Author's note: Before we begin the after party, I'd like to take the time to thank every author who submitted an OC and/or Magical World characters for the Hero's Rumble: TheDragonSaver, Princess Gakoshi, JOHNHAMMOND1993, SuperWolfieStar, Tomada The Falcon, Jameson The Phoenix Owl, AvalorianJaquin, alexc1209, b-wolf95, Trela1, SolitaryGrayWolf, Dominic, Princess Peacock and RiodanJaneiro97.
A few hours after the conclusion of the Hero's Rumble, Logan woke up at the Olympus Coliseum's infirmary. Destiny filled him in on everything that happened and the young boy was so happy to have actually won the match that he jumped everywhere and almost re-opened his wounds. When he was allowed to leave the infirmary (which happened quickly thanks to the gods' divine healing magic), the members of Team Underdog X and Team Gracious Bird were all present to congratulate their leader on his victory.
"That was an impressive performance, my friend," Dastan said and patted Logan on he shoulder.
"Sure, I would've liked to win the rumble myself, but I'm not taking anything away from you!" Sprig beamed, exchanging a bump-fist with his friend.
Della wrapped her arms around the young man, giving him a hug. "See, Logan? I told you you could win. All you had to do was to give it your best."
"Thanks, Della," Logan gratefully said and returned the hug. "And thank you for never giving up on me, no matter how hard I screwed up."
"Don't worry about that; we all screw up at one point or another," Scott casually pointed out. When everybody stared at him, he quickly corrected: "Not that I think you screwed up hard or anything! It's just that, because of what you did before, no, I-"
"It's okay, we all understand, Scott," Destiny interrupted him and rolled her eyes, amused by her friend's clumsiness.
A few moments later, when night time rolled around, everybody was gathered at the Olympus' banquet room (or rather, cloud) for a huge feast to celebrate Logan's victory. The gods and goddesses of Olympus were present alongside the participants (those who decided to stay, anyway) and some of the watchers or friends of participants who wanted to attend as well. Possibly the largest table in the Magical World was in the center of the banquet, decorated with enough food to feed an army... And Logan was currently digging through all of it, like it was the last food in the world.
Everybody who happened to be close enough watched the young man stuffing his stomach in complete silence and with their eyes wide open. When he noticed it, Logan stopped. "Is there a problem?"
"You sure like to eat a lot," Eight remarked with a little chuckle.
"Yeah; I always eat big meals after a day of pro wrestling training... And, today, I won the biggest fight of my life, so it counts double!" Logan replied before digging in the food again. Hercules and Maui chuckled at this before deciding to join the young man and turn this into an eating competition.
Nearby, Aline and Tomada were conversing with each other with some drinks, chuckling as they watched the scene unfold. "I still can't believe he actually won the Hero's Rumble! I'm so happy for him!" Tomada beamed.
"Yeah, me too," Aline agreed with a nod. "And I'm certain he's really happy to have you as his best friend. Say, is it true that you have a crush on certain Aristocats?"
This question almost made Tomada spit out his drink. "You mean Marie and Duchess? H-How do you know?"
The Cat Girl giggled a bit. "Logan told me. And it just so happens that I'm close friends with the Aristocats, including Marie ad Duchess." With a little grin, she elbowed Tomada in the wing. "If you want, I could introduce you to them."
If she wanted to turn the falcon into a red bird, she succeeded. "Y-You'd do that?"
Ben was sitting in his corner, just enjoying a little food and not really taking part in the party. The young wolf clearly did not take his defeat in the match well. "Hey! What are you doing there by yourself, sheephead?" He turned to see Toren the Jaquin flying his way. "The Olympus musicians are playing some tunes, and it's AMAZING! Why don't you come and enjoy it?"
"No thanks, I'm fine here," Ben replied somewhat coldly, looking away.
"Aww, come on, you're not pouting just because you lost, are you?" Toren asked.
"It's not that; I knew that my chances of winning were small in the first place... But I was hoping to make a good impression and get noticed by everybody in the Magical World," Ben admitted, looking down at his drink. "That's the reason I decided to participate in the first place."
