8:38 a.m.

Harry hadn't noticed but as soon as Fleur had engulfed him in a hug he had nearly instantly fallen asleep. His head was resting against her shoulder and his body was entirely over hers. His cheeks flushed with heat as he felt Fleur's chest rise and fall beneath him rhythmically, she had apparently fallen asleep as well.

Harry pushed himself up gently so he wouldn't disturb Fluers sleep. He groggily hovered over her looking at her peacefully sleeping angelic face.

'She must have been more stressed over the O.W.L.'s than I realized,' Harry thought silently.

As Harry smiled gently at his friend he began to shift off of her so that she could sleep peacefully. Maybe he could go down to the dining hall and bring her some food.

"Non, ne pars pas," Fleur said with a whining voice as she grabbed Harry around the middle and rolled to the side with him.

Harry was now in a difficult position his back was currently to the back of the couch and Fleur was pressing on him from the front, her hair working as a silver curtain. Harry felt rather small compared to the fourteen year old girl pinning him in place. Harry may have been a boy but she was a few good years older than him. Fleur's healthy diet and dueling regiment greatly added to her physique. If Harry had to guess Fleur was about 164 cm (5'4") and maybe 48 kg (105 lbs).

While Harry was three years younger and had an abysmal diet and little to no physical training. If he had to guess he would say he was about 139 cm (4'7") and maybe 29 kg (65 lbs).

Harry could safely say Fleur was much larger than him, not that he would ever say that to her. These facts made it abundantly clear Harry wouldn't be able to get out of Fleur's hold with brute force, and wether or not he wanted to admit it he was beginning to feel very claustrophobic. The only thing keeping him from hyperventilating, screaming, and thrashing was the odd calming smokey smell Fleur always seemed to radiate.

'I really wish I could do that thing Septima and Mrs. Delacour can do to get out of this.'

"Maman tu m'as fait un sandwich."

Abruptly Fleur's head swiveled and leaned towards Harry's neck. Without warning she gently bit down on Harry's neck making him flush even further and an unwanted reaction to arise in his lower region.

Fleur's P.O.V

*snap*

Fleur jerked awake not noticing she had dropped slightly, as if there had been something beneath her. Looking around she realized she was in the Ravenclaw common room and she was completely alone.

Fleur jerked her head looking around remembering she had fallen asleep with Harry as she had comforted him through his sobs. He had apparently woken up and gone down to breakfast.

looking down at herself she blushed slightly knowing Harry had seen her in her pajamas.

I must 'ave looked so disheveled!

Fleur hurriedly made her way back up to the girls dormitories so she could get properly dressed for the day. Perhaps she would have enough time to converse with Harry before her school day became to busy.

Harry's P.O.V

Harry was panting very hard his bare feet cold on the flagstone of the castle. He was standing outside of the dining hall with no earthly idea how he had gotten there.

One minute he was trapped beneath Fleur and the next thing he knew he was standing red faced beside the entrance to the great hall with no shoes.

"Potter. Why are you nearly an hour late for breakfast," a familiar voice said from Harry's side," and why, pray tell, are you barefoot?"

He really didn't want to confirm his theory on who this was but it would only make the situation worse if he didn't turn to address the person.

So, audibly gulping, Harry turned to address Professor Snape," I was just in the Ravenclaw common room sir, and then the next minute I was down here. I don't know where my shoes went."

Professor Snape stared at Harry with a very dry look that conveyed he thought he was a moron.

'Well there goes any respect he might have had for my intelligence,' Harry thought glumly.

"What were you doing before you... appeared here then, Potter," Professor Snape said with an amused smile.

Harry's face flushed as he stammered out an answer," I-I was stuck to the common room couch. I think an older student used a sticking charm on me. I was panicking to get out and then I thought It would be nice if I could do the disappearing thing Ms. Septima does. Then I just appeared here."

Professor Snape's eyes searched Harry with intense scrutiny. This greatly unnerved Harry. He had seen the professor scrutinize other students like this and they always looked as afraid as Harry felt.

'It's fine I've had it much worse with Uncle Vernon. This staring is nothing. And compared to Aunt Petunias scrutiny this was nothing,' Harry thought straightening his back and looking the professor in the eyes.

Frowning Professor Snape continued to scrutinize Harry before abruptly walking past him," get your shoes next time Potter, and a better excuse next time you forget them."

"Y-yes professor!"

Harry hurried his way to the end of the Ravenclaw table drawing a few people's stares and the mocking laughter of Draco Malfoy. As Harry sat down in his usual spot at the end of the table he saw a small figure dart up from beneath the table and sit on the table in front of him.

