Script For Episode 13 Trusting Tension

Recap Scene

Chris: Last time on Total Drama Mix It was time for this season's trip to Boney Island. Harold and Mike's relationship grew stronger along with the meals cooked by the teams, who knows maybe they'll be better that Chef soon!

Chef (throws chair at Chris from off screen): I heard that.

Chris (screams): I mean, and Noah was kicked off for his boringness. Who will be next to find themselves having been sabotaged? Find out here on Total Drama Mix.

-Theme Song—

-End Scene—

Woods

Leshawna is strolling through the woods and suddenly sees the top of the invincibility statue sticking out of a bush.

-Start Confessionals—

Leshawna: I saw season 4, I know how powerful that statue is. I mean, I was pretty good at this game already, but now with this statue, I am going to win this thing for sure.

-End Confessionals—

Leshawna picks the statue out of the bush and walks of screen. The camera zooms out a little to reveal Heather hiding behind another bush having just seen what happened and smiles.

-End Scene—

Outside The Cabins

All of the contestants are gathered outside of the cabins clearly waiting for Chris to arrive for the challenge. Alejandro walks up to Vito.

Alejandro: So, 5th episode on the opposite team, Mike, I gotta say I'm impressed you've lasted this long.

Vito: Hey yo, it's Vito. What is that supposed to mean?

Alejandro (teasing): Oh right, I see, I see. I thought you would've been gone ages ago, espically with your elimination last season.

From a distance we see Cameron see what's going on and wonders over.

Cameron (cautiously): Hey Vito, what's up?

Vito (to Alejandro): You know, I don't actually care at all about what you're saying so why don't you just save us all the bother and get out of here.

Cameron (to Alejandro): Yeah, Alejandro. Leave Vito alone.

Alejandro: Really Cam, you at least gotta admit all this one does is bring the team down.

Cameron (getting up in Alejandro's face): Don't you dare call me that! And what are you talking about they're plenty helpful!

Vito is also on-screen during Cameron's line and just above Vito's shoulder forms a faint but clear silhouette of Mal for half a second.

From a distance we see Scott see what's going on and walks over.

-Start Confessionals—

Scott: I knew it, I knew that with this impending waiting game for Chris some drama would start. It's Total Drama after all, and for good reason, drama is the 2nd best tool in this game. After the invincibility statue of course, which I still haven't been able to find, for some reason.

-End Confessionals—

Alejandro (seeing Scott): Scott agrees with me don't you Scott?

Scott: Eh I tend to be more of a loan wolf when it comes to opinions also I have no idea what you mean.

Alejandro: That Mike is a useless teammate.

Scott: Hang on, I thought Vito was currently fronting (in control of the body)? And besides they're useful, I mean they came 6th last season and for good reason.

Vito: Yeah, you two seem like you got this so I'm just gonna go.

-Start Confessionals—

Scott: By the way, that was not me standing up for Vito or anyone in that system (all of the people in the body). I don't care one bit about them…right? (Scott's eye starts to twitch).

-End Confessionals—

Chris and Dawn walk on screen.

Chris: Good morning campers, and for the first time in a while the same number of Wolves and Flamingos. Of course, one of the biggest elements in a successful team is trust, which we will be testing today, in 5 trust exercises.

Dawn: Finally, something safe.

Chris: On that's right I forgot to mention, deadly trust exercises.

Dawn: And I spoke too soon.

Chris: For the first trust exercise you must all stand in a circle in your teams and choose a starting person.

The view changes so that both teams are in their circles, and we zoom in on the Werewolves' circle.

Jo: Listen up, I'm starting!

Lightning: Why you?!

Jo: I'm in charge.

Leshawna: Err, no you're not.

Lindsay: We don't even know what the starting person does yet, maybe we should let her.

Harold: She makes a good point.

We zoom in on the Flamingos' circle.

Heather: Alright, who's gonna start?

Courtney: I'll do it.

Alejandro: Sounds good.

We zoom out so now we can now see both circles and Chris.

Chris: Right, can the 2 starting players please stick the hand in the air. (Jo and Courtney raise their hands and glare at each other). Good, from now on the only thing you guys can say is go. The starting player will make eye contact with another person in the circle with the intent of them saying go. Once the starting player receives this command walk slowly towards the person who said go. The person who gave the command then makes eye contact with another person and the process repeats itself. This will enable the second person to give up their spot to the starting person who takes their place, and the process continues. You will be doing this whilst passing these.

The camera zooms out so now Dawn is on screen holding two balls.

