Winter walked into the infirmary and glared at the remaining Ace Ops.
"Special Operative Schnee?" Clover asked.
"Did you know what Harriet was doing to Marrow?" she asked in a voice cold enough to freeze salt water.
"What was Harriet doing To Marrow?" Vine asked.
"You call yourselves the best Hunters Atlas has!" Winter snapped. "Pathetic!"
"Ma'am please," Clover said. "We're not sure what you're talking about."
"AND THAT'S THE PROBLEM!" Winter roared. "You we're so busy being "Atlas's best Hunters" that you didn't realize Harriet was blackmailing Marrow!"
"She what!" The Three remaining Ace Ops shouted in outrage.
"Don't start!" Winter snapped. "As of right now you three are suspended pending an investigation!"
With that Winter Left spinning around so fast she snapped her coat, leaving the Ace Ops to their thoughts.
Todd Manor
Weiss woke up to see that Jason was gone. She got up and looked around their room before leaving.
She walked through the manor, checking everywhere until she reached the armory where she flung Jason lying face down on the ground. "Jason?" She asked.
Jason didn't move at first, but slowly pushed himself up.
Weiss saw a slash going from his stomach to his shoulder close up as he stood. "What happened?" She asked.
"Winter was less than satisfied with events with Joker."
"As of That was your fault!"
"I could have handled it better."
"How? By shadowing me?"
Jason created a Shadow Clone that walked over to Weiss and Disappeared into her Shadow. "Like That."
"Jason. You don't have to do that."
Jason was about to say something when Viridian walked in.
"Oh." Viridian Said. "Yer back."
"Yes." Jason Said. "I want you to know something."
"Wha'?"
"I'm sorry."
"wha' fer?"
"For coming into your shop that day, for making outlandish requests, for... well for being broken. If I had a chance to redo everything, I wouldn't have darkened your doorstep that day. I would leave you alone."
"Lad. Why're ye Sayin' that shite?"
"Because. I had some time to think while I was gone, and I've been a shit person for a while. I'm going to make up for that now."
"Ye were a scared kid back then. Ye weren't a bother. If anythin', I enjoyed makin' those weapons, an' talkin' weapon theory wit' ya."
"I know, but I also caused you a lot of stress. I just want you to know that I apologize for that."
"Why're ye apologizin' fer bein' a scared li'l kid? I mean yeah ya needed some therapy, but ye weren't tha' bad."
Jason thought about it and decided that if he could redo everything that he would leave Viridian alone, but that he would go to therapy. He might even start therapy when whatever... this was, was over.
Jason looked at Viridian and noticed something was off about him. "You okay?"
"Yeah. O'course I am. Why wouldn' I be?"
"You just seem to be... off somehow. Almost like a..."
"I'm fine lad!" Viridian snapped. "Now, please Leave! I have work ta do."
Jason clicked his tongue, but Viridian swung 'Boom-N-Doom' at him, sending him flying out of the room.
"What was That for!" Weiss asked.
"Leave! Now!" Viridian yelled.
"You've been corrupted." Jason said. "You found a cursed weapon. Geoff said that cursed weapons change their wielders."
"I don' know wha' yer on about, but no! I Don' have a cursed weapon!"
Jason activated the All Blades, and they sprang to life, Blood Orange Katana's burning in the air. "Viridian. Please." He begged. "I'm begging you. Let whatever the cursed weapon is go. It's corrupted you."
"Nay, it hasn'! Ye just wan' my precious weapon!"
"Weiss." Jason said. "Get out of here. Lock the armory behind us."
"But..."
"No buts! Please. I don't want you getting..."
Viridian launched himself at Weiss, wielding a blood red blade with a golden handle in his right hand.
Weiss was pulled out of the way by Jason's shadow and pushed outside.
Jason ran over and brought the All Blade down on Viridian who rolled out of the way and back into the Armory, Jason following him.
Viridian jumped up onto the work table and launched himself at Jason.
Jason blocked, but Viridian used his Semblance to push Jason to the ground.
Jason tried moving, but Viridian's Semblance too much and he crumpled to the floor.
Viridian moved over and sneered down at Jason. "I lied. I Never liked ye. Always coming around wit yer questions an' requests. Never leavin' me alone. Always naggin' an' bein' an annoyin' shite! Fuck! Why couldn' ye have jus' died on those streets!"
