Jake's face paled rapidly, and Persia couldn't help but notice the cruel smirk that played across Zoë's lips.
She sighed lightly as she motioned for Zoë to take the lead. Some things truly never change.

Artemis was sulking in her own cabin with Thalia when a soft knock sounded on the door.
"Is it Persia?" Thalia asked hopefully as she leapt up to answer the door.
Briskly walking towards the door, she flung it open and was ready to hug Per-
Zoë yelped in shock. "Milady! What-"
"Sorry Zoë!" She yelped, seeing that it was Zoë at the door, her face turning slightly pink as she realized her mistake.
"Where's Persia?" She urgently asked, before seeing Her love.
"PERSIA!"
Joy and happiness exploded within her, and she was ready to run down and hug the hades out of her for being safe-
Wait.
A male figure stood sandwiched bwteeen Zoë and Persia, head bowed, shoulders slumped.
He had messy black hair and pale blue eyes she hated all too well.
In a flash, her hunting knives were drawn as she pressed one against his privates and one under his chin. "Give me a reason why I shouldn't castrate you and cut you until you bleed to death."
He couldn't even whimper or yelp, instead stealing back with frightened, tear-filled eyes as he tried not to shake.
"Artemis!" Persia's soft yet urgent voice brought her out of her range, and she looked at her love, concerned. "Persia, I'll get rid of him-"
"NO!" Her love yelled quickly, before looking at her apologetically and muttering, "sorry arty…but no, don't do it yet. As much as I want to kill him for nearly assaulting me…he has a reason, a good reason for that…behavior. I understand why, maybe I'll forgive him, but I won't go soft. Let him state his case first, then you can decide on what to do."
Next to her, Zoë nodded in agreement. "He swore on the Styx that he would apologize too, so…"
Grudgingly, she nodded as she retracted her knives. Blood began to seep out of the point the knife dug into his chin, and he hurriedly wiped it away.
"Just because you to said to spare him, I will. You're lucky I have a nice lover and a former lieutenant that I trust."
He nodded frightfully.
"If I could have my way," she said, turning around midway up the stairs to send the most menacing glare she could into his eyes, "You'd be castrated and lying on the ground, bleeding to death and begging for a swift end, filthy male. Now move it!"
Her half-brother quickly scampered up the stairs.
"Pathetic," she muttered, before she walked inside as well.
She was so ready to castrate this male.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Artemis was livid after the apology. Angry at her father for using this boy, and angry at her mortal half brother for believing that his actions would get him what he wanted.
Idiotic males.
She was angry at her father for treating her like a sack of shit, spreading lies amongst greek demigods to sow distrust and fuel anger.
Was Ares somehow behind this too?
No matter though. Her father could be dealt with sometime later. She knew that someday, her father's crimes would catch up to him and all the gods would get their revenge.
Just…she didn't know when.
Or if Persia would even be alive when the time came.
Her father was hell-bent on separating them both after all. And he seemed to hold a personal vendetta against Uncle Poseidon's and Uncle Hades' kids….and now Aunt Hestia's.
Still, she shook the thoughts off. That could be worried about at a later stage.
Right now, there was a problem standing right in front of her.
She stared into Jake's pale blue eyes, which reflected the stripping of his connection to the heavens, as she began.
"Don't you think that wanting my father's love and adoration is a get out of jail free card-"
Jake cut her off.
"I'm not, milady." Jake said, his posture sagging yet his eyes full of confidence. "I'm ready to face my crimes. I'll take any punishment you wanted. It is my fault and my fault alone-"
"Hang on, hang on." Thalia said, interrupting Jake. "Your fault alone? I'm pretty sure you have a gang of demigods at your service."
