STORY OF JOHN CONNOR, THE FUTURE
John found himself in a dark tunnel, after he pulled himself up from the ground. He felt shivers run through his body as he was butt naked. A red headed woman stood beside him, and unlike him she was completely clothed. From somewhere she handed John a coat. John had no idea where she got it, but really he didn't care. He quickly put it on to save himself from the cold, and to cover his nakedness. He looked around but couldn't recognize where he was, it was unlike any place he had ever seen. Also he couldn't see a particular thing, something very important. Finally he looked at his companion who stood still like a statue observing her surroundings, with calculated eyes.
"Where's Cameron? Where's her body?" John asked
"It does not go through. Her body was too damaged to be competent for time traveling." She answered without any emotion.
John was both shocked and angered. What did she mean that it does not go through? Did he leave her body behind?
"Did we leave her behind?" John asked.
"No. Anything which is not alive, if comes in contact with the TDE, ceases to exist. Your Cameron's body does not exist anymore." The woman answered, still not showing any emotion.
"What?" John was both shocked and heart-broken at the same time.
But before he could dwell on the matter anymore, he heard footsteps and dogs barking.
"Got one. I got one." A man said, with a gun in his hand which was pointed straight towards John.
John had his hands up in surrender. "Got one? What?" He turned his head around to find that his companion was gone.
"Please. I am not metal." John said, with his hands still up in surrender.
"Don't move. Don't move." The man with the gun, warned John again.
"Please I swear, I don't have anything on me. I am human." John tried to show the man he was not a machine, but the man was not listening.
"I will blast you." The man's finger tensed on the trigger of the rifle in his hands.
John was sure this was the end. He was going to die right now. But at that moment he heard a voice, a voice he thought he would never hear again, "Stand down."
Another stepped past the man who had his gun pointed at John. There were several more men behind the newly arrived man. That face. John knew this man. He observed John, carefully from head to toe and looked at his companion who was still holding John at gunpoint. A genuine smile formed on John's face seeing the man standing in front of him.
He turned around to face his companion. "Look at his eyes. He has about as metal as you do." His companion lowered his gun but was still looking at John with suspicion in his eyes.
"Derek?" John addressed the man, smiling. He was glad to see a familiar face at last.
"Yeah?" Derek asked, looking at John.
At that moment John realized something was wrong. There was no hint of recognition in Derek's eyes.
"John. John Connor." John still tried though.
"I know a lot of people, kid. I don't know you." Derek said. He then looked at his companions to make sure, "Anyone heard the name, John Connor?" His companions disagreed, they don't know any John Connor. Derek sighed and looked at John with a slight smirk on his face. "You know what kid? I think you are going to be famous." Then his eyes lingered towards John's back, for a moment before looking at John again. "My brother is back and you are wearing his coat."
John immediately turned around and came face to face with the man he never met in his life, but wanted to. Kyle Reese. His father. He was looking at John with a questioning gaze. John couldn't help but stare at his father. This is the man he craved to meet so much. The man he never got to knew. John's eyes glistened with unshed tears. John and Kyle Reese were both staring at each other but a movement behind Kyle caught John's attention.
A girl came into his view with brown hairs cascading down past her shoulders, big doe brown eyes, and pink lips. All the expression of sadness was gone from John's eyes at that moment. He couldn't help but smile and shed a single tear.
He has found her.
Cameron.
But something was wrong again. The girl bent down on her knees and began to pet a dog who stood at her feet. Then her gaze met John's and she just stared without any recognition. John also stared back, unashamed. But slowly the smile on his face began to disappear when he realized something.
This was not Cameron.
And again his heart broke. He was alone in this unknown future.
Two men grabbed John's arms from both sides and dragged him away behind Derek and the others. Only Kyle and the girl, who John thought to be Cameron, stood behind.
"You know that kid, Allison?" Kyle asked, looking at the girl.
Allison looked at Kyle and shook her head. "Never seen him before. Who was that?"
"I have no idea. But did you see the way he was looking at you?" Kyle asked.
"You mean…." Allison didn't complete her sentence.
Kyle disagreed. "No. He was looking at you, as if he knew you. Did you see the way his eyes begin to shine brightly when he spotted you?" Allison shook her head. She didn't see it. "He was looking at you, as if you were the most special person to him."
"That's impossible, Kyle. I told you, I had never seen him before." Allison said, slightly irritated. Ninety percent of the male population in the base looked at her with lustful eyes, she knew that. She didn't want another stalker.
