Sorry for the long ass delay.. details on it at the end. Otherwise enjoy!

Chapter 28, The Rebirth Of The Tower

The trail was empty, small and quiet. It was dark and here in this forest vicious monsters roamed.

Yet, the lone traveler continued walking.

He was tall and carried a golden magic staff. One that was quite unique as the staff had two parts to it. The top half, which had a powerful and strange red gem attached to it, acted as the magic staff.

While the bottom half was a long double edged blade made with a powerful material.

An old weapon for a king forgotten in time..

It has returned though.. along with it's wielder.

The traveler was covered with an all-white cloak.

He made no sound, even his breathing couldn't be heard. He kept his powerful aura hidden with amazing ease.

Yet still, he was detected entering the forest.

By its Guardian..

"Lost friend?"

The tone of the voice was friendly yet there was a dark coldness hidden in that friendly tone. The traveler stopped walking once he heard him.

His beautiful, coral red eyes focused on the man hovering in the air.

Both hands behind his back, he radiated a mighty presence. His gaze was sharp and cold.

"No. I am right where I need to be." The traveler replied. His tone was calm, showing how fearless he was to the god hovering in the air before him.

"I doubt that."

The powerful man responded as he slowly hovered down and landed several feet away from the traveler.

"Got a family?" the man suddenly asked to which the traveler answered with a simple nod.

"Then they presumably want you alive. So I suggest turning around and going back to them."

A serious threat that the man had no problem pulling off.

The traveler was already aware this man could rip him apart with ease. Yet, he did not turn around.

For this could be the man his visions told him about. Those… constant..

Irritating visions.

"I'm afraid I cannot. I have a debt to pay to the Light."

The man raised a brow at that revelation.

"For it has brought me and my beloved wife back from the dead."

The traveler removed the hood of his cloak, revealing himself.

An Elf with white, almost translucent skin. Golden hair that falls down his back and beautiful coral red eyes.

He had a sharp look and wore a pair of golden round glasses.

"I am Rhaegar Eir Los, and I am looking for the Light's Chosen Sivert Light. Offering myself as his most humble servant. For that is what the Light has asked me to do. To repay my debt…"

Adding to his point, a ghost with a black and golden shell materialized next to the elf.

Seeing enough, the man's cold gaze vanished. Replaced with a neutral one.

"I am Sivert Light."

Rhaegar turned his head slightly to look at his ghost. Who gave a little nod in confirmation.

This man wielded the Light and it was as beautiful and powerful as the Light Rhaegar saw in his visions.

Rhaegar became overjoyed though he did not show it.

Years and years of waiting..

Finally…

"I believe you are the High Elf I was looking for as well. You fit Nimerah's description."

"Ahh.. so the warlock has told you about me. I am glad.."

Sivert couldn't help but smile a little. A High Elf…

Brought back by the Light.

Marvelous.

"As I said before. I am to serve you with perfection and-"

"No need. You found me, I believe that's all the Light wanted for you." Sivert interrupted.

"Maybe so, but I still believe I was brought back with a purpose. Which is to serve you. My ghost has confirmed this."

Sivert's golden eyes shifted to the little light who gave a nod in confirmation.

The Hunter had conflicted thoughts about this now. This wasn't Earth..

Humanity here is not on the edge of extinction and already has protectors.

So Sivert was unable to prove his point false or prove his own point correct. That he was brought back to protect humanity. The Light works differently in this universe.

Resurrecting a High Elf along with his wife as a sign of goodwill proves that.

Ugh…

Sivert was going to make sure to keep it in check. He doesn't want the Light bringing back the wrong people…

Especially people who are powerful as this High Elf here. He could easily kill a True Demon Lord.

Rhaegar lowered his head. "So I ask again. Accept me as your servant."

Sivert crossed his arms and gave his response.

"I will accept you if it'll make you happy and feel fulfilled…"

"Thank you my Lord."

Here we go again.. fortunately.. Sivert was getting used to being treated like some king though it still irked him.

"I'll take you in as my advisor and second in command for now at least. Until I see where your capabilities will benefit me most. Your roles might change."

Rhaegar gave a light nod. "I understand."

"Good. Now.. I'd go back and tell your wife of the news. Come back here with her when your ready to move and I will show you to your new home."

"Very well."

Without hesitation, Rhaegar turned around and departed.

He was quick to obey. Sivert was very curious on what he was capable of. He already knew of his power but what about his mind? His true talent?

Well soon he will see them.

"Alright.. time to go meet Geld."

Sivert didn't originally plan on coming here, near the edges of the Jura Forest that led out to the Empire.

But he felt Rhaegar's presence in the forest.. so he came here to see who he was and if he was a threat.

"I'm in luck…" he whispered.

He saved a lot of time by encountering the High Elf Nimerah talked about.

Instead of having to look for him, Rhaegar came to Sivert!

Kind of…

It was quiet, and very peaceful. Despite being the most dangerous forest in the world.

Sivert found beauty in it.

He sat on a nice, flat large rock surrounded by trees and near a cliff that oversaw a large lake.

He sat, enjoying this peace. A nice, sunny day with just the right amount of wind.

Perfect.

"Lord Sivert."

A familiar Orc bowed as he greeted the Hunter sitting on the rock.

