[The next day.]
[The Eds are at Eddy's place.]
Edd: "You know chums, I strongly suggest we get to know our new female companion."
Eddy: "Why?"
Edd: "Well, because despite being on friendly terms, we still know very little about her, and I feel she would be more comfortable in our company if we got to know each other better."
Ed: "But she is already my friend!"
Eddy: "I'm not blowing off my scam to spend time with her!"
[Edd shakes his head in disappointment.]
Edd: "I am sorry you both feel that way, I guess I shall have to do it alone."
[Eddy snickers]
Eddy: "I bet you'd like that."
[Edd then blushes.]
Edd: "W-What I feel is irrelevant! This is strictly professional!"
Eddy: "Sure it is."
Edd: "So if you two don't mind, I'm going to be spending the day with Natalie."
Eddy: "Whatever Sockhead."
[Edd then leaves.]
[Edd knocks on Nat's door, she answers.]
Nat: "Double D?"
Edd: "Greetings Nat!"
[Nat notices Ed and Eddy aren't with Edd.]
Nat: "Where's Ed and Eddy?"
Edd: "They, had a previous engagement."
Nat: "...does that mean they're busy?"
Edd: "Y-Yes, that's what I meant."
Nat: "Got it!"
Edd: "However, I was hoping...we could spend the day together."
Nat: "Ok! What should we do?"
Edd: "Well...I could...show you my room."
Nat: "Sure! I'd love to see it!"
[Edd takes Nat to his house, he leads her to his room.]
Nat: "Wow!"
Edd: "Do you like it?"
Nat: "It's so organized, I'm impressed! It's better than my room, I still have a lot of unpacking to do, so my room is slightly disorganized."
Edd: "I-I'm glad you think so."
[Nat notices Edd hasn't moved from the door.]
Nat: "Are you ok?"
Edd: "O-Oh yes I'm alright!"
Nat: "Are you sure?"
Edd: "Yes...it's just...I've never had a girl in my room before."
Nat: (thinking) "He's trying to be nice, I know he's still upset with me."
Nat: "Well if you're uncomfortable, I can leave."
Edd: "No no! It's quite alright."
[Nat notices Edd's collection of books.]
Nat: "Are these your books?"
Edd: "Yes they are."
[Nat looks at the books.]
Nat: "I recognize most of these titles."
Edd: "You do?"
[Nat takes one out and opens it.]
Nat: "You read the same ones I do."
Edd: "O-Oh yes, quite the coincidence."
[Nat looks back and notices a certain book.]
Nat: "Is that a book about the ocean?!"
[Nat takes the book out.]
Nat: "I've always wanted to read this one, but my parents couldn't find it anywhere!"
Edd: "I see you're quite fond of literature."
Nat: "Yeah, you could say that."
[Nat looks at the pictures of the marine life.]
Nat: "When I look at these books, it's my way of seeing the world, and although I'm not seeing things in person, reading about it and looking at the pictures can be just as good as the real thing."
[Nat looks up and sees Edd staring at her, this causes her to blush.]
Nat: "Um...that doesn't sound weird does it?"
Edd: "No, Not at all...in fact...that's exactly how I feel."
[Nat stares at Edd till it reaches a point where she drops the book. As she reaches down to grab it, her hand makes contact with his. He then blushes.]
Edd: "O-Oh sorry!"
[Nat then frowns.]
Nat: (thinking) "I can't take this anymore!"
[Nat pulls her hand away.]
Nat: "Look I'm sorry!"
Edd: "Wha-"
Nat: "I didn't mean to kiss you! I was reading this book on how to talk to people and I just..."
[Nat puts her hands on her face]
Nat: "Forget it! I'm just making things worse!"
[Nat gets up and hurries to the door.]
Edd: "Natalie wait!"
[Nat stops by the door.]
Edd: "Please don't run away!"
[Nat turns around.]
Edd: "I have no animosity toward you."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Edd: "What I mean is, I'm not upset."
Nat: "You're...not?"
Edd: "No, why would you think that?"
Nat: "Well, because you we're acting nervous around me, so I thought it was because I made you upset for what I did."
Edd: "But, I had forgotten about that."
Nat: "Are you telling the truth? And you don't think I'm a disaster?"
Edd: "I am, I don't think that way about you, if there's anyone who is a disaster it's me."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Nat: "Why?"
Edd: "Because I have always been this way toward other females, I have trouble speaking properly to them."
