Hi guys Azza here!

This is the last deviation chapter; next Chapter will have Luffy and Natsu in it. Just thought I'd give the heads up since I've had a few people asking me how close we are until the time skip.

The answer, VERY close now.

Anyway, on with the story!

I do not own Fairy Tail, One Piece or the Nasuverse.

Where Are They Now – Robin

Robin clutched her right arm, blood trickling down onto her fingers before painting the deep white snow red. She had a major gash and several gunshot wounds as she waded through almost knee-deep snow.

After the events of Sabaody, Robin had found herself sent to a place she knew from back during her time with Baroque Works. Anyone from the East Blue who read the news knew of this place, a place with some of the worst slavery imaginable.

Tequila Wolf, a construction site spanning half the seas of the East Blue.

The place was a country, yet all it was in truth was a colossal sized bridge that has been under construction for over seven hundred years by order of the Celestial Dragons. Naturally, this meant that the ones building said bridge were slave labourers.

Entire abandoned towns existed on the bridge, remnants of its construction. Bodies were merely tossed into the ocean as none in the World Government cared to bury a slave.

Which brings us back to Robin's situation.

She had seen a young girl being forcibly taken to work on the bridge. Seeing that the girl was alone with only a few guards, she thought she could free the girl. A rather colossal misstep on her part.

She took out the guards easily, but as she went to help unshackle the girl, the collar around her neck exploded, blasting her head apart as shrapnel flew out and tore a gash into her right arm.

Not only that, but the explosion was so large it attracted the rest of the guards who immediately opened fire, forcing her to flee.

Robin panted as she reached one of the old and abandoned camps formerly used by the slaves and slave masters, getting into one of the houses and shutting the door, quickly barricading it before stumbling over to a nearby sink.

Turning on the tap revealed the place still had running water, a small miracle in her mind.

Bringing her gash underneath the freezing water, Robin whined as she let the water clear out the muck in her gash to reveal it was rather deep indeed. Fortunately for her, the blood had mostly stopped flowing from it for the moment, but she needed to properly clean and wrap it or it would certainly get infected.

She decided to deal with the gunshot wounds before worrying about that though as she cleaned them out before noticing a bullet still in her arm. She inhaled before exhaling, accepting what she was going to have to do.

Looking in the kitchen, she noticed cutlery had been left and she knew what she had to do. Grabbing a knife, she cleaned it up as best as she could before digging into her arm and forcing the bullet out.

Robin did her best not to cry out, but it was incredibly painful as she whimpered softly, the bullet casing flicking out and landing in the sink, blood pouring out of the wound.

"At least its out," Robin muttered, shivering from the cold as she washed the wound out as best as she could before going to look for some sort of makeshift bandage she could use.

Searching around the abandoned camp, she found a few old blankets and knew that's probably the best she would find here and dragged them back to the main house she'd semi barricaded.

Using her power, she summoned a Necrozio Fleur hand and used its sharpness to rip the blankets into smaller pieces she could use, wrapping them around her wounds before sighing as she finally had a chance to just sit there and think, wrapping what was left of the blankets around herself as she huddled near a corner so she could see out a window that overlooked the direction she'd come from.

She was sent here by Bartholomew Kuma after the mess on Sabaody, she was alone, freezing, starving and wounded. She was stuck on the largest bridge in the world, the slavers aware of her presence and likely closing in…

There was a large snowstorm brewing outside and even the snow that was already there was nearly knee deep for her. Moving from this abandoned slave town right now simply wasn't an option.

She likely had about twenty minutes before the slavers showed up here and searched the place top to bottom, she left them a rather good trail of blood to follow after all. Not only that, but she was so exhausted and wounded that she doubted she could take them in a direct fight.

Yet, despite all of this, Robin giggled softly.

"Just like old times Robin," she sighed to herself. "Just you against the world…"

Slowly, she rose to her feet as her mind briefly flashed an image of her friends, then her Mother … and finally Natsu.

"I'm going to get through this," Robin said to herself as she began to focus her Devil Fruit power, summoning hands with eyes in their palm on every door facing the direction that the slavers were sure to come from.

And, sure enough, not too long after Robin got her second wind … they appeared."

Robin felt a bit of fear sink in as she saw twelve men begin to approach the abandoned slave town from the direction of the newer one she'd escaped from. There was a fair few of them, but she would not retreat. She kept her surveillance up and prepared herself for the worst.

A loud banging could be heard outside as the slavers smashed through the door, two entering the room.

Robin was upon the first one almost immediately, using her Etherious ability to 'Phase Out' and get right behind the one in the back. Her hair flicked up and began strangling the man silently as Robin threw the knife she'd found at the back of the other guard's neck, slicing his head clean off as she quickly moved both bodies out of sight, easily picking them up with her Demonic strength.

