We are still on episode one folks, but here we are with part two!
Reviews for Parts 1 and 2 will be answered in Episode 2.
Now, let's see what's going to happen.
Episode 1 - Start of the Season (Part 2):
"Last time on Total Drama LV," it was revealed that Chef was talking as he was cutting open coconuts. "We got introduced to our contestants."
Photos of the contestants appeared as Chef called then out, "We got Vernon, Luna, Chelsea, Capone, Quinn, Charlize, V, Lloyd, Vivian, Shion, Mork, Yves, Brett, Erin, Rival, Mikata, the girl who's name goes with maggot... guy with the swords... Ant-Ant... screw it. We got a whole new cast. Some old, a bunch of new faces. Now, they are in duo teams and have to sing a song together and then perform a group song. Also, we got to see their rooms as well."
Yawning a small bit, Chef held up a Mr. Coconut and grinned at it before slicing it open, "Now, we get to see their performances and see who get's kicked off the show first. Who will be our loser for the episode? Find out on TDLV! AND GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN!"
With that said and the knife thrown at him, the cameraman ran out of the kitchen in a panic. How Brett was able to handle filming Chef on his own he didn't know. Nor did he want to know.
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doing fine (A camera zooms in on Brett who is currently fixing another camera and he glances away for a second; at that moment Erin plugs something in and the camera explodes on them both).
You guys are on my mind. (Shion is seen reading over some music lyrics in a recording booth with Lloyd on the other side; Shion puts on the headphones as Lloyd plugs in a cord and he is instantly shocked, quickly Lloyd runs into the room to apologize to him).
You asked me what I wanted to be (Buck is seen fixing up a motorcycle and a spray of paint flies onto him as the camera pans out to see Quinn holding a can of spray paint; but Buck laughs it off).
And now I think the answer is plain to see, (V and Capone were seen tied back to back with wide smiles on their faces as Chef, angry and red in the face, slams a large pot before them).
I wanna be famous (Antoinette and Chelsea are seen on stage doing poses before Laverne shoved them aside and struts with a perfect smile on her face).
I wanna live close to the sun, (Mikata was seen meditating before being startled by Mork mixing his EDM music out loud nearby him).
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won. (Vernon is seen writing a song before Jacob pulls it from him to read the lyrics for approval, but Charlize snapped it out of his hands with a growl on her face).
Everything to prove nothing in my way, (Luna was seen at a computer, a smirk forming on her face as glowing green smoke formed around her).
I'll get there one day. (Vivian was seen practicing a gymnastic routine, but slipped on a towel that she left on the mat with an embarrassed look on her face).
Cause, I wanna be famous! (Shane was seen opening a box full of fireworks and quickly running off with them before a crew member caught him).
Na na na, na na na, (Yves was seen going behind a large screen as a light turned on, her shadow visible on the screen as she began dancing).
Na na na, na na na, na na na! (Quinton was seen looking at a computer, typing in some numbers before it short circuits on him and he switches to pen and paper).
Na na na, na na na,(Rival is seen running after crying Erin down a long hallway but he blinks, sees that she wasn't there and slumps down a wall his hands covering his face).
Na na na, na na na, na na na! (Quaoar was seen battling off some remote control fight robots with his swords and yawns as they were too easy for him until one comes out with chainsaw attached or its arms; grinning with anticipation for this fight).
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous (Mag and Chris were seen arguing with each other and she roughly shoved him away, bolting out of the area with an angry look on her face while leaving him worried/frustrated).
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous! (Black and white cutouts of different creatures and people scroll on the screen of who was to appear on the season).
(Whistling in tune, the contestants are seen hanging out around a lounge pool area. Chef and Chris appear soon enough, but everyone is startled/fleeing/anticipating a fight by the exploding sounds of fireworks before a camera zooms in on a table top with TDLV carved onto it).
Chris was seen in the footage room, looking at the monitors that had footage recording of each duo.
"Hey, hand me a pair of headphone," Chris called out, "I'm checking on the contestants through the monitors."
A cameraman nodded his head at Chris and handed him a pair. Putting them on, Chris plugged the end into one of the monitors.
Buck and Rival were already rehearsing their song, the two trying to a good way to harmonize their voices and what lines to see. It was obvious that Rival had the better voice of the two.
"I uh, don't think this is working," Buck said as he sat down on the ground.
"Come on dude, we can't give up yet," Rival spoke. "We have time to rehearse and make this work. Plus, we can improvise if we have too."
"It ain't easy, partner," Buck told him. "I'ma not strong in music like other things."
"You'll get stronger," Rival spoke as he lightly punched Buck's arm. "Just got to practice and try something different if the first way doesn't work out."
Chris could see Buck perk up at that, unplugging from monitor Chris plugged into another one.
"I-I don't think this will be a good song," Vivian spoke up, standing by the coffee. "And adding in some dance moves-"
"It's fine," Luna spoke, giving Vivian a hard stare. Vivian stepped away from Luna, nearly tumbling over the coffee table. Luna pinched the bridge of her nose. "Don't worry, we'll come up with an easy routine."
"Can it not be so sexualized, then?" Vivian asked Luna. Luna raised an eyebrow at her with a look that was saying "are you kidding me?" towards Vivian.
Chris nodded his head at this and turned towards another monitor.
"Boop!" Erin spoke as she tapped Quaoar on the nose as he was reading the lyrics to the song.
"Stop it," Quaoar spoke as he re-read the one line of lyrics again.
"Boop," Erin said with more excitement in her voice as she did it once more.
"Fucking stop it," Quaoar spoke with some hostility in his voice.
"Why?" She asked him.
"Because we need to concentrate on the song!" Quaoar spoke as he slammed a fist on the desk.
"I have it memorized already!" Erin happily said, before closing the laptop and singing the entire song before him. He simply slammed his head on the desk at that point. She quickly sat back down on the chair, where it broke on her but instead of shattering every direction, the pieces splintered into her.
Shrugging, Chris switched to another one.
"Ow, ow, ow," Antoinette spoke as she held her foot. "Oh my god, ow!"
"Sorry!" Shane spoke as he was seen holding a box. Chris could hear something move inside of it and it sounded heavy. He grinned thinking Shane broke her foot.
"You set that down on my foot!" Antoinette snapped at him. "Why did you think it was a good idea to put it there when my foot was there?"
"I didn't see your foot!" Shane spoke back to her.
"Oh my god! Peek around the box next time!" Antoinette shouted at him.
Chris laughed at this, enjoying the moment that Antoinette was now in pain. She had been a pain in her own way, guess this was a bit of payback. Unplugging from the monitor, he plugged the headphones in to another one.
"We need to pick a song," Quinton spoke as he stared at Chelsea.
"None of your tastes are even good!" Chelsea complained. "We need a song that's popular, that everyone will be impressed with."
"Older songs are just as popular today just as they were when they came out," Quinton spoke, pulling up the song list and clicking a filter that's title "popular". Songs from years ago, were among the top with current popular songs.
"Oh, whatever!" Chelsea spoke, making a strange sound in front of Quinton. She gasped a small bit as he raised an eyebrow at her.
"Have you been to a doctor about that? Because they can help," Quinton spoke to her. Standing up, she slapped him across the face before stomping out of the room. Letting out a deep sigh, he scrolled through the list and submitted a song to sing.
Chris laughed at that before moving on to the next monitor.
"Don't call my-" V sang out, before staring at Mikata who was looking rather nervous. "You okay?"
"W-who will be watching us?" Mikata asked her.
"The others, judges, Chris..." V spoke, thinking for a second. "And probably the whole world through the cameras."
Mikata gulped at this news, his eyes growing a bit wide that there was going to be a lot of people watching.