"That's it? Really? Dude, that Shepherd's Wool power of yours is impressive - you practically spent most of your time in the match incognito! Plus, you did manage to take me out, it counts as something, right?" Toren attempted to cheer him up.
Ben took a moment to think about what he said and actually smiled a bit. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Managing to take a Dream Keeper out of the match will surely get me some positive attention..."
At this statement, Toren awkwardly rubbed the back of his head. "About that... Let's just say that I'm about to not be a Dream Keeper anymore and will instead learn to be a prince."
"Why's that?" Ben curiously asked.
"You'll understand soon." Opening his wings, Toren waved goodbye to the wolf and flew off to go have fun with his friends.
Liquorice sat back in a chair and simply strolled on her cellphone as Blu was receiving quite a scolding from Jewel right next to her. Eventually, she pushed a sigh and looked up from her phone. "Would you cut the guy some slack, Jewel? It's not like he flirted with someone else or anything; he simply fell to Almyra's hypnotic spell and nothing else!"
"This has nothing to do with the spell!" Jewel exclaimed. "Even before she took him out, he was practically ogling at her eyes and hips - I saw it in his eyes!" She crossed her eyes and gave a stern look that made Blu shrink down.
This made the wolfess roll her eyes. "Because you didn't ogle at Roberto when you returned home, in your second movie, maybe?"
"... Good point."
Roman and RDJ were laughing together as they shared a drink, the wolf gulping down a cup of fresh milk and the bounty hunter some of Ancient Greece's finest wine. Ever since the mission to rescue Sora from the Virtual World, the two of them had practically become drinking buddies, and would always meet in taverns or bars after a day of work.
"My favorite part was whenever I got to use my jetpack!" RDJ laughed before taking a sip. "Flying over the battlefield and shooting at everyone while remaining out of reach was such a thrill... Too bad that little jaguar kid ruined the fun for me..."
"Did you manage to get your jetpack back?" Roman asked.
The bounty hunter nodded. "Yes; he was kind enough to retrieve it and remove whatever spell he cast upon it after the match ended. Would've been sad to lose one of my most favorite pieces in my arsenal. Overall, I'm really satisfied with the way I performed in the Hero's Rumble; it's gonna get me more attention and contracts for sure. What about you."
"I still have a lot to learn, but I also think I did pretty well. Would've been better if I had managed to take out that angel guy and actually got to fight the Sword Mage at her full potential," Roman honestly replied. After taking a sip of milk, he reached into a pocket of his vest and took out the honorary Dream Defender card that Logan gave him after saving Sora. "... Say, have you thought about Logan's offer of becoming fully-fledged Dream Defenders? Officially joining their group, I mean?"
RDJ looked down at his cup. "I did... Honestly, I don't think I'll take that offer. They all seem like good people, but I just don't see myself going out of my way to help everybody in this world. Don't get me wrong; I'm perfectly fine landing a hand when I get the chance, but I prefer sticking to my life of bounty hunting."
"That's perfectly respectable," Roman said with a nod. He looked in Logan's direction and smiled a bit. "Honestly, after seeing everything those guys are capable of, I'm getting more and more tempted to join them. Imagine how much I could learn from these guys..." Following this statement, his gaze wandered toward Sunny, who was currently discussing with Rachel and Poe.
RDJ didn't fail to notice it. "Still looking at our wolfie lady, are ya?" he asked with a chuckle. "The night's just started; why don't you go chat with her? And the music's pretty good; invite her to dance with you!"
The usually stoic hunter wolf widened his eyes and blushed a bit. "N-No way! It's not what you think; I simply admire her for her fierce personality and will to keep moving forward in the face of difficulty, that's all!"
"'Course, that's all," the Gun Magician mused and took one big sip of his wine.
Moving over to Rachel, Poe and Sunny, the trio was talking about their performance in the Hero's Rumble. "I still can't believe Sephiroth managed to get the jump on me. And Logan who warned me just before it happened!" Rachel said, still shocked by her elimination.