After hiding the bodies in the toilet, she snuck back out and watched from a window as four strolled past, all of them wielding firearms. She knew she couldn't engage them together and so she slipped out of the house and across to another one where she found a guard by himself checking out the rooms.

She came up behind him and bit him in the back, her hair expanding and muffling his cries as his body quickly succumb to lethal poison. Dragging him into a dark corner, she was about to leave when the door to the house opened and another slaver walked in.

Before he could call for help, she summoned a dozen arms to muffle him as she snapped his neck, panting slightly as she strained to keep herself moving due to the amount of blood she'd lost combined with being half frozen due to the frigid temperatures.

Unfortunately for her, another of the slavers had noticed her do this from out of view and sounded the alarm. Robin used her ability to 'Phase Out' and went to climb out of a window, only to freeze as she realized they weren't planning on charging into the house, but were instead surrounding it.

"We know you're in there, come out with your hands up or we'll burn you alive in there," one of the slavers roared with Robin contemplating her options.

She could render herself unnoticeable, but the moment she tried to leave her general location would be discovered. In order to leave the house, she would need to either open a window or door, something they would immediately notice.

She couldn't fight her way out as she was far too injured, already moving slower due to blood loss and damage from both Sabaody and the gunshot wounds she'd received earlier.

'I have no choice but to surrender,' she internally sighed as she steadied her breathing. 'I can't escape…'

Before she could make a move to surrender however, the sound of gunfire had her immediately dropping to the floor as the slavers outside began screaming in terror.

"No … NONONOOOOOAAARGH-!"

The sound of flesh being shredded apart had Robin shaking in fear as she heard the slavers screaming, begging for help as their bodies slammed against the house and ground outside, gunfire not even enough to drown out a blood curdling roar that shook the entire area.

She began crawling to the bedroom of the house and under the bed, obscuring it with the torn blankets as best she could as she heard the front door open whilst the slavers were still being torn apart.

The sound of multiple footsteps echoed around the room, the roars of whatever it was outside dying down as it seemed to be eating the slavers. She was therefore shocked when she heard voices.

"Room clear."

"Clear!"

"Clear in here Sir!"

"She's in this house," a soft, gentle voice muttered which had Robin's blood run cold. "I can sense her…"

'They know I'm here….'

Robin rendered herself undetectable as the door to the bedroom was opened and she saw between the bedding what appeared to be the figure of a young man enter. He was wearing black robes with golden trimming and a white sash.

"Nico Robin," the man said in the same soft tone. "You are safe now."

Robin's eyes widened in a mixture of shock and disbelief at the man's words, her breath shaky as she retained her concealed presence.

"I understand you are likely scared, wary…and I shall wait as long as necessary for you to come out so we may speak face to face," the man says in that soft, gentle tone.

It was then that she noticed something … off. As he spoke, her Demonic side almost seemed compelled to listen, like it wanted to do as the man said. It was a strange feeling, one that only Natsu had ever evoked within her.

"I am an ally, Nico Robin," the man muttered as she heard more footsteps.

"Sir, Commander Dragon has captured the town ahead," one of the men said as Robin's eyes widened in shock. "Are we free to advance Sir?"

"Of course. Tell him I'll be here helping our new friend," the man replied calmly as she watched the man salute.

"Of course Sir," the man replied with a salute before leaving.

"I trust now you understand who we are, Nico Robin?"

Robin let her concealment fade away as she parted the bedding and crawled out from under the bed.

"Y-You're with the Revolutionary Army," Robin gasped as the young man smiled and nodded. "B-But what are you doing here!?"

"As you know, Tequila Wolf is a place the Celestial Dragons send thousands of slaves a year," the man began as he turned and looked out at the rest of the bridge ahead of them. "This place is one of the symbols of the World Government's power, a symbol of the Celestial Dragons. Of course, Dragon wants the slaves freed and work on this place stopped."

Robin had to admit that it made sense. Dragon would gain a lot of new recruits from this and even greater public reputation from freeing so many slaves. But she had to ask the next obvious question.

"What was that … thing that tore up the slavers outside?"

The man's smile didn't waver as he held out his hand, a book appearing in it that had her backing all the way up to the far wall, eyes wide.

"That's how you knew I was here…"

"I sensed you travel from the Sabaody Archipelago to here in a rather swift manner. A long journey from the edge of the New World all the way to the East Blue, yet you got here in a week," the man explained. "We had been planning an attack on Tequila Wolf for months, your arrival here had me convince Dragon to enact it earlier than we first planned."

"M-Me!?"

"You are a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, and as you know, Monkey D Luffy is Dragon's Son. But you are also much more, Nico Robin. You represent hope for the Revolutionary Army, the last survivor of Ohara, an island that dared to try and learn the truth of this world."

