Welcome to another chapter. Now let's answer the reviews.
vfc15650: I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't posted any chapters for a couple of weeks and I'm sorry about that. School, worries and stuff like that. And when I get really worried, I can't write the chapters right. But I'm glad you liked the previous chapter.
Wildcard Sparda: I really think a lot of mutant teenagers should have that fear of themselves. Well, so should he after all he's a 15 year old boy from Queens with the powers of a god. Regarding Ben's relationship with Sora, I'm glad he liked it. I admit I was worried about not building this well. About Aunt May, I also thought it would make more sense if she had already died. It was a tough decision for me so I thought I could at least get her to meet Peter and Kitty's kids and inspire them. After all, she taught Peter many things and always valued helping others. Is there better inspiration?
Shadow: Yes, both Teresa and Emma will interact at some point. Yes technically Rouge is connected to the Spider family. Since she is Mystique's adopted daughter, Mystique is the mother of Nightcrawler, who is married to Spider-Man's sister.
So I'm part of the circle of writers who made it impossible to understand the X-Men family tree? YAY!
Co-Writers (I think you can call it that, if not, correct me): Wildcard Sparda, MAB86, Sergio Kirelli.
UNLIMITED OMNI-SPIDER: PREPARATIONS
After visiting his Great-Aunt May's grave, Ben headed home with renewed determination. Ben always felt better after talking to his grandmother and this time was no different.
Ben continued to walk when he noticed a rumbling in his stomach.
He looked at an open restaurant and decided to go in for something to eat. The name of the restaurant was "Kirby's".
Ben then decided to go inside for a bite to eat and was surprised to find a familiar face at the checkout counter.
???: Oh, Ben!
Ben: Oh, Stanley! What are you doing here?" Ben had met Stan Lee or Stanley as he was called by all the students at Midtown High. Stan was the school janitor.
Stan Lee: Well, I couldn't support my apartment on just a janitor's salary so I decided to work here.
Ben: Really? And I thought you would move on with a writing career.
Stan Lee: Oh, I still haven't given up. I had an idea that I proposed to my editor but he said it was ridiculous
Ben: Don't say that kind of thing, Stanley. I bet it must be great. If your publisher doesn't think it's good then try selling it to another publisher and then your stupid publisher will break down and realize he was wrong. Who knows what might happen. Maybe you create the most famous character in the world.
Stan Lee: Hehe. You are a true believer from what I see! Tell me what do you want?
Ben: French fries with cheese.
Stan Lee: Okay.Hey Chris! Prepare cheese and potatoes for my friend here.- Stan spoke to the other cook.
Ben looked at him and immediately recognized him.
Ben: Mr Claremont?
Chris: Oh, Mr. Pryde. How are you?" The other cook asked sympathetically.
Ben: I'm fine, I just didn't expect to see my old teacher as a cook in a restaurant.
Stan Lee: Oh, you two already know each other?
Ben: Yes, Mr. Claremont taught me literature when I was in ninth grade, that is, last year.
Chris Claremont: Yes, Mr. Pryde was my best student and without a doubt the most dedicated.
Ben: I really liked his classes, by the way, I remember you dropping out of school for a gap year but I figured you were going to travel somewhere interesting.
Chris Claremont: I decided to try something new. I always liked to cook. The folks here in Queens are friendly, not to mention it's nice to have an old friend of mine like Stan around.
???: Hey you! Enough of the small talk!
Stan Lee: Sorry, Steve. Hey, this is Ben, an alumnus of Midtown High. Ben, this is Steve Ditko, the restaurant manager.
Ben: Nice to meet you. Wait... if you're the manager, then who's Kirby? You know the sign outside?
Steve Ditko: Well, he was our professor in college.
Ben: Your teacher?
Stan Lee: Yes, the three of us. We were all confused and undecided at the time but... Professor Jack Kirby taught us how we went through our challenges and found our goals. Some we still fight for.
Ben: Don't worry. I'm sure they will. I've had an example from countless people my entire life. When you have someone to be inspired by, you will always go to the end to reach that person and when you do, you will know that it will all be worth it.
Stan Lee: Heh. Did you teach him that?
Chris Claremont: He was my best student because he already had the instinct for speeches like that.
Steve Ditko: Well, let's take a break from this talk. Mr Pryde, you can sit down and the two of you cook his food.
Stan Lee: By the way, where is Romita? Shouldn't he be at the cashier?
Steve Ditko: He's at home taking care of Jr.
Ben: What nice people!-Ben thought and sat down but looking forward, Ben saw a hooded figure. It was a boy in a dark green jacket. The boy seemed to be half-smiling.
Ben: Oh, hi? Sorry but I...
