Coming out of the portal, everyone was surprised to find themselves NOT in the demon realm, but in an entirely new realm!
It was abstract, yet seemingly small, consisting of a nebulous space occupied by a black reflective pool on both surfaces of the dimension. In the pools themselves are structures of iridescent, abstract architecture stretching upward, forming a continuous canyon, while black cubes float from the bottom pool toward the pool raised above.
"What the fuck?!" Gus shouted in shock, his voice echoing through the mystery realm.
"Hey, language!" Camila said.
"I have to agree with Gus! What is this place?!" Willow asked, huddling close to Hunter.
"Is this the Boiling Isles?" Hunter asked in fear.
"No, it's not. I've been here before. This was where I was when I learned about Vee." Luz said, looking around before pointing to one of the floating cubes. "All you have to do is say a name and you see them in the cubes."
Amity suddenly got an idea.
"Hmm, maybe my old grudgby team." Amity said, looking to one of the cubes. "... Amelia!"
A black cube began floating in front of Amity and she looked at it. She nearly screamed when she saw what was on the other end. Gathering around her and looking into the cube, everyone could see the tall green haired witch was not herself. Instead, she looked to be made of wood and wearing a glittery version of her grudgby uniform.
"W-w-what happened to her?" Willow asked, knowing her from Plant classes.
"What about the others?" Hunter asked.
"Uh... Gilbert Park!" Willow said, worried about her dads.
A black cube rose and Willow nearly broke down seeing one of her dads as a puppet.
"P-Peter Porter!" Gus shouted in worry.
"Darius and Eberwolf!" Hunter shouted.
While they went to look for their relatives and family figures, Luz looked up upon hearing what sounded like muffled panting. She saw a golden figure rushing towards her, stopping to take a breath before rushing again and waving at Luz.
"Uh, guys, do you see that to?" Luz asked.
"See what?" Hunter asked Luz.
"That!" Luz said, pointing to the rushing golden figure.
The group looked up.
"Luz, are you feeling okay?" Amity asked, not seeing anything.
"No, I see it too." Camila said, adjusting her glasses.
The others didn't see it, but they figured that maybe it's because Luz and Camila are human, or rather Luz is at least part human still... they think. Before they could question anything, a bright flash happened and everyone was in the familiar world of the demon realm. Stumbling around, everyone saw they were now in a forest.
"What was that?" Amity asked.
"Don't know. Maybe some lag between dimensions? It could be why we ended up in that "place."" Hunter said.
"Maybe… come on, Belos had a head start, we need to move." Luz said, walking forward.
Everyone agreed with Luz as they began to walk through the forest, not noticing any changes aside from the color of the sky.
"So, this is the demon realm?" Camila asked.
"Yep." Luz said before she held out her hand and stopped them. "And that's what I am."
They saw the Titan's skull. Everyone gasped at the sight of it, Camila gasped because of the sheer size of it even from this distance!
'It's the size of a city!' She thought.
Amity, Gus, Hunter, and Willow gasped because of how damaged the skull had become while they were gone; the entire left half of the skull and horn were gone. Possibly used to construct the strange giant crown/castle hovering over it.
'The Collector.' They thought, assuming they were responsible for it.
"This place is… weird." Willow said, noticing all the changes to the environment. "And not the usual weird that I'm accustomed to."
"Yeah, looking at all these bright colors and rainbows are making my eyes hurt." Gus said.
"Just be glad they aren't painbows." Luz said, walking again. "Come on, let's get to the Owl House and see if anyone managed to hide there."
The group slid down the hill and Camila looked at Luz.
'Is she… going to be the size of this place?' She thought.
Half Titan or not, if Luz would grow to be THAT big, Camila might have trouble housing Luz depending on how much she grows and how fast.
Not to mention how much she'll eat! She already eats so much, forget crying, Camila's wallet was playing Russian Roulette with a AK-47!
'I need more practice with the plant glyph.' Camila thought, thinking she needs to grow large fruits and vegetables to at least try to fend of BANKRUPTCY!
"Mom, you coming?!" Luz called out to her.
"Yes! I'm on the way!" Camila said, rushing to catch up with them.
After more walking, they made it to the Owl House as Luz was seeing it for the first time in months. Just like her, it had changed a lot too as it was now deserted and barren. Several words of graffiti were painted around the house to disrespect Eda while "praising" the Emperor's coven.
"I'm going to have to scrub that off sometime later, and somehow fix the broken window." Luz said, focusing on the house itself.
"We'll help and think about that later. Let's get inside, maybe there's something we can use." Amity said, walking to the house.
Everyone followed Amity before Luz grabbed the handle and had a small smile, not filled with happiness but filled with sadness.
"Welcome to..." Luz said as she opened the door. "The Owl House."
The inside was as Luz remembered, empty as people most likely have looted the place after the Emperor's Coven ambush.
"Its…….a little hollow." Camila said, looking around. "I hate to think about what happened here."
"Yeah, us too." Gus said.
"You guys stay down here, I'll look upstairs for anyone or anything that might be left." Luz said, already walking to the stairs.
"I'll come with you." Amity said, not wanting to leave Luz alone.
"Thanks." Luz said.
"We'll check out the kitchen." Willow said for her and Gus.
"I'll check the backyard." Hunter said.
Luz slowly walked upstairs with Amity and Ghost following her. Everywhere Luz looked brought back memories of her time here. Good, bad, funny, sad...all of them were precious in their own way and almost brought tears to Luz's eyes.
