vfc15650: Yeah man, cliffhangers are necessary sometimes. As for your theory...just wait and see if it's right or wrong. And to be clear, I'll try to post episodes on weekends because that's when I have the most free time but if there's any delay, I'll post new episodes on Mondays. or Tuesdays. (At least, on the corresponding days in my calendar since I'm Brazilian and there's the time zone thing)
Wildcard Sparda: Yes, Mysterio knows Omni-Spider's identity. And as said above, wait to see if your theory is correct. And yes, Casey might think Ben is doing just that to pick up girls.
MAB86: I was never a Squadron Supreme fan either. Like, they didn't even try when they copied Justice League. And thanks for the originality points.
Sergio Kirelli: For you, an answer equivalent to each chapter:
c3: Kitty and Peter were geniuses so I thought it would make sense for their kids to be too.
c6: Yeah, their breakup was one of the things I hated about the Hickman era. But actually in the comics I think they reconciled in the current run of Black Panther. And Storm for me, is undoubtedly the most worthy of being the godmother of Peter and Kitty's daughter.
C8: The mutants who voted to expel Kitty were a bunch of assholes to me who considered themselves gods and superior to both humans and their own kind. So I thought they deserved to feel a fear for what they did.
c11:The old people of Krakoa felt invincible but then I thought that the fear of such a great power would make them realize the truth and that if they don't change their attitude, someone will change it for them.
c12: The part of the council that trusts Kitty and Spidey due to numerous events that have made them trust them. Yes, in a way Mystique is related to the Parkers. Which can really cause a huge amount of confusion. I also love writing the bad guys shaking in fear. I can't wait to write the next chapters and the reactions they would have upon discovering the source of their recurring fear.
UNLIMITED OMNI-SPIDER: REFLECTIONS
After his first day at Horizon High, Ben met Cassie Milton, daughter of the hero Hyperion and Power Princess. Ben also discovered that Mysterio was stealing a rock from the school's equipment storage, and by facing his army, Ben awakened a new power. Now, Ben's list of powers so far only grew and honestly, that was something to worry about.
He was currently in civilian clothes on a roof looking out over the city and wondering what to do. His powers just kept on increasing. Ben soon assumed it was only a matter of time before his powers reached a point where keeping a secret was no longer a possibility.
And worst of all, Mysterio knew about Ben's identity! And he also mentioned that Ben's power was so great that there was someone he had defeated but who? Ben only awakened his mutant powers about two weeks ago and suddenly a sorcerer finds out?
Ben has to find a way to fix this soon but how? He has about 5 allies currently. He knows Wolf, Velocity and Olympia. Not to mention Ben's siblings Shadow-Spider and Dusk-Spider.
And Ben had one more problem, he was really bad with secret identities. He didn't even mean to tell Olympia, but she apparently figured it out on her own and Ben was so panicked about the situation that he didn't even bother to make a fool of himself.
Ben unfortunately had broken the promise he made to Casey. Oh my and Casey!?
How can he react to this? Afraid of his brother's strength? Jealous of not being strong like him? Ben couldn't get those worries out of his head as he stared at the ceiling.
Ben had his head down as he looked at the city more doubtfully. And as he did so, he didn't even notice a familiar voice coming from close by.
?: I didn't know you were melancholy on rooftops- A female voice spoke with a certain playful tone.
It was Sora but this time, she was in civilian clothes. She wore a black shirt with blue jeans and gray sneakers.
Ben: My god, does that girl never stop being pretty?- Ben was pulled out of his thoughts and looked at Sora approaching him. She was standing next to Ben who was sitting on the edge of the roof.
Ben: Not to be mean, but how did you find me here? You put a tracker around my neck?
Sora: My technology isn't that good.
Ben: Well, what is it? Any new gangs popped up or something?
Sora: No. I usually walk on rooftops to practice my movement in open spaces and I saw you near here. Looks depressed.
Ben: I'm not depressed. So I'm thoughtful. But don't worry, you don't have to worry. I'm fine." Ben said with a forced smile.
