It had been a year since Riolu hatched from its egg, and Ash was now 11 years old. The passing months had brought about significant changes in both Ash and his loyal Pokémon companion. Under the guidance of Professor Oak, they had honed their skills and expanded their knowledge of the Pokémon world. But perhaps the most remarkable transformation was the profound bond that had formed between Ash and Riolu.

As the sun's gentle rays spilled into Ash's room, he stirred awake, greeted by the soft padding of Riolu's paws on the wooden floor. The duo had become inseparable, their connection growing stronger with each passing day. Riolu's blue fur shimmered with a newfound vibrancy, mirroring the radiant bond they shared.

"Good morning, Riolu," Ash greeted with a smile, stretching his arms above his head. Riolu responded with a happy yip, its eyes filled with unwavering loyalty. Ash still remembered the day when both Lucario and Riou had been welcomed in to stay in the Ketchum residence by his mother.

Delia, recognizing the strong bond that had formed between Ash and Riolu, approached Lucario with a heartfelt request. She spoke to the Pokémon, expressing her desire for them to move in with her and Ash, ensuring that the inseparable duo would never be separated. Delia knew that having Lucario and Riolu under the same roof would provide a safe and loving home for both of them.

Shaking his head from the memories, together, they went about their morning routine, getting ready for the day that lay ahead. Ash dressed in his familiar attire, adorned with the symbols of his past victories. Riolu stood by his side, observing with unwavering attention. Their movements were synchronized, their bond evident in every shared action.

As they made their way downstairs, the delightful aroma of breakfast wafted through the air. Delia, Ash's mother, was already in the kitchen, preparing a delicious meal to fuel their day of adventure. Lucario, the wise and ever-watchful guardian, stood nearby, its presence lending an air of serenity to the room.

"Good morning, Mom," Ash greeted, a sparkle of excitement in his eyes. "Morning, Lucario."

Delia turned to them with a warm smile. "Good morning, Ash and Riolu. It's wonderful to see how close you've become over the past year."

Riolu wagged its tail enthusiastically, while Lucario nodded in acknowledgement. Their bond had become an integral part of their lives, a source of strength and companionship.

They gathered around the breakfast table, where pancakes, eggs, and fresh fruit awaited them. As they indulged in the delicious meal, the room was filled with lively conversation and laughter.

"Riolu, you've become such an important part of our family," Delia remarked, her eyes filled with affection. She reached out to stroke Riolu's fur, eliciting a contented sigh from the Pokémon.

Ash nodded in agreement, his gaze filled with pride. "Riolu has taught me so much about friendship and perseverance. We're truly a team, Mom."

The breakfast conversation flowed effortlessly, punctuated by shared stories and gentle laughter. Riolu chimed in with its own expressive sounds, as if actively participating in the conversation.

Once breakfast was finished, Ash and Riolu bid their farewells to Delia and Lucario, their minds set on their destination—the lab. As they stepped outside, the tranquility of Pallet Town embraced them.

The morning sun painted the town with a soft golden hue, casting long shadows over the familiar streets. The gentle breeze carried the sweet scent of blooming flowers, filling the air with a touch of nature's grace.

"Riolu, imagine all the Pokémon we'll encounter and the battles we'll face," Ash exclaimed, a fire of determination igniting in his eyes. "We'll become stronger together and conquer any challenge that comes our way!"

Riolu responded with an affirmative nod, its eyes shining with unwavering confidence. The bond between trainer and Pokémon had grown into a shared ambition, a relentless pursuit of growth and adventure.

As Ash and Riolu stepped into the familiar confines of the lab, they were greeted by the warm smile of Professor Oak. The professor's eyes twinkled with delight as he saw the inseparable duo, their bond evident in every step they took.

"Ah, Ash, my young trainer," Professor Oak exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine affection. "And Riolu, my, how you've grown! It's wonderful to see you both."

Riolu wagged its tail excitedly, unable to contain its joy at being acknowledged by the renowned professor. It bounded over to a nearby coral, eager to explore and play to its heart's content.

"Now, Riolu," Ash called out, a hint of concern in his voice, "make sure you play safely. We don't want any accidents."

Riolu turned back to face Ash, a mischievous glint in its eyes. With a playful grin, it mockingly replied, "Yes, mother."

Ash couldn't help but chuckle at Riolu's cheeky response. The bond between them was not only strong but also filled with lighthearted banter. It was a testament to the friendship they shared.

