Logan stepped in the sand, looking all around him. He seemed to be on the beach of a tropical island, with the sun shining bright and a cool breeze passing by. However, except for him, there didn't seem to be anybody around. "Hello?! Is someone here?!" Logan called, but received no response. Or so he thought.

"Hi!" Jumping upon hearing this voice, Logan almost immediately turned around to see he was in fact not alone on this island. Standing a few feet away from him was a little owl with pitch-black feathers, a gray beak and talons, and golden eyes. In terms of appearance, he more closely resembled a screech owl, with two pointy ears on top of his head. He was also pretty small, reaching about Logan's waist (if you didn't count the ears). The strangest part, however, was that he had white face painting with black markings, noticeably around his eyes, and the small symbol of a black owl on his forehead. Logan could see the handle of a black, metallic baseball bat peeking from over his shoulder, probably held by the strap going over his shoulder.

"Logan, right? I've been wanting to see you for a while," the little owl cheerfully continued. Judging by his voice, Logan guessed he was a kid.

"Who are you? And how do you know my name?" the young man asked. Before he could receive an answer, however, everything around him started turning to light.

"Oh? It's time already? Too bad, looks like we're gonna have to wait for another time. See you then!" The owl waved his wing at Logan before opening his wings and flying away.

"No! Wait!"

Logan fluttered his eyes open, waking up in his bedroom. He felt the warmth and relaxation of someone who just woke up from a pleasant sleep... Yet, there was a little confusion in the mix. Who was that little owl? All of this was a dream... but he felt so real to Logan. And he couldn't remember seeing anything nor anyone like him before.

"Man, I shouldn't be drinking too much fruit juice before going to bed," the young man mumbled to himself. Getting up and stretching his arms, he headed for the kitchen to get a good cup of water. His plan for the morning was to relax in front of his television before going to get his breakfast at Pizzafari, in Discovery Island. Before he could begin, however, his cellphone started ringing. "Hello?" he answered.

"Hey, Coach Logan! How are you dew-ing?" asked a voice on the other end.

Logan chuckled as he immediately recognized it. "Dewey, I already told you not to call me 'Coach'; it's making me feel old."

"It's like you want, Coach!" Logan chuckled again. "Listen, I called you for a very important reason! My brothers and I are organizing a huge sleepover party with all of our friends at McDuck Manor tonight. There's gonna be games, snacks, and we could even watch a movie or two. It's gonna be so much fun, we'll stay up until morning. You should come; it will rock!"

"That does sound fun indeed," Logan agreed. "However, are you sure it'd be a good idea for me to come? I mean, you guys are all teenagers, while I'm a young adult; that would make me unfit, wouldn't you say?"

"Bah, who cares if you're a bit older than us? Don't forget, you're also the guy who saved my life by beating the same skeletons nonstop for three hours with your huge sword! Anybody that cool is welcome at my home! Well, at my uncle's home, I should say," Dewey corrected.

"Yeah, guess you're right about that," Logan mused. "Well, your invitation sure sounds fun. Plus, it'd give me the chance to see you and Della again, whilst also meeting all of your other friends. Okay then, I'll be there tonight!"

"Cool! The party'll start at eighteen; see you then!" Dewey beamed and hung up on his side.

Logan pulled his cellphone back in his pocket and then placed his hands behind his head. "A sleepover at McDuck Manor, huh? Man, it's been so long since I last had a sleepover... This should be fun. As long as Lena doesn't 'kid' me in front of everybody else. Oh, who am I kidding? Of course, she will..."

In the city of Duckburg, McDuck Manor proudly stood atop a mountain overlooking the entire city. After doing some traveling, Logan arrived at the front gates with a backpack, announcing his arrival before they were opened, allowing him to enter the property.

"This place is just as amazing as the first time around," the young man mumbled to himself, admiring the residence, whilst making his way to the entrance and knocking at the door. He got answered by a familiar female duck.

"Logan!" Della beamed, wrapping her human friend in a bear hug that squeezed the air out of him. "How you doing, kid-Er, I mean, young adult?"

"I'm doing great, Della, thanks for asking," Logan mused, both from the hug and how she caught herself back in time. "Dewey told me there's a sleepover going on here, and invited me to join; is it true?"

"Sure is; everybody has already arrived! They're in the dining room, enjoying Mrs. Beakley's pierogi. Come on, before they finish everything!" Della urged, grabbing Logan by the arm and pulling him inside the mansion. "What's in the backpack?" she asked as they headed for the dining room.

"I brought one of my gaming consoles along with a few multiplayer games, in case everybody would like to play," Logan explained.

Della frowned a bit at this. "The boys will probably like this idea, but the girls aren't exactly 'gamers'. Except maybe Gosalyn."

