hoc sustinete, majus ne veniat malum (endure this evil, less a greater one come upon you)
- Phaedrus
Luna stood halfway across the drawbridge, watching Majora scuttle after Link and Zelda. Sometimes having to shove Majora away, Link stayed near Zelda, his old nemesis quite an annoyance but something he had to get used to.
The Kokiri sighed, shoulders dropping. "You should have told them…" She rubbed her tired eyes. Why couldn't I tell them? "Well, whatever. Gotta go tell Sheik and Zelda they can come out now."
Luna scuttled towards the castle, however, knights had amassed at the Market, getting in the way. She noticed that most of them held red shields with white crosses. Luna frowned. Just like the shield of Alencon…
The old knight strolled before the assembled knights. "Hospitallers, Templars...the Gossip Stone by Hyrule Castle has an engraving of Baphomet on it. Our patient foe has finally found us. Therefore, the time has come for us to take action." He clasped his hands behind his back. "The Royal Family remains inactive, Her Majesty sulking in her room like a little girl who didn't get her birthday present." He spun on his heels, facing the knights. "We must meet Legion head on in the late of night. We cannot give them time to organize, less he uses the eastern forest as his own stronghold."
Luna listened from afar. Legion isn't here...
"Sir Châtel, what about Legion's ally, this Phantom Ganon?" a knight asked.
"Doesn't he have magical attacks?"
"What defense do we have against sorcery?"
"Strike his magic with your sword," the old knight answered his men. "It will bounce back at him."
"And Legion? If this enemy is a panoply of many demons from another realm, how can we deal with something we've never experienced?"
"Do not fret. The faith of a few will overcome a multitude of the faithless," Sir Châtel encouraged. "We will clear out the Temple of Time midnight, then explore the forests afterwards, ensuring this Baphomet fiend does not infiltrate Hyrule Castle. We should find Legion and his puppets soon afterwards. We will slaughter the demons in a single, relentless swoop. Until midnight, we must keep low profile so we can take Legion by surprise."
The knights growled, eager for violence, and headed off, Luna watching them go. She pushed her hand through her hair and sighed. She looked up and gasped—the old knight stood before her.
Sir Châtel opened his visor, leaning over the albino. Unfazed, Luna kept eye contact, her back straight.
He frowned but spoke softly, "I know what you really are."
Luna blinked once, twice. "What am I?"
"Your real name is Vesania."
Luna cocked her head. "Hunh?"
Sir Châtel's jaw clenched. "You don't remember. But I do." He calmed. "Not that it matters. You fled your forest, though you cannot escape your fate. None of us can. Go back home, to the place you are meant to be… The way you are meant to be."
Luna frowned. "I don't listen to you." She stepped aside, the elder straightening himself to let her pass.
"Do not forget, Luna… Kibou will find you. He always has."
Luna froze, fists clenched. She turned her head, a snarl plastered over her face. Deep within her vicious pink eyes, tiny teardrops formed, burning her face. She walked away before the tears rolled.
"And when everything finishes one last time…" Sir Châtel said. "Kibou will reunite with his first Kokiri, Ilianne…just as you always wanted."
Luna entered the Temple of Time, walking over the red carpet and the pedestal, sunset light shining through the windows. "Sheik?" She found him before a sacred altar, after that a tabernacle-like rise leading to a framed section of wall. "Sheik?"
Sheik, still disguised, looked back. "Hm? Oh, hi Luna! Didn't notice you!"
"Why are you here?"
Sheik stepped aside, gesturing the sacred altar, which had three indents for things to be placed upon. "See this?"
Luna went to the altar, unable to read the script. "A table?"
Sheik chuckled. "This altar is where three spiritual stones must be placed. When a special song is played by a certain instrument, the Door of Time opens, leading to the Master Sword and the Sacred Realm…"
Luna and Sheik looked back, a disguised Princess Zelda suddenly behind them. Even the mischievous royal had good manners here. "He once placed the Spiritual Stones upon that altar. Mother sometimes told us stories about the Hero of Time. Seems like a cool guy."
"Then why were you rude to him?" Sheik asked.
"Gotta see what he's made out of."
Luna pondered. "Oh?"
Sheik sighed. "This place…was always special for me. I never knew why, but I feel like my whole life came from this temple. I just feel so… Hm… I feel like there's a mystery waiting for me to walk into…if that makes sense."