Meanwhile, Professor Oak led Ash into a separate room, where they found Gary already seated, a confident smile gracing his face. The professor closed the door behind them, creating an atmosphere of anticipation.

"Boys," Professor Oak began, his voice brimming with pride, "I must say, I am truly impressed by your progress. You've both shown exceptional dedication and skill in your training. I have no doubt that you'll pass the Trainer's License Examination with flying colors."

Ash's eyes widened with excitement, his heart filled with a renewed sense of determination. The prospect of becoming a licensed Pokémon trainer was within reach, and he couldn't wait to prove himself.

"But," Professor Oak continued, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, "I have a surprise for you both. Something that will enhance your training and take you to new heights."

Curiosity piqued, Ash and Gary exchanged glances, their anticipation building. They leaned forward, eager to hear what the professor had in store for them.

As Professor Oak was about to reveal the surprise, the door creaked open, drawing everyone's attention. In walked Daisy Oak, Gary's older sister, her presence causing an immediate shift in the atmosphere. Ash and Gary's faces lit up with delight as they saw her standing there.

"Daisy!" Ash exclaimed, a wide smile spreading across his face. "You're back! It's so good to see you!"

Gary couldn't help but grin too, happy to have his sister home. "Hey, sis! What brings you back to Pallet Town?"

Daisy, clad in a white t-shirt and a flowing pink skirt, paired with a pink beanie and knee-length black shoes, looked every bit the fashionable and adventurous trainer she had become. A white and pink backpack adorned her shoulders, a symbol of her travels.

Her eyes sparkled with joy as she embraced her younger brother and Ash. "I'm on a break from my Pokémon coordinating journey, and I'll be staying here for a while. I can't wait to catch up with both of you!"

As they settled into the cozy room, Daisy's excitement was contagious. She regaled them with tales of her journey in the Hoenn region, describing the breathtaking landscapes, the amazing Pokémon she encountered, and the thrill of competing in Pokémon contests.

Gary, however, couldn't resist sneering at the mention of coordinating. "Coordinating is for weaklings," he scoffed. "Real trainers focus on battles and becoming stronger."

Ash, ever the defender of diverse training styles, countered, "Coordinating has its own challenges! The battle rounds require strategy and skill. It's not just about strength."

Daisy, noticing the growing tension between her brother and Ash, interjected gently, "Now, now, boys, let's not argue. Both battling and coordinating have their merits. It's all about finding your own passion and excelling in it."

Gary scowled, his competitive nature still present, but Ash couldn't resist a smirk, teasingly poking at his rival. Daisy sighed and exclaimed, "Why can't the two of you just get along? We're all Pokémon trainers here."

But before any more bickering could ensue, Daisy changed the topic, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Enough of that for now. The real surprise is yet to come. Be ready at sharp 8 a.m. at the lab tomorrow morning."

Ash and Gary exchanged puzzled glances, their curiosity piqued. They nodded eagerly, their rivalry momentarily forgotten, as they agreed to be there.

"What's the surprise?" Ash asked, unable to contain his excitement.

Daisy winked playfully. "Oh, you'll find out soon enough. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait."

With that, the conversation veered toward lighter topics, and the trio spent the evening catching up, sharing stories, and relishing in each other's company. Daisy's return had brought a newfound warmth and harmony to their lives, reminding them of the importance of friendship and support.

As the night drew to a close, Delia's voice could be heard from downstairs, reminding Ash and Gary that it was time to rest. They bid Daisy goodnight, promising to meet her again in the morning at the lab.

Separate homes awaited Ash and Gary, nestled in the peaceful outskirts of Pallet Town. Each of them retired to their cozy bedrooms, their minds abuzz with anticipation. Ash carefully laid out his clothes for the next day, making sure his signature red and white cap was within reach. He glanced at the clock on his nightstand, imagining the adventures that lay ahead.

Gary, on the other hand, sorted through his collection of Poké Balls, inspecting them with a critical eye. He smirked confidently, ready to showcase his skills once again.

With their minds abuzz with anticipation, Ash and Gary drifted off to sleep, dreams of Pokémon battles and exciting surprises dancing in their heads.

The following morning, the sun rose over Pallet Town, casting a warm glow upon the quiet streets. Ash and Gary awoke, eager to uncover the surprise that awaited them. They exchanged excited messages, ensuring they were both ready at sharp 8 a.m.