Sora wasn't an expert on relationships and friendships but she could see how Ben seemed to want to push her away. She immediately deduced that he was in trouble.
Ben was someone good. Sora could see that. Also, he seemed genuine when he said that if she needed it, he would help her.
Sora: Are you going to keep lying to me or are you going to tell me what's going on.
Ben: Look, I appreciate your concern but I don't feel like saying. I have a very busy head and I don't think you care about my problems.
Sora: Try.
Ben: There's a new guy who apparently wants to kill me, he knows who I am. And now I'm worried. How is this possible?
Sora: Is it someone you've met?
Ben: I've never met anyone with similar powers.
Sora: Could you have pissed off someone this new guy knows?
Ben: I don't think so. I face most of my father's enemies. This guy is a total stranger to me. But I heard him mention that I beat someone he knows. But I don't know who that someone is.
Sora: Someone with sorcery powers?
Ben: I've never faced anything more than what I'm used to. I've never defeated aliens, robots or sorcerers. Mysterio is the first.
Sora: And your family? Can they have any involvement with it?
Ben: I don't know either. I've only seen this guy twice so far.
Sora: In short, your information on this guy is zero percent. I don't know if I can help you with this.
Ben: You don't have to. It's just that I think... I got used to my own degree of normal and a few days ago, I discovered that this pattern no longer exists.
Sora: Why?
Ben: Let's just say I discovered that my power goes beyond what I thought. And I realized that I must learn to use this power. But the only one who can help me, doesn't answer me and I'm afraid my brother knows about it and feels jealous or angry.
Sora: Do you care about your brother?
Ben: Of course I do. He's practically my best friend.
Sora: And you trust him?
Ben: Of course.
Sora: So he didn't react like that. I don't have brothers but... -She sighs- If I did, I would always tell them everything because if you can't trust your family, then who can you trust?
Ben: Heh, thanks Sora. I think you're mastering the art of speeches- He laughs as he smiles.
Sora: Yeah, I think so.- She says with a slight smile but then her eyes get a little sad and she decides to ask Ben something- Hey Ben, what's it like having... a big sister?
Ben: Well...eh...it's great. My sister is someone very worried about me and my brother. She always supports me when I need it and she often takes responsibility for the three of us.
Sora: Heh, I figured it out.- She says, a little wistfully.
Ben: Sora? Are you all right?" Ben said with a serious and worried face.
Sora: Yeah, I'm just remembering a conversation with my mother. I..
Ben: Sora, remember what I said. If you need to talk or need someone to listen. I am here. Like friend.
Sora: Well I don't know the story properly but I should have had an older sister but she...
Ben: She's gone. My goodness, I can't even imagine what it must be like.
Sora: I never met her. She died before I was born but, I don't know, it would be nice to have someone like that.
Ben: I don't know what I would do without my siblings. I haven't met her, but she would probably be someone nice.
Sora: How do you know?
Ben: Because she would be your sister. And I think you're nice. You are a hero and not to mention you are a good friend.
Sora: Thank you, Ben.- She shows a slight smile.
Ben smiles happily and Sora blushes a little and turns away so Ben won't notice.
Sora: Hey Ben, do you still have the communicator I gave you?
Ben: I have. Because?
Sora: Give it to me- He puts his hand in his pocket and gives the communicator to Sora who then throws it on the ground and steps on it.
Ben: But...why you?
Sora: I made a mistake and forgot to encrypt the message channel. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want them to hear our conversations.
Ben: Yeah I agree. Hey, I don't mean to be nosy, but where do you get all this technology?
Sora: I have a great talent with that kind of thing. Believe it or not, I made a communicator with the wires of an old Nokia along with the circuits of an Iphone 3 that I found in the trash.
Ben: Really? Did you know that I once designed a Spider-Mobile that looked like a tank?- Ben says this with a laugh but Sora doesn't laugh but gives a slight smile.