"Do not be so hard on yourself, my dear," Poe softly said and put a hand on his girlfriend's shoulder. "You have been fighting without rest for a very long time; it's normal that you were tired at that point and failed to see him coming. Plus, from the stories I heard, he was the kind of enemy you want to face only when at your best."
"... True. Even Cloud got mishandled quite a lot during his fight against Sephiroth, in Advent Children," Rachel agreed. "Guess I'll just have to ask him for a rematch after taking some rest."
"In the mean time, do you mind if I train with you in the next days?" Sunny asked. "After seeing you and Logan in action today, I realized that I still have a lot to learn before getting into the big leagues."
Rachel chuckled a bit. "I was about to offer you just that, Sunny. You have a lot of potential and I'd be more than happy to share my experience with you." She then gave a somewhat malicious expression. "However, know that I never pull my punches when it comes to serious training."
"That's fine by me; I was not expecting anything less," the Sun Knight assured with a beautiful smile.
"Say, have any of you seen young Jameson around?" Poe asked. "I've been wanting to thank him for saving me back in the match."
"Nope. That's strange; Logan told me that he really likes taking part in celebrations," Rachel pointed out.
The little owl in question was currently curled up in Almyra's arms, enjoying a nice, little nap. Such an intense competition was tiresome already for an adult, so imagine how it was for a little kid like him. The Mystical Dancer watched him softly breathing in his sleep, a wide smile plastered on her beak as she gently stroked his ears and tummy for comfort. Everybody close enough to see them assumed that she was his mother or at least a member of the same family.
Jameson pushed a yawn and blinked his golden eyes as he returned to the world of the living and looked up at Almyra. "Hello, sweetheart. You slept well?" the Indian peafowl asked as she stroked his big ears.
"Yes," the owlet replied a she stretched himself. "Thanks for serving as my little nest, Almyra."
"You're very welcome. Hey, the musicians have started playing some catchy songs; wanna go have some fun on the dance floor?"
"Oh, yes!" Jameson beamed and instantly kicked up to his feet, his little tailfeathers shaking happily behind him. He jumped down and made his way toward the dance floor, Almyra giggling at the cute reaction as she followed him.
On her way to the dance floor, Almyra met none other than Victoria "Vicky" Alexandrina Violet, the sophisticated lady whom she met during the Hero's Rumble. And she was accompanied by two familiar faces. "Silver? Staghart? What are you guys doing here?" the peahen asked in surprise.
"Why, we came to watch the Hero's Rumble, of course," Staghart replied.
"And we do not regret our decision; this was a splendid show," Silver said. "I am so proud of Logan; he had been wanting this moment for a very long time. You ladies did very good as well."
"Why, thank you, darling," Vicky softly giggled before looking back at Almyra. "I wanted to thank you again for saving my dress during the match. You don't find dresses like these anymore." She gave a little kiss of recognition to the lady bird's cheek, causing her to blush adorably.
"Oh, no, problem. When someone's got trouble with their appearance, I make it personal," Almyra assured.
"Vicky's gonna have a luncheon at her manor tomorrow and she invited all of us Dream Defenders to join her!" Silver excitedly exclaimed. "Wanna come, too?"
"Oh? With pleasure; it sounds like it'll be fun," the Mystical Dancer replied. "If you want, I can provide some entertainment by showing you my latest routine I developed in hopes of impressing Gazelle!" she added, giving a few swings with her hips for emphasis.
"That would be wonderful. Speaking of which, Silver told me that you own a fashion boutique in Epcot. Is it true, darling?" Vicky questioned.
"You bet it is! The only thing as strong as my love for dancing is my love for fashion; you'll see it in the Mystique Boutique!" the peahen beamed and gave a wink.
"Impressive! Would you accept to make one or two dresses for me in the future?" Vicky asked with a sudden row in interest.
"How about we find ourselves a place to sit down so that we can properly talk about said dresses and what materials I will generously provide to help?" Silver suggested. The ladies agreed and followed the gentleman to a spot of the large table whilst Staghart rolled his eyes, but smiled and followed them all nonetheless.