As they made their way to the lab, the air filled with anticipation. Ash and Riolu strolled side by side, their bond evident in every step they took. They discussed their plans for the day, their voices filled with excitement and determination. Pallet Town, with its picturesque houses and vibrant flora, provided a stunning backdrop to their animated conversation.

"Riolu, can you believe it?" Ash exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with joy. "We're going to discover something amazing today!"

Riolu responded with a knowing smile, its aura pulsating with an infectious energy. The Pokémon and its trainer were inseparable, their bond stronger than ever after a year of shared experiences and adventures.

Finally, they reached the lab, the familiar building standing tall and inviting. Professor Oak greeted them warmly, his eyes twinkling with excitement. He directed Riolu to the coral, urging it to play safely, while Ash fussed over his partner's well-being, earning a playful eye-roll from the Pokémon.

As Ash and Gary followed the professor into their designated room, anticipation hung in the air. Professor Oak's voice was filled with pride as he addressed the young trainers.

"I'm incredibly proud of both of you," he said, his gaze shifting between Ash and Gary. "You've come a long way in your journey as Pokémon trainers. Today, we'll continue our lessons and further expand your knowledge and skills."

Ash and Gary exchanged eager glances, their determination shining through. The surprises of the day had only just begun, and they were ready to embrace every opportunity for growth and adventure that awaited them.

As the first rays of sunlight peeked through the window, Ash's eyes fluttered open. Instantly filled with excitement, he sprang out of bed, his energy infectious. Riolu, sensing Ash's eagerness, bounded up beside him, ready for the day's adventures.

With his backpack already prepared and securely fastened on his back, Ash dashed down the stairs, his nimble footsteps ensuring he didn't stumble. Delia, waiting at the bottom, couldn't help but chuckle at her son's morning enthusiasm.

"Good morning, Ash," Delia greeted, a smile playing on her lips as she watched her energetic son. Beside her, Lucario gave a gentle nod, acknowledging their presence.

"Good morning, Mom!" Ash replied, his voice filled with a mixture of excitement and anticipation. He wasted no time and quickly grabbed a plate of pancakes, his favorite breakfast. With Riolu by his side, he hungrily devoured his meal, barely pausing to breathe.

Delia couldn't help but shake her head in amusement as she observed Ash's breakfast frenzy. "Slow down, Ash," she said gently, her voice laced with affection. "Remember to chew your food properly."

Ash, his mouth still half-full, managed a muffled response, nodding as he struggled to swallow his last bite. He gulped down a glass of orange juice that Delia had prepared for him, refreshing his taste buds.

With breakfast finished, Ash and Riolu leaped up from the table, eager to embark on their day's journey. Delia and Lucario exchanged amused glances, their hearts warmed by the bond between Ash and his Pokémon partner.

"Goodbye, Mom! Goodbye, Lucario!" Ash called out, a sense of urgency in his voice. He hurriedly hugged his mother, the fleeting embrace filled with love and excitement. Lucario nodded in acknowledgement, its calm presence radiating assurance.

Delia smiled, her eyes brimming with maternal affection. "Take care, Ash. Have a wonderful day, you two!"

With a final wave, Ash and Riolu darted out the door, their departure accompanied by the sound of their energetic footsteps. As they rushed down the path, their voices filled the air, their conversation a lively exchange of plans and dreams.

The streets of Pallet Town came alive with the energy of the new day. Colorful houses lined the road, adorned with blooming flowers that added a touch of vibrancy to the surroundings. Ash couldn't help but pause for a moment, his eyes drinking in the beauty of his hometown.

"Riolu, look at how peaceful Pallet Town is," Ash remarked, a sense of awe in his voice. "Every time I step outside, it feels like the beginning of a new adventure."

Riolu nodded in agreement, its azure eyes reflecting a shared appreciation for the tranquility of their surroundings. The Pokémon and its trainer continued their journey, their steps filled with purpose and determination.

With each passing moment, Ash and Riolu grew closer, their bond strengthening with every shared experience. They understood each other on a level that transcended words, their unspoken connection guiding them through their trials and triumphs.

As they neared the lab, their excitement intensified, knowing that more knowledge and surprises awaited them inside. They exchanged eager glances, their eyes shining with anticipation.

"Riolu, are you ready?" Ash asked, a wide grin stretching across his face.