Jason stared up at Viridian in horror. This wasn't Viridian. He didn't know who this was, but it wasn't Viridian.
"Well... Ima fix tha' mistake tha' Yer daft Uncle couldn'! It may be nine years too late, but better late than never." Viridian raised the Blood Red Blade and brought it down on Jason's head only for Jason to disappear into shadows.
"Viridian. I know that's not you!" Jason said. "I know it's the corruption. Don't worry. I'll have you out of there in a second."
"Tha's w'ere yer wrong. T'is is th' real me!"
"No, and I'll prove it!" Jason swung the All Blades at Viridian with all his strength.
Viridian blocked with his blade. The blood blade severed where Jason cut it with the All Blades and fell to the floor as blood with veins of black evaporating from the blood.
The Blood Blade grew back, and Viridian grew a shade paler.
"Viridian Stop!" Jason yelled. "Whatever You're doing it's using your blood! You're killing yourself!"
"Maybe I would rather die than put up with ye and yer drama another day!"
"I know I was fucked up back then, and I'm sorry that I put that on you, but please! Don't kill yourself!"
"THEN DIE!" Viridian roared, launching himself at Jason.
Jason let go of the All Blades, holding his hands at his sides. He watched the smile on Viridian's face go from ferocious to feral. He really wanted him dead. Viridian really wanted him to die. Well, he'd give it to him.
Viridian Sunk the blood blade into Jason's chest, landing on Jason, knocking him to the floor. He began swinging the blade like a whirling dervish until Jason was a bloody mess on the floor. He smiled, but the longer he looked at the mess the worse he began feeling. "Jason?" He asked. "Oh Gods! JASON! LAD! WAKE UP LAD! WAKE UP!" He looked at the Golden Cross in his hand and threw it into his smelter. He looked at his hands and saw pale flesh with blood on his right hand. "Oh Gods." He stumbled over to Jason and tried picking him up in numb hands. He ripped his top off to see dozens of cuts along his arms and torso. He looked at the most recent cut to see blood oozing out.
He didn't have long and needed to stop the bleeding fast. Why wasn't his Aura activating? Reaching for the tongs he held his hand steady and pressed the white hot metal into the cut, cauterizing the wound with an agonized scream.
Weiss ran to the others. "Help!" She begged. "It's Jason and Viridian! They're fighting! Jason says that Viridian is corrupted!"
The group followed Weiss back to the Armory where they heard someone scream in pain.
Pulling the doors open they found Jason lying in a mess on the ground and Viridian with a pair of blacksmith tong's pressed into a cut on his arm.
"Heal them!" Weiss yelled.
Jaune ran into the oppressive heat of the Armory and held onto Viridian's shoulder only to feel... nothing. He couldn't feel his Aura. He tried again only to feel the same thing. He touched Jason and began healing him, his Semblance blending in with the blood on the floor.
"What happened!" Loki demanded.
Viridian stayed quiet.
"WHAT HAPPENED VIRIDIAN!"
"I killed Jason." Viridian said quietly.
"WHY!"
"I don't know. I blacked out an' when I came back ta consciousness... Jason was dead."
"LOOK AT ME!"
Viridian turned around to show his scar covered torso.
"What happened?"
"I dunno lass. All I know is tha' I'd black out an' when I came back, I had another cut."
Loki looked at Jason's body being healed by Jaune. She saw bone, muscle, and tissue knit itself back together. "The only reason you're still alive is because Jason is! That's the only reason!"
"No!" Weiss shouted. "He was corrupted! It wasn't his fault!"
"How?"
"Th' Cross I t'rew in my Smelter." Viridian said meekly.
Coral walked over to the Smelter and looked inside. "It's still in one piece and sitting on top."
"They can't be destroyed." Blake said. "At least according to Obsidian."
"No." Obsidian said, taking Sun over. "A Cursed Object has safeguards to keep itself from being destroyed. That one is keeping itself from being put into the smelter. The only way to destroy it is to use a powerful soul attack."
"We need to use our Semblance to destroy it?" Coral asked.
"Or another soul attack... like the Alpha's All Blades."
"What about Jaune?" Pyrrha asked. "His Semblance is Aura Augmentation. Could that work?"
"I suppose so. Or at the very least it couldn't hurt."
"I don't think I can leave Jason right now." Jaune said.
"He has a healing factor. I don't think that he'll be upset if you try to destroy an evil cursed weapon that corrupted his Pseudo-uncle." Coral said. "You're up slugger."