"Boring," Chris spoke as he pulled away from the monitor and looked over at a cameraman. "Question, how long do these room camera's stay on?"
"Except for when they are changing and sleeping, they're mainly on before they are woken to when they go to bed," one of the cameraman people spoke. "They still get some privacy."
Chris decided to ignore the cameraman as he continued on talking, as he plugged the headphones into another monitor.
"Should we involve some dancing?" Brett asked Capone.
Capone was seen lying on the bed, tossing a baseball into the air with one hand while reading the lyrics sheet held in his other hand. "Nah, let's just focus on our vocals."
Brett was about to say something before Capone spoke up again, "Also, we don't know how many people will be going home this episode. It could be one or two, if they decide to eliminate us for doing a poor duo."
Brett nodded his head at that and stared down at his watch. His heartrate and blood pressure were still in the normal range.
"Ready to sing again?" Capone asked him, throwing the baseball onto the other bed near Brett.
"Yeah, let's do it," Brett spoke, grabbing the baseball and doing a bit of a curve ball. The ball accidentally smashed through the window, making them both stare at the now broken window.
"Should we run?" Brett asked.
"Yup," Capone said and they both left the room quickly.
Chris laughed at this, knowing that Sephiria was already going to be getting an expensive bill for all of this, as he unplugged the headphones and plugged in to a different monitor.
"You're off key!" Jacob spoke as he gripped the sides of his head.
"I thought I was done fine," Shion spoke.
"Singing solo it's not noticeable, but when we do it together, people can hear it," Jacob snapped at him. "So, let's try it again from the beginning. And stay on key."
Shion simply rolled his eyes at this, knowing it was going to be a long session with him.
"I saw that eyeroll," Jacob snapped.
"It's a matter of expression," Shion spoke to him. "Plus, you aren't making this the easiest. You're stopping us every two verses in the song, I think it would be better if we sing the whole song through, then do the commentary to see where we can improve."
"Excuse me? If we stop and catch the off key notes before go any further in the song, then we know which part to improve on!" Jacob snapped at him. "It's call practice for a reason. So, let's try this again from the top."
Shion glared at Jacob as starting right now, he was showing that he's going to be a pain in the neck.
Chris moved to the next monitor.
"I think we're doing pretty good," Quinn spoke as she sat down on the floor of the room, while Mork sat across from her.
"Think it's good for the performance?" He asked.
"Well, maybe we can go through it one more time before bed tonight," Quinn spoke.
"Yeah, one more time will be better," Mork spoke, nodding his head in agreement.
"Seriously? No drama, lame," Chris commented.
"Don't you ever do things right?" Charlize asked Mag, in a snapping tone.
"And don't you ever stop being condescending and a hypocrite?" Mag snapped back at her.
"Excuse?" Charlize asked.
"You expect everything to go one way or no way," Mag asked. "Well, hate to be the breaker of bad news, but there's more than one way. Everything doesn't need to revolve around just one criteria! Things change!"
"If things stay to a schedule and on point, then things will go perfectly and come out successful in the end," Charlize spoke as she sat down on the bed. "Thus, we need to stick to a practice schedule."
"Event those change," Mag spoke, sitting down on the other bed, crossing her arms with a smirk on her face. "Nothing is set in stone."
"Well, it's confirmed," Chris spoke as he unplugged from the monitor. "We got two perfectionists."
"Is that a bad thing?" A cameraman asked.
"Nah, just means there's going to be a lot of drama," Chris laughed as he moved to the next monitor, where heard two voices singing in perfect unison.
"...You found the beat of my heart - my heartbeat." The two sang, before pausing.
"I think that's good," Laverne sang as she sat down on a chair, shoving her hair behind her shoulder.
"Will everyone appreciate it?" Lloyd asked, nervously.
"Why wouldn't they? We sound good. And we have good unison," Laverne said. "Why?"
"J-Just concerned," Lloyd said.
Chris tuned away from the two of them, plugging in to the last monitor.
"Stop!" Yves shouted, making Vernon stumble a small bit.
"W-What?" Vernon asked.
"This isn't working," Yves spoke. "We'll have to cut out the dancing and just stick with our song."
"We just need more practice," Vernon said. "You were on Act 2, and you had less time on training them."
"Yeah, but they didn't have to sing during the performance!" Yves snapped at him, before taking in a deep breath and letting it go. "Besides, we need to focus more on the song than anything."
Chris continued to observe them even as the sun started to go down outside the building he was in. He watched them be delivered menus to pick foods as they dispersed from their duet partner. Most people decided to go to other rooms; most being dragged to Quaoar's room by Erin. Specifically - Rival, Mag, Buck, Quinn, Mikata, Shion (who managed to slip away from Jacob), Quinton, Laverne and Lloyd, Yves and Vernon, V, Mork, Capone and Brett.
"Well, that's a packed room," Chris commented as the scene cut over to the room that Erin had pulled everyone into.
"Woohoo!" Erin shouted as she jumped onto a bed, her back hitting it and she kind of bounced off of it.
"Erin, someone sleeps in that bed," Rival said. "So, don't break it."
"Aww," Erin spoke as she sat up and fell forwards, her face slamming into her pepperoni pizza. Rival just rolled his eyes, while shaking his head.
Yves had taken a bunch of napkins and fanned herself a small bit, even though the ac unit was on in the building she still felt a bit warm.
"Why Vegas?" Yves muttered.
"It's the entertainment capital of the world, so why not Vegas?" Laverne spoke to her. "Just be glad that this place isn't a place that Chris usually sets his people up in."
"Plus, this can be fun!" Erin happily spoke up as she raised her head from her pizza, some pepperoni slices sticking to her face. "They didn't give us a curfew or say we couldn't leave the lot, so... let's do a jailbreak!"
"I'd be game for that," Capone said. "We can also pull something on Chris along the way."
"Long as no one gets drunk," Yves said. "We're all underage here."
"Uhh... I'm twenty-two," Brett spoke up. "So... I can legally drink."
"I'm not fond of alcohol," Quinton spoke up. "My dad decided to give me a drink on my twenty-first, I wasn't impressed and didn't like it."
"I've drank alcohol before, it's not that bad." Laverne said, "You just need to find something that suits your taste."
"But you're not twenty-one," Lloyd pointed out.
"Who else here is twenty-one or older?" Mag asked them.
Only Brett and Quinton were the ones to raise their hands for that question and no one else.
"I'm bored," Erin complained. "Can we play a game?"
"We can do something with this can of soda," V spoke up.
"Oooh! Yes!" Erin said.
"Talk about childish," Charlize spoke as she leaned up against the main doorframe, since they left the door cracked open. "It's not going to be worth playing as we don't know how long of a break we have to eat before we need to start practicing again."
"Oh come on," Capone spoke up. "What's the harm in playing a quick game?"
"The fact that one of us is going to be el-" Charlize started up; but before she could finish her sentence Mag had shoved her back and Rival slammed the door in her face. They didn't have to communicate to each other that this needed to be done.
"C-Can we s-start with e-easy questions?" Mikata asked a bit scared due to what just happened.
"Yeah, let's play," Vernon said as Rival sat next to Erin and pulled her close; Mag just leaned against the wall in case someone came knocking.
"So, who's spinning the bottle first?" Quinn asked.
"We can guess a number." Mork suggested to everyone.
"Seven," Buck spoke up. "It's a good number."
"Nothing wrong with that," Shion said. "I'll go with eleven."
"We haven't picked the number range," Lloyd said.
The two boys looked at each other a bit embarrassed now.
Charlize blinked for a second as to what just happened to her.
No one had shoved her back or slammed the door in her face before. Not even her own sister did this.
