Kibou jingled in excitement. "Really!? Luna, I—"

Luna gasped, bright blood frothing through her shirt and leaking out her mouth. She looked down, a spike poking through her ribs—the chain retracted, pulling her off Kuriver, sword cane dropped.

The Wolfos turned their heads, the pale maiden dragged off as more spiked chains rattled amid the trees.

Luna writhed, scraped by shrubs as the chain pulled her across the forest floor. Her shoulder hit a log, stifling movement. She sat up and extended her legs, shakily leaning forwards, spike writhing inside her chest. Luna shut her eyes and screamed—the spike ripped out her back. Jerked from the release of tension, Luna rolled her shoulders, evading a big pair of hands then scurrying off.

"Where do you think you're going!?" Mīkāʼēl growled—Kibou tackled his glasses off, whizzing wildly and distracting the brute.

Quivering, blood squirting out with every heartbeat, Luna clutched her bleeding chest as she weaved through trees. Rosfir's head popped out a bush, her tongue lolling as usual; she ran underneath Luna's legs, scooping her up onto her back.

"To Kokiri Forest..." Luna weakly instructed as her blood soaked her shirt. The albino let her chest fall against Rosfir's back, clutching fur as the beast rushed through the woods, the other Wolfos audibly running around.

Watery pinging sounded. Kibou reappeared. "Talk about bad timing... Luna! Are you alright!?"

Luna sighed. "I'm hurt but I'll...be OK."

"Run, furball, run!" Kibou encouraged, Rosfir grunting at him.

The Wolfos swerved amid trees and rattling chains, often nicked by the incoming spikes, bits of fur and blood flicking out.

"Those springy chains are getting more accurate!" Kibou cried, dodging one himself.

Luna sometimes slipped out of awareness but held onto Rosfir nonetheless. Her blood rushed as Rosfir leapt off a cliff, the Wolfos landing softly then darting forth.

"Great Deku Tree..." Luna whispered, Rosfir barking acknowledgement. Luna lifted her head, though didn't see anyone outside. The entire village was deathly quiet. "Sheik, Luna... Where are..."

Rosfir ran past Mido's house. All the Wolfos hopped across the jumping stones, rushed past the shop, then trampled Deku Babas along the path through the cliff.

Luna lost strength and fell off Rosfir, rolling along the ground, the front of her turtleneck soaked with blood.

Kibou zoomed over. "Luna!?"

She weakly coughed, body painfully tingling from blood loss. "Great Deku Tree... We're back..."

A wet, leathery nose nuzzled Luna's face. Her eyes fluttered open, black light shining at her. Kuriver, Rosfir, Piro, Denol and Rejo stared down at her, panting as their numerous nicks and cuts bled.

Kibou hovered closely. "Luna? You...you there?"

She grunted, feeling her chest, hand reddened. "Sort of."

The Wolfos and Luna looked at the Great Deku Tree. His body creaked, bark withered, distorted into grimacing faces.

Kibou flew over. "Great Deku Tree? Are you alright?"

No response.

Luna's eyes widened. She jumped to her feet, nearly losing balance, trudging towards the guardian. Eyes shiny, she fell to her knees, looking up at the father figure she never appreciated. "I'm...too late..."

"Not quite," a guttural voice commented.

The Wolfos spun around, growling.

Luna turned, Kibou ringing angrily.

Red-Suit stood in the pathway, hands atop each other over his reacquired cane sword.

She glared.

Mīkāʼēl cocked his head and chuckled. "Because of your thievery, little princess, I was unable to arrive on time." He adjusted his sunglasses. "Legion got here first instead. They are responsible for your...current problem." He leaned over his cane sword, blood drooling between his crocodilian teeth. "Nothing I can't handle... Hm!?" He looked up—a spiked chain rattled through the air, stabbing his shoulder. He grabbed the chain...

A dark figure swooped, pulled by the chain, plunging a war hammer straight into Red-Suit's forehead. Hammer head vibrating from impact, Red-Suit was knocked over, his glasses flying off.

Luna, Kibou and the Wolfos gasped, leaves and twigs fluttering from the Great Deku Tree's branches.