The duo arrived in the dining room, where the long table was already occupied. Huey, Dewey, Louie, and B.O.Y.D. were seated on one side whilst Webby, Lena, Violet and Gosalyn were seated on the other. All of them were enjoying a plate of pierogi under the watchful eyes of Mrs. Beakley.

"Look who just arrived! If it isn't my favorite coach!" Dewey beamed upon seeing the newcomer.

"Hello, Dewey. Mrs. Beakley," Logan politely greeted.

"Welcome, Mr. Jindrak. I have prepared your seat," Mrs. Beakley said with leading the young human to a seat before serving him a plate of pierogi. "I hope you will enjoy your meal."

"I'm sure I will; this smells delicious," Logan responded, taking a good sniff of the food. Before he could take his first bite, he noticed all the eyes were set on him. "Huh, is there something on my face?"

"I don't think we ever met, did we?" Gosalyn asked. "Who are you?"

"Oh, of course, where are my manners?" Logan asked as he stood up from his chair. "Everyone, my name is Logan Jindrak, member of the Dream Defenders, and pro wrestling coach of Dewey. You're Gosalyn Waddlemeyer, right? I watched the original Darkwing Duck cartoon for the first time, not so long ago."

"Really? That's cool. What did you think of it?" Gosalyn asked.

"It was a lot of fun. No offense to you, guys, but I enjoyed it more than the original Ducktales cartoon. The 2017 reboot still remains my favorite of all three, though," Logan explained. "You were my favorite character of the show, Gosalyn - well, the original version of you, I mean. Your tomboyish and spiritual personality made you such a charming character. And your adoptive daughter-father relationship with Darkwing was definitely one of the show's highlights."

"Thanks," Gosalyn gratefully responded.

Logan looked around and took notice of a detail. "Hey, where's Mr. McDuck? Won't he be eating with us tonight?"

"Mr. McDuck was needed for a reunion in Italy; he will be back in about two days," Mrs. Beakley explained. "Until then, Della and I are in charge of the manor and of your safety."

The teenagers (and Logan) enjoyed their dinner and had pleasant conversations. The triplets and Webby told Logan about their last adventure - apparently, they fought off a giant dragon to retrieve a lost treasure in a cave in England. Dewey took out a sacred sword to help, claiming it was his 'dew-stiny' to save the country from the dragon. Of course, Louie had to point out the fact he only got the sacred sword because the dragon accidentally destroyed the stone it was stuck in.

"Say, Webby, are you still practicing your Potion coven studies?" Logan interrogated the young duck.

"Yup! Sure do!" she beamed. "Lena managed to get me a book of recipes and instructions from the Boiling Isles; it contains plenty of useful tricks! I'm about to master the creation of an elixir that turns the body into rubber and makes you bounce all around. If you want, I can make one flask for you."

"I don't dislike the idea," Logan chuckled to himself. "That way, I'll finally what it's like to have powers like Luffy."

"Webbigail, what did I say about turning to rubber and bouncing everywhere in the mansion?" Mrs. Beakley sternly asked.

"Not to do it, Granny..."

Logan turned his attention to Violet. "Say, Violet, Webby told me that you started studying a coven from the Boiling Isles just like her. Is it true?"

A smile formed on the hummingbird's beak - she was visibly happy he boarded the subject. "Yes, indeed, my friend. Whereas Webbigail followed the Potion coven, I opted to go for the Oracle coven due to my vast knowledge of the mystical arts. Are you familiar with the covens, Logan?"

"Can't say I am," he replied, rubbing the back of his head. "I did see a few episodes of The Owl House, but didn't pay attention enough to be familiar with the overall world and characters. How does the Oracle coven work, exactly?"

"You asked the right person. The Oracle coven is bound to everything that specializes in mind-based magic, including fortune-telling and spirits." Violet reached into her backpack and took out a crystal ball. "I may not have totally mastered it, but with this little wonder, I can telepathically communicate with others, launch attacks of dark purple fire, sink into shadows, summon spirits, and more. There's probably even more things to learn that I don't know of. Would you like to see a demonstration?"

"Huh, that's not a good idea, little sis," Lena interfered. "I strongly doubt Mr. McDuck would be happy to return and find his dining room completely destroyed.

"Tss, killjoy," Violet scoffed.

This last statement from the teenage duck caused Logan to blink his eyes in confusion. "... Did you just call her 'little sis', Lena? What does that mean?"

"What do you mean, 'what does that mean'? I've been adopted by Violet's fathers after the Moon Invasion, remember? This technically makes me her big sister," Lena explained.

"Oh boy, I think I missed some elements from the show...," Logan mumbled whilst rubbing his eyes.

