It's December already... Here I am getting frostbites here in Canada lmao.

I'd like to thank the influx of people who left a review and casted their vote respectfully. That said, let's look at the current results for now.

Oregairu: 8 votes

Komi-san: 5 votes

Love is War: 4 votes

Horimiya: 1 vote

This is my rough counting to be completely honest. Some numbers might be inaccurate. Looks like Oregairu is in a pretty big lead. The reasonings in the reviews are pretty persuasive too. They make me want to vote myself haha.

Don't worry, it's not over yet! You can still vote to try and make a difference if you'd like.

Also, please try to refrain from voting more than once. Seriously makes my life a pain lol.

That being said, let's get started.

"Hello, secretaries of Ayaka-sensei!" The boy bowed very deeply, up to about 90 degrees. "I'm very honored to have met you!" The boy had black eyes and hair, a classic Asian look. His face looked delicate and handsome, somewhat like Kirito from 'Sword Art Online.' He was holding a backpack of his, as if he just came out of school.

"Uh… yeah." I shifted awkwardly. Mai and I managed to put together a table and chair, to look "professional" but I honestly don't think it was going to be any better. The boy seemed to be very polite, anyway.

"Hello, Kobayashi-san. My name is Kisaragi Mai, this is Misaka Miyano." Mai took the initiative to introduce herself and I, maintaining a straight and serious face. With her looks, the fact that we only have one person applying doesn't seem likely at first glance.

"H-hello! I'm Kobayashi Yusuke." The boy replied back. His back was a little stiff, and I could notice his hands trembling a little.

"Okay, let's start with this." Mai asked. "Why are you interested in working here?"

Mai began with the most generic question asked by all interviewers. Although, this question is effective in helping interviewers know more about their applicant's personality. After all, skills and experiences aren't everything in this.

"Well, I hate to be a little blunt here but I think my answer is obvious. I love Ayaka-sensei's light novels, and it would seriously be an honor to work with her!"

'Wait a minute… Does this boy actually believe I'm the author? Does he have some kind of ability to confirm that or is he simply stupid?"

Mai jumped silently, but enough for me to notice. "See!? At least this person believes me!"

"..." I paused, silent. I then decided to play a little test on him.

"This is a completely optional question for you to answer, but what is your grade average? This will not affect your chances of getting the job, but we would like to at least make sure that you passed your education courses." I said, coming up with the best lie possible.

The boy scratched his head, giving a guilty look. "My grade average is a 32…"

Mai choked on her spit, and began coughing wildly. I kept my cool though, keeping my eyes on the applicant.

"Yeah, I barely made it over the passing grade of 30. I'm not that smart."

"Well, that's the person who actually believed our poster." I muttered, as I confirmed the reason he applied using my test. He was just plain stupid.

"I'm sorry…" Mai whispered to me.

"It's fine." I replied. Smarts aren't necessarily an important thing here in this kind of industry anyway.

"Kobayashi-san, I saw in your resume that you have experience in drawing and translating. Could you show me and Mai here some of your drawings, if you have any?"

"O-of course! I actually prepared them here for this occasion! He puts down his backpack and takes out a rather thin manga for the two of us to see. He puts it on the table, and I open the cover.

"GYAAHHHH!" Mai screamed, falling out of her chair beet red.

"That was a little bit of an overreaction." I commented dryly.

I have to say, the fact that he brazenly hands us some Hentai comics was a little unexpected.

"GET OUT! NOW!" Mai indiscriminately yells, stumbling to stand back up.

"W-what!?" Kobayashi, utters, confused.

"Wait!" I call, overturning Mai's unreasonable order. "Don't you have any drawings of yours… that aren't naked teenage girls?"

"Not really…" Kobayashi replies. I did recognize that Ecchi is a common genre among the mangas I read in this world, which probably contributed to the fact that I wasn't surprised.

"Okay, Kobayashi-san." I said, taking control of the interview. "How about I have you do a commission?"

"A commission?" Mai echoes, but Kobayashi nods.

A commission was a method freelance artists used to earn money. This is where someone, who is the commissioner, could ask the artist to draw anything they wanted for a price.

"Okay, I will write the details of my commission here. I would like you to try to draw to the best of your ability to replicate my commission and refine it.

"Yes!" He says, almost as if he were saluting.

I thought of the character I wanted him to draw, and I decided to describe Tohru from 'Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid.' This was partly because of his family name, but Tohru is probably one of the most unique characters in manga and anime in terms of character design and appearances. I was curious as to how he would do.