The attacker skipped backwards, holding a handheld device in his right hand where its spiked chain retracted into.

A black leather coat covered his mail shirt, his armor and arms made of unpolished black iron. Slung over his shoulder was a black kite shield. His long blond hair, some hanging down over the front of either shoulders, contrasted his black war gear.

Luna caught her breath. "You again." She picked herself up.

The black knight nodded. "You are severely wounded."

Luna scowled. "I'm fine."

"Not even I can ever get some sense into her," Kibou remarked.

The knight paused, accepting the child's stubborn fortitude. He turned, all Wolfos eyeing him warily, pushing their paws into the earth. He knelt, a Wolfos flinching then growling. He stroked Kuriver's neck, the furball's growling gone. Ears back, the Wolfos accepted the kindness, albeit bittersweet. Rosfir waddled forth, thrusting her head into the knight's arms, stealing them for herself and quite proudly so. Having a change of heart, Kuriver looked at her with some jealousy, then grunted as the other Wolfos ran into the knight for some affection.

Luna, too, stared with some jealousy.

A growl caught everyone's attention.

Mīkāʼēl sat up, getting his glasses back on and grasping his elegant weapon. "Always a sneaky rascal, aren't you?"

"At least I can actually aim with a Hookshot," the black knight remarked. He gave attention-seeking Kuriver a few more tough pats before standing.

"That you can." Red-Suit got up, brushing himself off. "Let's see if you're able handling crossed blades—" An arrow thudded into his forehead, a yellow aura swirling against him. He reared, head back while his arms shook, zaps of light flickering throughout his body.

A robed woman fell from the branches overhead, a regal bow in her hand. She landed near the back knight, lowering her head, revealing her queenly face and flowing blonde hair. "You're not good at this, are you?"

The Light Arrow's power dissipated, Mīkāʼēl falling to his knees, stabilizing himself with his cane-sword. He gestured his head upwards. "Anyone else hiding up there?"

Nobody looked back but...a purple woman awkwardly fell, hair trailing like a waterfall before she flopped on her shoulders. She jumped to her feet, hair smeared across her spiky face. Dazed and wobbling, she spat her hair out and clawed her hair backwards. "I'm OK."

Kibou rolled his eyes. "What a way to ruin a serious moment, lady."

Majora shrugged. She looked at Mīkāʼēl, her huge eyes narrowing, facial spikes tightening. "You'll pay for scarring my face, Mīkāʼēl."

Link put away his Hookshot and unsheathed his arming sword.

Majora leaned forth and hissed. "Now that I'm with my friends, you won't get away this time!"

Piro barked once in acknowledgement, his brethren lowly growling.

Red-Suit just grinned, cocking his head and adjusting his glasses. "You were the one who fled, child."

Lady Majora clacked her claws together, taking a few steps forwards. "After I kill you... I'm going after Legion and Vesania. This will be the end of you and all this madness!"

Mīkāʼēl chuckled, turning his attention to Zelda. He partly unsheathed his cane sword, Zelda seeing her reflection in the blade.

The Queen of Hyrule nocked another Light Arrow. "You're outnumbered and outmatched, monster." She pulled back her bowstring, arrow emanating with Magic Power. "Will you be so foolish as to face two bearers of the Triforce?"

Mīkāʼēl clicked his teeth together, pulling his sword out its cane then aligning it towards her. "I will wear your whole head like a mask, girl."

Zelda frowned. "Come on, then, Mikey. Let's see what you can do."

The Wolfos eagerly growled.

"Never imagined I'd fight alongside Wolfos against an interdimensional, time-travelling demon..." Zelda loosed a Light Arrow.

Mīkāʼēl spun, dodging the projectile while Link, Majora and the Wolfos darted forth.

Being much faster, the Wolfos reached Red-Suit first, though already bloodied and winded, lacked strength and quickness. After a brief exchange of claws and blade, Mīkāʼēl swatted aside the Wolfos.

"Kuriver, get them back! You're too hurt to fight!" Luna cried; the Wolfos backflipped but kept their distance, sometimes growling.