???: Is that what you do after fights? Eat at fast-food outlets in Queens? For someone who beat him, you look pretty ordinary, Ben.- Ben realized right away who he was talking to.
Ben: Mysterio. Like you...
Mysterio: How do I know who you are? You must be thinking that we know each other. Not. You are a whole new face to me. And I don't see anything special about you. But unfortunately, I need you.
Ben: For what?
Mysterio: Let's just say I have a plan that involves you. Well, you and your siblings.
Ben: What's stopping me from jumping on this table and throwing you out of this restaurant and arresting you?- Ben says angrily and through gritted teeth
Mysterio: I saw you talking to those old men. I don't think your hero's conscience allows you to risk the lives of innocents. I planted a bomb somewhere in this restaurant. Right next to them.- He says and Ben looks ready to get up but Mysterio raises his palm to symbolize that Ben should stay put- Wait, my goodness, you're impulsive. Were you really everything he says?
Ben: Who is this "he"? I have no idea who you're talking about.
Ben: Who is this "he"? I have no idea who you're talking about.
Mysterio: It doesn't matter at this point. What I know is... I'm tired of being forced to look for you. It got boring and very tiring. Not to mention that it's now just a matter of time before others like you start looking for me.
Ben: I guess you didn't come to surrender...
Mysterio: I think I underestimated your intelligence. No, I didn't come to surrender. Dream Theater tomorrow. Let's get this over with.
Ben: But what if I break up with you now?
Mysterio: Well, I have access to the entire New York subway and let's just say that in the last few weeks, I took the opportunity to leave a guarantee that you would obey me. He told me that you are very attached to your morality. So, of course you will obey me. If you don't, people die. And if you try to access the bombs, they will cause immediate detonation. And, don't you dare try to cause any evacuation.
Ben: Why do you want me to come after you so badly?
Mysterio: I have a goal. And I need you to reach that goal. And, I know you will agree with me. Even if you are powerful, I bet your parents and your winged friends, fast, with capes and with swords are not. So I'll be waiting until tomorrow. Just you three. No one else.
Ben: Wait...- Mysterio disappears in green smoke.
Stan Lee: Okay. Cheese fries.- Stan watches Ben's expression. He looked worried.- Is everything okay?
Ben: Yeah, I was just...doing a new kind of meditation.
Stan Lee: Okay...- He says and then walks away. Leaving Ben alone with his thoughts.
Ben was now in an awkward posture. He no longer looked worried. He seemed to be...angry
Ben: That bastard! How dare he involve my family in this?! How dare he involve innocents in this?! How dare he involve my friends in this????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Ben thought full of hate.
Krakoa - Quiet Council Room.
The council was now in a meeting and its members seem to be in a new discussion
Mystique: Is this really necessary?
Emma: I believe so, Raven. Currently, our race continues to create descendants after the birth of our nation. And, we have to start believing in the possibility that a new generation of mutants will be born whose powers can transcend what we understand. So, to cover this, we must create a new classification. One that goes for those above Omega level.
Exodus: I consider it unnecessary. We already have our Messiah with us. And the Holy Spirit is already fighting alongside one of our own. With all these blessings taking place, we must pray that we don't receive a betrayal in our paradise. I don't even need to remember what I heard last time.
Storm: What are you implying?- She asked with hate in her voice because she knew exactly what he was talking about.
Mister Sinister: Obviously, he's referring to the traitorous brat who, unfortunately, was converted to the dark side because of one of my fallen clones.
Nightcrawler: How dare you!? Kitten helped us even after your selfish decision to banish her from Krakoa! Not to mention that we still have in our council, that bastard!- He yelled pointing to Essex.
Mister Sinister: Ouch! You seem in a bad mood to me. Let me guess. Did you fight the brat you had with that weak human you call wife?" Kurt looked prepared to attack but unfortunately Emma intervened and spoke to him telepathically.
Emma: Kurt, no.
Nightcrawler: If it was your daughters and husband he was insulting...
Emma: I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it. But you know him. He'll find a way to get back at you. And, I don't think you'd want to involve your family in this." She ended the broadcast and Kurt sat back through gritted teeth and still furious.
Mystique: Well, I prefer not to involve my son's family in this so let's get back to the main bullshit.- She said but approached Sinister and whispered to him- If you touch even a hair of my grandson's, I will kill you just to resurrect you and I'll keep killing you until you learn.- She stops in a whisper and turns her eyes to the rest of the council.-Although I can't disagree when I say we don't need another traitor. Not to mention, I don't even want to talk about how she leveled up. I would never have imagined that she would partner with that clown dressed as a spider.
Magneto: That's enough, Raven. Let's not talk about it anymore.