I took my pen and began writing the best description of Tohru I could by memory.

"Tohru has long blonde hair with flaming orange tips and red-orange eyes with dilated pupils, and a buxom figure with large thighs and plump, bouncy breasts. Tohru wears a long navy blue dress with a white short sleeve undershirt with white gloves that reach to her elbow and a short red necktie. She also has her green dragon tail out which is scaly and green on the top and white and smooth on the bottom, along with large antler looking horns sticking out her head."

I saw many challenges artists did, and one of which included trying to draw a character only by someone's else's description. Specifically 'Genshin Impact' Characters, those were fun. The point though, is that this task should be hard. So I wasn't expecting much from him.

Some time passed, so I spent some time playing a digital game of chess with Mai using our phones. Mai was a solid player, who almost always fianchettos her bishop and trades to endgames. I find this playstyle to be quite annoying in my opinion, because it gives me less opportunities to launch an attack.

Putting the random topic of chess aside, Kobayashi finally declared his art to be finished.

"Took you long enough!" Mai shouted harshly. I laid my hand on her shoulder to calm her down. I understood that for a person like her, drawing something was probably a task that could be done in a matter of minutes. However, that was further from the truth. Animators and artists always have the hardest time making a living, because people would actually need to appreciate your work if you could ever hope to earn enough money to get yourself fed. Not to mention that there is a huge influx of people who expect art to be free since you can conveniently find drawings on google with ease.

"This is completely normal. Probably even faster than average, even." I told Mai, speaking nothing but facts.

"But, you draw so much faster-" Mai stopped speaking when I vigorously shook my head. 'I'm a bit of a special case.' is what I wanted to say, but how she interpreted my gesture is unknown.

"Here." Kobayashi handed his art, which was ominously folded. He made it feel so formal, making us take in the anticipation of what he drew. I slowly opened up the drawing to reveal…!

Tohru looked perfect. Almost exactly how I imagined her to be like, perhaps even more alluring than my drawings. I could feel the passion and love poured into their work of art, as cringe and unrealistic as that sounds.

But I still thought that way. It was almost as if the character leaped out of the fictional world with her magic and began to do all kinds of dragon stuff. I held the open page, as my fingers trembled.

Despite my previous praises that I mentioned before, there is only a single flaw that was in this drawing.

Could you guess what it is?

I teared my eyes off the drawing to see Mai violently choking our poor applicant, with a blush that somehow managed to be even redder than before.

"WHY? WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS! THIS IS SEXUAL HARASSMENT! YOU'RE NEVER GETTING ACCEPTED IF YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS!" Mai screamed at the top of her lungs, violently shaking Kobayashi. This scene could only remind me of the useless goddess Aqua grabbing Kazuma by the shoulders, shaking them. I guess that the only difference here is that Kobayashi actually looked like he was dying.

That's right, Tohru here in this picture is butt naked, and she's even in a seductive pose that any man would fall for.

I'm not sure if I should be questioning anything more about common sense of manga in this world, but the only thing I could be glad about is that I didn't make him draw Kanna Kamui instead. Who knows when the FBI might come to bring down my home again?

"Argh, Misaka-san! Get rid of that thing and let's reject him. I've had enough of this guy." Mai urged.

"W-wait! What did I do wrong?" Kobayashi cried in desperation.

"You seriously don't know!?" Mai shouted back, getting even more physical. I didn't even know Mai could be so violent.

"Gahh!"

"..." I thought in silence, fingers rubbing my chin. I probably look very stupid looking like this while holding a drawing of a naked anime girl, but it didn't really matter to me.

"... Kobayashi-san?" I called.

"Yes!" The young man straightened his back, as if he were never choked in the first place.

I decided to be blunt with him. "Why did you draw her naked?"

"W-well, I decided to stick with what I do best." Kobayashi. I raised my eyebrow. 'That's right. As stupid as it sounds, it seems that he spend most of his drawing career on shitty hentais and ecchi mangas. Of course this sort of thing would be what he is the most well versed in.'

"Have you ever drawn men then?" I asked.

"Yes… but…" He trails off.

"BL?" I asked. Kobayashi slowly nods. Mai on the other hand tilts her head.

"What's BL?" Mai innocently asks, derailing my serious conversation with Kobayashi. I shifted uncomfortably, I might just be blushing as well for all I know.

Kobayashi voluntarily whispers something to Mai's ear, to my surprise. Mai expectedly blushes, but she refrains from doing anything to our applicant.

I clear my throat. "Well, going back on track. Have you ever drawn characters with clothes then?"