"Last time I was here I was human… now I'm basically King's sibling." Luz muttered.
"Yeah. Life works……I don't know, life is pretty fucked up." Amity said, shrugging.
"Hehehehehe, yeah. It is." Luz said with a tiny grin.
Luz and Amity kept walking until Luz stepped on something, she picked it up and it was a photo of Eda, Luz, King, and Hooty, all wearing matching sweaters. Luz smiled a bit before looking down.
"Amity... what if... what if I'm the last Titan now?" Luz asked, still holding the picture.
"Don't say that. You don't know if he's gone. Plus, The Collector said King promised to play with them. They must've meant genuinely play, not just turn him into a toy." Amity said, putting a hand on Luz's back.
"Well, that doesn't mean anything, he clearly is playing with others, and you saw Amelia in the cube." Luz said, hanging the picture in a wall. "We don't know if anyone is even left... I'm supposed to be this world's god and I managed to fuck everything up."
"Belos fucked everything up. Not you. He just used you and used others for his terrible plan." Amity said as they reached Eda's room.
The only thing inside was Eda's nest. Not human junk, no horde of snails, no nothing; it was completely empty. It was just a nest right now, which was actually a good thing since it could allow Luz to lay for a while with just her palisman egg and her girlfriend. She pulled her egg out of her bag and laid in the nest.
"Hmm... maybe you'll be a Titan too little buddy." Luz said, smiling at the special egg.
"A Titan palisman, that would be something." Amity said, sitting on the edge of the nest.
Ghost jumped into her shoulder and looked at the egg, curious to what it will be as well.
"You know, I never asked, how did you get Ghost?" Luz asked, gazing at Amity.
"She's a family heirloom, past down from Blight generation to Blight generation." Amity said, tickling her palisman.
"So when we have a little Titan, she'll go to them?" Luz asked, with a smirk.
Amity blushed, not expecting it yet not hating it.
"I... That... it's." Amity stuttered, struggled to say anything before shaking her head. "Wait... didn't you say Titans come from eggs!?"
"Yeah." Luz said, simply nodding.
"Then you better be the mother of the relationship because I am NOT laying an egg!" Amity said, pointing to herself as her face turned bright red.
Luz chuckled at this as she nodded to Amity.
"Okay, I'll lay the egg." Luz said, rolling her eyes.
'Not even sure Amity would've laid the egg or not but still.' Luz thought, caressing her palisman egg.
The two sat in silence for a bit, Luz just looking at the egg as she was unsure of what she was going to do about it. Meanwhile, Downstairs, Camila was looking around the place as she went with Gus and Willow to the kitchen.
This place was where Luz spent all summer, her home away from home. She hoped it looked better before than what it did right now.
"This is the kitchen." Willow said with a smile.
"The food in here usually isn't so raw." Gus said, seeing Camila pick up a dead rat.
"This is food?" Camila asked, gesturing to the rat.
"Gus is just joking. Not every animal is food." Willow said, chuckling.
'Although, Luz would probably eat that.' Willow thought.
"Okay." Camila said, dropping the dead rat before grunting in pain.
"Camila? Are you okay?" Willow asked, seeing Camila wincing.
"I'm fine. I just got a few bruises from Belos myself." Camila said, holding her side as she sat down on a left crate. "I just... need to rest a bit."
Camila coughed some more as small specks of red flew from her mouth, Willow immediately did her best to help heal Camila a bit. She may not be a healer, but coughing up blood isn't good and isn't something she can just ignore.
"Uh, what was that healing glyph again?" Willow asked, pulling the pen and notes from Camila's pocket.
"It was….cuh cuh…..the light glyph and plant glyph connected with arches." Camila said between coughs.
"Okay!" Willow said, quickly drawing the glyph combo.
She then placed it on Camila's stomach, bring her great relief as a healing low washed over her body.
"Aaaah. Thank you, Willow." Camila said with a smile.
"After everything you've done for us, it's the least I could do." Willow said, smiling back.
Camila smiled at Willow before gazing outside, seeing Hunter with Willow's and Gus's palismen as he practiced his new magic.
"We should probably go stop him before he teleports off the cliff." Willow said.
"Come on, you can't think he would actually do that." Gus said.
"You never know. Someone has to look out for us besides Camila." Willow joked, walking to the back door.
Willow walked with a pep in her step to her... well, whatever they were right now, they would figure out their relationship more when Belos was six feet under... while breathing!
Gus followed after her as Camila coughed a bit more into her hand, a few more bits of blood coming out.
'The healing glyph should stop that soon enough.' Camila thought as she took a glance at her blood on her hand.
The small drops of red concerned her, as they looked different than before, like they were darker. Camila wiped her hand on her pants, there were more important things to worry about.
Like what was their next move? Where was the next place to check in town?
"GUYS!"
They were all surprised when they heard Hunter shouting from outside!
They all rushed from the house, Luz and Amity jumping from the balcony of Eda's room while Camila ran out the back door!
"What's wrong?" Luz asked.
"It's Eda and King!" Hunter said, pointing at a star flying by. "We need to go after them!"
"Then let's go!" Luz said, bending down and super jumping into the air!
"Luz, wait up!" Hunter said before teleport rushing after her.
"Come on, let's hurry!" Amity said as Ghost, Clover, and Emmiline turned into staffs. "Camila, you can ride with me."
"...Okay?" Camila said, unsure of what this will be like.
'I'm sure it's safe, Amity wouldn't mess with me, she's a good kid.' Camila thought, slowly getting on Amity's staff.