The feast went on for a while longer until Zeus called a lightning to get everyone's attention. "Your attention, everyone! We will now begin the coronation ceremony! Logan, if you can come here." Logan stood up from his seat and made his way to the King of Olympus, respectfully bowing down before him. "Logan Jindrak, today, you have shown to all of us what being a hero is all about. Through courage, discipline and sheer determination, you not only succeeded in winning the Hero's Rumble, but you even managed to do so by entering first and outlasting thirty-nine of the best the Magical World has to offer! As such, it is with honor and pride that I bestow upon you the title of Champion of the Magical World and give you the promised reward to prove it!"
Zeus turned around to take the price from Hephaestus and hand it over to Logan. The young man stared at the championship belt with his eyes wide open, admiring the strap made of the highest quality leather alongside the five plates. The biggest one located in the very middle was made of gold and has Disney Castle marked onto it with the Disney logo just below the castle, the others including one made of sapphire that had the Pixar Lamp marked into it, a ruby one with the Marvel logo, a topaz one with the 20th Century Fox logo into it, and an emerald one with the Lucasfilm logo.
"... The proof that I finally accomplished something...," Logan thought, admiring his price. His heart filled with joy and pride, he turned around and lifted the belt for all to see. Everybody cheered and clapped for the young man. Their new champion.
As he stepped down to go join his friends, Logan came across an old man he had no expected to see at the after party. "That was quite the performance you did here, today, my young pupil..."
"M-Master Yen Sid?!" Logan exclaimed. "W-What are you doing here?!"
"Why, I came to assist the event and see how you and my other students would do," the wizard chuckled. "I must say that you made me quite proud, Logan. You came a long way since the day you came to study under me and struggled to understand your own magic. You have certainly earned this belt - I am sure that Gabriel will be proud of you, too."
Logan wrapped his arms around his teachers, tears forming in his eyes. "... Thank you so much, Master... For taking me in and never giving up on me..."
Yen Sid chuckled and returned the hug before breaking it. "I told you many time's Logan; failures are just as important as achievements on the path to success. It's very good to see you understood it... Oh, I almost forgot! There is someone with me who also wanted to see you." From behind the old wizard walked a familiar figure. A anthropomorphic barn owl with bright brown eyes and head feathers that were long and combed. His dress consisted of a red hoodie with the Spider-Man emblem on it, black jeans and a black laptop bag on his back.
Logan instantly recognized this bird. "G-Gray?!" he exclaimed, surprised to see Gabriel's brother.
"What's up, Logan? Congrats on your victory," Gray said, exchanging a bump-fist with his friend. "I actually came to ask you a favor; could you train me?"
"T-Train you?" Logan asked with a tilt of his head.
"Yeah; I've been looking for someone who could help me develop my magic potential since our Christmas party at the House of Mouse. I would've asked my bro, but he's too busy with his Dream Keeper duties, y'know. Since you're this world's champion now, and also have the time, it sure seems like you're the best choice for me. So? What do ya say?"
Seeing Logan hesitating and staring at the ground, Yen Sid put a hand on his shoulder. "While it is true that you still have a lot to learn, you also have a lot to teach now, my pupil. Sharing your experience with the others is just as important as gaining it for yourself... And, apparently, you're gonna have more than one person to teach to," the wizard mused.
Getting his cue, Jameson stepped out from his hiding spot, where he had been listening to the whole conversation. "Eh, eh, sorry," he awkwardly rubbed the back of his head before going to perch on Logan's shoulder. "Can I become your student, too? While I like my job, it's starting to get a bit lonely in the Dream Realm."
"This is a good idea," Yen Sid told the young owl. "From what I've seen today as well as from Logan and Gabriel's reports, you hold a great potential in spite of your young age. Learning from Logan would surely help you becoming a great magician."
"WAIT!" Everybody turned around to see Ben making a dash straight to them and then take an exaggerated pose in which he dramatically pointed at Logan. "Champion of the Magical World, I decided to make you my new teacher!"