"Where have you been you little menace," Harry asked Cobalt as he stroked under his chin, eliciting a purr from the kitten.

"Mroooow," he said scratching at a letter tied loosely around his neck.

"What have you got there," Harry asked untying the note from Cobalts neck.

Dear Harry,

I know I wasn't able to talk to ye and your friend Ms. Delacour on the boat ride over. I just wanted to talk to ye about your parents and I've seen ye with Ms. Delacour so I figured it'd be nice for ye both to get out of the castle for a change and have some tea.

I would've asked ye sooner but ye seemed busy adjustin' and all. Let me know what ye decide by sendin' yer little beasty back 'round with a letter.

If ya decide to come 'round I'll collect ye both in the entrance hall at six. Be sure to wait for me, students aren't allowed out unsupervised that late.
Cheers ,

Rubeus Hagrid

Harry thought for a moment trying to put a name to a face. And then it clicked, Hagrid was the gamekeeper at Hogwarts. The same giant man who had reassured Harry about the giant squid in the lake not being aggressive.

The man had seemed decent enough but Harry hadn't been able to properly think at the time after waking up from one of his worse nightmares. It couldn't hurt, he seemed nice and although he would need to ask Fleur if she would be willing to go as well. So Harry penned a letter letting Hagrid know he would be coming down as long as Fleur said she would go as well.

Harry really needed to stretch his legs outside anyway.

Sure, Harry liked Hogwarts but he hadn't been out of the castle since he first started school. Although he did have a joint flying lesson with all of the other first year students, so he'd be able to go outside that way. It was, however, for a class so Harry wouldn't just be able to relax.

Attaching the letter to Cobalt he told him to head off to deliver the letter to Hagrid. When Cobalt didn't move and just stared at him for a second Harry was confused. That was until he saw the annoyed look the kitten was giving him.

" If you deliver the letter with no problems I'll give you four pieces of my bacon and pet you for thirty minutes straight."

This made the kittens ears perk up before he languidly stretched yawning all the while. Then he jumped off the table heading out to find Hagrid.

'So dramatic,' Harry thought as he shook his head chuckling slightly.

Turning back to the table Harry gathered a variety of dishes that looked appetizing to him for his breakfast.

"Where are your shoes," Lisa Turpin asked him as he began eating his assembled dishes.

"No idea," Harry said cheerfully.

9:00 a.m.

Several Minutes had passed by the time Harry spotted Fleur making her way into the dining hall. She looked very put out when she entered most likely because she had just woken up and made her way down as fast as she could.

Her eyes roamed the Ravenclaw table until her sights landed on Harry making their eyes meet. An unspoken question clear to Harry in her gaze.

'Are you okay?'

Harry smiled nodding at her motioning for her to come sit down.

Fleur's P.O.V

Harry seemed much more at ease than when they had been in the common room. He was happily conversing with Lisa about something with a funny grin on his face. She seemed to be looking at his feet for some reason.

It looked like their talk had greatly helped her friend. And he was in much higher spirits now.

As Fleur made her way to within earshot of the pairs conversation Fleur found it was rather odd.

"-at I mean is you should go back up and get shoes."

"Why? I'm already here eating and if I took the time to go back up breakfast would already be over," Harry said as he bit into a biscuit.

"Fleur please tell Harry he needs shoes," Lisa said turning to Fleur as she approached.

"Zey are rather important," Fleur said raising an eyebrow.

Harry groaned," not you too. Look I'm already down here and I don't have shoes. I'll get them after we're done eating."

Shrugging Fleur decided Harry was old enough to decide for himself. Moving on she sat next to Harry and began pulling any French dishes near her to eat. She just couldn't handle how heavy all of the English dishes were in calories.

"Why are you barefoot 'Arry?

"Just ended up that way somehow," he said not meeting her gaze with a red face.

"Oui? And 'ow did that 'appen?"

Harry looked at Lisa nervously with a sideways glance and leaned toward Fleur," could I please tell you when there's less people around?"

"Alright, but I will keep you to zat promise."

Nodding Harry continued to roll around bits of his food with a fork," Hagrid asked if we would want to have tea with him later around six. I said I would but I'd have to ask if you would want to go."

"Is 'Agrid ze large man from ze boats?"

"Yeah. He said he wanted to talk about my parents and that he saw we were friends so he wanted to meet you too."

" I see no problem wiz this. 'E seemed cheerful enough. But I do still want to talk about ze things you said about your... family," Fleur said with a deadly instensity.

Harry stared at his plate with a sad expression," I'll answer some of your questions but... there are just some things I'm not ready to talk about. I hope you understand, it doesn't mean I don't trust you, I just can't."