Riolu responded with a firm nod, its aura pulsating with readiness. The duo quickened their pace, their footsteps echoing through the serene streets of Pallet Town.

The lab doors loomed ahead, promising a world of discoveries and possibilities. Ash and Riolu exchanged a knowing glance, their hearts filled with determination and excitement. They took a deep breath, ready to step into a day that held the potential to shape their destinies.

As Ash and Riolu stepped into the lab, they found Professor Daisy and Gary engaged in a lively conversation. The air buzzed with excitement, and the familiar scent of books and scientific equipment filled the room. Professor Oak, noticing their arrival, greeted them warmly.

"Ah, Ash and Riolu, good to see you both!" Professor Oak exclaimed, his eyes twinkling with enthusiasm. "Come on in."

Before Ash could respond, Daisy, Gary's older sister, stepped forward with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. With a playful smile, she reached out and pinched Ash's cheek, causing him to blush in embarrassment.

"Well, well, look who's all grown up now," Daisy teased, her voice filled with affectionate mockery. "You're turning into quite the big boy, Ash!"

Ash couldn't help but squirm under the attention, his cheeks growing warmer by the second. He mustered a sheepish smile, finding it hard to articulate a response.

Gary, on the other hand, seized the opportunity to revel in Ash's momentary discomfort. He let out a snigger, clearly amused by his friend's blushing state.

Not one to let her younger brother have all the fun, Daisy swiftly retaliated. She grabbed Gary in a playful noogie, mussing up his hair while planting a loud, exaggerated kiss on his cheek. Gary's attempts to escape her affectionate grasp were met with laughter and teasing from Ash.

Amidst the cheerful chaos, Professor Oak observed the scene with a warm smile on his face. He had seen these young trainers grow and mature over the past year, witnessing their dedication, growth, and the bonds they formed with their Pokémon.

"My, my," Professor Oak chuckled, his voice tinged with pride. "You three certainly know how to bring the lab to life. It warms my heart to see the strong bond between you all."

As the laughter subsided, Professor Oak led them to a quiet corner of the lab, where they could engage in a more focused conversation. The room was filled with books, maps, and a few computer screens displaying various research findings.

"Now, let's get down to business," Professor Oak said, his tone shifting to one of professional determination. "Over the past year, I've seen tremendous growth in both of you as trainers. Your knowledge, skills, and passion for Pokémon have flourished."

Ash and Gary exchanged proud glances, their shared journey evident in the way their eyes sparkled with determination. They had come a long way since that day a year ago when Riolu hatched from its egg.

"There's something I want to share with you," Professor Oak continued, a hint of excitement in his voice. "As a reward for your hard work and dedication, I have a surprise for you."

The room filled with anticipation as Professor Oak revealed the surprise. A wide smile spread across his face as he announced, "Boys, your reward for all your hard work and dedication is a day and night camping trip to Viridian Forest!"

Ash and Gary stood there, their eyes widening in disbelief. The thought of venturing out into the wild, experiencing the thrill of a real Pokémon journey, filled their hearts with excitement and wonder.

"Are you serious?" Ash blurted out, unable to contain his enthusiasm. "A whole day and night of camping? This is amazing!"

Gary nodded in agreement, a sparkle of excitement dancing in his eyes. "Wow, Professor Oak, you really know how to make our dreams come true!"

With hearts brimming with gratitude, Ash and Gary launched themselves at the aged professor, engulfing him in a tight hug. Their gratitude poured out in words of thanks and excitement, grateful for the opportunity bestowed upon them.

Professor Oak chuckled, patting their backs affectionately. "You boys have worked hard, and I believe you're ready for this adventure. But remember, Ash, Gary, Daisy will be leading your camping trip. Listen to her guidance and never leave her side. And please, exercise caution and avoid provoking any wild Pokémon you encounter."

The professor's words sank in, reminding them of the importance of safety and respect for the wild Pokémon they would encounter. They nodded eagerly, assuring him that they would be responsible and follow Daisy's instructions.

Their minds raced with thoughts of the journey ahead, imagining the beautiful landscapes, the Pokémon they would meet, and the challenges they would face. This camping trip was the perfect opportunity to put their training skills to the test and deepen their bonds with their Pokémon partners.

As the excitement settled, Professor Oak offered them some practical advice and handed them a small backpack each, filled with essentials for their camping trip. He emphasized the significance of preparedness and being mindful of their surroundings.

