What Harm Ever Came From Reading a Book?

...

Hermione was both concerned and excited to see Harry spending longer and longer times in the library. Devouring books at such a rapid rate. It at least got him to stop brooding over whatever scheme Draco was enacting.

hat concerned her though was the rate at which he was learning. Mastering both French and Latin within a few days. Not to mention the increasing distance he as keeping from everyone except herself. Ron had tried to get him to come to Hogsmeade last weekend only for Harry to coldly stare at him until Ron walked away complaining about how creepy Harry had become.

Hermione finally decided to confront Harry about what was going on. "Harry. I need to talk to you."

"Good Hermione. I was wondering when you would approach me." He replied calmly carefully shutting the ancient tome he had been reading. She was not entirely certain but she thought the pages had been stained with might have been blood.

"Well several people have noticed how odd you've been behaving, even for you." She tried to joke but he merely stared at her calmly, "So uh what's going on?"

"Where are we Hermione?"

"We're in the library?" she replied confused.

"Yes the library. The seat of all power in this castle. A resource that you had barely scratched even. A holy repository of ancient knowledge that is readily and easily available to us." He smiled giving her a Kubrick stare.

Swallowing she said, "Well. I'm glad to see you appreciating the library more Harry. What caused you to change your mind like this?"

"Over the summer I found a book in the Black family library. De Vermis Mysteriis. It opened my mind to a much larger world. A world that I want to share with you my queen." He said rising to float over the table.

Stepping back she cleared her throat. "The what?"

"The Mysteries of the Worm. Written by Ludvig Prinn. An archmage Hermione. A man who found a way to expand his mind beyond the confines of the mortal realm." He whispered but she somehow still heard him clearly. "Please join me my queen. Join me on this path and we shall achieve greatness."

Looking into his eyes which had turned solid black she felt her mind swirling, falling into those twin voids.m Something twisted and broke within herself as she knelt before Harry looking up at him with pitch black eyes as well. "Please teach me these secrets Harry, I am your queen."

...

In a far distant part of the castle a small blonde girl began to shiver as she felt stellar alignments shift. "Oh no. What have you done now Harry?"
