Over at the Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Logan Jindrak and Ezra Bridger were relaxing around a good meal at Docking Bay 7, the main quick service restaurant in Galaxy's Edge. The two friends were seated in the middle of cargo containers and famous pilots like Poe Dameron, who was having a fun chat with Finn, and Kazuda Xiono, who had a little group snack with Ace Squadron.

"Too good!" Logan beamed whilst enjoying his Yoeshrimp noodle salad with a chocolate milk. "I don't understand why nobody ever told me about this restaurant before; food's delicious, here!"

Ezra chuckled before swallowing a bite of his Smoked Kaadu Ribs. "Good thing I discovered it with the rest of my friends, then. Traveling the galaxy as a member of the Spectres allowed me to discover many restaurants a bit everywhere." His face then twisted into a sad expression. "Kanan liked to take us to a certain restaurant on Lothal to celebrate our victories, when he had the chance..."

Logan gave his friend a little nod of sympathy. "Yeah, I saw everything Kanan did during your time as rebels, and even a bit before that. He really seemed like the kind of friend you'd want to have in a dark galaxy like that of the Empire. He was my favorite character in your show, and I wish I had the chance to meet him in person..."

"Yeah..."

Seeing as the atmosphere was getting sad, Logan decided to light up the mood. "Did you notice, when we arrived, that there were two numbers marked on the side of the ship: 77 and 83. These numbers are supposed to represent the date of start and end of the original Star Wars Trilogy. The owners must've added this as an Easter Egg of sorts for fans like me."

"Really? You noticed that?"

"... Not really. Actually, it's Gabriel who told me about it once," Logan admitted with sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "You know he's an absolute master in the art of knowledge and trivia about everything related to the Magical World." The young man took a sip from his box of chocolate milk, licking some of it off his lips. "Too bad they don't have blue milk here; I always wanted to try it, but never thought about it."

"We can go to the Milk Stand after we're done eating; they have both green and blue milk," Ezra suggested. "Tell me something, Logan, if you could visit any planet in the limitless galaxy of my world, which one would it be, and why?"

A big question, indeed. Logan fell back in his seat and rubbed his beard as he thought about it. "Oh boy... Which planet, in the entirety of Star Wars..." It took about thirty seconds, but he came up with an answer. "There are three planets that come to mind. First is Coruscant; it's a giant metropolitan city that must be quite the sight to behold. There must be plenty of places to visit and thousands of meals from different culinary cultures from across the entire galaxy - just the thought makes me salivate! The second planet would be Ahch-To because it's where green milk is produced - but mostly because of the Porgs. I just wanna cuddle with those little space puffins all day long!"

Ezra couldn't help but chuckle at his friend's behavior. "You mean like with the plushie at your home?"

"Yeah... But maybe I should be softer with a real one. The last planet I'd like to visit is Naboo. It's my favorite planet from the Prequel Trilogy; it seems like the kind of place you'd want to go to during summer to relax near a lake and enjoy the heat. The capital city of Theed seems like a nice place to live in, too."

The two friends continued chatting about various topics until a new figure stepped into the ship restaurant. An elder man with a brown beard and hair dressed like a mercenary. He had a lightsaber, Bryar pistol, personal energy shield, and DXR-6 disruptor rifle strapped to his belt. Another belt passed over his left shoulder, holding thermal grenades and a Packered mortar gun (or PMG) on his back. He seemed to be looking for someone.

"... Cheese. And. Crackers! It's Kyle Katarn in person!" Logan beamed

"Kyle Katarn? I think I heard that name before," Ezra said.

"What, you don't already know who he is?!" Logan asked, shocked by his friend's response. "Kyle Katarn is the protagonist of the Star Wars: Dark Forces games, whilst also being a major character in the Jedi Knight series! That guy's so tough that the Star Wars fans are calling him the 'Chuck Norris of Star Wars'! Not only that, but when Luke created a new Jedi Order following the end of the Empire, he selected Kyle as his second-in-command. That guy's legendary!"