"They-"
"-art at fault." A new voice cut in. All eyes turned to Zoë, who began speaking. "Whilst thee may have done it to gain love and adoration from thy father, thy henchmen did not. They seemed fame, glory and power. They art selfish beings, like most males. I hath witnessed thy actions and you simply seek simple values, and whilst thou might be greedy still, thou hath not fallen for the power in thy possession and I still hold slight amounts of respect to you. After all, Percy showed me that all males aren't bad. If you didn't have to do these deeds, you wouldn't. After all, you had the decency to apologize to Persia and milady."
Jake opened his mouth to speak, but she was frustrated. "Just take the hint, you idiotic boy! We will spare you, if Zoë and Persia both agree that you aren't a filthy male like the rest, but your followers will not. Some may have their own reasonings, or perhaps were forced to join. But none of them will be spared if they do not show remorse or regret in a genuine manner."
Jake hung his head.
"Jake." Persia's soft voice rang clearly in the room, and the demigod looked up in surprise. "I know how you feel. You think they are your friends, and don't deserve this. But..I know what true friendship feels like. They aren't your friends. Hey, just like your father, see you as a tool, a stepping stone to gain power and control over camp. If they had the chance, they would immediately betray you and sell you out without a second thought. Let Arty-I mean, Artemis deal with this. They deserve the punishment coming their way…but you don't."
She glared at Persia. "How can you defend this filthy male when he has nearly defiled you?"
"He did it…well, not uwillingly, but he woudln't have done it if not for his father's orders. I know I should hate him but…I can't. I get how it feels like to feel abandoned and unloved, Arty."
She remembered the weeks that Persia had endured in her camp when everyone shunned her.
"I do…well, I guess she has a reason to forgive you. But don't expect me to go light on you."
With that, she spun around and ordered Thalia to go on a mini hunt.
The hunters were about to have fun.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Hades was yelling at his skeleton servants again before he sensed demigod souls entering his domain.
Nine of them, to be precise.
Holding a hand to shut his servant up, he quickly did a scan on the newly arrivals and grinned sadisically.
"I guess Artemis sent them here for a reason…" He hushed as he realized their lack of privates and their badly marred faces.
Shooing his skeleton servants away, he snapped his fingers and a guard stepped up to him. "Prepare new punishments in the field of punishment," he ordered. "Nine punishments for Rapists, pathological liars and con artists combined."
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
The campers gathered in the amphitheatre as they awaited..something.
They didn't know what it was yet. They only knew that the goddess artemis had summoned them.
Some radical campers were busy muttering the words, "Traitor", "weak female" and "Absolutely useless goddess of man hating".
Most wisely kept their mouth shut.
It didn't take long for people to notice that Jake and most of his gang were missing.
Whispers began to spread in the amphitheatre, but it didn't take long for those whispers to be silenced as The hunters entered, with Artemis leading the girls in silver. Persia and Thalia were on the left and right of the goddess as she marched into the amphitheatre gracefully, light footsteps echoing off the walls as the hunters moved forwards.
Moving as a pack, campers could see how this group of immortal maidens posed a real threat to anything they came across.
"Campers." Artemis' voice rang out, her clear voice heard by every single camper, "I thank you all for gathering here as per my summoning today. The reason for this is because we have important information we'd like to share with all of you."
Motioning to Zoë, the former lieutenant of the hunt moved aside and pushed Jake forwards. He had a red handprint on his cheek, and the campers all gasped as chatter began to spread.
"Now, this news is going to be delivered by Jake himself. He has something to say to all of you, so listen up."
Nodding towards Persia and the hunters, they stepped back slightly and allowed Jake to take centre stage.
"Um…hello, everyone," he began, his gaze nervously dancing within the crowd, "I am here…I'm here to apologize to all of you."
Stunned silence ensued.
— — — — — — — — . — — — — — — — — —
(I'm not writing about Jake's crimes all over again. It's gonna look repetitive and boring…so, sorry about that.)
"…and I hope that all of you can forgive me for leading you all through this massive lie."
Jake sighed.
"I'm sorry."
Without so much as a glance, he turned back and walked over to Zoë, who led him away.