Fleur desperately wanted to argue, but she had seen first hand how opening up as much as he did early affected Harry. This put her in a difficult position she wanted to know everything that was causing Harry such pain but it seemed even bringing it up caused him just as much pain.

Fleurs head was hurting just thinking about how she could even begin to discuss the subject with Harry.

'I suppose I will just 'ave to go forward wiz my questions, and understand it will be difficult for 'Arry," Fleur thought her heart growing heavy with the turmoil it would surely cause him.

"Attention," Dumbledore called from the head table looking out at all of the students with a twinkle in his eye," our lovely breakfast is coming to an end and I must say it has been especially delicious. However we must say goodbye to the happy buzz of morning chatter and move on to classes and other duties."

At this many groans sounded throughout the hall, but many students began standing and exiting as plates both empty and full started to vanish.

Harry too stood, his feet barely audible as he stepped lightly on the stone of the hall.

"What is your first class today 'Arry?"

"I have a joint flying lesson with all of the first years at ten 'o clock."

"Hmm, zat sounds much more interesting zan my class. I will be in Divination wiz 'Ufflepuff, in truth I do not 'ave the nack for the art myself."

"I've heard older students talking about Divination, honestly I'm surprised so many Ravenclaws find it a waste of time. Barely any of them keep it in their sixth year. I'm not to interested in it but I'm surprised a large majority of Ravenclaws aren't even a little fascinated."

"True enough, now please go get shoes 'Arry or you will catch a cold."

Chuckling Harry parted ways with Fleur heading up to the Ravenclaw common room.

Harry's P.O.V

10:15 a.m.

Hogwarts Flying Training Ground

Many students chattered and stood off in groups. Strangely almost no students from different houses were conversing with each other.

Harry frowned. While he may not be the most social person he did find it odd mostly only students from the same houses were talking to one another.

"Hey! Harry, why are you so late," Ron asked as he approached Hermione on his heels clearly annoyed with him for some reason.

" Hi Ron, hi Hermione. I had to go back up to the Ravenclaw common room to get my shoes."

Ron looked at Harry oddly, and Hermione gave him a stern gaze," why did you leave your shoes in your common room? Honestly Harry, I thought you new better," Hermione scalded.

"Aw, leave 'em alone Hermione honestly you sound like my mum."

"And you," Hermione said turning on Ron," you're not helping!"

Holding up his hands in surrender with an expression of fright Ron looked to Harry for help. Of course Harry immediately averted his gaze from Ron.

"Bloody Traitor!"

"Alright everyone," said a voice with authority," pick a broom, one per person, and settle down for flying lessons."

It seemed Ron had been saved by madam Hooch the flying teacher. Every student left their scattered groups to form orderly house lines. Ravenclaws were facing Hufflepuffs across from them, and Gryffindors were facing Slytherins who in tern were across from them.

Madam Hooch's severe hawk like eyes scanned each student, not allowing anyone to step out of line.

Except, of course; Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle who were all laughing at a round Gryffindor boy across from them who was very pink around the ears. The boy looked very close to tears and a few other Gryffindor boys were glaring back at the three snickering boys.

"Right now I want you all to get a firm stance next to your broom," at this her eyes scanned the rows of students watching each one closely," and now that you've got firm footing stick out your hand over the broom and command 'Up!'."

Harry, letting out a steady breath, looked down to his broom," Up!'" And just like that the broom wized up into his outstretched hand.

Goggling in amazement at the broom, Harry looked around at the others gathered and noticed they each had varying degrees of failure and success.

Ron was staring down at his broom wildly waving his hand over it yelling," Up! Up! Up, already!"

Hermione looking nervous was shakily saying ," U-Up," with little to no success.

The round Gryffindor boy Harry had seen earlier was shaking from head to toe clearly wanting to keep his feet on the ground.

To Harry's disappointment Draco Malfoy seemed to have gotten his broom after a bit of trouble getting it to jump up after a second yell.

After long awkward minutes of Harry waiting, everyone had managed to get their broom to respond and Madam Hooch was ready to continue.

"Alright! Has everyone gotten the feel for it? Good, now I want everyone to mount their broom and prepare to kick off. Now don't kick off to hard or you'll shoot forward just a gentle push and you'll hover then land back down."

Looking around Madam Hooch made sure everyone was paying close attention as she herself demonstrated, lightly pushing her feet off the ground and hovered in place, then leaned backwards letting her feet touch back down.

"Now when I blow my whistle I want you all to hover in place like I just demonstrated. Three, two, one," and once she finished counting she blew her whistle signaling everyone to begin.

