Izuku's POV

It was three days after his meeting with the Sunwoo Clan elders. Gyu Bum made his presence less obvious but Jinnie was a constant presence. His only reprieve was when he was at home.

Even when he trained, not with All Might since the other was busy, Jinnie was nearby. She watched him stoically with a cold look. For the most part he ignored her but it meant he couldn't practice One For All. She couldn't know about the quirk that wasn't his.

When he did get time to himself to practice it was still difficult. He was focusing on control more than anything else. Control was difficult with ki and quirk. At one point he'd love to practice using them together. But until he gained more control that was a far off dream.

Another change that happened over a short time was Katsuki joining him on his trips to and from home. When he was walking home a familiar female voice called, "Izuku!"

A grin spread across his face as he returned the greeting, "Sera! What brings you here?"

Sera glanced around noting his shadow before she said, "I was wondering if you could come by the Artist's School. We want to check your ki pellets as well as teach you a new technique. One that will give you an edge."

"Of course I can. When works best for you?"

Three days later found him in the Artist's School. The Munju of the school had asked him to come. He wasn't sure what she wanted of him but he had come like she asked.

Sera greeted him with a smile," Izuku it is good to see you again. Master Yae Won is waiting for us in the training hall."

He said bowing slightly," It is good to see you as well Sera. What is this about? I wasn't told anything."

She only smiled and indicated for him to follow her. They went to a meditation room. He had been there once with his teacher. It hadn't changed much since then. Master Yae Won stood in the middle of the room. While he was short for his age she made him look like a giant. She barely came up past his knee.

He bowed deeply to her and said," Good morning Master Yae Won. What am I here for? I am preparing to enter UA High School."

The old master motioned for him to sit in front of her. She said seriously," You won't be ready if you keep down the course your going down. I have a training method that would better prepare you without putting your center in further danger of cracking."

Izuku took a seat interested now. He asked," What kind of training is this? Why have I just heard about it now?"

She said with a sigh, "Because it requires a person of a certain mindset. We rarely take anyone outside of the clan to learn this technique because of it. Sera says you're special and she has vouched for you. It is called Outer Body Training Method. It will allow you to face past opponents and use all techniques freely."

Nodding his acceptance he asked," What does this technique entail? Master Yae Won I am not an idiot. I studied under two of the most powerful fighters in the world."

The old master said," The key to this technique is meditation. Calming the mind and remembering your past opponents. Do you wish to begin now?"

When he nodded she continued," Then remove your shirt. I will help you with the ki distribution and first stages of this technique."

He stripped himself of both his sweatshirt and undershirt before sitting down in front of her. She placed her hands on his back and he brought his own in front of him. With his eyes shut he focused on his breathing and ki flow.

After what felt like only a few moments he could feel something else directing his ki. Forcing the large amounts of unpurified ki to flow equally throughout his body. At first it was painful. It reminded him of when he first started taking the ki pellets. Forcing it to do so was extremely painful on the user.

Finally it was flowing evenly throughout his body. In his meditative state he could see dark surrounding him.

Yae Won said sounding far off," Good. Now envision your previous enemies. Call them to fight you once again."

He focused on his first true enemy when he joined Murim. Rud the boy that taught him half step. The boy who took him under his wing after Tiger abandoned him. The tall boy appeared in front of him. His hands deep in his jean pockets looking bored.

The instant the other had used a foot technique to bring himself right in front of Izuku. They exchanged blows neither of them giving an inch in their attacks. Izuku used every technique he had learned to its fullest. A lightning fist struck Rud in the stomach sending him flying.

Not giving the other a moment to recover he continued with the attack. He kept pushing the other harder and faster. Eventually the memory stopped getting back up. It took several moments to realize that even with how long it had been. It was still instinctual to use his purified ki.

He focused on the memory of Yoochun on the night he had been expelled as his disciple. Even though it been over half a decade since it had happened he still remembered it vividly. Yoochun appeared in his usual t-shirt and and shorts.

He took an open stance that mirrored his once master's own. He quickly changed it to a half step stance dodging blows without really moving. In his complacency he had forgotten how fast Yoochun was. The man was one of the fast Murim masters elemental or not alive. Even the half step couldn't save him from a multitude of blows.

He hadn't even had the chance to counter the attacks. So far he could only dodge or take them.

Yae Won's POV

She watched over the boy that was her charge. Izuku Midoriya was not what she expected when she heard about him from Sera. If she was honest she was expecting someone like Goomoonryong. Instead he found a child with a pure heart. Even only knowing Midoriya for a few moments he could see that.

How did such a child get so close to the Dragon? Why hadn't the Murim noticed him before? This child was proof that the Dragon was hellbent on creating another monster.

Midoriya she had known beforehand had a damaged center. That if he kept the way he was going he would be dead in less than a year. But she could sense the potential within him. If he did survive (there was no doubt in her mind he would) he would be able to overtake any member of the Murim.

Sera questioned as she came up next to Yae Won, "How is he doing? Was I correct when I brought him here?"

"You were," she answered coolly, "That child is taking to the technique like a fish to water. Looking at him is like looking at a younger version of Goomoonryong."

"He is the man's disciple," tried Sera but even she was pale at the thought.

