Chapter two is finally done! It took me longer than expected. Chapter three we'll get to the main plot, I promise.

Responding to a PM I just got from The Helghast Marine: Chapter two is here. Thanks for reading.

My DEAREST apologies for taking so long guys! Enjoy this chapter!

15 years earlier...

She stood there, staring at the body on the ground. He was dead.

"Those goddamn reptiles... Or whatever the fuck they are!" She tried to stop them, but the tears that had collected in her eyes still fell down all the same. She was gripping her knife so tightly that her knuckles were white.

Gunshots rang through the air as the creatures fired at her. She just sighed, not caring very much at the moment. Still, she ran until the bullets stopped and there were no more threats in the area. She leaned against a wall, slowly sinking down to the ground and placing her hands on her knees.

"Damn it... Why did I have to go and leave him? We should have just made a run for it! He'd still be alive.." She quietly chided herself.

The sounds of footsteps caused her to go quiet. She looked around in an attempt to find the source of the noise, but decided it was better to get up to go see.

She stood and walked over to the edge of the building she was behind, poking her head out to see two men, atleast six foot.

The blue glow of their armor told her they were Gears, and she sighed with relief as she walked out into the open.

The first one looked up, "Woah, what the hell?" He was about to grab his Retro Lancer when the other Gear stopped him.

"Wait, it's a human," he looked at Angelina. "hey, kid! Where's your family? And why are you out here alone?" He called to her as he approached.

"Um, my family is dead... Well my father may be alive, but he's a Gear.. So he's not here right now. I'm out here alone, because I took off running.. after nearly getting my head blown off." She sighed, looking down at the ground.

"State your name?"

"Oh, I'm Angelina Dunnery.."

"Oh.. Well, we can't leave the poor kid out here," the one who was originally going to shoot her said. "I guess she'll have to come with us. We're heading back to base anyway."

Angelina looked up at the two soldiers. Guess she would be going with them.

Angelina sat in the KR, remembering that moment. She wondered what happened to those two soldiers.

"Hey, Angie!" Alex yelled over the chopper.

"Hmm?" Angelina looked up at Alex.

"You been staring at that picture since we took off. C'mon, what is it?" She said, pointing to the picture in the womans hand.

"My brother." Was all she said.

"Oh." Alex looked away for a moment. "Uh, hey Dylan?"

"Yeah?" Her brother looked over at her.

"Don't blow this operation." Was all that Alex replied with. No other words were needed, anyway.

"Yeah, I got it. I won't."

"Good."

Angelina sat and wondered how much longer the choppper would take to get there. She was getting impatient.

She sat back and closed her eyes.

She listened to the sounds of her teammates shout as the enemy got closer. She was trying to reload her Lancer Mark II as fast as she could, but the damn thing jammed. The sudden yell of pain from her squadmate, Molly, caught her attention. She looked over and her eyes widened with shock.

A drone stood over her with its Hammerburst pointed at her head, her slumped against a car with blood leaking from her stomach. Her heart sunk.

"Molly!" Sergeant Jackson shouted.

The drone chuckled before pulling the trigger on the Hammerburst. Molly's body fell to the ground.

"Shit, shit, shit! We're fucked!" Another of her squadmates, Larry, yelled as he tried to scramble away from a Grenadier who had managed to get the drop on him.

Angelina continued to struggle with reloading. After a few more moments of desperate attempts, she slotted the magizine in properly and pointed her Lancer at the Grenadier that was standing over Larry. She aimed at its head and fired a few rounds, successfully blowing its heads to bits. Afterwards, she stood from her cover and ran towards Larry, sitting next to him and checking for injury.

His arm was fucked up, but he'd live.

She pulled him to cover and then turned back to the fight, firing at a few Locust that were assualting Alex and Dylan. They fell to the ground and she swapped targets, now firing at a Boomer that had snuck up on the squad.

"Shit, out of ammo!" Sergeant Jackson yelled, swapping to his Longshot. He popped a few Locust in the head.

Angelina managed to kill the Boomer, ducking back behind cover to reload. A grenade landed next to her and she dodged it, but her sqaudmate hadn't moved in time. It blew up, taking Larry, who was right beside it, with it.

"Larry! God damnit!" Angelina shouted in frustration as she killed the Locust that had thrown the grenade.

Alex ran over to Angelina and grabbed her arm, pulling her out of the area she had been in and over to cover. Angelina looked over at her for a few seconds before returning to the fight.

It continued for a good ten minutes, Angelina watching two more members of her squad be slaughtered by the Locust in the process.

"Boom!"

As soon as the vouce reached her ears she froze, looking around to see where it had fired its Boomshot at. She saw exactly where it had landed a few seconds later. At Sergeant Jackson's feet. He didn't have enough time to react before it went off.

The rest of what happened was a blur; she can only remember reaching the King Raven and evacuating. After grabbing her fallen squadmates tags, that is.

Yeahh, so... I thought I would do a part where it shows what happened with the rest of her squad.

Anyways, sorry if it didn't make sense. I still hope you enjoyed, chapter three is already in progress, but no promises about how long until I post it.

See you next chapter!

P.S: Sorry the chapter is short.