Kobayashi shakes his head slowly, head laying low. I sigh in response. 'Seriously? He has drawn nothing but naked people!? He'd have difficulty drawing characters' normal situations, how could he ever hope to work as a real artist?

Kobayashi sweat drops, and swallows. "P-please! I'm so sorry if that drawing has offended you!"

"About time…" Mai mutters.

However, Kobayashi didn't stop there. He fell to his knees, and pressed his head to the ground. In a "dogeza" pose, he continues to speak. "I-I can learn, you know! Give me some time, I'll learn how to change my style!"

I was stunned. Even Mai was speechless. The dead silence fully enveloped the room, as his despair seemed to manifest even more with every second. "It really doesn't matter what kind of job you give me! I'll do anything!" His tears began to wet the floor, as he trembled.

Though this sort of thing happens in an anime-like setting, it really felt like he was faking it at first glance. No cliche moment like that would ever happen right…?

I continued to look at him though, somewhat filled with pity. Another several seconds passed, and the tension somewhat got colder.

Logically speaking, it was highly likely that he's just putting up an act. There's no one who would get emotional over something like this anyway. However, I felt something was off. I couldn't help but remember the harsh effort I put into practicing to draw detailed illustrations through the internet. Especially since my specialties and talents at the time were math and science, getting good without proper guidance was a frustrating hell. I knew that feeling.

'The risks of taking him in are too high though…'

My head stopped. 'Wait.'

'Speaking of risks, what does he stand to gain from wanting to work here…? It's not like we're offering staggering amounts of money…'

'It's because he thinks we work for Ayaka Hiiragi. An author who made works completely contrasting the mangas and illustrations he has drawn. He genuinely believes that.'

"Stand up." I ordered, as he slowly stood up. "Are you willing to learn and improve?"

It was a simple question. Whenever he said yes or no didn't really matter. However, I just wanted an answer from him so I could look cool.

"Y-yes…" He mutters.

"Did you say no?" I asked.

"Y-yes!"

"Pardon?"

"YES!" He finally shouts at the top of his lungs. I smile at his energy. 'Much better.'

"Alright, you're hired."

Kobyashi finally left for the day. Even though I thought he was a little bit of an airhead, he was surprisingly emotional as well. I stared at the drawing he left behind. We managed to schedule a good time for Kobayashi Yusuke's first day of work here.

"Are you going to throw that out or what?" Mai scrowled, cleaning up what we set up in a rush today.

"It's kinda hot. I think I'm going to keep it."

"HAH!? What the heck are you saying!?" Mai protested. I wondered how her voice wasn't tired from all the screaming she did today.

"I'm bisexual you know? You can't blame me for my preferences." That was the truth. In both my old and new world, this was always my sexuality.

"Just because you're bisexual doesn't mean you get to act like a pervert in front of me!"

"Haha, sorry. Don't you wanna take another look?" I teased.

"No thank you, I'm straight myself!" Mai replied. "Just put it somewhere I can't see it." She added with a sigh.

"Will do."

I silently mused in surprise, as I folded the drawing neatly and put it in my pocket. Mai didn't seem to mind the fact that I was bisexual, which was pretty nice if I say so myself. My previous world was much less fortunate for me though, which I prefer not to really talk about. I wasn't the kind of person who would go on twitter, I could tell you that much though.

Mia silently pouted a little, probably because I ultimately decided to hire him in the end.

"Sorry again." I speak up to Mai, to which she smiles.

"No, I trust your judgment." She says. She then looks elsewhere as she grits her teeth. "I just can't stand that guy is all…"

I laugh a little. "I don't think he means any of that stuff. He's a lot better than most other guys that I know. He's at least better than a middle-aged man right?"

Mai bit her lip. "Y-yeah…" She admitted.

"Either way, I notice the talent in him. I think it'll be worthwhile to teach him what I know." Given that he was able to draw Tohru with such precision, there's no doubt that he will be able to learn quickly. Even if he doesn't, his NSFW drawings make a great base to start with for me to edit on.

"This could only be the beginning." I continued. "His drawing was done by hand, might I remind you. With the use of technology he'll be able to draw characters with clothes in no time."

"I hope you're right." Mai says.

My memory of Toaru's Magic side is a bit rusty, so please forgive me if any characters are OOC. Please let me know and I'll be sure to change that.

Meanwhile in London, there was a women's dorm owned by the Church of England: Necessarius. The dorm was filled with various female members of the church, most of which are nuns. There also happened to be a saint living there. That saint was one of the fewer than twenty saints on Earth, whose power and abilities could be described as akin to an atomic bomb. That saint, with that sort of incredible power, was Kanzaki Kaori.