Nobody said anything, just blankly staring at the wolf. "... Huh, who are you? You were one of the guys who helped us to fight Sephiroth, right?"
The wolf sighed in disappointment before giving a serious look. "My name is Benjamin Burton, and yes, I was in the last entrants of the match."
"And why do you want Logan to train you?" Gray asked.
"Even though I managed to eliminate the Dream Keeper of Animal Kingdom, the angel guy took me out pretty fast. This made me realize that I've been relying on my Shepard's Wool power too much; I need to expend my arsenal of skills and powers if I want to truly make an impact in this world. And who better to train me than the very best? If you plan on training those owl guys, then I'm in as well."
Once again, Logan curiously tilted his head to the side. "It was you who eliminated Toren from the match?" Ben comically dropped on his head at this. "You must be pretty good, then!"
"Logan!" The group was approached by their hunter friend, Roman Volk. He had a serious look on his face and approached at a stern, decided pace. He stopped before the young man, locking eyes with him.
"Huh, yes?" Logan nervously asked.
Roman stayed still for many seconds...before suddenly getting down on his knees and bowing his head. "Please, accept to train me as well!"
Everybody was shocked by the hunter's action. "R-Roman...?" Logan mumbled, his eyes wide open.
"After protecting Hollywood Studios for so long and after defeating Xaldin in the Virtual World, I managed to get in my head the idea that I was amongst the strongest guys in the Magical World... But participating in the Hero's Rumble today made me understand that it's so far from the truth!" Roman explained, still on his knees. "I know now that I still have a long way to go before I can claim to be in the same league as you, the Sword Mage and Sephiroth! I wanna get stronger, too! So, please, as the Champion of the Magical World, I ask you to accept me as a pupil, too!"
For a long moment, Logan did not say anything. It felt weird to see the usually stoic and proud wolf act in such an humble way. He turned his head to look at Master Yen Sid, the old wizard simply giving him a smile. Eventually, the Champion smiled back and placed his hand on Roman's shoulder to make him look back up.
"Of course, Roman! You've helped me in the past and I know first hand that your determination is practically as strong as mine! And who knows? Maybe all four of you will become Dream Defenders once I'm done training you!" Logan chuckled, helping the wolf back to his feet.
"So you accept to train us?" Jameson beamed in excitation, his little tail feathers shaking behind him.
"C-Can I join, too?" asked a timid voice. The group turned around to see a young adult male anthropomorphic snake with a humanoid upper body and a long snake tail as a lower body. "If you don't mind, of course..."
"Ferroth!" Jameson beamed, running to go hug his snake friend. "It's been so long! We haven't seen you since saving Sora and having our party at the beach! what are you doing here?"
Ferroth smiled and patted the owlet on the head. "Good to see you, too, Jameson. I only came because I've been told there would be a huge party here and I wanted to say hi to all of you. But then, I saw you guys with Master Yen Sid and heard Logan talking about taking you all as students. So, I was wondering if..."
"You want me to train you as well?" Logan guessed. "Why's that?"
Instead of giving a verbal answer, the anthropomorphic snake took out his sketchbook that Logan saw him use to draw animals and other stuff. He grabbed the drawing of a sword and placed his hand over it, making it take form before them. "This is why: I've recently discovered that I also possess Drawing Magic, just like you. You said you've mastered that form of magic a long time ago, right? Do you think you could show me how to properly use it?"
Logan smiled. "It would be my pleasure, Ferroth! I'll show you everything I know about drawings and magic!" The young man then stared at the five people gathered before him. "Alright, Gray, Jameson, Ben, Roman, Ferroth, from this day on, I will be your teacher. I will teach you everything I know and help you to reach your respective goals. Training will take place at the wrestling center in Animal Kingdom, where I work, so come there every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 16:00. This will begin only next week; I need a full week of rest after a match like this...
The group laughed in amusement. Tomada suddenly landed next to them, looking at Logan with an excited smile. "Hey! Hey! Logan! The musicians just asked if anybody wanted to sing a little something for fun! What do you say we go up there and sing that little tune we always blasted during summer, back at your home?"
