And so, after a million years, this story updates once again! With a relatively minor chapter that serves as setup, but still, an update!

Now, let's answer some reviews:

Nobody245: Hmm, I'm still wondering about the evil future self, but I'll keep it in mind.

Carvenstone: No, because the ones hiring her are the highest authority in Royal Woods. If she gets on their bad side, they'll make her life a living hell.

Guest: Yup, it's an epilogue. So, in a way, you could consider THIS chapter a prelude.

Mr. Haziq: Yup, I looked it up too and it pretty much is one of those

And now, to the chapter!

"ACCESS DENIED."

Leni input some code by typing on her keyboard, all while being watched by Principal Huggins.

"ACCESS DENIED."

"Try again," the man stated.

"Like, why?" Leni said as she pulled her goggles up. "I'm pretty sure that there's totes no way to hack into the Index."

"There's gotta be," the principal folded his arms. "The Index had to have been hacked, how else could Lincoln Loud have become anything other than an Outsider with a brand new Cliche? It just doesn't make any sense."

"And we're not gonna make any progress either," Leni sighed as she stood up. "Let's just leave it here for today, okay?"

The principal groaned. "Fine, let's leave it there. Thanks again for the assistance, Leni."

"I'm just happy to help," Leni answered as she grabbed a bag and headed for the door. "I'll be going now."

The principal nodded, and Leni left shortly after, leaving the man to ponder what to do now.

"You're such a weird case, Lincoln Loud…"

The bell rang as Lincoln and his childhood squad walked out the school, the snow-haired boy being accompanied by a certain young girl clinging to his arm.

"So, the school year's just started, and you already have a girl clinging to your arm," Ronnie Anne snickered. "Got to say, compared to how it took half a year before Cristina did the same with you, that's a big improvement."

"I know what you're trying to do, Ronnie Anne, and it's not gonna work," Cristina put a hand behind her head and one on her waist as she posed. "I already know I'm irresistible to Lincoln!"

"Your panties are showing," Clyde dryly stated.

"Ohoho! Jokes on you, Clyde, I switched to shorts yesterday!" Cristina boasted proudly.

"Ignoring the obvious fanservice bait," Clyde eyed Darcy. "Who's the girl coming with you?"

"She's a new girl in town," Lincoln answered. "She and her… parents, I think? Moved recently."

"Lincoln and his friends paid me a visit, and he told me I could live in the same place as then!" Darcy innocently proclaimed. "So that's what I did!"

Cristina paused and blinked twice. "His friends?"

"She means us!"

It was then that the Ynovation girls arrived, Polly waving her hand with a wide smile as Cristina shot back with a look of hostility.

"Those girls again…"

"You sure seem to be getting swarmed up with cute girls, Lincoln," Ronnie Anne quipped, before glancing at Darcy with concern. "Just please make sure they don't end up corrupting the kid, okay?"

"I promise I'll keep her safe."

"Oh come, you talk as if we were Antagonists or something," Giggles chuckled. "I mean, Haiku maybe."

The Crystal Ball user shot a look at the magical clown before Lincoln joined the Ynovation girls, his childhood squad waving goodbye as he left.

Except Cristina, who narrowed her eyes.

"Well, that was another uneventful school day," Haiku remarked before looking at Lincoln. "Wanna go to my house to do something more fun?"

"Haiku, please, we're in public," Giggles groaned.

"I mean training!" Haiku rolled her eyes. "Why do you guys always default to me wanting to get in Lincoln's pants?"

"Because you've always been the most teasing and provocative member of the group."

"You'd do the same in my place, right?!"

"Not really, no."

Darcy turned to the guy and raised an eyebrow. "Lincoln, what are they talking about?"

"Trust me, Darcy, it's better if I leave it untranslated," Lincoln hummed. "Now, for other options: I can only imagine the chaos that would happen if I took Darcy to my house."

"We can't go to my house either," Tabby sighed. "My parents will end up thinking I brought back my daughter from the future."

Darcy tilted her head. "Do we really look that much alike?"

"No, but that's never stopped my parents before," Tabby chuckled. "I guess the time travel business got to their heads."

Polly then raised her head and scratched her chin in thought…

"I think my house should be fine. The backyard's perfect for training, so if everybody's okay with it, we can go there."

"Fine by me," Tabby and Giggles said in unison.

Haiku paused. "I'm okay with it too, but do you mind if I talk with Lincoln at my house? There's something I'd like to address before we go."

"Can I come?" Darcy asked.

"Sorry, Darcy, but this is between Lincoln and me," Haiku replied with a smile. "You'll get to play with him as much as you want once we're done, okay?"

Darcy pouted and released Lincoln. "Fine."

Polly smiled and nodded. "Sure, just don't take too long."

Haiku nodded, and she promptly grabbed Lincoln's hand and took him to her house, Darcy waving goodbye alongside the rest of Ynovation.

"So, your request to quit Space Watch was rejected?"

The only thing Luna did in response was finish her drink before crushing it with her bare hands, sending shivers down Leni's spine.

"I'm sorry if I angered you."

