Izuku's POV

Recommendation exams were easier than he thought they would be. Even if he was guaranteed a spot at UA he thought it would difficult. Maybe it was because he he had both ki and One for All.

Though using ki had become much more dangerous to use since the business tower. According to Heo Won-Jae the more he used his ki the faster he would die. Using his quirk seemed to be safe for the moment but only time would tell.

Won-Jae had also informed him of the timeline for his immanent demise. Give or take he would be dead within a year. Which meant he needed to find someone to pass down One For All to and his ki techniques. Speaking of Murim he somewhat regretted how harsh he was to Gyu Bum.

Flashback

Fox face stood in front of him surprise clear on his face. He really should not be surprised at Izuku's attitude. Things between him and other members of Murim would never be good.

They hated and dismissed his master because of his blood. The same kind of blood that went through Izuku. Only difference between master and student was that Chun got away. Izuku didn't.

It was his decision to stay behind. That was not something he would ever blame his master for. No the only ones that could be blamed for his current condition was Izuku himself and Yoochun. If Izuku ever met Yoochun again they would find out if he was capable of murder. Only one of them would be walking away from that fight.

Gyu Bum said finally recovering from his shock, "But Izuku-nim..."

Izuku dismissively stated trying to get around the man, "I am no longer part of Murim. With my center in it's current state practicing the techniques taught to me is detrimental to my health."

"Well about that..." tried the man again.

Izuku snapped his green eyes flashing with barely concealed rage, "My master is gone. Another tried to kill me. I want nothing to do with that world any longer. Goodbye."

End of flashback

Honestly at the time he thought the man would keep coming after him. It had been weeks since the last he heard from Gyu Bum or anyone else from Murim. In fact the strangest thing that had happened was the injured red head girl from this morning.

She almost made him late for the exams when he stopped to treat her injuries. Not that she had been the least bit thankful for his help. At best she seemed to think he was looking down upon her. At worst she thought he was going to try and take advantage of her.

In the end all she let him do was basic first aid and he barely made it in time for his exams. Now that he thought about it he never got her name. Weird maybe they would meet again. Hopefully under better circumstances.

As he approached the UA gates a frown crossed his face. There were a few unmarked super expensive cars. Dont tell him. That man didnt get the hint the last time they spoke. Did he?

Sure enough Gyu Bum in his usual suit jumped from the car shouting, "Izuku-nim!"

Damn it! He knew it!

"Its so good to see that you're safe."

Izuku glanced back behind him at UA. Right safe. He's in the safest place that he could possibly be in. Part of him wonders if it's too late to wander back inside and ask if one of the teachers would take him home.

Scratch that. He didnt want Aizawa to think he couldnt take of himself. That was afterall how he got the teacher's recommendation.

When the man tried to grab his arm and drag him to the car Izuku snarled, "Let go! I have already told you I dont want to go with you. I dont belong in that world any longer."

The man tried to insist, "That is not the issue right now. It appears that some people are after you."

That made him pause and ask, "Huh? Who exactly is after me?"

Going back inside the building was looking more promising by the second. Even if it made him appear weak the heroes would be able to protect his mother. She was his first priority in this instance.

Like Izuku, Inko Midoriya had grown increasingly busy. She was always going to and from her jobs. They rarely if ever got to see each other anymore. Honestly he missed their dinner chats. But he knew that she was happy with her new position. In turn that made him happy for her.

Gyu Bum said his tone turning dark and serious, "Even we arent sure exactly who is targeting you. But if you dont come to the Sunwoo Clan right now who knows what might happen."

Izuku deadpanned at that, "So what you're telling me, is that you dont know who is after me. But if I dont go with you right now to the Sunwoo Clan something might happen to me?"

"Yes," nodded the man solemnly.

Izuku pinched the bridge of his nose as he said enunciating clearly to ensure the man understood, "You know I almost fell for that, if only to keep my mother safe. I'm actually quite angry now. You only said those things to get me to come with you."

"Wait that's not it at all," tried to reason the man.

Anger surged through him and with it so did his ki. Lightning jumped at his call brokenly moving across his skin. He shouldn't he using his ki like this. It would only hasten his decline but he would not be taken advantage of.

A cold voice said from behind him, "I would suggest you leave the kid alone, Gyu Bum. This is UA property after all and it appears to me that you're trying to kidnap one of examinees."

Izuku turned to face a very grumpy looking Aizawa Shouta. Honestly he shouldn't be surprised that the man knew of Gyu Bum being an underground hero meant he had to know as much as possible. Even if Murim stayed mostly out of the way of heroes.

Gyu Bum snapped, "Eraserhead. Stay out of this. This doesnt concern you."

Aizawa said his hand on the capture scarf around his neck, "Actually as I am the mentor for this student it does concern me. Do not make me remove you by force Murim Retainer Gyu Bum one of the four Supernovas of the Murim Alliance."

That's right. If Gyu Bum really wanted to he could hurt Izuku. In fact the boy knew he wouldnt be able to fight on the level he did

To Izuku Aizawa said, "Get back to the school. Present Mic and I will drive you home."

Izuku didnt hesitate to step back through the gates. If Aizawa said it was okay that meant he wouldnt get into trouble for it. Sure enough none of the UA security procedures activated.

As he turned back he saw Aizawa bury his knee into the man's abdomen. Internally he winced in sympathy despite his dislike for the man. That had to hurt even if the man was a member of Murim.

Then he turned around and moved through the gates. When Gyu Bum recovered their gazes met. He mouthed, "Please."

Izuku shook his head. He didnt trust them as far as he could throw them. Turning on his heel he followed Aizawa back into the school.