Yae Won said with a shake of her head, "No its more than that. This boy can use soul crushing strike like it is nothing. The Outer Body Training Method was learned within a few hours. Rumors had it that Goomoonryong was the same way in his youth. If we are not careful he will end up being just like his master."

Sera frowned, "I think he has too good of a heart to turn into that man. He wants to be a hero."

"Goomoonryong was a naive child at one point," retorted Yae Won, "People like him are not born. They are created. And the Murim Alliance under its previous head created the monster we now know. The Alliance killed Unwol, Goomoonryong's master."

Sera looked shocked, "What are you talking about? Why would they kill him?"

Yae Won sighed, "You might as well get comfortable. This is not a kind or easy to tell story."

Sera did as she was bid.

"Few people remember Unwol these days or the horror that he done. Unwol was a tall, muscular, and imposing man with long, flowing hair which was tied up at the top. Very little is known about his youth or his own master. What we do know about him is starting with the Black Origin Threshold."

Sera flinched but didn't interrupt her, "As you know Black Origin Threshold is a state that represents the purest form of the Black Heaven and Earth Black Origin Threshold causes the natural flow of the Ki to flow in reverse and signifies the moment when one surpasses the limits of the consciousness and the subconsciousness, the enemy & the self, and becomes the purest "Mu" (Fighting Spirit), but this is also its greatest weakness. Despite being the ultimate Ki circulation technique, Black Origin Threshold is also considered to be Murim's worst demon art. How this happens is the biggest mystery of our world. The only ones who know are Goomoonryong and that boy."

Now they both looked at the boy who was still lost within his own mind. Were they right in teaching him Outer Body Training Method? Were they going to create a worse monster than Goomoonryong? A good heart would only last so long.

She continued after a moment, "While we don't know who their master was, we do know that Unwol and the previous Alliance Chief were once students of the same master. Their master chose Unwol over the previous Chief. This broke them apart and created a lasting hatred that would end in Unwol's death and the creation of Goomoonryong. Years later, Unwol learned how to enter the uncontrollable state, the Black Origin Threshold, the highest-existing level of the martial spirit. He was summoned by the elders of the Murim to demonstrate and confirm the rumors about the technique. Unable to control it himself, Unwol massacred all the elders that had gone to see his demonstration. Unwol was named murderer and his crime was struck from the annals of the Murim. Although the majority wanted his death, at the suggestion of the Martial Alliance Chief, who hoped to one day extort the Black Heaven and Earth Technique from him, Un-Wol was banished to live the rest of his life in a cave in meditation. There he would be found by a boy who would become Goomoonryong."

"Has Izuku ever used it?"

Yae Won couldn't conceal her shudder as she said, "Yes if the rumors of what happened in the Alliance building is true. Then he used it on the rooftop as he faced off against the Masters."

"Years later, a young Han Chun-Woo would find Un-Wol's cave and begged Unwol to teach him martial arts. Unwol accepted Han Chun-Woo as his disciple and taught him the Black Heaven and Earth much later after Han Chun-Woo entered into and won the Shinmujengpe taking the title of Goomoonryong. The Alliance elders went to Unwol's cave having suspected his involvement. When Han Chun-Woo shows up and confirms the elders' suspicions, they stated the offense Un-Wol committed by taking on a disciple while under solitary exile."

She paused carefully choosing her next words, "The offense is made even worse than the disciple insulted the entire Murim at the Shinmujengpe. Chun-Woo argued with the elders over winning the tournament asking that the elders give him the wish promised and allow Un-Wol to leave the cave. The Alliance Chief simply states they made no such promise and intends to cover up such a thought with affirming the Murim will go along with whatever choice the Munju's make. Enraged Chun-Woo lashes out at the elders and is promptly attacked by Cho Jae-Myung , the Iron Fist Munju."

She shook her head tiredly, "Before Cho Jae-Myung can kill Han Chun-Woo, Unwol leaves the cave unnoticed grabbing Cho Jae-Myung 's wrist and throwing him a great distance away. The Alliance Chief then scolded him for daring to leave the cave as well as he reminded him of the punishment he himself spoke of if he were to ever leave the cave without permission. Unwol simply asked the Alliance Chief if he still desired the Black Heaven and Earth Technique. Deciding to negotiate the Alliance Chief states that if he gives him the technique then they will spare Han Chun-Woo, but he must destroy his Ki-Center and lock away his martial arts. Understanding what would be required of him Uneol gives his answer by impaling his fingers through his chest into his heart, effectively killing himself. He states that he understands how much the Alliance Chief wants the Black Heaven and Earth Technique, thus, in turn, securing that the only one who knows the technique, Han Chun-Woo, cannot be harmed by them unless they wished to lose the technique forever. Un-Wol then quickly dies of blood loss as Han Chun-Woo screams in shock."

Yae Won leaned heavily on her cane as she paused. Then said, "I like so many others were there that day. If I had done something to stop the Chief maybe we wouldn't be in this mess now. For that was the day Goomoonryong as our enemy was born."

Sera asked, "Why are you telling me this?"

"To understand why Goomoonryong acts as he does. And how fortunate you are to be trusted enough to give his disciple ki pellets. Be careful not to lose that trust."
