The worst part about finally making my writing public for others, is now I'm getting feedback and it's giving me new ideas and I don't have enough time in a day to put them all down. I could probably focus on just Ranma stories for like, a year straight. Thanks you lovable people.
-Story Start-
While Ranma and the leaders were continuing their talks, the rest of their groups attempted to mingle and get to know one another. The Amazons being the hosts had the most in attendance and they were making full affect of that, joking and challenging each other and some of the other delegations that would put up with them. The Musk already knew them somewhat and while the mostly male group was, wary, of the women warriors they were still accepting offers to spar. A few lucky or unlucky men might be finding themselves wedded before the night was over, not that the Amazons would tell them that.
On the Phoenix side it was a different sort of mingling. While they were true aerial combat experts with a smattering of hand to hand combat types with their normal human cursed forms, the Amazon were finding that they had a real talent in the arts. Possibly it was due to their avian ancestry but they were finding that among their skills singing and music was near the top. Along with art and painting, vibrant colors decorating themselves in both the feathers and body paints and tattoos, the Phoenix were near king of colorful expression. The Amazon were happy to encourage the Phoenix to sing and show off a bit in the background, which they eventually began to in some groups when the drinks started to flow. The Musk had little interest in such and instead attempted to goad some of the royal guard into fights or sparring matches. Remembering their orders however there were few who rose above some harsh language. They would not dishonor their King on this day.
Generally the mood was lighthearted and bordering on fun between the Amazon and the Phoenix. Possibly linked to the fact that one of the Phoenix King's wives was an Amazon herself. The Phoenix would be the first to admit they did not think highly of land dwellers, spending time with them however was showing that they had a long history and culture that could be respected as well. The mood between the Phoenix and Musk however was tense to say the least. A mutual respect as combat tribes sure, but beyond that there wasn't an easy bond there. Sure some of the Musk could relate with their avian genetics but they couldn't look past the Phoenix looking down on them. Relations between those two tribes would be slow going most likely, if they bonded at all.
Through it all, with nothing to do the resident Queens all sat and talked among themselves while entertaining Usa. Shampoo was joking and bringing Usagi up to speed on how the Amazon did things and some of their history, while Akane was actually paying the most attention to Usa. The smaller girl seemed to be at home in this setting which she explained that in the future she had to attend plenty of official royal functions. This was at least a little less formal than she was used to but she knew to be on her better behaviour. Surprised and a little proud of the girl who wasn't to be her daughter, she was starting to understand the saying about 'it took a village'. Maybe raising children as a group wouldn't be so bad.
As the sun finally began to set the talks started to wind down, various official functionaries moving between the main table and mingling between the groups. While yes Cologne, Ranma, and Herb could decide on plans it was still up to the lower level staff to make them happen. When that included plans between different tribes? Well the service staff learned quickly to get along with the other tribes.
Ranma leaned back and stretched, having to sit down for so long was never something he wanted to get used to. He didn't miss school and he sure wouldn't miss this type of work, "So we'll promise to keep the boarders as they are for now, but start some limited mineral and ore trade with the Musk and the Amazon in the near future."
Cologne nodded first, "In accordance we will supply several grain stores we have in bulk along with silks. The Amazon will also be working on tentative border passage agreements with the Musk to, foster, relations."
Herb had crossed his arms and closed his eyes out of boredom. There was no fighting and thus he was losing interest, "And the Musk will reduce border activity and begin some social reforms to accommodate the Amazon. In exchange for minerals and heavy ore trade, the Musk will supply beef and pork as trade to the Phoenix, amounts to be determined."
Ranma nodded, "Cool, we're in agreement then?"
"Yes."
"Of course."
Ranma turned back to Kiima, "Looks like that's it then, we're all done."
Kiima nodded and turned, catching the eye of Jeeves who nodded and hurried around the tables to arrive at Ranma's side. "My lord?"
"You can announce we're all done here. The Phoenix will be staying for the night and then returning to the mountain in the morning." Bowing Jeeves turned to the assembled mass, though the noise level was much louder than earlier in the day. Ranma noticed the chamberlain's hesitation and decided to throw him a bone. Taking a deep breath and then exhaling long and slow, a thin stream of fire arched into the air. Twisting and turning it formed into the shape first of a dragon that sailed over everyone's heads, and then coalesced into a great Phoenix spreading it's wings before dispersing. The space now quiet, Jeeves nodded to his King for the assist.