"Life feels like a mystery I can't solve," Luna commented.
"I know, right?" Sheik agreed.
"Sucks we'll all be dead before we can!" the princess optimistically remarked, the children chuckling.
"Oh, and the queen left," Luna said, "I watched her go with her friends." Eyes low, Luna pushed her hand through her hair. "I wanted to talk to them but… Um… Some grown-ups got in the way."
"People are always a problem, hunh?" Zelda said.
"No, they aren't," the prince corrected.
Not caring about her brother, Princess Zelda's eyes brightened as she clasped her hands. "I've waited a long, long time for this… I can't wait to get the hell out of this boring place!"
"Whoa! Easy, sister, easy! We're doing this to help Mom! We gotta tell her what Luna told us!"
Zelda scowled. "Don't tell me to take it easy! I want out of this place! I'm so sick of being stuck at home!" She spun around and, chin up, took her leave. "I'm gonna see Death Mountain… No! Lake Hylia! No, Zora's River!"
Sheik sighed. "That girl has no self-control…"
"Why does she act like that?" Luna asked.
Sheik shrugged. "Let's go after her before she runs off. Once we get our backpacks and supplies from our hiding spot, we can find Mom and deliver your advice."
Luna sighed. "Is it really important? I don't think so, I…" It is really important… Jaw clenched, fists balled, Luna shivered, veins in her hands and temples bulging.
Sheik cocked his head. "Luna? Are you alright?"
She closed her eyes, breathing softly.
Sheik stepped closer, gently placing his hand on the albino's shoulder. "Luna? What's wrong?"
Luna almost slapped his arm off. "Nothing!" Everything… She sharply inhaled, leaning away from fright.
Sheik grabbed both of Luna's shoulders, leaning into her, his eyes full of concern and refusing to lose contact with Luna's. "Luna! There's something wrong! You gotta tell me what it is!"
Luna failed to hold back a few teardrops. She wiped her face with her overly long sleeves and rolled her shoulders, stepping away from Sheik's grasp. The prince walked around her, facing his strange friend, who shut her eyes and quivered.
"Luna… Please tell me what's wrong."
She croaked, unable to form words. Luna refused to breathe until she convulsed, remaining standing.
Sheik shook his suffering friend. "Luna! Snap out of it!"
"What's wrong!?" Princess Zelda exclaimed as she re-entered the temple, running over.
Luna buckled; Sheik caught her before she hit the floor. He knelt, setting Luna's shoulders over his knees.
Zelda crouched, wondering what was happening to Luna, who appeared possessed by futility. The albino deeply inhaled and sat up, eyes bloodshot. She wanted to push Sheik away but he hugged her, whispering comforting words.
The albino sighed. "I-I'm…better. D-don't t-tuh-t-touch m-m-me."
Sheik eased off.
Knees shaky, Luna got up. "We need to leave, right now." She tottered towards the exit, Sheik running up and helping her move.
"Luna? What's going on?" Zelda asked, walking along.
Luna gasped, her friends pausing. The Kokiri slowly exhaled. "If you want to see… Go look behind the altar."
The princess scurried, hopping over the altar and checking behind it. "There's nothing, just the Door of Time, closed as always."
"When I am far away enough…you will see. Sheik, let go." He did so, Luna regaining composure. "Thank you. When I exit this place, you will see."
Sheik frowned. "What will I see?"
"What scares me."
"Which is?"
"I…can't explain it. I can only feel it, not see it. All I know is that we have to go. If you see it, you will want to leave, too. So go see what scares me…then meet me outside the temple."
Zelda mounted the altar. "So, you can't see it, but when you're away, we will see…whatever we gotta see?"
Luna nodded.
"Why?" the princess demanded.
"Mīkāʼēl…he doesn't like me. I don't know why." Luna briskly walked out.
The prince sighed. "What a strange person…" He headed to his sister.
Zelda jumped off, landing beside Sheik, blood spattering from her shoes. She paused. "Wait, what?"
The siblings stepped back, blood trickling from the edges of the Door of Time and puddling on the floor. In the middle of the great stonework, where the doors would separate, red bubbles appeared.
"I'm out!" the princess stated, leaving.
"Me to!" Sheik followed her, both soon running.
Prince and princess leapt out the Temple of Time, Luna waiting for them, staring with her ghostly face.