Jaune got up and walked over to the shelter to see a cross sitting on the molten metal. He coated his arm in Aura and reached into the smelter.
The cross moved away from his Aura, as if cowering.
"Hey Pyrrha, will your Semblance work on this?" Jaune asked.
Pyrrha walked over and used her Semblance on the Cross only for it to fail. "I'm sorry, but my Semblance won't work on it."
Coral picked up the Blacksmith tongs and picked the Cross up before dunking it in the Liquid Metal. Pulling the cross out, she found it in perfect condition. She handed it to Jaune who wrapped his Aura around it causing the Cross to pulsate as if it were writhing in pain.
Darkness began seeping out of the cross and spilling onto the floor where it evaporated.
When Jaune was done with the cross it looked rusted and tarnished. He dropped it and what was left of the cross shattered.
Viridian tensed as he was overcome with the worst pain he'd ever experienced. Jaune ran over and touched his shoulder activating his Aura causing him to writhe as the corruption inside him struggled to get away from the purifying effect of Jaune's Semblance but tried staying inside Viridian's body.
Black ooze began pouring out of Viridian's pores, causing Viridian to fall to his hands and knees from the pain, and evaporate when they hit the floor.
Viridian wanted to die. The pain he was going through was so intense that he wanted to die, but if he died, he would let that piece of shit weapon win, and he refused to let it win. He grit his teeth and roared out in pain as the corruption leaked from his body like slime from a terrifying horror monster. He slammed his fist into the ground in an effort to distract himself from the pain.
After what felt like hours Viridian passed out in sweet, numb relief.
Atlas Academy.
Winter knocked on General Ironwood's door and walked in when he called her in.
"General. I have news about the Ace Ops."
"What is it Special Operative Schnee?"
"Harriet is dead; from what I gather Mr. Patrick did it himself."
"Surprising, but not unexpected."
"Sir?"
"The animosity between Ace Operative Brie and Engineer Patrick was well known. Brie hated Patrick for destroying the Brothel that she used for... entertainment and Patrick hated Brie for tormenting the Faunus, especially his Assistant."
"What do you think would have triggered Mister Patrick so much that he would have killed Harriet?"
"My first guess would be that she killed his Assistant."
"She WHAT!" Winter asked, horrified.
"As I Said, that would be my first guess. My second would be, it was self-defense. Still, I'm impressed that he survived. Her Semblance gives... gave her an advantage against most opponents. How do you think she would have fared against Mr. Todd?"
"Personally sir, I feel that Mr. Todd would bait her into a trap and then make her pay dearly for her lapse in judgement."
"Perhaps. Mr. Todd has shown critical thinking skills alongside his skills for great violence."
"Is there a reason for this sir?"
"Not particularly," Ironwood Said. "But I would like to talk to Mister Patrick as soon as possible."
"I'll let him know sir."
"Thank you Schnee."
Winter saluted and left the room, the General seemed to be different today.
She shook her head and headed back to Todd manor.
Todd Manor
Velvet stopped at Geoff's door. She knocked and waited. When she didn't hear a response, she opened the door a crack and saw that Geoff hadn't moved from the spot on his bed. "Geoff?" she asked tentatively.
Geoff didn't even acknowledge that she was there.
'Just leave him be,' The Bounty Hunter Said. 'Talking a Life isn't easy. You've been forced to take lives to the point that it's more or less easy for you, but Geoff? Geoff hasn't had to take a life, and he's been a pacifist for most of his life. If he were locked in combat and killing were his only way out then there might have been a different outcome, but no. He killed someone and is now trying to cope with it. Give him time."
'Okay.' Velvet thought before taking a step towards Geoff.
'Stop!'
'What's wrong?'
'He could be reliving the fight with Harriet. He might hurt you if you touch him, then what would he do? He might actually slip further into his depression and possibly kill himself. Do you want that?'
'No.'
'Then unfortunately you have to leave him alone until he comes out of it.'
Velvet looked sad before leaving with an almost whispered: "I love you."
Jason woke up on the floor of the Armory for the second time that day. "Ugh. I've got to stop dying," He groaned. "I don't think it's healthy."
"Jason," Weiss asked. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, but I'm going to be sore for a while. How's Viridian?"
"Lucky You're still alive." Loki said.
"Oh. So, you gave him a Winter Talk."
