Hello everybody, and welcome to a filler arc! Yup, this is totally filler! Nothing of importance will happen here!
Why am I making a filler arc when the plot is just about to get going? Good question…
Anyway, to the beach!
Lincoln couldn't help but groan to himself.
Just as things were starting to get serious, and things seemed to hint at an investigation… it suddenly switched to a beach episode.
To a place called "Horny Beach" of all names! This was so gonna devolve into arbitrary fanservice that moved nothing along!
Unless…
The guy took out his phone, dialed a number, and waited until the call was answered.
"Lincoln?"
"Tabby, hey! Glad you could answer!" Lincoln said with a cheerful tone. "Tell me, are you busy right now?"
"No, but I was thinking of training my Cliche Evolution. Do you need something?"
Lincoln took a deep breath.
"My family, as in my sisters and I, are gonna go to… Horny Beach, to take a little break from everything that's happening. I was wondering if you and the rest of Ynovation would like to come?"
"... Wow, Lincoln, I know hormones can make someone desperate, but I didn't think they'd hit you that badly."
Lincoln flinched. "Tsk, nice try, but Ronnie Anne taught me how to tell when people are messing with me, and that's what you're definitely doing right now!"
"Hahaha, yeah. Speaking seriously, though, I think that's a decent idea. I, for one, would like to take a breather from schoolwork."
"So?"
"I'll see if I can go, and I'll invite the other girls. And before I go, I wanna ask something."
"Ask away."
"Is Rosie coming too?"
As if on cue, the door to Lincoln's bedroom was kicked open, and Rosie barged in, wearing a teal one piece suit with lacy decorations.
"Dad, look at this swimsuit Aunt Leni let me borrow! Isn't it awesome?!"
Lincoln paused for a moment, then casually said "Yeah, she's coming" before turning back to the phone.
"Excellent, she can be a backup in case my Cliche isn't strong enough to get us what we want."
"Understood. See you there."
And Lincoln hung up, ready to prepare himself for the trip, all while a perplexed Rosie stood nearby.
"By the way, Dad," she blurted. "Is all of the family coming?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure everybody's coming," Lincoln answered. "Not Mom and Dad, of course, since they're busy in Scotland-"
"What about Aunt Lola and Aunt Lynn?"
Lincoln froze in that question, and hesitated…
Lola squeezed a stress ball in her hand, huffing:
"So, our siblings get to go to the beach, while we're stuck in this sterile hellhole."
"We've been dealing with this kind of situation for years," Lynn pointed out while resting in her bed. "I figured you would've gotten used to it already."
"Even if I got used to it, it would still piss me off," Lola narrowed her eyes. "Besides, I had a pretty rough day today at work."
"Oh yeah? How's Winston?"
"Hell if I know, and hell if I care."
Suddenly, the entrance opened, and a familiar quartet of girls walked to the sisters.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Lincoln's former Antagonist harem," Lola chuckled. "How he got away with acting friendly with you without being called a "Sympathizer" is beyond me."
Lynn stood up and raised an eyebrow. "He was called that a couple times, though."
"He certainly wasn't treated like it," Lola rolled her eyes and turned back to the quartet. "Anyway, what are you doing here?"
"We came here to check up on you and help keep the place… running," Girl Jordan confessed. "We're volunteers today."
Lynn tilted her head. "By choice or by force?"
"What kind of question is that, Lynn? Of course they're volunteers by force," Lola scoffed. "Who would willingly go to work in a place filled with the scum of the Earth?"
Stella took a step forward. "Someone who's been living on one side of the pond their entire life and wants to see how it is on the other side."
Lola looked disinterested before bouncing her ball on the wall.
"You know, there aren't any Detention Centers on the Badlands," Cookie blurted. "Think you could tell us how it feels being in one?"
"Oh, gladly! It's terrible."
Cookie smiled nervously. "We… might need more than that."
"Truth be told, it's pretty lonely," Lynn confessed, getting the quartet's attention. "We're stuck here for years while only getting a visit from our family once in a while. And the only other company we get is fellow Antagonists who are stuck in a similar situation."
