Okay, this time we're going to go back to the Loud Backyard and see how Luna and Rosie are doing against Lincoln. Will we see anybody else? I wanna focus on them and Lincoln's childhood friends, so it's unlikely, but hey, anything can happen in these kinds of stories!
So, without further ado, let's go!
Rosie and Luna backed away as Lincoln wildly swung his claws at them, his electricity fizzling everywhere as he kept screaming and roaring at the duo. Luna tried to strike him by charging her eye lasers, but Rosie promptly punched her chin hard enough to make her shoot them into the sky instead.
Naturally, Luna grabbed Rosie by the neck of her shirt. "What the hell was that for!?"
"We need to be careful when dealing with Dad!" Rosie exclaimed. "No matter how much stronger he has become, he's still only human-"
"HE'S STRONG ENOUGH TO MAKE ME BLEED, ROSIE!" Luna yelled, pointing at her bleeding nose. "Anybody who can do that is superhuman at best, inhuman at worst!"
Rosie slapped Luna on the cheek... and not only did Luna barely even move, but Rosie grabbed her hand and winced in pain while waving it.
"See, that's how it's supposed to work!" Luna pointed at Rosie. "Because not only did you not hurt me, but you hurt yourself more!"
As if on cue, Lincoln tackled Luna once again, causing her to roll around before she regained her footing and landing on her feet, baring her teeth against Lincoln as he dashed straight for her and tried to tackle her again, only for her to grab him by his cowlick...
And find herself wincing in pain as her fingers were cut, forcing her to block the tackle with a headbutt of her own, sending the two of them sliding back and making some distance between them.
Naturally, Luna looked at her sliced, bleeding fingers, then back at Lincoln... whose cowlick now looked surprisingly sharp.
"He sharpened his cowlick!?"
As if to answer Luna's question, Lincoln swung his cowlick wildly, releasing several slashes that the superhero promptly dodged by jumping and flying up. This, however, caught Lincoln's attention, prompting him to aim a finger gun at her and shoot several quick streams of lightning at her, each easily dodged as she snarled:
"How the hell is electricity related to edges anyway!?"
Gritting his teeth, Lincoln aimed two finger guns at once, ready to shoot at Luna...
"DAD! STOP!"
But suddenly, Rosie embraced him from behind, activating On the Edge to try and not be overpowered by his aura as she held him tightly, saying with a shaky voice:
"Dad, I'm sorry for putting you through all of that! I just wanted to help you using knowledge from my own timeline, but it's clear to me that that knowledge isn't going to help all the time! I thought you'd be able to achieve On the Edge if you were put through stress, like my Dad did, but I was wrong! So very wrong!"
Rosie tightened her grip.
"I didn't want to hurt you! I didn't want Aunt Luna to hurt you! I just wanted to help the only way I knew how! The only way I was taught how!"
Lincoln shivered in place while Luna looked with sympathy.
"So please, just... just detransform now. We'll find another way. A way that doesn't result in you being hurt. A way that doesn't result in anybody being hurt. I'm sure we can find it, 'cause I believe in you, Dad!"
The boy paused, looking positively shocked... but then his eyes glowed and he closed them, wincing and growling as he shook his head.
"D-Dad?"
And suddenly, he roared while releasing a massive shower of lightning, striking himself and Rosie as well, with the shower being hard enough to prompt the latter to release him, allowing him to send her flying into the house with a kick.
"Did everybody feel that?" Lori asked as everybody looked around the house.
"I think it came from outside," Leni said. "But aren't, like, Luan and Lucy the only ones out?"
"Lincoln, Luna, and Lincoln's daughter are also there, remember?" Lola pointed out before sipping her tea. "They're probably getting a little rough training with him."
Hearing that, Lynn's eyes widened. "Luna getting rough while training? With Lincoln?!"
Lola eyed her sister with a raised eyebrow... only to realize the implications and spit out her drink.
"What are we doing still here!? Let's go!"
Back with Rosie, the girl struggled to stay up as electricity surged through her body, causing her to wobble before falling to her knees, Lincoln slowly walking towards while twitching.
"D-Dad, why did you do that?" Rosie asked. "D-Did I scare you or...?"
But Lincoln didn't respond, continuing to walk as he began foaming from the mouth.
"Why aren't you answering?" Rosie took a step back. "When I got Over the Edge, I could still-"
This caused Lincoln to stop and stare at Rosie, who shut her mouth and watched the guy... right before he aimed his finger gun at her, lightning charged. However, before he could electrocute her, Luna snatched the girl and flew high, just in time for the sisters to barge in.
"What the hell's going on here?!"
Luna landed on the ground, lifted the crying Rosie and threw her to the other sisters.
"This little rascal caused Lincoln to go into overdrive!" Luana yelled. "She had me fight him to his breaking point and this caused him to turn into something called Over the Edge!"
"Over the Edge?" Leni asked. "What's that supposed to be?"
"It's the imperfect form of On the Edge..."
Everybody looked down to see Rosie trying to stand up, face drenched in tears and sweat as she crawled to Lori and grabbed her leg, voice shaking as she begged:
"But this is completely different than what I expected! Dad won't respond to me! I don't even know if he's conscious! And I don't even know how to stop him!"
Rosie faced Lori, barely keeping herself together as she begged:
"Please, do something! Save my Dad!"
It was then that Lincoln stomped around, facing the girls while breathing heavily, eyes bloodshot and nose bleeding. He edged closer to the girls, who prepared to attack...
"Hey, Lame-O!"
Everybody turned around to see a new entity had joined the brawl, but it was one they couldn't see clearly. Of what they could notice, she was a girl, if her hips and voice were indication.
"Yeah, I said Lame-O! Ronnie Anne ain't the only one who can call you that!"
A veing began to pop in Lincoln's forehead.
"YES! SHE! IS!"
And so, he lunged at the entity, who summoned pom-poms and sang:
Duck and dodge and push and shove!
The entity crouched down just as Lincoln lunged at her, twirling around to avoid his incoming lightning trike before pushing the next one out of the way, then swinging her hips until she shoved them right at his face, sending him flying straight into the tree. This crash caused Lincoln's transformation to finally run out, making him slid down to the ground unconscious as the figure added:
That's the way we show our love!
Then, forming a heart shape, she shot the shape at Rosie, healing her back to full health as the entity walked out of the shadows, revealing her full form to be a girl with white skin with various spots in a paler skin tone, wearing a cheerleader outfit with bat wings on her back and bat ears on her head. She had long brown hair that eventually turned black on the lower half, with one bang of it covering her left eye, revealing a golden right eye.
"Who..." Lori blinked twice. "Luan? Lucy?"
The girl laughed out loud before proclaiming dramatically:
"I'm neither Lucy nor Luan! I'm the union of their combined joy! The perfect mix between Cheerleader and Dhampyr!"
Then, she pulled a pose and smiled:
"Cyan Loud!"