"I know. Let's find out what this is about." Kyle said and began to walk towards the direction where they dragged John away. Allison followed him.
But none of them noticed a silver blob moved away from the wall and a duplicate, body of Allison became visible lying on the ground. The only noticeable difference was that her whole body was riddled with bullet holes and the flesh on the right side of her face was missing where a metallic skull and orb was visible.
John was half dragged and half pulled inside the base, which he presumed to be the base of the Resistance fighters. He was again pushed inside a small dark room. Someone threw a dirty pair of clothes on his face and ordered. "Get changed."
He did so, without any protest. Then someone grabbed him and pushed him down on a chair and tied his hands and legs.
"Hey…" John tried to protest but he knew it was of no use.
One man placed a chair in front of John and went to stand at the door of the room with a rifle in his hands. Derek entered the room, with Kyle and Allison at his toes. He took the seat while Kyle and Allison stood beside him, watching John intently.
Allison's eyes met John's again, and she observed that he looked away immediately with a sign of emotional distress on his face. But she didn't speak. He looked so young, just about her age.
"So, who are you again, kid?" Derek broke the silence.
"John Connor." John answered.
"How did you get in here? And what are you doing here, John?" Derek questioned again.
"I was looking for someone and I got lost." John replied.
"Who were you looking for? And what made you think this person will be here?"
"My friend. Cameron. She was taken away from me. I was trying to get her back."
"Taken away? By whom?"
"A person named John Henry."
Derek looked at his companions in his room. "Anyone know John Henry?"
Nobody knew.
"Why were you looking for him here? How do you know me? And you didn't answer me, how did you get in here, past all our security?"
"I told you, I got lost." John repeated.
"That's not the answer I was looking for." Derek said, angrily. "And why the hell were you naked? Where are you from?"
"I can't tell. At least not now." John's head hung low. He felt defeated, lost and heart-broken. Then John felt a blow against his left cheek and he coughed out blood on the floor.
"Answer him." One of the soldiers said, looking at John angrily.
"Stop hitting him!" Allison yelled and stepped between John and the soldier. She leveled a glare at the soldier.
"Allison, don't meddle with things you don't understand." The soldier warned.
"Shut up! Why did you hit him? He is unarmed and poses no threat to any of us." Allison spat in the soldier's face.
"Do you know this punk?" The soldier asked, his glare fixed towards John. "No. You don't. He isn't even talking about how he got past our defenses. Don't you think this is odd?"
"Allison, Mark has a point." Kyle agreed.
"It does not mean that you have to beat the shit out of him." She indicated towards John, who was sitting with a bruised cheek. "Look at you, all of you. You are all acting like bloody machines. Where is your humanity? Have you lost it while fighting like machines?"
"Allison…" Mark warned.
"Allison you don't know, he could be anything." Derek said.
"I bet he is a Gray, sir." Mark said, looking at Derek. "I mean look at him. He is completely clean, not a sign of dirt on his body, he even looks to be well fed. Who has the pleasure to have all these luxuries these days, except the Grays?"
"It does not prove anything, Mark. I don't think he is a Gray. He already told us that he was looking for his friend. Look at him, he looked lost and confused." Allison said, indicating towards John, who sat there motionless, looking towards the ground.
"He could be lying, Allison." Kyle protested.
John sat there motionless, hearing their words. He couldn't think about anything. What would he tell them? That he time traveled to save his terminator protector? Who would believe him? They would shoot him immediately. And then, he thought why had he jumped in time without having a second thought? He even left his mother behind without thinking about the consequences of time traveling or the risk he was taking. Nothing came to his mind, except that John Henry had taken away Cameron's chip, and he had to get her back. No other thought came to his mind except her. She was all he could think about.
Why did he feel so broken when he heard that she was gone? The relationship between them for the past few months was not something he wanted to think about. He did many things which he regrets now. He pushed her away after the car bomb incident. The blast and the damage to her chip reverted her programming back to original. He, his mother, Derek and Charlie were all prepared to burn her chip and body for good, when Cameron lay in her deathbed. But he couldn't bring himself to do it, once he got to look at her face, lying there motionless with her eyes closed. Despite knowing that she will probably try to kill him once she gets booted again, he went against his family and inserted the chip in her skull. Once she gained consciousness she didn't kill him, even though he had placed a gun in her hand. She made her choice that day by going against her programming. He should've known that day that she was different. She cared for him, even though she couldn't show it like humans. But actions speak stronger than words. But John was blind and full of emotions. Then Riley came into his life and he pushed Cameron away. He thought he had something genuine with Riley. When he kissed Riley, he imagined that he was kissing Cameron, not Riley. He forced himself not to think about Cameron, even when his heart knew the truth. He never loved Riley, it was all a big lie. Sure he did care for Riley to some extent, but not like what he felt for Cameron, it was not even close. Whenever Cameron tried to get close to him he pushed her away with harsh words or by his stupid actions. He saw her hurting back then, but he didn't care. He forced himself towards something, which he didn't want and at the same time away from something which he wanted, but could never have. He let out his frustrations on Cameron. And she let him. Repeatedly.