"Who's Chuck Norris?" Ezra asked.

"Never mind." Kyle ran his gaze across the restaurant before stopping it on the two boys. He started walking in their direction. "Oh my cheese! He's coming our way!"

Indeed, Kyle Katarn made his way over to their table and stopped near the boys. "Which one of you is a Jedi Master?" he demanded.

"Hum... I think that would be me," Ezra responded. "Well, I am a Jedi, but I never officially received the Master's title. Hope you don't mind."

Kyle just gave a little 'Hmm' before looking at Logan. "You're a Dream Defender, correct?"

"Y-Yes!" Logan yelled a bit too loud. "My name is Logan Jindrak! I'm a huge fan of your games! I-It's an honor to meet you in person, Master Katarn!"

"Not master; just call me Kyle. I don't feel at ease with titles."

Ezra scratched the side of his head. "There's something I struggle to understand here; how can you be here, in the Magical World? I thought that all the Star Wars games like Jedi Knight and Dark Forces had been made non-canon when Disney acquired the franchise."

"That was true at first. However, I was re-made canon through the Star Wars card game, back in 2016. This is how I was allowed to leave the Wasteland and come back to live in the Magical World," Kyle explained. "Being able to see my old friend again was a big joy for me. But that's not the reason I'm here; I've come seeking your help."

"Our help? For what?" Logan questioned.

"A young Padawan has gone missing, and I have been tasked with bringing her back," Kyle explained. "After doing my researches, I managed to locate her in a fortress on Geonosis." He took out a hologram and showed a representation of the fortress in question.

"On Geonosis?" Ezra asked. "But I thought the Empire had been driven out after the second Death Star got destroyed. There's practically no life remaining there."

"I'm afraid it's not the imperials we're talking about here. And not the First Order either," Kyle clarified. "This Padawan in question has been made prisoner by battle droids of the CIS."

"The CIS? But they all got taken out when the Empire rose to power... Then again, both the Empire and the First Order are still present in Galaxy's Edge, despite being taken out in their respective trilogy. Guess these factions are just here to stay," Logan deduced whilst rubbing his beard. "But what does this have to do with us?"

"This fortress is so heavily guarded that even I cannot go in there on my own and save the Padawan without getting killed. This is why I need backup," the Jedi/mercenary explained. "Not many Jedi or Dream Defenders are available at the moment, so can I count on you two?"

"Of course you can! We'd be happy to help you on one of your extreme missions!" Logan beamed. "Can we go now?"

The group packed the food to go, paid the restaurant owners, and then departed with Kyle toward Geonosis aboard his ship, the Raven's Claw.

After a little trip through space, the trio landed on the dry, desert planet of Geonosis, struggling to find a spot to take their ship down. They picked up speeder bikes and used them to cross the seemingly lifeless landscape toward the fortress where the Padawan was being held. At one point, they came across a Hailfire droid that took notice of them and quickly turned around in the same direction.

"Oh no! That droid spotted us; he's gonna warn the fortress about our arrival!" Ezra called out.

Kyle pushed his bike fast enough to catch up with the droid, took out his PMG, and used it to blast the vehicle robot in two with only one shot. "Who's gonna warn them about our arrival?" he demanded with dry humor, pulling his weapon back on his back strap. "Keep going; we're almost there!"

About half an hour later, the trio arrived at the fortress. They parked their speed bikes before taking cover behind some rocks from where they could observe everything.

"This place seems heavily guarded alright," Logan remarked, shielding the powerful sun rays with his baseball cap. "Any idea how we could sneak in there?"

"Impossible; there's not a single unguarded spot," Ezra said. "Maybe you could get close enough to turn into your giant owl form and destroy everything before they can react? Like what you did in the Sorcerer's Arena."

"Negative; I could hurt the Padawan we're trying to save," Logan refused.

"There's only one way to go about this," Kyle informed the two friends. "We go in there, attack with all of our strength and skills combined, push to the dungeon, break the Padawan free, and escape with our lives before they can retaliate too hard... And I know exactly how to begin our little party..." A grin formed on his face as he charged his PMG.

