Chapter 2: School Daze, Part 2
*Main theme*
After receiving reports of School of Friendship's poor results, Chancellor Neighsay has decided to close down the school with magical chains and lockpad. This shocked everyone to witness it. Twilight was sad, hurt and heartbroken to watch her very dream crushed before her. The school inspector Darkshine glared at Chancellor Neighsay furiously.
Twilight dropped her hooves to the ground. She sniffled tearfully in despair as tears poured and dropped on the ground.
"This can't be… This can't be happening…" Twilight said as she lightly sobbed.
Her friends and family approached Twilight. They gave her a warm and gentle hug. The leaders of various nations remained silent yet sympathy and concern for her.
"That takes care of the mistake," Chancellor Neighsay remarked dryly.
"You can't do this! After everything my mother and father have worked hard to do!" Nyx said angrily.
"My decision is final!" Chancellor Neighsay scoffed.
"Man, this guy's worse than Zhao." Sunray whispered to his family, who nodded in agreement with him.
"Except he isn't violent like him." Sokka replied back quietly as Chancellor Neighsay glared at Twilight and Chase.
"If not for you and your friends' incompetence and failing to follow the EEA guidebook, then the school wouldn't be closed down. The students are now missing because of you!" Chancellor Neighsay said angrily.
Annoyed and angered by the chancellor's attitude, Chase stood up and gave a hardened glare at him.
"You're wrong! It's your EEA Guidebook that caused this mess in the first place!" Chase said angrily.
Offended by his insults, Chancellor Neighsay glared at Chase angrily.
"How dare you?!" Chancellor Neighsay exclaimed furiously.
"I dare!" Chase shouted angrily at Chancellor Neighsay, "Maybe if you 'pay attention' carefully to everything especially our own teaching styles, then you would understand that ours is better than your stupid EEA policy! The students liked it better!"
"Nothing is better than EEA policy! And do you honestly believe that these creatures are willing to learn 'friendship' under your tutelage freestyles?!" Chancellor Neighsay asked furiously.
"Yes! I've proven the fact that showing them is better than telling and writing on board! They're all interested in my teaching style!" Chase said angrily.
"Nonsense! This is truly nonsense!" Chancellor Neighsay snapped angrily. He groaned, "If I've known of your rebellious and arrogant attitude, then I would have been against it! The teaching of Friendship should be for ponies, not for these creatures!"
The leaders, however, glared at him angrily.
"We know who you are, Chancellor Neighsay!" Ember said angrily as the leaders glared at him. "Chase, Twilight, and Pakku informed us everything about your dislike towards us! That's no way to respect any of our kind like that!"
"If you think that we can't be trusted, then you're wrong!" Queen Novo said furiously of what Chancellor Neighsay has done to their allies.
"Yak no like unicorn's attitude!" Prince Rutherford shouted angrily at Chancellor Neighsay.
"Everyone, please! Calm down!" Thorax spoke calmly and firmly, gaining their attention. "There is no reason to blame ponies because of him! Twilight, Chase, and their friends have proven that friendship can reach out to all of us. They trusted and helped all of us a lot! Friendship is for all of us to learn and share!"
"Wrong! She should not have done that!" Chancellor Neighsay disagreed angrily. He turned and glared at Thorax, "What they should have done is finish your kind because you are the threat that almost destroyed our home twice! You don't deserve pony's friendship! So, the rest of your hive!"
Thorax was hurt by his insults.
"Take that back! No one insults my friend and gets away with it!" Dragon Lord Ember said angrily.
"No one insults YAKS!" Prince Rutherford exclaimed angrily.
"Or us!" Queen Novo and Princess Skystar agreed.
Chancellor Neighsay groaned in annoyance.
"I insult you all because I have proven right on how dangerous and uncivilized you beasts are!" Chancellor Neighsay retorted dryly.
Grandpa Gruff screeched out angrily.
"Bring it on, you old goat!" Grandpa Gruff challenged angrily.
His insult to them was the last straw. The leaders of various kingdoms angrily and violently shouted and started the argument with not just him but also at each other. Suddenly a magic beam zipped past them and Chancellor Neighsay, startling them in the process.
Landing on the ground was Pakku, Bumi, and Iroh with stern looks on their faces.
"What is going on here?!" Pakku demanded.
"Pakku, explain yourself for why it was a good idea to teach friendship to these creatures!" Chancellor Neighsay said, pointing at the leaders angrily.
But Pakku, Bumi, and Iroh glared at him.
"I believe it has to do with your foolish way of the EEA book, Chancellor Neighsay." Pakku said sternly, infuriating Chancellor Neighsay. "We will deal with you as soon as we bring the students back."
"Yeah, Master." Applejack replied back to Pakku. She turned to her depressed friend, "Twilight, I hope you've got the plan. Coz we really need it now."
Still looking at the ground, Twilight sighed in defeat.
"I don't know. I really don't know." Twilight said sadly, shocking her family and friends in the process of what they heard.
"Honey. You can't be serious!" Chase exclaimed in disbelief.
Twilight still looked down in shame.
"Sorry, honey." Twilight said with a tear dropping from her eye. "I don't have one."
"Well, I have one," Chase said firmly and calmly, "We've got the students to find now."
"What about the school? And also Chancellor Neighsay? What should we do about them?" Fluttershy asked in concern.
"Indeed, he's going to cause more problematic to the leaders and us. No doubt, he's going to start the civil war." Rarity nodded in concern.
"We can't think of that now." Sokka said firmly and seriously.
"Sokka's right, Twilight." Jade said in agreement and firmly, "For now, we have to leave the political situation to our friends to handle. Saving the students is our priority."
"Plus, we could take a big break from this school mess," Rainbow remarked amusingly, earning everyone's glare at her. She cleared her throat, "Sorry. Just wanna lighten the mood."
"Dash. Leave it to the real professional," Pinkie said firmly and calmly.
"Yeah, you're not helping." Antonio said with a glare.
The Mane Sixteen chattered in agreement about finding and saving the students. Chase approached Twilight as he shook his wife a bit.