"Can't you appeal to get out or get your sentence lowered?" Mollie suggested. "You know, like leaving on good behavior?"
"If that bunch of baloney actually worked, half the damn center's inmates would've left by now," Lola growled. "The truth is, the system works in a specific way, and requires specific things to be done for nothing to go wrong. In the case of Antagonists, we stay here, get out once in a while to "work," and then go back here to rot for the rest of our lives!"
"A-And what about those who are just interned here?" Cookie asked, trying to maintain a cheerful disposition. "Like that Bobby guy?"
"They're treated the same as everybody else, and even when they're allowed to go, they're given a strike for it," Lynn sighed. "And just like in Baseball, three strikes, and you're out. Or in this case, you're in."
"Volunteers!"
Everybody turned around to see the owner of this specific Detention Center, Flip, making his arrival.
"Stop talking with the inmates and get to work! There's too much to do to spend your time lollygagging with the criminals!"
And with his words spoken, the man left, allowing the girls to calm down.
"Well, looks like you have work to do," Lynn said as she laid on her metal bed. "Have a good day. This conversation is over."
"What?! But we… weren't not… done…"
Lynn began snoring, and Lola started to play with her ball. The quartet quickly realized they weren't gonna get anything else out of the duo, so they went to work.
Hopefully things only got better from here...
One change of clothes later, the Vanzilla took the Loud siblings to the
"Alright, here we are guys," Lori said with a smile. "Welcome to Horny Beach!"
The siblings came out of the van with excitement, with Lincoln and Lori being the last ones to leave.
"Hey, if you can teleport, why did we go here by car?"
"You know how taxing it is for me to teleport multiple people at once," Lori answered plainly. "Besides, Rosie insisted."
The lovechild from the future jumped out of the backseat, landing on her feet before perking up.
"Man, that was exciting! I've never been in a car before!"
Lori raised an eyebrow. "Are cars no longer a thing in your future?"
"No, the family just didn't wanna deal with cars after an incident with the Vanzilla," Rosie casually explained before looking at the vehicle. "By the way, yours is pretty sweet compared to mine. Looks state of the art, even."
Lori and Lincoln gulped. Their Vanzilla wasn't a state of the art deal like Rosie claimed, but if she thought so, her future's Vanzilla must've been an utter piece of junk.
"Well, we should get going," Loro stated, rubbing her hand. "Not only must everybody be excited to go to the water, but there's something I need to tell them before-"
"PERVERT CRABS!"
The trio ran to the beach, where they saw a set of crabs chasing after the sisters, with Luna flying and blocking the crabs' way.
"It's okay! I got this!"
Luna's eyes glowed and she shot a laser beam from her eyes at the crabs, not only causing the ground to explode, but also making the sand turn into glass.
Luna promptly flew down as everybody reunited, staring at the newly erected glass wall in disbelief.
"Hey, Luna?" Luan blurted. "Maybe you shouldn't use that technique again?"
"Agreed, eye lasers are no longer available."
"What happened, exactly?" Rosie inquired.
"Yeah," Lori took a deep breath and took a couple steps forward. "That's what I wanted to tell you."
The siblings raised an eyebrow, prompting the oldest sister to explain:
"The truth is, I was given quite the perplexing job offer. Something happened literally last week, and all of a sudden the Pervert Crabs became more numerous. I've been tasked to take care of the growing crabs, and if possible, find and stop the source from sending more."
"So, in other words," Leni folded her arms. "You took us here to, like, help you with work?!"
"Yeah, you promised us a break!" Lana whined.
"Which is what we're getting once we finish with the job," Lori clarified.
Lincoln put his hands on his hips. "Who even gave you the job in the first place?"
"That would be me!"
Suddenly, a massive surge of water emerged nearby, and from the top jumped off a shadowy figure, who landed right next to Lori and revealed herself as a woman with blonde hair, a purple bikini, and a golden trident in hand.
"Damn, what a bombshell!" Luna exclaimed with an excited smile.
"Greetings, Loud family!" the blonde woman cheerfully greeted. "I'm Carol Pingrey, the lifeguard of Horny Beach, and I need your help!"
