Chapter 21
Alice
I was so excited.
Today I would meet Jackson Rathbone.
Don't get me wrong, Jazzie is my everything. But Jackson ... yeah, he had something. If I'm lucky, maybe I can have a little chat with him. Maybe even give him a hug, yeahaa, that would be great.
But now I had to focus on my two little hillbillies.
I painstakingly managed to turn them into two passable looking individuals. I'm so proud of myself. Bella was easier to transform than Edward, but I did really well with him. If I had known sooner that underneath that completely impossible shell was a very good-looking man, I would have dragged him to a hairdresser back in high school days. It was almost like Clark Kent. Glasses off and 'Tada', a hottie emerged. Even though the two think they're smart, I found the yellow jogging suit.
Goosebumps crawled all over my body.
Just thinking about that thing was just ... horrible. He was safe in Tanya's hut, they thought. But I let them believe that they were smarter than me. Me, who never misses anything. My grandma would say, 'Child, practice modesty.' Well, my grandma can't always be right. Modesty has never been my thing. Tanya can nibble on this thing if she wants, I certainly won't stop her.
I was also very proud of Bella.
She wrote this great book and now that I think of it, it fits her. Love at first sight, and just do not touch the beloved in places where it could be dangerous.
I sighed to myself.
A beautiful book. Infinite love. Hach ... it's beautiful. I can understand every woman who loves this hot vampire. Even my grandma read the book after I left it at her place once. She sighed and sniffled to herself and kept muttering how beautiful and romantic it was. For a few weeks, I always dragged that book around with me to read a bit in a moment of quiet. I must not have had it in my hand for three weeks. I had to change that, soon.
But now on to more important things.
The gala. Yesterday I had spent the whole day gathering and getting everything together so I wouldn't have a surprise when we got ready for the evening. Rose and Esmé could do it well on their own, but Bella would need my support. Once I was done with her, she would look like a princess. Oh ... I'm so looking forward to it, but knowing Bella ...
I heard a murmur from next door.
Jazzie seems to be waking up. My Jasper. My handsome, charming 'hotter than is good for him' Jasper. My husband. From the first moment we saw each other, I knew he was my life. My everything, forever and ever. My grandma would say: 'Marryinhaste, repentatleisure.' I had to disagree with her there too. There was nothing to check or regret. Although I'm not really one of the quick bunch and roll around in bed with anyone who crosses my path. But Jasper, yes, Jasper was an exception. My exception. My uber hot exception. I need to get my act together. I should probably think to that yellow thing.
Again I shook myself inwardly.
Ew!
Three ready-packed bags were in front of me, and I checked again that everything was in place. Because in the middle of the prepartions, I did not want to have to go to get a cream or mask, which is important for the success of the evening. With a three-page list in hand, I checked the bags. From A for applicators to N for nail file to T for tweezers and others, everything was packed.
Very good. We would all have a nice day today. Well, us girls. The guys can keep themselves busy elsewhere.
I chuckled.
Emmett with an anti-wrinkle mask on his face wouldn't be bad either. In fact, I'd have to force him. I'm sure Rose would help me give him a full facial, with everything included. After Rose called me yesterday, I imagine Bella would also show great interest in making Emmett suffer a little. That's quite a feat, what he has done there. Rosalie couldn't take it anymore and asked Bella if she had overheard anything. Yes, yes ... 'The eavesdropper on the wall hears his own shame,' my grandmother would say, and I agree with her. The jerk, such an insensitive, stupid, useless, uncouth, total jerk rarely comes to mind. But Emmett has always set the bar high, and the highest place has yet to be reached. I was shocked when Bella reluctantly told me about her virtually non-existent sex life. Weekends only. Only the man on top. What a shame.
I smiled to myself.
Fortunately, the two of them have put that aside, even if they are still at the beginning. When I sneaked out at night, I often heard clear noises from their room. You can't resist the power of human instincts.
Now a pleasant shiver trickled down my spine.
I stuck my head into the other room and there he was ... lying on his back ... naked ... glorious ... just for me.
Quickly think of something else again, but I can't do that if I stop here and watch my sex god sleeping.
The wedding was sooo beautiful and romantic. My Texan Romeo had left nothing out. The marriage proposal came three days after we met. Some would say it was a little too soon, but I say it was just right. And as it should be, we also had the hottest and horniest sex of my life first after four days – after the engagement. For hours and hours.
The yellow thing. The yellow thing. The yellow thing.
It wasn't easy to keep everything a secret, even though I would have loved to tell everyone about it. Only Carlisle had met me on the second evening, and from him I knew that he would never betray me. If it had been Esmé ... I don't even want to think about that. Total disaster plus the end of the world plus never-ending lectures on responsibility.