"A Winter Talk?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah. Winter told me that if you had died then she would have killed me until I stayed dead."
"Why!?"
"Because of Joker."
Weiss went pale before composing herself.
"So, how's Viridian?"
"He almost died," Jaune said. "When I destroyed the Cross, black ooze poured from his pores, and he almost died, but luckily I was able to amplify his aura in time to save him."
"Thanks Jaune. How is everyone else? I don't think we've had a chance to talk about that since we got back."
"Geoff is catatonic after losing Awena," Coral began. "Jaune is struggling with Montgomery's death, Viridian and you are on thin fucking ice with certain people, Coco and Tyra are overprotective as hell with Pico, and Coco is on the verge of having a meltdown over losing Fox. Velvet is worried about Geoff, Weiss is worried about you and struggling with how she feels about Winter, Loki wants to murder Viridian; also her Semblance now lasts until she chooses to let whoever's trapped under its influence go, Winter wants to murder you, Ruby's worried and Oscar is trying to make her less worried, Yang and Scott are beating the shit out of each other to try and relieve some stress, and everyone else is just dealing with the stress of the last... four-ish months."
Jason sat up and looked around. His friends and family were suffering, and he had no idea what to do. He stood up and walked through the manor, our back and saw the cemetery.
Walking over to Cliff's headstone he dropped to his knees and let himself mourn the loss of his father figure. When he finished, he looked at the headstone. "I'm sorry," he said in a broken voice. "I caused you so much pain and suffering, and I need advice. How did you help me? I don't know how to help the others. What do I do?"
"Perhaps..." Ozpin Said. "...don't try to take on their burdens by yourself. You weren't alone, even when you felt alone. Take the moments of happiness that you can get. It's not fair that you and your friends had to grow up so fast, but life isn't fair. Take this time to just be happy."
"How?"
"I've found that hot chocolate, popcorn, and some neutral movies are best for times like these." Ozpin said before giving control back to Oscar. "Oh. Hello."
"Hey Oscar."
"Hey."
Jason looked at the other graves.
Mercury Black
Pico's mom
Awena Patrick
Fox Alistair
He grit his teeth too many people had died already. This needed to stop, but first... "Tell everyone to gather in the game room," Jason told Oscar. "We're taking time to unwind. We're locking everything down for a week and just relaxing."
"Okay."
Weiss walked out and took Jason's hand in hers before walking upstairs so they could shower.
They showered, took care of Weiss's hair, and dressed in a new outfit.
Weiss wore a pair of ice blue designer jeans with an icy white tank top that she pulled a white cardigan over.
Jason wore a pair of black designer jeans with a pair of black shoes with white soles. He pulled a red designer hoodie over his muscle shirt.
Weiss looked at her white boots. "Do we really need to wear shoes?" She asked.
"Put them in your shadow. If you need them, you have them. Same with 'Myrtenaster'."
Weiss placed her boots and 'Myrtenaster' in her shadow.
They held hands, intertwining fingers as they walked through the house towards the game room. They saw the others waiting in the game room.
"Wow." Ruby said. "You guys look great."
"Thank you." Weiss said.
"So." Yang said. "What's the Plan?"
"We aren't doing anything but lazing around the manor for a week." Jason said.
"I'm game." Gale said.
"Ooh, Ooh," Ruby Said. "Let's watch Dog Rain!"
"NOO!" Weiss, Blake, and Yang yelled.
"Why not?"
"Because," Blake Said. "You watched That on repeat at Beacon."
"You watched it on repeat at home!" Yang shouted.
"You watched it on repeat in classes!" Weiss said.
Tai, Summer, and Qrow looked at Ruby.
Jason just watched in amusement before he walked over to the T.V. And turned on the classical literature channel and stopped on a showing of "Much Ado About Nothing." By Wilhelm Shakespeare.
He increased the volume by one until everyone was paying attention. "We'll each take turns picking something to watch. We'll stay in the game room for the majority of the week with the exception of food, using the bathroom, taking personal time, and answering the door. To ease the Monotony, we can talk about the other cultural weddings we missed in Argus. Sound fair?"
The group more or less agreed.
"Good. Now watch this play."
Everyone quieted down and watched as Divine Tenné's and Calamime Taupe's characters fell in love over three acts.
Winter walked up to Todd Manor and knocked on the door. She waited a few moments before knocking again.