"Twilight, come on. Get up. We need to find the students now," Chase said calmly. His wife remained silent yet heartbroken. He sighed, "Honey, I know you want to make your dream come true. And I really want to help you out. But right now, the students need us. We're the only ones, who can find and save them."
Hearing what her husband had said to her, Twilight took a deep breath.
"You're right, Chase. Nothing is more important than finding and saving the students." Twilight spoke calmly. She stood up firmly, "But first, we need to stop Tai Lung and the Quinkan."
"If Kai is back, there's no telling if he's in charge of filling in Zhao's dirty work." Chase said suspiciously.
"That's what worries me the most, Chase." Trini said with a worried look.
Both Chancellor Neighsay and the leaders from various kingdoms continued arguing and shouting at each other. Twilight, Chase, their family, and their friends approached them. Twilight then cleared her throat, attracting their attention.
"I'm sorry for the interruption, but this is not the time for the argument when our students are still missing." Twilight said firmly.
Though still annoyed and angry with each other and even the chancellor, the leaders of various kingdoms knew that their own kindred are still missing. They chattered and muttered in concern about it.
"You've made a valid and concerning point, Princess Twilight," Chancellor Neighsay said firmly, "We must find the students now. I'll alert the Princesses now. They'll send the Royal Guards to find them."
"There's not much time, Chancellor. It might be too late for us to get them in time. But my teams and I will get them." Chase said firmly.
"What makes you think I'm willing to trust you after you have failed to run the school, Chase Young?" Chancellor Neighsay asked sternly.
"We know that the students are out there. Somewhere. And we've gotta find and save them before something bad happens to them," Twilight said firmly and determinedly. Chancellor Neighsay was skeptical about it. She continued, "We may not be qualified for teaching the students, but we're good at finding and protecting them from harm. Just as we did with saving Equestria many times. And we know who took them."
Chancellor Neighsay was still skeptical and doubtful of the alicorn couple. However, most of the leaders chattered and nodded in agreement, having confidence and belief in the Mane Sixteen for saving them a lot.
"Let them do it. They can handle it," Pakku said firmly. "They will find and bring the students back home. I have confidence in them."
Though skeptical and doubtful, Chancellor Neighsay sighed reluctantly.
"Fine. Until Princess Celestia and her Royal Guards arrived, I will let you all go to perform your mission. But that doesn't change anything about your school. Understand?"
"Understood." Twilight said as she nodded in understanding while Chase glared at Chancellor Neighsay.
"I'll have former school inspector Darkshine to assist you," Chancellor Neighsay said firmly, shocking everyone. He turned and glared at Darkshine, "I'm giving you the chance to redeem your mistakes and regain your position. Do not fail me again."
Darkshine sighed as he saluted Chancellor Neighsay.
"Understood, sir."
"Neighsay's very hard on him now. I really feel sorry for Darkshine," Sokka commented in concern.
"Yeah. I think he needs a better job than this." Trini nodded in agreement.
"No kidding," Sunray agreed, "Chancellor Neighsay needs a timeout for blowing out about not following his EEA policy. Kinda pathetic."
Bumi gave a whack on Chancellor Neighsay's forehead, making him yelp in pain. He then scolded.
"And you, sir, we are going to have a talk about your attitude towards the creatures! Did your mother teach you some manners and respect?!" Bumi said angrily.
Chancellor Neighsay groaned in pain.
"Master Bumi! You can't expect me to-!"
Bumi slapped Chancellor Neighsay's head again.
"Do not interrupt when I'm talking!" Bumi ordered sternly.
"But-!" Chancellor Neighsay yelped in pain, feeling another slap on his head, "Will you stop that?!"
Bumi gave another whack on the chancellor's head.
"Respect the elders!" Bumi demanded.
Chancellor Neighsay tried to protest but got interrupted and whacked by Bumi, who grumbled and complained about his attitude. The leaders of various kingdoms snickered and laughed amusingly to watch it. Twilight, Chase, their family, and their friends couldn't help but snicker at it.
"Go now, Chase and Twilight. Bumi, Iroh, and I will take care of this political mess," Azure Phoenix said firmly. "Find the students quickly or who knows what Kai will do to them."
"We will, Pakku." Chase said before he turns to the others. "Come on, guys! We gotta find the students before Kai torments them."
The rest of the Mane Sixteen nod in agreement as Chase leads the way to the Everfree Forest with his family and friends following him.
"If what Tai Lung said about going back to where our friendship started back at the Everfree Forest when we freed Princess Luna from Nightmare Moon, then he must've been talking about…" Chase began to think of what Tai Lung said.
"The Castle of The Two Sisters! It has to be!" Jade said in realization, following her brother's thoughts.
"We gotta hurry and get the students back!" Sunray said as the group ran to the Everfree Forest.
(Scene changes)
In the Castle of The Two Sisters, the Young Eight were groaning in pain before they struggled to open their eyes.
"W-what happened?" Sandbar asked while getting onto his hooves before he felt a metal part. He looked around to see that he and the others were trapped in a giant bird cage. "Guys? Guys, wake up!"
Groaning in pain, Gallus, Silverstream, Yona, Ocellus, Smolder, Korra, Bolin, and Mako opened their eyes and saw that they were all trapped in the big bird cage with Sandbar.
"Where are we?" Smolder asked.
Ocellus gasped in realization.
"Guys! This must be the Castle of The Two Sisters!" Ocellus said in shock, gaining her new friends' attention. "I remembered it from class. Princess Twilight's "History of Pre-Equestrian Friendships"."
"But who kidnapped us?" Yona asked in concern. "Yona only remember strange monsters attack us and knocked us down."
A devious chuckle filled the room as growling and snarling was heard. Emerging from the darkness of the castle were the Quinkan army as they snarled at the Young Eight, who gasped in shock of the spirit monsters.
"What are those things?" Smolder asked with a bit of fear.
"It's the Quinkan, you guys." Silverstream said in fear as her friends turned to her. "The same monsters that attacked my home!"
Footsteps could be heard approaching them as Kai stepped into the light.
"How right you are, Silverstream." Kai said sinisterly as the Young Eight gazed at the anthropomorphic yak in surprise.
"Who are you?" Ocellus asked fearfully.
"He's a big yak, Ocellus!" Gallus said obviously while showing no fear.