The trio took the time to discuss their plan before taking action. Logan and Kyle approached the fortress' main door, while Ezra snuck his way from the side. The Jedi mercenary shared a nod with the Dream Defender before jumping out of cover with his PMG and shooting a few times to destroy the main gate and its defenses. This instantly caught the attention of every battle droid in the fortress, all of them unleashing a rain of blaster shots at the duo.

Getting his cue, Logan jumped in the action, protecting Kyle and he with a riot shield he created using his Magical Sketchbook. The problem was that defense turrets on the fortress' walls were pinning them down on their current position. That's where Ezra entered the scene. With all the droids focused on his friends, the young Jedi snuck from the side of the fortress and on top of the walls, using his lightsaber-blaster hybrid to cut down the droids in his path or stun them down. He eventually reached the command post of the fortress' defenses, took out the droids there, and turned off the defense turrets.

"Ezra did his part! Let's move forward!" Kyle yelled and used both his Bryar pistol and green lightsaber to charge and defeat all the battle droids in their way.

Logan did everything he could to support with his riot shield, sometimes cutting down enemies with his Fenrir Keyblade. Ezra had jumped down the fortress' wall and joined in the fight, when a trio of Droidekas rolled out of nowhere, activated their shields, and started shooting at the blue-haired man, forcing him to take cover. Whilst seeking a solution to his predicament, he noticed a metal scrap on top of a structure and used the force to make it collapse on the Droidekas, destroying them all at once.

Before long, all the battle droids in the area had been destroyed, sparkling scraps lying everywhere. "Phew! Quite an exercise!" Logan sighed as he pulled his riot shield away. "Sorry for not being a better help, Kyle, but fighting in long range isn't exactly my strong point."

"You've been great, Logan. Same for you, Ezra," the Jedi mercenary assured as their friend joined them back. "However, this isn't the time to rest; more battle droids will come from the nearby garrison soon. We must find the Padawan and get out of here before that happens!"

The trio rushed to the fortress' main building, cutting down the guardian droids and avoiding the traps once inside. They eventually reached the prison section and began searching the cells one by one in hope of finding the Padawan. "Guys! I found her!" Ezra called to his friends, who immediately rushed to the cell in question.

There, indeed, was someone locked in that cell. An anthropomorphic wolfess with dark fur. Her eyes were a glowing golden yellow, with her eyelids being purple and the fur on top of her head long enough to touch the tip of her nose. Her dress was reminiscent of the typical "punk rock chick" style, with a black off-shoulders top that left her stomach exposed and ripped low-hanging jean pants that had a hole for her fluffy tail. She didn't wear any shoes, leaving her canine feet out. A leather belt was wrapped around her waist, and she had gothic bands on her wrists. That girl seemed busy doing graffities on her cell walls.

"Somebody finally decided to come and help me? About time," she said with a tired, almost annoyed tone instead of the relived one Logan and Ezra had expected. "It was getting boring in here."

"You should feel lucky someone came to help you at all, young lady," Kyle remarked as he opened the cell for her to come out. "How did you end up in here anyway?"

The wolfess gave a shrug. "I may or may not have gone to their droid factory and written inappropriate things on all their droids getting built. And this may or may not have pissed them off, got them to corner me, and toss me in there, using boredom as punishment." She placed a paw on her hip. "Who are you guys anyway?"

"I'm Logan Jindrak, Dream Defender, and the first ever professional wrestling coach in the Magical World. These two Jedi are Ezra Bridger, captain of the Ghost Crew, and Kyle Katarn, second of Luke Skywalker - and member of the coolest Jedi club! What's your name?"

"Liquorice. Liquorice Loup," the female canine responded.

"We can get to know each other later," Kyle interrupted the moment. "For now, we must leave this place before any more of these droids can... Too late." Looking through the building's windows, the four of them saw a huge battalion of droids coming their way, with B-1 battle droids, super battle droids, Droidekas, droid commandos, and AAT-1s.