"Now, remember," Professor Oak said, his voice gentle yet firm. "This camping trip is not just for fun. It's a chance for you to apply everything you've learned, to bond with your Pokémon even more, and to experience the true essence of being a Pokémon trainer. Make the most of it."

Ash and Gary nodded, absorbing his words with determination. They were eager to embark on this new adventure, to test their skills and deepen their understanding of the Pokémon world.

With heartfelt gratitude, they bid farewell to Professor Oak, their minds buzzing with anticipation for the camping trip. Daisy stood nearby, a confident smile on her face, ready to guide them through the wilderness of Route 1.

As they left the lab, excitement bubbled within them. They knew that this camping trip would be a turning point in their journey, a chance to prove themselves as true trainers. Hand in hand, they ventured out into the unknown, ready to embrace the challenges and joys that awaited them in the wild.

As Ash, Gary, Daisy, and Riolu continued their trek through Route 1, the vibrant landscape unfolded before them. Lush greenery stretched as far as the eye could see, punctuated by colorful wildflowers that swayed gently in the breeze. The route was teeming with life, with Pokémon scurrying through the tall grass and fluttering in the treetops.

Riolu bounded alongside Ash, his tail wagging with excitement. The bond between them had grown stronger over the past year, and they were now inseparable. Riolu's presence provided Ash with a sense of comfort and reassurance, and they shared an unspoken understanding.

Daisy, noticing the bond between Ash and Riolu, smiled warmly. "It's incredible to see the connection you two have developed. Riolu seems to be your most trusted partner, Ash."

Ash beamed proudly and patted Riolu's head. "Yeah, he's my best friend and partner. We've been through a lot together, and I know I can always count on him. With him by my side I'll be the best Steel specialist in the world!" Ash had spoken to Riolu about his dream and Riolu had readily shared his friend's excitement.

flashback

"Riolu," Ash began, his voice filled with anticipation and excitement, "I have something important to tell you. It's something I've been dreaming about for a long time."

Riolu's eyes sparkled with curiosity and it tilted its head, eagerly awaiting Ash's words.

"You see, even before I met you, I had this dream," Ash continued, a mixture of determination and passion evident in his voice. "I've always wanted to become a Steel-type master."

Riolu nodded understandingly, its aura pulsating with interest and support.

"I've been fascinated by the strength, resilience, and unyielding determination of Steel-type Pokémon," Ash explained, his voice filled with admiration. "They can endure any challenge and stand tall against adversity. I want to train and raise a team of powerful Steel-type Pokémon, and together, we'll conquer any opponent that stands in our way."

Riolu's eyes glowed with understanding and excitement. It clasped its paws together and nodded approvingly, as if saying, "I'm with you, Ash. Let's make this dream a reality."

"With you by my side, Riolu, I know we can achieve great things," Ash continued, his voice filled with conviction. "We'll train harder than ever before, explore new regions, and challenge the strongest trainers. Our journey will be filled with battles, victories, and lessons, but together, we'll become a legendary team."

Riolu jumped up and down, its tail wagging furiously, expressing its enthusiasm and support for Ash's dream. It then began to speak in a voice only Ash could hear.

"Ash, I've always believed in you. Your passion and determination inspire me," Riolu said, its voice filled with warmth and encouragement. "I'm excited to join you on this quest to become the greatest Steel-type master. Together, we'll forge a bond that nothing can break."

Ash's eyes widened in surprise and joy as he heard Riolu's words. He grinned from ear to ear, knowing that their connection went beyond words.

"Thank you, Riolu," Ash replied, his voice filled with gratitude. "Our journey is going to be amazing. I can't wait to see what lies ahead."

With their dreams aligned and their bond stronger than ever, Ash and Riolu shared a moment of pure joy and anticipation. They were ready to embark on their journey, united in their quest to become the ultimate Steel-type master and partner.

As they stood there, surrounded by the bustling lab, a sense of determination and adventure filled the air. The path of a Steel-type master beckoned, and with Ash and Riolu united, there was no limit to what they could achieve together.

Gary watched their interaction, his competitive nature momentarily subdued. "I guess having a Pokémon that understands you like that can be a real advantage in battles."

Riolu looked up at Gary and nodded in agreement, as if to say that the bond between a Trainer and their Pokémon was indeed a powerful force.