Violet pulled her crystal ball back into her backpack before jumping on the table and getting into Logan's face with a serious look. "Now, it's my turn to ask you a question, Logan Jindrak. Dewey told us that you managed to fend off an army of cursed skeletons for three hours with only a sword during your trip to Transylvania: what sword did you use, and how did you manage to extend an effort like this for such a period of time?"

With his personal space getting invaded by the hummingbird, Logan nervously looked right and left, understanding he was better not to lie to her. "Huh... Well... To be honest, I'm not sure how I managed to pull this off. Dewey's life was in danger, and, as his friend and teacher, I could not stand the idea of him getting hurt..." He looked down. "The only thing I remember is getting really mad to the point of blacking out and simply swinging my sword over and over again... Like, have you ever felt so angry you could no longer feel any pain, fear or fatigue?"

Violet placed a finger on her chin, thinking about it. "What you just described sounds a lot like the mentality of a berserker warrior - those Vikings who could get into a trance-like fury to cut through legions of enemies." She looked back at Logan. "What sword did you use again?"

Logan lifted his hand and summoned the Owl Buster. This instantly caught the attention of everybody around the table. "Wow! This is even bigger than the Sword of Swanstantine!" B.O.Y.D. exclaimed in awe.

"I present to you all the Owl Buster."

"This is most impressive," Violet remarked, analyzing the blade with interest. "I don't think I've ever seen a sword this huge before. Where did you get it?"

"That's a good question." Logan stared at his weapon with a thoughtful look. "It was during the final battle against Hex. He was about to defeat me and my friends, and just as I was about to run out of strength and give up, Gabriel told me to keep going on despite the difficulty. Next thing I know, this sword is in my hand with a whole armor covering my body. We won the fight in the end... but I still don't know how to summon that armor again. The sword, yes, but not the armor."

"Strange, indeed," Violet agreed with a nod of her head. "Can you describe me how you felt in that armor exactly?"

"Alright, that's enough. Pull that sword away, Mr. Jindrak," Mrs. Beakley interfered. Logan followed her instructions and made the Owl Buster disappear. "You kids will have all the time to talk swords and sorcery for the rest of your slumber party. Right now, finish your pierogi before it gets cold."

Everybody followed the housekeeper's instruction and kept eating without taking out any sword, crystal ball, nor magic item. Once dinner was over, it was playtime, so everybody headed into the living room to have some fun. Logan took out his console and asked the teens if they wanted to game a little, but they preferred playing some board games. Gosalyn suggested playing Scrooge Monopoly, but the triplets and Webby weren't very enthusiastic.

"I know!" Webby suddenly said. "How about we play this game: 'Never have I ever'? I heard it's a very fun game!"

"I heard about it, too; how does it work?" B.O.Y.D. asked.

"Basically, it's a game where we all take turns asking questions to the group, starting with the sentence 'never have I ever'. All those who actually did the thing in question must either raise their hand or take a sip from a drink," Webby explained.

"That sounds fun," Violet remarked. "It could be a good way to learn more about each other AND enjoy doing so."

"Can we do the drinking version? I don't like raising my hand for nothing," Louie suggested.

"Okay, I'll go get the drinks," Logan said, getting up and heading for the kitchen. He returned with cups and bottles of soda for the teenagers, some water for B.O.Y.D., and apple juice for himself. While he was at it, the young man decided to bring a few snacks as well.

Everybody was now seated in circle with their drink next to them. "Alright, who wants to go first?" Huey asked.

"I think we should let Webby do it, since she's the one who got the idea," Logan suggested

"Thanks, Logan." The teenage duck started rubbing her chin. "Let's see... Oh, I know! Never have I ever... kissed someone!"

Nobody took their cup, except for Logan, who happily took a good sip, feeling slightly proud at being the only one to do so. "You really kissed someone, kid? Who was it?" Lena asked.

"You didn't know? Destiny and I are together now," Logan explained. "We decided during Hex's invasion. There was also my ex-girlfriend, but that's another story. And please, Lena, stop calling me 'kid'."

"Whatever you say... Kid," the teen duck replied with a smirk, causing Logan to drop his head.

"How am I supposed to look cool, if I'm getting kid-ed all the time...?"

"Can I go next?" B.O.Y.D. asked, everybody nodding a yes at him. "Okay, never have I ever... stolen something!" Except for B.O.Y.D., everyone grabbed his/her cup and took a sip. The robot kid seemed surprised.

"Yeah, can't say I haven't stolen anything before meeting Darkwing Duck and Launchpad," Gosalyn admitted. "It was all for good intentions, though."

"It's also true that I had to steal a bit to survive AND to follow my auntie's schemes," Lena said, rubbing the back of her head.

