"How the hell did you manage to find us?" Dean asked Sam, sitting on the infirmary bed next to his brother.
Sam was sitting up, feet dangling off the bed, the wound in his leg had fresh sutures, clean bandages and an antibiotic ointment.
"I don't even know," he replied, "Most of the time I had no idea where I was anyway. I could have been in Canada for all I knew."
Dean handed his brother a glass of water and a handful of pills, more Tylenol and antibiotics.
Sam took the medicine and finished the water.
"Dean," he held the glass with both hands, looking down, "About the fight. I-"
Dean raised a hand, "Forget about it. I was wrong. We are stronger together. I just didn't see that."
Sam looked up at him, his eyes moist.
"Thanks," he muttered.
Dean smiled and plucked the glass from his hand.
"Why don't you get some more rest?" Standing, Dean let Sam lie down and left the infirmary.

"Dean!"
The hunter looked around to see Monty walking towards him.
"Done your shift for the day?" he asked.
Monty nodded distractedly.
"I've got to talk to you," he said.
"What's up?" Dean asked.
"Rick and I saw a Croat outside today," Monty told him.
Dean frowned slightly, "Just one?"
The other man nodded.
"Okay," he replied.
"Okay?" Monty asked, taken aback.
"Yeah, Monty. One Croat isn't anything to get your panties in a twist over," Dean chided, "We've gotten the odd one sniffing around here before."
"When was the last time?" Monty asked.
"What?" Dean asked.
"When was the last time we saw a lone Croat?"
The hunter shrugged, "I don't know, eight or nine months ago?"
Monty nodded.
"What's this about?"
"You sure that guy's not infected?"
"No," Dean replied in a tone that told the other man there would be no argument, "Sam isn't infected."
"Are you sure?" Monty asked.
Dean reached out, gripping the other man's shoulder tightly and turned him around, "Sam is clean. You have my word on that. Now just relax. Go have a beer, have sex with a pretty girl, just do something but I don't want to hear about Croats and my brother's name in the same sentence again. Got it?"
Monty looked at Dean uneasily.
"Got it?"
Monty nodded, "Got it."
Pulling away from Dean, Monty hurried away, glancing at him from over his shoulder as he went.

Sam stood in the doorway to the infirmary, gazing in wonder at the camp.
"Hey! What are you doing up?"
Looking up, he caught sight of his brother and stepped through the threshold.
"I'm feeling better," Sam told him, "Better than I have in a long while, anyway."
Dean stepped up beside his brother.
"It's pretty amazing," Sam said, "What you've done here."
Dean smiled, "It wasn't just me. I had help."
Sam glanced at him, "Cas and Chuck and… and Bobby helped. I couldn't have done it without them."
"Is Bobby here? I haven't seen him?" Sam asked hopefully.
Dean shook his head, "I'm sorry, Sammy."
Sam looked down.
"Hey, if you think you're up to it, why don't I show you around?" Dean asked.
