Forgot to mention last chapter, when I was going back to edit the chapters. I noticed in chapter 19 where Sivert goes into the Scorn Raider's mind that I put 'Fantatic' as the one leading the Scorn.
No.. no Fikrul. I meant to put a Scorn the size of a Baron but decided to just put Scorn Baron that's leading them. So no fanatic.
Enjoy!
Chapter 24, A Demon's Loyalty
Kingdom of Ingrassia
It was a cold night, the streets were fairly quiet. Good enough for a meeting in the park.
The Hunter walked down the brick pathway and towards a man who was looking out into a lake with the moon and stars reflecting off of it.
"It's good to see you again my friend. Sivert." the man turned around.
A man with long blonde hair tied into a low pony tail that reached down his back. He wore an expensive eastern suit.
"Shut it Damrada. I know what your plans were when you sent me that letter." Sivert replied in a cold tone.
He wore his Hunter armor (From Vol 19.) and carried his Ace.
Damrada looked the Hunter into his dark golden eyes. While a different color, they still held the warrior deep within them.
"Hmph.. I underestimated you.."
Sivert crossed his arms, he was giving the rich merchant an annoyed expression.
"The Hero Sivert.. Oh forgive me. Former.. you retired did you not? No one's seen you for five years. Except me and a few others of course.. but you look so different. So it's no wonder your walking around freely without a helmet..""
Damrada turned slightly back around to look back at the lake.
"You wanted me to kill Rimuru because you knew I could kill him without breaking a sweat." The Hunter mused.
"Yet he lives.. you must've found out my intentions before attacking him. So what are you going to do now? Kill me?"
His question was expected though not in those words. Still Sivert wasn't going to deny that, best he don't reveal his employment under Rimuru.
"No. I'm going to give you a warning. Don't contact me ever again or I will truly kill you." His voice had iron in it, yet so quiet.
Damrada turned to look back at him. "Very well.. but you do know that I know where you live.. where you keep those fellow 'Guardians' of yours. What is it you follow? 'The Light?'"
Damrada lifted his right hand and gently caressed his chin with two fingers. "Any of whom that follow another god or entity aside from the 'God' Luminas will be charged with treason."
Sivert uncrossed his arms as he quickly understood what road Damrada was heading.
"I wonder what the Western Nations would have to say. A Hero who follows another god... They will come for you.."
Damrada's eyes locked with Sivert's.
"Let them come then. They will regret it.."
Sivert would happily follow down that road.
The Hunter turned around and walked away, leaving the famous 'Fist Saint' alone in the large park.
Damrada chuckled quietly, "You fearless bastard.."
The friendly slime plopped down onto his chair, he was sitting in an office. This was Shizue's office.
He felt nostalgic when looking around, even after already using this office the day he became a teacher.
He turned around with he chair and opened the window behind him, letting the morning wind in. Rimuru was glad they had rolling chairs!
So much easier to move around in. He turned back around to face his desk and started checking the drawers out of curiosity.
There was nothing.
He crossed his arms, "Hm.. well. I guess they didn't keep anything of Shizue's when she left." He mused quietly.
A gust of wind blew against his face..
Rimuru looked up from the desk. Sitting on the chair on opposite side of the desk was a student of hers.
"How'd you…" Rimuru turned slightly around, he didn't even see Sivert!
He just felt him pass by and he appeared right there.
"Never mind.. it's only been five days and your worried about me?" he asked.
"Well.. yeah. I'm your Guardian."
Rimuru rolled his eyes and leaned back.
"I thought you were 'busy'. Did you already finish what you were doing?"
Sivert also leaned back, though he put one leg on top of the other.
"No.. I was taking care of old problems. I just came to check on you."
Rimuru flashed a grin, "I can take care of myself."
Sivert raised a brow and scoffed. "Really? Last I remember, a lone wolf came up into your town and almost killed you had you not helped him see his errors."
Rimuru's grin vanished.
"Well that's because your extraordinary, god killer! Even when you were holding back by a lot I still couldn't take you.. now. I don't even want to take you on. Especially when Milim mentioned you two fought to a draw!"
Sivert closed his eyes as those words entered his ears.
Though he won't admit it.. it wasn't a draw. No.. it was a one sided battle.
Milim was scary.
Especially that 'Drago Nova' attack of hers. Sivert tanked it with his glaive but the force almost shattered his entire body had he not reinforced it with Darkness, increasing his resilience.
Truly the daughter of 'God'..
Milim only calls it a draw because they never got to finish the fight. Courtesy to Frey for stopping Milim as another Drago Nova would most likely destroy the land around her kingdom.
Even now after becoming much more stronger then when he was a True Hero..
Sivert still feels inferior to Milim.
The Hunter opened his eyes, "Yeah.. well don't worry. We won't fight again and I won't attack you again."
Rimuru was glad to hear that.
"Still.. there are people who won't hold back against you like I did. You may have been named by Veldora but-"
"Huh?! You know?!" Rimuru interrupted with a shout as he jumped up from his chair.
"Well.. yeah it's kind of obvious. Storm Dragon suddenly disappears a year ago. Then a powerful slime appears with a name. It became more obvious when you told me the abilities of your unique skill 'Gluttony'. You ate his seal didn't you?"
Rimuru sat down and sighed. He was caught..
"Yes.."
"That confirms things then.."