"Yeah! He doesn't look so tough!" Smolder said in agreement with a cocky smirk.
Silverstream gasped in horror as she instantly recognised Kai.
"No!" Silverstream said, pulling Smolder and Gallus back in fear as they turned to her. "Gallus, Smolder, don't you know who that yak is?!"
"Who?" Smolder asked curiously.
"That's General Kai!" Silverstream said in horror.
"Who?" Gallus asked curiously.
"Kai." Kai said smirkingly while gaining Smolder and Gallus' attention while the others looked at him in fear. "General Kai. Soon-to-be-Supreme Warlord of all Equestria."
Gallus and Smolder still gave him a blank expression as they shrugged. Their friends, however, still shook in fear.
"The jade slayer. Master of pain." Kai went on to mention his titles, looking for some sign of recognition. "You may know me as the Beast of Vengeance. Uh, Maker of Widows?"
Smolder and Gallus still stared blankly at him with no recognition.
"Huh?" Gallus asked with a raised eyebrow.
Kai gave them a flat look, unamused as he rolled his eyes.
"Okay, I used to work with Master Zhao as his second in command." Kai said in annoyance.
That got Smolder and Gallus' attention.
"Oh, Zhao!" Gallus said.
"We've heard of Zhao!" Smolder added.
"Okay, okay, enough!" Kai said, already getting tired of their prattle but the two kept going. "SILENCE!"
His bellow scared Smolder and Gallus out of their wits.
"But I don't get it. The Quinkan are finished! Why did you come back, Kai?" Sandbar asked as he glared at Kai. "So that Chase can beat you again just like how he did the same to Zhao at the Hollow Shades?!"
"We never give up that easy, foolish Earth Pony." Kai explained with an evil smirk. "After our last encounter with Chase, we took refuge in the mountains to begin our next course of action to rule Equestria."
Korra glared at him angrily as a Protoquin snarled at her.
"And what exactly is your plan anyway?!" Korra demanded.
"Something not even the other villains of this world could do." Kai replied back, his arms crossed before he uncrossed them. "To drain all of the magic away to leave everypony and creature here powerless and defenseless."
Tai Lung then jumped in front of the cage, shocking the Young Nine.
"And to be sure that you won't get any foolish ideas of what will happen to your teachers, you will meet the same fate as them." Tai Lung said with a smirk.
Kai then turns his attention to some of the Quinkan soldiers.
"Find Chase, Twilight, and the others and bring them to us." Kai ordered as the Quinkan bowed their heads in response before they set off into the forest to find the Mane Sixteen.
"Once they bring your teachers here, Chase will know the meaning of pain soon enough once I finish him off." Kai said, turning his attention to the Young Nine as they gazed at him worriedly. "And then, there will be nopony left to even remember his name."
The Young Nine looked more scared by Kai's words as he laughed wickedly.
"KAI IS COMING!" Kai bellowed, making the Nine students shiver in more fear.
(Scene changes)
Travelling the Everfree Forest, the Mane Sixteen and Darkshine were still looking out and searching for the missing students. And so far, they haven't found anyone or even a trap they have to deal with yet.
"Anything?" Rainbow asked Jade impatiently.
Jade used her magic to locate the source of the Quinkan before she sighed.
"No. But I think they have to be somewhere either inside or out of the Castle of The Two Sisters." Jade responded back.
"If Kai has them held hostage, then it's obvious that he's turned it into a trap for us." Sokka said with concern. "We gotta hurry."
With everyone in agreement, they're all trotted off and headed straight to the Castle of Two Sisters. And at the same time, Darkshine seemed down and upset over his demotion and Chancellor Neighsay being mad at him.
"Are you still upset over demotion?" Starlight asked in concern.
"Of course, I am still upset about that! That position means everything to me," Darkshine said in disappointment.
"Yeah. For you to bully some teachers and students," Sunray complained.
"Yeah. We and some students were kinda bumped by you for messing up our fun." Pinkie said in agreement.
"So, you'd think I'm some kind of bully?! Is that how you all think of me when the school started?" Darkshine asked angrily and annoyingly. This made everyone, minus Chase, uneasy and worried. He groaned, "Wow. I have never felt offended in my life! Thinking that my job is about making ponies' lives miserable when I'm trying to make sure the school never closes down and students get the education they need!"
Chase was feeling something was off about Darkshine.
"Tell me, Darkshine. What's a nice unicorn like you doing with a pony like Neighsay?" Chase asked with a soft glare. "Is there a reason why you're being stuck in the mud?"
Darkshine looked at him for a moment before he sighed.
"Well, in many ways, it's all I've ever known." Darkshine began as a flashback showing him in an orphanage as his younger self watched other fillies and colts being adopted. Then he grew older as he joined the EEA and another flashback showed him supervising a campground called 'Camp Everfree'. He saw many ponies laughing and having fun while following their own rules without the EEA guidebook. "At a young age, I was only little without a family and for some reason they disappeared without a trace. As I grew older, I left the orphanage to help the EEA oversee every school in Equestria. I was supervising a campground named Camp Everfree. I saw the ways the ponies were following their own way without the EEA guidebook, which had me thinking that it would be the greater good if all schools who would teach others about friendship can do better without any problem from the ponies of the Equestria Education Association." A flashback then showed Chancellor Neighsay closing down the campground, due to hearing how the ponies didn't follow the guidebook, leaving them sad and depressed. Then another one showed Darkshine arguing with Chancellor Neighsay before the flashback ended showing Darkshine's firm look. "But it was closed down because it refused to obey and follow the EEA guidebook. The camp consultants didn't believe in the EEA Rules suitable for the camp. So, they tried their own teaching style. This got the EEA on the wrong side to close it down. I spoke out thus too often and too loudly against Chancellor Neighsay, of course he wouldn't accept it and reminded me of what happens when schools don't follow the ways of the EEA."
The others were visibly shocked by this.
"Oh, horrible." Fluttershy said in shock.
"No wonder you wanted to make us follow the EEA rules, knowing it doesn't work well." Jade said with concern.