"Geld, good to see you. So you know what I have planned right?"

"Indeed. Lord Rimuru has notified me. However I am not sure if I will be able to fully assist you for I and many of my fellow Orc's are occupied with the current roads we need to finish constructing."

"It's alright. I might do it myself anyways. I just wanted your opinion on this location."

The Hunter pointed at a rocky promontory in the middle of the lake. This area was not well known in the world as it was too deep in the Jura Forest for anybody to properly map it.

And the forest is known for its dangers.

Sivert came across it once during an adventure and was amazed by its beauty. The lake was connected to the Ameld River and was not far from Shisu lake.

Geld focused his eyes on the location.

"It's.. large."

Maybe a Fortress of some sort would do but..

"I do not believe a city would be possible to construct in that.. landscape."

So no city well at least in Geld's eyes. However Sivert might be able to build one but currently he's questioning the need for it now..

He wanted one so the Guardians could feel at home here but honestly. They probably wouldn't care. Especially since Nimerah is planning on constructing a new Tower in Sivert's Throne World.

"This is what happens when I rush things.." the hunter whispered.

Best to take a slower pace when dealing with this.

Sivert looked at the surrounding area of the rocky island. A simple.. large Fortress could do.

Any sort of ground invasion would be impossible as the army would have to cross through the water, yet even if they were able to.

They'd be instantly destroyed by defending Guardians.

All it'd take is one good rocket to destroy a wooden ship, Hell a grenade could probably pull it off.

And an air raid would be difficult, in Sivert's schematics he just created in his mind within seconds using Thought Acceleration. He has air defenses surrounding the entire Temple/Fortress.

They'd be able to take out dragons, Wyverns with ease, and almost every flying creature.

"Hm. Well thank you. That's all I wanted."

Geld turned to look at Sivert, "Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I want this place to be a home for my fellow Lightbearer's, and.. you don't understand us that much. No offense.."

Geld simply wouldn't be able to plan a perfect design for a Temple/Fortress for a bunch of immortal warriors. Especially suit their various tastes.

"I understand. I wish good fortune for you and your fellow Lightbearer's."

The Orc bowed once more before departing, leaving Sivert alone in the area.

The Hunter bit his lip, he has many ideas but they all need revising and he wants another opinion..

Geld's was good but he now needed the opinion of a…

Guardian.

One who specializes in.. Defense and Offense.

And he had just the one.

Surprisingly it was very easy to get him to come over here. Even when he was currently very busy.

"So this is what you requested my assistance on?"

"Yes."

The mighty Lord Shaxx stood tall, inspecting the area carefully. He already understood what Sivert wanted..

The schematics he showed him through his thought communication exposed the reasoning for calling the titan here.

"Your plans aren't bad but I would like to add to them." Shaxx told him.

"Of course."

Having Shaxx chip in made Sivert feel more confident in building this.

"First, I wish to know why you want to build another Temple that serves as a Fortress."

Sivert placed a finger on his chin and looked up.

"Well.. the main reason is so you guys could get to Tempest quicker if it were to ever be in danger. I guess it's more of a personal reason as well.. But also so were not surrounded by those who would be quick to draw their blades on us."

"Hah!"

Shaxx laughed at those words. "Should the surrounding Kingdoms draw their swords on us. They would be wiped out."

"I know. I don't doubt that even one Guardian could easily kill an army of common knights and mercaneries. But that's the point and why I want to move us in the Jura Forest and close to Tempest."

Shaxx crossed his arms, "You don't fear our safety, but those who would draw their blades on us?"

Sivert gave a shrug. "I'd like to avoid unnecessary conflict. Though sometimes I do believe that I should just let you guys run loose.."

He let out a light chuckle before adding on.

"Sometimes.. the only way to guarantee peace is by making the prospect of war seem hopeless."

Shaxx looked into the golden eyes of the Hunter. There was Light…

But also Dark..

A cold.. and cruel darkness.

Sivert was scary, even if he does not show that side often.. it is there and will always be there.

It made even the Mighty Lord Shaxx shiver at the thought of what would happen if he unleashed that side.

He cleared his throat and looked back at the lake.

"Very well. I will assist."

"Thank you."

"First! We shall finish the Tower! That comes first!"

Sivert crossed his arms, "Right…"

He was so distracted from his plans that he didn't think about how much effort Nimerah and the others are putting in to construct a new Tower in his Throne World. It's best they finish their main home first.

Luckily, he has Aria gathering a lot of resources. He'll just contact her to let her know of the change of plans.

As for where she's getting the resources…

Well it wasn't the safest idea but it certainly was the fastest…

Hopefully, Aria is managing smoothly.

The Demon Peer Misora walked down the dark hallway, portraying a calm expression, accompanied by two Arch demons and several Greater Demons.

She had both her hands behind her back.

Sivert has finally given her a task after what felt like ages to the Demon peer. She may have already earned his favor by giving him offerings but it wasn't enough for her.

Even if those offerings were the large number of demons she summoned to serve him a week ago with more after.

1,300 Greater demons with 10 Arch Demons.

The demons were aboard his Pyramid Ship in his Throne World, waiting for their lord's commands.

A few were selected by Surtr to be commanders and came with him to his domain to assist with the preparations of Sivert's… 'hell' he has planned for the Guardians.