Robin was speechless at what the man was saying. She represented hope to the Revolutionary Army?

"But there is one other reason, one that I'm sure you already know, but I'll say it anyway," the man continued. "You are an untrained Etherious Demon, one that has great potential. I can't place blame on either Natsu or Seilah for not having trained you properly, as you were only turned not too long ago. In fact, I must commend you for being able to utilize such useful skills without much training."

Pushing aside the fact that the man had praised her for figuring out her abilities so quickly, she decided to tackle the main topic.

"I can understand you knowing Natsu, everyone seems to know him … but you know Seilah?"

The man chuckled softly and nodded in response before speaking.

"Yes, I'm very familiar with her."

It was then that it clicked as she realized a crucial detail about the man she hadn't bothered noticing until right now.

"You aren't cold even though you're so lightly dressed," she muttered with the man simply nodding in response. "You're a Servant…"

"I am. I cannot tell you my True Name due to my position, but I am the Servant of Monkey D Dragon, leader of the Revolutionary Army," the man declared with the same calm tone. "Servant, Avenger, at your service, Nico Robin."

"Avenger…"

The sound of troops marching past the house startled her slightly but Avenger didn't react which meant they were Revolutionary Army troops and so she calmed herself down with a few deep breaths.

"So, I take it your Master wants to meet me?"

"He does," Avenger nodded in response. "And you need medical attention, your Etherious healing factor is not mature enough yet to handle such injuries alone."

Robin nodded in response, relieved that she wasn't going to end up enslaved here working on this damn bridge.

"Alright then, take me to Dragon."

Avenger nodded and motioned for her to follow him. As they came outside, she barely stifled a gasp at seeing a fifteen-foot Demon standing there, its wings spread wide and arms crossed as it seemingly guarded the house.

"Good work Luth, please fly on ahead and begin attacking the slavers base of operations for me."

The massive Demon known as Luth immediately nodded before noticing Robin and crouching down.

"This is her, my Lord?"

"It is."

Luth sniffed her for a moment before smiling at her, a gesture that she couldn't help but smile at despite how utterly terrifying Luth was to look at.

"You are still a fledgling Etherious, but I can see the potential," Luth said as he rose back to his full height before beginning to take flight. "Trust your instincts Sister, trust your heart and above all … trust in your power."

Once Luth was high enough, he became coated in Etherious Aura and fired a colossal blast of dark energy at a building in the distance, roaring as it blew away half a mountain before taking off in that general direction.

Robin was completely floored at what she had just seen, but Avenger didn't seem bothered by it in the slightest. In fact, when the massive blast hit the mountain, the Revolutionary Army roared, cheering as half a mountain was just nuked away by a Demon.

"Um…"

"Come Nico Robin, let's go speak to my Master," Avenger said with a smile as he placed a hand on her shoulder and they suddenly appeared further up the bridge, back where she had first been shot.

After getting over the shock of being teleported, she realized that the Revolutionary Army had completely taken the place over. Slaves were crying and thanking them as their chains and bomb collars were being removed, captured slavers were being taken away and many other Revolutionary Army troops were preparing to advance further up the bridge.

Avenger motioned for Robin to follow as he led her to the largest building in the town. After getting past the guards, they walked into a small sitting area where a medic began going over Robin's wounds.

Before she even had a chance to speak to the medic, she found herself frozen in place as the most wanted man in the entire world stepped into the room.

The World's Worst Criminal

The Man Who Defies The Gods

Supreme Commander Of The Revolutionary Army

The Father Of Luffy

Monkey D Dragon

Bounty – 6,775,400,000 Berries

Robin stared up at the tall, intimidating man, taking in his appearance.

He had long spiky black hair with a pronounced widows peak, some light stubble on his face and the signature dark red tattoo across the right side of his face he was well known for. He was wearing a long green cloak and an all-black suit underneath it.

"Nico Robin," Dragon muttered as he stared down at her with that fierce, legendary gaze. "I know this might not mean much, but on behalf of the Revolutionary Army, I'm deeply sorry for the loss of Ohara. The world is a much less intelligent place as a result of its destruction, the loss of Clover in particular a serious blow to the scientific field."

Robin could only nod stiffly, still shocked at what was happening.

"Rest assured, the destruction of Ohara and the loss of the near millennia's worth of knowledge it contained will be paid in blood. Your Mother, Nico Olvia, was one of our best field operatives, and her loss will also be paid in blood."

"Y-You knew my Mother!?"

"She was one of our Officers, actually," Dragon replied, his anger at her death clearly evident. "Those bastards up in Mariejois will pay for her death, as they will pay for so many others…"

Robin couldn't help but be touched at the fact such an important figure cared about her Mother and mourned her death.