The amphitheatre was silent for a few moments while the dark, cloudy sky rumbled with angry thunder, before a flurry of whispers and yells broke out. Chief amongst them were the veterans and some of Nico's older supporters.
Chiron stamped his hoof down as the hunters patiently waited for the chatter to die down. "SILENCE!" He yelled, looking at the goddess of the hunt apologetically. "Midway, I am sorry for my camper's….interruptions."
"All is well chiron," she sighed, "It is to be expected."
Turning to the campers, she cleared her voice. "Campers, I understand that you all may be shocked after hearing what has happened. However, we bear more news."
Hushed whispers still occasionally rewatched her ears, but she ignored those. "Boys," she silently scoffed as she watched a few of Jake's old lackeys snigger and whisper at earth other. "I assure you, this news we bear is more important than whatever chit-chat you are having," she grounded out, staring pointedly at the three males who were whispering still.
That shut them up.
"Now, the first important piece of news. Queen Hera has been taken by force."
ANother explosion of chatter, this time from most of the campers. Some of her hunters also looked uneasy, with Thalia, Zoë and Persia in particular looking especially unnerved. She raised a hand to calm everyone down.
At the moment, we do not have further details. My hunt is assigned the duty to search for Our queen. However, Not all of us will do so, as some amongst our ranks are fresh recruits and I do not wish to risk my sister's lives in this dangerous task. Only a select few will accompany me. The remainder will remain at this camp. This then brings us another piece of news."
She looked at the veterans and some who didn't support Jake. "As of now, Nico Di Angelo has been reported as 'doing duties in the underworld'. However, that was a lie in order to cover up the truth. In reality, he has been missing for this entire duration of his supposed stay in his father's domain."
Will solace, a close friend of Nico, looked especially troubled at this news. "Milady-" he began, ignoring the attempts to have him shut up and sit down, "Do you have any idea on where Nico is?"
"Not at the moment. This is why we shall be searching for him while we carry out our task at hand. In the mean time," she raised a drachma, "If you have new intelligence to report, you can pass it over to my hunters or request Lady Iris to patch you to me, Thalia, Persia or Zoë. Now, You all are dismissed."
With that, the Amphitheatre dissolved into chaos once more as Campers began furiously talking to one another. The hunters walked off towards their cabin while some campers also departed. However, she, Thalia and Persia all walked out to the back, where Zoë stood guard over an apologetic and downcast jake.
"Milady." Zoë greeted her as she stepped forwards. SHe, Thalia and Zoë had decided on a punishment for Jake.
Persia objected to it.
Now, after some heated debate, they had finally settled on one 'punishment' Persia had agreed on. "Jake Martin," she began, "You have admitted to multiple serious offenses you have committed or had intentions to commit against me and my hunters. Normally, I would simply castrate you, turn you into a jackalope, she'd our hunting wolves after you, and be done with it. However, Persia here wished for you to avoid such a fate."
Jake's eyes widened, and he bowed his head at Persia in gratefulness. "Don't bow just punishment, though light, is still necessary. You did slander my goddess and my sisters in arms…I believe that you still deserve some form of punishment." Persia said as she rolled her eyes.
"To me, this feels like you're letting him off the hook."
"I hath to agree with my fair lady," Zoë said and Persia groaned.
"I already stated my reasonings! He seemed affection, family, and fatherly love. I cannot bring myself to condemn one who seeks such…simple and bare necessities to a terrible fate."
She sighed, but nodded. "Yes, yes, Now Jake Martin…Your punishment is to be turned into a girl and understand how what you wished to do can be deeply traumatizing and very immoral. Do not take this as Persia letting you go, Scot free. You will bear the humiliation-"
Persia elbowed her. Hard.
"What?" She asked, slightly irritated. "That wasn't the deal!" She hissed.