"Oh, believe me, I know it doesn't work for some schools because telling and writing on board are not always the best teachings to students," Darkshine said firmly. He sighed, "But if I let them go and do what they wanted, the EEA will close down the school. That's why I had to be hard on the schools to make sure that they will never closed and get accredited, no matter what."
Everyone couldn't help but feel sympathy and pity for Darkshine's reasons and strict EEA Rules.
"I kinda feel bad for saying that to you," Rainbow said in shame.
"Me too…" Pinkie agreed in shame.
"I think all of us feel the same," Sunray said in concern, "Sorry, Darkshine."
Darkshine sighed.
"Well, it doesn't matter. The school is already closed down. No matter what anyone said, Chancellor Neighsay deemed it a failure. It's gonna be tough to change his mind." Darkshine said.
"That is true, I suppose…" Starlight agreed. She turned and looked at Twilight, who was still upset and disappointed over her school being closed. "And it's affecting her."
"But not for long," Chase disagreed. He then approached his wife. He spoke firmly, "Twilight, it's not gonna help us find and rescue the students if you're not concetrating."
"Oh! Sorry about that," Twilight apologized in shame. She sighed in frustration, "It's… It's just so hard to get over what has happened."
"Honey, you can't let Neighsay get to you! He's wrong about ponies and creatures becoming friends, our school, our teaching skills and what friendship is really about. Plus, his EEA Guidebook didn't work well for our school. It caused the mess in the first place." Chase said sternly.
"Still… I can't help but feel like he was right about one thing. The school was a disaster and students went missing because of me. I've let everyone down." Twilight said sadly. "I mean, I'm supposed to be the Princess of Friendship! And all I did was get my school…" Her right eyelid twitches a bit. "Unaccredited!"
"Twilight, don't you think you give up too easily?" Starlight asked firmly. Twilight turned and glared at her. She laughed a bit, "Hey, you made me a guidance counselor. That means tough love."
Chase groaned as he face hoofed himself in annoyance.
"Not helping, Starlight." Chase said with a stern glare.
"Hear me out, guys," Starlight said firmly to the alicorn couple, "I was a disaster when I became your apprentice. But you showed me that when you know in your heart something is right, you stand up for it. You did that for me. Why not for the School of Friendship?"
Everypony looked surprised by Starlight's counsel.
"Somehow, I know where this is going," Chase commented amusingly. He turned and looked at Twilight, "Remember what I told you, honey?"
"Oh no! No! I am not going to do that! I am not going through it!" Twilight said with a glare.
"Twilight, you have to. And this is politics," Sokka said seriously and firmly, "Neighsay is too stubborn and ignorant to listen because he thinks he's doing 'greater good' for ponies. But in reality, he's a xenophobic coward and wanted to prove that ponies are better than creatures. So, if you prove your valued point over his, then others will support and agree with you. And therefore, he will be forced to step down and submit to your vision."
Twilight shook her head and protested.
"But I want him to change and accept my vision, not forced him! There has to be a better way!" Twilight protested.
"Sorry, Twilight. But I have to agree with Blaze. This is politics. No one is gonna play nice and fair to each other. You have to make a stand and show your point is better than Neighsay's, no matter what." Chase said as Twilight turned to her husband.
"I can't go against the EEA! They're in charge of all the schools in Equestria!"
"No, Twilight!" Starlight disagreed, "You and Chase are in-charge of all the friendship in Equestria. Why should you let somepony else stop you two from doing your job?"
Twilight looked uneasy and concerned.
"But Neighsay-!" Twilight was about to protest again, but was cut off.
"Doesn't matter!" Starlight interrupted loudly yet firmly to surprised and shocked Twilight, "You can write your own rules! Because you are doing something new. Something important! That is the greater good! Better than Neighsay's! Make your stand now!"
"Yeah, Mom." Nyx said, agreeing with Starlight. "You can't let Chancellor Neighsay do that to you! You need to fight back and show him what happens when you mess with the wrong ponies."
Twilight was still stunned and surprised. She turned and looked at the rest of her friends, family, and even Darkshine, who showed their confidence and determination while nodding firmly that they're willing to stand by her side and support her vision, no matter what. She even realized what was really going on.
"You're right," Twilight said in realization, "Why we're doing this is way more important than how we're doing this! And we are doing this!"
Everyone cheered out wildly and happily about Twilight's resolve. She finally got her confidence and determination back.
Sunray scoffed amusingly.
"About time you realized what you have to do." Sunray said with a smirk.
"Now, that's the Twilight we know." Starlight exclaimed happily.
"You're ready for the mission, honey?" Chase asked calmly.
"Yes, I am, sweetie." Twilight said firmly and calmly.
"Then come on, guys!" Chase said with a smirk. "We've got to find the students and get the school up and running again!"
The others cheered when a growl was heard in the background, making them freeze in place.
"Uh, guys. Tell me I'm not the one hearing this." Clay said while looking around on full alert with the others as more growling was heard.
"Nope." Applejack said with a worried look. "You're not, honey."
While looking on full alert, Chase failed to see a Pyroquin clinging on a tree high above ground. It growled and hissed a bit before it thrust its way to Chase, but the alicorn stallion felt its presence before he sumersault kicked the Quinkan soldier to the ground, gaining the others attention.
"Heads up, guys!" Chase said as the Quinkan army came out of hiding and circled around the group with growls while the group glared back at them. "We've got company."
Chase and his family, stood on their hind legs with their horns lit, aura hands replacing their front hooves, and dished out their respective weapons. The Quinkan army charged at Mane Sixteen and Darkshine, who charged back.
Rainbow Dash swooped down from the skies, kicking one of the Protoquin soldiers away. One of the Pyroquin attempted to swipe from behind, but Sunray quickly came to his friend's defense, deflecting the strike with his staff.
Two of the Electroquins used their electricity to shoot a lightning bolt at Chase, who used his lightning element abilities to shoot a lightning beam at the Electroquin soldiers, shocking them in the process. Then he blocked a kick and a punch from two of the Protoquin soldiers before he performed a spin kick, knocking them to the ground.
Jade uses her tessen fans to block the incoming attacks from a Pyroquin and dodges a swipe from a Protoquin before she jumps in mid air, kicking both soldiers away before she stands on her hind legs.