A Test of Light..

As of right now, Misora just finished choosing a few demons herself. As her Lady ordered her to.

Saying "This job Sivert gave me is a big one! We'll need all the hands we can get!"

Misora has yet to be fully informed on what Sivert wants Aria to do, all she was told to do is assist her lady.

She made her way through the Pyramid Ship that belonged to her master, making her way to the large room Aria was inside.

The more Misora explored this massive place the more she was amazed.

It was massive after all. Larger then Guy Crimson's palace..

And to think there was a bunch of these Pyramid Ships.

There was so much to explore.

The ship had many strange statues and artifacts that not even a Demon old as her understands.

All of it was foreign…

Misora stopped in front of a door and it opened, she entered a fairly large room. Another one with strange symbols and statues..

"Lord Sivert has yet to redecorate.." she whispered.

This wasn't Sivert's style and that much was clear.

"Right you are Misora! But he's been too lazy to do any redecorating."

The ghost Aria was quick to greet the Demon.

"Lady Aria, I have brought the 'Extra Hands' you required." Misora said as she bowed.

Aria peeked behind Misora, looking at the several demons.

They lowered their heads in a submissive manner.

"Great! Just in time to. I'm almost done."

Aria turned around and flew towards the middle of the room.

"Ugh.. these weird controls.. oh! There you go!"

Suddenly the statues and symbols in the room started to move into the walls.. clearing the room and making it open.

"Aha! Finally. Now. Create a vex portal!" Aria ordered to which the Pyramid was quick to obey.

Within seconds, a large Vex Portal was constructed that led deep into the Vex Network.

"My Lady. May I ask what it is Lord Sivert asked you to do?"

"Well to get materials he can use to construct a Fortress in the Jura Forest but he wants a certain type. Vex! Buttt thennn he changed plans, were still getting the same materials but were using them to help finish the Tower."

"Vex?"

Misora knows little of the Vex as she saw no point in studying on them any further. She only remembers her Master's words when he explained about his universe and where he's from.

"The Vex are not to be trifled without proper knowledge of them. When the world does not match their eternal pattern, they alter the world to suit it. To them, there is no difference between reality and simulation. Inside is the same as outside, and the two must be made to correspond."

But even so, Misora is still quite confused.

"How will the Vex help?"

"Well.. Vex make great raw material! And there's a location that Sivert suspects is full of infinite resources! Right now, I'm going to have you send in one of the Axis Minds Sivert took a few years ago."

Misora gave a nod in response, "Is there a specific one?"

There's a ton of Taken Axis Minds Sivert has in his possession.

"Ugh.. I think his name is Ares."

Misora gave another nod and quickly got to work. Utilizing the power to Take and calling out to the Axis Mind.

It heeded her calls and was summoned in the room.

A large Taken Vex Hydra with a similar design to that of Panoptes, Infinite Mind. Unlike the other Taken, this Hydra had some free will left as Sivert thought it was unique and it could be very useful.

"Yup! That's him! Now, Sivert wants to use that Mind to control a part in the Vex Net so it could send over the infinite amount of resources the Vex gather."

"As you wish."

Not wasting a single second, Misora gave the command.

"Go, Conqueror and bring back the vast amounts of riches to your rightful King."

Ares obeyed, entering the portal along with Legions of Taken Misora summoned to help the mind.

Despite learning of Sivert's plans, Misora was still.. confused.

"Won't this take ages my Lady."

"Nope.. time moves differently there depending on the vex worlds Ares conquers. A million years could go by there yet it could only be a few minutes for us."

Fascinating…

This intrigued the Demon Peer.

Again though, she had another question.

"Then why do you require extra hands my Lady? Would it not be easier to simply let the Taken do the work?"

"Oh they are doing all the work. Your jobs are to make sure the materials are strong enough to be infused with magicules and to send them to Sivert."

Huh…

That was all?

The demons were a little disappointed as they hoped they were being chosen to wreak havoc and kill stuff..

Not some delivery job.

However they did not protest for it was the orders of their supreme master, and because they knew the opportunity to unleash hell would come soon.

"Oh! Here's our first batc…." Aria could not finish..

For she and the others were utterly amazed by the amount Taken walking out from the portal.

Pushing and carrying large Pyramid Tech crates full of all sorts of materials.

There was even one full of dead Precursor Goblins.

"Ok… then."

This was more then what Aria expected.

Not only that but it just kept coming.

Ares was certainly working fast..

"Get to work!" Misora shouted.

They had to work quickly to keep up with the vast amount of resources being sent.

"My lady.. a word if I may."

"Sure. What's up?"

Misora fixed a glance at the other demons to make sure they were working. She doesn't want anyone else to steal her idea.

She took a few steps closer to Aria.

"I would like to present Lord Sivert another offering but I am unsure what.. therefor. I'd like your assistance."

Aria's single blue focused on the Demon Peer.

"Oh Misora.. you've given Sivert enough." The ghost assured.

However Misora was relentless.

"I beg of you my lady.. one more offering. An offering worthy for my King. One that will serve him well. And you as well of course.."

Aria turned away to look at the marching taken exiting the portal.

"Hm.."

She took one long look at the materials they were bringing.

Unlimited resources…

Perhaps that could be useful for something else but Aria just wasn't sure what.