The answer to why he jumped time without a second thought - He loved Cameron. Loved her from the moment he saw her. But he was just an idiot and stubborn to accept it.
Now she is gone and he just felt that he had lost everything.
He had heard Allison's words who was trying to defend him. Why? She didn't even know him? He wanted to look at Allison, but whenever he looked at her, he didn't see Allison, he saw her. He saw Cameron. And every time he felt that someone just stabbed him in his heart.
"Kyle, you once told me that I have the ability to tell who is lying or not. And I am telling you now that John is not lying. Trust me." Allison repeated. Allison had no idea why she came to John's defense. She couldn't explain, but in her heart she knew that he was not lying. He looked lost and his eyes were begging for help.
"Oh! It's John now?" Mark sneered at her. "You know what I think about defending this punk Allison? I think you have a little crush." Mark mocked, his eyes showing signs of jealousy.
Mark didn't get to speak more as Allison's fists connected with his jaw.
"Allison!" Kyle said, his eyes wide.
"Get out Mark!" Derek ordered.
Rubbing his jaw Mark left the room, while fixing a glare towards Allison, who wasn't even looking at him anymore. She bent down beside John and freed him from his bonds. Seeing that John still didn't react, Allison placed a comfortable hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, everything will be fine. We will help you to find your friend." Allison said, smiling slightly.
John turned to look at her smiling face and a fresh wave of pain shot through his heart. Despite that he forced himself a small smile.
Derek observed the interaction between Allison and John. He sighed. "He seemed to respond to you, Allison."
Allison gave a slight nod, looking at Derek. Then she turned back towards John. "You know what, John. I think we are going to be great friends."
John looked at her. Really looked at her. So this is the girl Cameron talked about. Her template.
"Water." His voice croaked.
Allison handed him a dirty glass of water, "Here. Sorry, that's the best we have got these days."
"He seemed to relax around you, Allison. The kid looks like he's had a hard day." Kyle observed too.
"It's almost like he just finally realized what's happened." Allison said, looking at Kyle. "The war's been going on for thirteen years."
"I don't know." Kyle said. "But try to see what you can get out of him. He's definitely hiding something. We need to know what that is."
"You already know that he is not a metal. He's just a kid, my age." Allison said.
"The Grays can be anyone." Derek added. "Imagine what would happen if they got someone on the inside."
Allison nodded. "I will see what I can do. But I don't really think he is one of them." She then looked at John again, "He seems…." She hesitated. "Different somehow."
"You never like to assume the worst in anyone do you." Kyle smiled.
Allison smiled back. "Someone has to keep the optimism alive in this dump."
"He is your responsibility, Allison." Derek said.
"Aye, aye General Reese." Allison said, in mock salute.
John saw everyone left him with Allison there. He finally gathered the courage to look at her again. She is not Cameron. Keep yourself steady and be in control, John.
"Why did you help me?" John asked.
Allison couldn't answer his question immediately. She hesitated. "I don't know. I just got the feeling that you are someone important, and you were telling the truth. You are not our enemy."
John sighed. "I am not your enemy. That I can assure you. I am here just to get my friend back."
"She was important to you, wasn't she?"
"Yes." John smiled. "But I was too late to realize it."
Allison gave him a sad smile. She understood it was not easy to cope with the feeling of losing someone close. She had lost many friends over the years against the war with Skynet. But looking at John, he could tell there's something more which he isn't telling her. This girl 'Cameron' surely meant so much more to him than a friend.
"When you first saw me you thought I was someone else, didn't you?" Allison asked, finally.
"Yes." John agreed.
"I could see it in your eyes. You had this look of pure joy and love on your face but it faded into confusion and pain."
John smiled slightly despite the fresh wave of pain, he felt again when he thought about her.
"You're very perceptive."
"It's Cameron, isn't it?"
"Yes."
"Was she the girl you thought I was?"
"Yes. You're almost like twins. Everyone has a double." John evaded the truth.