It seemed for a few moments everything would go quite well as Harry himself had gotten a nack for hovering. It didn't last long once a "stray" clod of dirt hit the nervous Gryffindor boy in the eyes making him Yelp and zoom up and over the Slytherins. He rose higher and higher away from the crowd.

"Mr. Neville Longbottom," yelled madam Hooch pointing her wand in his direction," come down this instant!"

Unsurprisingly he didn't come back down. He was a fair distance up and away from the assembled students and he was only making things worse for himself by circling and pirouetting in the air.

Harry wasn't sure but he could swear he heard the boy yelling frantically about his eyes. Of course it was very understandable why he would be, but Harry didn't see why he would panic so much and lift himself dangerously high like he had.

Before Madam Hooch could do whatever it was she was preparing to do, Neville lurched into a sharp dive toward the assembled crowed. His feet nearly missed a few students heads as he passed by and passed over Madam Hooch brushing the shoulder of her robes almost bowling her over.

As Neville continued his blind path he hadn't realized he was sloping down at an angle his broom nose slightly angled down. If he wasn't careful he would...

And just as Harry was about to warn him the nose of Neville's broom touched the dirt and he flipped off of his broom landing with a sickening crunch arm first on the ground just a few feet away from the end of the Ravenclaw line where Harry was.

Neville slowly sat up from his slouch holding his arm to his chest whimpering the whole time. Harry rushed over to Neville pulling the boys sleeve back away from his arm slowly not wanting to disturb the injury.

As Harry looked at Neville's arm he saw that the boy had broken his arm near the middle of his forearm a piece of his bone was visibly making the skin jut out.

Grimicing Harry looked at Neville as more students gathered around the two," this is going to hurt Neville."

"W-what's going t-to hurt," he said through clenched teeth and watery eyes.

Harry lightly placed two thumbs on the middle of the bone that was visible and he gave Neville a sympathetic look," I've had to reset my bones a couple of times so I can tell you it will hurt but it's better than leaving it."

Neville looked at Harry in horror finally realizing what he was about to do. Harry could hear madam Hooch trying to approach the two boys in the middle of the assembled students.

"Count to three and then I'll set it."

"O-okay. One, tw-" and just as Neville began saying two Harry pushed the bone back into place with practiced ease. Neville turned a few interesting colors as he saw the bone snap back into place before he passed out worrying Harry, but he knew from experience how unpleasant it was to have a bone reset.

"Mr. Potter," Madam Hooch yelled as she finally broke through the crowd of students who were all looking at Harry with green faces," leave Mr. Longbottom alone this-"

Her prepared rant was cut short as she examined Neville's arm," you properly set it," she said in astonishment looking at Harry.

"You should probably take him to the nurse," Harry said blushing with a worried look on his face," I might have set the bone but I don't know if he'd be able to mend it on his own."

"O-of course I'll take him to the nurse Potter! The rest of you stay on the ground I don't want a repeat of this. If I see any of you off of the ground before I've given permission you'll be expelled faster than you can say Quidditch!"

As Madam Hooch picked Neville up she gave Harry one last look and then trudged her way up to the castle.

A quiet murmur fell over the students as everyone looked at Harry who was far to uncomfortable with all of the attention. Harry looked around at all of the students unsure what he should do, all of the eyes on him made him extremely uncomfortable and he really wished Fleur was here.

"You alright mate," Ron asked as he walked up to Harry, Hermione close behind him just as green in the face as the other students.

"I'm fine, I'm more worried about Neville. That was a pretty nasty fall."

"Harry, how did you know how to set Neville's broken arm," Hermione asked with a measured softness.

Harry looked very much like a deer caught in the headlights at Hermione's question, he hadn't been thinking past wanting to help Neville knowing that he could. If he didn't use his knowledge properly what kind of Ravenclaw would that make him?

"I uh, just know," Harry said hoping Hermione would just drop the subject.

"That was bloody brilliant! Did you hear the noise Neville's arm made, I mean don't get me wrong I feel really bad that happened to him but you were brilliant Harry," Ron said patting Harry on the back making the smaller boy blush and smile nervously.

Hermione looked like she still wanted to ask Harry many question, but she seemed to also be able to tell he really didn't want to answer them.

luckily Harry didn't have to find out if she'd actually give up on asking him questions.

"I see you're just as freakish as you look skeleton boy," said the pretentious voice of Draco Malfoy.

Turning around Harry looked at him with an expression of feigned surprise," a joke about how skinny I am? You have amazing powers of deduction... for someone whose hair looks like someone bleached a poor ferret to death."