How can Bella and Edward stand it and the latter his whole life? I guess it's all a matter of habit ... I can carry the suitcases down then, said done. Whew, how heavy they are.
Now all I had to do was wake Jasper up.
That would not be easy. My seducer had a few tricks up his sleeve to distract me.
The yellow thing in front of my inner eye I entered the bedroom.
"Wake up," I purred in his ear.
He moved and his hand traveled down his chest and across his stomach to his ...
The yellow thing dissolved and turned into Jasper's magical wand. Shit, though! I didn't really have time to go on an extensive expedition into the depths of Jasper, but maybe a little flying visit, just to say hello ...
Half an hour later I was completely done and satisfied.
Four times a day was a must, Jasper told me. I had nothing to say against that. How had I put up with the other guys? I've been asking myself that quite a bit lately. It was the best decision of my life to visit Bella and Edward and if all goes well, soon we'll all be living in the same place. It's going to be so fun. I was as happy as a lark. My grandma would say: 'Without friends you are nothing.'
My divine hubby came out of the bathroom naked as God created him.
"Ready for round two?"
He wiggled his eyebrows, and I jumped out of bed in a panic.
"NO! We have to leave right away, otherwise we'll be too late, and time will run out."
Faster than I knew how, I rushed past him to get dressed.
He laughed, that little shitter.
I quickly jumped in the shower again to remove the remnants of the last half hour.
Emmett could smell something like that from three kilometers away. So don't take any chances.
I dried myself and bent down, because between the toes must always be nice and dry.
I don't want such a fungus to take root in me.
I didn't hear him coming and when he grabbed me by my hips and pulled my ass to his already ready to use hard, making happy splendid cock, I cried out in fright.
Oh no, he could forget that. We had no time!
"And ... are you changing your mind?"
He moved his pelvis indecently and I moaned.
"No," I breathed.
"We'll see about that."
And with his supremely talented fingers, he changed my mind in seconds.
Did I mention that I married a monster. No? Well then, now you know.
Ten minutes later, I stood shivering in front of the mirror, panting like my grandma who had caught her cat. I cursed myself for not being able to resist Jasper. However, his powers of persuasion were just unbeatable.
But I had to get dressed NOW, otherwise we would be running to this gala as wanted and not able to, and Jackson would not dignify me with a glance.
That gave me new strength and I got dressed in no time. My grandma would say 'Faster than the police allow' - and we really had to hurry, otherwise the day would just get hectic, and I didn't want that.
I combed my hair.
Oh shit, I don't care what they look like, tonight I would shine like a star in the night sky.
Jasper appeared behind me and grinned at me through the mirror.
NO! I knew that grin.
"You can forget that! WE ... MUST ... NOW ... GO ... And no more otherwise distractions."
I looked at him sternly and he grinned even wider.
Lecher.
His magic fingers - did I mention that all his body parts have magic powers - stroked forward over my neck and embraced my chest.
I puffed and looked at him reprovingly.
"Stop."
It was more of a whine than a rant.
He bent down and kissed my shoulder, which he exposed by pulling my shirt to the side ...
Fifteen minutes later, I frantically gathered my clothes and got dressed.
That scoundrel. If he had a beard, he would be stroking it with relish right now. But he just stood there and was as happy as a sandboy that he had managed to distract me as usual.
I gathered my thoughts and rushed through the house, calling for my sex-obsessed husband and shooing him out. The suitcases still had to go in the car. But he had the ass calm away, as always, and loaded the car in all peace of mind.
Three minutes later, we rang Bella and Edward's doorbell.
A good-humored Esmé opened the door and greeted us.
Was this woman ever in a bad mood? I only knew her singing and beaming with joy, except her little baby was giving her trouble. Like not getting married and no have grandchildren. But if everything went according to plan, she would have both soon.
I grinned at Emmett, who was already, how could he not be, sitting at the table waiting to eat.
Glutton.
Bella and Edward sat next to each other and smiled like two angels who had a pass.
"Well, are you guys looking forward to tonight? It's going to be so great!"
I clapped my hands and pulled Jasper up beside me in the chair.
Esmé swirled around us and provided everyone with coffee or tea.
"Sure Alice, it will be wonderful," Bella said and kissed Edward on the cheek.
I looked at her suspiciously.
That she was happy, I did not expect, rather that she grumbled a little. But nothing. Edward radiated a serenity that I didn't know from him at all. Funny, but what the heck. He'll just be happy that his family is around him.
"We can go to your room later and prepare ourselves properly."
I looked at Bella and she shook her head.
"No, we'll take the empty guest room."
She smiled beatifically and I nodded.
It doesn't matter where we make ourselves pretty, the main thing is that we do it.