"But I don't understand. If it's so obvious then why aren't other people figuring it out."
Sivert scoffed once again along with closing his eyes.
"Right.. let me rephrase. It was obvious to me. Other people are just stupid.."
Rimuru chuckled lightly, it seems he is starting to change more. If what Sivert said is true..
His old self 'Shin' was rude yet so cunning. Considering most people fools. He had quite a cold personality yet he was so protective and brave for his mother.
Willing to sacrifice anything for her wellbeing.
His choice of words right now were quite interesting to Rimuru. Sivert only said other people are just stupid.
He never said he was 'smarter' then them.
Well at least he wasn't so prideful or arrogant.
"So the citizens of Tempest are stupid?" Rimuru asked in a mischievous tone.
Sivert opened his eyes, locking his with Rimuru's.
"Yes."
Ouch..
No remorse.
"Stupid for not being able to figure that out. Not stupid in general.."
Sivert shot back and Rimuru was fatally wounded.
There was no coming back.
"Hm.." Rimuru raised both his legs and placed them on top of the desk. Accepting his defeat.
"So how are the children?"
Rimuru expected that question, so he had a quick answer.
"Great! I'm going to leave soon to the Dwelling of the spirits to get them spirits! I wouldn't have been able to find it without the help of a very friendly elf.."
Sivert's eyes slightly widened, "She's here?"
Rimuru snickered, "Perhaps.. or maybe she left?" he teased.
Sivert pouted mentally. He enjoys spending time with her. Even if he doesn't know her name yet.
He's just to afraid to ask despite the amount of affection she's given him.
"Damn.. well I can't go see her either way. I need to go back to the Temple. A few warlocks have been pestering me about summoning magic. Best I satisfy their curiosity before they get out of hand."
Rimuru gave a light nod in response before speaking. "You don't want to meet the children? It's the morning so they should be awake."
Sivert placed his right leg back on the ground and stood up.
"No. I hate kids.."
Harsh answer but truthful. "Besides.. they adore their Rimuru-sensei. I don't want to take your spot." Sivert said with a smirk.
Rimuru's brows furrowed. "Is that a challenge?"
Sivert reached down his right hand and drew his Ace out of his holster, showing it to Rimuru. He took it back not long ago once he felt ready..
"If their into Hero's like I've seen. Ask them about 'Ace'. Then you'll know how out of your league you are."
Sivert told him before holstering his Ace.
He turned around and took a few steps forward.
"Why?" Rimuru asked and stood up from his chair.
"You'll find out." Sivert turned around and gave Rimuru a small wave.
He left using Spatial Transportation.
"Mm.." Rimuru was super curious now!
So he went and asked the children. Their answers shattered his heart.
"Ace? The gun belonging to the Hero Sivert?! The Gunslinger!"
"He was Shizue-sensei's pupil!"
"Who do you think would win. Teacher or the Hero Sivert?"
"Definitely Sivert, it was said that his gun turned golden and left molten gold in it's wake! Rimuru-sensei doesn't stand a chance!"
"I want to meet him one day! I bet he's just as cool as the Hero Masayuki!"
Aside from Chloe..
Their answers full of admiration for the Hunter were like knives, piercing into his heart. They adored Sivert more then they adored him!
Then again, it made more sense. Rimuru has only known them for a almost a week.. they probably read all about Sivert when they first arrived at the academy.
And because Sivert was one of Shizue's students, there's no doubt that she talked a lot about him.
Rimuru truly had no chance and he regret asking the children Sivert's question.
Jura Forest, Tempest
The Hunter stood on a large hill that oversaw the large town. He came to quickly check on the nation but He could only stare at the beauty.
It never ceases to amaze him.
To see so many different kinds of species co-exist.
Of course there was gaining the trust of humans but Sivert's confident Rimuru could pull it off!
"It's beautiful…" He heard Aria whisper to him, she too was fascinated.
Sivert smiled a little, the two continued to stare for some time now until Sivert asked a question.
"Do you think we could've done this? Back at the city.. Humans, Eliksni, Awoken, Exo, hell maybe even Cabal.. heh. Just imagine that.. all of us under the Traveler's grace."
Aria turned to look at him, "It'd would've taken a lot of work but I'm sure if we dealt with our problems first then we would've been able to."
Sivert agreed with his ghost. He's confident they would have been able to pull something like that off.
"Do you wish that could happen?" Aria asked her own question.
The Hunter turned his head slightly to the right to look at her.
"I do.. even now if there were still survivors somewhere out there. I would take them in, let them live peacefully in my Throne World or if they wanted to try and live life here."
His Throne World was capable of sustaining life, of course there was the case with his dense magicules. Sivert doesn't know if it would be poisonous for Awoken or Eliksni or even Cabal.
But his Throne World could house them, he had oceans and large lands. It was like a second earth..
"Hehe.. that would be cool. Imagine a second city. No.. your Nation. Light Kingdom! Under the protection and rule of king Sivert Light! Hehehe." Aria could see it all!
Sivert rolled his eyes, "Yeah.. I couldn't run such a thing.."
The Hunter can barely get out of his comfy bed without Aurora or Blair dragging him off. After relaxing in Tempest for some time he's gotten a little more lazy..
"Hm.. oh well. Tempest looks good as ever. Let's go back to the Temple.."