As they walked, Daisy shared her knowledge of surviving in the wilderness. She emphasized the importance of observation, caution, and respect for nature. She pointed out various berries growing on trees and explained their uses, teaching the boys how to identify edible ones.

Gary, always eager to showcase his knowledge, asked Daisy a barrage of questions about the different types of berries and their effects. Ash, on the other hand, was more focused on watching Riolu's reactions and learning from the Pokémon's instincts.

Riolu's ears perked up as he caught a scent on the breeze. He nudged Ash's leg, drawing his attention to a small patch of soil where a buried Oran Berry lay hidden. Ash knelt down and gently uncovered the berry, thanking Riolu for his keen senses.

Daisy smiled at the exchange. "See, Ash? Riolu's intuition is a valuable asset. Always pay attention to your Pokémon's instincts. They can guide you in ways you may not expect."

The group continued their journey, taking in the beauty of Route 1. The sun's rays filtered through the dense canopy above, casting a warm glow on the path. They marveled at the majestic scenery, the chirping of Pokémon, and the gentle rustling of leaves.

As they neared the outskirts of Viridian City, the familiar sights and sounds of urban life gradually replaced the serene wilderness. The bustling streets, the colorful storefronts, and the excited chatter of trainers created an atmosphere brimming with energy.

Gary pointed ahead, a triumphant smile on his face. "Look, Ash! We've arrived in Viridian City!"

Ash's eyes sparkled with delight. "Wow, we made it! Viridian City, here we come!"

Riolu leaped into Ash's arms, sharing in the excitement. The bond between them had flourished in the tranquility of Route 1, and they were eager to face new challenges and adventures in the city.

With a renewed sense of determination and a newfound appreciation for the beauty of nature, Ash, Gary, Daisy, and Riolu stepped into Viridian City, ready to embark on the next chapter of their Pokémon journey.

As Daisy, Ash, Gary, and Riolu stepped into the bustling Pokémon Center of Viridian City, they were greeted by the friendly atmosphere and the soothing hum of healing machines. Daisy, being the experienced trainer, took the lead and explained to the boys how the Pokémon Center worked.

"Alright, boys," Daisy began, her voice filled with a sense of authority. "This is a Pokémon Center. It's a place where trainers can bring their Pokémon to heal and rest after battles. It's run by Nurse Joy, who takes care of all the Pokémon here."

Ash and Gary nodded eagerly, their eyes scanning the busy center with curiosity. Riolu, ever observant, glanced around, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling facility.

Daisy guided them to a vacant seating area, where they settled down. She continued her explanation, pointing to the healing machines and the spacious resting areas for Pokémon. She emphasized the importance of proper care and rest for their partners.

"Now, remember, boys," Daisy said, her voice filled with wisdom. "Taking care of your Pokémon is crucial. Make sure to bring them to the Pokémon Center after battles, so they can heal and regain their strength. It's also a great opportunity to meet and interact with other trainers."

Excitement filled the air as the boys absorbed Daisy's words. They couldn't wait to explore the city, challenge gym leaders, and meet other trainers on their journey to becoming Pokémon masters.

After their exploration of Viridian City, they gathered for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. Ash and Gary eagerly recounted their adventures, their voices filled with animated enthusiasm. Riolu sat by Ash's side, occasionally chiming in with a cheerful bark, as if to add its own flavor to the storytelling.

As the evening wore on, Daisy suggested that they call Professor Oak and Delia to let them know they had arrived safely. The boys eagerly dialed the numbers, their faces beaming with excitement. They updated their loved ones on their progress, sharing stories of their encounters and the new friendships they had forged.

With their hearts and bellies full, the group retired to their rooms for the night. Ash and Riolu shared a room, their bond stronger than ever. They lay on their beds, their gazes locked in an unspoken conversation.

"Riolu," Ash whispered, his voice filled with gratitude and determination. "We've come so far, haven't we? And there's still so much ahead of us."

Riolu, sensing Ash's emotions, nuzzled against his side, emitting a soft and reassuring aura. It was a silent affirmation, a reminder that they were in this journey together.

"I promise, Riolu," Ash continued, his voice filled with determination. "We'll do whatever it takes to become the best Aura Guardians and Steel-type specialist. We'll face challenges head-on, learn from every battle, and grow stronger with each step."

Riolu's eyes sparkled with unwavering faith in Ash's words. It had witnessed his determination and resilience, and it believed wholeheartedly in their shared dreams.