Nat: "So, that's why you're being nervous?"
Edd: "Y-Yes, that is correct."
Nat: "But...I don't think you're a disaster."
Edd: "But I am."
Nat: "No you're not, it's ok to be nervous, it's a normal feeling, it doesn't make me think less of you."
Edd: "It doesn't?"
Nat: "No, of course not."
Edd: "Well...that's wonderful to hear."
Nat: "Good."
[Nat smiles]
Nat: "I feel so relieved we've sorted this out."
Edd: "Me as well."
[Edd starts to blush.]
Edd: "Besides...I quite enjoyed it."
[Nat is taken aback.]
Nat: "Really?"
[Edd starts to sweat.]
Edd: "I-I apologize for my irrational thinking."
[Nat rubs her arm.]
Nat: "Um...I think I should go."
[Edd holds his arms up.]
Edd: "I didn't mean-"
Nat: "Oh no no! It's not because of you, it's just I promised my parents I would finish unpacking today and I think I should get back to it."
[Nat looks down]
Nat: "I mean...is that ok with you?"
Edd: "Yes, it is important to keep your word."
Nat: "Thanks."
[Nat turns to leave.]
Edd: "Although."
[Nat turns around]
Edd: "Is it alright if I come help you? You can get done quicker with an extra set of hands."
Nat: "Sure!"
Edd: "Wonderful!"
[Edd and Nat go back to her house.]
[Edd and Nat go to her room, he sees the room mostly empty and some boxes on the floor.]
Edd: "I see you still have quite a bit to unpack."
Nat: "Yeah, I do."
Edd: "Where shall I begin?"
Nat: "You can start with the one on my bed, since it's already open."
Edd: "Alright."
[Edd goes to the box on Nat's bed while she goes to the one on the floor.]
[After going through all the boxes, Nat picks them up.]
Nat: "I'm just going to take these boxes out."
Edd: "Do you need help?"
Nat: "It's ok, I've got them."
[Nat walks out the room, she places the boxes near the front door and goes back to the room.]
Nat: "I'm back."
[Edd turns around. Nat sees him holding a hairbrush.]
Nat: "You found my hairbrush!"
Edd: "O-Oh yes, it was under the multiple boxes."
[Edd gives the brush to Nat.]
Nat: "I was wondering where this was."
[Nat uses a napkin to clean it.]
Nat: "Now Mom can brush my hair again."
Edd: "Your mother brushes your hair?"
Nat: "Yeah. She loves to brush my hair, so I always let her do it."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Nat: "I don't know when she will be home though."
[Edd then gets an idea, an idea that makes him nervous.]
Edd: "W-Well since you are unsure of her return...m-maybe I...could brush your hair?"
[Nat is slightly taken aback. After seeing her reaction, Edd immediately regrets asking.]
Edd: "I-I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to make you uncom-"
Nat: "Sure you can!"
[Nat then smiles and hands Edd the hairbrush.]
[Nat sits on her bed, she gestures for Edd to sit next to her. As he nervously does, she turns around.]
[Edd goes to remove Nat's headband, before doing so however, he notices his hands getting sweaty, not wanting to get sweat on her hair, he puts gloves on.]
[Edd carefully removes Nat's headband, he then uses the brush to make contact with her hair and does a gentle stroke. As he continues to brush her hair, she then smiles and slowly closes her eyes.]
Nat: "That feels nice..."
[Edd slightly blushes at Nat's comment. As he continues, he thinks to himself.]
Edd: (thinking) "If her hair is this smooth to groom, I wonder if it feels the same."
[Edd removes one glove and dries it with a napkin. He then uses his fingers to put them under a strand of hair.]
Edd: (thinking) "It does!"
[Edd then inhales the air]
Edd: (thinking) "Is that...cherry blossom?"
[Edd then removes his other glove. After wiping his other hand, he uses them both to feel Nat's hair.]
Edd: (thinking) "Her hair is so soft, as smooth as silk. And it smells like freshly sprouted flowers, I've never inhaled anything so sweet!"
[As Edd continues to admire Nat's hair, she then open her eyes.]
Nat: "Double D?"
[Edd then snaps out of it.]
Edd: "Huh?"
Nat: "Are you done?"
Edd: "Why?"
Nat: "You stopped."
[Edd then notices he put the brush down.]
Edd: "O-Oh no! I'm not quite finished!"
[Edd then picks up the brush and smiles nervously.]