The ghost looked back at the Demon Peer.

"I'm not sure what Sivert would want at this point. I think you'd have to have better ideas then me, I mean you did serve Guy before. How did you and your fellow demons bring him offerings. How about it hm? Let me hear one."

Misora was silent.. pondering deeply about what she was told.

She stood there in silence, remembering how her Primordial Ruler Rain and her fellow Maid Misery served Guy.

They gave him the world and all its pleasures.

Hell they even made Misora and her fellow demons make a palace for him.

Misora's eyes widened as she just thought of the perfect offering.

"That's it."

A palace!

A true home for her Lord.

One that will suit his luxurious tastes..

"How does a palace sound my lady?"

Aria didn't admit it but she was jealous she didn't think of that first.

"I think a palace would be a perfect offering. I know a lot of Sivert's taste's and not only that. We have unlimited resources. Alright then. Together Misora, we will give Sivert the best palace to ever exist. One suitable for your rightful King."

Misora was so excited, as was Aria.

"Indeed my Lady. When shall we start?"

"Soon. Once Sivert is done we can build it in secret. So then we can surprise him!"

Oh Misora loved her Mistress very much! She was very clever!

"Excellent my Lady. Your wisdom is unrivaled."

"Fufu…" Aria felt more high and mighty then she ever has.

She loves these demons. Even if they overexaggerate most of the time. She doesn't care.

She and Sivert couldn't have asked for better servants..

It walked down the dark cavern path, dragging its large cleaver.

"?"

The sounds of a fellow Knight's dying roars caught his attention.

The knight quickly followed where the sounds came from. Jogging down through several pathways.

Until it stopped, spotting the one responsible.

A large human male.

The one who will choose…

This was the titan Evander.. he was wearing light black armor over his black clothing.

He raised his one edged great sword he used to cut down the knight and rested it on his right shoulder.

"Hm?"

He spotted the Knight, it's eyes full of lust for blood.

The knight roared and charged towards him, Evander raised and swung his great sword. Cutting through the Knight's cleaver and the Knight itself with ease.

It's body turned to ashes in an instant after being easily taken down.

Evander sighed in disappointment, looking down at its remains.

"This isn't enough.."

Choose a knight Sivert told him….

Evander was told all about his plans and the creation of his 'hell'. A test of strength for the Guardians.

So when he accepted Sivert's requests to help him, he was excited. He was tasked with two things.

Showing his army of Darkness Guardian tactics and what to expect. So that way, they will be better prepared.

And to pick a Knight that will serve as the leader of Sivert's Hive in his place.

The titan decided to do that first.

Evander was currently at the Brood's recently appointed home. Sivert's old island. They built a Fortress within such a short span of time and were starting to worship the Hunter..

The titan didn't really know what to think of Sivert's actions other than that they were not what he'd ever expect from his friend.

Still, he understood why. If he just gave the Hive mercy and let them out of his Throne World the amount of lives they'd take…

It'd be catastrophic. It'd be the same even if Sivert sent them off so some world for them to live on. They would just go out and kill anything they could find.

The Hive are monsters..

There's no changing that, but even if they are. Sivert wasn't going to genocide an entire species..

The Hive now follow him and he will keep them in control.

Hell.. having warriors like the Hive under his control was a big asset.

So Evander didn't have a problem with it.

The Demon Surtr was also told of Evander's task and just like his master ordered. He had the Brood send their strongest warriors to him after they converted the rest of the survivors.

100 knights were chosen by the rest of the brood but Evander only needed one.

With the strongest selected Surtr had them all march into a cave that was like a maze. They were ordered to slay each other as Evander hunted them down one by one.

To help him clear up the numbers..

And unlike the Demons or Scorn. They did not return to life like them. That is due to Sivert not allowing their resurrection in his Throne World.

The reason being is that the Hive love death. So keeping them from truly dying in battle would bring unnecessary problems since they were so used to their kind dying in battle.

Those who died were weak and don't have the right to exist in their eyes. It'd just complicate things even more if Sivert tried to change that.

Though if they really wanted to stop fighting. All they had to do was ask Sivert and he wouldn't make them.

Currently, Evander was looking for a knight with potential.

A Relentless, Bloodthirsty Knight that the Hive will take as their leader in Sivert's place.

In the middle of his thinking, he heard large footsteps.

The Titan turned around and looked up at the large Knight slowly coming around from the corner.

This one was…

Exotic.

It had five white eyes.. unlike normal hive who have three green eyes.

Not only that, but the way it was positioning itself.. it's grip on its cleaver. It obviously wasn't a newbie.

Evander noticed Hive remains on its cleaver.. so he definitely killed a few others.

"You look tougher.." Evander whispered.

The Knight roared in response, quickly swinging it's cleaver with enough strength that it could cleave an entire Cabal Centurion in half.

Evander raised his left hand, catching the cleaver with ease.

The Knight was stunned at what just happened. Evander was smaller than him, he looked weaker then him.

Yet he casually caught his cleaver that's been used to cut down thousands of lifeforms in his life time?!

Evander increased his grip on the cleaver, crushing it effortlessly.

Showing the mighty strength of the Titan.

The Knight took a step back, clenching it's fist and deciding it's next move.