Since nothing looked wrong, Aria wanted to head back.
Sivert gave a quick nod and transported away with Spatial Transport.
The room was quiet, the Guardians tensed up as it continued on.
Stepping forward in the spectating booth in the far right of the arena was the Titan Blair.
"Begin!" he shouted.
Lyra smiled in excitement and took off, she unsheathed her new sword and ran towards the center of the crucible arena.
Within seconds gun fire and explosions were already heard, the two fireteams clashed.
This was no surprise, recently most of the Guardians became Enlightened's. So Blair decided to spice things up!
A 6v6 Survival! And boy did it spice things up. The battles were crazy powerful!
"Crap." Lyra quickly jumped back when a solar grenade landed in front of her. It exploded but far from her.
She spotted the Hunter responsible, he held a scout rifle in his hands. (Night watch.)
He aimed it at Lyra but she quickly tossed her void grenade at him. The Hunter quickly took cover from the large explosion, losing sight of her as he did. He moved alongside his cover position, trying to get a flanking angle
Using the opportunity of not being seen Lyra utilized her Light and blinked towards the Hunter.
The Hunter peeked back out from behind cover, his eyes widened in surprise when Lyra suddenly appeared before him.
She moved fast and smooth..
A clean and fast cut to the Hunter's chest, his body was soon Incinerated by powerful flames.
"Agh!"
Lyra was caught off guard and shot in the left arm by a Titan wielding a sniper rifle.
"That's not something you see every day.." she muttered and took cover behind a brick wall, barely avoiding another bullet.
She heard the Titan put his rifle away. If he rushed her with a fist of havoc she would be in trouble! Her ghost Nemo healed her wound as she pondered on how to deal with the Titan.
"Don't worry Lady Lyra! I got him!"
Her fellow Warlock and big fan Eve shouted, running and jumping up into the air.
Void light coursed through her body and she chucked a big fat Nova Bomb at the Titan.
The Nova Bomb exploded and Eve landed gently onto the ground.
"Haha! That's mat-"
Her cheering quickly stopped once the blast debris cleared out.
There was a Ward of Dawn right where she chucked her Nova Bomb.
"Damnit. Quick save." Eve cursed that Titan, by the look of his armor. It was most likely the Titan Lion.
She could hear him snickering in that damn bubble!
Another Titan and a Warlock ran inside the big bubble as Lyra's fireteam surrounded them.
They were the remaining three.
Lyra focused her eyes on the trio in the bubble, the titan and warlock that just ran in had shotguns.
So running straight in was a no go, they'd get destroyed.
"Hm.."
She looked down at her Raze Lighter and the flames enveloping it grew stronger.
Lyra raised her sword and swung it, launching a destructive wave of Solar Light. Devastating everything in its path.
"Hey! What the hell!?"
Lion took a step back out of fear from the sheer power he felt from the incoming wave of flames.
Even more to his shock, his bubble was cut through and he and the rest of his team were incinerated by the Solar Light.
"match.." Lyra whispered with a smirk, her fireteam stared at her with eyes full of awe.
She had power in her hands and it felt good.
The warlock was drowned in praise when she walked out of the arena and made her way to one of the open training arena's where the other warlocks were.
"You were amazing my lady!"
The Warlock Eve continued to praise her, she was truly a devoted follower to her. Lyra's not fully sure why but she suspects it was because she crushed Eve in a duel the warlock proposed.
Ever since Eve has been treating her like a queen.
"Thank you. I will see you tomorrow for another match." Lyra told her.
Eve flashed an excited smile. "Yes my lady! I will be here waiting for you!" she saluted like a soldier, earning a little chuckle from Lyra.
Lyra gave her a quick wave before continuing her way towards the training arena.
"Sivert's supposed to be there.." she whispered with an excited smile.
She couldn't wait to train with him again.
Most of all, she couldn't wait to tell him what she just did. Lyra could already imagine what the guardians are going to start saying after the word spreads.
The Warlock That Sliced Through A Ward Of Dawn!
Lyra made her way down the long hallways and soon came upon the open training arena's entrance.
She entered the room and spotted Sivert along with a few other warlocks in the center of the arena.
He had a slightly uncomfortable expression as the warlocks kept asking him to do something for them.
Though Lyra could not hear what they were asking that's what she assumed. As she made her way down there she spotted Aurora in the spectating booths with Kaguya and Astraea.
She shrugged and decided to go towards them first since Sivert looked like he was busy.
"What's going on?"
Aurora and the other two turned to look at her.
"Oh hey. Those curious four, Kane, Lara, Leo and Nix wanted Sivert to summon a Demon to help them better understand how summoning magic works."
Lyra turned to look back at the five in the middle of the arena.
"I can't believe their asking him for something like that. A demon? Crazy bastards…" Lyra muttered.
Though now she was curious, she's never seen a demon and Sivert's boasted about how fun they were to fight. So she sat down next to Aurora and watched.
"Alright, Alright! I'll do it." Sivert shouted, silencing the four.
Their eyes were full of excitement, "Thank you! We won't forget this and swear our research will assist you!"
Kane and the other three took off to the spectating booths for safety.
"You never even told me what you were researching about…" The Hunter whispered before sighing in annoyance.
Warlocks were troublesome sometimes.
"Alright.."
He hasn't summoned a demon for a long time, the only times he actually summoned a demon were when the Demon Lord Guy told him to.