Nat: "Ok, whenever you're ready."
[Edd continues brushing Nat's hair. After a few more strokes, he stops.]
Edd: "Alright, I'm finished."
Nat: "Great!"
[Nat reaches for her headband. As she does, she notices something.]
Nat: "Are you...feeling my hair?"
[Edd goes wide eyed and blushes, quickly removing his hands.]
Edd: "O-Of course not! I-I was just...checking for lice!"
[Nat then puts her hands on her head.]
Nat: "I have lice?!"
[Edd immediately lifts his hands.]
Edd: "No! Goodness No! I checked and you are free from insects!"
[Nat then puts a hand on her chest.]
Nat: "Oh...that's a relief."
[Edd quickly grabs Nat's headband and puts it on her head.]
Edd: "Besides if I were, that would simply be awkward of me."
[Nat makes a confused face.]
Nat: "I don't think it's awkward."
[Edd is taken aback by the unexpected answer.]
Edd: "You don't?"
Nat: "I don't...if you were to feel my hair, I wouldn't mind."
Edd: "Really?"
Nat: "Sure. Mom feels my hair all the time, so I'm used to it."
Edd: "I...shall keep that in mind."
[Nat turns to Edd as he hands her brush back.]
Edd: "Um...I don't mean to intrude...but does your hair have cherry blossom scent?'
Nat: "Oh yeah, that's my conditioner."
Edd: "I thought so."
Nat: "Why? Do you like it?"
[Edd blushes]
Edd: "W-Well...I do admit...it does smell lovely."
Nat: "Thanks, that's really sweet."
Edd: "Did I exceed your expectations?"
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Edd: "Did I do alright?"
Nat: "Oh yes! In fact."
[Nat brings her hair to the front.]
Nat: "You were gentle and careful...just like Mom."
[Edd blushes. As Nat turns around, she notices something.]
Nat: "Look Double D!"
Edd: "What?"
[Nat points at her slightly open window, she sees a tiny caterpillar crawling on it. She immediately goes to her window and lays her finger in front of the caterpillar, it crawls on it.]
Nat: "It's a tiny caterpillar."
[The caterpillar crawls up Nat's arm. She giggles as it goes around her arms, this causes Edd to slightly smile.]
Nat: "It's cute!"
[As Nat holds the caterpillar in her hands, she suddenly sees a bird approaching her window. She suddenly panics as she holds the caterpillar close.]
Nat: "Not on my watch!"
[Nat immediately closes her window, The bird then flies away.]
Nat: "You're safe now little one."
[Nat carries the caterpillar to Edd.]
Nat: "Can you hold it for a second?"
Edd: "Certainly."
[Nat gives Edd the caterpillar, she then goes through her books. After taking out a certain one, she flips to a certain page and goes back to Edd.]
Nat: "I knew it!"
[Nat shows Edd the page, it has a picture of the caterpillar.]
Nat: "I knew it was a caterpillar!"
[Nat puts the book down.]
Nat: "I've read about them, but to actually see one up close!"
[Nat smiles and puts her arms up.]
Nat: "Words cannot describe!"
[Edd smiles as well]
Edd: "Yes, it is quite a specimen."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Edd: "...insect."
[Nat smiles and nods.]
Nat: "And to think it almost got eaten."
[Nat takes the caterpillar back.]
Nat: "I can see why I haven't seen any butterflies."
[Nat makes a sad face.]
Nat: "I wish there was a way I could help it."
[Edd frowns upon seeing Nat sad. After some thinking, he gets an idea.]
Edd: "You could build a home for it."
[Nat looks up]
Nat: "A home?"
Edd: "You could build a home, that way you can take care of it and nurse it back to health."
[Nat suddenly beams and smiles.]
Nat: "That's a wonderful idea! I could help it become a butterfly!"
Edd: "Exactly!"
Nat: "And I could also help other caterpillars I find!"
Edd: "That works as well!"
Nat: "But I don't know how to build a house."
Edd: "That's alright, I'll help you, I'll even let you use my tools."
Nat: "Really? That would be really nice."
Edd: "I'm certain, shall we go back to my house?"
[Nat giggles]
Nat: "We shall."
[Edd and Nat go back to his house.]
[Nat places the caterpillar in a box the Edd provides. He grabs his tools and places them on his desk, he and Nat get to work on making the house.]
[After finishing the house, Edd and Nat start painting the house. Halfway through painting, Edd notices Nat stops.]
