'Mr Tracy? Scott?'

Scott blinked at the person who seemed to be towering above him. He blinked more but the blur didn't seem to resolve itself. He frowned.

'Vir'l?'

There was a chuckle, a bit nervous he thought. The person shifted suddenly so that they weren't towering over him but rather were now at the same level.

Ah, he must be sitting on the ground then. That made more sense, there weren't many people who could literally tower over him.

Another chuckle, this time Scott could hear amusement, and he realised he must have spoken out loud.

'Come on, Scott. Let's get you up and over to the medics.'

'M'fine.'

It was a blatant lie. He was still sitting on the ground and the thought of trying to stand up…nope, he was quite alright here, thank you very much.

'You can't stay here.'

'M'fine, Virgil. Not even a scratch. I'll get up in a minute.'

He could almost hear and feel the disbelief as the blur moved back slightly.

'Hun, if you're looking for someone to tell you that you don't need a hospital you need to keep looking, because it's not going to be me. Get your ass to the emergency room.'

It was only then, as a pair of strong arms helped him up, that Scott realised he wasn't talking to Virgil at all. He blinked more as the change in orientation made him nauseous and the arms held him tight.

They held him tightly until he'd been marched over to Two and the makeshift infirmary they'd set up there.

This time the voice definitely was his brother's, who chatted to whomever it was that had assisted him here. Scott closed his eyes as he was helped to lie back, allowing the conversation to flow around him.

'Thanks, Cass.'

'Anytime, Virgil. I hope Scott's alright.'

'He'll be fine. Got an extra thick skull, he has.'

Scott thought he should say something about that but the words escaped him.

A hand on his cheek and Scott opened eyes he wasn't aware he'd closed, and found himself staring into a pair of brown ones. At least he assumed they were brown, his vision wasn't quite clear still.

'Time to check your pupils, big brother.'

'M'fine.'

'Uh huh.'

Scott didn't know why he bothered saying so as Virgil carried on regardless, blinding him with the penlight.

'You just got upgraded to a flight home with us!'

Blinking furiously and trying to remember why that was a bad idea, Scott didn't notice Virgil help him recline, nor did he notice the pain relief his brother gave him.

He was asleep before he remembered why he didn't want Gordon flying One home…