"Oh, alright….fine." Shaking her head, she turned to jake once more. "FIne. Jake Martin, Since you have lost all powers and lineage to the king of gods, my father, Persia here has offered that you join the hunt so we can provide you wish protection, a family, and more importantly, you can redeem yourself by serving the hunters and I. Jake Martin, Do you accept?"
He looked at her with wide eyes. "M-Milady, I cannot be more grateful-"
"Then so be it." Waving a hand over Jake's body, a bright silvery light enveloped him as she worked her magic. A split second later, the glow around Jake died down, and in his place stood a girl that looked somewhat similar to Thalia other than her softer features, wavy, long dark hair and slightly slimmer and shorter stature.
Jake stumbled, off-balance after his transformation, before straightening him-no, herself as she looked down at her new body.
"Now, Repeat after me," she said, jolting Jake out of her stupor, "I, Jake Martin, turn my back on the company of men, accept eternal maiden hood, and join the hunt."
Uttering her pledge, a bright silvery aura shone around Jake as she finished her pledge. She accepted it, and Persia smiled lightly. "Well…welcome to the hunt, I suppose. Though you'll be the servant of the hunt…I hope no one gives you a hard time."
Jake stared at Persia with wide eyes. "I-I honestly cannot thank you enough. I thought you wanted me dead, I was so prepared…"
"If I had my way you would," she interrupted, but Persia's annoyed glance stopped her from continuing. "I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Definitely other than those who prey on children of course…but you definitely do. You lacked a family, you lacked guidance, and any demigod would have done what you did just to be in your shoes. Hopefully…hopefully we can change you. Help you to be a better person, a new person."
She nodded. "Well, that settles it. Since you're a female now, you should pick a new name. We can't keep referring you as Jake when you're clearly someone else. Physically, at least."
Jake was silent for a while, before she spoke up. "Jack-Hm, Jacqueline would do. Jackie."
She nodded in approval. "Well, Jacqueline, welcome to the hunt…and this very watered down form of punishment."
Persia sighed, but didn't comment as they walked towards the cabin door, ready to announce their new recruit.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Persia, Zoë and Thalia, along with Naomi and Atlanta, stood at the base of Half-blood hill as they prepared to set off.
Jacqueline was also coming along.
Surprisingly, the hunt had forgiven Jacqueline-though some still held open hostility towards the girl.
She couldn't deny their reasoning. After all, she did try to rape her…even if it was just fulfilling her father's orders and not out of personal want or lust.
Their stay, initially meant to last less than an hour, had turned into one that lasted for nearly half a day thanks to Jake, now Jacqueline, and her pals. Still, Artemis wasn't that annoyed-after all, they had nowhere to start from. Their only hope was to comb every main or city with the hunters, as well as sending wildlife to scout out natural areas and have fate handle the rest.
"Do you think we could consult the oracle? Thalia thought, but Artemis shook her head. "We don't go on quests, thalia. If we received a quest, it would belong to a camper-"
And it was at that moment Rachel came running over the top of the hill.
"Rachel?" She asked, starting up the hill, but immediately faltered seeing the panic in Rachel's eyes. "Red, what's wrong-"
Before she could realize what Rachel's sudden appearance meant, a vice-like grip gripped her shoulders as green mist pooled out all around Rachel and her eyes glowed an eerie green. She winced, but then Rachel-rather, someone spoke, using Rachel's body as a median.
It wasn't the oracle's scratchy voice, that's for sure.
GRAND CANYON. HE WILL BE THERE. YOU WILL HAVE YOUR ANSWERS FROM THE BOY WITH ONE SHOE.
The hunters all were taken aback by the voice, but Artemis apparently knew what was happened. "Q-queen Hera."
"WHAT?" Thalia yelped, but Persia's shoulders began to throb in pain. A wave of power rolled off Rachel, before she and Rachel both doubled over in pain.
A vision forced itself into her mind as she fairly heard words spoke in in an urgent tone. A shoddy brick house, walls sagging, the red brick color fading, with a wolf standing in front of the entrance.