Applejack bucks two Pyroquin soldiers aside, dodges a punch from another, and kicks him aside.
Clay twirls his kusarigama a bit before he uses it to whack a few Pyroquin soldiers aside, punches one to the ground, and back kicks the other aside.
Twilight and Starlight fired their magic beams at two Uberquin soldiers forcing them back a bit as Darkshine fired a stronger beam of magic at another one.
Sokka and Fluttershy were facing off against four Pyroquin soldiers as they attempted to punch the Pegasi couple, but they dodged, kicked, and punched the Quinkan monsters to the ground while Pinkie fires her confetti cannon to blind the soldiers as usual while Rarity fired a beam of magic at a few Protoquins with Spike firing his dragon breath at them.
Trini back flipped a few paces away from an Uberquin trying to knock her aside, but she dodged every one of them before she jumped up and spin kicked the monster in the face, knocking him down to the ground.
Antonio back kick's two Pyroquin soldiers away before he blocks an incoming punch from a Pyroquin and palm strikes the first soldier away and uppercuts the second soldier to the ground.
Then Chase used his element magic to summon a lightning bolt energy and uses it to shock the Quinkan soldiers as they roared in pain. Then they fell to the ground unconscious.
"Okay, that's the last of them." Sunray said with a smirk.
"No doubt more will be on the way, Sunray." Darkshine reminded Sunray firmly.
"Come on, we gotta get to the castle now." Chase said as he and the group ran to the Castle of The Two Sisters.
(Scene changes)
Kai had his eyes closed before he reopened them with a smirk.
"Your teachers are close, but not for long." Kai said as he turned to face the Young Eight as they glared at him.
"We're not gonna let you touch them." Sandbar said angrily.
"When they get here, you're in for it now!" Gallus added. "And as long as we have each other, we're in this together!"
"Yona not scared! Yona have friends!" Yona huffed in agreement.
Kai chuckled.
"Nice, but it still won't save you." Kai said with a smirk.
"You really think you can take them down so they can help us out of here?!" Korra demanded angrily.
"Do you take me for a fool? There is no help for you." Kai replied back deviously with a chuckle.
"Tell us where the rest of your army is, Kai!" Korra said angrily. "Where are you cowards hiding in the mountains?!"
"You do not get to make demands, girl!" Tai Lung said with a snarl.
"Oh no?!" Korra demanded with her horn lit and fired a magic beam, striking the roof of the bird cage in an instant and flew out in an instant.
"What?!" Tai Lung shouted in surprise as Korra lit her horn and aura hands replaced her front hooves as she sweep kicked the snow leopard in the face, knocking him to the ground as he grunted in pain.
Korra landed on her hind legs before she got into a fighting stance as she and Kai glared at each other. The Quinkan army glared at her with growls.
"Always thinking straight, you meddling White Lotus members. But this is the end of the line for you, Korra." Kai declared as he charged at Korra and tried to punch her three times, but she dodged him and sent a powerful back kick to the anthropomorphic yak's back.
It sent Kai back a bit before he charged at Korra again.
"Come on, Korra! Take Kai down!" Silverstream cheered Korra on as her friends cheered for her as well.
Kai dished out his kyoketsu-shoge while Korra dished out her staff, twirled it a bit, and a blade came out the front part.
The two stared each other down a bit before they charged at each other, clashing blades for a few moments. Korra dodged a few kicks and sword swipes from Kai before she kicked him in the face, sending him back a bit before he regained focus with a fierce glare.
He then turns back to Korra and lands a devastating punch to her chest, sending her flying against a pillar as she grunted in pain, falling to the ground as she dropped her staff.
"Come on, Korra! Get up!" Mako shouted pleadingly as Kai advanced on Korra and grabbed her left arm, making her struggle to let go.
"Let me go, Kai!" Korra demanded angrily.
"I always knew that you kids in the White Lotus clan were nothing more than a bunch of naive children." Kai said with a smirk as he brought his sword in his left hand near Korra's neck, making her gasp in surprise. "But this world will not mourn you when you are gone, Korra."
Kai chuckled when…
"KAI!" Antonio's voice came out of nowhere gaining Kai's attention as a shuriken flew at him, but he deflected it with his blade.
This also gave Korra the opportunity to somersault to Kai's chin, forcing him to let her go as he staggered back.
Kai regained his focus as he turned to see the Mane Sixteen and Darkshine arrive just in time as they glared at him. Not only that, but the Quinkan army was down, meaning the heroes already took care of it.
"You guys made it!" Bolin said with relief with the rest of his friends sharing the same feeling.
"Kai, I thought you and Tai Lung left the Hollow Shades with the rest of the Quinkan. You know after we defeated you and all?" Chase said with a taunting smirk.
"We will never leave until you and the rest of your family are put to rest, Chase!" Kai replied back angrily as Tai Lung stood next to him with the same glare he sent to the ponies and Spike.
"Team, take them down!" Chase shouted, pointing his katana sword at the two as the others charged at them.
Tai Lung dished out his two katana swords as he faced off against Sunray, Trini, Antonio, and Sokka while Kai faced off against Chase, Twilight, Jade, and Clay.
Chase clashed his blades with Kai for a bit before he dodged the yak's attacks, leaving a few openings for Jade and Twilight as they kicked him in the back, sending him on his chest a bit.
"That's it!" Kai shouted as he ran on all fours towards his four opponents and rammed them hard to the ground, making them grunt in pain.
"You're running low on nine lives, Tai Lung!" Sunray taunted the snow leopard as he dodges a few attacks from Trini, Antonio, and Sokka before he grabs the Pegasus stallion by the face and batted him away, kicked Antonio aside, and punched Trini to the ground.
"Guys, they need our help!" Bolin said worriedly.
Kai made his way over to Chase as the alicorn stallion groaned in pain a bit before he looked weakly towards the yak as he held his kyoketsu-shoge while pointing the one in his right hand at Chase.
"You're beaten, Chase. Your horn will hang in our new lair as a trophy." Kai declared with a sinister smirk.
"I don't think so!" Korra said, gaining Kai's attention as she flew in with a devastating punch to his face, knocking him to the ground and she flew at Tai Lung as she performed a new move by spinning herself one time, landing a powerful kick right between Tai Lung's legs, causing him to crumple to his knees with a weak cat meow.