Ron and a fair few other students from other houses, even a few Slytherins laughed at that remark, but it didn't go over so well with Malfoy and his goons Crabbe and Goyle.

"You watch your mouth Potter! You should show proper respect to your betters," Malfoy fumed going red in the face as Crabbe cracked his knuckles and Goyle seemed to be going cross eyed trying to look mean.

"Oh, I'll be sure to do that... I mean when someone like that shows up," at that statement Ron burst into laughter as he slapped at his knee.

Malfoy seemed to get redder before he schooled his face into a malicious grin," well I suppose you and I may be equals," Harry snorted at that," but Longbottom, on the other hand, is a disgrace who shouldn't even be allowed to call himself pureblood. Honestly it makes me retch to be put in the same category as him. I mean what sort of buffoon needs a remembrall," Malfoy said inquisitively holding up a large glass marble with smoke inside of it.

"Oi! That's Neville's remembrall he was goin on about it at the table during breakfast," said a dark skinned boy wearing Gryffindor robes.

"So not just a pompous git but a thief too? You're not making a great case for yourself Malfoy," Harry said looking at him with disdain.

"I didn't steal it from that fat lump, Potter. The idiot dropped it mid flight if you can call his drunken swaying in the air even that."

"If you're not a thief Malfoy, you'll give me that remembrall and toss off."

With a thoughtful expression Malfoy looked at Harry before smiling," you know Potter, I think I will give this to you," he said before mounting his broom and soaring up a good distance," but I think I'll leave it on the roof for you to collect!"

Gazing up at Malfoy with a measured look Harry gave thought to what he should do; if he mounted his broom a teacher could see him in the air and madam Hooch gave explicit warning what would happen if students did that, he could always try throwing something at Malfoy but then he would just fly higher.

If only there was a way to get the remembrall without having to fly up after Malfoy.

Oh, wait. Harry had magic.

A grin spread slowly across Harry's face as he withdrew his wand from his robes sleeve, and pointed it at Malfoy.

"Oh please Potter, what're you going to do shoot sparks at me!"

Hermione looked at him warily," Harry you're not going to knock him off his broom are you?"

"Expelliarmus," Harry said simply.

"What are you mumbling about down there Potter? Was that a dud sp-" and just as he was about to finish his snarky retort the remembrall was yanked forcibly out of Malfoy's hand shooting down to Harry's open palm.

"Quick and easy, thank you very much Malfoy," Harry yelled up at the other boy happily as Draco gapped down at him.

"Mr. Malfoy come down from there this instant," yelled an angry voice with a slight Scottish brogue.

"Oh that's the worst teacher he could've gotten," whispered Ron next to Harry.

A familiar woman with serious features and an authoritative stride walked farther onto the flying class field, her robes made her look larger than her small frame actually was. Professor McGonagall had stormed into the midst of the gathered students.

"I will say this once more Mr. Malfoy, come down this instant or you will receive a much worse punishment than you already have! That will be ten points from Slytherin do not make me ask again."

Harry didn't think he could've made a more right decision than coming to Hogwarts, but not getting on his broom at that very moment seemed to have been a close second. If for no other reason than the very expression Draco Malfoy was making at that very moment; he looked as if he had swallowed a whole lemon and it was currently trying to make its way down his throat.

"Mr. Potter," said a calm and soft voice from Harry's right," when I first saw you I am ashamed to say I saw only your father in you, but I can see you take after your mother in more ways than your father. Which is why I'd very much like to speak with your head of house about something pertaining to you, and I would very much like it if you would join me."

"I-I'm not in trouble am I Professor McGonagall?"

"Heavens no Potter! But I do think you will be rather interested in what I have to offer both you and Ms. Delacour. Of course, this would be with the approval of you, Professor Flitwick, and Ms.Delacour but from what he's told me about you two I think you will take quite a shine to this idea."

A/N:

Holy hell guys this chapter took me way to long and I'm very sorry for that. I make no excuses I've had on and off interest in the story and I've written on and off it for months that's probably why some portions will feel disjointed and honestly I can't read through my own work and feel it flow properly from an un-objective readers standpoint so I can only hope it's not to bad. I haven't given up on the story but try and understand I'm an unexperienced other with ADHD and stories don't always keep my interest after I've written in them for a while and honestly this is probably my longest work I've stayed with for so long aside from some side projects for books. I'll try to keep with the story and every once and a while I might be able to bang out two or three chapter in a few weeks but sometimes other chapters may take longer the upside to chapter like that is they'll most likely be longer than average. If you'd prefer I could write more often but have much shorter chapters but some would need to be lengthy. I'm always happy for feedback as long as it can be constructive.

Have a great day!!!