"I choose you." Evander stated in a dominant tone.

The Knight was silent, focusing his eyes on Evander as he reached out his left hand where a stronger and more sharper Hive Cleaver was transmitted into his grip.

One that was more durable then the Knight's old one and would be useful in the training the Titan was about to give him.

Evander tossed the sword towards the Knight, it landed in front of him. Stabbing into the ground.

"You have skill but you have yet to master your blade."

Evander's words angered the Knight.

The Titan's eyes stared upon him.

"So master it."

He ordered in a cold tone.

The Knight growled, reaching out to grab the cleaver.

He picked it up and let out a mighty war cry.

Evander smiled a little in satisfaction.

This would be fun and something he totally was going to brag about to other's.

Training a Hive Knight.

Hahaha!

The Hunter walked up next to the warlock, the two looked out in the distance where large snowy mountains laid, with one reigning at the top due to its massive size.

At the foot of the mountains laid several tents occupying several Guardians.

"There…?"

"Yes, it will do well as a new Tower. We've already named it. Light's Peak." Nimerah replied, bearing a proud smile.

Sivert smiled a little and rolled his eyes. "Alright.."

"Then you will oversee its construction?"

"Sure."

Nimerah turned to look at him and bowed a little. "Thank you. I have some plans I've been needing to take care of but was so occupied by this."

"No problem."

"Very well. I will be on my way."

Without another word Nimerah departed but not before Sivert fixed a glance at her.

She may be able to fool other people but not him. She was.. nervous..

He could feel her emotions.

Well as curious as he was, it was none of his business. He turned his attention to Light's peak and went over the schematics Shaxx shared with him for the mountain.

Of course Shaxx wasn't the only one, Sivert got opinions from almost everyone before coming to confirm the location with Nimerah.

Several battle hardened Titans put in ideas along with warlocks and Hunter's.

Several minds joining in to create the perfect home.

It was beautiful to witness and experience.

Now, it was time to build it.

Sivert teleported near the peak before beginning.

He stared off by trimming the mountain a little. To make it a more suitable foundation.

He annihilated the tip of it with a simple swipe of his right arm, creating a wind blade that cut it off. Making it more flat and then flew over to it. He examined the length and width and deemed it acceptable.

Sivert looked down and summoned his Lubrae's Ruin glaive. Then, he stared digging and carving inside the large mountain.

Quickly creating several large caverns that would hold the many rooms of the Tower along with it's necessities for the Guardians.

Since the Mountain was large, there was plenty of room for everyone to live here.

Sivert dug several hundred feet down into the mountain before stopping. He then begun the building process.

He teleported the materials gathered for him by Aria and his demons and infused them with some of his own magicules.

This would've taken longer but with the help of his elementals it was easier. He begun constructing the interior.

Creating beautiful white and golden hallways and rooms. Then with special secure rooms such as vaults, training arena's and other important Guardian necessities.

He continued on with creating several large hangar bays since the time when they would return to the skies is near..

Sivert did all of this within the span of 8 hours before finishing up most of the interior of the lower levels.

Then he started with Tower itself. Deciding to honor the old tower, as many of the other Guardians wanted.

Sivert followed the schematics and recreated the Tower half an hour later. Bearing an exact semblance to the old one, such as holding the Tower Plaza, Hall of Guardians, Tower Hangar and Traveler's walk only they were way larger and had more room to along with the rest of the Tower's sections such as Tower North.

It stood at the top of the peak and was engulfed in Light which Aria claimed to be Sivert's since he did use some of his Light in the construction of the Tower.

Along with adding plant life to its plaza to add beauty. Still, it was a lot of Light.

Powerful and Bright.

Once Sivert finished, he moved onto to adding power to the entire Tower and the facilities under.

It was very easy with Aria assisting him and even more easier thanks to Vex Tech they had access to. Aria used her knowledge of the city generators while Sivert used knowledge from memories of the Witness.

Together the two spent a few hours creating a massive and powerful generator that acted as the Tower's main power source.

It's power output was shocking to the two. It was incredible! Not even needing to be connected to anything. Earth was decades away from such technology. Even during the golden age..

It was so powerful and it didn't even need anything to keep it going. It just kept… powering stuff.

"Maybe it's the Light? It is capable of physical transformation, even on a molecular scale. Perhaps the Light you added to it generates the power?" Aria suggested to which Sivert gave a shrug to.

"Not sure. I'll figure it out later though. Let's go bring all that city tech we salvaged years ago here."

That was vital to making the Tower complete..

When Sivert returned to earth he wasn't only there to search for his vault and pay his respects to the dead.

But to also salvage all the tech he could.

Computer technology, jumpships, sparrows, hell he even took several warsats from Earth's orbit and dismantled them for future purposes.

He stored it all in his Pyramid Ship and waited for the time when it would be needed.

Now..

It was.

Spending almost a day he repaired and upgraded all the tech he salvaged. Adding comm towers and server rooms to the Tower, allowing for better communication or storing information.

It was fantastic!

He even repaired several jumpships, storing them in the several hangars.

The tower was starting to feel finished.

Sivert still had to set up the Tower's defenses though. He started off with creating a powerful shield that surrounds not only the tower but the mountain as well. Built using Vex Tech and Light.