"I'm sure nobody forgot the entire episode of my time heist," Louie mumbled.

"And I stole my friend's work, a decision I regret even to this day," Logan said with a sad look at the floor.

Seeing the atmosphere losing its fun vibe, Gosalyn decided to go on with the next question: "I got one: Never have I ever gotten lost alone in a foreign country."

Once again, practically everybody took a sip of their drink. "You know that we're always having adventures across the entire world. And those adventures rarely go according to plan," Huey pointed out.

"Technically, I'm not from this country, and I got lost many times in the past," Logan explained. "My turn to go. How about... Never have I ever re-gifted a gift!"

Huey, Dewey, and Louie exchanged gazes before taking a sip from their respective cup. The others stared at them, waiting for the explanation. "Huh... You know that, every Christmas, Uncle Donald likes to knit sweaters for us?" Huey asked.

"And how we don't like wearing them because they're super itchy for the skin?" Louie continued.

"Well... Every year, we wear them for a while before gifting them to charity and waiting another year before Uncle Donald knits a new pair," Dewey finished the confession.

"Guys, that's not cool. You know your uncle always make them with love and care," Webby scolded her three friends.

"We know, we know, and we would wear them with joy! But they're so itchy on the skin, it's a nightmare. The thing is, we never told Uncle Donald because we're afraid of hurting his feelings," Dewey kept explaining. "We know how much knitting for us counts for him."

"Yeah, not every act of kindness is pleasant, unfortunately," Logan remarked with rubbing the back of his head. "Anyway, it's your turn, Lena; have a good one?"

The teenager rubbed her chin to think about it... when a smirk slowly formed on her beak, making her friends feel worried somehow. "Here's one that's guaranteed to embarrass all the guilty ones. Never have I ever... peed in the middle of a theater!"

A silence settled in the living room before everybody burst in laughter. "Pee at the theater?! Where'd you get that one, Lena?!" Louie mused.

"Yeah! You'd have to see a pretty scary or funny movie to let yourself go!" Dewey agreed.

Everybody was laughing of good heart... except Logan, who remained silent for some reason. With a nervous expression on his face, he slowly reached his hand to pick up his cup, bring it to his lips, take a sip, and pull it back down, hoping nobody would notice. Unfortunately for him, all the others saw him doing, and were now staring at him with their eyes wide open.

A long, awkward silence overtook the atmosphere until Louie finally spoke: "... Logan... Explanations, now."

"It was back in 2016," Logan started after gulping. "I went to my local theater to watch Ice Age: Collision Course on the very day it came out. We were in the middle of the week, so there was nobody in the theater except for me. I made the huge mistake of drinking too much of my sweet juice before the movie actually started, so I got the need to use the bathroom right in the middle of the film. But I didn't want to leave and miss potential important moments or funny scenes. So, I looked all around me, made sure I was completely alone, and then..." Logan went red in the face.

The teenagers all burst out laughing, as if we had told them the funniest joke over. "Are you kidding?! You really released everything on the floor?!" Gosalyn asked.

"Yup," Logan confirmed, the blush never leaving his face. "I can tell you I left the theater as fast as I could when the movie ended; I didn't wanna be around when the guy in charge of cleaning the rooms between two presentations would understand what happened. As if that wasn't bad enough, the movie was terrible..."

At this point, everybody was laughing almost to the point of tears. "Oh my gosh, I'm not sure I wanna go see movies with you now, Logan! Unless you bring a bottle, maybe?" Dewey suggested.

"Aw, come on! I only did it once! And since that time, I always use the bathroom and avoid drinking too much before watching a movie," Logan attempted to defend himself. However, it did nothing to ease the teenagers' laughing storm. He tried to hide his blushing face underneath his baseball cap. "Great, I can kiss my chances of being considered cool goodbye now..."

Once the laughs finally died down, the group played their game of 'never have I ever' for a little longer, discovering funny anecdotes about each other, until they grew tired. They decided to watch a horror movie - one of those that were old, cheesy, and filled with clichés. Huey couldn't stop pointing out the goofs and unrealistic aspects (much to his friends' annoyance), whilst Louie yawned and almost fell asleep mid-way through. After the movie, they engaged in a boys versus girls pillow fight, from which Logan decided to withdraw as he didn't want to make it unbalanced (there were five boys and four girls, after all) and also wanted to see what the young ones were capable of.

"Right! No! Dropkick with the pillow now, Dewey! Dropkick with the pillow!" Logan coached his student from the sidelines.

"I'm trying! But it's not easy to dew when pillows are magically flying at you!" the blue kid replied, ducking an incoming pillow. "That's not fair; stop using your magic, Lena!"