Link jumped over Rosfir, sword and war hammer in either hand, shouting as he charged. Red-Suit raised sword and cane, blocking Link's weapons—the Hero of Time headbutted Red-Suit's mouth, helm cracking a few teeth and staggering the big fellow. Red-Suit thrust his sword; Link hooked his war hammer spike and pulled the incoming sword away, swinging his own sword upwards, slitting Mīkāʼēl's chest and sleeveless coat open. The brute swung his cane across Link's helm, staggering him then push-kicked him back.

Majora's hair formed into a fist which she flailed into Red-Suit, impact stifling his lunge and staggering him. Link swung his war hammer into the back of Red-Suit's knee just as Majora drop-kicked the brute, knocking him over. Mīkāʼēl rolled backwards over his shoulders, returning to his feet as Link and Majora charged either side...

While Link and his former nemesis kept Red-Suit busy, Luna groaned, heavily sitting as bubbly blood dripped out her mouth.

Kibou hovered low. "Luna!? What's wrong!?"

"My body's tingling painfully, losing too much blood."

"Hold on, fairy child!" Zelda exclaimed, lowering her bow and rushing over. "I can use my power to help you. Hold tight..."

Meanwhile, Red-suit parried Link's attacks, picked him up, and threw him into the cliff side. Majora screeched, leaping on Mīkāʼēl's back, wrapping her legs around his. She creepily giggled then bit his neck, sinking her fangs while burying her claws into him.

"Link! Duck!" Zelda yelled, he obeying—a Light Arrow whizzed over his head and hit Red-Suit's belly.

Majora hissed as the Light power sizzled Red-Suit, some flowing onto her. She withstood the discomfort, refusing to let go. Stunned by the power of Light, Mīkāʼēl was left vulnerable to Majora's incessant gnawing.

Link sheathed his sword, gripped his war hammer two-handed, and flurried blows into Mīkāʼēl's head. The brute was knocked senselessly, dropping his cane and sword. Surprisingly, his glasses didn't break, hammer bouncing off his skull with every hit.

The queen looked back at Luna, whose bleeding stopped. "Feeling better?" Luna nodded. Zelda snapped her fingers at the Wolfos. "Look after her!" The beasts obeyed.

"I'll do what I can, too!" Kibou assured. "Come on, Luna, let's hide behind the Great Deku Tree's roots!" Off they went.

Zelda nodded. "He reminds me of Link's fairy." She nocked another Light Arrow, magical aura swirling, awaiting a clear shot...

Red-Suit recovered once Zelda's previous arrow's magic wore off. He caught the shaft of Link's incoming war hammer then kneed his sternum; Link sharply exhaled, slumping to his knees. Majora chewed with greater vigor, her prey thrashing to and fro, Majora refusing to let go.

Zelda grunted. "I can't risk hitting Majora..." She relaxed her drawn bowstring, stepping closer.

While Link regained his footing, Mīkāʼēl grabbed a handful of Majora's hair and pulled.

"Not the hairrr!"

He swung her about like a flail, knocking Link over then slamming Majora down, back of her head bouncing off the ground.

"Ohff! That hurt..." Majora tried getting up but fell over from the concussion...

The Wolfos barked and growled, foaming at the mouths, though Luna pulled them back. "They got the fight under control. Rest!"

Zelda moved in as Mīkāʼēl picked up his weapon. She loosed her next Light Arrow—Red-Suit swung his cane, batting aside the projectile. Frowning, Zelda shot a few more times, though her target was quite good at hitting her arrows down when facing her directly.

"That won't do you any good, girl," Red-Suit commented. Zelda pulled her bowstring back but just held it there, Mīkāʼēl waiting...

War hammer in hand, Link charged; Red-suit noticed and began blocking but Link jumped sideways, a Light Arrow zooming past him and nailing Mīkāʼēl's face.

"That do you any good, sir?" the queen asked.

"Nice shot!" Majora complimented as she regained herself, waiting for an opening...

Link took the advantage and threw his war hammer at the stunned brute, pointed side spiking into his forehead.

Mīkāʼēl reared from the impact. "AAGGHH! You little ff—"

Link unsheathed his sword, sending thrusts and overhand chops, Red-Suit's blood spattering all over the hero's armor.

