Chapter 7: HEAD UNDER WATER
Hinata sat in a coffee shop across the Sharingan building while watching the people that comes in and out from it, she was pondering whether she should accept the proposal Fugaku had offered her, or that she should just borrow some money from him...but she doesn't even know where she would get the money to pay him back. She couldn't let her father's surgery wait any longer, it's either she lose her father or lose her dignity.
As she blankly stared outside of the coffee shop, rain suddenly started to fall down. It was like the sky was the one showing how Hinata felt on the inside. She's been crying for days after what happened to her father. If only she had been honest from the very start, none of this would've happened, her father could be at home, resting and recovering. It hasn't even been 2 weeks since his father was discharged, and now he is back again in the hospital, in a more critical situation. She couldn't even dare go home since Hanabi had given her the silent treatment, she lied to them after all.
"Mom, tell me what I should do." She whispered to herself, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.
A vibration from her phone caught her attention. As she read the message she received, she suddenly felt like the world has stopped moving, she was no longer able to feel the people around her and the voices had become muffled except for the sound of the rain that had started to become stronger.
-Your father had another heart attack, he is also still unconscious. The surgery needs to be done as soon as possible.-
Without thinking about anything, Hinata abruptly stood up from her chair and ran out from the coffee shop and across the street not even bothering to look for cars that were coming. She got inside the building, and sprinted to the information desk, soaking wet, as people stared at her confusingly, but she couldn't give a damn.
"Uchiha Fugaku… I need to see Uchiha Fugaku." She shivered.
"Do you have a schedule with him?" The receptionist asked.
"I need to talk to him, it's urgent!" Hinata pleaded.
"What's your name?"
"Hinata. Hyuga Hinata!" She rattled as she quivered from the cold.
"I'm sorry, Maam, but your name is not-"
"Please! Please, I really need to talk to him. Can you just ask him to see me here? Please" Hinata begged, tears were now rolling down her face. The receptionist looked at Hinata worryingly but she knew she would lose her job if she let the girl in front of her into Uchiha-sama's office, especially with her disheveled look.
While there was a commotion at the information area, a certain pony tailed-man saw and heard everything. She remembers the girl, but why was she so eager to see Uchiha Fugaku? If Sasuke was right that she could possibly be Fugaku's mistress, why would she show herself here knowing that Fugaku is married and a well known businessman? Was he not giving her enough money? Wait… is she pregnant? The thought disgusted the young man. 'If Sasuke finds out about this, he would probably embarrass his father.' he thought.
"I'm gonna have to call security, if you don't leave , Maam!" The receptionist threatened the drenched woman in front of her.
"Ah, Hyuga! What brought you here?" A voice suddenly startled Hinata, the receptionist and even the young man who was observing them from afar. The lady in the reception area quickly bowed her head, uttering a low 'Uchiha-sama' while the 'Hyuga' darted towards him.
"Fugaku-sama. I accept the proposal, but there is something I need to ask from you." She stammered.
The young man who was eavesdropping suddenly felt sick to his stomach. Proposal? Has Fugaku proposed to this girl while still being married to Mikoto? He looked at the interaction between them and felt even more nauseous when Fugaku smirked down at her and simply…no, casually said "Let's talk about this in my office." Should he tell Sasuke about this?

"What was it that you needed, for you to suddenly change your mind?" Fugaku walked around his table as she watched the young woman shiver.
"My father…" she mumbled. Hinata looked down at her shoes, her favorite shoes now ruined, as she tried to avoid Fugaku's gaze. "I promise to pay you back."
"Hn?"
"My father needs to undergo a surgery… and we don't have the amount of money to pay for it… for now." She weakly continued.
Without thinking twice, Fugaku took out a check and asked her how much money she needed, Hinata could only look at him befuddled. How could he agree that instantly? Why would he trust her when they barely know each other?
"W-w-why?" She stuttered.
"You need to save your father, and I need to save my son's image." He shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal.
"How about I'll have my assistant call the hospital and have the bill placed under my name?" Fugaku suggested as he clasped his hands together looking intently at Hinata. "But here's the deal young lady, my son can't know that I am helping you in return for the arranged marriage, or else…" Hinata nodded rapidly not really wanting to hear what he was about to say. She'll have to agree to whatever decision or rules Fugaku would set. She is doing all of these for his father, even if she will be humiliated in front of everyone, even if she loses herself, she would take that risk.