A paracausal shield that could withstand millions of warsats firing upon it. Hell a True Dragon would probably have some trouble penetrating as Sivert tested the shield with one of his strongest nuclear magical attacks. Only for the attack to be instantly nullified once coming in contact with the shield.

It was perfect!

Still, there was more to be done. Sivert begun constructing giant cannons along with Tower along with Anti-Air cannons as well.

They were immensely upgraded and powerful. Especially with the addition of warsat tech and again, Sivert's Light.

These defenses were paracausal and carried power that could annihilated the largest of armies or the strongest of foes.

Again, Sivert tested them.

Letting one of the cannons shoot at him. It didn't cause any damage to him but it did destroy some of the barrier's he put up.

So it was good enough. Sivert set up more of these defenses all around the mountain and the neighboring mountains as well. Providing all around defense to the Tower.

Finally.. after spending about two days. Sivert finished constructing the tower and introduced it the Guardians.

"WOOOOHHH!"

"HELL YEAH!"

The Titans roared, the Warlocks clapped, and the Hunter's cheered.

Thousands of praises and words of gratitude were thrown at Sivert. To which he welcomed with open arms.

Along with many hugs from everyone!

"With our new home constructed and finished. I'd also like to announce the reconstruction of the Vanguard. With Nimerah acting as Commander and the warlock Vanguard."

This news got everyone excited as well.

Aside from..

The Hunter's.

Who many quickly backed deeper into the crowd so they wouldn't be chosen.

Sivert saw this and sighed. He expected this but still couldn't believe how much effort the hunter's put in to avoid being chosen or doing the dare.

"I will.. become the Hunter Vanguard and I will let the Titans decide the Titan Vanguard."

The Hunter's were met with relief and accepted the decision.

"I will give a week for the Titans to decide their Vanguard. Until then.. enjoy your new home! Deputy Commander Aurora will be sending out information to your ghost's. Such as each of your room numbers and vault numbers along with new order's" Sivert explained.

Aurora who stood on his right rear gave a light nod.

With that over with, the Guardians departed to the Tower's elevators or stairs. Rushing to the lower floors and racing down to their rooms like children..

There was pushing and shoving.. it was just chaotic.

"Good luck by the way." Sivert told the warlock who already had a concerned expression.

"Wait.. can I have some hel-"

Sivert was already gone..

Leaving Aurora alone to deal with this.

She pouted in disappointment and prepared for the huge amount of work that was left for her.

2 Days Before The Construction Of The Tower

The Warlock Nimerah stared at the two large doors in front of her..

She was standing in front of a large workshop in the middle of the forest not far from Light's peak. Though it looked more like a small castle for a small group of people.

She took a deep breath and raised her left hand, preparing to knock.

The warlock knocked three times..

Within a few seconds, the gates opened and Nimerah was met with a man wearing a grey sleeveless shirt and black pants with boots.

The Titan Vince.

"Commander. Welcome. Kali said you were coming.." he greeted her though judging by his tone.

He sounded amazed.

"She knew?"

Nimerah was also amazed..

Just who was this women..

"Yeah…" Vince scratched the back of his head, he also looked confused.

The titan stepped aside and let her in.

As Nimerah entered she looked at the many work stations all around. There were many failed works or successful ones.

But what amazed her the most was the large forge in the middle of the castle.

There was…

Light radiating from it!

Standing in front of the forge with her arms crossed was a fairly tall women with dark hair tied into a low pony tail.

She wore a white long sleeved shirt with black pants and boots along with black gloves.

Nimerah walked towards her and past a few other titans who were working on gear.

The women standing in front of the Forge of Light was Kali.

Lethaea's other close friend and creator of her gear. She was a resurrected Eastern Blacksmith with a ton of experience and.. an Ultimate Skill.

Though no one knows what it does. Not even Lethaea or Sivert do.

Nimerah stopped just a few feet away from Kali.

The Titan turned around, her yellow eyes looking upon Nimerah like she was an annoyance.

"It's nice to finally meet you.. Kali." Nimerah greeted in an awkward manner. She wasn't used to being looked upon like that and because she was trying to be respectful so she could try and.. get some gear from her.

"Mm.. I'm busy at the moment so let's cut to the chase. My personal work doesn't come cheap."

Those words struck Nimerah hard.

She came here, hoping to get new armor and a staff for her made by Kali herself but at the moment she was broke as hell!

Many Guardians tried to get personal orders from her but she was just too expensive for any of them. So it's mostly her pupils who make most of the gear for the Lightbearer's.

Vince included, the Titan took up tutelage under her. Hoping to learn a lot more!

Kali doesn't seem to care about gold when creating stuff for Lethaea or Sivert who the Titan befriended due to their love for weapons.

Also because Sivert showed her his vault which she has access to in hopes she could learn to create such weapons!

So she creates anything they want for free.

"I.. want a discount." Nimerah replied, staring into the blacksmith's eyes.

"Like hell. I don't even know you."

"Please… I don't have armor.. only a staff. I want to be prepared for when the times comes that I have lead my Guardians into battle. And you're the only one who can do such a thing."

There was no response from Kali and so Nimerah pushed harder.

"I will get you the money. No matter how long it takes. I swear upon my very Light that I will pay you back."

Kali grinned, seeing people be so desperate for her beloved work..