Recovering, Mīkāʼēl breathed—Link slammed a Deku Nut into his foe's face, stunning him anew. With his free right hand, Link grabbed the war hammer still embedded in Red-Suit's head, using it as a lever while thrusting his sword into Mīkāʼēl's kneecap, the brute falling. Link lunged towards his foe's heart—Mīkāʼēl thrust both feet into Link, launching him back.

The brute leapt to his feet, rolling his shoulders to evade a Light Arrow. Stabbing sword and cane into the ground, he ripped the war hammer out his head and threw it at Zelda. She dodged it, shooting another Light Arrow, Red-Suit pulling his sword out the ground and cutting the incoming arrow apart, Light Magic flashing.

Link recovered and charged. With blade and cane, Mīkāʼēl parried all Link's attacks then swung back, cane crashing into his helm and denting it. Link reeled sideways from impact, his foe swinging again—Link rolled around his foe's attack then leapt spinning with great vigor, every revolution his sword cutting Red-Suit's back. Momentum finished, Link frontflipped mid-air while slashing his sword, striking Mīkāʼēl's head which unbalanced him, Zelda shooting him with another Light Arrow.

"Here I come!" Majora yelled, tackling the Light-stunned brute down. She grabbed his collar and repeatedly headbutted him, her facial spikes extending forwards and cutting him up. Yet, even so, and contrary to his extensive wounds and ripped attired, his glasses remained unbroken.

Mīkāʼēl recovered and snapped his jaws around Majora's neck. She squealed. Link ran over and started pommel-striking Red-Suit's head, though he didn't let go.

Majora's hair slithered around Red-Suit's neck, strangling him until he realized something was off. His teeth unlocked and he reared, untying Majora's hair while Link kept kicking him in the head.

Lady Majora wriggled backwards, holding her neck as blue blood gushed out. "Zelda, I think I need your healing powers quick-like!"

"Give me a sec!" Zelda shot Red-Suit again then ran over to help Majora, the Wolfos growling nearby.

Link frowned. "How much more can you take!?" He plunged his sword into Mīkāʼēl's sternum, applying bodyweight until the blade sank.

The Light power faded and Mīkāʼēl grabbed Link's forearm. "Quite a lot," he answered, pulling Link's arm until the sword was hilt-deep. Mīkāʼēl bit over Link's great helm and rolled sideways, pulling Link with him—the Wolfos pounced upon Red-Suit, burying their teeth into him.

Amid the thrashing and rolling, Link freed himself while the beasts used Mīkāʼēl as a chew toy.

"Link! Watch out!" Majora screeched.

Link spun around; several demonic arms slid from the ring of cliffs, lunging at him. He pointed his sword back and spun with great force, blue magic whirring out, blending the horrible hands apart. The hand-less arms screeched, retracting from whence they came.

"Where'd those come from!?" the queen snapped, Light Arrow ready as she scanned the cliffs. Several shadowy eyes of huge size writhed amidst the clifftop trees, pupils glowing. Beams shot, burning into the ground and going after the Bearers of the Triforce, Majora cartwheeling to avoid an incoming laser.

Ears pricked, all Wolfos skipped away from Red-Suit and scurried about, beams crisscrossing as Zelda shot Light Arrows at the eyes, her magic dissipating the disintegrating monsters. She shot one more Light Arrow at Red-Suit as he picked himself up, keeping him grounded for now.

"Those come from The Beyond!" Luna warned, her hiding spot doing well.

"The what!?" Zelda yelled.

"I'll tell you later!"

Majora's hair gripped a few demonic arms, snapping them like sticks. "Ha-hahh!"

The giant, shadowy mouth crashed into the center of the area, impact throwing Zelda, Majora and Link down, all Wolfos backflipping. The giant teeth hungrily clacked together, Wolfos barking like crazy but having to bite and paw demonic arms slithering after them.