"No, its not you who I'm angry at, it's the council!" Luna clarified as the hacker sat next to her. "They've been doing this since the start of Cliches: as soon as they reach a comfortable "status quo" that benefits them, they'll do everything in their power to keep it that way, and it's just… ugh!"

Leni rolled her eyes. "You'd think with the abundance of cosmic-themed Cliches, that they could find a replacement in, like, no time flat."

"Again, they don't care about finding a good replacement," Luna narrowed her eyes. "The only thing they care about is keeping their precious status quo intact."

Leni hummed. "That's, like, a bummer."

"And what about you?" Luna asked as she handed Leni a drink. "What did Lincoln's principal request your help for?"

"Bah, he wanted me to hack into the Index System to verify if Lincoln really was designated a Protagonist," Leni opened her drink and took a sip. "And it was a totes waste of time! The security system is impenetrable; you'd need to be part of the council to get a look inside the system."

Luna took a deep breath and threw her can to the trash can, saying:

"Leni… do you think the system could've been hacked to make Lincoln a Protagonist?"

"Hmm, if that were the case, the only ones who could've done so are those with access to the Index System, like the council."

"It can't be the council: they're too stuck up in their own little worlds to pay attention to our family."

"But who else could've done it?"

Luna took a deep breath and rubbed her forehead. "That's a question for another day."

Luna was given another drink by Leni, who sported a little smile. And the Superhero grabbed it, returning the smile.

The sisters promptly bumped drinks, and gulped them down.

Haiku knocked the door of her house three times before a teen girl with black hair, tiny pink horns and a devil-like tail opened.

"Oh hey, that's the kid from next door, isn't he?"

"Yeah, he is," Haiku sighed. "Lincoln, this is my… older sister, Maggie."

"It's a pleasure to meet you."

Maggie flashed a tiny smile and hummed, snickering with a teasing tone as the trio walked inside.

"We're only here to talk for a bit, Maggie," Haiku groaned. "We're not going to do anything funny."

Maggie snickered. "Sure you're not."

"Horns and a devil's tail," Lincoln pondered out loud. "So, what's your Cliche? Demon Lord?"

"Not exactly," Maggie licked her lips. "You see, my Cliche's called Succubus."

It was then that Haiku decided to grab Lincoln's arm and drag him upstairs to her room, slamming the door shut while catching her breath.

"Thanks for that. As soon as your sister said she was a Succubus, I was hoping you'd take me away," Lincoln sighed. "Now, what is it that you wanted to discuss?"

"Oh, right," Haiku faced the boy and pocketed her hands. "I wanted to apologize for the whole… you know… having you try to grab something in my cleavage just for the fun of it."

"No, it's okay," Lincoln replied, waving his hand. "I knew you were just joking."

Haiku went quiet, a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Haiku, you were joking, right?" Lincoln asked, voice growing concerned.

Haiku's blush intensified. "It's just that I've seen my sister do it all the time, and I wanted to know how it felt…"

"What's with the childish excuse?!" an astonished Lincoln exclaimed.

"I know it's not the best excuse, but at least it's something!" Haiku snapped back. "Besides, I can't exactly help it."

Lincoln tilted his head.

"Maggie and I are twins," Haiku explained. "And because we're twins, things are… a little weird between us."

"I think I get what you mean," Lincoln snapped his fingers. "Studies suggest that when twins are born, their Cliches affect each other. In my case, my sisters Lana and Lola were born at the same time: so Lola got some draconic features, while Lana has some immunity to ice."

"Oh, so you know, that makes this so much easier to explain," Haiku breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay, so, the same thing applies between me and Maggie. As you can imagine, Maggie's Cliche affected me in a… physical sense."

"Yeah, I… I noticed," Lincoln folded his arms. "But did it affect you in any other way? Like do you have other powers, or mental… changes?"

Haiku giggled. "If you're asking if I want your dick inside of me, then don't worry, I don't."

If the universe they lived in had RPG elements, Lincoln would've suffered a critical hit from how blunt Haiku said that.

"For the most part, I only got an early growth spurt. And yes, I will admit, I do sometimes get dirty thoughts," Haiku sighed. "Although, I don't know if that's all since, you know, Succubus is one of those Cliche that only really becomes fully active once the user reaches full maturity. Who knows, maybe when I become a woman, I'll turn into a sex-crazy nymphomaniac."

"I'll be sure to run to the hills if that does happen," Lincoln laughed dryly and nervously. "But wait, if that's how her Cliche affected you, then how did yours affect her?"

Haiku scratched her chin. "From what she's told me, she can see the future through glass, but I've never seen her do that myself. There's no doubt she got something, though."

"Hmm, I see. Well, Haiku, I'll keep this in mind if you ever try to be provocative again, but also, please try to stay modest?" Lincoln frowned. "I'm already dating Cristina, and the last thing I want is for her to get the wrong idea."

Haiku scratched her chin. "Is she jealous?"

"Yeah… very…"

And as the duo kept watching, Cristina stared at them from the skies, her eyes glowing pink before she turned around and flew away...