The wolf had an auburn coat of fur and sharp silver eyes.
"-sia! PERSIA! Are you okay, Persia!"
She suddenly realized that she was lying face-down on the grass, with Rachel knocked out cold next to her.
She mustered a groan.
Immediately, Artemis and Thalia were on her, with Zoë following close behind. "Persia, persia, what happened? Rachel…did she show you something?"
"Yeah. I…she showed me something. There's this building…it's made from bricks, red bricks, but it looks Soddy and burnt. And then there's this…wolf. Auburn hair, silvery eyes."
She didn't notice Artemis' wide eyes as she spoke, as she closed her eyes and groaned, allowing her body to rest in Thalia's embrace.
"Persia," Thalia asked, "are you alright?"
"Maybe," she said, before groaning. "Who knew prophetic visions can be this draining? Ugh…fuck, my head feels like it's melting right now. This sucks."
Campers gathered around the group as apollo kids pushed past to see the commotion, but Persia weakly waved them off and stood up.
"Artemis, we have to go. Campers, bring a fast means of transport with you. We might have found nico…"
"Where is he?" Campers clamored to ask, and Artemis raised her hands to silence them.
"The Grand Canyon. So, we better move fast, or we're losing him."
Before the hunters set off though, she turned back and added a few clues, "Look out for the guy with one shoe. The voice said he had answers."
"Oh, also, take care of Rachel, will you?"
With that, the 7 maidens sprinted down half-blood hill, towards the forest. Hints of silver flashed between the dim trees, but those too soon vanished as the hunters raced towards the Grand Canyon.
"Assemble a team," Malcom called out, "We're moving out to fetch them. Butch, you're the best Pegasus rider we've had since Silena and P-percy. Go fetch two and hook them up to the flying chariot from last year. We're moving out."
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Thalia panted as she wiped beads of sweat off her brow.
The parkas the hunters wore radiated coolness to chill their heated bodies as they stopped in Monongahela national forest for the night. The sun was already going down, but it was still stuffy and hot outside.
The hunters were lucky that their parkas had magical thermal properties.
"Hunters, set camp for the night." She heard Artemis' order, so she absentmindedly grabbed the lieutenant's tent and threw it on the ground next to her lady's, watching as it expanded into a large, silver tent.
"Milady, how long do you reckon we have?" She heard Persia ask in an urgent tone, and she listened in as she slowly unzipped the tent flap. "That…I do not know. I-"
"Milady!" A new voice caught their attention, and All three turned to see an iris message floating in the air. "Camp just got new information-apparently wer have demigods in Arizona. Two powerful demigods, unknown parentage, one male and the other one female, but neither of them reek of death. We don't know what's going on, but it seems like that they are somehow connected to this."
"Who's the satyr assigned to them?" Persia asked, and the hunter, Janice, who had initiated the iris message replied, "Gleeson Hedge."
"Coach Hedge?"
"Yeah, I guess he goes by that name too."
"Alright, thank you." Artemis said, and Janice bowed slightly. "If you have any updates, keep me posted."
"Yes, Milady," Janice said, before the Iris message ended.
"Well, we'll have to get information from that satyr. "Persia, are you okay with summoning a small rainbow for me?"
"No problem, Arty."
She walked forwards as Persia concentrated. A small mist formed in front of the trio, and Artemis smiled at her before turning to Persia. "Thanks, love."
Persia grinned back.
"Iris, show me Gleeson Hedge, satyr," her goddess commanded as a golden drachma sailed through the air and into the rainbow. Disappearing into the mist, an image of a satyr leaning against a tree trunk came into view.
"Lady Artemis?" Hedge said, pushing himself off the trunk. "Indeed, Gleeson hedge. Now, I believe you've found two important demigods?"
