Ms. Kelsey walked into Deanna's office, full of mixed emotions. After both she and her therapist were settled, Deanna started the conversation. She informed Ms. Kelsey she'd finally found time to read Ms. Kelsey's original story.
Like so many others, she was blown away by Ms. Kelsey's sheer talent in writing. She said she could feel the uncle's pain in the story and how it showcased the grieving process. She said you could also understand the personal struggle of the main character. She did need a quick reminder of Candy's description. But said she could envision her Uncle Ryan perfectly.
They chatted for a for more minutes which made Ms. Kelsey happy. Then they switched to Ms. Kelsey's emotional state. She explained she woke up that morning feeling her emotions all over the place and wanting to cry. She also was annoyed with her cat Akiko. Her cat hadn't been doing anything outside the norm, but Ms. Kelsey hadn't been emotionally well for several weeks. So she was getting quite short-tempered with her pet.
She also explained more about her past. Growing up and into adulthood, she was always ostracized, bullied, disrespected, and abused, how no one kept their promises, and she felt every day that she could disappear and no one would notice or care. She also felt her family only had a warped perception of her identity. So therefore, they'd provided nothing useful if she went missing. It is a very depressing feeling that after years of not being shown respect or courtesy and being flat-out ignored, no one would notice if you vanished.
She explained she still didn't want to be around her toxic sister and how it was still frustrating that her family couldn't accept that she didn't want a relationship with her. It was equally disappointing and degrading how her family commented on her weight and made her feel worse about herself. So they didn't lift her up, only put her down. Again, she was doing her best to exercise, but they wanted more then she could do now.
They then glanced over her latest sketches, to which again she was praised for their fashion sense and the number of details that went in. Afterward, they planned their subsequent few appointments before Ms. Kelsey left for lunch.