The door opened and Winter looked into the face of Qrow Branwen.
"Oh. Hey Snow Queen. Come on in."
"You're Not worried I'm Here to arrest anyone?"
"Honestly, I'd like to see you try. These kids have been through more than most Hunters I know, and that's saying something."
Winter looked at Qrow and saw his eyes. He wasn't the same person he was when they fought at Beacon. She walked in after Qrow who led her to the game room where she stopped abruptly. All of the students were asleep while "101 Corgis" played in the background.
She looked around and saw grey-white hair nestled into a figure with a red hood covering their head down to their nose.
Whitley was sleeping with a girl on either side of him. One was a Pangolin Faunus and the other appeared Human, but one never knew.
"Where is Geoffrey Patrick?" Winter asked softly.
"Unavailable," Qrow said. "He's dealing with the fact that he killed someone."
"So, he really did kill Harriet?"
"Yes."
"When do you think that he'll be able to meet for a debriefing?"
"Give him a month or two."
"That's too long."
"He's not a killer. Let him come to terms with it."
"Over two months?"
"He's not a soldier like you. What was your reaction to your first kill?"
Winter flashed back to graduating from Atlas Academy. She walked through the streets of Atlas. As she walked, she heard someone yell.
"STOP! THIEF!"
A Faunus ran through the streets towards her. Her sword flashed and the Faunus head separated from its body. She looked down and felt sick. She'd just killed someone. Why hadn't their Aura activated?
"Oh. Thank you, Petty Officer Schnee," The shopkeeper said. "Don't worry about the Faunus. It's just a filthy animal."
Winter looked from the Faunus to the shop keep. She wasn't sure why she felt this way. Wasn't she supposed to do the right thing? Did she do the right thing?
"Well?" Qrow asked. "Do you? A Hunters first kill, actual kill, Human or Faunus is traumatizing. Then there's the fact that he's not us."
"Yes." Winter said. "I know. I'll tell General Ironwood."
"Thanks." Qrow said. "Want to watch a movie or two?" He asked as the Credits to '101 Corgi's' played out and the next movie started.
The next movie was called "Up", and it was about a man who grew up in Mantle, married, and lost his wife. His Wife had always wanted to travel to Vacuo, so planned to get to Vacuo.
"No." Winter said. "Thank you, but no. I need to get back to General Ironwood."
"Okay." Qrow said.
Winter looked at Qrow. He'd changed so much since the last time she'd met him. What had they all gone through to end up like this?
With that Winter nodded and left.
Qrow sat down next to Summer, taking her hand in his and sat down to watch the movie.
Geoff kept replaying the events since getting to Atlas all the way until he killed Harriet.
He relived that time and time again. He watched Harriet die over and over. The dead look in her eyes as he exploded, destroying her body.
He wished that he could take it back. He shouldn't have killed her. He should have let Justice reign supreme. Why did he get so mad?
He saw Awena and Fox lying on the ground, dead, and he was reminded of why he killed Harriet, but he was brought back to the pain he'd caused.
Living in a loop of the pain he'd caused, he couldn't find a way out of the loop.
Chibi Geoff
The Chibi Geoff That lived in Geoff's head looked at the monitors. They were filled with Geoff's guilt of killing Harriet.
Chibi Geoff ran over to the "In Case of Emergency" lever. He pulled it and the monitors went black. Now he could work to put Geoff back together.
Geoff suddenly felt his brain shutting down. He was still awake, but he wasn't able to remember why he wasn't waking up.
He hoped that he would wake up soon. He was starting to get hungry.
Winter walked up to General Ironwood's office and knocked.
"Come." Ironwood Said.
Winter walked in. "General. I regret to inform you that Mister Patrick is unavailable."
"When will he be Available?" Ironwood asked crossly.
"I was told two months."
"Is there a good reason?"
"I'm told it's medical in nature." Winter half lied.
"Very well." Ironwood Said harshly. "You're free to leave."
Winter saluted and left.
Geoff opened his eyes. He didn't feel great, but he didn't really feel much need to move.
There was a knock on the door and Velvet looked inside. She walked over and checked on him.
He knew that she was talking to him, but the words wouldn't form in a way that he understood.
She helped him up and felt that he'd soiled himself, but he couldn't really bring himself to care.
Velvet walked him into his bathroom, began filling his tub, and stripped him down before his pacing him in the tub.
She took his clothes and left. He didn't know how long she was gone, but she came back and bathed him.