Her friends, teachers, and Darkshine gazed at her in wide eyed shock of her kata.
"Wow!" Bolin said in amazement. "The Dragon's tail! Right in the fur patch!"
Kai weakly got to his feet as he saw his enemies glaring at him angrily.
"This is not over, Chase." Kai declared before he tossed some smoke bombs to the ground as smoke filled the air.
Once the smoke faded away, Kai, Tai Lung, and the Quinkan were finally gone, leaving only the Mane Sixteen, Spike, Darkshine, and the students.
Darkshine used his magic to open the cage, letting the rest of the Young Nine out.
"Is everycreature okay?" Twilight asked as she and the others approached them.
The Young Nine replied back with a nod.
"Alright, it's time to get back to school now," Darkshine said firmly.
The students sighed in disappointment and frustration, which alerted their teachers to look at them.
"Sounds like they don't want to go back," Clay said in concern.
"Can you blame them? EEA did some serious damage to us and them." Sokka replied back.
"Yeah, about that. If you want our honest opinions, we kinda hate it a lot," Mako said uneasily with a hiss. The Mane Sixteen remained firm and calm to look at the students. He continued, "No offense, but your school kinda sucks."
"Mako's right. You guys are awesome but your teachings are kinda boring and lame." Smolder said as she nodded in agreement.
"Yona not really like school." Yona declared firmly. She then grabbed and hugged Silverstream, Mako, Bolin, and even Smolder. She smiled, "But Yona like new friends!"
Smolder choked in pain, feeling herself choked.
"Smolder... like breathing!" Smolder said, trying to break free.
"I wish the other changelings could meet you all." Ocellus smiled, "You're not nearly as strange as the stories say."
"I feel the same way." Bolin said with a smile.
"Gee, thanks." Smolder scoffed while crossing her hands, "But yeah, hanging out with other creatures is actually... not bad."
The Mane Sixteen looked at each other. They all smiled and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, we do," Trini agreed calmly.
"Really?!" The Young Nine asked in surprise.
"Yup. It's time for some new changes," Antonio said determinedly.
Twilight nodded in confirmation.
"It's pretty clear you've already started learning friendship without your teachers. But we'd like to show you even more... if you'd come back to school?" Twilight asked with a hopeful smile.
"She's right." Chase agreed. "There's a lot of things you could learn from us. Trust us. It'll be a blast."
"Not much of a choice." Smolder groaned in dismay as her friends felt the same way.
"No. It's the truth," Applejack insisted calmly, "And don't worry, we're not gonna make you're bored and disappointed of it."
"Don't worry, everycreature. Our teaching will be better," Sokka said firmly and calmly.
"We guarantee it shall be different." Rarity added.
"Oh, yeah!" Rainbow cheered, "With class run my way, it'll be two hundred and twenty percent cooler."
"And without the EEA, it'll be much friendlier." Fluttershy continued.
"Do you mean it?" Bolin asked hopefully.
"Yup." Sunray replied back with a smirk. "It's not going to be very boring school that you and your friends have been through."
"In that case, I'm in." Korra said as she approached Chase with a smile. "And it would be an honor to learn more about your teachings, Master Chase Young."
Chase chuckled in reply.
"The honor is mine, Korra." Chase replied back with a smile.
"Wow. Looks like things are getting interesting," Gallus commented.
"I know what you mean. Hopefully nothing goes wrong." Sandbar nodded.
"I'm sure everything's alright," Mako said calmly.
"I wouldn't to be sure," Pinkie said in concern yet uneasily, "Chancellor Neighsay got mad about you guys having gone missing! He even demoted Darkshine and closed down the school."
"WHAT?!" The students asked in disbelief.
"It's true." Darkshine sighed.
(Scene changes)
After returning back to Ponyville from the Everfree Forest, the Mane Sixteen, the Young Nine, Spike, Nyx, and Darkshine made their way back to the School of Friendship.
The group approached both the leaders and other students. Bolin and Chancellor Neighsay were whacking each other's foreheads while shouting and scolding angrily and annoyingly. Princess Celestia has arrived at the scene, bringing along with the Royal Guards.
"Twilight! I was so relieved to get your letter!" Princess Celestia said as she approached the group.
"Indeed. I don't know how long I can take with this fool!" Chancellor Neighsay complained in frustration. He then gets another whack from Mystic Tao's. He yelped in pain, "Please, stop doing that!"
"Respect the elders first!" Bumi retorted with a scoff.
The leaders chatted happily as they approached the students. They all chattered in relief and happy to see them safe from danger.
"Either way, you have your students back. Now return home and never come here again!" Chancellor Neighsay demanded.
"And why would they do that?" Princess Celestia asked suspiciously.
"I disapprove and closed down the School of Friendship," Chancellor Neighsay answered bluntly and firmly, "Princess Twilight, Master Chase, and their friends have failed to follow the EEA Guidebook and did nothing to keep the students in check, resulting them to be kidnapped by the Quinkan!"
"Is there anything else you wish to add, chancellor? I am certain there is a reason behind this." Princess Celestia asked with a glare.
"Nothing else, Princess." Chancellor Neighsay rebuffed angrily.
"Well, I'm glad that you are safe, Silverstream," Queen Novo said warmly as she gave Silverstream a warm hug, "Your father will not forgive if anything bad happens to you."
"Either way, we're done with this place!" Grandpa Gruff exclaimed angrily, "It's time you got home!"
As Grandpa Gruff bit and dragged Gallus off by his ear, the latter gave a slap on his beak.
"I'm not leaving." Gallus said with a glare.
"Whaaaat?!" Grandpa Gruff squawked in surprise.
"None of us are." Ocellus agreed. She then hides behind Bella's back. She continued, "Sorry, Thorax."
This shocked and surprised all of the leaders, and even the chancellor himself.
"Is this some kind of joke?!" Chancellor Neighsay demanded.
"No," Smolder disagreed, "All of us are going back to school."
"How?" Ember asked surprisingly. "You can't even get inside."