"Everyone! It is with a full heart I announce that the tribal talks have reached an end! There is peace for now and hopefully a long time to come, please look to your superiors for orders and continue to enjoy the festivities." Outside he had heard the Amazons had turned it into something of a festival. Complete with a challenge pit and a champion log.
Cologne stood and stretched her back, using her staff to help crack several stubborn joints. "We should do this more often I think. It's nice to see the young one's act their age."
Herb nodded as he stood, "This has been enjoyable. Though the Musk will be returning to our lands tonight, we have work to perform and word to spread." Issuing quiet orders to Mint and Lime the leader then turned back to Ranma, "I would however, enjoy a friendly rematch."
Ranma stood with a grin on his face, "I'd like that. I haven't had a good fight in a while." Plus he'd get to surprise the other King. He wasn't the only one who could fly now after all.
Rolling her eyes Cologne turned to a bouncy Ling-ling and Lung-lung, "Go ahead and see your elder sister, I'm sure you have much to catch up on." Both girls racing off, Kiima had to raise her hand to keep their guards from intervening. "I myself am headed back to the village, I'm looking forward to tea and some rest. Come visit me later son-in-law."
Ranma nodded as he pushed away from the table, "Sure thing Elder, of course, if Shampoo doesn't distract me." He could be respectful this once, in public at least." Getting a knowing chuckle from the old woman, Ranma turned to Setsuna and Kiima. "I'm sure the girls are bored and wanna get out, so follow after them would ya? I know for sure Shampoo wants to show everyone around, I'll catch up after I have a quick match with Herb."
Kiima bowed, "Yes sire, by your leave." She was already turning to attend to the Usa herself, she was growing fond of the little princess.
Setsuna herself just smirked and nodded, "I'll do my best to keep Usagi out of trouble." Turning to leave, she trailed a hand across Ranma's shoulder and the King shivered lightly.
Herb was smirking as the two King made their way together out of the tent, the taller man looking to the bright orange sky, "Heavy is the mantle of Kinghood yes?"
"If I knew it was going to become all of this I might just have let Saffron win." Ranma was not one to stand on ceremony or deal with official things easily. He had taken the responsibility however, tied his fate to his people. It was a done deal now, even if some of the perks were exhausting. Enjoyable. But exhausting.
Around them there seemed to be a renewed energy as people watched them both walk along. Apparently someone had overheard them and had spread the word that the two Kings would be having a spar. Several Phoenix flying overhead, some even carrying laughing Amazons, both Kings rolled their eyes as they found the challenge pit was suddenly emptied. A large empty space that was roped off for safety, it didn't take long for both of them to find themselves at the center of it and stretching themselves out.
"Any rules before we get to this?"
Herb shrugged, "It was a close thing last time, I'm still sure I can best you."
Ranma grinned, "Oh ho. Confident as always, okay. I'll try not to crush you to bad in front of your people." Looking around and seeing the large mixed group of people, Ranma tapped in to his magic with a thought. Mingling it with his chi, he blinked once and a light red sheen rimmed his eyes, "Ready for this?"
Herb took a ready stance, "Of course, little King." Charging at his opponent, the two began to trade blows to the cheers of the crowd. They both missed their very visually similar chamberlains commentating the match off to the side together.
Herb leads with several powerful overhead strikes and deadly round house kicks. Ranma weaves around the strikes and dances away from the taller man, grinning and falling into his habit of working his opponent into the initial steps of the hiryu technique. Though he no longer needed the full steps it was still good to have his opponent fall into a pattern that could be exploited. Herb however wasn't having it, retreating and tossing several chi blasts at the pigtailed man. Ranma dodged those he saw wouldn't hit anyone and deflected several more into the air to disperse, before launching a few of his own back. Seeing there was a stalemate there, Ranma dashed forward while applying chi to his arms and legs in hopes of using a modified Amaguriken against the other King. Getting close the taller man took to the air, laughing as Ranma paused with a raised eyebrow.
"You're King of the Phoenix and yet locked to the ground, how pitiful."
"You're gonna regret that Herb!" Tapping into his magic completely, he jumped with all his might. Wings bursting into existence he savored Herb's widening eyes as he buried a fist in the taller man's solar plexus. Dry heaving and bent over Ranma's fist, Herb was launched higher into the sky. Wings giving a powerful flap Ranma was after him in an instant. Herb had some time to recover but it wasn't enough. With the added power from magical reinforced attacks, Herb was pressed just to defend himself. Dashing across the sky but staying above the challenge area, it was Herb who was again launched towards the ground.