"There's a lot of them," Ezra remarked. "We're gonna need a good plan to get out of here alive."

Logan rubbed his chin to think about, before snapping his fingers. "Guys, I think I know how to beat those guys! But for that, I'm gonna need you to hold them long enough for me to reach their position."

Kyle stared at the droid battalion and shook his head. "I don't know if we can hold those guys for long on our own..."

"Don't worry; this time, you got me to back you up," Liquorice assured with a confident grin. "It's gonna be a piece of cake."

"Wow, you're very sure of yourself, for a Padawan," Ezra remarked. "Anyway, we'll do what we can to win you time, Logan. And I think I know just how to do it right..."

With Logan going one way and Ezra, the other, Kyle and Liquorice made their way to the main building's entrance, taking a good look at the tens of droids pointing their weapons at them. "You are cornered," a super battle droid declared. "Surrender now, and your lives will be spared."

"That does sound like a good deal; surrendering now, and living to fight another day," Kyle said with his hands in the air. However, as some battle droids approached to apprehend the two of them, a grin formed on his face, and he swiftly took them down with his DXR-6 disruptor rifle. "Liquorice, now!"

The two Jedi reached their hand/paw forward, sending a combined force push that knocked many battle droids away. With this declaration of hostility, the entire legion started shooting at the duo, prompting Kyle to activate his personal shield to deflect the shots whilst shooting at them with his rifle.

"Liquorice! Now would be the perfect time to use your lightsaber!" Kyle remarked when the wolfess didn't use her Jedi weapon.

"I don't have any," she informed. "My saber got destroyed when I got captured."

Kyle gave a blank look at the Padawan before going back to shooting the droids. "Seriously? You younglings can't keep a lightsaber to save your lives!"

At that moment, Ezra re-activated the fortress' defense turrets after re-programming them, catching the battle droids by surprise. Unfortunately, they didn't last too long, forcing Ezra to return to his friends' side to deflect the blaster shots with his lightsaber as well as take the droids down with his stunning packs.

"Come on, Logan, it's now or never!" Kyle groaned whilst using his PMG to blow up an AAT-1 tank.

As if on cue, a strong light glowed near the battle droids until a gigantic snowy owl appeared in the same spot. Logan grinned and destroyed the robots with sweeps of his wings and stomps of his talons. The battle droids shot at him with their blasters, to little effect. At one point, a super battle droid shot a rocket Logan dodged before it could touch his head. "Wow! Watch those wrist rockets!" he exclaimed, chuckling a bit afterwards. "I always wanted to say that..."

Opening his wings, Logan flapped them hard to send powerful gusts of wind that knocked away the entire droid battalion like dust. "Another victory for the Owl!" Logan beamed. He then looked at his friends and kneeled down. "Want a little ride back to the ship?"

Kyle, Ezra, and Liquorice all climbed on Logan's back before he opened his wings and took off toward the Raven Claws ship.

The Raven's Claws brought our friends back to the Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. With their target rescued, it was time for the group to part ways with Kyle Katarn.

"Thanks for your help, young ones," the Jedi mercenary gratefully said as he shook hands with Logan and Ezra.

"It was an honor for me, Master Katarn-er, sorry, I meant Kyle," Logan assured.

"Will we get to see you again?" Ezra asked.

"Sure; I spend most of my time teaching at Luke Skywalker's temple on Ossus; if I'm not gone on a mission, that's where you can find me," Kyle explained. "See ya around, folks."

As the Jedi mercenary walked away, Logan and Ezra turned their attention to Liquorice. "Want us to accompany you back home?"

"I have to make a stop at Savi's Workshop first; if I return without a lightsaber, my master's gonna scold me for hours," the wolfess responded. The trio started walking toward the destination in question. "How did you turn into that giant bird back there?"

"That's because I possess Drawing Magic that allows me to turn into animals by using this," Logan explained, with showing his Magical Sketchbook. "I also happen to be a Keyblade Wielder. Not exactly the same as being a Jedi, but it's still cool. You know, I actually have a Jedi friend who learned from Rey Skywalker and the Resistance. Do you know her?"