Suddenly, everyone heard a loud magic channeling its powers. They all turned to the School of Friendship's entrance. Charging up their magical powers, Twilight and Chase each blasted at the padlocks and the chains, breaking them apart and allowing the School of Friendship to be open.
The Mane Sixteen were happy about it. Her action shocked and surprised the leaders, the students and even Chancellor Neighsay.
"School is back in session!" Twilight declared proudly.
The students gave loud cheers and applause for it. The leaders were surprised and shocked by Twilight's action. Her friends and family were proud of it.
"How. Dare. You?!" Chancellor Neighsay demanded angrily as he approached Twilight and Chase at the entrance. He groaned, "Do you two realize what you have done?!"
"We do, Chancellor Neighsay!" Twilight answered firmly and calmly, "And I respectfully ask you to step aside, or classes will start late."
"Classes won't start at all! I meant what I said about your school! It will not happen!" Chancellor Neighsay exclaimed angrily, "The EEA has spoken, and none shall pass!"
"Then, explain yourself, Chancellor. I would like to know," Princess Celestia demanded firmly and calmly yet suspiciously.
"The school was disorganized, the teachers unqualified!" Chancellor Neighsay explained seriously and firmly, "And those dangerous and unpredictable 'students' have caused some problems such as caused infighting among them, gone missing purposely ad almost put themselves in danger because they do not like the school."
"Is that so?" Pakku asked, not believing him.
"Yes, Pakku. That is how it happens from Darkshine's reports and my observation." Chancellor Neighsay answered.
Princess Celestia hummed in an unconvincing tone. She turned and looked at Twilight and Chase.
"Twilight, I am certain that you have a reason why you did it."
"We do, Princess…" Twilight confirmed firmly. She then explained, "I admit it. We did our best to follow the EEA, but instead, it only makes us difficult and frustrated to teach the students or even them enjoyed our classes. Therefore, the school did not receive warm reception from the students."
"So, you agreed with my report?!" Chancellor Neighsay asked in annoyance.
Despite his intimidation, Twilight remained composure and firm to continue her explanation.
"However, I still believe the school has some potential. Thanks to my husband's style of teachings, I have decided that we make some changes such as overhaul the lesson plans, modify classes sizes and of course, we make our own styles to teach the students." Twilight continued.
"Unacceptable!" Chancellor Neighsay exclaimed in fury, "Did you honestly think that your school is better without the EEA accredited?!"
"It doesn't need to be. Do you know why my husband and I built the school in the first place?" Twilight asked firmly. Chancellor Neighsay remained silent yet skeptical and doubtful. She continued, "Our school is for both ponies and creatures to learn and understand the 'Magic of Friendship', so they can build a better future."
"Do you believe that?!" Chancellor Neighsay questioned.
"We do." Chase said confidently. He turned and looked at Sandbar's group. He smiled proudly, "They have proven my point. These students reminded me that every friendship is special, so the way we teach it has to be just as unique. Our school is going to do things differently."
"Allowing all of these creatures to attend your school, changing the rules for them – it simply won't work!" Chancellor Neighsay exclaimed angrily.
"Funny. Where have I heard that before?" Pakku hummed thoughtfully, "I recall something about Earth ponies, unicorns, and Pegasi doing something similar, don't you?"
Princess Celestia nodded,
"Indeed. The previous EEA Head told me the same thing about my school and my reason. They do not believe it would work. But at the end, I have proven them that some students were able to advance magical spells and abilities. I was proud of them." Princess Celestia said firmly.
"That is different, Princess Celestia! Unlike you, her school failed and unable to produce some good results because she did not follow the EEA rules." Chancellor Neighsay argued.
"Hmm… Funny. The way I see it is that the EEA Guidebook is the cause of the problems in the first place," Princess Celestia said humbly and calmly. Levitated the document, she continued, "Recognize this? It's the same document Darkshine has delivered to you."
Chancellor Neighsay gasped.
"What?! How?!" Chancellor Neighsay asked in shock.
Pakku chuckled a bit.
"Princess Celestia and I secretly ordered Lockdown to deliver his recommendation letter to us first. So, we can judge and decide on it, just in case if you tried to destroy it." Pakku explained.
"You knew it?" Chancellor Neighsay asked with a nervous gulp.
"And not only that, Twilight and Chase informed me that you thoughtlessly challenged and insulted our allies and even being racist at them, despite the fact that they have helped and assisted us to defeat our enemies?!" Princess Celestia said firmly and seriously, with a nod. Chancellor Neighsay was a bit uneasy. She continued, "Chancellor, may I remind you that you're the minister and in-charge over education, not internal and foreign affairs!"
"Princess Celestia, I'm doing this for greater good!" Chancellor Neighsay protested in concern.
Princess Celestia shook her head in disagreement.
"I'm afraid I do not agree with your 'greater good'. It is completely absurd and unreasonable especially it involved of racism. I believed Twilight and Chase's reasons are fair, true and indeed for 'greater good'. Making friends with creatures have proved her point. I trust her to continue that." Princess Celestia said sternly to Chancellor Neighsay.
"So am I," Pakku agreed.
"Us too." Iroh said as Bumi nodded in agreement as well.
The leaders chattered and nodded in agreement. They're all have agreed and supported Twilight and Chase's visions.
Witnessing almost all the leaders including Princess Celestia have agreed and supported Twilight's vision, Chancellor Neighsay groaned in frustration that his has been rejected while allowing the Princess of Friendship to open and continue the School of Friendship.
"I promise you, Chancellor. Our school will help protect Equestria." Twilight said firmly and determinedly.
"Or destroy it!" Chancellor Neighsay exclaimed in anger and frustration. He sighed, "However, I know when to admit my defeat and back off. But mark my word, Princess Twilight, you and your husband will be responsible for this problem."
"We won't be alone." Chase said firmly as he and the rest of his friends stayed close to Twilight. He declared, "We'll be there for her. Count on it."
"We shall see. I will return to my office now." Chancellor Neighsay rebuffed. "Darkshine, with me!"
"No," Darkshine disagreed, shocking everyone.
"How dare you defy me?!" Chancellor Neighsay demanded angrily, "I am the Head of EEA! Your leader! You will obey my command or suffer the consequence!"