Zelda knelt up, releasing a flurry of Light Arrows, the shadowy mouth groaning from excess damage but still biting. Link jumped away from its massive maw, Majora sending her hair to grab a single tooth then rearing, ripping the tooth off. The shadowy mouth roared and, sizzling from Light magic, charged Majora. She leaned over, a fiery mass forming before her face; a stream of flames beamed into the monster's mouth. Burning from both fire and Light, the beast writhed against the ground, bellowing heavily.

Zelda rushed to the giant mouth and raised her arms. An aura of light swirled against the monster, vaporizing it into fluttering pixels.

Panting, all Wolfos looked around, wondering where the big monster went.

Mīkāʼēl picked himself up. "Unreliable vermin as always..." His attire knitted itself back together, wounds gluing themselves closed, his oozing blood seemingly sucked back into the healing injuries.

Wasting no time, Zelda shot Light Arrows at Red-Suit, though he rolled away, picking up his cane and sword and deflecting Zelda's next arrows.

Meanwhile, Majora scuttled to where Mīkāʼēl had thrown Link's war hammer, picking it up. She regrouped with Link and they approached Red-Suit, Wolfos growling and barking with what stamina they had left, wary of the seemingly unkillable threat. The beasts fended off the demonic arms writhing here and there, allowing Link and his friends to fight Red-Suit uninterrupted for now.

Red-Suit paused, expecting more arrows, cane and sword pulsating with the Light magic they absorbed.

Zelda lowered her bow and grimaced from irritation. "We need to do something else!"

"That you do," Mīkāʼēl acknowledged.

Majora jumped on Link's shoulders then leapt from him, her hair expanding into a glider as she swooped to the surprised brute. She whirled the war hammer upwards from below, hitting Mīkāʼēl and hurling him back, though he landed on his feet, stabbing his cane and sword into the ground for stability. Majora swung her legs, swooping once more—Red-Suit grabbed Majora's legs and threw her into the cliff side, her arms and legs and hair all outstretched upon the rocky surface.

"Ow..." Majora slowly peeled off the cliff, crumbling to the ground. Demonic arms slithered after her though were ripped apart by the Wolfos.

Link engaged his unrelenting foe, blocking the cane with his shield and thrusting his sword tho intercepted by Red-Suit's blade. Mīkāʼēl kneed Link in the stomach then slashed his chest, a few mail links breaking though he was unharmed.

Growling, Mīkāʼēl put his fists together and swung sword and cane together repeatedly. Link covered himself, his shield gradually cracking and chipping. Red-Suit raised his weapons, Link raising his shield—Mīkāʼēl instead tackled into Link, putting his arms around the hero while sheathing his cane sword behind Link. Hoisting Link over his shoulder, Mīkāʼēl gripped his cane at either end and pulled it downwards, crushing it against Link's back.

Link flinched as his back cracked, dropping sword and shield.

Mīkāʼēl spun around—Zelda stood before him, arrowhead pointing. She smiled sweetly...and then shot his face point-blank, Red-Suit flipping over with an arrow through his head.

Zelda frowned as Mīkāʼēl got back up, body zapping with Light power. She raised an eyebrow; he ripped the arrow out his head and threw it down. "You're gonna have to try harder than that, dumb blonde."

The queen raised her eyebrows. "Well, if you insist..."

She shot an arrow through his skull again. He fell to a knee; Zelda shot another Light Arrow through his head. He collapsed to his back, yellow aura swirling. She walked over him and, aiming down while he lifted his head, sent a third arrow through his face, pinning him to the ground. He sizzled from excess Light magic.

"You insisted," Zelda remarked. She turned. "Link!" She ran over and knelt by him.

Link weakly sat up. "I'm alright."

"No, you're not. Let me help you... Majora! Keep our friend busy!" Zelda's healing magic flowed...

Lady Majora popped to her feet, glaring as Mīkāʼēl got up, pulling the arrows out his head, bloody body regenerating. A fiery mass formed before Majora's face, casting flames at Red-Suit, his blood sizzling and suit blackening. He charged Majora as her fire magic faded. She reared, gripping the war hammer by her hair and whirling it with great momentum, smashing through Mīkāʼēl's parry and knocking him over.

Majora flipped through the air, slamming her hair-gripped war hammer right in Red-Suit's face, shattering his glasses, hammer head sinking in-between his eyes and splashing blood.