"Oh, yes! Great idea!" Logan beamed. "Let's go! Let's go!" The two best friends flew over to the performance stage, Logan grabbing a microphone. "Hello, everybody! I sure hope you guys are having as great a time as I do! Even though I won the Rumble, what matter is to have as much fun as possible, like I always say!"
The audience cheered for their champion before he handed the mic to Tomada. "Now, it's time to party until dawn, and to help you with that, you will assist the performance of a lifetime, courtesy of the FalcOwl Connection - that's Logan and I, just to be clear. Hit it, DJ!"
('Cruise' (Remix) by Florida Georgia Line ft. Nelly)
Logan and Tomada:
Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise (Let's go!)
I got my windows down and the radio up (Yeah)
Get your radio up
The two friends performed some stylish dance moves while singing, Logan turning into his anthropomorphic snowy owl form for the occasion. He gave a look in Destiny's direction and chuckled when seeing her red, flustered face.
Logan:
What up, Tom? (Alright)
Logan and Tomada:
I got my windows down and the radio up
Get your radio up
Tomada:
Yeah, when I first saw that bikini top on her
She's poppin' right out of the South Georgia water
Poe offered his hand to Rachel like a gentleman. She giggled and accepted it, following the sorcerer to the dance floor so they could share a sweet, energetic dance together. After so much fighting, it felt nice to the Sword Mage to relax and actually have some fun with her boyfriend.
Tomada:
Thought, "Oh, good lord, she had them long tanned legs"
Couldn't help myself, so I walked up and said (I said)
Logan and Tomada:
Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Della gave a good scolding to Dewey for participating without her permission, letting him know that he would get a punishment after that night. Once it was done, she allowed him to go dance and have fun with his two brothers, and friends, including Webby, Lena, Violet, B.O.Y.D., and Gosalyn.
Logan and Tomada:
Down a back road blowin' stop signs through the middle
Every little farm town with you
In this brand new Chevy with a lift kit (Hey)
Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it (Come on)
Aline and Almyra were dancing together, the Dream Keeper of Magic Kingdom in her cat form so that she could showcase her feline graces. At one point, she noticed Thackery Binx, also in his cat form, coming her way. He asked if he could have this dance, the Cat Girl more than happy to oblige. The Mystical Dancer showcased her belly dancing skills by swinging her hips and rolling her tummy, her tail feathers elegantly following behind her. Every man close enough to see her performance was practically entranced by her beauty.
Logan and Tomada:
So baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Logan:
I got my windows down and the radio up
Get your radio up
RDJ and other guests who didn't feel like dancing were singing along the FalcOwl Connection at the top of their lungs, rising their drunks as they did so. The bounty hunter eventually noticed Roman staring at Sunny, who was on the dance floor, performing a classic dance with graceful moves. Rolling his eyes, he summoned a pulsation gun to knock Roman forward, sending him to crash into the Sun Knight. Far from looking annoyed, she continued her dance, inviting the hunter to join her. Roman hesitated for a few seconds, but then started dancing and sharing moves with the wolfess of his dream. RDJ nodded with a smile, happy for his drinking buddy.
Tomada:
Yeah, she was sippin' on Southern and singin' Marshall Tucker
We were fallin' in love in the sweet heart of summer
Jameson was dancing on his own, having some pretty good moves for such a young owl. He noticed Ben simply sitting on a chair and drinking; he invited him to join the dance. The wolf stubbornly refused multiple times until Jameson jumped on his back and forced him on the dance floor. Conceding, Ben began showcasing some good moves of his own, impressing a few nearby ladies. When Rachel and Poe danced close to their position, Jameson quickly went to hide in a corner, sighing sadly. He could not meet his uncle yet by fear of being questioned about his actions during the rumble...
Tomada:
She hopped right up into the cab of my truck and said
"Fire it up, let's go get this thing stuck" (I said)
Logan and Tomada:
Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise (Hey)
Adam and Melanie were spinning at an elevated speed, smiling to each other as they performed moves in perfect synchronization. It was fun for the both of them to share such a romantic dance together. In the same vein, Blu and Jewel were shaking their samba away, just like they did in their first movie, their children having fun nearby.