Chris: They will start with the player who's first name is closest to the start of the alphabet , so Duncan and Alejandro.

Dawn throws the balls at Duncan and Alejandro who attempt to catch them.

Duncan (immediately dropping the ball): Ouch!

Chris: Oh yeah, the balls are strangely hot for some weird reason.

Alejandro (to Dawn, attempting to repick up the ball): How in the world did you manage to hold these so easily?

Dawn (replying): They're not that hot, I don't feel any difference.

Duncan (sarcastically): Of course, because why not!

Chris: You must pass the ball alphabetically once you get to the end pass it back to the first person and repeat. The first team to fail at either of these tasks loses. 3…2…1, Go!

The teams commence the game as tense music plays in the background. The game continues for around a minute or so as we switch between a closer view of each team. After, a while we see the Flamingos' circle and Heather is making eye contact with Zoey, but she doesn't realise. As this happens, Gwen attempts to throw the ball towards Heather but it bounces off her and drops to the floor. Chris blows a whistle.

Chris: Flamingos you have lost. For the next game, one person form each of the teams will be blindfolded and the rest of the team will guide them through a dangerous maze. Zoey you will play for the Flamingos and Vito for the Wolves. Get into your positions.

The view changes so now Zoey and Mike are blindfolded at the start of separate but identical mazes with each of the teams on a platform above each of the mazes.

Chris: Alright, you may begin in 3…2…1 GO!

We zoom in on the Flamingos.

Cameron: All right straight ahead is some parkour, usually I wouldn't doubt Zoey's skills there but seen as she's blindfolded.

Courtney: Good point, best to go around. (to Zoey) Zoey, Start walking forward and feel along the size of the bush until you find the first right, turn down there.

Zoey follows Courtney's directions. We switch over to the Wolves.

Jo: This isn't a very good maze, it's just a straight corridor. (to Vito) Vito, just keep walking forward.

Vito follows Jo's direction.

Leshawna: Girl, do you not see the parkour?

Lightning: He can get through that it's not that hard.

Harold: He's blindfolded!

Suddenly Vito stops walking.

Duncan: Excuse me, why have we stopped.

Vito: I may be blindfolded, but I can still hear you guys. Leshawna or Harold, help me find a different route.

Jo (butting in): Sorry, Vito but Leshawna and Harold cannot make to the phone right now simply jump forward, diagonally to the right.

Vito sighs and gives in, following Jo's directions. We switch back to the Flamingos.

Alejandro: Are you kidding me this is gonna take, 10 times as long!

Cameron: At least we'll make it through the maze we have no hope of winning if Zoey tries that parkour as she will undoubtedly fail, no offence Zoey.

Zoey (laughing a little): None taken.

Chris: Flamingos you have lost yet another round.

The Flamingos groan.

Courtney: How did they win?

Heather: They actually have faith in their teammates and are willing to let teammate go, in order to win.

We switch to the Wolves cheering.

Lindsay: Woohoo, yeah that's what I'm talking about.

Chris: Flamingos, you lose one more round and you lose today's challenge, I suggest you recognise the point of this and start to trust each other. Right, for the next game, all stand in a circle as a team.

The view changes with the two teams standing in circles again on platforms over water with Chris and Dawn in front. In the middle of each circle is a button

Chris: Right, now reach across the circle and grab 2 other of your teammates forearms.

The view changes so now the contestants have done this forming a complicated mess of arms across the circle.

Chris: Now, through talking and teamwork you must untangle yourselves without letting go. If you look down you can see sharks biting away at your platforms. First team to untangle yourselves and press the button wins.

Alejandro: How does this link to trust?

Chris: Trust in your teammates that the plan will work. 3…2…1… GO!

We switch views to the Werewolves.

Duncan: Right, Harold you go through Lightning and Jo.

Harold: What no, I should be going under.

Jo: How does Harold relate to me and Lightning, surely he should make his way closer to Leshawna.

All of the werewolves start talking over each other. We switch views to the Flamingos

Courtney: I've done this before, once we solve one bit it becomes a lot easier.

Cameron: In that case, Courtney, let's try you changing completely which side of the circle you are on.

Zoey: Worth a shot to get us started.

Courtney does this.

Alejandro: I struggle to see how that helped the situation.

Scott: Wait no I got it. Zoey, now you change sides of the circle.

All of the rest of the flamingos look between each other. Zoey then gives in and does so.

Cameron: I see it now, Gwen, go through Heather and Alejandro.

The Flamingos continue on and become completely untangled.