"Hm.. I thought it was only me but It seems even demons are attracted to you just like Elementals are attracted to you. How about it? Get some servants. Even if you're not a Demon Lord, Demons can come in handy." The Primordial stated with a grin.
Sivert's never acquired a servant from the summoning's since all the Greater Demon's he summoned pledged their allegiance to Guy only to get slaughtered by in him in the process.
That plan failed so Guy just lent one of his own as a personal guide for when Sivert was in the Ice Palace.
The Hunter became good friends with that demon. In exchange for her to conversate with him, he taught her many things. Such as martial arts and tricks to buff her magic.
Magic is mostly what all Demon's use but Sivert knows their powerful in physical attacks as well. They just needed to work hard.
Eventually one of the other Demon Lieutenant's, 'Squall' the Arch Demon under Guy asked for assistance.
Sivert agreed and in exchange, he taught the Hunter more about demons. Giving him an edge against Guy.
His training paid off as well as the two soon became the strongest Demon Lieutenant's under Guy.
Sadly all that work on trying to make new friends was thrown down the drain once Guy betrayed Sivert..
Sivert lifted his right hand and snapped his fingers, commencing the summoning. A blue summoning circle appeared a few feet away from Sivert and it glowed.
"My offering is my magicules. Come out and serve me.." The Hunter whispered.
A decent offering, not bodies but magicules will do as they help a Demon get stronger. Since it'll be a short service it wouldn't matter.
He felt 8% of his magicules drain, may sound like a little but Sivert's capacity was the same as a True Dragons so that was a lot for a mere Greater Demon.
The summoning circle continued to glow blue as winds started blowing around it.
Finally two cocoons of magicules came out from the circle and slowly dissolved, revealing two demons.
Sivert's eyes widened in surprise, not because he just summoned two demons but that one of these demons was an Arch Demon while the other one was a Greater Demon
No.. he was wrong after taking a much closer look. The second one was an Arch Demon, just they were much weaker. They must've become an Arch Demon very recently so it's no wonder Sivert mistook them for a Greater Demon.
This duo of demons was powerful.. and not what Sivert intended on summoning.
"Hm?" Sivert looked at the demon with dark blue hair and sharp dark blue eyes along with two black jagged horns on their forehead. Those pointy ears like that of an elf. She was a beauty..
He recognized her..
"Ah.. what a bliss. To finally be summoned by our true master, the Witness to our growth in the past. For so long have we waited.. now here we are."
She spoke first and with a bright smile on her lips. Her dark blue eyes stared into Sivert's dark golden eyes.
"And he's become much more stronger. He truly is remarkable!" She praised with a blush on her cheeks. Just looking at him was enough to put her head over heels.
Her continuous praising made Sivert feel a little uncomfortable.
"Our beloved Lord. It would not surprise me if you do not remember me. But I along with my companion swear that we two are demons who swore our souls to you. To assist you achieve your absolute goals that you see clearer then us."
Sivert's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at this familiar demon with an even more uncomfortable expression.
Why did it feel like he was talking to a second Rhulk..
"Misora? What are you doing here.." Sivert called her name.
He summoned his Lubrae's Ruin glaive and prepared to destroy her and the other demon if she didn't answer.
Misora was a Demon Lieutenant under Rain. An Arch Demon she was but she was an old one and the one he trained.
She was Prehistoric and if Sivert's correct, she should be a Marquis in the Demon Hierarchy. Though back then Rain did say she could become a Duke or even an Arch Duke if she became stronger.
Still she's dangerous enough to the Guardians if she went on a rampage.
But luckily Sivert was here so he could rip her apart with ease..
"Ahh! You do remember. I am most grateful Lord Sivert." Misora suddenly kneeled before him, the other demon followed in suite.
Sivert become even more uncomfortable. He knew some demons could be weird but he never knew they were this weird..
"Forgive me but I am no longer Misora for I along with my companion have been purged for swearing loyalty to you. It was expected but I only wish I could have kept my body. In the midst of my despair my joy soon returned when I felt your presence. Faint but I knew it truly was you!"
Sivert stared down at her and her companion, he knew what the word 'purged' meant. It was no surprise either, if demons did this under Guy then he'd most definitely eliminate them…
But he assumed Misora miraculously survived somehow. Though she lost her body and she seemed to be weaker than before. She must've gotten beat up pretty bad.
Her soul connection with her primordial ruler most likely got severed as well so she was nameless.
Strange.. but Sivert couldn't also help but notice he felt close to her. He had a theory on why but first he needed to ask a question.
"Why the hell would you do something like that?" Sivert asked. Demons normally desired strong masters and for their strength to be recognized by that master.
Guy was powerful so to think they'd betray him, a rightful Demon Lord was hard to believe.
Misora looked up at him with eyes full of admiration. "Loyalty to You! You my Lord have shown us the true meaning of 'power.' you not only triumphed against Guy Crimson but the True Dragon Velzard as well. It makes sense as of why my former Lord would fear you despite his pride!"
Well he got his answer and it was pretty good. It also made sense why he felt close to her..
Guy must've seen this as well. Sivert was just amazed he himself didn't notice this before.
Misora forged a soul connection with Sivert due the strong bond they forged, her connection with her primordial ruler must've been severed as she became closer with Sivert, forging one with him.