Kanzaki, the saint with incredible power, was currently using the revolutionary and miraculous machinery called: "a washing machine".

Kanzaki loved it so very much. It was a gift from Academy City to the church to strengthen the bonds between the two factions. Currently, she is loading the washer from clothes from the various members who are living in the dorm.

In total there were a little over two hundred members that lived in the dorm. Most of them were former catholic nuns who fled their church after failing to capture a fellow nun who was being chased because of a certain perceived ability to read a powerful grimoire. After being saved by a certain boy, the English church welcomed them with open arms.

Kanzaki went into the dining room after loading their clothes into the washer. Naturally, there was a large table in the center of the room which was at least twenty meters long. It would have to be to accommodate over two hundred people eating at it every day after all. Sitting at the table were some of the other occupants of the dorm including; Sherry Cromwell, Agnese Sanctis, Angelene, Lucia, and the rest of the Agnese forces. Others like Itsuwa and Orsola Aquinas were currently in the kitchen preparing the meal for everyone else.

"Dinner's ready!" Orsola called out cheerfully while carrying a serving tray full of delicious food. Orsola then began to set a plate in front of everyone at the table. Those who had their food served began eating right away, while some others waited respectfully for all the food to be served.

"Itsuwa?" Agnese's voice suddenly echoed, cutting the silence. "What is it you're carrying?"

Everyone's eyes widened and turned their attention to Itsuwa, whom everyone had believed her to be helping Orsola cook. Instead, she had just entered the dining room late carrying two boxes in each hand. Itsuwa looked just as puzzled as everyone else though.

"It's mail, from Tsuchimikado Motoharu." Itsuwa trailed off while reading the label.

"For who?" Kanzaki asked.

Itsuwa shook her head while observing the label. "It doesn't say. Maybe that means it's for all of us?"

"C-could it be a mission?" asked Orsola. She was still carrying the tray.

"For all of us? What kind of mission could possibly be so big that they would call all of us in?" Questioned Agnese.

"Besides, Tsuchimikado would just call me instead of doing something as slow as mailing." Kanzaki added.

Kanzaki stood up from her seat to approach one of the packages Itsuwa carried. Opening it with ease, she looked down at it to see the top filled with a ridiculous amount of bubble wrap, along with a recorder at the top.

Kazaki frowned slightly. She knew the type of person Tsuchimikado was and what kind of personality he had. It almost wouldn't be surprising if it turned out to be some elaborate prank. Kanzaki begrudgingly played the recorder out loud.

"Hello ladies! At this time you are probably preparing to eat dinner, my apologies. Half the room had chills. It was uncanny how he managed to time it correctly. "I'm still here in Academy city of course, and I actually found something even cooler than that washing machine you know?"

The mention of the washing machine drew nearly everyone's attention.

"Go ahead and open both packages. It's under the bubble wrap."

On cue, Itsuwa and Kanzaki took off the bubble wrap and carefully took out what was out of it. Since it was encased in bubble wrap, they assumed it must have been very fragile. Sherry even stood up from her seat to help out.

What they took out was a whole stack of different looking colorful books. Half of which are labeled 'Sincerely' and the other half labeled 'Steins;Gate'.

"Books?" Itsuwa echoed in confusion. "Wh-"

"You'll thank me later!" Tsuchimikado's voice cut Itsuwa off, before signaling the end of his recording.

"Are those grimoires?" Angelene asked from a distance.

"No. They look like ordinary books to me." Kanzaki said, picking one up. She opens the cover and begins reading the contents.

One week ago…

"Yep, that's all of them." Tsuchimikado packs the books into a large box making sure he's gotten the stamp, label, and correct address to send it.

Touma was on the side, helping out with the other box. "I'm done here too."

"Okay, let's send it off." Tsuchimikado says, carrying one box with both arms, as Touma carried the other.

They walked a long while to the post office. As long as no one took it or messed with it, Tsuchimikado predicted it would be there in a week from now. He even guesses that the girls would be having dinner by the time it's there.

They finally manage to get the packages delivered, and they walk together to return home.

"I hope they enjoy it. Just as much as I did." Touma says.

"Yeah, me too." Tsuchimikado replied.

"I didn't think we could fit all those books in just two packages." Touma mentions with a proud smile.

"Well, yeah. I'm going to keep the last book of each series for a while until they call me." Tsuchimikado suddenly drops a bombshell, casually while he rests the back of his head on his hands.