Growling a small bit, she stalked off from the area, her hands clutched tightly into fists. Reaching the elevator, she pressed the button for it to come to the floor so she could get back to her room and practice some more. Seeing the doors open, she saw Jacob standing there with an uninterested face.
"Are you going to stand in front of the doors all day or step aside?" Jacob asked her.
"Why don't you step aside so I can get in to the elevator," Charlize retaliated.
"Isn't it proper etiquette not to stand in front of the elevator doors?" Jacob questioned her.
"GET OUT OF THE ELEVATOR ALREADY!" Charlize shouted at Jacob. He raised an eyebrow at her and stepped out of her path so she could get in and he could get off.
Looking back at the elevator, he shook his head towards Charlize in a disapproving way moments after the door closed.
"Well, if she's going to be like that, I'd say she's going to be gone soon," Jacob spoke to himself as he walked down towards the room that he figured everyone was in to see if Shion was there.
"Oh sweet," Shane spoke as he picked up a fog machine that was roughly the size of a ten by eight inch box. "This can definitely work."
He set it down in a large, empty box that he found and continued to rummage through a few more boxes, some labeled "DANGEROUS". Digging deeper down, he pulled out a colored lens and smiled at it.
"Heck yeah," Shane spoke up. "This will make a cool effect with the smoke."
"And what are you doing in this room?" Luna spoke, startling Shane enough to where he jumped around but only to fall backwards into the box.
"Jesus! Don't you know that you really shouldn't give someone a heart attack?" Shane questioned her.
"Not my problem if I scare them," Luna spoke as she walked around him, peeking down into the box. "So, you're pulling stuff out of the supply room for your performance?"
"Oh heck yeah!" Shane said, "I found these colored lenses and a fog machine! This will add some cool effects."
Luna walked over to another box and pulled out a few rolls of invisible thread, grinning she plopped them into an small empty box.
"What are you going to be doing with those?" Shane asked her.
"Stocking up for when a performance calls for them," Luna said. "Plus, they can be fun to use when we're not doing much and you want to trick someone. This stuff is really sturdy."
Shane grinned at her words and ran over to the box, pulling out a roll of the thread himself. He the thread around a table leg and wrapped the spool a couple of times around the leg of another table, a few inches above the ground. Stepping onto it, he wobbled a small bit but the thread didn't break under his weight.
"I can definitely use this stuff!" Shane shouted happily.
"Have fun with it," Luna spoke up as she shuffled through another box. She found small, round balls labeled "smoke" on them and put a bunch into the box that she was already building. Going further through the box, she found the small balls but "knockout gas" was written on them. Grinning, she put those into her box as well.
"I think I'm good here," Shane spoke and Luna toward around to get a good look at him. Raising an eyebrow, he was carrying a large box that was full of different stuff - firecrackers, fireworks, sparklers, smoke projectors, miniature lasers, glitter bombs, and other things. He even had stuff shoved into his pockets.
To the right of one table, there was a large cabinet and the door was barely cracked open a bit. Inside it, it was supposed to be empty but Quaoar stood perfectly still inside of it as he watched the two. He was least concern with Shane, but more concerned with Luna.
He didn't like the feeling that she was giving off, but he didn't care that much for it. Watchin them for a few moments longer, the two eventually left the room not even bothering to turn off the lights as they were motioned sensor lights. Stepping out from the closet, he drew out his swords and stared down at them then looked towards the door.
From the things that she had gathered, he could see that Luna might be someone for him to fight with.
Vivian was seen walking around outside the mini-hotel, looking at the song lyrics that she had printed out onto paper. She kept reading over and singing them, trying to get rid of this uncomfortable feeling that was building up in her.
"Oh my god," Antoinette spoke. "You're singing that? I think that's a bit too mature for you sweetie."
Vivian looked up and saw Antoinette leaning up against the wall of the building, a smug look on her face.
"I-I'll be fine singing it!" Vivian quickly squeaked out in a high voice.
Antoinette just laughed and took the lyrics sheet from her. Reading over them, she sang out the first few lines in a strong voice before turning around to face Vivian.
"Well, you won't be able to perform this like me," Antoinette said, using the papers to fan herself. "Your half as skilled and half as pretty as me. Plus your softer than a powder puff to a blush compact. The industry is going to eat you alive."
Vivian gulped at this as Antoinette threw the papers over her shoulder as she walked away, thus the fell to the ground. Rushing to pick them up, she tripped over someone's foot.
"Would you watch it already, klutz?" Chelsea spoke.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't see-" Vivian started up.
"I didn't see. I didn't see! God, it's the same excused with everyone?" Chelsea spoke up. "For someone who is lower than me in the industry, you should be the person that everyone doesn't see! I've worked two times harder than you to achieve my accomplishments and get my connections, unlike you with your little silver platter. No wonder you're such a mess."
The two could hear Antoinette laughing as she didn't walk very far from where Vivian was at.
"Oh my god! She is a mess!" Antoinette spoke in agreement. "She's horribly uncomfortable with her duo song."
Chelsea stifled a noise that might have been a laugh or something else, while covering her mouth her one of her hands.
"Attention everyone!" Chris spoke as he pulled up on a vehicle that was allowed to be driven on the grounds with a small trailer that had loud speakers on it. "Get back to rehearsing already! That is all."
Antoinette and Chelsea quickly left the area leaving Vivian there alone and feeling horrible about herself. Quickly gathering up the papers, she rushed inside to find Luna and resume practice.
Practices went on throughout the rest of the day and into the night, everyone ordered room service once more before heading to bed. The camera's began turning off one by one as the contestants changed into their sleep clothes and began going to sleep.
It was early when Chris was awake and in the monitor room once more, a tall cup of hot, coffee in his hands.
"Time to get this day started?" Chris asked as Chef stood next to him.
"Yeah, let's get it started," Chef said.
"So," Chris's voice spoke through the speakers of their computers. "Is no one going to work on the group song? If so, get to the ground floor of your hotel and start practicing. Or you can fail and be the first one eliminated if you don't practice!"
There was silent for a few seconds before there was the sound of an airhorn going off that caused everyone to get out of their beds and get dress for the day, before quickly heading down to the main floor of the mini hotel. Some of the contestants were grumbling that Chris got them up before the sun was even up.
They really didn't pay much attention to the ground floor the other day as they had been rushed to pick and rehearse their songs, plus they had room service so... they didn't really feel the need to go to the ground floor. The floor was done in a Jacobean stained oak floor, white stucco walls set with turquoise curtains that had thick strip of gold running horizontally a few inches up from the curtain bottom; clear globe lights hang from the ceiling - two per each table while three were above the coffee table and food bars. The tables were stained in a dark chestnut colored wood along with the chairs that were set with turquoise cushion seats, the tables were deck with small pots of succulents. There was enough seating at the tables for twenty-five people, but if including the couches decked then it was thirty-four seats. There were three breakfast bars that were done in the same staining as the floors. Around the room, there were eight potted plants set about. The walls were set with paintings that were done in turquoises, blues, green, white and a pale rose color; all of them set in a black frame.
But everyone could smell the food that was being set out for them by the staff.
"It's too early for this," Chelsea complained.
"I'm with you on that idea," Antoinette complained. "Even with Act II had better wake up times than this! Along with Act III."
"Will you girls shut up?" Charlize spoke, walking right past them. "In any line of work, sometimes or all of the time you will be expected to get up early."
"Alright, let's get to work," Jacob spoke as he clapped his hands together. "We got the role of Jekyll already figured out, now we just need to figure out everyone else's. Once that's done, we can officially begin rehearsing."
"But we've hadn't had breakfast yet!" Erin complained, still not wide awake.
"We can talk over breakfast," Jacob spoke, earning a happy cry from Erin that made those who were still tired flinch as she bolted for one of the three food bars. But she tripped on her own feet, her head hitting the corner to one of the tables.