Prox.X: Correct, Erik. Now, let's get on with the business, Emma.
Emma: I appreciate it. A new classification is necessary and I believe that our biggest evidence is the "waves" felt by us in the last few days. Erik's proposal about the existence of a powerful new mutant is probably true. But, the information we have acquired about him is null. We don't know his identity, the totality of his powers or his affiliation.
Exodus: No worries about that. What kind of mutant would deny himself to this paradise?
Mister Sinister: Well, with the exception of...
Nightcrawler: Don't you dare mention my son...- Kurt stares at Essex with wide eyes while Essex just makes a face with a cocky smile and Emma continues talking.
Emma: And, Cerebro doesn't detect it. This is something really unusual.
Professor X: Emma is correct. When Cerebro detected Hope Summers, he ended up destroying himself because of an overload but this new mutant goes beyond that.
Mystique: Are you sure it's not just your paranoia? After all, how is it possible that there is someone who is not detected by Cerebro.
Magneto: We developed the theory that this new mutant is so powerful that his power can "spread" across the entire planet. Which, if true, could mean he could be someone really amazing.
Mister Sinister: What's all this work for? Can't we just scour the island? It shouldn't be likely that a couple of humans can make a...- Mister Sinister was speaking arrogantly when he felt the "waves" in his head again and then he started to sweat and his eyes widened in fear.
Mystique, Exodus, Magneto and Xavier felt the same way.
Everyone had the same vision. There was a pair of eyes with red irises and whose pupils appeared to be some sort of cross (like the eyes of Naruto Rikudou Sennin Mode)
Storm: What happened?
Mister Sinister: Eh...nothing. Just breathing a little- He tried to disguise his fearful attack as Mystique turned her head so they didn't notice her expression. Exodus still had his hands shaking and Xavier and Magneto were still sitting but Professor X's eyes were wide under his helmet and Erik looked like he was sweating nervously.
Emma: All right. So continuing. We'll call this new mutant Arcane. Which will also be the name of the new classification. Now let's vote-
Storm: Whoever this new mutant is, he must really deserve this rating, it's not every day we see our old enemies and some allies like this.- Storm thought of a telepathic transmission with Emma and Kurt, who agreed.
Kurt: I don't think I've ever seen any of them shaking in fear like that.
Parker Residence- Queens
Ben explained his situation to his siblings who seem to be pensive.
Ben: So...?
Casey: We're screwed!
May: How can he know our identities?
Ben: I don't know! Every time he talked about me, he mentioned someone, apparently powerful, that I'd defeated. The thing is, I don't think Dad's enemies are that strong. And I have no idea what he's talking about.
Casey: There has to be some plausible explanation. He must be some sort of telepath with a history of psychopathy or whatever.
May: If so, genius, then how did he manage to face us with such power?
Casey: I don't know, nothing else makes sense;
Ben: I'm sorry, guys. I didn't want that to happen.
May: Ben, it's not your fault.
Ben: But...
May: No "but". You can't keep blaming yourself. Especially for something that doesn't make any sense.
Ben: Okay but now what do we do?
Casey: Let's go after him!
May: Really?
Casey: We have no other choice, we can't alert anyone and we can't even go near the bombs. Man, I hate it when villains are more prepared than us.
Ben: Look, let's do this. Let's go to the Dream Theater. We face him with everything we have. I know it sounds like an empty plan. But we can't let him do that.
Casey: So his plan is to do everything on an improv basis.
May: Our parents did more with less in their day. Now we have to wait until tomorrow and hope everything is ok.
The next day- Em on the roof of a building near the Dream Theater.
The three of them were dressed in combat gear.
The three: Let's go!
1.So... what did you think of this chapter? Did I manage to create a good discussion among the Quiet Council?
2.Do you think I should start a saga with the X-Men after Mysterio's arc ends? After all, I think I, personally, should and want to.
3. Did you like my idea of making a restaurant whose employees are the writers and artists of the X-Men and Spidey? Should I make the restaurant like Central Perk in Friends or Maclauren in How I Met Your Mother, where the main character always appears?
4.What did you think of Ben's show of power?
5.Should the vote for a new mutant rating above Omega pass or fail?
Author's Note: By the way, I forgot to mention that Apocalypse is no longer in the council. In fact, a chapter will be released in a while that will not be a chapter. It will be a newsletter that describes the status of Krakoa and maybe but just maybe, the descendants of the X-Men.
Oh and one more thing...Inferno and Destiny of X haven't happened yet.
Oh, and without wanting to sound boring, if you can give me ideas for sagas, my knowledge of the X-Men is just about Kitty and the events of the Krakoa Era.
