Chapter 15:

A few months have passed, Beth is living with Hope and Liam at Hope's home in Malibu. Despite Brooke's protest to come back to the cabin, Hope felt as though there was more room at the Malibu home and finally got Brooke off her back, for now. Liam was all for moving back to the cabin too, he liked the fact that when it comes to Hope and Beth, Brooke usually sided with Liam. She really drilled it in that Hope and Liam were "destiny". But Hope was adamant about staying in Malibu, so he decided to go along with it and hopefully slowly wear her down into going back to the cabin.

In the time that Liam, Hope, and Beth made the transition to their own home, Liam has not been seeing Kelly that often. Steffy tried to be supportive, since Liam was trying to reconnect with his other daughter. But it was irritating her, Kelly needed support too. She was noticing Beth not being there that often. She was confused, Steffy was grateful to Hope, she kept in contact with Steffy and brought Beth over for play dates with Kelly. Steffy just wished Kelly's father was as attentive.

Another person Steffy has been grateful to is Finn. He has stepped up and stepped into a supporting role for Kelly. Steffy never even asked him to, he has just been there for her and Kelly.

Finn's parents have come to town, Jack and Li have been very supportive too. Even though they haven't meet in person, only a few video chats. But after Finn explained everything to them, they rallied around her. Steffy has even had long conversations with Li about adoption. Li encouraged her not to give up on her dream for a big family.

Taylor has come back from Africa to help Steffy get through this tough time. She reopened her practice in LA and got a condo close to her office. Thomas and Ridge have been a great deal of support too for Steffy.

Wyatt has been throwing himself into work to try to forget about Sally and Flo. His father has been pushing him to go out with friends more often, or even join a dating website. He reminds him he does not need to get serious with anyone, he just wishes his son enjoy his life.

Finn is sitting in an office at the hospital. He is working the ER that day. He is looking through files when a nurse comes in with a police officer. "Dr. Finnigan, you have a patient ready for you." The nurse says getting Finn's attention.

Finn looks up from the files he was studying, shocked to see a police officer with her, "Hello officer, can I help you with something?"

"This is officer Smith, he came in with the patient." The nurse explains. She hands Dr. Finnigan the file and excuses herself.

"I know this is a little unprecedented doctor." Officer Smith explains, "The young lady I escorted here was found off a highway in the desert. She was dehydrated and a bit delirious."

Finn raises his eyebrows in surprise, "The desert? What brings her here?"

"When we picked her up, she was just mumbling that she needed to get away from him. She didn't make a lot of sense, but she kept insisting we bring her to LA. When we kept trying to get information out of her, she was terrified and could only keep repeating she needed to get to LA. We figured if we brought her here she could tell us what happened to her."

Finn looks through the file at her vitals and what kind of condition she is in, "Wow, it sounds like she has been through quite a bit."

They begin walking towards the room, "I would like to sit in on your examination, we need to know if she was the victim of a crime."

"Of course," Finn obliges. After everything he has witnessed Steffy go through in the past few months he was more than happy to bring any criminal to justice.

Finn enters the room, when he lays eyes on the young woman who looks terrified and exhausted, he can't help but notice what a striking resemblance she has to Steffy. They don't look exactly alike, but they have a lot of similarities.

"Hello miss, I'm Dr. Finnigan. I'm here to help you." Finn says gently. He can tell she isn't sure if she is out of danger, she is on edge and her eyes keep darting around the room like she is waiting for someone to jump out at her, "Can you tell me your name?" Her eyes shift back to him then at Officer Smith standing behind Finn, "That is Officer Smith, he is here to help you, as am I. You're safe here."

"He kept me locked up for years." She finally gives them some information. Officer Smith takes out his notepad and begins writing. "For the longest time I had no idea who I was," Finn offers the terrified young woman a bottle of water. She takes a sip then continues, "He insisted I was his wife, he said my name was Alice. Something always felt off, but I had no memory of anything before him, so I didn't know what to do so I stayed. I was scared." She closed her eyes as tears streamed down her dirty face, "One day I was on a step latter in the kitchen trying to reach something on the top shelf, I was home alone at the time. I slipped off and fell to the floor, I was knocked out cold for a few minutes. When I came to, all the memories of my life before him came rushing back to me." She takes a deep breath, "My name is not Alice, it's Phoebe Forrester."