"Luna!?" Sheik panted. "What was—"
"What the hell was that!?" Zelda screamed.
Coldly empty, Luna moved her hand through her hair. "An old friend."
Princess Zelda frowned, eyes furious. "Your friend?" She put her fists against her hips. "That's all you have to say? Just your friend?" Zelda leaned into Luna. "How dare you not share this with us sooner!"
The pale maiden remained expressionless. "I forgot." Luna heard the ensuing slap before feeling it. She staggered, touching her cheek, face burning with redness.
"Zelda!" Sheik cried, stepping between the girls. Before Sheik could say any more, Zelda slapped him, too, his head turning from the impact.
"Get out of my face, stupid boy!" Zelda walked past her stunned brother and glared at Luna. "I'm taking you to Mother and you're telling her everything you damn well know!"
"Alright," Luna nonchalantly replied, "let's go."
"Follow me, prisoner," Zelda snarled.
Sheik walked alongside the forest child, rubbing his cheek. "Luna, I'm so sorry…" His eyes widened—Luna pleasantly smiled at him, her cheek still red from Zelda's strike.
"Don't be."
The princess stopped.
"What is it?" Sheik asked.
Zelda turned on her heels, facing the several nearby Gossip Stones. All of them had engravings of an androgynous demon, carvings depicted with their right arm bent up, left bent downwards.
Zelda frowned. "Never seen those markings before." She faced Luna. "What do they mean?"
Luna shrugged. "I don't know, I never cared much for those statues."
"Are you lying?"
"No."
"Well, at least they're not as scary as the blood going out the walls…" Sheik remarked.
"Wait... Do you hear something?" Luna asked.
Zelda scowled at her. "What?"
"Listen."
Sheik looked around. "I hear it, too. Sounds like it's coming from…"
The children looked at the Temple of Time. Large, bloody footprints appeared along the ground, one after the other, slowly approaching…
Princess Zelda blinked once, twice. "Oh, shit."
The royals stepped backwards, Luna motionless.
"Don't just stand there!" Sheik yelled, pulling Luna around, her eyes rolling backwards into her head, jaw loose. He shook her. "Luna! Come back!"
The footfall intensified, blood spattering with each step…
Sheik smacked Luna; she gasped, regaining herself. She watched the new footprints bleeding towards her. She felt heat flow through her clothes, face moistening, mouth and nostrils filling with the iron tinge of blood…
The entity sprang; Luna covered her face and darted off with her friends.
"What the hell is that!?" Princess Zelda cried.
"I don't think I wanna know!" Sheik yelled.
They ran to the Market, swerving amid people.
Breathing heavily, Luna wiped her face, fighting the urge to look back. Her heart skipped a beat, spine and skin tingling. The sensation of nibbling and poking and licking all flowed across her skin, exhales and snarls brushing her ears. A few strands of hair plucked out; she clutched her head, hearing Sheik and Zelda wheeze from discomfort.
Townsfolk wondered why the children ran. Luna noticed the little blue creature leap from the water, wiggle mid-air, then plop back into the fountain.
Buildings creaked as an invisible force rippled throughout the town, many people jumping from fright, even the trees shaking.
"Everyone, get back!" a guard yelled, though Luna didn't watch as chaos erupted: Market stalls flipped over. People scurried. Wind distorted and changed direction randomly. Rips appeared in the air, ribbons of reality fluttering while blood leaked from the floating holes.
"I can't see—" The guard was cut-off by a wet crunch.
Head low, Luna covered her ears, though still heard scream after scream behind her…
The air ripped in front of Luna as she ran, a cut forming across her cheek. Gasping, she held the wound, warm wetness trickling through her fingers.
"Oh-whoa!" Something grabbed Luna's hand, whiplash nearly yanking her down. She realized her left arm had overextended, palm bleeding. "Ah!" An invisible force pulled er, one of the floating rips opening—an eyeball as big as Luna blinked into reality, floating while looking around.
Luna pulled her arm, though it remained stuck, somehow. She grabbed her arm, trying to wrench it free. "It's like there's a hook through my hand!" Her arm jerked; she staggered. Another sudden pull; she fell, arm extended as she was dragged across the street, panicked people tripping over her.