With a final exchange of glances, Ash and Riolu drifted off to sleep, their dreams filled with the promise of new adventures and endless possibilities.

The morning sun cast a warm glow upon the group as they set foot into the lush expanse of Viridian Forest. Ash, Gary, Riolu, and Daisy wore expressions of excitement and anticipation, their eyes eager to explore the wonders of nature that awaited them.

"Wow, look at all the Bug-type Pokémon!" Ash exclaimed, pointing to a group of Caterpies dangling from a tree branch.

Gary smirked. "They're nothing compared to my future team of powerful Pokémon. But I guess I could catch a few for practice."

Daisy chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Remember, catching Pokémon is about strategy and understanding their behavior. Patience is key."

As the evening descended upon the campsite in Viridian Forest, Daisy took it upon herself to impart her knowledge of camping and survival skills to Ash, Gary, and Riolu. The crackling campfire provided a warm glow, casting flickering shadows around the group as they gathered around.

"Now, listen up, everyone," Daisy began, her voice filled with confidence and wisdom. "When you're out in the wilderness, it's important to know how to set up camp and take care of yourselves."

She guided them through the process of setting up their tents, demonstrating the proper technique and offering helpful tips along the way. Ash and Gary eagerly followed her instructions, their excitement mingled with a sense of responsibility.

"Remember to choose a suitable spot for your tent," Daisy advised, pointing out the importance of level ground and shelter from the elements. "And make sure it's securely anchored to the ground to withstand any weather conditions."

As the tents were raised, Daisy shifted her focus to the art of outdoor cooking. She showed them how to gather firewood, create a safe cooking area, and prepare a simple yet satisfying meal using ingredients they had brought along.

"Cooking in the wild requires resourcefulness and adaptability," Daisy explained, her hands skillfully maneuvering pots and pans over the campfire. "You can make delicious meals with just a few ingredients and the right techniques."

The aroma of sizzling food filled the air as Daisy cooked a hearty stew, sharing cooking tips and tricks along the way. The group eagerly watched, their stomachs rumbling with anticipation.

Once the meal was ready, they gathered around, savoring the flavors of their outdoor creation. The crackling of the fire provided a soothing soundtrack as they enjoyed the warmth and camaraderie of the moment.

With their bellies full, the conversation turned to survival skills. Daisy regaled them with stories of her own adventures, offering valuable insights into navigating the wilderness and staying safe.

"Always be aware of your surroundings," Daisy advised, her voice tinged with seriousness. "Learn to identify edible plants and sources of water. And if you ever get lost, don't panic. Take a deep breath, assess your situation, and try to retrace your steps."

Ash and Gary listened intently, their eagerness to learn shining in their eyes. Riolu, too, paid close attention, absorbing Daisy's wisdom as if it were a valuable treasure.

As the night grew darker, the group settled down around the dying embers of the fire. The crackling sounds gradually faded into silence, giving way to the symphony of nature's nocturnal inhabitants.

Under the vast expanse of the starlit sky, Ash and Riolu lay side by side. Riolu nudged Ash gently, saying, "We've come so far, and we'll conquer any challenge together."

Ash smiled, feeling a profound sense of gratitude for the experiences they had shared, the lessons they had learned, and the unbreakable bond they had formed.

Soon, the gentle lull of the night whispered them to sleep, their dreams intertwined with visions of future adventures and the unexplored wonders that awaited them.

As the first light of dawn painted the horizon, Ash, Gary, Daisy, and Riolu woke up, invigorated and ready to continue their journey. They packed up their belongings, leaving behind no trace of their presence, and set off toward Pallet Town once again.

The lessons learned, the memories made, and the bonds forged in the wilderness would forever be cherished, serving as a reminder of their shared love for adventure and the strength they found in each other. With their hearts filled with anticipation, they ventured forth, ready to embrace the challenges and joys that awaited them on their Pokémon journey.

END CHAPTER

AN: I really forgot all about daisy until I stumbled upon her name in a fic. So I guess why not use her character. Also I kind of ran out of ideas what to do in Ash's learning phase as I have already written some lectures Professor Oak gave them. So I'll probably do a time skip again and Ash will be giving his exams. Then in the chapter after that one , his journey will finally start.

A quick question. Do you guys want Professor Oak giving Ash an extra pokemon? Personally I don't feel like doing it as it won't make any sense as Ash has Riolu as his starter. Let me know what you think.