The entire crowd going wild, Herb landed on his feet but cratered the ground with his landing. Groaning but not ready to give up yet, he amassed his chi into his hands for the largest chi based attack he could formulate. Looking up and locking eyes on Ranma he wondered how the King would like a Hiryu turned back on him.
Ranma however saw what Herb was attempting and grinned as he willed a massive amount of fire into his wings. So the dragon wanted to try it huh? Okay, he had something new to play with as well. Working on a magically backed soul of ice, he cultivated a core of ice at his center. As he approached Herb, the other King unleashed his attack, drawing in Ranma's fire.
"Hiryu Shoten Ha!" Winds, chi, dirt and anything else loose were picked up and funneled into the rising dragon technique, all aimed at Ranma who was at the center of it all. Smirking with triumph, Herb wanted to see how his equal would come out of this one.
Ranma however was already making his next move. While the Rising Dragon was a technique he loved to use, it wouldn't work if things were cold enough. Magically amplifying the soul of ice, Ranma leeched all of the hot chi in the air and therefore the incoming attack. Body trailing ice, smaller wings like clear crystal, Ranma uttered one word that somehow was heard by everyone.
"Silence."
A thin layer of frost spread from him to the surrounding area. The attack that Herb launched was instantly vaporize and as Ranma touched down thicker ice spread out in a circle from him for about 30 meters. Herb himself was caught, oddly feeling his chi drain slightly in the aftershock of whatever Ranma had done. The winds had calmed, even noise was muted. At the center of it all was Ranma, eyes shining like twin chips of glacial ice. Taking a breath and theatrically exhaling a Phoenix made of ice, Ranma grinned, "Ready to continue?" He took a step forward and the ice field expanded a step with him.
Herb shuddered and shook his head, trying and almost failing to use his chi for anything other than just warming his body. "This is an interesting technique you have here. I don't think you've used this before."
Ranma nodded as he stood tall, hands on his hips, "One of my abilities is regulating environmental temperatures. In the past the Phoenix needed this to survive. Now that they don't need me to do that I've been, playing, with it a bit. I combined it with the soul of ice."
"Ah, that would do it." It seemed to not just draw in heat, but also chi. Right now Herb's senses were screaming at him that Ranma was currently a fountain of literal chi. "Seems I have no counter to this yet, I'll have to yield this time."
Cancelling the technique and welling up flames to flash melt all of the ice and return the surrounding temperature to normal, Ranma was all grins, "I did say I'm different now."
Walking forward and clasping hands with his equal, Herb nodded, "So you did. It was a good spar young King, maybe we can share a drink next time."
Nodding Ranma stepped away as around them everyone cheered, his people loudest of all, "Sure thing, something friendly next time." Finally tuning in to their surroundings and seeing the uproar going on, Ranma sighed, "Guess I'll go hunt down my wives."
"I should probably get on that myself, can't get to far behind you after all." Herb paused for a moment while he thought about something, "Any advice?"
Ranma chuckled and linked his hands behind his head, "Take a bath together and get drunk. Seems to have worked for me." Waving the other man away, both went their separate ways. Herb to the Musk and his guards, all of which were watching the Phoenix with a new respect. Ranma himself was nearly mobbed by Phoenix and Amazon who wanted to congratulate him or ask questions. Some of the bolder Amazons offered challenges that he quickly refused. He knew better than to add more problems to himself. He angled his way to Jeeves who was fielding some questions from Herb's own chamberlain, "Jeeves, know where my wives got to?"
Jeeves turned to his King and bowed deeply, "Sire I believe they are touring the village at the moment."
Nodding Ranma readied himself for flight, "Alright, I'll go hunt them down." Extending out his magical senses, he locked on to Usagi and leapt. Wings forming in a instant, he was up and away towards the village itself. Being able to fly was such a cheat.
Not far away Shampoo was leading the way as Akane and Usagi listened to the girl talk about her childhood in the village. Usa had run off with Ling-ling and Lung-lung almost at the start of their trip, Kiima and Setsuna walking after them. Shampoo however was beginning to angle away from the village proper and had mind to introduce the girls to the outdoor bath. Though the particular one she wanted to visit was a bit away and more, private.
They were however about to be interrupted. "Shampoo!" All three women stopping and turning, Shampoo and Akane sighed in unison as Mousse was bounding towards them, glasses no where to be seen. "Shampoo my love you've returned!"