"Yeah, about that. The thing is I have a confession to make," Darkshine said seriously while gesturing to the chancellor to come closer. As he did, the school inspect slammed the document on his face hard. "I quit."
Chancellor Neighsay grunted angrily as he pulled down the document.
"Fine! You will learn to regret this moment!"
Chancellor Neighsay summoned the portal for him to use and return to EEA Building. With him gone, the students including Sandbar's group gave a round of applause and cheers that they not only got the school, but also the classes will be different than EEA's.
"Hmph. How is this school going to be any different from last time?" Grandpa Gruff asked in annoyance.
"Don't worry, Grandpa Gruff. I'm pretty sure Twilight and Chase have a good idea." Queen Novo said as she smiled at the royal alicorn couple. "Isn't that right you two?"
Twilight smiled confidently and calmly toward Queen Novo's question while winking at the leaders as Chase stood beside his wife with a confident smirk. They have the idea.
[Twilight - she and Chase levitated and opened the door. They, their family, and the rest of their friends and students marched into the school. They even brought some stuffs that Chancellor Neighsay has forced them to throw out. And at the same time, the song began.]

This school of friendship is for all of us
A place where we belong
Where we all learn to share and trust
The only rule here is to find your way
And friendship always wins at the end of the day!
The School of Friendship has proven success for one month.
(Scene changes)
One month later, the Mane Sixteen met up with the leaders, along with the representative students gathered there. They all passed the photo frames for the leaders to keep.
"Well, looks like you guys have done it again." Ember said with a smirk before she gave an annoyed look. "If you promise to stop singing, Smolder can stay."
Smolder cheered out loud and happily about it as Ember smiled proudly.
"Thanks, Ember. I guess your kind is gonna learn more about friendship now that Smolder has joined." Spike said with a smile as Ember smiled in return.
"Don't worry, Spike. As long as you guys help her out, I'm sure all of the dragons will understand friendship." Ember said as she patted Spike's head.
"Ember and Spike, sitting in the-!" Smolder paused, noticing Ember and Spike glaring at her. She giggled a bit, "Shutting my mouth."
"Uh, if dragon stay, yak stay." Prince Rutherford supported as he gave Yona a hug, making the latter smile.
"I can see some improvement in you, my granddaughter." Pakku said proudly to Korra. He continued, "I expect more from you. Hoping that one day, you'll take over the command of the clan. Do not disappoint me."
"I won't let you down, grandpa." Korra said as she hugged her grandfather, making him smile while returning the favor.
"I expect the same for you too, Bolin." Bumi said as he hoof bumped with Bolin as they smiled.
"The same goes for you as well, Mako." Iroh said to Mako, who smiled in reply.
Mr. and Mrs. Sandbar, and even his younger sister approached and gave Sandbar a hug.
"I am so proud of you, son." Mr. Sandbar spoke.
"Yes. Perhaps, this is the right place for you," Mrs. Sandbar said warmly while looking at some creatures, "Especially making some new friends."
"Aw, thanks, mom and dad. Thanks for the support." Sandbar said as he smiled happily.
"I know you will make the changelings proud, Ocellus." Thorax said to Ocellus with a smile as he patted the young changeling's head, making her smile.
"You belong here, Silverstream," Queen Novo said compassionately towards Silverstream. Her niece jumped and hugged her. She sighed a bit, "Now, how am I gonna explain to my brother about you staying here for long time?"
"I'm sure Uncle Skybeak will understand about it." Skystar said as she giggled.
Witnessing so many leaders giving their blessing and confidence to the students, Gallus turned and looked at Grandpa Gruff.
"What? You belong at home! You think I care if you've made friends?" Grandpa Gruff scoffed.
"Please, Grandpa Gruff?" Gallus asked, making the elder griffon turn to him, to his shock, as the young griffon gave him a puppy eye look.
"Alright! Alright!" Grandpa said annoyingly. "Stop doing that!"
"Come on, every creature! To the school now!" Darkshine commanded, "It's school time! Move it!"
The students cheered happily and wildly as all of them headed and quickly inside the School of Friendship. And at the same time, the leaders turned and left the school, returning to their home to dealing with governing their land.
"Looks like everything's alright. I'm so happy that we have the supports for this school." Twilight said happily. Everyone chatted happily about it. She then noticed Chase's concerned looks. "Chase, what's wrong?"
"The Quinkan. It looks like they've grown stronger than ever since our last battle at the Hollow Shades." Chase said gravely.
"So what now? We know Kai and Tai Lung are still out there somewhere." Sunray said, not liking this.
"I have a very bad feeling that things are about to take a turn for the worst." Chase said with a glare.
"Don't worry, honey." Twilight said to her husband with a smile as she nuzzled his cheek, making him smile a bit. "If they come back with their army to strike back, we'll be ready for them."
Chase smiled.
"You're right, honey." Chase said as he addressed his family and friends. "Come on, guys. We got a class to teach."
The Mane Sixteen marched into the school, resuming their duty to help teach the students about Magic of Friendship.
(Scene changes)
In a dark mountain range, we focus our attention on one of the big mountains as a cave showed a glowing green aura.
Inside the new lair, Kai was sharpening his blades before he stopped and glared at his reflection. Walking up to him were Tai Lung, Celtic, and Lightning Dust.
"Well, it seems like Chase and the others have gained the advantage to teach others about friendship." Lightning Dust said with a disdainful look. "It looks as though he's gonna be ready to fight back soon enough."
"Not to worry, Lightning Dust. The sooner he is alone, then we will strike at him." Kai assured her with a smirk.
"But with Wuya out, we still need another plan to drain the magic to the Netherworld and the Quinkan army can rise again so that Master Zhao's legacy continues." Celtic reminded Kai with a grim expression. "But I believe Chase is not going to give up that easily to defeat us."
Kai turned to his fellow comrades briefly before he turned to an image of Chase and stabbed one of his kyoketsu-shoge swords on it.
"If it is a war he wants, it is a war he will get. Soon, revenge will be ours." Kai said sinisterly as he chuckled lowly.
Author's note: Here's another chapter with a few twists to it, guys. Hope you will enjoy it.
Peace out!