Rival dashed over to her, helping her onto her feet and she bent backwards in his arm. Everyone could see the gash that was on her forehead with a small trickle of blood coming from it.
"Can we get a first aid kit here?" Rival asked.
"I'm good!" Erin said, as she sprung forward and ignored the head wound, skipping off for the breakfast bar.
"Wait! Your head is bleeding!" Rival shouted following Erin.
"Dude you okay? You look pale," Shion spoke to Vernon who was gripping a table edge.
"Her head- the blood... and she's still b-bleeding," Vernon spoke, and Shion gave him a pat on the shoulder.
"A head wound like that is nothing," V spoke as she approached the two boys. "Try a bloody nose, large cuts, bloody lips-"
"Please. Stop." Vernon spoke as he stepped away from V.
"Get eating already," Jacob snapped at them. "We're already wasting practice time."
"Well, if you don't want to waste anymore time, then why aren't you eating?" Quinton pointed out, as he peeled away at a banana before handing it off to Vivian.
There were a couple of "oh's" and "burned" while there were a few snickers at Jacob. Before Jacob could even say anything to Quinton, Quinton had already grabbed an empty bowl nearby and walked off to one of the other food bars.
Everyone lingered around eating breakfast, mostly to annoy Jacob as they didn't feel like he was in charge of them. By the time that everyone was done eating, the sun was already starting to show.
"Alright, everyone done?" Jacob asked. "If so, let's start."
Charlize was quick to drop a stack of papers onto the table in front of him.
"Then you can start by passing out these packets. It has the rolls and lyrics on them," Charlize spoke. "We can all do a major discussion on who gets what and write it down on the papers, then we can begin practicing."
"Oh god, homework," Capone muttered. Charlize snapped a glare at him but he just blew his tongue out at her, which earned a few laughs.
"Let's just start so they can be pleased," Yves spoke as she stood up, walked over to Jacob and took one of the packets that Charlize had slammed in front of him. Eventually, they were all given out to the contestants and the work began.
The arguments had already begun on what roles everyone was meant to play.
"Why don't I play for the Bessie?" Laverne spoke up, quieting Antoinette who was trying to get the same role. "I mean, the lines that Jekyll brings up talks about her jewels, and I'm already wearing high end jewelry. So, it only makes sense."
"Then that's settled," Jacob spoke. "Other than Antoinette rejecting this, anyone else?"
Chelsea raised her hand at this, while everyone else didn't say anything against this.
"Overruled, moving on," Jacob spoke.
"So up to Glossop," Luna spoke up, "we have Shane, Antoinette, Buck, Rival, Jacob and Shion singing solo lines. From Glossop up to Bessie being killed off we have Capone, Brett, Vernon, Antoinette again, Mork, Quinton, Lloyd, and Buck once more."
"And after Bessie," Shane spoke. "Who's next?"
"You and Vivian," Mork spoke up.
"And everyone doing the whole group bits," Quinn pointed out.
"Then the role of Teddy," Vivian spoke. "Mikata should do it."
"M-me?" Mikata stuttered, looking at everyone.
"I don't see why he shouldn't," Brett spoke up. "I say he's suited for the role."
"I'd say write'm in," Buck spoke as he wrote Mikata's name down on his paper.
"Fine, Mikata is Teddy," Jacob confirmed. Mikata gulped at this.
They continued further into the discussions of who was singing what after the death of Teddy to the final group verse that everyone needed to sing. Except for those who said it would be better for them to stand off stage as they were basically dead for the song. Out of everyone, only Laverne and Mikata wouldn't have a chance to sing a solo line of the song but they both didn't really seem to mind as they still got to sing in the group verses till their character deaths.
"Now, it's time for the real practice," Jacob stated.
"Why not a break so we can practice our duet song?" Chelsea asked.
"After we do the group song," Quinton said. "The group song is a major factor."
"So is the duet! You picked our song without my opinion on it!" Chelsea snapped at him.
"Oh just shut up already," Mag stated. "We practice the group song once, then we do the duet song until lunch. After lunch, we're back to the group song. Is that good for everyone?"
"Yay, lunch!" Erin said in a happy voice, making everyone stare at her. "What it will be a good time to take a break from rehearsing so much."
"That's not wrong," Lloyd spoke. "Nor a bad idea."
"Let's... start," Quaoar spoke in a low voice.
The group song practice began moments after, frequently pausing due to mistakes, forgetting lines or parts, or small interruptions. The writing part was even worse as some had difficultly as they tried to come up with the lyrics.
By the time that they were done with first round of practicing it, it was roughly an hour and a half before lunch. Those who decided not to go up to their rooms to practice left the mini-hotel or stayed in the ground floor area and began practicing their duets.
Lunch time soon rolled around and everyone picked their own food to eat before sitting down at the tables or the couches, before they began the group song practice once more. No one had heard anything from Chris, Chef or the judges at all during the times that they were practicing. Which was a bit weird, but everyone shrugged it off as they figured that the judges needed to prep for the singing tonight and Chris probably was in a meeting with Sephiria or something.
And Chef was Chef, no need to question about him.
When the last plate was taken off of the table, everyone was back into rehearsing. They could all feel the pressure slowly coming onto them as who would be the first one to go home from the show and what they judges will have to say about them. Mostly they were concerned with how well they'll be able to perform on the stage.
"Attention everyone!" Chris's voice boomed over loud speakers, "It is now sunset! Make your way to the outdoor performance stage to begin performing. No more time to practice now!"
They all heard him laugh before silence fell over them. Walking out of the mini-hotel, they left for the performance stage where they saw Csilla, Aster, Danica sitting at the judges table. Chris and Chef were standing on either end while Steren was up on the stage, microphone in hand.
"Welcome to your first show on TDLV everyone," Steren spoke through the microphone as everyone took their seats. "Chris forgot to say this in part one but here at the set of of T.D.L.V, whatever status you have, like followers and popularity or whatever it is you have outside of these walls that built up your reputation, means nothing here at all."
There were a couple of gasps from the contestants while others had wide eyes as they stared at Steren.
"This is a fresh start, so you are all starting with nothing. Zilch. Nada. Big fat zero," Steren spoke. "I know, hard truth, accept it. Tonight, you guys get to build a new reputation for the show. But there is also the fact that one of you, will not have that chance."
Everyone glanced at each other, some leaning back into their seats with concern looks on their faces. Shion was the first to stand up and complain.
"Hold on, that wasn't in the contract," he spoke out. He didn't believe this was true at all.
Chris was quick to throw him a copy of the contract.
"Page 4, a bit away from spiral thing that keeps the papers of the contract together," Chris told him. Flipping it open, he saw the words right next to the spiral binding of the contract in small lettering and in a strange color but somewhat visible - All outside reputation and influence is null and void, meaning it doesn't exist on TDLV. TDLV will start reach contestant with a clean, blank slate for the competition.
"So, as you can see everyone has to start with a clean slate," Chris laughed as Shion's face dropped a small bit at what he read. "Got to love how Sephiria can hide things.
Shion's Confessional Scene:
He is seen flipping through the contract trying to find other things that was possibly missed. "What else did my manager miss when we went through this?"
Looking at page four and staring at the spiral, he could see the words. It was just a few shades off from white colored paper; moving it to a different lighting he saw the words vanish. Quickly, he went through the rest of the contract for the same effect.
"Continuing on, with the rest of the challenge info. Unlike the group song, the only catch is that we will be observing you throughout the due song to see how well you do. But both duo and group song determine who gets sent home," Steren spoke out. "You will be given a hand microphone that comes with the stand, so if you want your hands free for the performance you can just put the mic in its stand. Also, no one is allowed to have smoke effects, fireworks, bright or flashing lights for the performance. This first performance, us judges want to see you so that way we can see your lips moving. If any of those things are in your act, they are now removed."