Logan and Tomada:
Down a back road blowin' stop signs through the middle
Every little farm town with you
In this brand new Chevy with a lift kit (Hey)
Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it (Come on)
So baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Toren darted across the air, performing aerial dance moves in tandem with the song. A huge grin formed on his face as many animals own below cheered him on, both for his amazing performance in the match and for his fantastic dance moves.
Logan:
My windows down, my seats back, my music up and we ride
Her legs up on my dashboard, and it's just the way I like
Hey country girl, this country boy, like e'rything about you
Don't change a thing, no way, you stay the same and I got you
Logan took the front stage, performing acrobatic breakdance moves while still singing. Many watchers were amazed... Except for the Madrigal Family. Louisa and Isabela were giving him sharp looks, making it clear they had not forgotten about his promise to work in heir village for a whole month in exchange of a potential pardon.
Logan:
I likes all that, all that, head to toe, you all that
Tell 'ole boy he call back, send her a text, say "fall back"
'Cause I can see you got a thing for the fast life (For the fast life)
So come on, shawty, let me show you what the fast like (Uh-huh)
Whipping 'cross the border, Florida into Georgia
Spider-Man was grooving it, performing the infamous 'Bully Maguire' dance for the ladies. He even invited Drax to join in, but The Destroyer did not tap his foot even a little.
Tomada:
'Cause baby, you a song
And you make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Down a back road blowin' stop signs through the middle
Every hood, ev'ry town with you
Liquorice kept strolling on her cellphone when both Maui and Hercules invited her to dance with them. She declined the invitations and kept her attention on her cellphone. However, when Sora came to ask the same thing, she actually smiled and accepted, taking the Keyblade Hero's hand as they walked to the dance floor, leaving the two deities with their jaws on the floor.
Tomada:
And this drop-top Chevy painted real slick
Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it (You up in it)
'Cause baby, you a song
And you make me wanna roll my, roll my, roll my, r-r-r-roll...
Tomada stepped forward, showing everybody his krumping hip hop style. He allowed each of his moves to be driven by pure emotion (in this case, happiness and excitation) while bumping his chest and expressing everything he felt with each lyric. Before the song kicked up again, both Tomada and Logan jumped up and exchanged a high-five, singing together once more.
Logan and Tomada:
Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Down a back road blowin' stop signs through the middle
Every little farm town with you
Sprig and Ivy shared a traditional frog dance for young couples, just like they did, back in Amphibia. Due to their lack of experience, they stepped on each other's feet multiple times, but they didn't mind. Nearby, Amity danced with Luz, the two witches sharing a kiss even before the end of the song.
Logan and Tomada:
In this brand new Chevy with a lift kit (Hey)
Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it (Come on)
So baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Vicky span on herself, making her dress float up a bit. While performing elegant ballet dance moves, she noticed Silver and Staghart having a Beauty & The Beast-like duo, ending with Staghart holding Silver in his arms and kissing him. The young lady giggled a bit; these two loved each other, and it was very clear.
Tomada:
I got my windows down and the radio up (Come on)
Get your radio up (Yeah, get those windows down and cruise)
Logan opened his wings to fly off and join Destiny, the two of them sharing a little dance for the final notes.
Tomada:
I got my windows down and the radio up
Get your radio up (Got my windows down and cruise)
I got my windows down and the radio up
Get your radio up, up, up, up
With the song reaching its end, Logan plunged his golden eyes into Destiny's aquatic-blue ones. They smiled at each other while holding their wings and hands, meeting lips/beak for a passionate kiss.
"I loooove yoooou, my little champ," Destiny talked whale.
Logan chuckled and replied: "I looove yooou, tooooo, my wonderful whale."