This result surprised him but it also made sense why she was able to sense him, no matter how much he concealed his presence.
Just Sivert really wished she didn't reveal those triumphs. he wanted to keep that stuff a secret. It's true that while he defeated Guy and Velzard in duels that lasted weeks he only managed to do that thanks to his strong will and determination..
No matter how hard he was hit Sivert got back up and after exhausting himself so much he finally won.
They were extremely hard battles, ones Sivert would never forget. However his victories also made Guy fear him which most likely caused some discontent in his ranks.
Resulting in this..
"Lord Sivert. We ask that you accept us as your most humble servants. Even if it is at the lowest station." Misora said and looked back down at the floor.
Sivert sighed and mentally cursed this situation. He knew Misora acted strange around him back at the Ice palace but he didn't think she was really going to go as far as to betray Guy just to serve him.
And where did she get this follower from? They seemed to be from different lineage.
Sivert looked at the young Arch Demon kneeling on Misora's right rear. Despite being a young Arch Demon, Sivert could tell this one was a fighter alright..
A demon who looked similar to Misora due to his pointy elf like ears and two red horns on his forehead.
A handsome muscular man who was as tall as a Fallen Captain. His skin was so dark that it looked like he got scorched by the hottest flames. He had snow white hair and dark crimson red eyes and sclera. His pupils were dark.
It was obvious he was from the Red Lineage. His lineage made Sivert even more surprised, how the hell did Misora convince him?
Sivert examined the two carefully.
They were pretty powerful and Sivert has been getting overflowed with work. So while these two may be good for killing he mostly needed those good for helping him arrange a bunch of files and paper work..
Sivert crossed his arms and sighed again. Though this gave him a headache he considered it.
Screw it..
Why not?
If they betrayed him he could easily kill them so he wasn't worried. That and because he could actually feel their devotion to him.
These two were like a small fan club of demons that admired him.
The only problem is the matter of bodies, Demons are spiritual lifeforms so they need bodies or else they have to expend tons of magical force to maintain themselves. It's only a matter of time before they get pulled back to the demon world and Sivert didn't want to put that through them.
So he needed to give them bodies, but he was not about to let them possess people.
He didn't know how until his two Elemental's suggested something from not that long ago. A research project he worked on a year ago where he wanted to create suitable bodies for his two elementals.
Bodies made from Mithril mixed with Pyramid Material. There were multiple failures in his creations but finally he managed to create suitable highly advanced bodies. They were insanely durable and powerful.
Sadly, his two picky elementals didn't like the foul Resonance energy radiating from the bodies and Sivert became really annoyed. But he didn't pressure them and just stored the two bodies away while they decided to just remain within him.
He already had 2 so he didn't need to make anymore. He just needed to make a few quick adjustments.
So after some thinking Sivert decided he'd go down that route.
"Very well. I will take you two in as my subordinates. I am no Guy Crimson so do not expect the same treatment and the same actions he made. You swore to help me fulfill my goals and desires, then I expect you to. You will both have different roles but for now let's get you bodies and names."
Those two words 'bodies' and 'names' got them excited but they didn't dare show it. But deep down, their hearts fluttered with absolute joy. For their Lord would grant them 'power'.
"Thank you our Lord. We await your commands." Misora along with the other one said in unison.
Them saying that in unison sent chills down Sivert's spine.
He wasn't sure how his future will go now with these two at his side but he's sure that he'll have to get used to be treated like a king..
"Alright.."
Sivert took one deep breath, now it was time to explain all of this to the others. He turned around and found the spectating Guardians sitting in silence.
Staring at him…
Even the four warlocks that pressured him into summoning a demon were silent, though Nix and Leo seemed to be writing notes for some reason.
He turned his eyes to those he trusts the most out of the Guardians, Aurora, Kaguya, Astraea and Lyra.
Sivert raised his right hand and gestured for them to come here. They did as he requested, standing up from their booths and walked towards him.
"What's going on?
"Yeah why are they kneeling?"
"You better have a good reason for all of this."
He was immediately flooded by their questions in quiet tones, thankfully it doesn't look like they heard what Misora said about his Triumphs. Sivert wants to keep that stuff a secret for now.
Sivert quickly calmed them down and explained as best as he could while also asking if they could spread the words to the other Guardians.
After several minutes of quietly conversating they finally agreed.
"You better keep them on a tight leash.." Aurora whispered to him in a serious tone before turning around and walking away with the others in tow.
"I trust you so.. I'll help." Lyra said with a small smile.
Sivert sighed in relief, that was pretty easy.
Lyra walked away and followed after the others. Aurora led the other guardians out of the arena and closed the doors.
"Great." Sivert clapped his hands once and turned around, Misora and the Arch Demon were still kneeling.
"Go ahead and stay here. I'll be right back.." Sivert ordered.
Their first order! Even if it is easy! They will perform it with perfection!
"As you command!"
Ooo..
Why did that suddenly sound cool!?
Sivert got a little excited when he heard them speak again in unison. Hell he could even hear Aria quietly fawning over him again.
This must be what Rimuru feels like when he's always being treated like a King by his people. They were good at it to, Sivert's never seen a people so devoted and grateful to their leader..
He was very curious on what the future held for Tempest.
He would love for this king treatment to continue right now but sadly he's not sure if they can come with him to his Throne World in their current state. Not without a body and he doesn't want to risk anything.