It made her feel high and mighty.

But.. perhaps this could be an opportunity. She could probably get not only money but a favor out of Nimerah as well.

"You want Armor and a staff?"

Hope returned to Nimerah when she heard that.

"Yes."

"You're a warlock?" the Titan quickly asked.

"Yes, I am."

Kali's eyes looked down at Nimerah. Examining her frame and mentally measuring her.

"Well let's get you some new gear. It'll cost you ten million gold."

Nimerah gulped at the price.. it'll take a while for her to gain that much.

Oh how she was going to be a laughing stock.

The Commander in debt!

"No matter how long it takes or whatever other situation you're in. I will get my money."

Kali stated with a cold glare.

She'll chase Nimerah across space and time if need be just to get her money.

"Understood."

Kali gave a satisfied nod and turned around. "Good. Now let's get to work."

Nimerah smiled in excitement. She couldn't wait to see what new gear she'd get!

The ground shook around her.

Each punch thrown, full of power and persistence.

She brutally destroyed the magisteel built pillar in front of her. Lobbing precise and deadly strikes with her fist.

She created holes and dents with each punch landed on the pillar. Showing off her amazing strength.

"Ain't you sexy?"

She threw one last punch for today, destroying the pillar.

Her body was covered in sweat and scars from previous battles. She wore a black tank top with black pants and boots.

Along with black fingerless gloves.

"Sigrun is it? Sivert's new babysitter."

The human titan turned halfway around to look at the one responsible for disturbing her training.

The Hunter Lethaea.

She walked in the large open room casually. Wearing nothing but a simple garments colored in black and red.

"I am his protector. Not his babysitter."

Lethaea smiled at the titan. A mischievous smile.

"I think you misunderstand your role Sigrun."

"How so?"

The titan was quick to respond. Having many doubts about Lethaea's words.

Lethaea stopped in front of the Titan examined her, liking what she was seeing.

"The main reason Aria created your fireteam is not to protect Sivert. But to fight his battles."

The Titan turned to fully face the Hunter.

"He's fully capable of protecting himself. But what Aria wants is to keep his true power hidden. That.. is your true duty. Even Kaguya understands that."

Sigrun was silent at the revelation. Now in deep thought..

"You see.. Sivert is our protector. Your not his. But he can't protect against enemies at his level if they already know how strong he is or what his weak points are."

"An element of surprise…." Sigrun whispered.

"Bingo!"

Lethaea poked the Titan's nose playfully, annoying her.

"I guess your not dumb like the other Titans. So now you understand your real job and why Sivert doesn't bring you with him unless he's out in this world."

Sigrun gave the Hunter a suspicious expression. She crossed her arms and asked her a question.

"Is that the only reason you came here then? To tell me this?"

"Pretty much.. I just need to make sure you understand if your going to be around him. Don't need you making him look bad. Make sure you teach that to any new recruits as well. Got it Captain?"

Sigrun raised a brow at that last sentence.

"Captain?"

"Right.. Sivert told me through thought communication to let you know that you're the Captain of the fireteam. Therefor it's your responsibility to recruit other's to the fireteam and to teach them everything about it. Along with a bunch of other stuff but I'm to lazy to say all of that. Now, I'm going to go. Bye!"

Lethaea turned around and sprinted away, as if she was trying to make it somewhere in time.

Sigrun watched her depart.

Great…

Now there was more to think about. Like who the hell to recruit?!

Sivert leaned down and opened the large chest in front of him. He was met with thousands of gold coins. He looked up and at the several other chests filled with gold coins and stellar gold coins.

"Your wine sold out." Lethaea explained and added on with a teasing tone. "Many of those nobles kept coming back for more. Exhausting their savings and even resorting to getting loans just to buy more. It's hilarious honestly, there was a few who claimed we robbed them as well."

Sivert didn't think he'd make this much, especially from a simple stand in front of Lethaea's mansion!

"Congratulations Sivert! Your richer then me! And one of the richest people in this cursed world."

"Heh.."

Sivert's never seen so much money. This was more than he had!

"Thank you Lethaea. I couldn't have done it without you."

Lethaea shook her head. "I doubt that. You totally could've pulled it off. All I did was attract the drunks with my beauty."

Sivert chuckled and reached out his right hand, grabbing his fellow hunter by the waist and pulling her closer to him.

"Did that make you jealous?" she whispered playfully as she clung to him.

"No. I just want to reward you for your efforts."

Lethaea licked her lips and the two quickly shared a lover's kiss. Passionate and sweet.

"All night.. ok? No.. all day as well." Lethaea whispered in the middle of their kiss.

"Is that the reward you want?"

The Hunter responded by grabbing Sivert's crotch with her right hand.

"Well.. I really want to go all week cause I know this stallion down here is capable of that. But I'm being lenient for your sake."

Sivert scoffed, "My sake?"

"Mhm.. you'd lose your mind if we made love for one whole week."

Now that he thinks about it. Sivert probably would.. especially with a lustful women like Lethaea who can easily drain him.

She'd make him go crazy..

"Well then. A day it is."

Lethaea giggled as Sivert picked her up and carried her bridal style. Taking her to their room to reward her.

Lyra stood tall, staring down the Arch Demon lent to her by Aria.

A training dummy for the warlock.