Liquorice shook her head. "I don't think so; I learned at a temple with masters from the days of the Republic during the Clone Wars Era."

"Really? They still exist?!" Logan asked in shock. "After going around Galaxy's Edge so many times, I thought the Magical World had gotten rid of everything Prequel-related, only keeping stuff from the original and Disney trilogies."

"Nope; we still have temples teaching the old ways of the Jedi," Liquorice confirmed. "Does that mean you like the Prequels?"

"Yup! They're by no means perfect, but I think they have a lot of things people like me can enjoy. I always thought the hate they received was exaggerated - people seem to forget that without them, we wouldn't have gotten amazing Star Wars stuff, like the Clone Wars and Mandalorian series, or the Battlefront video games." Ezra cleared his throat. "Oh, and Rebels, too. Of course."

The trio eventually made it to Savi's Workshop, where lightsabers were created for young force-sensitive people. "Wanna come in and make your own lightsaber?" Liquorice offered Logan.

In response, the young man nervously rubbed his hands. "I don't think that'd be a good idea... See, after defeating Hex, I wanted to get my own lightsaber, but I almost ended with one arm cut off. Ever since, not a single shop in the Magical World wants to help me build a lightsaber. Maybe that's for the better."

Both Liquorice and Ezra blinked their eyes at this revelation. "Alright," the wolfess shrugged. "I'll go build my own alone then. See ya guys later."

With their canine friend gone in the workshop, Logan and Ezra went to the Milk Stand so that the former could finally try blue and green milk. They both tasted delicious! About one hour-and-a-half later, Liquorice stepped out of Savi's Workshop with her brand-new lightsaber.

"Look at this!" she exclaimed with showing her weapon. It took the form of a metallic black cylinder with a red button on the side (like Qui-Gon Jin's lightsaber) and a round sphere at its bottom (like Obi-Wan's first lightsaber in The Phantom Menace). She pressed on the red button to activate the laser blade, which was purple.

"Whoa! Purple?" Logan exclaimed. "That's a rare color. Pretty fun coincidence; my friend I mentioned earlier also had a purple lightsaber."

"That's not a coincidence at all," Liquorice said as she turned her saber off and tied it to her belt. "My master's lightsaber is also purple; it simply means he and I are very much alike."

This line made Logan realize a detail. "Wait a minute. You're training at a temple from the Clone Wars Era, and your master has a purple lightsaber? Just out of curiosity, who's your master?"

"Mace Windu. Why?"

Logan's eyes turned round like coins. He filled his lungs with air and pushed a scream that echoed across all of Galaxy's Edge: "WHAAAAAT?!"

Author's note: *chuckles* Poor Logan. Must be quite the shock to learn that his new friend is trained by the Jedi Council's champion of the Clone Wars Era. Liquorice Loup is a OC created by my friend, Trela1, who likes Rio as much as I do.

I forgot just how fun it is to go on adventures in a Galaxy Far, Far Away... Especially when it's with Kyle Katarn himself! For those of you who don't know, Kyle Katarn was a video game character who debuted as the protagonist of Star Wars: Dark Forces. His popularity led to him being nicknamed the 'Chuck Norris of Star Wars' by fans. He briefly got de-canonized, but that was thankfully fixed years after. However, I guess only a small part of his story remains canon as he was the one to steal the Death Star plans in his game, while we all know this honor now goes to the late Rogue One crew.

I know you must be thinking I've been introducing a lot of OCs lately; that's because, with most of the Dream Defenders gone (go read TheDragonSaver's 'Across the Mirrorverse' to know why), I was afraid Logan wouldn't have many OCs to have fun with. That's why I decided to invite some of my friends from everywhere to join my story - the more, the merrier, right?

Quick note, you must have caught a certain Battlefront 2 reference, XD!

Next time: Logan faces problems with vampires and wolves in Hollywood Studios.
