A look into what had happened to our favorite Vapran princess during that time. Takes a little before Ghost got the Darkening. If you're having issues accessing my poll, please add it to the review. Let's begin.

The sun was high in the morning light. A group of Gelflings walked in the forest. All wearing a shade of cobalt blue. A small river to the field of green before them. On their heads were jester-like hats. The bells jingled with each movement they made. All of this signifying the members of the Order of Lesser Service. Among the members was none other than Brea.

Brea looked down mournfully at her dress. It's only been a few hours and already she hates it all. This is ridiculous, She thought. I just wanted some answers. Not my fault that Elder Cadia tried to wipe my mind clean with Nullroot! I'm sure Ghost would understand that. Her mind wandered back to the memories of what had happened at the tithing ceremony. How Ghost took command without trying to. Getting through her mother and the lords. She shook herself. She only heard word about Mira's death and Ghost being involved with Arathim. Right now, she needed answers.

"That means you, princess."

Brea was snapped back into reality. She walked with the others. Trying to ignore the remarks the other members were saying to her. Each step becomes aggravating. Her ears twitched as she began to hear some laughter. As they got closer, she soon found herself staring at a small village of Podlings. Their home was nothing more than a hollowed out seed from one of the giant trees. All of them singing, laughing and playing around in the mud. Even one of them actually ate the mud. Surprisingly, one of the Podlings was doing laundry.

"Oh no!" One of the members exclaimed. "Not The Deterge!"

Brea tilted. The Deterge? The next thing she knew, everyone started to grab the frightened Podlings. She ran after the one she had to bath. She cringed with disgust as she noticed one of the Podlings chewing on his toe. Once Brea got her Podling, she only received non stop kicking and struggle. She looked at the leader of the order. "How long do I have to do this?"

"Oh…" The leader took a moment before answering. "A trine for you, princess."

"A WHOLE TRINE!" She exclaimed. Her eyes wide with disbelief. "I can't do that! I need to find answers. The answers to the beginning or the end."

The leader only gave a funny look. "I think you suffered Sun Frenzy." Suddenly, Brea's Podling jumped out of the bathtub and ran. "Don't just stand there! Go get her!"

Brea ran after the Podling. "Come back here, Podling." She kept running and running until she cornered the Podling. Brea sighed with annoyance. "Ok. Here's the deal. You don't want to be clean and I don't want to be in the order. If you don't tell anyone I ran away, I won't bath you. Deal?" Her answer was soon met with the Podling happily making snow angels on the ground. Brea seized her opportunity and ran in another direction.

As she ran further away, the princess soon found herself in a mildly dense fog. She couldn't see where she was going. She tumbled. Her mind went back to what Onica said. Brea had to find her mother's jewel before the evening ended. Suddenly, a Landstrider's bellow echoed across the land. A silhouetted shape appeared in the fog. Brea gasped. "That Podling squealed on me!" She immediately ran for cover.

The Landstrider kept running until it halted. It let out a long bellow. Sitting on top of the creature was none other than Tavra. "Whoa! Whoa! Easy!" She looked around. Her golden eyes piercing through the white clouds. "Show yourself! Where are you?"

Brea peeked out from behind her hiding place. "Tavra?"

Tavra looked in the direction of the voice. "Brea? What are you doing here?"

Brea looked on nervously. "Um...I can explain." She gulped. "I ran away from the Order of the Lesser Service. I didn't want to spend a whole trine wearing jingly hats and getting kicked in the face by a dirty Podling!"

"So you ran away?"

"Yes!"

Tavra smiled. "Good." She got off of her Landstrider.

Brea got out of her hiding place. She took off her hat and looked at it for a moment. Then, in fury tossed it on the ground. "Good riddance!" She gave a firm stamp before she walked over to Tavra. Brea hugged her sister immediately. "It's so good to see you."

"You too." Tavra looked at her sister. Then, her face took on a serious frown. "You must be careful. There are strange creatures running around Thra. I was about to give mother the latest report. I've also been taking note of the strange rot in our land. I have a bad feeling that the lords might be hiding something."

"I was planning to find that out myself." Brea said. She knelt down and picked up a stick. She gracefully drew the lines of what she'd seen in the library. "I had visions back in the library. It was these symbols. All I have to do is get the greatest treasure mother has and I'll have the Sifan guide me in the right direction."

Tavra sighed. "You do realize that you'll have to face Seladon, right?"

Brea soured her face. "As if she'll listen to me."

"I know she's-"

"Cold as the most bitter winter." Brea crossed her arms in a pout.

Tavra smiled again. "You know you two are a lot alike than you think." She laughed at Brea's shocked expression. "It may not look like that, but you two strive to do what's best for everyone and make mother proud. The bonds of sisterhood are stronger than you know." With that, she went back to her Landstrider and climbed on. "I have to return to my post. Find out what you can." She commanded her Landstrider to move forward. Tavra soon vanished in the fog.

Brea sighed. She looked down at her dress. "Well...better get out of this."

-(Sometime later, at Ha'rar Citidel)-

Brea managed to get back to the citadel without being seen. Now back in her usual outfit, she hid behind a corner as she watched the gate. To her dismay, Seladon was there. Along with Onica, the Sifa Maudra and Elder Cadia. The Elder was still saying hello to everyone like an eager childling. Even the paladin wasn't amused by this. Brea cringed. "Definitely not going in that way." She looked around then remembered about the library. She ran to the place, confused the startled librarian and jumped off the balcony. Brea was in the sky in a matter of minutes.

Inside the Citadel, All Maudra Mayrin looked into Brea's diary. Her heart squeezed painfully in her chest. Each word was like hearing Brea in the room. An image of Ghost appeared on the page. The white Gelfling looking regal among the other Gelflings at the Tithing Ceremony. "My daughter is gone."