Luna put herself to a sitting position, pushing her heels into the road, though slid along anyways, arm feeling like it was being ripped off. She shivered; the giant eyeball stared at her. Her arm was yanked again, towards that horrible eye…
A spear whizzed over Luna, striking the eyeball. A groan reverberated underneath Luna, the eyeball shutting and retracting, the floating rip closing, eyeball and spear disappearing.
Luna turned her head, a weaponless guard nearby. High-pitched rattling echoed; the guard grabbed his neck and was pulled off his feet, dragging backwards until disappearing into another floating rip of flickering realty. Luna's big, pink eyes widened as several people were flung aside, floating holes blinking and those mid-air disappeared…
...Luna opened her eyes, now flat on her back as panicking people ran about. A little mutt scurried over and nuzzled her. She sat up, watching the puppy bark. The dog barked, spinning through the air and vanishing, some fur fluttering where the animal once had been.
Teeth clenched, the albino worked her stuck hand, trying to dislodge whatever held it. Wet stomps sounded—big, bloody footprints approached Luna. Her breathing intensified. Luna flinched; the footprints smeared sideways, trailing off quickly amid echoing rattles. After a whooshing sound, blood pooled, no more new footprints…
"Luna!" Sheik pushed through the crowd and grabbed Luna's outstretched arm.
"Ow! You're hurting me!" Luna whined.
"Why's it stuck!?"
"I don't know!"
Sheik grabbed an invisible thing and pulled it out Luna's hand, blood spattering; something clinked against the road.
"Let's get out of here!" Sheik cried.
Luna nodded, off they went, the Market mostly cleared of people.
"Where is everybody!?" Sheik yelled; he gasped as Zelda fell atop him. "Ow! Sis! What are you doing!?"
Zelda spat blood and shook her head. "I have no idea what just happened…"
"Can you, like, get off me?" Sheik asked.
Wiping her mouth, the Princess of Hyrule got up, Luna helping Sheik stand.
He smiled at her. "Thanks."
Luna smiled back, injured hand a bit shaky. The children looked around, ribbons of reality flapping here and there, nothing else moving.
"Where is everyone!?" Zelda cried, no grownups in view.
"Taken," Luna answered.
"Where?" Sheik and Zelda both asked.
"The gap between dimensions."
"Don't know what that is, but sounds exactly like why we can't stay here!" Sheik took a step then bounced backwards, landing on his rear.
As if a curtain blowing from wind, a section of reality flapped, darkness set where a window would have been. Long claws moved a panel of reality as if opening a widow, a length of blackness fluttering.
"I don't like the looks of that…" Zelda commented.
"Shhh…" Luna whispered, "Don't let it hear you…"
A spindly arm wriggled from the darkness, longer and longer with every twitch, an elbow jointed every two feet, the arm seemingly endless. It felt the ground, tapping its claws against the road, unable to find children.
Luna lifted her foot as the grotesque arm writhed along the ground, its joints and tendons frequently popping, claws narrowly missing her.
Holding his breath, Sheik stepped—the arm swung towards the sound. He snorted, ducking as the claws arched overhead, innumerable elbows crackling…
"Take this!" the princess yelled, opening her robe and unleashing a Bombchu; it crisscrossing up the arm, skating into the floating darkness where the arm came from then exploded within.
The arm groaned, flopping against the ground, fingers overextending until they bent backwards
The children ran to the exit.
"Why is my mouth bleeding?" Zelda wiped her reddened mouth then glared at the Kokiri. "You better have a really, really good explanation for all this, Luna!"
"I don't have one!"
Up ahead, the gate guard stood at his post, quite nervous. He lifted his visor. "What's going on? I heard lots of screaming but now there's nothing!"
"You better start running, too!" Sheik warned.
The guard pointed down the street. "Watch out!"
Luna, Zelda and Sheik looked back. The vast silhouette of an angry mouth stretched across the street, the top of the silhouette having a floating eye that repeatedly blinked then widened—a blue beam shot out, gnawing the road.
Sheik skipped sideways, Luna and Zelda jumping in opposite directions as the beam burnt along betwixt them.
The gate guard sidestepped, the beam passing him then running out of energy. He ran forth, ramming his spear into the shadowy mouth, stopping its gargling advance. "Get out of here! I'll hold him off!" He wrestled his spear against the monstrous entity as the children fled.
"Where the hell's the other guards!?" the gate guard complained, kicking the vast mouth back. "Oh-whoa!"
