About three days passed, and Coming out of rehab was the succubus pop star herself, Verosika Mayday. Yes, she had gone out of rehab after one whole month of torture inside rehab. Yes, she couldn't take anotehr day inside that clinic, but this time, she did her actual time instead of paying someone to get out of there early.
Perhaps she felt like a whole new Succubus after doing the proper time in the mental rehabilitation clinic.
Yes, Verosika couldn't be any more free than she was before. The sound of roaring fans outside the facility were screaming and cheering at the top of their lungs as their beloved singer had finally got out. Of course l, for her own protection, three muscular hellhound bodyguards were at the front of the entrance to protect her from any fans that might be too rough with her. "Yes, I am back, motherfuckers!" Verosika announced. "Back and better than ever!"
The crowd began to roar louder than ever. Verosika loved hearing her adoring fans cheer and praise her and her talents. Freedom was like trying a new flavor of ice cream that looks good and tastes exactly what one would think it would taste like.
Despite being out of the place, her first priority was to look for Cody and beg for his forgiveness again. She had stay away from him long enough; a whole month to be exact; and she thought maybe he had given the proper amount of space from her.
She still remembered where the kid was living at, and wondered if it would be a good idea to beg for his forgiveness once more. Only one way to find out. This rehab did her some good after all, for she didn't feel like craving alcoholic beverages like she used to, and she felt rather... happier, though she still has a big grudge against Blitzo.
As happy as she was being released, she still felt guilty over kidnapping Cody a while before. Verosika had no idea that the poor boy went through so much trauma. In a way, Cody owed her for saving him from Martha and her fucking deranged family.
"Hope he's doing OK at least." Verosika said in her head. "Maybe I should look for him."
Cody was listening to some Tesla on his mp3 player and he was enjoying his time at home. Yes, just relaxing and hanging out at the apartment complex. While laying on the couch, he was having a banana and some orange juice to drink.
That was quite the sleepover at Satan's place... even though he accidentally came across an infamous African warlord getting his just desserts, and the Memory Skull that showed Cody some of the most evil men in history being sent to eternal torment. The movies were fun to watch and the pizza was yummy.
Blitzo was having a smoke on the patio, and was glad that he wasn't forced to have a booty call from Stolas last night. Admittedly, he was ok with having his way with Stolas, but Stolas can be really clingy and creepy at times, too much for even Blitzo to handle. Still, it doesn't mean he won't do an orgy with him, Moxxie, and Millie. He looked at the zooming cars and had a sneaky idea.
The imp got himself a stink bomb dropped it from many stories below and it exploded on one of the cars, making a large number of drivers crash and collide into many other vehicles and various objects.
"Ha ha ha! I wish I can see their faces! So fucking priceless!" Blitzo exclaimed as he heard more car crashes from his little prank. Good thing there weren't as mouth rules down here as there was on Earth, otherwise he would have been arrested for this kind of prank.
He heard the doorbell rang and Loona was the one to answer it. What she saw caught her by surprise. "Verosika?!" She exclaimed, getting herself in a fighting position and ready to mail the pop star to minced meat.
"What?!" Blitzo heard his adopted daughter before rushing in. Cody saw this and got off the couch to see what was going on. "You're back?! What the fuck are you doing here, you stupid cunt? I thought you were in the funny farm?"
"Oh shut up, shit stain." Verosika rudely retorted. "And it wasn't a funny farm."
"Blitzo, easy on the language." Loona chided him.
"Sorry."
"I thought you were in the funny farm, Verosika." Cody pointed
"No, no, no, it wasn't a funny farm. It was a mental rehabilitation clinic." Verosika pointed. "And as for getting me out, I've been doing so well, even though rehab is very boring. And I did my time in there. So now, I am a different Verosika. A whole new me."
Cody looked a little unsure about this because of his past experience with her. "So are you going to kidnap Cody again?" Blitzo said, "because I will use this dagger to spice open your two-"
"No! I am not going to kidnap Cody." Verosika frowned before giving the kid a look of remorse. "I just want to talk to him and apologize."