Edd: "Nat, Is something the matter?"
Nat: "Oh no, I'm ok."
Edd: "Why did you stop?"
Nat: "I was just thinking."
Edd: "May I ask what?"
Nat: "I'm thinking...if I'm being silly."
[Edd is taken aback.]
Edd: "What do you mean?"
Nat: "Well...we're building this house because I want to help the caterpillars...but I'm wondering if that's silly of me...after all, birds eating caterpillars is a part of nature."
[Edd places a hand on Nat's shoulder.]
Edd: "That may be so, but I don't think you're being silly. Besides, there are other things that birds consume."
[Nat smiles]
Nat: "Yeah, you're right."
[Edd then realizes what he's doing and takes his hand off Nat.]
Edd: "U-Um, we should finish painting the house."
Nat: "Oh right, of course!"
[Nat goes back to painting along with Edd.]
Edd: "In fact...I think..it's rather...noble of you to want to help the insects."
Nat: "Well, they are living things just like us, and just like us they have feelings too."
Edd: "Right, exactly!"
[Edd and Nat finish painting the house.]
Edd: "So what is your thought process?"
Nat: "...does that mean what am I thinking?"
Edd: "Y-Yes, that is what I meant."
Nat: "Well, I think I like it."
Edd: "I'm glad you think so."
[Nat takes the caterpillar and puts it in the house.]
Nat: "And I think the caterpillar likes it too."
Edd: "I should hope it does."
[Nat then notices Edd's ant farm.]
Nat: "Woah, are those ants?"
[Nat stands up and goes to the farm.]
Edd: "Oh yes. These are my ants, I collect each one I find."
Nat: "How many are there?"
Edd: "I'm not precisely sure, I have so many."
Nat: "I could help you count them."
Edd: "You would?"
Nat: "Sure!"
[Edd takes out his ants one by one for him and Nat to count. After much counting, they finish.]
Edd: "Ok, after going through each insect, there are precisely 4,830 ants."
Nat: "Got it."
[Nat writes down the number on a piece of paper.]
Nat: "Where should I put this?"
Edd: "You can place it in front of the farm."
[Nat puts the paper there. She then thinks of something.]
Nat: "Do you think you might lose the paper?"
[Edd thinks as well.]
Edd: "Now that you mention it, it is a possibility."
[Nat thinks for a minute, she then gets an idea.]
Nat: "Have you ever used a labeler?"
Edd: "A labeler?"
Nat: "It's a device where there's a dial with letters and numbers on it and you turn it to spell out words or numbers and a piece of tape comes out with them so you can place it anywhere."
Edd: "Oh no, I have not heard of such device, but it sounds intriguing."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Edd: "...interesting."
[Nat smiles and nods.]
Nat: "I guess that means you don't own one."
Edd: "No, I do not."
[Nat thinks to herself, she then smiles.]
Nat: "Well...paper works fine."
Edd: "I...suppose so."
[Nat then looks at the farm.]
Nat: "What do those ants do in there?"
Edd: "I'm glad you asked."
[Edd gives a long explanation to Nat.]
Edd: "Now you a familiar with their routine, are you intrigued?"
[Nat just stands there wide eyed.]
Edd: "Um...Natalie?"
[Nat then snaps out of it, she then awkwardly rubs her arm.]
Nat: "I-I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"
Edd: "I was wondering if you were intrigued."
Nat: "Well...um..."
[Nat then makes an uncomfortable face.]
Nat: "I...couldn't really...understand you."
[Edd then is taken aback.]
Nat: "You see...I'm not really familiar with big words...and you use them a lot...so I was...lost...most of the time you were talking."
[Edd then makes an ashamed look.]
Edd: "I understand. I'm used to people not understanding my complex vocabulary."
[Seeing the sad look on Edd's face makes Nat immediately regret saying anything.]
Nat: "But...maybe we can fix that!"
[This gets Edd's attention.]
Edd: "What do you propose?"
[Nat visibly searches the room frantically, she then stumbles upon the bookshelf. As she goes over to search the books, Edd just stares with confusion. She then takes one out.]
Nat: "The dictionary is full of big words right?"
Edd: "That is correct."
Nat: "Well, I can use this!"
[Edd makes a confused look.]
Edd: "You're going to carry that with you every time you're around me?"
Nat: "Um...no...I was thinking I could learn and memorize the words in here, that way when you talk to me, I'll understand what you're saying."