Author's note: What a fun after party that was! Alongside being a pro wrestling coach and Keyblade Wielder, Logan now has five students to take care of. I chose Grayson and Jameson because they are some of the least experienced guests at the moment - not only that, but I wanted to keep the 'Owl Bros' together. Also, I was feeling sad for Jameson always being alone in the Dream Realm, thus decided it'd be good for him to be more implied in our group's activities. b-wolf95 actually requested in the review section that Logan take Ben as his student; I liked the idea as, despite having appeared for a short amount of time, his OC got interesting powers and a solid motivation. Roman was a no brainer because his creator, Dominic, is one of my closest RL friends, and we once spent an entire afternoon discussing potential character growth and future powers for his OC. I really wanted to keep my old buddy close to me. Finally, we got Ferroth, who we haven't seen since the end of the Rescue Sora Arc. True to be told, despite the character being interesting, I had no idea what to do with him after. And his creator, Ferroth, is one of my closest DA friends, so it felt like a huge waste. That's what motivated me to add him to the batch when I decided to give Logan his own students. Now, he can teach him Drawing Magic, the same way Gabriel taught Fantasia to Aline.
The song in this chapter, 'Cruise (Remix) by Florida Georgia Line and Nelly, is one that I'm particularly fond of. When I was younger and went on road trips with one of my RL friends (not Dominic), we would always blast this song full power and sing it at the top of our lungs, no shame. Aww, nostalgia... I decided it would be fun to have Logan sing it with his best falcon buddy.
Toren telling Ben that he won't be a Dream Keepr anymore and will have to learn to be a prince instead is a reference to something that happened in TheDragonSaver's "Dream Keeper Chronicles" chapter 14 and that will tie into Avalorian Jaquin's story "Magical World: Jaquin Style", which is on AO3 (Archive of our own). While we're on the subject, there's a question I wanted to ask you, AvalorianJaquin; is your story canon to the Magical World Saga? Because I wanna know if I must read it or not - I don't wanna miss important plot points.
I have an important announcement to make, guys. Before you start getting worried, calm down; I'm not leaving this site and I don't have any health problem either. It's just that... I need a little break. You see, I've been writing and publishing chapters for this story on a daily basis for, what, seven months now? That's quite a lot. Don't get me wrong; I didn't fall out of love with this story. Rather, it's more like how you feel when you play the same video game for a long time: inevitably, you end up getting tired and wanna try other stuff. Plus, as most of you guys know, I'm about to finish school and move on to the next, harder level. Before getting there, I'd like to watch some shows and movies, play video games, learn how to draw, how to do animation, and also to build up some muscles to be sure no one will want to try and mess with me. To be honest with you guys, my fatigue goes all the way back to November, when I was half-way through the Hero's Rumble. I actually considered going on hiatus there...but ultimately decided it wouldn't be fair to leave such an important part of my story unfinished. That's why I made an effort and finished the Hero's Rumble anyway.
Those last seven months on this site have been amazing - it was like sitting around a bonfire with my friends, telling stories, eating good food and just having fun. If it was up to me, I'd wait another year before moving on and keep writing here as I have plenty of ideas for this story... The problem is that I'm not a teen anymore; I'm an adult and I need to get moving if I want a chance to reach my lifegoals. It's time for this little owl to step away from the bonfire and go venture out into the cold world to find his dream. But like I said, I'm not leaving this site; I'll still be reading the new chapters of the Magical World Saga and be there if you guys wanna talk to me. It's just that, from now on, "The Adventures of Logan" will no longer be my main priority. I may publish a new chapter here and there, if I get the time and energy to do so.
Oh, before we leave, I'm gonna be cruel and end things on a cliffhanger...
Inside Walt Disney Studios, Drake pushed a long yawn. The only thing he wanted to do after such a long day of work was to get home, take a good shower, and head over to bed. He just needed to finish a few concept arts for an upcoming movie.
"Drake! Drake!" Orange exclaimed, rushing into his room. "That's unbelievable; you gotta see this!"
Giving his friend a curious look, Drake stood up from his chair and followed him to the living room. Orange pointed at the TV, which rebroadcasted the Hero's Rumble match's final moments. Upon seeing the result, Drake's eyes widened to their limit.
"... Logan?!"