He felt nothing, physically or emotionally, and he wasn't sure how long the bath lasted, but eventually it was over, and he was helped out of the bath and toweled off before Velvet helped him dress and took him to her room.
Velvet felt tears stream down her cheeks at the sight of Geoff. She had never seen him in such a state, and it broke her heart. She had watched him break, but in the end, she couldn't stop it from happening... that was a lie. She could have killed Harriet first so that Geoff didn't have to.
She regretted not killing Harriet now that Geoff was paying the price.
Geoff felt discomfort in his bladder and walked into the bathroom. He took care of business and walked back to bed.
He didn't know how long it was but eventually he felt discomfort in his bowels and took care of business again.
After a while he felt hungry and walked downstairs to get something to eat and drink.
He didn't know how long he was like this, but eventually he woke up and realized that he was in Velvet's bed. "M'rnin' lass," he said.
"Geoff?!" Velvet jumped up. "GEOFF!" She yelled when she saw that he was actually awake rather than just functioning. "You're awake!"
"Aye. Ahm Awake lass." Geoff said in a thick accent from his lack of speaking.
"Are you hungry? Thirsty?"
"Ah could eat."
"What's wrong with your voice?"
"Ah haven't spoken in a while. Ahm talkin' in mah natural accent radder Dan mah practice one. Once ah've talked fer a while mah regular accent'll come back."
"Oh. Okay."
Velvet got out of bed and walked to the closet, dressing in an outfit that Coco had bought her from Rubé.
She wore a pair of knee high boots with red stockings. She was wearing a white battle dress with a salmon tactical dress over that. On her wrists she wore elbow length, fingerless gloves. A red and black mini cloak hung around her neck.
Chibi Geoff
Chibi Geoff looked at Velvet and felt a part of himself stand at attention. He covered himself and ran towards the bathroom.
Geoff pushed those thoughts of Velvet away. He got up but realized that another part of him was also up.
Velvet blushed when she saw Geoff's state of arousal. On the one hand she should be flattered to have that effect on Geoff, but on the other hand, they weren't married and shouldn't be doing things like that yet.
"I'll be back lass," Geoff said, heading for his room.
Velvet blushed. She wanted to be that way with Geoff, but she didn't think that she could. Not until they were married.
Geoff ran to his room and got dressed. How long had he been out? He needed to get to General Ironwood and take responsibility for Harriet's death.
He left his room, heading for the front door.
"Hey," Qrow said. "Where are you going?"
"I need to take responsibility for Harriet's death."
"Kid. You were out of commission for a week. Give yourself time to heal."
"But..."
"No buts."
"He's right." Jason Said. "Your so fucking tense that you're going to break if you don't rest. Talking to Ironwood will only break you."
"But..." Geoff bowed his head. "...I don't know what ta do."
"What's wrong kid?" Qrow asked.
"I'm not... I've been... I can't... I Just..."
"Geoff has been under tremendous pressure since you left." Velvet said, coming down the steps, wearing a new battle dress. "It's no Wonder he snapped."
"Is it true?" Jason asked.
Geoff nodded.
"Let me take over." Jason Said. "Give me control over Atlas again. Let me run things now. Go back to being the guy who builds gear for his brother's."
Geoff shook his head. "I can't put this burden on another person."
"I've been training for this since I was six. I can take this burden from you. Give me your burden." Jason held out his hand.
Geoff looked at his hand and held it forward before pulling back. He reached forward, and slammed his hand into Jason's before he could change his mind.
As soon as Jason and Geoff shook hands, Geoff fell to the floor as if a great burden had been taken from him and passed out.
Qrow looked at Jason and could see the difference between Jason before and now. His eyes were just a little tighter, and his body seemed just a little more tense.
Weiss came up from behind him and hugged him from behind. "What's wrong?" She asked. "You're so tense."
"He took Geoff's burden from him." Velvet said relieved that Geoff wasn't burdened by Atlas anymore.
Weiss buried her face in Jason's back. 'Why do you have to be so damned selfless!' She thought.
Jason pulled Weiss in front of him and hugged her, placing his chin on her head.
Weiss hugged Jason, and felt tears sting the corners of her eyes.
"We need to prepare." Jason said. "We need to train, forge, and gather. Let's get ready for what's coming."
"What is coming?" Velvet, Weiss, and Qrow asked.
"War."