Shampoo pulled one of her chui free, "Good thing no Phoenix here to see this, could cause incident."
Akane cracked her knuckles, "I thought you talked to him?"
"I did, duck to to stubborn."
As Mousse got with reach and leapt to glomp onto who he thought was Shampoo, somehow mistaking Usagi this time who tried to back away. They all missed the falling form of Ranma. Said man drove Mousse into the ground with his feet, a crater forming underneath them. Limbs twitching and moaning in pain, Mousse was out like a light within a moment. Shrugging, Ranma released his wings and stood up completely, "Heya. Miss me?"
Usagi jumped forward to be caught by him in a princess carry, "You're always there when we need you."
"I mean, you could have pounded him, all of you."
"Better if husband do it. Less problems that way."
"You are quite correct about that granddaughter." Everyone jumping slightly at Cologne being in their midst, Ranma himself decided he would have to figure out how she did that one day. Jumping off of Mousse and putting Usagi down next to Shampoo to stand, Ranma hooked a thumb at his downed rival.
"Should we deal with him?"
Cologne shook his head, "No no, I'll deal with him. He was instructed harshly not to interfere. I'm glad he at least held on until after the talks." Walking along the path and grabbing the boy by a leg the old woman looked back at the teens. "I see you're headed towards the hot springs. Please enjoy them, I'll send your guard and daughter along if I happen to run into them." Laughing and turning away to drag the boy back to where he belonged, the meddling woman left.
Shampoo just giggled as she grabbed hold of Ranma and started walking towards a wooded area not far away, "Hopefully no one else at this hot spring tonight." The sun was starting to fall, though with Ranma here they all weren't worried about the chill night air.
Usagi was still in wonder of the village around them. She had never been out in the wilderness like this. The air was so clean and things seemed slower, calmer. More in tune with nature. Maybe this was something she needed to remember, that her Kingdom should also be in tune with nature. As much as they had the technology to change it….she wondered if the other worlds would have survived better if they had done that? "A hot soak does sound good right now."
Akane nodded, leaning into Ranma's other side, "Plus I would like some time to catch up, maybe enjoy my own batch of, cookies." Giggling at Ranma's disgruntled look she linked her hand with his.
"I'm really never living that down ever, am I?"
Usagi smiled, "Blame future you."
"I'm blaming my current wives."
Akane mulled that over, "You know, I'm actually happy you call us your wives." Seeing the others look at her, she explained herself. "I mean…uh…it's like you're really accepting us, accepting this. It isn't just because your people made an assumption." She held onto his hand a bit tighter and smiled as he squeezed back in return.
Ranma nodded, "Well. You all know I love you. And, I should probably get to making it official properly back home, but yeah. You're my wives. Long life or short, I couldn't think of giving this life up for anything. I would never want to lose you."
Shampoo smiled gently, "You no lose us airen."
Usagi nodded, "You're stuck with me for eternity buster. And I come with perks."
Akane and Shampoo looked at the girl who twirled ahead of them, "Perks?"
Usagi winked, "I do have a court full of lonely girlfriends."
"You said you'd make them wait though!" Akane did however think about how she could work her new found, interest, into this however.
"As long as they know Shampoo and Akane come first." Shampoo didn't mind new opportunities for fun.
Ranma himself just sighed, "Are we trying to repopulate the moon here?"
Usagi just giggled again, "You can try?"
Sighing as the girls with Shampoo in the lead, her place at Ranma's side taken up by Usagi, led him off to the springs. Of course true to form they were able to have some time to themselves before they were interrupted. Usa and everyone tagging along with her finally showing up at cologne's direction some time later.
Ranma sighed as he once more had a small towel over his eyes, Usa, Ling-ling and Lung-Lung animatedly chatting away about something they had done earlier within the village. It sounded suspiciously like they had been pranking various boys throughout the village. Not far away Setsuna was resting in a relaxed position while his three wives relaxed together not far away from her. Kiima was the only one not getting in the water and it was starting to bother Ranma.
"Kiima, come and get in. We're in a friendly village and we are guests, everything will be fine."
"I couldn't my lord, it would be improper."
Rolling his eyes though she couldn't see it, he motioned over to Setsuna, "Just like her, you're welcome here, just get in and relax a little. The water feels real good."