"Nobody said pillow fights were supposed to be fair, Blue!" Lena responded, using her magic powers to sent pillows flying at Dewey.

Gosalyn smacked a pillow at B.O.Y.D., who didn't react. When he smacked her in return, she was sent crashing into the couch. "Oh, sorry, Gos; I sometimes forget how much strength I possess," the robot boy apologized.

The brawl went on for two or three hours. Louie eventually pushed a long yawn and announced it was time for him to go to sleep. Everybody decided to follow his example as they were feeling tired. While the teenagers all slipped in their sleeping bags, Logan had to settle on the living room's couch since he hadn't brought one. Della had the kindness to offer him a pillow and a blanket.

"Do you want a pajama? I can lend you one of my old ones," Della offered the young human.

"That won't be necessary, Della; I always sleep with just my boxers on," Logan informed. Taking a comfortable position, he placed his baseball cap over his face and got ready to sleep. "Goodnight, Della."

"Goodnight, Logan." The female duck affectionately patted the boy's head before waking away, turning the lights off on her way out. It only took a few minutes for Logan to drift off to sleep...

Logan groaned, waking up to realize he was lying on sand. He took a few seconds to recover before standing up and giving a good look around him. It looked like the island of the previous night's dream. However, it only had sand and stones instead of trees. And the sky was dark as night rather than clear as day. Where was he? And why were his friends also lying all over the beach?

"Where am I?" Louie asked as he woke up alongside the others. "Oh no! Not that dream where I'm at the beach in the middle of winter again!"

"Wasn't expecting to start a dream so soon after falling asleep," Gosalyn remarked as she got up and dusted some sand off her hair.

That remark caught Logan's attention. "Wait a minute. Did you all just fell asleep? Like me?" Everybody looked at him in surprise and responded positively.

"Oh, no!" Lena groaned with rubbing her cheeks. "We're having another cursed nightmare again!"

"But that's impossible; we took out Magica for good. There's no way she'd try the same trick again - even she isn't that stupid," Violet pointed out.

Logan looked all around. "Why does this place look so familiar? And how did we end up here?" His eyes suddenly widened. "Look out! Something's coming!"

The island's ground shook as something landed from above. A giant, multicolored lobster creature with a strange symbol on its back. It pushed a roar that forced everybody to cover their ears. At the same time, five portals opened from every side of the island, releasing dangerous, yet adorable-looking creatures.

"Wait a minute, I know those things! They are Dream Eaters!" Logan exclaimed, summoning his Fenrir Keyblade.

"Dream Eaters? What are Dream Eaters?" Louie asked, starting to panic.

"They are creatures that reside in the Dream Realm to feast on people's dreams. There's two species of Dream Eaters: the Spirits that remove bad dreams, and Nightmares that plant bad ones whilst also being hostile to living beings... Like us."

Louie gulped. "Any chance those guys are Spirits?" Logan shook his head at this question.

One of the Nightmares, a Necho Cat, jumped at Logan, who took him out with one swing of his Keyblade. "Defend yourselves, guys!"

"How? We don't have any weapon!" Gosalyn responded.

"We're in the Dream Realm, Gos! This means we can summon everything we want!" Dewey used this fact to his advantage, appearing in a blue pro wrestling attire. He started fighting off the Nightmares with the pro wrestling tricks he learned, mixed with some dancing moves.

"Anything we want, huh?" Gosalyn asked, her beak twisted into an interesting grin. Following her friend's example, she used this faculty to envelop herself in light, revealing a new costume that consisted of a green domino mask with a matching archery outfit that had a purple Q on the front. She had green archery gloves and boots, alongside a folding bow and a quiver filled with all sorts of arrows strapped to her back.

The young female duck wasted no time grabbing an arrow from her quiver and shot it at a Pricklemane. It exploded on impact, taking it out instantly. Throwing a fist in the air, she then noticed Logan was chuckling at her. "What?"

"You took inspiration from your Quiverwing Quack persona of the original show, didn't you?" he asked.

"Yeah. I decided to give it a more modern twist, though. Does it look good?"

"Sure; you look like Artemis, from the Young Justice cartoon."

Gosalyn gave him a hesitant look. "Is she cool?"

"Absolutely; one of the coolest characters in the show!" Logan confirmed.

This made Gosalyn smile and throw a fist in the air. "Alright, get ready to face the Artemis of St. Canard, you freaks!" She charged and fought off the Nightmares with all sorts of arrows.

Many Nightmares surrounded Lena and Violet, but neither of the Sabrewing sisters showed any sign of fear. "Ready to kick some bad dreams booty, sis?" Lena asked with a grin.

"All the time!" the hummingbird replied with a matching grin. Summoning her crystal ball, she launched a dark purple fireball at a Staggerceps, destroying it in one go.