Luna spun around; the gate guard was halfway inside the silhouetted mouth, legs kicking. She grabbed his leg and pulled, though the silhouette flailed him to and fro, knocking her down. She got up; the siblings jumped over her and grabbed the guard's legs, trying to pull him out, his spear tilting up and down as if a toothpick between the entity's lips.
The glowing eyeball turned over, flashing blue. Luna yanked the spear out and threw it at the eye; the silhouette flashed red and groaned, the beam shooting into the air…
The sensation of falling overwhelmed Luna, blackness everywhere…
…Luna opened her eyes, flat on her back. She sat up, wondering what happened. Sheik and Zelda were hurled aside, crashing upon Luna. The silhouetted entity flashed like purple flame, flickering.
The children untied themselves from each other and got up, looking around drastically. All that remained nearby was a spear. Zelda and her brother breathed heavily, Luna rather calm. They overheard echoes of breathing so paused, the echoing stopping. Sheik exhaled, his breath reverberating across the road.
"Why's it—" Zelda's voice bounced betwixt the buildings, WHY'S IT—WHY'S IT—WHY'S IT—Why's it—why's it...
It was Luna's turn to scowl. Zelda shrugged.
Several windows shattered, grotesque arms launching out, arms like the first one that appeared. The immense appendages writhed out the buildings like demented snakes, arrays of elbows loudly cracking as the clawed fingers twitched.
Grimacing, Zelda felt her robe. "Last one…" She sent a Bombchu down the street; the demonic arms flung after it while the children ran towards the drawbridge.
An explosion echoed behind Luna, followed by a choir of groans. Her shoes thudded across the drawbridge as she ran. Upon touching grass, she collapsed, tasting dirt…
…Luna snorted awake, sitting up.
"Luna!" Sheik yelled, wincing from pain as he helped her up.
Senses regained, though lungs burning from dryness, Luna's eyes widened as she beheld Sheik. His face and clothes were mapped with fresh cuts.
Luna frowned, tasting blood in her mouth. "What happened?" She wiped her lips, blood smeared along her sleeve.
Sheik pulled Luna into a hug. "I thought we lost you…" After a few seconds, Sheik eased off, teary-eyed.
Luna turned her head. Princess Zelda's haggard robe had rips, her hands and face cut up and bleeding. Zelda was not happy.
Luna looked back though saw nothing, just a single spear on the road, hearing the river rushing underneath… A breeze flowed from town, carrying an iron smell.
"Too bad we…" Zelda caught her breath, "couldn't get our supplies…"
Clanking echoed. The drawbridge shook and began rising behind the children. Splatting echoed next, red footprints appearing, quickly trailing up the street.
"Not him again!" Sheik exclaimed, rearing. The children dove, helping raise the drawbridge; it arose fully.
A loud thud sounded; the children gasped. Something clawed from the inside...
The prince sighed with relief. "Whoever he is… He's not getting passed all that wood!"
The drawbridge banged, splinters flying—the children ran away, leaving the castle town behind them. The quiet countryside and calm homesteads awaited them.
Eventually, they slowed to a jog, then to a winded walk, though the farmlands were inactive.
"We…made it?" Zelda asked. She grabbed her chest. "My heart's beating…so freakin' hard…" She spat out blood. "At least we made it…right?"
Luna looked at Sheik, his arms and legs shaky.
"Phew… I c-can't st-st-stop sh-shaking…" Grabbing his head, Sheik sat down, shaking uncontrollably.
Why is he so scared? Luna thought.
Princess Zelda clenched her fists and screamed from frustration. "Mom! Where are you when we need you!?" She glared at Luna. "And now you're not even worried anymore!?"
Luna walked past Zelda, uninterested…
…Luna sat up, Sheik waddling over.
"Luna! Are you alright?" He knelt by her.
"Yes, I am. Nothing happened."
Sheik's eyes softened. "Luna…this is like the third time you suddenly fell. You were talking to yourself."
Luna blankly stared. "I don't…remember that happening."
"Sounded like you were having a bad dream," Zelda commented.
"What? That can't be right…"
"What did you dream about?" Sheik asked.
Luna chuckled, then innocently looked at Zelda. "I don't remember."
Princess Zelda was unamused. "Oh, of courrrse…"
"Do you seriously not remember what you were dreaming?" Sheik softly asked.
Luna thought hard, nothing came. "No. I never dream." Her eyes rolled backwards into her head.