Wanting to argue some more, Kiima finally folded as Usa turned and waved for her to join them. Relenting and disrobing the dusky skinned woman finally joined the group in the springs. Luxuriating in the warm waters for a moment, she still maintained a safe distance from everyone. Setsuna however was having none of it and summoning her usual tray of saki from her stuff space, she floated it towards the woman after taking a small bottle for herself. "You should relax among friends."
Kiima looked at the alcohol warily, "I'm just a guard, I could never…in the presence of a Kami."
Ranma sighed again, "It's fiiine, look see?" Adding some magic to the water to float the tray towards himself, he used nothing but his chi senses to feel for it before he grabbed a bottle for himself and floating it back towards Kiima. "You don't have to, but you can if you'd like. I want you to be able to relax. It's just us. No need to be so tense here."
Kiima considered his words. She had said she was willing to do anything for her lord. Taking a bottle and giving thanks, she drank from it slowly. She was still a guard but perhaps relaxing in times of peace would not be so bad.
Akane looked up to smile through the treetops to watch the stars for a moment. She could somewhat understand Ranma's love for the open road. It was peaceful and pleasant here. There was nothing urgent to accomplish, no school to worry about or father's expectations to live up to. It was just her and her friends and her love. This was something she could get used to. "You know, I think the last time we really spent some real time here in the village was the nanban mirror fiasco."
Shampoo nodded with a giggle, "Seeing grandmother all young was something."
That perked Setsuna's interest, "What's this about a mirror?"
Akane took a moment to explain how the Happosai had stolen a magic mirror long ago from Cologne and used it to travel back in time to this very village. Ranma and the others chimed in at points, Shampoo herself still slightly agitated at the older grandmaster. They were all somewhat unprepared for the usually quiet Setsuna to chuckle. "It was a crazy adventure though, and pretty fun to learn about their past."
"I'm sure. However…" Reaching somewhere, Setsuna produced an exact copy of the nanban. "Did the mirror look something like this?" Getting shocked gasps from everyone, Setsuna pulled free several more, "I'm guessing it did?" Putting them all away except for one back in her stuff space it was Akane who asked how she had the mirror, and copies. "Well, I am the time senshi. My domain is the protection of the time gates and the timeline I reside in."
Shampoo raised a hand, "Time gates?"
Setsuna nodded, "Yes. Time travel can get a little, odd, even at the best of times. And technically I must always attend to the gates at all times. A long time ago I made a set of mirrors that allowed me to continue my duties and view the time stream while I was out and about." Holding up the last mirror, she changed it's form into several different shapes. A compact, a silver square hand mirror, a full length wall mirror, and then back again.
Ranma however came to a different conclusion, "You made something that allowed you to be lazy."
"Eh, well…" Chuckling the woman couldn't refute that as she put the mirror away. "I've, lost a few over the years, but they don't really allow major changes to the timeline anyway, so I didn't bother finding them."
"Considering my sister broke one, I'm glad it's a minor thing." Akane remembered Nabiki stepping on the one they had found, unintentionally breaking it. "Also, Ranma, we should go visit my sisters soon. I know Kasumi misses you."
Giving the girl a thumbs up Ranma agreed, "Sure. Plus we can give your dad the news as well."
Usagi clapped, "Oh road trip, can I come?"
"After we deal with your family."
"Aw poo." Getting laughs from everyone else. The fell into a comfortable silence. At least until Usa covered her mouth and yawned loudly, which clued in the rest of the older teens if was time for bed. Usagi and Shampoo looked at the younger girls with knowing looks before rising out of the water themselves. "Com'on Usa, let's get back to the ship."
"I'm sleeping with you."
"That's fine, as long as you don't fall asleep in the water." Usagi got to helping Usa out of the spring while Shampoo collected the twins. Together the four women dressed and prepared to go.
Setsuna smiled and rose as well, "I'll take my leave as well, might as well look after them."
Ranma waved them all off, "I'll be along in a bit."
Akane winked at the other girls, "Same, the stars look nice out tonight." Shampoo however noticed that the other wife wasn't watching the stars, but the space between Kiima and Ranma.
Kiima rolled her head from side to side, "I shall stay, in case my King has need of me. Please watch the princess in my absense." Getting a smirk and a nod from Setsuna, the girls all cleared out one by one.
Ranma however felt Akane float his way, pressing her form into his side. Feeling her breath on his ear sent a shiver through his body, "Ranmaaa." Her voice was soft, barely a whisper.
"Hmm?"