Emmett narrowed his eyes and looked at the two of them.
What did he have?
"You okay, Emmett? You look so glum? Are you missing something?"
I grinned at him, and he grinned back.
"Weren't you supposed to be here three quarters of an hour ago? You must have been delayed?" He stuck his nose in the air and sniffed. "Mmm ... that sure smells like ..."
I interrupted him.
"I guess your spy operation wasn't a success? "
I wiggled my eyebrows.
My grandma says, 'offense is the best defense' and I defended myself because I didn't want to talk about my ... um ... tardiness here and not now.
Jasper laughed, that traitor.
Emmett snorted and bit into his bun.
I smiled and we talked about tonight.
Nothing ruffled Bella and Edward.
That was strange, but I didn't worry about it. They already know what they are doing.
Bella floated through the house like the reincarnation of Lady Di and Edward followed her every step of the way. They whispered and chuckled like two freshly fallen in love.
Perhaps the sexual revolution of the two had rekindled their love. It is possible.
The others, especially Emmett, watched them warily.
I grabbed Rose.
"Say, what's going on. Those two are being watched like they're planning an escape."
"They are acting strangely. They are so calm. Everything bounces off them, nothing upsets them. That's what's going on."
Rose looked worried.
"So what? What's wrong with that? They're balanced because their family is here and they're not so alone anymore."
She shook her head.
"No, I don't know how to say it ... They are acting strangely."
She shrugged her shoulders and mused.
"Rose, this is Bella and Edward. What's going to happen?"
I looked at her encouragingly.
"You're probably right, Alice. But my inner feeler sounds an alarm just by seeing them. They're different than usual ... Oh, maybe I'm just imagining it."
She shook her head, but the worried look remained.
"Now, on a different subject. Did they say or imply anything else about Emmett's action?"
She shook her head.
"No, they didn't. I'm sure they heard us, but not a single word was heard. They just smile and whisper and chuckle."
Somehow I also got a sinking feeling in my stomach now.
That's not Bella's way of letting Emmett get unpunished. I'll just ask her.
I found the two of them smooching on the terrace and innocently questioned them.
Nothing. No hints, no anger. They just smiled at each other in love.
My distrust grew.
They were planning something; I was sure of it. But what? It can't be anything bad, they are virtue personified, but still. Rose drove me crazy and I'm beginning to see ghosts where there are none. But my grandmother's saying, 'Forewarned is forearmed,' continued to haunt my confused mind.
I looked at the clock.
Ten at once.
We women had to start making our masks and peelings. Because they needed time.
I gathered everyone together and Bella led us to the spare guest room. She had prepared everything.
Stacks of towels and a chair for everyone. Exemplary, I must say. I had already feared that she had nothing prepared.
Edward and Jasper brought up the suitcases from the car.
After a ten-minute goodbye, I finally pushed Edward out of the room.
They also had no control over themselves. Something like that would never happen to me.
I chuckled to myself and thought about this morning.
Yes, I understood them both completely.
Rose gushed about Kellan and Esmé about the merits of Peter.
Bella abstained from her voice and just smiled.
Yes, there was something up, definitely. She didn't grumble when I smeared the seaweed mask on her face and only nodded when I pressed the razor into her hand to remove excess hair. Humming, she shaved her legs and smiled wider and wider.
"Bella?"
I stood in the doorway and watched her conscientiously shave her legs.
"Yes Alice?"
She looked at me and her voice sounded as if she had popped a few pills. She virtually floated across the room toward me.
Hell! What's going on here?
"You are so happy and balanced and cheerful. Did I miss something?"
"No, everything's fine. I'm just looking forward to tonight."
Her gaze wandered into the distance and her smile had something dreamy about it.
What the hell was she dreaming about?
"Well, that's fine then. I'm sure it'll be fun."
"Yes, it will ... and I'm really looking forward to it."
Her voice still sounded so ... so ... floating, I couldn't think of a more appropriate word.
Edward knocked on the door every ten minutes to make sure his sweetheart was all right. She kissed him each time and stroked his face. He then smiled blissfully and disappeared for the next ten minutes. Bella then floated back to her chair and sat down to let her get beautified. Everything floated with her today, her voice, her face, even her smell somehow floated. She also skillfully dodged our questions. Esmé also realized that something was wrong, and she was afraid for her baby. Bella's smile did not disappear for a second and she looked more and more as if she were above things. She always answered my subtle questions politely and with a smile. I would love to wipe that smile off her face again, but she gave me no reason to do so. This broad almost drove me crazy today.
If I had known what they were up to, I would have personally chained her to the wall and thrown away the key. Rose, Emmett, Esmé, Jasper and Carlisle would have helped me under guarantee ... without a contradiction.