So it's best they stay here.
Sivert was enveloped in resonance energy and he vanished.
"His soul is amazing."
The Arch Demon whispered to Misora, "Indeed. I'm glad you were able to see it."
Misora whispered back, though Sivert made a mistake on the Arch Demon's age. Misora did not know that.
This Arch Demon who kneeled behind her was recently recognized as a Marquis in the Demon Hierarchy and was going to become another Demon Lieutenant under Guy if Misora didn't convert him. Prehistoric Species just like Misora so he was powerful, he'll be useful to her new master.
The reason Sivert mistook him for a young Arch Demon was because he was keeping his presence concealed, Unlike Misora who didn't conceal herself that much.
In the midst of waiting Misora was planning on how to earn Sivert's praise. She had many ideas.
Such as recruiting more demons to serve him. Even if he wasn't a Demon Lord, Sivert's soul attracted Demons due to his beauty and power.
To most Demons his soul was divine, and exotic. One they would wish to serve as it is natural for demons to want to serve a strong master.
Sivert was one such master, perhaps she would carry out this plan. It was similar to what her Primordial Rain did along with the Primordial Misery.
Long ago shortly after being summoned to the material world, Rain and Misery summoned countless demons to serve their master. It's the reason why Guy's palace was swarming with thousands of demons. Hell their the reason that Palace is even there.
They built the place..
It's been a few thousands of years since then and Misora is confident many new demons have grown stronger throughout those years.
She didn't care what lineage they were from or if they served under a Primordial. Misora would recruit the strongest and those with talent. Prodigies..
For they belonged to her new master…
Though of course she would like to avoid the other Primordials, her life now belongs to her master. It isn't hers to throw away just like that.
As Misora continued waiting she was also pondering on Sivert's massive change. He was no longer human..
More of a powerful Majin, thanks to the change he was able to become more powerful. Though he lost his Hero qualifications since he was no longer Human. That didn't matter to Misora though, he was still perfect!
Misora couldn't wait to see him in combat again.
Within a few minutes, Sivert returned, floating behind him were two Pyramid tech capsules.
"So.. this isn't like your usual body. You're not possessing someone. This is more like your own real body. Your soul will merge with a black skeleton with the help of a power foreign to you. Then you'll be able to create your flesh and muscles onto it. Now all I need you to do is to place your hands on the capsules and to let it absorb your soul."
Sivert explained with a gentle smile.
They didn't even hesitate, it was an order and from their lord. Misora and the Arch Demon stood up and walked over to their own capsule.
Misora was the first to place her hand on the capsule, as she did she felt a strange foreign power try to draw her soul in.
She resisted at first out of her defensive instinct but her Master ordered her not to. So she quickly stopped and her magic body dissolved, her soul was absorbed into the capsule.
This was the same case for the other Arch Demon, their soul were absorbed and Sivert continued to smile.
It worked! Now he just had to take them to his Throne World as it would be better there to name them where no one will sense their strong growth in power.
King's Domain
Sivert arrived in his research lab in his Pyramid Ship. An open white and black room with many strange artifacts and treasures inside.
It was like his personal library and work shop. It looked similar to the sunken Pyramid's interior, just a little smaller.
"Alright then. Time to activate the capsules."
Activating them all the way would grant these two access to the bodies inside. Allowing them to merge with it and even fix the bone structure to their liking!
Oh Sivert loves technology!
Sivert snapped his fingers and activated each of the capsules, he also made sure to pour some magicules into them to assist the two in merging with their body.
"I adore your name so you will continue to be Misora." He renamed Misora and felt 40% of his magicules drain.
With his name she was able to break her limits and easily evolve into a Demon Peer.
Sivert's eyes turned to look at the second capsule. Despite being from the Red Lineage, this demon was a little abnormal.
He was more calm, and perceptive. Sivert could tell that just by looking at him. A Hunter's intuition one might call it.
He seemed more understanding as well..
"Your Lineage is full of arrogant bastards but you seem to be abnormal, calm and understanding. You will be Surtr."
Sivert made sure to be careful with how much magicules he distributes just like he did with Misora. Despite mastering his control of his magicules, he still has some trouble..
He felt 40% of his magicules drain and the now named Surtr evolved into an Demon Peer.
As they evolved they also started merging with their bodies and fixing the bone structure to their liking. After several minutes, flesh and muscle started forming around the black skeletons in the capsules.
Sivert was also currently panting right now.
They took a lot!
Maybe he underestimated his magicule limit… Being as strong as a True Dragon doesn't mean he has the magicule capacity as one.. He needs to do more research on himself..
Thankfully he regains his abnormally fast.
Within minutes the two Demon Peer's took their forms. It would take a few days before they could actually use their bodies since they need to get accustomed to them.
So Sivert waited those few days.
As Sivert waited and took a much more closer look, he noticed Surtr seemed to be quite an old Demon. He knew Misora was from the Prehistoric species but he didn't know what Surtr was. He suspected Surtr was most likely Ancient Species, a Count.
Though he could be wrong.
Sivert crossed his arms and smiled, he's glad to see the bodies be put to use.
He waited three days for the process to be finished. Once everything seemed good Sivert opened the capsules and watched as the two demons stepped out.
Misora looked the same appearance wise but she grew much stronger, however her outfitting seemed to have a minor change.