Edd: "You...would really do that?"
[Nat nods]
Nat: "Yes, I would."
Edd: "I thought you were going to ask me to speak with small words."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Nat: "No, why would I do that? I can tell using big words is the way you talk, and I respect that."
Edd: "That's...excellent to hear."
[Edd and Nat go through the dictionary together. Halfway through, Nat notices something.]
Nat: "What's this word?"
Edd: "Which one?"
Nat: "This one."
[Nat points to it. When Edd sees it, he then blushes.]
Nat: "I think it's spelled sh-"
[Edd then quickly covers the word on the page, Nat becomes shocked.]
Edd: "U-Um, nothing you are required to know!"
[Nat stares in confusion. She then shrugs and forgets about it.]
[Edd and Nat go through the rest of the dictionary with him dodging a few "other" words.]
Edd: "So what is the meaning of preposterous?"
Nat: "Ridiculous?"
Edd: "Excellent! How about phenomenal?"
Nat: "Amazing?"
Edd: "Excellent! What about excellent?"
Nat: "...ok?"
Edd: "Not quite, it stands for extremely good."
Nat: "Oh, soo close."
Edd: "Not to worry, we are not aiming for perfection."
[Nat smiles and nods]
[After a few more pages and quizzing later, Edd and Nat finally finish.]
Edd: "Alright, that is the entire dictionary."
Nat: "Good, I'm glad I was able to learn the complex vocabulary."
[Nat then blushes and giggles.]
Nat: "It seems I've gotten into it."
Edd: "Nothing wrong with that."
Nat: "Not at all."
[Edd and Nat smile at each other. She then looks up and sees Edd's hat.]
Nat: "Can I ask you something?"
Edd: "Of course."
Nat: "Why does Eddy call you Sockhead? I mean, I understand the meaning, but I don't understand the reason."
Edd: "Well...I don't understand what goes on in Eddy's mind...but if I were to come up with a reason...it would be it's his way of showing affection."
Nat: "Affection? But isn't it kind of insulting?"
Edd: "I've been called worse insults, so it's not as bad."
[Nat makes a sad face.]
Nat: "Worse like...freak?"
Edd: "Yes, that is one of them."
[Edd notices Nat's face.]
Edd: "Have you been called as such?"
Nat: "Um...with all due respect...I'd rather not talk about."
Edd: "It's alright, you do not have to."
Nat: "Thanks."
Edd: "Eddy may seem harsh, but once you uncover his hidden layers, he can be a decent human being."
Nat: "Are you sure? Cause I get the feeling he doesn't really like me."
Edd: "I've known him for quite some time, he'll come around."
Nat: "Ok."
[Nat then thinks for a minute.]
Nat: "Have you considered a different nickname?"
Edd: "Like what?"
Nat: "Well...how about Apple Dumpling?"
[Edd makes a confused look.]
Edd: "That...sounds unusual...how did you come up with that?"
Nat: "Well, because your shirt is red like apples, and you're as cute as a dumpling!"
[Nat then goes wide eyed and blushes, realizing what she just said. Edd blushes as well.]
Nat: "I-I'm sorry! I-I don't know where that came from!"
Edd: "Oh no! It's quite alright! in fact, I find it to be a suitable nickname."
Nat: "You do?"
Edd: "I do."
Nat: "Well, um, that's great!"
[Edd thinks for a moment.]
Edd: "Although, if I may, have you considered one for yourself?"
Nat: "Not really, although I guess there are better nicknames than Turtleneck."
Edd: "I agree...such as...Sweet Butterfly."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Nat: "I don't get it."
[Edd starts to sweat]
Edd: "Well...you're sweet, but I assume you've been told that many times. And you have a passion for butterflies...along with matching beauty."
[Edd goes wide eyed and blushes.]
Edd: "I-I mean, it is just a thought, a suggestion of course."
[Nat smiles]
Nat: "Well, I think it works perfectly."
[Edd breathes a slight sign of relief.]
Edd: "I-I'm glad you think so."
Nat: "I know so."
[Edd then looks outside.]
Edd: "Oh my, look at the time."
[Nat looks outside as well.]
Nat: "Wow, it's that late already? I didn't notice."
Edd: "Neither did I."
[Edd and Nat have a look of sadness on their faces.]
Edd: "Well...I suppose I should take you home."
Nat: "Yeah...I guess."
[Edd and Nat walk to the door.]
