Kazuma ran towards the village's gates, he wanted to turn back and help Elizabeth fight, but the woman knew the village better than he did, there must have been a reason why the leaders of the village even bothered to do this.
It took no effort on their part to just walk up to him and offer him to stay, and considering that the people here had been nice to him, he would have agreed.
Kazuma began to slow down and even as he exited the gates of the village, the realization hit him.
The villages leaders knew that Elizabeth would know that they were planning something and either never leave or she would come back and rescue him
No that wasn't right if they wanted to get rid of her, then they didn't need him unless they wanted Elizabeth to send him away so that she couldn't get in the way.
Kazuma finally stops walking when he realizes that the guards are gone and while the entrance to the village was never a place filled with people, there were at least people there.
"But there's no one here now." Kazuma says to himself, but before he can turn and run back to the walls of the village or at the very least run in another direction the sand underneath him begins to move and starts to pull him down.
Inside the village, the receptionist runs out of the Missions Office and calls Elizabeth, and tells her to run to the entrance of the village, Elizabeth doesn't waste any time and moves as fast as she can.
As the sand pulls his hands underground Kazuma quickly takes a deep breath just in case his head is covered by sang and calls to his Create Earth skill.
Dozens upon dozens of tiny rocks form underneath him and he uses them to himself out from the desserts grip, but it hurts like hell and the sand has already gotten into everything.
He can feel his magic starting to run out, so he forces himself to drain as much as he can from the world around him and uses that energy to create even more rocks.
For a long moment to everyone that was watching the scene, Kazuma looked as if he was standing still, while the desert around him moved.
Kazuma began to look around for anything that he could use, every time he stopped making rocks to push himself out of the living hole that he was stuck in, he was pulled back into the sand.
Then he remembered the walls of the village were right behind him.
He quickly turns his head and marks his teleporting point and teleports away just as the desert sand is about to cover his head, Kazuma can't help but gasp for air, that was too close.
His skills come to life and he uses his escape skill along with his dodge skill to avoid the pillars of sand that are being thrown at him, unfortunately for whoever is doing this he's ready for them now.
Elizabeth gave him back his things, and while he hasn't needed any of them, his time as an adventurer tough him to never leave home without them.
He calls upon whatever power he managed to take from the desert and pours him into his skills and activates his Wind Breath Skill along with his Create Earth Skill and fires a sandstorm towards whoever is shooting at him.
The pillars of sand shoot through the sandstorm, but whoever is firing at him is unable to see him and so the only thing that he has to do is guess where the person is.
Kazuma reaches into his pocket and takes the wire that he has gotten so used to using and he can't help but smile, he has to rely on his luck for this to work, it's a good thing that he's always been lucky.
Kazuma runs towards the direction of where the pillars are coming from and uses his Enemy Detection Skill that tells him that his enemy is somehow a giant monster and someone that's slightly smaller than he is.
It doesn't matter as the results will be the same, he quickly creates a small rock and ties it with the wire before throwing it at the person or creature.
The wire comes to life and wraps itself around the person who grows in anger.
Kazuma can't help but gasp for air, and he can't help but say. "Who the hell are you!?" to the boy with red hair and dark circles under his eyes.
The red-haired boy lets out a loud grow before the sand underneath Kazuma fires itself around him and begins to spin and covering his body so that he can't move.
Kazuma widens his eyes with horror as the sand begins to pull him into the desert faster than before but slow enough that he can see the light-skinned redhead grinning at him.
Kazuma can feel his heat beating in his chest as it's being crushed by the pressure of the desert.
"Aqua!" is the last thing that he can say before the desert swallows him.
In the other world, Aqua's eyes glow with the powers of a goddess who hears her partner's dying breath, her goddess form stands before the death and grabs it by the neck before telling it no and sending it away.
"See I told you, you're hopeless without me." Aqua says to Kazuma as she pours her energy into him.
Elizabeth runs out of the village and can only stare as Kazuma is eaten alive by the desert, she can only lower her head, she did the one thing that she is never supposed to do.
She grew attached and tried to save him and for what? He died anyway.
The desert began to shake as something was forcing its way outElizabeth realized what was happening, but she couldn't believe it even as she was seeing it.
A giant golem made out of rocks tore its way out of the ground and held an enraged Kazuma in its left hand.
The golem's massive right hand was aimed at Gaara, the one boy who was fighting with Kazuma.
Elizabeth forced her blood to pump faster into her eyes, she could see all of the cracks in the golem's body, she ran towards the stone giant and drove her fist into the cracks destroying it before it could do any harm.