Lena, meanwhile, transformed into her super sorceress form, making her costume appear alongside her new hair and eye color. Many Nightmares charged at her floating form, only to all get taken down by her powerful magic blasts. Violet even backed her up with her dark purple fireballs. "Sister power!" the two of them beamed in unison.

"Time to make one of your greatest fantasies come true, Webby!" The young duck surrounded her body with pink fire, re-appearing with a complete pink and white alchemist that included gauntlets, a bag, and bottles and flasks containing various liquids, all of them held by straps around her waist and over her shoulder. When one of the Nightmares tried to attack her, she drank one of her elixirs that summoned a magic shield around her, knocking it away.

"Ha-ah! I bet you weren't expecting me to use this elixir that'll keep me safe from physical attacks for a short time!" Webby declared. She took out more flasks and tossed them at the Nightmares to make them explode. "However, there's nothing stopping me from hitting you!"

Using his imagination, Huey stretched his legs to grow taller, and delivered huge kicks to every Nightmare he came across. "Not this again!" Dewey exclaimed from afar.

"Hey, I already told you I'm not good at imagination stuff, Dewey!" Huey replied, stretching his arms Mr. Fantastic style to whip at the Nightmares.

Louie's hands turned to gold, allowing him to turn the Nightmares into gold statues, just as he temporarily could, when the gods of Olympus came to Manor McDuck. "Too bad I can't do it in real life anymore," the young duck mumbled to himself as he turned a Hebby Repp to gold.

After fighting on their own for a while, Logan and Dewey came together to fight off the legions of Nightmares with tag team moves. "With me, Dewey!" Logan exclaimed as he hit a double dropkick with his student on a Juggle Pup.

"Oh yeah! You stand no chance against Team Dewgan!" Dewey beamed with a smirk.

This comment earned him a confused look from his coach. "Dewgan?" he asked with shooting a Fire spell at a Hailbird.

"Yeah! Y'know, Dewey plus Logan; Dewgan," the young duck explained as he German Suplexed a Meow Wow.

"... We'll think about it." Just then, the gigantic, multicolored lobster from earlier came charging at the two friends, its claws open and spinning quickly like buzz saws. This forced the two of them to jump out of the way to avoid being turned into sushi. "Cheese and crackers! I had forgotten about that Char Clawbster!"

"Is he strong?" Dewey asked.

"No idea; I never played Dream Drop Distance."

Dewey distracted the huge Nightmare with his dancing/wrestling, whilst Logan attacked with swings of his Keyblade. The problem was that the Char Clawbster had a very solid shell and didn't stop flying all around with hidden wings on its back. Under normal circumstances, this wouldn't have bothered the young Keyblade Wielder, as he could fight for extended periods of time. However, the fight had been going on for quite a while now; the Nightmares kept coming through the portals, and the young ones were getting tired. Logan couldn't help them all as he was busy with the Char Clawbster - not even mentioning his arms and shoulders were still aching a bit from his fight with the skeletons, preventing him from striking at full power.

"This is not good at all!" Logan mumbled to himself, frowning defiantly as the strong Nightmare approached him, ready to strike with its claw.

"RED PHOENIX BLAST!"

Before Logan could attack again, a flash of red passed before him, and hit the Char Clawbster straight in the face, making it collapse and fade away. Remaining still in surprise for a few seconds, he eventually turned around to see the one who launched this attack. It was none other than the same little black owl he had seen in his other dream. He was holding his baseball bat forward, some red energy emanating from it.

"I-It's you again!" Logan exclaimed.

"Yeah, sorry for being late, but you know that vigilantes can't be everywhere all the time," the black owl explained with a little smile as he rested his weapon on his shoulder. "But don't worry; now that I'm here, everything will be fine!"

The little black owl flew over to one of the portals that he managed to close with a few gestures of his wings. Some Nightmares blocked his way to the second one, but that didn't seem to bother him. "Come to me, Sir Kyroo, Iceguin Ace!" he yelled with his wings raised. The Spirit Dream Eater symbol appeared in double before two figures jumped out of them. There was an orange, winged frog armed with a cattail blade and a lilypad shield, and a multicolored penguin with a cloud scarf that looked like an aviator.

The Dream Eater named Iceguin Ace flipped on his tummy and started sliding across the field, as Jameson hopped on his back and smacked all the Nightmares in the way. Sir Kyroo backed them up by blocking the enemy attacks with his lillypad shield and slashed at them with his cattail blade. With this strategy in place, the avian was able to dart from one portal to the other, closing them one by one. He eventually closed them all, leaving only the present Nightmares to take care of.