A Red Lineage Arch Demon, who wore a black long sleeved shirt with a dark paisley red vest and black pants with boots and gloves.

She had white skin and beautiful crimson eyes along with shoulder length black hair with a red ombre.

A demon with the appearance of a young women.

She looked like she was apart of the mafia with her outfit. But the reason for her look was due to Sivert's luxurious tastes. Which she inherited once being named by him.

The Arch Demon stood there idly, waiting for Lyra's signal.

The Warlock finally gave a small nod and the Arch Demon prepared her magic.

Powerful black flames from hell itself engulfed her right hand and the Arch Demon threw a black fireball at Lyra.

It soared at fast speeds and though it was small. It had destructive capabilities that could destroy an entire moon.

Black inextinguishable flames that can burn fire itself. A special demonic magic this demon obtained thanks to the Salvation she received from Sivert.

Lyra placed her left leg forward and got into a combat stance.

The burning ball of flame crashed against Lyra's right palm and disappeared.

Surprising the demon.

Lyra smirked underneath her helmet.

Her unique skill Valkyrie really was unfair as it possessed two powerful abilities.

Foresight and Freya's Touch.

Foresight allows Lyra to see a person's next moves and intent simply by looking at them.

It also worked with Universal Sense, which her unique skill Valkyrie also possessed. Meaning she could see everyone moving around her and their next moves.

Valkyrie also came with Thought Acceleration and Ultra-Speed regeneration.

Freya's Touch grant's Lyra a spiritual body constitution that has the ability to suppress or "Seal" all spiritual/magical forces that Lyra comes into contact with and it can use the negated force to counteract physical energy.

It can also shut down a majority of skills, possibility even ultimate skills but can only be shut down by Lyra's touch and doesn't stay shut off forever.

The skill can be turned on and off at will and Lyra still believes it has more power to it. She just has yet to find out what it is.

By simple touching the fireball lobbed at her direction, Lyra shut the magic down, nullifying it with ease.

The warlock took off running towards the Arch Demon who lobbed several more powerful magics toward her direction. All being nullified within seconds.

The demon quickly resorted to physical violence. She thrust her right palm forward, aiming for Lyra's chest.

The warlock seeing the attack coming grabbed the demon's hand with her left and utilized her skill.

"Ugh…!"

The Arch Demon dropped to her knees, unable to use her skills or magic. She looked up at Lyra who delivered a palm strike to her face with her right hand.

Completely annihilating the Demon's head and sending the body miles into the distance.

Lyra crossed her arms and smiled in satisfaction.

With this unique skill alone, she was already the second most powerful Guardian in Sivert's group and possibly to exist.

She could even nullify Light and Dark.

Still, the skill drained Lyra a lot of mental energy and required more mastering. So, for now.

She'll keep it as a secret trump card.

"Lyra. Just received word from Aurora's ghost. The Tower's finished and your presence is requested."

Right.. Lyra hasn't been around other Lightbearer's for about a week.

Time to head back!

"That it?" Sivert curiously asked the High Elf while peeking behind him.

There was a horse pulling a large carriage full of regular elves along with dark elves.

"They were part of my village. Leaving them would be unholy. I ask that you take them in as servants as well. They can serve as simple palace servants if you wish."

Palace Servants..

"Well I don't have a palace and they don't need to serve me. They live alongside us."

"They'd be honored."

Sivert did not respond, only gazing at the carriage. One of the elves peeked out from the covers and saw met his gaze.

A child..

She quickly hid back in the carriage, consumed by fear.

With that, it was obvious they did not have a friendly relationship with humans.

Poor guys..

"Come. I'll show you to your new home."

He'll keep them at the tower for a little, probably build a home for them in one of the neighboring mountains or in the Jura Forest.

Their blades clashed repeatedly, sending powerful shockwaves that shook the caverns.

The Knight was exhausted.. it's been dueling Evander for what felt like weeks.

But it's only been a few days..

Still, it persisted.. taking in the knowledge Evander shared and mimicking his movements as best as it could.

And soon, Evander's Great Sword was cut in half while the Knight's Cleaver was destroyed.

It stood there, panting and growling. Fueled with rage and the desire to brutally murder something!

To rip it apart and watch it die the most painful death imaginable!

Evander raised his broken blade and took a closer look.

"It's done.."

He created a monster that will cause fear among his fellow guardians.

The Knight let out all its fury with a mighty roar that rivaled even the mightiest of Hive Ogres and Evander once again smiled.

Proud of his work.

End!

Well here it is, I originally planned on uploading this on April 20th and keeping up with the upload schedule I had which was uploading every month but I wasn't able to come to a conclusion on what I wanted, which is the reason why it's only 8000 words. I rewrote it so many times that it just exhausted me and I needed a break, that and I needed to focus on school as my finals were coming up.

But I'm back and I'm going to try to get back on my schedule. I'll probably upload Chapter 29 within a few days as that is already finished, I just need to revise it and fix grammar issues.

This chapter still feels sloppy to me but I wasn't sure how else to proceed and just wanted to get it over with. But I will definitely come back to add more and fix some stuff once I get Chapter 29 and 30 out which will finish this cursed Arc that destroyed my mentality!

Hope you enjoyed and continue reading!

Have a good day!