Shane had an uneasy look on his face as he looked over to see that Antoinette was currently glaring at him.
"Good thing we are not using any of those," Erin happily spoke to Quaoar and he just nodded his head.
"Also once you finish your song, you can only leave after we give you your feedback. That being said," Steren spoke. "This first singing challenge is to get a chance to hear your vocals, see if you can attempt unity; so don't worry about standing on the stage and not dancing."
"So, this is just to test our vocals?" Vivian quickly asked. "So, we don't have to dance?"
"You got it girl, dancing is not a requirement," Steren spoke. "Okay, let's get group one up here! Also, if you want to applaud wait until the song is over."
Erin happily jumped up from her seat and grabbed Quaoar by his arm before he could get up himself as he quickly found himself almost being dragged by Erin. She was talking out loud that this was going to be fun. He was simply giving her a blank stare.
Erin and Quaoar Performing - Runnin' by Adam Lambert (video with lyrics: /4UFDgLsSyzA )
Everyone could hear the music starting up and saw an intern wheel up a small table with rock glasses (the glasses where you put ice and alcohol together) and a bottle of liquor. As Quaoar started to sing, Erin had the glasses filled up and quickly down them to the lyrics of the song. Every time that the word "down" was said, Erin swallowed the liquor. The two alternated lines and tried a few times singing lines together. Throughout the song, the judges were watching them and writing things down in their notebooks.
Once they were done singing, the four judges and the contestants applauded them. Erin did a bow but ended up bowing too far and falling onto the floor while Quaoar hung back a small bit. The four judges looked over at each other, talking quietly for a few seconds then they looked back at Quaoar and Erin.
"I don't find it surprising that Erin had the most enthusiasm during the song," Danica spoke with Steren nodding in agreement. "But this first challenge of the show is to test you out."
"But Erin is also a bit better at singing," Csilla commented.
"I try my best!" Erin happily called out as she jumped back up onto her feet.
"Quaoar, you need to put more emotion in there," Aster spoke. "Even if it's a song or scene that you don't like, the emotion needs to be there. The emotion makes things convincing."
"Right," Quaoar spoke. "I'll try to apply it next time."
"And who let Erin have alcohol?" Csilla called out.
"The contract for the doesn't say we can't have alcohol in use during a performance," Erin happily called out, clapping her hands. The judges glanced at each other and Steren pulled out the contract, reading every inch of it along with any hidden details before nodding her head in agreement.
"Well, since it's legal... not much we can do," Aster spoke. " Plus, she's not drunk, so... not much we can do. Now, onto the next performance! Also, leave the bottle here on the table."
"I know Quaoar likes to use bad language!" Erin happily called out, the alcohol now starting to affect her as her cheeks turned a bright shade of pink.
"YOU CURSED IN FRONT OF MY GIRLFRIEND?" Rival shouted from the crowd.
"NEXT GROUP PLEASE!" Aster called out.
Capone and Brett nodded at each other, then headed down to the stage as Erin and Quaoar walked off. Somehow, Erin managed to trip herself and send herself back up the steps that she had just walked on.
"Wow! I need to stop falling upstairs somehow," Erin laughed.
Capone and Brett Performing - My Demons by StarSet ( watch?v=LSvOTw8UH6s)
The two sang the beginning in unison with low voices, to match how the song started up. Then their voices grew in strength to match that of how the song was originally sung. The kept up with the song at a good pace. It was obvious from their faces that they were enjoying the song.
The judges kept writing down their notes, barely looking down at the journals that they were writing in. The music to their song died down and the two high fived each other, knowing that they managed to do a decent job.
"At least there wasn't any drinking," Csilla commented, glancing over at Aster.
Aster rolled her eyes at Csilla's commented, before popping the cork off the bottle and taking a drink from it.
"I liked it," Steren spoke as she casually leaned back in her chair. "There was some good unison and alternation of the lyrics."
"Thanks," Brett said.
"We rocked this," Capone commented.
"Even though you both lacked in vocal skills, both did your best at the song," Aster spoke up as brought the bottle close to her lips.
"You both enjoyed singing the song together, which is a good factor here," Csilla commented.
"Aster please don't drink," Danica spoke as Aster swallowed a couple of gulps. "Both of you, thank you so much for the performance. You can go and join your friends back in your seats. Group Three your up!"
Brett and Capone high-fived each other as Yves and Vernon came up to the stage.
Vernon and Yves Performing - Rise Up by Beyoncé ( watch?v=xdgqQ8cT9Ak )
The two took to the stage, getting back to back with each other; the microphones in their hands. The music started up and Yves was the first to sing, her voice was strong and it sounded really good. When Vernon began singing, he had his eyes shut and he stuttered on some of the words as he sang.
The two followed the pattern of Yves then Vernon singing the lines throughout the song, but at certain points they sang the lyrics together. When the two sang together, it hardly noticeable to hear Vernon's stuttering. At one point in the song, Vernon blanked for a second and Yves quickly filled in for him.
The song ended and everyone gave out a light applause.
Csilla waited for the clapping to end before she spoke, "From the song, it can easily be heard who has the most strength in singing. And that goes to Yves here. Vernon, your voice was shaky throughout the whole performance."
"But when you two sang together, it was less noticeable," Danica commented. "But at the end of the song, you blanked but Yves quickly covered for you."
"I-I'm sorry," Vernon stuttered, glancing away and slowly getting upset with himself.
"You won't be saved all the time," Csilla spoke up, earning a nod from the other judges.
"She's right," Yves spoke up in agreement with Csilla. "We might be doing solo's next time."
"If solo's do happen, you need to step it up, find that strength and use it," Aster commented. "Yves has it here and she has chances to go far when we do solos."
"Let's get the next group up here please," Steren announced. The two returned the mic's back to the stands as they left the stage, while Luna and Vivian came up the steps. Vivian and Luna talking to each other as they walked up, where Luna did an eyeroll and mumbled something that brought a smile to Vivian's face.
Luna and Vivian Performing - Bring on the Men from Jekyll and Hyde the Musical ( watch?v=TeWItubZao4)
Getting up onto the stage, the judges flipped the page in their journals to get to the information on Luna's and Vivian's performance. Luna had a smirk on her face while Vivian looked a bit uncomfortable as they stood on the stage as the music started up.
Luna's confidence shown throughout the song as she sang, but everyone could see that Vivian was nervous. But throughout the song, Luna's smile was growing wider as she occasionally glanced at Vivian now and then, but she still maintained a good amount of eye contact with the judges. Vivian, did not; she couldn't stare at them at all.
Vivian was too far uncomfortable, everyone could see it.
The two concluded their song, with Vivian letting out a deep breath of relief as now it was over while Luna did a deep bow. There was some applause and the judges looked at them.
"I have to say," Danica started up, "I would have liked to see some dance moves with the song. This is one of those cabaret songs. Where is the excitement in it?"
"Vivian, you looked really uncomfortable with this," Csilla spoke. "You couldn't look at us in the eyes as we watched the two of you. Luna here, she looked relaxed girl. You can't be uncomfortable on stage, Vivian, cause that can hurt you."
"I-I," Vivian started up but shut her mouth when Steren raised her hand. Luna smirked at this.
"Your voices were great girls, trust me they were," Steren spoke. "But Danica remember, them not dancing is not their fault. I already stated that you don't have to dance to the song they picked to sing. All we care about is their singing voice."
Danica nodded her head as Aster piped up, "Luna here was the only one out of you two that had enthusiasm."
"Better to be excited than uncomfortable," Luna spoke in agreement.