"Balloonra!" he exclaimed, rising his bat in the air to summon colored balloons that flew at the Nightmares, destroying them all. With victory confirmed, he allowed his two friends to go away whilst he put his baseball bat back in its scabbard.

"Woo-hoo! We're number one! We're number one!" Dewey beamed while jumping on the spot.

"Is everyone okay?" Logan asked the teenagers as he made his Fenrir Keyblade disappear. They all responded positively.

"Hey, nice work, kid. Thanks for the help," Violet told the little black owl.

"No problem," he answered with a smile.

"Okay, I just have a few questions," Huey said. "Who are you, where are we, how did you close those portals, how did you beat these monsters with a baseball bat, and why do you have paint all over your face?"

Blinking his eyes curiously, the young bird touched his painted face with a wing. "That's my vigilante costume."

"Easy now, Huey," Logan interrupted him. "He just saved our lives, so let him breathe a bit, okay? That being said, I, too, would like to know who you are and why you keep popping up in my dreams."

The black owl stared at Logan in silence for a few seconds before talking: "You're Logan Jindrak of the Dream Defenders, right? Can we speak privately for a moment? I have something important to tell you."

"Huh? Sure, if you want. Be right back, guys." Logan walked away from the teens with the young bird who saved them all. "That was an impressive attack you did back there; it took out the Char Clawbster in one go."

"Don't worry; you would've defeated him eventually, but there would have been some casualties by the end of the fight," the little bird explained.

The duo stopped once they were far enough to be out of hearing range. "So? What did you want to tell me?"

"First off, allow me to introduce myself." He took a pose with his baseball bat. "My name is Jameson, also known as the Black Owl, Dream Walker, and vigilante of the Magical World."

"Nice to meet you, Jameson. A Dream Walker, you say? That means you can go around people's dreams as you want?"

"Yup! The Dream Realm has pretty much become my home. When I'm not out in the Magical World to catch bad guys, that is," Jameson explained.

"That's very impressive; you seem pretty young," Logan remarked. "How old did you said you were?"

"I'm almost two years old," the kid replied with an innocent smile.

A few seconds of awkward silence passed by. "I'm sorry, did you say you were only two years old?" Logan asked in disbelief. "Dude, that's impossible; you're clearly ten, minimum. I'd even say you look twelve."

Jameson rubbed one of his two ears at this. "Yeah, that's the way my mom designed me to be... And that's also the reason I wanted to talk to you alone, Logan. I wanna tell you who's my mom, and my reasons for being here. But it's a big secret; if you wanna hear it, I'm gonna have to mumble it in your ear."

"Hum, okay," Logan unsurely replied and kneeled down. Jameson covered his beak with his wings as he mumbled the information in Logan's ear. The young man's eyes tuned as round as coins upon hearing the information. "What?!" he practically yelled and fell back on his rear end. "Your mother... is Magica de Spell?!"

"Shh! Don't yell it out loud!" Jameson exclaimed with a feather in front of his beak. "But yeah, that's the truth. I know that you guys linked to the McDuck Family are familiar with her... And not in a good way..."

"But that's impossible; Magica didn't have any lover in the show!" Logan said in disbelief. "Unless she somehow found a way to recover her magic and create you from a shadow?"

"Not exactly. You see, after helping Lena mastering her magic, my mom started traveling everywhere in search of a way to get her revenge," Jameson explained. "One day, she found a book about necromancy and decided to use it to make another puppet for her schemes. That puppet... was me. Using many supernatural ingredients and Materia, she created me with the power to enter and leave the Dream Realm at will, hoping I would be able to steal energy from people's dreams and make her more powerful than she has ever been before."

Logan rubbed his eyes at this. "That old witch never learns; trying the same trick again when it has already failed with Lena..."

"That must be why she designed me to be different from her; Lena was rebellious and sought freedom from my mom. That's why she turned against her, apparently," Jameson continued. "I think she wanted to avoid the same problem by making me soft-hearted and more naïve, so that I would be more obedient. After I learned enough about my powers, she released me in the Dream Realm to carry on my mission."

"And yet, here you are, saving people's lives from Nightmares. Must I understand that you strayed away from your goal? Why?" Logan asked with his arms crossed.

"Because of him." With a gesture of his wing, Jameson summoned a Meow Wow Spirit Dream Eater, who affectionately licked his cheek. "While traveling across the Dream Realm, I had to fight many Nightmare Dream Eaters. I thought, at first, they were nothing but monsters that had to be taken out... But one day, something incredible happened. A Nightmare I defeated actually transformed into a Spirit Dream Eater, and started following me everywhere, like my best friend."