Though the garments were similar, the colors changed to black with a little bit of blue on it.
"Hm.."
Sivert stared at her new outfit. With a much more longer look, he noticed her outfit looked a little similar to the outfit Queen Mara Sov wore when Sivert first met her. It did!
Though it revealed no skin aside from her neck and face, Misora's outfit looked indeed looked similar to Mara's outfit. It was black but unlike Mara's who possessed a little bit of Dark purple on it.
Misora's had dark blue.
She even had the fur around her neck as well that came with the black vest like jacket. Only it was black instead of brown.
While the garments were similar but more fancier and royal like, Misora looked nothing like Mara. She looked like a Dark Lord's most trusted servant instead.
Fitting for a demon such as her, especially if she's going to serve Sivert who's favorite color is black.
She looked so good! Though she still had the two horns and elf ears Sivert didn't care about her demonic appearances. And if anyone has a problem with it they can take it up with him.
Sivert's eyes shifted to Surtr, his eyes slightly widened out of confusion.
There wasn't much change to Surtr aside power wise. His skin was still dark and he still possessed his snow white hair though it looked like it got a little longer, his eyes and sclera were still crimson red.
His garments changed though, unlike before when he possessed a more barbaric outfit. His outfit made him look like a gladiator in Sivert's eyes.
He was shirtless and only wore jet black pants with a black knee guards with a red outline and black boots. He had white vambraces on both his wrist that reached up to his shoulder.
He looked really cool! But since he kept his demonic appearances and looks more like a barbaric warrior, Sivert will keep him in his throne world for now.
At least Misora looked more human like, aside from the horns she shouldn't cause to much trouble as long as she holds in her aura.
"We thank you for these names and bodies you have given us. We are forever yours." They said in unison while kneeling before Sivert.
The Hunter could only look at them with eyes full of awe. They've grown much more powerful than before and they easily got accustomed to their bodies.
He wasn't sure if that was because the bodies were ten times better than an original human body or a golem body or if their just really strong.
No.. both.
Misora must've done a lot of convincing to convert Surtr over to Sivert. He was one hell of a Demon.
As much as he would love to stare and admire them more he needed to tell them about who and what he was.
Along with what he's capable of.
It would be necessary if they were to work under him but first he would fulfill Aria's request.
"This is Aria. Misora you met her. She's my closest friend and the one I hold dear to me. You are to treat her with respect and will also assist her if need be. Disrespect her you disrespect me. Treat her like a second me." Sivert ordered with a strict tone.
"Understood. We are honored to meet you Lady Aria."
Aria hasn't been called that in a long time, despite not having a gender she likes to think of herself as a girl due to her voice, woman like taste in items and clothing and her attraction to Sivert.
Now she knows what Sivert feels like when they speak in unison to him.
"Fufu. Good, serve my Guardian well."
Aria felt mighty now! And like royalty.
With her request fulfilled Sivert started explaining to the duo on who he was and what he was along with the powers he wields.
This took around a whole day since he had a lot of information to tell them but also because he made sure to check that these guys didn't have any sort of secret spell on them casted by Guy or any other.
Once they all checked out he finished explaining.
While they were surprised they didn't show much shock expression wise. Only when he showed them his Pyramid Ship is when they were shocked expression wise. They never seen something so large before!
In the midst of all this they drowned him in praises for becoming so powerful and wielding highly advanced tech.
Sivert will have to get used to this new lifestyle. Once this was all over he spent some time to help get them used to their new strength. He also gave them both gifts, one that Vince helped him fix up.
"A Legend Grade Glaive? Sure.."
The Titan was half asleep when Sivert asked him but after pouring some Ice cold water on him he became wide awake.
The process was quick and Vince forged a Legend Grade Glaive for Surtr using his unique skill. When Sivert saw it he was.. surprised.
"I just copied yours but changed it up. Goes good with his demonic appearances doesn't it?" Vince asked as he handed the Glaive to Sivert.
It did look Lubraes Ruin, but more menacing and a little larger to fit Surtr's large size.
Surtr immediately took a liking to the weapon at sight. With a little practicing he'll master it with ease.
As for Misora, since she was an old friend, Sivert couldn't help but give her special treatment.
So he gave her glaive he made a while back using Pyramid Tech. (Edge of Concurrence Glaive.) It was Mythical Grade which is why it's special treatment in Sivert's eyes.
Even Pyramid Tech has trouble making a weapon of this much power, but luckily Sivert already had it made a year ago. It took 5 months to build.
The glaive will allow Misora to fluently wield the Darkness Sivert was about to gift her and Surtr. But it will also come with a special ability that Sivert's glaive holds.
After they got accustomed to their new weapons he gifted them Darkness making them more stronger.
With that out of the way Sivert chose their roles, or.. Misora's role at least.
Misora would serve as a secretary to Sivert. As for Surtr, Sivert's not sure what role to give him but he had a fun little idea. For now he had Surtr stay in his Throne World to eliminate the powerful monsters that posed a threat to Vince.
Now Sivert could return to the Temple.
The Hunter sat comfortably in his office chair, he still had a few things to do but Aurora asked if he could come to the Temple as she had something to say.
She had lots to say…
"You're not putting enough effort into locating these bastards! What if there already on the move?!"
The warlock shouted at the hunter, slamming both her hands on his desk in the process.