"Anyway, we can discuss your Mother more later if you'd like, but for now I'd like to speak with you about a few things."

"Of course," Robin replied immediately. "What is it?"

"Avenger here said that you have been altered into one of those Etherious Demons," Dragon said as he looked her over. "Is it true?"

Robin nodded slowly as her hair started waving about the place, demonstrating her control over it before revealing her fangs.

"I have several abilities, but I was only made one during the Enies Lobby incident, as I'm sure you're well aware?"

"I am, which leads me to my next question," Dragon replied with a nod. "The one who turned you was Natsu Dragneel, correct?"

Robin nodded immediately in response. It wasn't surprising that a man like Dragon would likely want more info on Natsu, considering what he'd done at Sabaody.

"Yes, it was."

"Your arrival here took approximately one week, so you likely aren't aware yet about what he's been up to following his public torture and execution of three Celestial Dragons."

"What's he done since then," Robin asked curiously. "I assume he's been trying to find us?"

"Actually, he and Luffy broke into Impel Down and freed many high-level prisoners, including your former boss and his men as well as one of my Commanders," Dragon replied with Robin gaping in shock.

"WH-WHAT!?"

"Natsu then destroyed Impel Down entirely, killing Warden Magellan."

"B-But why would he do that!?"

"Natsu and Luffy appeared to be trying to save Portgas D Ace who had been captured by the Pirate Blackbeard. He was taken to Marineford before they could spring him at Impel Down however and so they set off to Marineford after him.

"What …"

"Luckily for him, Whitebeard and the Servant State were leading a joint operation on Marineford to save Ace at the same time so he had help once he arrived. He killed tens of thousands of World Government troops but ultimately failed to save Ace."

Robin was completely speechless, unable to believe all of this happened over one week.

"His current whereabouts are unknown; however, I believe he's with Luffy right now."

"I-I see…"

"Do you know why I'm talking to you about all of this, Nico Robin?"

"I-I assume you want to recruit Natsu into the Revolutionary Army," Robin asked only for Dragon to surprisingly shake his head in response. "No?"

"A man like Natsu Dragneel would not take orders from someone like me," Dragon replied before looking at Avenger. "Besides, he's doing good work out there as he goes along with the Straw Hats. Many in the Revolutionary Army see him as a Hero for what he did on Sabaody, his destruction of Impel Down and his assault on Marineford. Even his actions at Enies Lobby prior to all of this earned him respect."

Dragon turned to face Avenger before nodding.

"Nico Robin. I'd like to offer you Avenger's services to help train you to better control your abilities," Dragon said which shocked her greatly.

"What!?"

"I wish for you to return with us to our headquarters and learn what you can from us," Dragon continued.

"I-I'm honoured you'd offer me this … but why?"

Dragon sighed and looked out the window at the various slaves who were being freed from their shackles and bomb collars, his gaze hardening.

"For you personally, I'm doing this out of respect for Nico Olvia and all she stood for. I'm also doing this because I want Natsu Dragneel to know the Revolutionary Army are grateful for all he's done so far to stand up to the corrupt and tyrannical Celestial Dragons and World Government. But … I'm also doing this for my Son."

Robin couldn't argue with the man's reasoning, it was completely sound. Though outwardly he appeared stoic, it was obvious he was very passionate.

She only had to think about it for a short moment before nodding as she stood up, Dragon and Avenger moving to face her.

"I accept your offer, Dragon. Should you require any of my knowledge, like being able to read the Poneglyphs, don't hesitate to ask," Robin said firmly with Dragon cracking a brief smile.

"I don't doubt we will need to make use of that skill somewhere," the fierce man grinned before returning to his stoic demeanour. "Avenger, make sure Robin gets back to Baltigo safely and have Koala tend to her."

"Yes Master," Avenger nodded.

"You will not regret this choice Nico Robin, I promise you," Dragon said as she felt Avenger place a hand on her shoulder, preparing to teleport them. "Even this is not enough to make up for the life you've been forced to live, but it's the best we can do."

"And I'm grateful for that, Dragon," Robin replied with the man stiffly nodding.

"We will speak later," the man said as he turned and left the room.

"Ready to go Robin," Avenger asked as Robin looked over her shoulder to face him, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What is it?"

"You … sort of look like Natsu … now that I think about it …"

Avenger simply smirked in response as the two teleported away to the Revolutionary Army Headquarters in Baltigo, a land hidden from the World Government, leaving behind Tequila Wolf.

As they left, Robin pondered what the future had in store for her. However, her mind moved to Natsu and what he'd done from the moment they had been separated.

She was interested to hear both his and Luffy's side of the story, that much was certain. But, for now, she would train with Avenger and the rest of the Revolutionary Army. She would learn to better control her powers.

She would not let her friends down again.

Hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you in the next one!