Sora: For someone so young, he's pretty smart and I have to admit that with that tied hair, he looks kind of…cute-She thinks as she quickly glances at Ben.
(A/N: Ben has his hair tied up similar to the character Izumi Miyamura from the Horimiya anime and Ben is no longer wearing his glasses. Ben only wore them out of habit as he wore glasses before receiving his powers.)
Ben: Wait a minute. Will you give me another communicator?
Sora: Maybe another day, I have yet to review this. And I better get home soon, my father won't be able to distract my mother for so long.
Ben: She won't let you fight crime?
Sora: Yes but she made me a condition that I would have to come home early. And I don't like to piss her off.
Ben: I know how it is- Ben said as he remembered a time when he and his brother broke Kitty's rules and stayed up an entire weekend to play the game Injustice 3. They got punched so hard by Kitty, that it made them wonder if their mother was stronger than Thor.
Sora says goodbye and leaves. As she runs across the rooftops, she hears her cell phone vibrating and answers it.
Sora: Hello, Dad? Yes, I'm almost home. I know Mom can kill you if you keep covering for me again, but calm down, I managed to cover my tracks. What? Oh yes. Having a telepathic mother sucks.
Ben saw her leaving and wondering where she lived. Ben didn't know much about Sora so he wondered if she lived in an apartment or something. It wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary. But considering Sora's vibe, Ben had deduced that she was only temporarily in town while her house was somewhere quieter.
Well, Ben will have to remember to ask that another time.
Ben then jumps off the roof, still in his civilian attire, and starts walking down the street. He then decides to take action and goes to a very specific building.
Yes, Ben was standing in front of the Baxter Building, the HQ of the Fantastic Four, the world's first family of heroes and one that Ben considered one of the best teams.
In fact, Ben's personal ranking of favorite hero teams would be:
1.X-Men because Ben believes that many of its members match if not surpass the Avengers
2. FF because Ben knew and admired them and seeing them always gave Ben to have something similar to what FF had. A family of superheroes. Not to mention that the FF had Franklin Richards, Ben's considered older brother and someone very powerful. Many times when Ben was a kid and he saw a strong new villain, he would automatically think: Frankie would defeat this Messhugah without an ounce of trouble.
3. Avengers. Ben admitted that the Avengers were strong but he was never a big fan of theirs. He didn't hate them for having Tony Stark in the group but they admitted that the Avengers are pretty forgettable now, at least for Ben. Like, the X-Men have Krakoa, the FF has the Baxter Building but... where do the Avengers live?
Ben then entered the building expecting to see someone in the lobby but he only saw an empty seat.
Ben: Are you kidding me? Does New York have an addiction to imitating horror movies? - Ben says out loud but he heard something approaching. It was HERBIE, the FF robot.
HERBIE: Oh hello Ben, what's up? Did you come looking for Valeria or Franklin?
Ben: Actually, yes. Where are they? I'm in need of help with something.
HERBIE: Do you have an invention idea and need Valeria to evaluate it? Or do you just want to keep asking Franklin which heroes he would win? - As mentioned before, Franklin was an idol to Ben and Ben considered Franklin invincible. So much so that Ben believed that Franklin could defeat all Omega Level mutants with just a snap of his fingers.
Ben: No, I...I need Franklin's help with something...that involves my powers.
HERBIE: Sorry but he and Valeria aren't here. They went on a mission into space with the others.
Ben: Damn. Wait why didn't you tell me before? Did Jo-Venn and N'Kalla fight again and accidentally hit you again?
HERBIE: I...I don't remember for sure.
Ben: Yeha, they must have damaged your CPU. Turns around quickly.- HERBIE turns around and Ben checks his systems- Wait a minute. And I just put this right here and...
HERBIE:...RESTARTING. Thank you, Ben.
Ben: You're welcome. Tell me is there any prediction of the return of FF?
HERBIE: Unfortunately, no. But I will say you were here.
Ben: Thank you.- Ben says and says goodbye and then leaves the Baxter Building.- Damn! My best chance at tutoring isn't here. I just wish I could talk to someone...I just- Ben says and then remembers someone he hasn't visited so far.