-Start Confessionals—

Scott (Proudly): Back on the farm, there is a lot to do with tying and untying knots. Who knew that would become useful here?

-End Confessionals—

Courtney presses the button in the centre of the Flamingo's circle.

Chris: Flamingos you have won.

Heather: Yes! Finally.

The view changes so now each team is standing in 2 lines with Chris and Dawn in front.

Chris: So, the score is 2-1, the Flamingos now have a chance. The next game is more of a classic trust test. I will be splitting the team into pairs. One person will stand on a log and fall off it backwards and hope that the other person in their pair catches them. Team to have the most successes wins. Of course, as this is a trust exercise I have chosen the pairs (all of the contestants groan). Firstly, for the Flamingos, Courtney will fall onto Zoey, Cameron onto Alejandro, and Gwen onto Heather onto Scott.

Scott: Hang on, why am I in the 3, how do you expect me to catch 2 people?

Chris: There's an odd number of you, figure it out! And for the werewolves, Lightning onto Jo, Harold onto Vito, and Lindsay onto Duncan onto Leshawna. Places people.

We switch views to Gwen, Heather, and Scott. Scott is on the ground with Heather in front standing on a log and Gwen in front of her standing on a higher log.

Gwen: So…I just… fall?

Scott: I guess so and hope me, and Heather catch you.

Heather turns around and Scott winks at her, Gwen doesn't see this.

-Start Confessionals—

Scott: This should be enjoyable. Sure, I should probably be trying to win but it's worth it to see Gwen get hurt and Heather's down for it so…the others have got this, I'm sure…right?

Heather: Succeeding at catching Gwen should give her a false sense of security. The shortest sense of security ever!

-End Confessionals—

Gwen: Alright, here I go. 3…2

Heather: Wait on 1 or after?

Gwen: On Go, obviously!

Scott: Wait, did that count?

Gwen: What do you think?!... Ok let's just try again. 3…2…1 Go!

Gwen pretends to fall off the log and onto Heather. Heather catches Gwen and Then falls herself. Scott catches them both.

Heather(acting): Woohoo… Yeah!

Gwen: Let's go!

-Start Confessionals—

Scott: But realistically I can't risk an elimination ceremony. Gwen, Zoey, and Cameron hate me, and Alejandro and Heather could turn on me at any moment.

Heather (angrily): Scott, your hours on this show are numbered!

-End Confessionals—

We switch views to Courtney and Zoey. Zoey is on the ground with Courtney in front standing on a log.

Zoey: This will be piece of cake!

Courtney (Jokingly): You mean a piece of pie. 3…2…1!

Courtney falls off the log, onto Zoey and Zoey catches her. They both cheer. We switch views to Cameron and Alejandro. Alejandro is on the ground with Cameron in front standing on a log.

Cameron: This is stupid!

Alejandro: That, we can agree on.

Cameron: Is there even any point? You're not gonna catch me!

Alejandro: Please, you're a twig.

Chris (through the loudspeaker): Reminder, all pairs must try at least once. Doing it more than once or not at all and you will find yourselves in the toilet tonight.

Cameron: Eughf…fine!

Cameron falls off the log onto Alejandro, Alejandro simply steps backwards and lets Cameron fall onto the ground.

Cameron: Ouch!

We switch views to Jo and Lightning. Jo is on the ground with Lightning in front standing on a log

Lightning: You're not gonna catch me!

Jo: What you trying to say!

Lightning: Dude, have you seen you?

Jo: Eughf, just fall already!

Lightning falls off the log onto Jo. Jo attempts to catch Lightning but fails because he's too heavy. We switch views to Vito and Harold. Vito is on the ground with Harold in front standing on a log.

Harold: I'm supposed to trust you…

Vito: To catch you. (acting) Maybe, we Just shouldn't, I don't trust you as far as I could throw you.

Harold (playing along): Which isn't far at all! Alright, 3…2…1!

Harold falls off on the log onto Vito and Vito catches him. They both cheer. We switch views to Leshawna, Lindsay, and Duncan. Leshawna is on the ground with Duncan in front standing on a log and Lindsay in front of him standing on a higher log.

Lindsay: Alright, 3…2…1 Go!

Lindsay falls off the log onto Duncan, but Duncan fails on purpose and steps to the side so that Leshawna has to catch Lindsay.

Leshawna and Lindsay (simultaneously): Duncan!

Chris: Wow, it's 2-2, the Flamingos have made a comeback! Alright, for the last game. There is a bunch of lasers over there. (Pointing to a field with a mess of lasers covering it) All contestants in their team must link arms and attempt to get through the lasers without letting go. Be careful to not touch the lasers, but not too careful as that would spoil the fun. First team across or who survives the longest wins.