"Yes, milady. Incredibly powerful, though one's scent is lesser compared to most others. Could be a child of a minor god or Aphrodite, but I am unsure. One scrawny latino, curly brown hair and dark eyes, loves tinkering, and one Cherokee, fit, light brown hair, multicoloured eyes, choppy hairstyle, wears a feather in it."
Persia's brow furrowed slightly, but didn't speak as she continued to listen to Gleeson.
"Very well. If there's any new developments, let me know." Artemis said, and Gleeson Hedge promptly bowed before the message was ended.
"So, two powerful demigods. Could it be related to the prophecy?" The goddess asked both her and Persia, but she was confused.
"The newest prophecy, milady?" She had heard of it, as Persia had told her in private. Artemis had also revealed it to the hunt, but no one knew what it really meant.
"Yes, that one. Could these two be a part pf the nine that were mentioned?"
"It very well could," Persia said, thinking. "The prophecy has already started, and though I don't know when things will unfold…it will be related somehow. Powerful demigods don't just randomly pop out of nowhere and not signify any sort of new world event."
"Maybe it has something to do with the prophecy…it does say nine demigods will join a call, and that foes will bear arms to the doors of death. It won't be that far of a stretch to imagine that these aren't demigods but demititans. Like Zoë. After all, the titans were our enemy, and if we follow their logic demititans would be against us." She said, and Persia nodded along with Artemis. However, the goddess still had a skeptical look.
"It's not entirely impossible…but highly unlikely. From what the past has told me, the titans do not care about this world. Not anymore. Instead, they'll do anything to regain power and topple us gods…at all costs. They have become selfish and corrupt…so I'd assume that cooperation is out of the question."
She nodded. "Well… what can we do now?"
"We'll wait. Arizona is at most days away if we keep pace. Camp half-blood should also be travelling across the states, but it may take them days to do it. We'll try our best to catch up to the demigods. For now, we set camp and rest."
"Yes, Milady." She nodded, and Persia gave Artemis a kiss on the lips before she set off towards Artemis' tent.
She noticed Artemis pull out a silver bracelet and rubbed her thumb over it after Persia entered the tent, a dreamy look on her face.
A pang of envy and jealousy shot through her, but she quickly suppressed it. Bidding a quick goodbye to her goddess, she returned to her tent and zipped the flap shut before flopping onto her bed.
She knew that keeping her own feelings inside her wasn't healthy.
She knew that she's have to come clean for things to work.
She didn't know how.
She loved Persia. She truly did, as she had come to realize over the weeks that passed, spending time with her, laughing with her, doing things with her, holding her as she cried at night…it gave her comfort, it gave her hope.
It made her realize her true feelings.
Still, she didn't know how to open up. She didn't know how to approach this issue.
She wanted to come clean. But she was scared of the repercussions, the reactions…everything.
What if Persia loved her back too?
She shook those thoughts off. It'd only cause her more trouble. Artemis would likely smite Persia as a two-faced disgrace to her name. Her…well, she'd probably just get exiled or sent away as a furry critter.
She didn't want those to happen.
She was happy with this secret being buried into the sands of time. She was happy to stick this somewhere no one would find and keep it a secret.
She didn't want to ruin anything and everything that there was within the camp.
Sighing, she shook her head and pushed herself off the bed.
"Why do things have to be so confusing, Aphrodite?"
In the back of her mind, a phrase that Zoë said popped into her mind.
"Love is the ruin of many, be it hero's, women or gods."
She understood what it meant now.
But if it costed her her life…she would still be happy with it.
Knowing that her secret would go with her to the grave.

Bianca and Hazel were encamped together, moving north.
Slowly and steadily, they were making headway. Appearing within Los Angeles, they had taken some money cough, stolen it, cough, and then set off to get on interstate transportation.
Of course, it was just their luck to have their greyhound break dawn on them.
Right now, both demigoddesses were trekking through the forests of Pennsylvania.
Their goal?
Somewhere above them. More specifically, San Francisco.
That was what their father had told them just after they exited the doors of death.