Ben went into an alley and quickly changed into his suit. He was swinging through the webs as fast as possible until he reached his destination. He later found an alley and put his civilian attire over his Omni-Spider suit but removed his mask.
Ben then ran through a park. But it wasn't a park.
Ben: Hi. It's been a while. I didn't mean to interrupt you. Must be upstairs with grandpa while they watch TV or just spend a day at the beach. I remember you saying you guys did that while he was alive. But I didn't come here for that.-He takes a deep breath before speaking-I've been going through changes. Changes that made me different from any teenager. I feel desperate and worried. I do not know what to do. Everyone tries to advise me and I appreciate that. But I don't know what I do. They say it's my decision but I don't know what to decide. I... wish you were here with me... grandma
Ben was in front of a headstone that read: Here lies May Parker. Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
Ben then remembers his childhood.
FEAST CENTER/ 5 years ago.
10-year-old Ben was at the FEAST CENTER in his grandmother's office while feeling pressured by something he did. He ended up facing a bully at school but ended up getting punched.
Aunt May: So...Ben, there's something you want to say.
Ben: No
Aunt May: Why did you try to fight those boys?
Ben: I wanted to be strong like Mom and Dad.
Aunt May: Do you want to be strong like them?
Ben: Yeah, they're not afraid of anything. They always defeat all villains and never lose.
Aunt May: Ben, do you think your father wasn't afraid or defeated at some point?
Ben: Did he?
Aunt May: Yes. Listen Ben, being a hero isn't just about putting on a mask and suddenly all the fear you feel disappears. Having courage does not mean not being afraid, but being willing to face it and never give up in the face of a difficult situation. And, know that there will always be situations where you will fall but you have a lot of people here that will help you.
Ben: But what if I never get my powers?
Aunt May: You never needed them. What matters is not what your powers are but how you use them.
Ben: I want to use them to help not just New York but the entire planet.
Aunt May: Did my speech inspire you that much?
Ben: That's not all. The world is a big place. I want all people to look up and see that there is someone to protect them. And not only that, I will also protect mutants and everyone in need.
Aunt May: So I believe you've discovered your dream?
Ben: Yes! My dream is to be...
Currently:
Ben (15 Years): The greatest hero of all. How dad and mom were. I forgot I had this dream after you died. I missed you everyday. I felt that I depended on you to achieve this dream. And without you here, I would never make it because I would never have someone like you to advise me grandma. Thanks for helping me find my way. And even though you're not here, you continue to inspire me to be better. I've already learned as much as I could from you, now it's time to show it to the world.
Ben: This power given to me is insane. I think if you were here, you'd probably be kind of stunned and panicked at the same time. Not out of fear of me, but out of fear of what could happen to me. Since I've always been kind of stubborn and impulsive. I would explain that I don't know what to do and you would say it's my decision. And then I would remember our conversation, and then I would remember that... when you can do good things for other people, then it's your duty to do so.
Ben: I hope you're watching me, Granny May. I will save the world and keep it from being afraid. It doesn't matter if I don't win anything. I will do it because it's right. It's what you and Grandpa Ben would have done. You are the reason I fight because I will do it for you. For my dad, my mom, May, Casey, Aunt Teresa, Uncle Kurt, Ren. All of you. My super powerful family. I will be the hero of you and the whole world. You will see. I will give my all. And I will never give up. I will be the symbol of justice, truth, hope for everyone. For there is an equation: AmazingAstonishing=Unlimited.
Ben says this while shedding a tear as he realizes that even though she is no longer here, his beloved grandmother will always inspire him and, like all his family, will motivate Ben to follow his own path.
Ben then raises his hand to dry the tears and realizes that he has created a new universe again.
Ben: Heh. The insane amount of people I can save with this power. No doubt this will be amazing. Thank you, Granny. I love you. I come back here another day.
Ben says with confidence regained and ready to take a new path. The path he chose.