We switch views to the Werewolves who are linked together at the start of the lasers.

Jo: Alright, the key to this is speed, let's go!

Jo attempts to start moving through the lasers. The rest of the team struggle to keep up and after a few seconds many accidentally touch the lasers at the same time electrocuting the whole team.

Chris: Werewolves, that's you out. Ferocious Flamingos you have won today's challenge.

Flamingos cheer but don't move as they are also moving through the lasers.

-End Scene—

Woods Scene

Vito is now Mike.

-Start Confessionals—

Mike: When me and Zoey switched teams. We decided that at the halfway mark of the season we'd try and spend some time together, so we planned a picnic. I'd kinda hoped back then that things would be going better between me and Zoey but lately it's like we've stopped clicking.

-End Confessionals—

Zoey and Mike are in the woods sitting on a blanket with a basket of food in between them. There is an awkward silence between them.

Zoey: Sooo… How is it on the other team?

Mike: It's alright. Things have mostly settled down now I don't feel like there's a target on my back anymore…so… how's Cam?

Zoey: He's good. He's cool…I'm just gonna go to the toilet real quick.

Zoey walks off screen.

-Start Confessionals—

Zoey: I just need a minute to think of a good topic.

-End Confessionals—

Zoey is now positioned behind a bush watching Mike.

-Start Confessionals—

Zoey: For some reason, I can't find it in me to walk back over there. I know I should try and work through whatever 'this' is with Mike. But when I think about everything that's been happening: I was the one that got too involved, I didn't let Mike try himself, I started a fight over something small. (Zoey starts to cry) What if the problem is me?!

-End Confessionals—

Zoey walks off screen and walks out on Mike. After a couple seconds.

-Start Confessionals—

Mike: She's not coming back is she?

-End Confessionals—

-End Scene—

Wild Wolves Boys' Cabin

Only Harold is in there. Mike walks in.

Harold: Hey, weren't you supposed to be with Zoey?

Mike: She walked out on me!

Harold: Oh damn.

Mike: Harold, be honest with me, am I too much for people? I mean with all my alters and stuff.

Harold: Mike, are you serious? No, of course not!

Harold puts a hand on Mike's shoulder, but Mike pulls away.

Mike: Then why have me and Zoey grounded to a halt?!

Duncan walks in the cabin, Mike is clearly distressed.

Duncan (seeing Mike): Oh, so the big boy's gonna cry is he?

Hearing this Mike switches to Manitoba.

Harold: You're, a fine one to speak Mr. Can't Keep A Girl.

Duncan: Please, at least I actually have one.

Manitoba: Might not be so great if she goes today, hey!

-End Scene—

Elimination Ceremony

Just before the elimination ceremony. Heather sees Harold, Leshawna, and Gwen on the Ferris Wheel. The scene cuts to the ceremony where the Werewolves are sitting on the logs, Flamingos in the peanut gallery and Chris in his usual spot with a plate of Marshmallows.

Chris: Todays, Challenge was good but let's see who on the team is blamed for your collective loss. The following people are safe Lindsay, Harold, Manitoba, Duncan Lightning, Leshawna. Marshmallows for all of you.

Jo is revealed to be the only one without a marshmallow.

Chris: Jo, you're out.

Courtney: Yes, finally!

Jo: Oh, I don't think so.

Jo pulls out the invincibility statue.

Leshawna: What, that was mine!

Jo: Really, I see no nametag.

Leshawna: You stole it from me.

Jo: You should know not to keep such precocious things in your pockets.

Duncan: I didn't know you were a criminal.

Jo: It wasn't me it was Heather!

Everyone gasps.

Leshawna: Why would she help you?

Jo: In exchange for this! Chris please continue.

Chris: Seen as Jo is safe, the person with the next highest vote goes, and the only vote for Jo was for…

Leshawna!

Harold: Wait let me make sure I understand this. Leshawna found the statue and Heather somehow knew so she stole it off Leshawna and gave it to Jo to get Leshawna voted off and save Jo.

Heather: That's right Doris! I told you you'd pay.

-End Scene—

Elimination Scene

Leshawna is in the toilet with the werewolves and Chris on the dock.

Leshawna: You gotta be kidding, I do not deserve to lose…

Leshawna is flushed.

Chris: Boy, do I love this show! Who will be next to find the invincibility statue? Who will actually use it? And how will things pan out between Mike and Zoey? Find out next time on Total Drama Mix!