Aurora suddenly felt an overwhelming presence and turned her eyes to Misora who stood on Sivert's right rear.
Misora glared at the warlock. Her glare made the warlock gulp. Her aura alone could scorch her if she didn't keep it contained.
"Look I'm sorry. I was caught up with a few things. I'll jump back in the search party." Sivert assured her.
"Really? Oh. Well ok."
That was all Aurora wanted to hear! This went much easier then she expected it to be. Aside from the powerful demon that probably wants to kill her for yelling at Sivert, everything went smooth!
"We leave tomorrow morning if you want to come with u-"
"Nonsense."
Misora interrupted the warlock with no care whatsoever and took a step forward.
"What?" Aurora was a pretty relaxed warlock but she doesn't like rude people.
Sivert himself was curious on why Misora interrupted Aurora.
"Lord Sivert shouldn't have to deal with such trivial issues."
Aurora's eyes widened in disbelief from what she just heard. However before she could shoot back Misora turned to look at Sivert.
She kneeled before him. "My Lord. I humbly request that you allow me to eliminate these foul creatures."
Misora wanted to prove herself to her new master and she would.
Sivert crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. That actually wasn't such a bad idea.
"Hm. Alright then, I'll allow it."
Misora smiled and lowered her head. "I will not fail you."
She stood up and bowed gracefully before departing with Spatial Transportation. Misora already knew the area they searched due to the earlier conversation with Sivert and Aurora.
"Wait! Sivert, you can't just send her alone." Aurora protested that idea.
"Why not? She could easily handle Scorn." Sivert replied with a confident tone.
Aurora was silent as she quickly remembered that Misora was a named Demon. She was a powerhouse and could level this entire Temple with ease.
Not even the few Enlightened's within the Temple could take her on without exceeding their limits and exhausting themselves. And yet they wouldn't be able to kill her.
"Tch.. alright fine. I'll trust you, so what did you want to talk to me about?"
Her question made Sivert grin, he's been meaning to talk to her about something. An idea he had and Aurora was the right one to go to if he wanted another's opinion.
A Day Later
Misora walked through the dark cavern, past several Raiders and Chieftains. They were welcoming her..
She continued to walk down the trail she followed until she came upon a large open cavern filled with hundreds of Scorn.
They were weak and fragile and that wasn't coming from Misora's mind because she was overpowering.
No.. they truly were.
They ran out of supplies and are starving, the Witness sent them to die..
She would help them…
Sitting in the center of the room was a large Scorn Baron wielding a large Flame Censar.
He stood up from the stone carved Throne he sat on, slowly walking towards Misora.
She looked up at the baron. Misora was going to kill him with ease but she stopped herself..
"Perhaps they can be of use to my Lord." She whispered under her breath. She knows of Sivert's plan in his Throne World.
But she was ordered to eliminate them..
Misora was in a civil war with herself, thinking which would best please her master.
"I would like to see them get stronger. Surtr and the Taken should help."
She remembered Sivert's earlier words when discussing his plan with her. Yes.. his plan to help the Guardians get stronger.
She stared at the Baron, he made no movement.
"I've decided.." she whispered.
"You are all starving. Rejoice for I have been ordered by my Lord to give you an offer that will save you from your suffering." She stated with a grin.
Her words made the Scorn curious and they all crowded around her.
The Baron looked down at her and tilted his head a little to the right.
"You will serve my Lord, in exchange for the supplies you need to survive. I was told you like to fight. Kneel and you will gladly be given the chance to fight many foes to wreak havoc upon."
Misora demanded.
The room was silent and the Scorn simply stared at her.
Well that didn't go as planned. Time to kill them!
As she removed her right hand from behind her back the Baron suddenly got down and kneeled.
Following him were the rest of the Scorn.
"Well. You are all quite wise despite being reanimated creatures." Misora whispered once again.
It wasn't until she noticed a bunch still standing, led by a chieftain.
"Fools.." she muttered.
They quickly took off out of fear once they heard her words. Misora will kill them but for now she will need to inform Sivert of her change of plans.
"You did what…?"
That was his response through their thought communication. But after some quick thinking he changed his mind.
"Nevermind! Good work Misora! Send them to my Throne world and kill the ones who didn't submit."
Those were her new orders.
"As you desire.."
She ended the thought communication and turned her attention back to the Scorn.
"Go and wait patiently now. Be honored, you are all now servants to the great master."
Misora opened a resonance portal that led to Sivert's throne world and into the Pyramid ship.
The Baron gave a light nod and stood up before walking towards the portal, he entered with he few hundred at his back.
Misora counted at least 900 Scorn as they entered. She counted 1000 when she first entered the room.
That means a 100 of them fled.
Once they all entered the portal, Misora began following and slaughtering the fleeing Scorn.
In the midst of killing the fleeing Scorn that's where she met 'them..'
A small group of Lightbearer's led by a powerful Warlock whom Misora suspected was a newborn Saint.
She would inform her Lord..
End!
Happy Late Merry Christmas! I planned on posting a day before Christmas but forgot since I was busy with stuff.
Anyways happy new years! I'm saying this now because I'm not going to post for probably a month. A lot to ponder about since were getting a lot of new story detail from this season.
I will probably post again around the 20th of January maybe, but I'm going to try and get a chapter out by the 5th.