"You know, I'm pretty sure Kiima still has that curse of my form…." Smiling impishly, the girl took his towel away and opened his view of the stars, "Ever thought of taking a pair of twins?"
"You'll all corrupted."
"It's your fault, you're to good at what you do."
"Uh huh, and what's that?"
Pressing herself more firmly into him while watching the slightly out of it Kiima drink, she trailed her tongue along the rim of his ear, "Breaking us." It was going to be a long night, Ranma decided.
-b-
In the morning the Phoenix and the Amazon were saying their goodbyes. Shampoo had her sisters in a tight hug while Ranma was watching over his people load up and board the artful palanquin. Cologne hopped up next to him with a smile on her face.
"I still hear lots of little feet running around."
"You're getting old, senile even, go get your hearing checked."
"Still so mean to a delicate old woman like me."
Ranma grinned down at the shorter woman, "Delicate? You? I'll send Happosai your way."
Spitting off to the side Cologne cackled, "You really have grown up a bit haven't you sonny. Take care, of yourself, of you family. And visit more often would you, you liven up the place."
Ranma stepped back and bowed to her, "Wouldn't dream of anything else. And we will. You know I can't sit in one place for to long." Standing, he watched as the elder bowed in return before bouncing her way back towards the rest of her people, many lined up to watch them go.
Shampoo and the others finally made their way on board, pulling Ranma along as well. Usa bounced along as she looked eventually to her father, "Should we make it flashy?"
Ranma thought it over before nodding, "Why not, it'll be fun." He was already walking to the head of the ship again, while Jeeves issued warnings. No one disturbed the slightly dazed but smiling Akane and Kiima sitting together next to the guard rails. One of the guards pulled up the boarding steps, the everyone was ready to get underway.
Usagi rushed forward to join them, "If we're gonna make it flashy, let's really get into it."
Ranma said nothing as his hands gripped the rails and magic began to seep out of him. Though his smile as he looked back at her was enough for her. Usagi placed a hand over one of his, white and silver light coalescing and mixing with his own.
On the ground the spectators gasped as first large red and orange wings burst into existence. Dwarfing the previous pair by three times at least, they flapped several times before the ship lifted off gently. Once high enough and beginning to turn, the wings expanded again, gaining crystalline edges while the ship itself began to trail fire as they arced up and away at greater speeds. Cologne and many of the Amazons could only gape and wonder, just what could the Phoenix do if they decided not to be so peaceful?
Usagi however just giggled as she pulled her magic away and relaxed at Ranma's side, their speed declining to something the flying Phoenix didn't have to struggle to keep up with. The King himself let out a laugh of joy. "I'll never get over flying." It was like a true form of freedom for him. Looking around the assembled people, he watched as Usa took flight herself, pink wings reflecting light. Next to him Usagi was tilting her head this way and that as she watched Usa.
"I wonder…" Transforming into a different senshi outfit, this one with a few shades of red, translucent fair like wings shimmered into existence behind her. Magic doing as she wished, Usagi took off after Usa who smiled brightly and danced in the sky with her mother.
"Well that's new." Ranma watched them both for a while, several of the guards keeping a close eye on the pair. Hearing shuffling feet coming towards him Ranma looked down to see Jeeves again holding his hands as he walked up to the King.
"A word, my lord." Seeing Ranma nod, he brought up something the people were concerned about. "Our population, you've mentioned now a few times you would like to expand. Is there a reason behind that?"
Ranma shook his head, "Not really. I just figured if the people no longer need me to regulate the mountain's temperature, then they might enjoy spreading their wings a bit. I wanna give them the option to do what makes them happy."
With a relieved sigh Jeeves nodded, "Due to issues with some of the previous Phoenix Kings that made population growth hard. But if you wish to allow the people to grow as they like it will be met with good cheer."
Ranma grinned as he realized he could put that plan in motion then, "Good, then when we return I'll get to work on expanding the living spaces, I'll just need to get an idea of what people like before I begin."
Seeing his lord beginning to fall into his own thoughts, Jeeves turned back to issue orders to the others. The next few days were likely to be busy but he would make sure his King could focus on what was important. He would be a good functionary and tackle the small things. Now where was that short boy, he needed to fly ahead and warn the palace they were returning.

I'd like to say I have a reason for everything, but until I bring the group back to Japan this'll be fluffy setup. Thanks to a reviewer for giving me the idea with Setsuna. Might have a new running gag there.