Seladon was soon by her mother's side. Her face firm but something in her heart felt twisted. "I'm still here mother."

Mayrin turned to her. "Oh you know what I mean."

Seladon walked over to her. "Mother...There's been the death of a Vapran Castle Guard. Monsters are attacking. A traitor is on the loose and there's been a political incident. You must remember your duty."

Mayrin turned to her. "Your right. Let's get going." She looked at Seladon. Her own wings flared out. "Straighten one of your wings, Seladon. You look crooked." With that, she and Seladon left the room.

Brea soon flew in. She looked around to see if anyone was there. Once the coast was clear, Brea grabbed her journal and one of the strange glowing stones that always hung above her mother's chambers. She tucked them away. She stepped over the ledge and went out before anyone would notice her. Brea turned the direction of the Sifa camp.

-(Coast of the Silver Seas)-

The twilight soon reached its point. Brea arrived as fast as she could. Panting hard. She went into the tent where she'd last seen Onica. To her dismay, the tent was empty. Brea bowed her head. "I'm too late…" Then, she saw Oncia walk in. Her eyes widened in surprise. "You're here!"

Onica nodded. "Just in time as well."

Brea handed the strange jewel to Oncia. "Here?"

Onica gave her a questioned look.

"Now tell me."

Onica was still confused. "What's this?"

"I've given you your payment! Now tell me the answer! Sifas never work for free."

Onica rolled her eyes. "This isn't payment. It's your answer."

Now it was Brea's turn to be confused. "I don't understand."

"How could one that know so much would know so little?" Oncia shook her head. "The real treasure is this. Your clan's totem animal: The Imperial Unamoth. This crysalis hold this creature. It's ready to embark. Follow it and you'll find the answers you seek." Suddenly, a loud boom was heard over ocean waves. Onica and Brea stepped outside to see a Black Castle crumbling in the far distance. Shadows flickered in and out of the light.

Brea's eyes widened. "What in Thra?"

Onica's eyes widened in shock. She turned to Brea. "You must be careful, princess. A deadly darkness looms over Thra. One that will consume light and shadow. Leaving nothing but true death in its wake. Beware of the bone beasts. Find the star-kissed maiden. Carry the sun and find the moon! Look for the nine shadows and the blue-eyed prince!" She soon sang a song to the chrysalis. Soft and clear. In a matter of moments, a red moth creature crawled out. A trail of light leaving behind it.

Brea followed it just as Onica instructed. She flew as fast as she could. In a matter of moments, she was back at the Vapran Citadel. The Unamoth flew up to the throne where it pressed against an impression alone the back. She watched in amazement as stairs that were hidden beneath the throne appeared before her. Without hesitation, Brea went down the steps as the entrance closed behind her.

-(Under Citadel, several hours later….)-

Brea sat on the rock. She stared at the pages of her journal. The symbols of the seven clans glared back at her as if they needed an answer. She just had done the latest combination to a riddle that she found written in the doorway. Her fingers rolled the pencil in her her lap was a green stone surrounded by a golden ring.

She sighed. "What am I missing? Vapra should be the highest of the clans, but it stopped when I got to the Sifas. Then, it changed to the Grottens. It doesn't make any sense. How could one clan be better than the rest?" Suddenly, a realization hit her. She then remembered Ghost's scratched face. The white Gelfling's attempt to hide her sorrow. Her friendly nature towards Brea. "Unless...no clan is better than the other." She got up and looked at the room once more. "This isn't a puzzle." She set the stone down. "It's a lie."

Suddenly, the room began to glow. The symbols lighting up. Joyful of their riddle being solved. Colors swirled around her. Stones jumped and jumbled as they took the form of a strange stone beast. It was so tall it nearly scrapped the ceiling. Two smaller stones formed a face. Despite the lack of eyes, it seemed to be staring at Brea.

"Uh...hello...my name's Brea. What's yours?" No answer came. Her heart nearly stopped as a needle popped out of his arm. "Wait! What are you doing?!" She was ready for the worst as the needle neared her face. Suddenly, it backed away and the needle laid against the rolling stone on it's arm.

"Do not be alarmed," Said a voice. It wasn't from the creature, but from someone else. "This is Lore."

"Hello, Lore."

"He will be your guide and protector. He's already imprinted on you. You must journey to the circle of the suns. There you will find the key to ending Skeksis rule." With that, the message ended.

"Guess that's what I'll have to do." Brea said. Then, she thought of what Onica had said. What did she mean 'carry the sun'?

"You will not!"

Brea turned around to see her older sister Seladon stand before her. The eldest princess held a stony expression but her eyes burned with pure anger. Arms crossed on her chest. Lips tight. Signs of exhaustion apparent on her face.

"Seladon-"

"Save it!" Seladon growled. "Your childish rebellion has gone too far! First leaving the order and now this THING!? When will you grow-" Her words were cut by a mighty boom. Seladon rubbed her temples. "Oh Thra! What now?!"

Brea ran toward the noise. Lore tried to run behind but bumped his head on the roof of the tunnel. Brea gave some assurance before continuing to run. She ran up the steps and back into the throne room. She noticed that a wall of purple feathers covered one of the turned around to see Seladon march after her. Whatever remark her sister was about to say to her turned into a squeak. Brea switched back to the window to see a sapphire blue eye staring right at them.

"Oh Brea…" Seladon spoke. "What have you done?"

Finished! Remember to review and do my poll in order for the story to continue. Tried my best to remember the words from the episode where Brea wore a jester hat. (LOL!)For Thra!