Loona and Blitzo looked a little unsure, but remember what Cody said about this. Now he would be willing to hear her out. "ok." Said Cody flatly. "Besides, rehab must have been so boring for you to experience."
"Ugh, it was. And I hope to never go back there again." The Succubus complained. "Cody, please let me talk to you. I know you probably still hate me, but give me a chance."
"Ok. I'll hear you."
Verosika smiled. "Thank you so much, sweetie." Then she looked at the hellhound and imp. "But I would like to talk with you in private if that's ok with you."
"Fat chance." Said Loona. "We leave you with him so you can kidnap him? Never gonna happen."
"I won't do that anymore, I promise." The Succubus pleaded.
"Look you have to promise me that you won't hurt me or kidnap me when we talk."
"You have my word."
Blitzo and Versoika reluctantly complied and left the living room. Both Cody and the Succubus sat on the couch together so she can speak.
"I'm very sorry about all that before. " Versoika began talking. "I didn't know your parents... you know, and I wasn't trying to traumatize you."
"Uh-huh."
"And I give you my deepest condolences to you about your parents." She gently clasped her hands on Cody's right hand. "I really, really want us to be friends, and I want to start all over with how we met."
"Well I did say trust is a very easy thing to break."
"I remember." Verosika bowed her head as she felt guilty about the ordeal. "And you're right. Trust is very fragile. But I promise to help build it back by earning it. I'll do anything to make us friends."
"So... you really want to make it up to me?" Cody asked
"Yes! Please, just name your price. What do you want from me? Money, fame, fortune?"
"No, I don't want any money from you." Cody admitted. "But I'll think of what you can do to make it up to me. For one thing; never kidnap me again, and give me more space."
"Absolutely. You have my word, Cody." Versoika smiled. "I am done with all that, I promise."
"Do you promise?"
"Cross my heart. And, you kinda... owe me,"
"Owe you?"
"Yeah from that crazy family rush held you for ransom? I arrived to save you from them. I risked my life for you. Can't you see how chivalrous and noble that is?"
"Fair point." said Cody. "You did save me from Martha. But you're not going to make me listen to one of your albums, are you? I heard your music before meeting you and they're not my favorite."
"I get it." Verosika said. "Can't please everyone." she looked away from him, and had a sympathetic look on her face. "So, look, i understand if you still won't forgive me just yet. I mean, i kinda deserve the hate you can give me a little bit."
"I don't hate you." Cody said. "I'm just not that big a fan of your music."
"That's fine."
"But my grandpa told me that there's no point on being mad at someone or hating someone forever. It just makes you a very angry and bitter person for the rest of your life." he looked away from her. "And i know Blitzo didn't... treat you so well when he was your boyfriend Verosika. But you can't keep trying to ruin his life forever."
"I would listen to him if I were you, Verosika." Blitzo had a smug look on his face at her.
Verosika just snarled at him: "Don't push it you little gremlin." then looking back at Cody. "It's easier said than done. Especially with what your adopted daddy put my through, Cody."
"Technically, Blitzo is not my dad, Verosika." Cody pointed. "It's just Loona that adopted me."
"Ah. I was just making a point. But i try to move forward. And i prove it to you by getting out of rehab and not drinking as much. Please Cody, i don' ask for total absolution, just your forgiveness."
"I do kinda owe you for helping me and my friends from Martha." Cody admitted. "So, i guess i can forgive you. But I still-" before he could finish however, he felt himself being hugged by Verosika like he was her own stuffed animal.
"Thank you so much, Cody!" said Verosika. "I promise to treat you nicely. And i will never kidnap you again." then she let him go.
"But, it doesn't mean we're exactly friends." said Cody. Just an acquaintance."
"I understand." said Verosika. "And i heard that you like places like Burger King and McDonald's. So for that," she pulled out a hundred dollar Burger King gift card from inside her fur coat. "Ta-da!"
"Wow." Cody said. "Thanks Verosika."
"You're welcome, sweetie. Don't spend it all in one place."
