Chapter 17:
It's been a few weeks of Phoebe being back. She is living with Steffy, but pretty much splits her time between all of her family's houses. She has gotten to know the kids, she is loving life as an aunt. She has met Hope, Liam, and little Beth, the girl who once shared her name. She has been visiting Forrester getting the vibe back of what it was like to be back in the work force. She hadn't been to work in so long, it felt good to be back around a familiar territory and people who love her. She decided when Steffy goes back from maturnity leave she would try coming back as well.
Hope and Liam have been bonding with Beth. Liam has been thinking everything is perfect, his life is exactly how he wanted it to be. Hope on the other hand, she was happy obviously. Her connection with Beth was unbelievable, she was on cloud nine being a mother. But she felt her connection with Liam never picked back up. She played along that everything was perfect, but somehow her thoughts always seemed to drift back to Thomas. She had enjoyed their time together. He got to know the real her, she could be herself around him instead of this perfect mold of what she was supposed to be. But she was going to be the mold of what she was supposed to be, she couldn't just give up her family with Liam, not after everything they had been through.
While tagging along with Steffy, Thomas, and the kids when visiting Hope, Liam, and Beth Phoebe was introduced to Liam's brother Wyatt. They started a quick friendship. Phoebe was instantly attracked to him. She heard about his recent heartbreak, not only from Sally leaving, but from his childhood sweetheart, who was still on the run, doing such a horrible thing. Wyatt was equally attracted to Phoebe. She wouldn't talk much about what had happened to her, he figured she was getting it out in therapy and would just be a reliable friend to her. He couldn't help but wonder if she was as attracted to him as he was to her, but he figured it would be too soon after her whole ordeal to try and ask her out. He decided he would be there for her as a friend, and if that's all he'd ever be then he was ok with that.
Ridge has left Brooke and has been staying at Eric's house. He wished Shauna was still there to flirt with, but she was trying to track down her daughter to get her help. Shauna knew her daughter screwed up and wanted to get her the help she needed. She knew she would serve jail time, but she wanted her to take responsibility for the pain she caused. At Eric's house he was again pressuring Ridge to get back together with Brooke.
"Ridge she is your destiny."
"Well Dad sometimes destinies change." Ridge tries to reason with Eric.
"You and Brooke were meant to be together." Eric badgers.
"I just can't take the constant tearing down of my kids, she is constantly complaining that they are a bad influence on Hope when they are doing nothing but being friends to her. Even Hope has credited them with helping her when she thought Beth was dead and helping her and Liam transition into their lives with Beth. But all Brooke can do is bad mouth them."
"Well Brooke has her reasons." Eric again blindly defends, without giving any reasons.
"I can't believe your defending her over your own grandchildren." Ridge is in utter disbelief, "You know what, I'm going to see if I can stay at Thomas' until I find my own place."
Ridge ubruptly leaves. Eric stands there in silence with Quinn quietly standing behind him absorbing everything that has been going on.
"Eric we need to talk," She finally speaks up, "I have sit here and listened to you constantly defending Brooke Logan. It doesn't matter what the situation is."
Eric getting visibly angry, "I will not sit here and listen to you bad mouth her either." He snaps at his wife.
Quinn's demeanor shifts to a clearly angry one, "Yes you are going to listen to me! Because I am your wife! You defend her over your kids, your grandkids, and me! Well no more!" Quinn is clearly furious, "I am sick of being treated like a scolded child in my own home. I am sick of being uncomfortable in my own home when she is around. I'm exausted having this discussion and I am sick of being disrespected. Eric, I'm done." Eric's eyes widen in fear, she can't be saying what he thinks she is saying, "I want a divorce."
"Quinn no!" Eric pleads.
"I'm sick of being second best to Brooke in your life. You will hear from my lawyer." Quinn leaves the room and heads upstairs to pack as Eric stands there dumbfounded as to what just happened.