Both of them were aware it was still a long trek if they wanted to reach their destination.
Both were aware that they weren't exactly the most fitting individuals. Hazel, just like her, was from an older era. She didn't belong in this modern time.
Both got odd glances here and there-teenage girls, no more than 14 (even though they mentally were older), walking through a bustling city, seemingly without a destination in mind.
She, having been 'reborn', no longer possessed lady Artemis' blessing. Both her and Hazel were equally able to tire out at a fast pace, and they needed more and more feequent rests if they wanted to make haste.
She could only hope that whatever awaited them was something that could help them.
Hopefully, she wasn't going back to mount othrys. Hopefully, Zoë, Percy and Thalia had finished their quest already.
She wasn't even sure of how much time had passed. For an unknown reason, she couldn't see Nico in the underworld.
She didn't want to.
After all, it only increased the pain she'd feel if she saw him even for a split second.
She was never sure of the date they set off to begin the quest.
Hell, she wasn't sure how long she had spent in the underworld. More than a few weeks, for sure…
But she didn't exactly know if the quest even finished.
She did note that more demigods had entered her father's realm at some point.
She had never interacted with them.
Regardless, as they set off once again after a few minutes of rest, she could only hope that Nico was safe, somewhere, someplace.
After all, hope was what kept her going.

Gleeson Hedge was sure that the two demigods under his watch were anything but normal.
Even by demigod standards.
That girl, piper McLean, is the daughter of Tristan McLean, famous actor, yada yada, who recently fell out of the limelight.
She was the least of his troubles. She felt powerful, but he didn't know if she was one of the big three.
As for the other kid…Leo Valdez, lost his mother to a fire.
He was insecure, joked around a lot and had intense ADHD. His curly brown hair was frizzled and he had elf-like ears, though his dark eyes always shone with mirth and joy.
"Charmer," he muttered, before moving off to resume his supervision.
He would keep an eye on them. Having survived till 15 when most didn't even live past that age was already extraordinary. The fact that they weren't even discovered added more onto it.
Looking up at the sky, he could only hope that campers would come soon and pick these two up before trouble found them.
He found them for a reason, after all.

A/N: And chapter 16 is done.
The punishment part was underwhelming, yes, but I'm not a big fan of torture/ writing out punishments. Yes, it might disappoint some of you but I'm sure a few of my readers here appreciate the lack of gore.
Also, some of you wish for Jake's death. Yes, he will die. No, he will not die by Artemis' hand.I know that the only logical thing is to kill him off, but I plan for him to have a role later so that he can undergo changes along with Persia.
No spoilers though.
Regardless, here's a summary-
Jake and his gang finally get punished. Jake's lies are revealed by himself, Rachel shows up out of the blue and delivers a message from our favorite queen of Olympus, hunters and campers set off to search for her and nico, and Hedge locates two new and powerful demigods.
I wonder how this will develop further.
Anyway, don't forget to leave your thoughts and comments in the…well, comments. Or reviews. Again, your words are my motivation! Soooooo…
Yeah, please review or comment! A simple "Nice" or "great work" would already be heartwarming enough for me!
Anyway, review response: (Only 1 ;-;)
Ryan Fowler: Thanks! It was my every intention to show Persia's weakness. Part of the later pilot will be focused on Persia overcoming those…hopefully. I also wanted to set it up to show that she's overly forgiving for her own good…i guess. Though I more or less wanted to focus on the ghosts of her past.
Also, thanks for your compliments about my work. I think it's not the best and could be better, since I'm not a dedicated writer, but still regardless, thank you!
There'll be a lot planned for you all, as well as Zeus and Apollo. Though TOA will still exist, it'll have a new twist…stay tuned I guess, I'm still planning on how I get there.
Regardless, I'll see you guys in the next chapter! Sorry this chapter was short, but I'll make it up for you guys…
Crikey. I really need to set up an average word limit thingy. Chapters with inconsistent lengths don't look great.