Csilla soon spoke up, "Girls thank you for singing, you can take your seats now."
"You're welcome," Luna spoke as she and Vivian left the stage.
"Group five please come on up to the stage," Csilla called out. Shane and Antoinette got up from their seats and headed for the stage; along the way, Antoinette accidently tripped Vivian without flinching, almost appearing as though Vivian had tripped on her foot. Vivian's head had hit the water and she gasped as her head shot up from the water.
Shane and Antoinette Performing - Primadonna by Marina and the Diamonds ( watch?v=R7aDT0g6Xn0)
Taking the stage, Antoinette gave Shane a glare and he gulped as the music started up. Everyone could see that Antoinette was angry at Shane, no one really knowing why at all. When Shane sang his lines, they could all hear a touch of feminine voice as he sang. Throughout the song, Antoinette held onto her anger while Shane tried his best to ignore it but showed annoyance now.
At one point in the song, Shane had shoved Antoinette to the side but she retaliated by grabbing him by the shirt collar and roughly shoving him aside. At that point, the two competed at tried to outdo each other until the end of the song came and they had to sing the last lines of the song together.
The two ended the song with Antoinette doing a deep bow. The judges clapped a small bit, with some questionable looks on their faces; they didn't even bother to take a few seconds to discuss amongst themselves.
"So, explain why, the tension." Danica spoke.
"He," Antoinette spoke and pointed at Shane, "Wanted to use a bunch of effects and stuff for the performance."
"How was I supposed to know that we couldn't?" Shane asked throwing his hands into the air, one hand nearly hitting Antoinette in the face.
"Well, you could have asked yesterday or earlier today," Danica commented. "You had plenty of time, one of us judges could have told you."
"Or you could have looked at the contract," Csilla spoke up.
"If you had done either of those two," Danica said, "you could have reworked your routine and there wouldn't have been anger between each other. Special effects will come into use when we have the professionals here to help you guys out for the next time you guys sing."
"But because they weren't allowed, you figured your performance score was down the drain," Steren said. "But it wasn't, and you put it half ways down the drain with your mood. That's on the both of you."
Aster soon picked up, "But I still liked the song, but it would have been a lot better if you guys weren't so... angry or uneasy during the song."
"So, both of you go sit down already and let's get the next group up here," Csilla commented.
The two nodded their heads at the judges, walking off of the stage. Antoinette still fuming, while Mork and Quinn came up to the stage.
Mork and Quinn Performing - Double Vision by Foreigner ( watch?v=6EKBQenIY2U)
Mork nodded at Quinn to being and she nodded in agreement as the music started up, with Quinn starting up the song. It was obvious that they were enjoying the song, singing as many lines as they could together but still individually singing lines on their own.
Staring at Mork, the judges could see that he was a bit tense but as he sang the song he seemed to have relaxed enough. Throughout the song, the two were either back-to-back or facing each other as they individually sang their lines or a duo.
When the song ended, Mork let out a sigh of relief while Quinn held out her hand for a high five. With an awkward smile on his face, he gave her one as the judges talked for a few moments longer.
"Mork's voice," Csilla spoke and he stared at her with wide eyes, "it had me impressed to be honest. It was almost right there on the note. Quinn, don't take it too hard but his voice dominated yours skill wise."
"Uh, thanks," Mork said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"It's not a big deal," Quinn spoke. "I liked the song. And I had fun with it."
"That's good to hear," Danica commented. "I'm glad that you had fun with the song, but I could see that you both had fun. Mork, you were tense but as you continued through you relaxed, that's something we kind of want to see. Being stiff has been out for seasons, being relaxed is still in."
"And if you don't enjoy the song," Aster spoke, "then you're not performing it right. And that can be a reason to get you eliminated."
Mork and Quinn stared at Aster while Csilla hit her on the back of her head, muttering "idiot you're not supposed to say that" to her in the process. Danica shook her head in dismay while Steren covered her hands with her face.
"Next group please," Steren called out.
Mag and Charlize Performing - My Bloody Valentine by Tata Young ( watch?v=fbQAJ7LWxgc)
Mag and Charlize came up to the stage, the two girls taking the microphone out of the stands. Mag seemed rather annoyed as she looked over at Charlize while Charlize had a displeased look on her face.
The judges made marks during the song, watching both girls carefully. They knew for certain Charlize did not like the pick of the song at all. But it was obvious that Charlize made herself and Mag practice a lot. As they sang, the judges noted that their time was either too fast or a bit too slow on the lyrics, especially for Charlize.
They had ended up back-to-back when they ended the song and looked at the judges.
"Well, even though you both don't have the best vocals, you both did well with the song," Danica said. "Especially singing together."
""We practiced hard to make sure those parts of the song were perfect," Charlize spoke.
"Though it would have been better if we practiced a bit more on keeping on time with the music," Mag commented, looking at Charlize.
"We were fine," Charlize spoke back to Mag.
"No, I think Mag is right," Steren spoke up. "Your pacing was a bit off Charlize."
"But anyways girls," Aster said, "Thank you for coming up and singing for us. You may go and take your seats. Group eight, you're up."
Mag and Charlize left the stage as Chelsea and Quinton approached the stage.
Chelsea and Quinton Performing - We Belong by Pat Benatar ( watch?v=gXWWRWrpH1o)
Chelsea was the first one to start up the song, then Quinton sang. When Chelsea sang the third line of lyrics, Quinton twitched a small bit as she sang the wrong words to the song. This the judges instantly noted.
Quinton stayed on note with the lyrics throughout the song while Chelsea sang a few more lyrics wrong. Even though the lyrics went decently well with the song, the judges made notes of it.
The song ended with them singing the last lines together; Chelsea doing a deep bow towards the judges.
Aster tilted her head with her mouth open, staring at the two. Danica rapidly fiddled with her pen, the ends hitting the table.
"What do you think of the performance?" Chelsea asked the judges; while Csilla and Steren kind of whispered to each other.
"Did you change the lyrics?" Aster questioned, her mouth a bit dry after having it open for a while.
"is that a problem?" Chelsea questioned a bit defensive.
"Well... you guys submitted your lyrics to us and there aren't any notes of lyrics being changed," Danica said. "I mean they flowed well with the song, but it would have been nice to inform of them before you got up here to sing while you guys were sitting behind us."
"Oh," Chelsea said in a non-caring tone. "The changes were last second as we came up on stage."
"Someone please ask or say something else so we can move on," Csilla piped up.
"Quinton, your voice was flat," Steren spoke.
"I never did any singing until now," Quinton spoke. "So, this was my first performance."
"That's okay, at least your were on key with the lyrics," Steren spoke with a smile on her face. "Remember, we're just testing the waters here."
"Thanks," Quinton spoke back.
"Chelsea, your vocals were better than Quintons," Csilla said as a smile came onto Chelsea's face, "but I still feel like you need practice."
This dropped the smile off her face.
Before Chelsea could speak, Danica stood up from her chair. "Next group please!"
Quinton quickly guided Chelsea off the stage before she could protest as V and Mikata came up.
V and Mikata Performing - Alejandro by Lady Gaga ( watch?v=etyt4-qvB5s)
Mikata seemed really nervous as he came up onto the stage, but closing his eyes for a second he seemed to have really relaxed as the music started up.
The two alternated with every line, except for when the main chorus line came they ended up singing it together. They seemed to be a pretty good singing duo, but the judges could hear the vocal differences between the two which they marked down in their journals.
Wrapping up their song, everyone stared at them while they clapped. Mikata quickly grew nervous again, looking down at the floor while waiting for the judges comments on their performance.
"You two seemed to have worked on hard on the song," Csilla commented, writing stuff down on her journal still.