Edd: "Don't forget your house."
Nat: "O-Oh, right."
[Nat walks back to get her house.]
[Edd and Nat step outside. As they do, it starts to rain.]
Edd: "Oh dear."
Nat: "Oh no."
[Edd sees Nat in despair, he then gets an idea.]
Edd: "Wait here a moment."
[Edd walks away while Nat looks confused. After a moment, he returns.]
Edd: "Put this on."
[Nat looks and sees Edd has brought one of his beanies.]
Nat: "Your hat?"
Edd: "I would give you an umbrella, but I...don't own one."
[Edd then remembers Nat is holding her butterfly house.]
Edd: "On second thought, Allow me."
[Edd puts the hat on Nat's head. After he does, the hat falls in front of her eyes.]
Edd: "Oh dear! I apologize!"
[Edd pulls the hat above Nat's head, When he's able to see her eyes again, she giggles.]
Nat: "There you are."
[Edd slightly giggles at Nat's remark.]
Nat: "We should go now."
Edd: "R-Right."
[Edd and Nat walk to her house, they go in front of her door.]
Edd: "Here we are."
Nat: "Yeah."
[Edd and Nat remain silent, unsure of what to say.]
Edd: "Well...I guess I shall see you tomorrow."
[Edd turns to walk away.]
Nat: "Wait!"
[Edd turns back, surprised Nat stopped him.]
Nat: "I...have to ask you something, something that's been on my mind for a while."
[Edd suddenly starts to feel nervous.]
Edd: "A-Alright."
[Nat takes a deep breath.]
Nat: "Why...are you being so nice to me?"
[Edd is taken aback by this.]
Nat: "I mean. From the first moment we met, I came to your house to ask for sugar, and instead of slamming the door in my face, you gave me the sugar. You didn't know me and yet you helped me, and you continue to be nice and help me, and it continues to confuse me."
[Nat takes a step forward.]
Nat: "Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything you've done for me, and I thank you for it. But I've been betrayed by someone who was nice to me, and I'm not thinking or saying you'll do the same, I'd just like to know your reason."
[Edd nods]
Edd: "I understand, you have every right to be skeptical, considering we haven't known each other for that long."
[Edd then thinks for a minute.]
Edd: "But if I may, you confuse me as well."
[Nat makes a confused look.]
Nat: "I do?"
Edd: "Yes. If I recall, you helped me and my friends in our time of need on the roof, despite you not being familiar with us at the time."
[Edd takes a step forward.]
Edd: "So it makes me wonder, why you helped us."
[Nat looks away]
Nat: "Well, I kinda question that myself."
[Nat shrugs her shoulders.]
Nat: "But...I guess...I wasn't really thinking at that moment...except...that I had to help you...it just felt like the right thing to do..."
Edd: "...like a good person."
[Nat looks at Edd, she then makes a skeptical look.]
Nat: "Were you...going to say something similar?"
Edd: "Yes, you could say that."
Nat: "And I just answered my own question?"
Edd: "You could say that as well."
[Edd then stares intensely at Nat.]
Edd: "I am sorry for what that person did to you, but if you were to trust me now, I have no intention on being that person."
[Nat is taken aback by this.]
Nat: "So...if I were to offer...that we make a promise to always be friends...would you do it?"
Edd: "Not only would I do it...but I would also make a promise of my own."
[Nat suddenly starts to get nervous.]
Nat: "W-What's that?"
[Nat then starts to lose grip on the house. Edd is quick to notice and quickly gets a grip on the house, ending up putting his hands on hers.]
Edd: "That I would never intentionally do anything to harm you."
[Nat then goes wide eyed and feels her face become warm, she's also finding it difficult to breathe. Her palms start to become sweaty, but because of the rain, Edd doesn't notice.]
[After a few moments of silence, Edd lets go.]
Edd: "Good night Natalie."
[Edd turns around and starts to walk away.]
Edd: "And do not be concerned of returning the hat, you may keep it."
[Edd turns back to Nat and waves at her before walking away. Nat's face doesn't change as she slowly lifts her arm and ends up dropping her house.]
[After some time of Nat just standing there, she then picks up her house with one hand, and reaches back with the other to the doorknob. After missing a few times, she manages to get a grip on the doorknob and open the door. She slowly steps back inside and closes the door, as she turns around and leans on the door, she puts her hand on her chest as she tries to catch her breath.]
Nat: "What is this boy doing to me?"