"Luna!" Sheik leaned.
The Kokiri shook her head, returning to normal and getting up. "I'm fine, I'm fine!"
The kids gasped—a bang echoed from the gatehouse.
Sheik checked behind himself to make sure nothing sneaked on him. Nothing was. He sighed. "Luna, you've been acting really weird lately. Now you've got falling sickness or something...at the worst time ever."
Luna made a quizzical look. "Really weird things are happening, are they not?"
"Describe them to me," Sheik almost demanded.
Luna thought for a second, and for a second second, then a third… Nothing came out.
Zelda grunted. "Did you already forget or something?"
Luna's eyes lowered. "I… What? I…don't…"
Zelda walked away, throwing her arms up in anger. "Ughhh! You're hopeless!" She cocked her head, staring between Luna and Sheik.
Banging echoed from the drawbridge again.
Sheik spun around, the dirt road behind him…remaining dirt. He sighed. "I think that thing's trapped."
"Yeah, I don't think he passed the drawbridge," Zelda said.
"Where's that guard?" Luna dumbly asked.
The princess rolled her eyes and looked away.
"He got swallowed by that shadowy mouth. You tried saving him but couldn't," Sheik explained.
"Then we had to pull you out. We got cut up pretty bad, no thanks to you," Zelda grumbled.
"What? No, I didn't… When…" Luna looked at her hands, right palm still injured, but the bleeding had stopped. She looked at Hyrule Castle, the entire place currently silent. She checked her hands again, the skin suddenly quite tight around her bones and tendons. She clenched her bony fingers, every joint popping.
"Luna!" Zelda yelled, now over yonder.
"Hunh?"
"C'mon! We're not here to stand around for a thousand years!"
"I'm coming!" She joined with her friends.
Zelda wiped her eyes and sniffled. "Now we really have to find Mom..."
"Oh!" Sheik ran to a homestead, nearly bursting out crying. He banged on the door. "The castle! Something's… Don't go there… You gotta tell everyone not to!"
Luna and Zelda caught up to the prince.
"Sheik! We can't stop for any reason!"
"We gotta tell everyone!"
"There's no time! Those things can be on our tails any second!"
The door opened. A short man with a squarish head appeared. His eyes widened when he noticed the scarred children at his doorstep. "Oh, my! What happened to you!? You need help!"
"Sir! Hyrule Castle is under attack!"
The man's eyebrows raised. "What's going on?"
"We don't know," Princess Zelda said, "but we almost got ourselves killed."
"I can tell!"
Sheik vigorously nodded. "And we can't let anyone go to the castle! Whole place is haunted or something! Could you help us? Everyone needs to know!"
"Of course! Please, come in! Come in!"
"We won't," Zelda asserted, surprising the man.
"They need to find their mom," Luna said. "She's in terrible danger."
The siblings looked at Luna, waiting for her to talk more, but she didn't.
"I understand. Please, would you come in? The wife's got bandages somewhere."
Zelda shook her head. "No. We can't stay."
The man paused, unsure of how to react while Luna blankly stared, all silent.
"You must allow us to treat your injuries… You're horribly hurt!"
"No, you won't be!" Zelda hissed, glaring. "If I told you something once, that's good enough! End of story! We're not staying!"
Sheik was too tired to calm his sister. "Sir, we just need you to spread the word. We're used to cuts and bruises."
The short man sighed, nodded, then leaned into his house. "Yo, Pergie! We gotta warn our neighbors that Hyrule Castle's under attack!"
"What?" a woman called from inside.
"Just make sure the kids don't go anywhere! I'm gonna help our guests!"
"Riiight… Well, don't go off for a nap like last time, then!" the woman warned.
"I won't! I'll be back for supper, love you!"
The man closed the door. "I know someone who can help you, but… I really think you need some bandaging!"
The princess snarled, "Don't treat us like we're useless babies!"
Taken aback, the man shut up. "I am sorry. It was wrong of me to treat you as a child…"
"About damn time you figured it out."
Sheik put a hand on his sister's shoulder. "Sis, he's just being a decent human being…"
"I know!" Zelda rolled her shoulders to get her brother's hand off.
"Sir, you can help us if you know of someone who owns a horse," Sheik said.
"Or two," Zelda added.
The man thought for a couple seconds. "Yeah, actually… I think I know someone… C'mon, this way!"