"Thanks, we worked hard on the song" V spoke. "Right Mikata?"
"Uh... yeah... yeah," Mikata spoke in a soft voice through the microphone.
"Csilla are you writing your story in your judge journal?" Danica commented, only receiving a shrug from her. "Anyways, there was a difference in the vocals during the song."
Mikata gulped at this, looking at V who just had a look on her face like she didn't care at all.
But Danica continued talking, "Which is good, because who wants to be same? Being different is better, cause it helps distinguish who you want to be and who you are."
"I'd rather be different than the same," Aster said. "No one should be conformed to being exactly like someone else."
Danica nodded her head in agreement. "Thank you both," Steren spoke. "Please take your seats now. Laverne and Lloyd get here and let's see you perform."
Laverne and Lloyd Performing - Disintegration by Monarchy ft. Vita von Teese ( watch?v=9wjBf9E1LWo)
Laverne and Lloyd started the song out singing together in a slow tone, but as the tempo of the song started to pick up they did so as well. They alternated some lines, but sang the majority of the song together. They came to a pause in the song and Laverne swiftly grabbed Lloyd by the wrist and guided him through some dance moves that were easy enough for anyone to do but were also considered a bit risque.
That seemed to grab the judges attention for a second, before the two immediately returned to singing the song; Lloyd had a freaked look on his face but Laverne threw him a wink and he just nodded his head at her while they continued to sing.
When the vocals came to a stop, Lloyd followed Laverne's lead through the song, doing his best to keep a calm face on now before the two went back to singing. As the music ended, Lloyd sang the last lyrics.
The judges talked between each other for a few seconds, glancing back at Lloyd and Laverne a time or two before they stopped talking and turned back to them.
"Well, you added a bit of a dance there," Aster spoke. "That was amusing."
"Lloyd was taken by surprise for it," Steren said. "Was this thought of last second?"
"I figured we do something than just stand on the stage," Laverne said. "Plus, you were really hoping from the risque song that Luna and Vivian sang that there would be some dancing involved."
"I-I wasn't expecting it." Lloyd spoke. "Really, I wasn't."
"Well, I'm glad that someone was listening to notes," Csilla said. "Disintegration is a risque song if you watched the music video, so throwing in the dancing helped out."
"You both alternated well enough," Steren said. "And your voices complimented each other, including skill."
"You two can go back to your seats," Aster said. "Let's get our next group up here."
Laverne and Lloyd left the stage as Buck and Rival came up.
Buck and Rival Performing - 99 Problems by Hugo ( watch?v=HuS-3zxOKQY)
Rival and Buck smirked at each other; the two of them leaving their microphones on the stands. And the music started up, the two beating the feet that kind of looked like they were doing a bit of a line dance to get in beat with the music, before stopping so they could sing.
They could hear the difference in both of their voices. Buck having a country accent as he sang while Rival had a British accent to his voice as he sang.
During the moments that they weren't singing to the song, they resumed beating their feet on the ground and clapped their hands to the music. The two ended the song, singing the final line together.
Smirking, Rival took the microphone from the stand and held it up in the air before letting it drop onto the stage floor.
"Why the mic drop?" Danica asked him.
"Why not?" Rival asked her.
"Good point," she responded back.
"Nice boot stomping boys," Steren spoke. "Even though it was basic, you added something to your performance."
"Thanks," the two spoke at the same time making them glance at each other with raised eyebrows.
"Mind reading much?" Csilla spoke.
"Guess they have telepathy," Danica joked.
"That's be cool to have," Rival spoke through the microphone.
"We had to different vocals, it was a unique combination," Steren said.
"At least the song was upbeat and was fun, maybe this should have been the last performance." Aster said as she looked over at Chris. He just shrugged at her before he turned his attention to his phone.
"Good job with the song boys and thanks for singing, why don't you both take a seat now?" Csilla spoke to them. They nodded their heads and headed back to their seats. Erin was still cheering loudly as they left the stage.
"FINAL GROUP!" Aster shouted at the top of her lungs. Jacob jumped to his feet with a proud smile on his face, while Shion followed behind him.
Jacob and Shion Performing - Where Is Your Heart At by Jamie Cullum ( watch?v=Vu0jibGY6SM)
Everyone could hear jazz music starting up as Shion and Jacob took the stage, standing microphones in front of them. The two started singing, Jacob singing the first line before Shion stepped in. The two alternated lines, singing to their best performance. When the song paused, the two finger snapped to the music before the resumed singing again.
In the end, it was Jacob who sang the finale line. And the two looked at the judges, waiting for their comments.
"I'd have to say," Aster sang, "that song is a fun one. It was classy."
"Both your boys vocals were put to good use for this song," Csilla said, "but I preferred Shion's over yours, Jacob."
Steren was seen scrolling through her phone for a second, before she talked.
"Don't you play an instrument Jacob?" Steren asked him.
"Yes, why?" Jacob questioned.
"Well, you could have played it during the song," Steren said. "We said nothing about using instruments to help you with the song."
Jacob blinked for a second and took in a deep breath, but Danica spoke up before he could say a word.
"And your vocal range... are you a tenor?" Danica asked him.
"No, baritone," Jacob answered back to her. She raised an eyebrow at him, before looking back down at his application.
"But it says here-" Danica started up before Aster interrupted her.
"The harmonization was great boys, thank you so much for the performance. You can go join your friends now," Aster spoke before she turned to Danica. "We're running low on performance time, they need to get to the group song."
"But his vocal range isn't right," Danica stated. "I'm trained to identify vocal ranges here."
"She has a point," Csilla spoke. "She's more trained than us in recognizing vocal range."
"So, you judges good to move on?" Chris asked them.
"Yeah, give them a bit before the group performance," Steren spoke, waving Chris off. Chris rolled his eyes and walked away from them, Aster giving him the finger behind his back.
Back in their seats, everyone tried to relax as best as they could as they knew that the group song was the final thing to determine who was leaving the show first. They knew the judges would be carefully watching them now as they perform.
They could see that the judges were talking for a while, looking at the contract and their phones. At most where their applications were being viewed.
"Alright then," Csilla spoke as she stood up then turned towards the contestants. "Let's get you guys up on the stage and start performing."
Getting up from their seats, everyone headed onto the stage.
Everyone Performing - Murder! Murder! from the Jekyll and Hyde Musical ( /FSWlE3HJoDg)
The judges stared at the group of contestants as they sang their lines according to the song - Jacob, Buck, Rival, Jacob, the girls, Antoinette, the boys, Shane, everyone singing at one, then followed by Shion with harmonization in the background. Then Quaoar stepped out, saying his lines as everyone stepped back except for Rival who stepped off stage with Quaoar before the singing picked up again.
Buck was the first to pick up followed by Quinton, Lloyd, Antoinette, Capone, Brett, Mork, Vernon then everyone singing at once. When they finished the final singing line, like with Rival, they all stepped back except for Laverne who remained on center stage. Quaoar once more appeared on the stage, once he finished his line the two stepped off the stage.
Everyone sang at once before Vivian sang her line, before everyone sang at once followed by Shane singing his line. Then they all sang once more.
For a third time, everyone but Mikata stepped back and Quaoar came out to do his line. Finishing, he and Mikata left the stage.
Erin sang out first, with Yves singing her line right after her. Everyone sang once more again, then Chelsea sang followed by Luna, Mag, Vivian then everyone once again. The music played for a small bit before they boys sang out. Charlize sang out her line, with V and Yves singing their line at the same time, followed by Jacob, Capone, everyone singing once more, then Shion and Luna.
In the end, the sang the rest of the song as a group.
There was applause from the judges, but they each held their tongue back. Standing up, the four looked over at Chris.