Majora's eye twitched as Red-Suit sat up, plucking the war hammer out his face, his pupil-absent eyes blankly staring into Majora's gigantic ones. Lady Majora shrugged, facial spikes going limp, almost as if to surrender.

Hissing, Mīkāʼēl threw the war hammer at Majora; she caught it with her hair and ran away. Growling, Red-suit retrieved his sword cane and chased her, Zelda watching them run around and around as her magic finished healing Link. She looked at Link.

Link looked back at Zelda. They watched Majora run. "Guess Majora's playing tag again."

Almost crying, Majora couldn't figure out where to go, sometimes crossing paths with a Wolfos, the beasts sometimes nipping Mīkāʼēl's legs, though he ignored them and focused entirely on Majora. He swung his blade and cane, always missing, Majora quite nimble on her feet.

"Great Deku Tree!" Luna's voice cried, "Now!"

The ground shook, a shadowy rift floating before the Great Deku Tree.

"This way!" Kibou instructed, guiding Majora towards the shadowy rift, the angry demon going after her.

"Where do I go!? Where do I go!?" Majora mumbled. She looked back, Mīkāʼēl foaming with blood and saliva at the mouth, Zelda and Link hot on his heels.

The queen shot a Light Arrow. Red-Suit skipped sideways; the magical projectile zoomed towards Majora, her eyes widening. She ducked, the Light Arrow going overhead and erupting against the wall, illuminating pillars covered with roots.

"Ah-hah! I can climb those!" Leaping high, Majora clawed the roots, crawling up like a spider. Her pursuer dodged Link's attacks and climbed after her, though Majora was clearly the better acrobat, easily reaching the next tier of pillars and walls. Wasting no time, she scurried to the next set of roots and climbed them, Mīkāʼēl doing likewise.

Link aimed his Hookshot and released; Mīkāʼēl turned and batted aside the incoming spike. Unable to see Red-Suit, Link holstered his Hookshot and climbed up as well, Zelda following suite.

A Skulltula realigned itself and turned blue; Majora cartwheeled upwards, the spider slipping beneath her body and attacking Red-Suit, slowing him down. He grabbed the arachnid and threw it away.

After Majora swung her hair-gripped war hammer at the other Skulltulas, she reached the heavily webbed top tier. She looked back, Mīkāʼēl snarling nearby. She scuttled along the path, big Skulltulas descending and spinning at her, though she effortlessly maneuvered betwixt them. Red-Suit just hacked and clubbed his way through the nuisances, though was temporarily slowed. He charged Majora, who spun around, moonwalking yet outrunning him anyways.

"What!? How is that even possible!?" Red-Suit yelled.

Majora unexpectedly ran past Mīkāʼēl but went along a point jutting out into the darkness, reaching the end of the abyss. She gasped, skidding to a halt, then spun around. Red-Suit stood nearby, trapping Majora by the drop-off. Hair still gripping her war hammer, she swung—Mīkāʼēl cut the strands, war hammer flying off somewhere.

Lady Majora let her facial spikes dangle, twiddling her thumbs while nervously chuckling.

Mīkāʼēl was unamused and just snorted. "Those were five hundred dollar sunglasses, asshole."

Majora innocently smiled, shrugging.

Growling, Red-Suit raised cane and sword—Majora did the splits and punched him in the groin.

Dropping his weapons, Mīkāʼēl clutched his crotch, sharply inhaling through his crocodilian teeth. "Second goddamn time today..."

Majora jumped on Mīkāʼēl, wrapping her legs around his neck and pulling herself backwards, flipping him over. She fell with him, hair extending and whipping around the jutting section overhead, whiplashing her upwards while Mīkāʼēl fell. She hung by her hair, watching her opponent disappear in the blackness. "Well, let's hope you get a free replacement."

Climbing her hair, Majora went atop the point, Link and Zelda running over. Majora smiled eagerly, facial spikes pointing upwards. Eyes fluttering, she spread her arms towards Link. "You're finally here to save mmeee! Do I get a hug?"

He turned around and ran.