He marked a pause to pat Meow Wow on the head. "This made me understand that good can be found within evil, not only with Dream Eaters, but within everybody. The next thing that completely changed my goal was the day I discovered that old movie, The Crow. It developed my love for vigilante stories, like Batman and Zorro. That's why I created this (he showed his baseball bat), and started chasing bad guys across the Magical World. Naturally, vigilantes aren't supposed to reveal their identity, so I found myself a costume to remain secret." He patted his painted face.

"Pretty good; you look like a pro wrestler I saw before," Logan remarked with an amused expression. "So you completely gave up on your mother's schemes in favor of being a vigilante and helping as many people as you can?"

"Yup! I managed to find myself a little spot to call home in the Dream Realm. The Spirit Dream Eaters are now like my family," Jameson concluded, giving a nuzzle to Meow Wow before allowing him to go away.

Logan nodded before taking Jameson's wing and pulling him away. "Come on, let's go tell the others. I'm sure Lena will be happy to meet you."

Jameson, however, did not seem to agree. "No, no, wait!" He broke free from Logan's hold. "I-I can't tell Lena who I am. Not now..."

"Why not?"

"I did some researches on my mother. I'm aware that Lena is her 'niece'," Jameson said, doing quotation marks with his feathers, "if you can even call her that, and that my mom has a brother named Poe. I already considered going to meet them multiple times... but you probably know neither of them are on good terms with my mom. And, since they're the closest thing to a family I have, I'm afraid they'll hate me for being mom's creation."

"What? Come on, dude, I'm sure it won't bother them," Logan assured. "It's true that Lena isn't exactly on good terms with your mom, but Rachel told me that she and Poe had been trying to find her ever since the end of Hex's invasion because he misses her and wants to fix his family. I strongly doubt he would be unhappy to learn he has a little nephew, who saves people everywhere. And Lena would surely be happy to have a little cousin too. What do you say?"

Jameson stared at Logan for a moment before turning his head to look at Lena in the distance, and then at the ground with his wings crossed. "I don't know... I never went back to mom after becoming a vigilante because I'm afraid of the way she'd react to me disobeying her..."

Logan sighed. "Look, if you don't want to introduce yourself to Lena and Poe, it's alright, I won't force you. Just remember they're here if you're feeling alone, alright?"

The little owl nodded hesitantly before opening a portal next to him. "I'm gonna go now. This dream should be over soon; you'll all return to your bodies in the real then. Say hi to the others for me, okay?"

With his new friend gone, Logan returned to the others. "So? What did he tell you?" Huey asked.

Logan told them Jameson's name as well as his Dream Walker powers, but didn't say anything about his past nor link to the De Spell family. "The ability to live in the Dream Realm? Very interesting," Violet remarked. "I'll take notes about this, once we're back in the real world."

"For now, all we have to do is wait to wake up," Gosalyn remarked as she laid down in the sand. "I'm totally making myself a costume like this in the real world, even if my dad and Launchpad don't agree..."

Whilst everybody waited and discussed with each other, Logan nervously rubbed his eyes. "I hope Rachel and Poe won't find out I kept the existence of their relative a secret. They'll kill me, if that happens..."

Author's note: Phew! A lot of stuff to pack up in this chapter. First off, our new friend, Jameson, is a creation of my good friend, Jameson The Phoenix Owl. I based his face paint and the fact he's fighting with a baseball bat on real life pro wrestler Steve Borden, better known as "Sting", whom Jameson happens to be a huge fan of. When choosing the character's role in the story, I originally envisaged him to be a human adult vigilante, who helps people and don't speak much... But then, I realized we already have many strong and silent OCs in this story (Darkmare, Roman, etc), so I decided to make Jameson stand out by being a kid with a vigilante mentality. The idea to make him a creation of Magica de Spell's came after - I wanted to do something with her for a while, but didn't know what until very recently. Will Jameson have the courage to overcome his fear of rejection and approach his family?

While I never played Dream Drop Distance myself, I did check some videos online, and always liked the concept of Dream Eaters. Since they're kinda like Pokémon, and all. I'm also aware that Baloonga is considered a broken spell that makes the game too easy - it's practically a meme online. Let's hope Jameson won't abuse it to win all the time. For the Char Clawbster, I had to check a video online.

The idea for this chapter came from a story called "Spin The Bottle" by Tortured Artist; upon reading it, I wanted to write Logan having a sleepover with the Ducktales kids, whilst also introducing the last OC for a while. It was really fun having Logan learning more about the young ones' skills and talents, while he, in return, shared his magic powers with Violet, the most magic-interested character of the bunch. It was also SO COOL getting to use Gosalyn's Quiverwing Quack persona from the Darkwing Duck series. As Logan pointed out, this version was inspired by Artemis' design from Young Justice rather than her Robin Hood-like costume. Hope Disney won't be mad for this...