"Chris, be a good itty-bitty tiny host and show them to where the eliminations will be at," Aster spoke. "We need some time to discuss our final opinion before we pick who to eliminate."
"Yeah, sure," Chris spoke, looking at them annoyed. "Let me just get a map of the place so I can find it."
The judges rolled their eyes at Chris, before walking away from the area.
"Alright, you heard them," Chris spoke. "Let's move to the elimination area."
The First Elimination of the Season - Judge's Pick.
They all sat in a large colosseum; rows of seats circling around a large star-shape stage that was in the center of the whole place. The whole building stood about four stories tall in height and could possibly fit nearly 30,000 people. The floor and walls were done in white granite with pale silver veins flowing through it. The seats were black with soft cushioning on them to make everyone comfortable. There were black tile pathways that led up to the stage between sections, allowing those who were called from the audience to come down to the stage.
"Welcome to the first elimination," Chris spoke as the judges stood to his right while Chef stood to his left. Chef had a large silver plate with a cover on it on one of his hands and everyone had theirs eyes on it for a second. "What Chef has here, is your reward for those who are safe to continue on with the show."
Everyone glanced away from the plate Chef had towards Chris.
"We brought back an old favorite," Chris announced. "From Total Drama Island. The marshmallow."
Chef unveiled the plate and everyone saw that the marshmallows looked a bit different.
"Sephiria wanted them to be different and sweetened up so... Chef here used double jumbo size marshmallows that have been dipped in chocolate and added sprinkles to them."
"I LOVE SPRINKLES!" Erin happily shouted out with excitement; she almost got up to run for them but Rival held her back.
"Easy, easy," Chris spoke with an annoyed tone. "Only those who are safe gets these. Once you get it, get off the stage and take a seat. Judges, give us your final thoughts here so we can send the person home."
"Tonight, us judges get to pick," Aster spoke. "The next episode is when your team gets to pick who leaves this ground."
"So, your fate is in our hands," Danica spoke, while Steren rolled her eyes with amusement.
"The first half that we call up and spare from judgement," Csilla spoke, "will be the first ones genuinely safe. So we need - Mork, Erin, Shion, Capone and Brett, Luna, Laverne and Lloyd, Yves, along with Buck and Rival."
They all got up and walked forward towards the judges. Chef held the plate with the marshmallows out to them, swatting Erin's hand really hard when she tried to reach for two at once.
"Tonight, you will remain safe," Csilla told them.
"Though in the next episode, you might not be," Aster commented, throwing a wink at them.
"Depending on if your team wins or loses," Danica voiced.
"So, keep your guard up," Steren spoke.
"Now, then our losers, where we can call you out by group or by the person alone," Danica spoke, "Let's get Quaoar, Vernon, Jacob, V, Chelsea and Quinton, Quinn, Vivian, Shane and Antoinette, Mag and Charlize to come forward. Time for the real judgment, where only one of you won't be getting a marshmallow."
Jacob, Antoinette and Charlize were about to say something as they walked up but Csilla quickly spoke up, "Keep your mouth shuts until you learn you're reason as to why we don't consider you safe. We will be telling each of your, or repeating what we've already said, by performance order."
"Quaoar, we already told you," Danica said. "You're here because you lack emotion. Also, your singing wasn't that good."
"Vernon," Steren said, "Yves had to save your butt by covering for you."
Vernon looked down at the ground, looking rather uneasy now.
Danica soon spoke up, "Vivian, you were uncomfortable during your entire performance and couldn't look us in the eyes. Which is not proper stage manners."
"Shane, you wanted to use different objects to help out with your performance, which resulted in Antoinette's scorn upon you and your singing skills were below average," Aster said. "Antoinette, throughout the performance you were hostile which kind of ruined the atmosphere of your performance."
"Quinn, you already know and we know you're okay with," Steren said, "but your vocal skills were lacking."
"Charlize and Mag, you two were both lacking in singing skills," Csilla said. "Your tempo, the speed that your voices sang at to the music, was off like Mag stated."
"Quinton, your were horrible in singing, but your were amazing at the lyrics," Danica commented. "And Chelsea, the change in lyrics we found strange even though they went with the song. Still, we didn't know these changes were happening, if we did then you would be safe."
"V, you also lacked in vocal skills," Danica spoke.
"Jacob," Aster spoke. "You're up here because of suspicion on your vocal range as Danica still does not believe you to be tenor, and you also took a bit more of the song when singing."
Everyone stayed quiet as the judges glanced at each other before looking over at the plate of marshmallows, where there was only eleven left.
"Wow, talk about a lot of dead silence and hate," Chris snickered as he walked over next to Steren with Chef behind him. That said, Steren gave him a hard punch to the face; Chef just rolled his eyes and stayed quiet.
"Now, we're at the torture part," Csilla said. "Who's actually safe."
"In no particular order," Aster spoke as she smirked.
"First one safe... Quinton. Memorization is key." Danica commented, motioning him to come up and claim a marshmallow.
He sighed a bit in relief and grabbed his marshmallow, as he left the stage.
"Quaoar," Steren said. "You're safe as well, as you made up your duo performance with the group performance. But please, focus on showing emotion during the songs. That's important."
He nodded his head and took the marshmallow without a word, walking away from them.
"Vivian," Aster spoke up, "you still got potential in you. I just hope that the next song, you won't be uncomfortable again."
Vivian smiled and took the sweet treat.
"And that you can look at the judges and crowd before you," Aster called out to her, making Vivian flinch in the process.
"Next, Vernon," Csilla said. "You're singing was good, but hopefully you won't stutter next time."
He nodded his head as he took his marshmallow and left the stage.
"Quinn, you are the next one safe," Steren said. "You did well with the song, even though you weren't as good as Mork."
"Hey, still cool, I'll get better," Quinn spoke as she took the marshmallow and left.
"V," Aster said. "Even though your unison was off with Mikata, you still performed well. Come and get your marshmallow."
She walked up to Chef and took the marshmallow off the plate, leaving a few seconds after that.
"Jacob, you are safe as well," Danica said. "Your vocal range is still a matter of discussion, so I'll be keeping a closer eye on it."
Jacob barely nodded his head at her before taking the marshmallow and leaving the stage.
"Mag," Csilla said. "You may lack in vocal skills, but there's still room for improvement. Plus, you did well in the performance."
"Thanks," Mag said, as she grabbed her marshmallow while looking back at the remaining losers before heading off the stage.
"Antoinette," Steren said. "Your anger caused tension between you and Shane, but you used it to help you in the performance to get some passion there. So, grab your marshmallow.
"Also, get a better attitude," Csilla commented as Antoinette grabbed her marshmallow.
"Charlize," Danica said, "you focused well on the song with Mag. But your timing for the lyrics were off and you need to practice a bit more on your vocals."
Charlize glared at her while grabbing the marshmallow in the process.
"And our last marshmallow goes to..." Aster spoke up. "Chelsea, you may have messed up on the lyrics but you still performed well enough to make it through another day. Sorry Shane, but how you got those supplies for the performance to use before they were declared not allowed to be used is a mystery to us. But you also caused the fury of Antoinette and we cannot have anyone here using stuff like that without a professional on sight to observe and make sure it's safe. So, you are our first contestant off the show."
"We'll walk out with you," Steren said. "Chris do the outro."
The judges walked off the stage as they guided Shane away while Chris got in front of the camera.
"Well, this marks the end of first episode that begins our season!" Chris happily called out. "What will happen to our contestants in the next episode? What kind of fun will we be having? Who will be our second person eliminated? And who will get to take home the prize money? Find out on TDLV!"
"You know something," Chef spoke up.
"What?" Chris asked.
"We never thought of team names," Chef told Chris.
Chris stared at the camera with a blank face before covering his face with his hands.