Allison hesitated again. She wanted to hear the answer from his mouth although she was sure she knew what the answer would be. She could see it in his eyes, everytime he talked about his friend.
"Did you…."
But her question was left incomplete, as suddenly they heard sounds of screaming and gun fire around the base.
"What's that?" John asked after getting up from his seat.
"Let's see. Come on." Allison was out of the room immediately and John followed.
Outside they saw civilians and soldiers running everywhere. It was chaos. Allison stopped one of the soldiers. "What is going on?"
The soldier looked between her and John, then sneered, "Ask your Gray friend. We have an infiltrator in our base. It's killing everyone." Then he ran away towards the source of commotion.
"Can they stop it?" John asked Allison.
"They will eventually. But there will be a lot of casualties. With the weapons we have it is extremely difficult to take down a Terminator." Allison explained. "All Skynet units use Plasma weapons. Our soldiers don't stand a chance."
"Then it needs to be stopped, before it can kill more people." John said, straightening up.
Allison could never forget the fire she saw in John's eyes during that moment. All sorrow and heart breaks are forgotten. His expression hardened and all the pain was replaced by determination in his eyes. This was not the John Connor she came to know for the last couple of hours.
"Listen to me, John. You should probably get away from here. Don't do something rash." Allison tried to stop him but John didn't listen.
"I know what I am doing, Allison. I know how to stop it." John said. "I just need some things."
Then he spotted both Derek and Kyle guiding people to escape. He immediately went to them. "What kind of preparations do you have for this kind of attack?"
"We hide the entrance really well, and hope that they don't find it." Kyle said. "It's in the East now, but heading our way fast."
"Kyle!" Derek got his attention. "We need to get everyone out and get to Depot Four."
"Why not set a trap here and stop it? How long are you going to run?" John asked angrily, looking at all of them.
"John…" Allison tried to intervene but he stopped her.
"No. If we want to stop Skynet we can't keep letting them gain confidence. We can't keep running. We have to fight." John said, with confidence in his voice.
Derek and Kyle looked at each other but didn't say anything. Allison looked impressed.
"If we run now, we give Skynet another victory. But if we stand our ground and fight, we will give Skynet a taste of its defeat." John said.
"Defeat Skynet? It's not possible, kid." Derek said.
"There's a first time for everything, Derek. Now will you help me?" John said again, his eyes burning.
Gathering all the necessary things, John quickly set a trap. He used his knowledge and experience he gained from his mother and Cameron. As predicted the Terminator didn't see it, it got electrocuted and went into a reboot sequence. One twenty seconds, John though. With the instruments to open the port cover of a terminator chip and cut the skin, he quickly got into work and extracted the chip before the terminator rebooted. He observed the chip in his hand carefully. If it was not for Cameron he would've never extracted the chip within one twenty seconds. She taught him how to do it efficiently and fast.
Thank you, Cameron. For saving my life again.
Derek, Kyle and Allison were waiting for sometime for John to show up but he didn't.
"We can't wait any longer, Kyle. We have to go, now." Derek murmured. He didn't like leaving comrades behind in a fight but sometimes he had to. It was the cruelty of the war.
"Everyone is ready to head out. We are ready." Kyle said.
"Wait. What about John? We can't just leave him here." Allison protested immediately.
"If we wait anymore, we all will die. He made his choice. He's probably dead by now." Kyle said sympathetically.
Derek looked behind his brother and his eyes widened. "Maybe not." Even Kyle's eyes widened in shock. But Allison's eyes showed relief.
John came walking forward to the three of them, confidently with the chip in his hand. Allison came rushing forward to meet him and watch him from head to toe for signs of injury.
"What happened? Did you kill it?" She asked.
John smiled and produced the chip in his hand.
"What is that?" Kyle asked.
"It's the chip. The core, the processor. Without the chip the terminator is dead." John answered.
"Then destroy the chip." Derek said.
"No." John disagreed.
"What do you mean no?" Kyle asked.
"John, we can't just keep it intact. We have a chance to destroy it and we should take it."
"We need the chip. We need to find out what its mission was." John replied.
"I think we know what its mission was." Derek said with his hand folded over his chest.
John shook his head. "I meant where it came from, who's it reporting to." Then he looked at Allison for a moment who was looking at him with a shocked expression on her face. "We can reprogram this chip and have a terminator at our side."
"Reprogram? How can we do it? Even our top scientists have no idea." Derek replied.
"John, we do not have the infrastructure to accomplish such feats." Allison intervened and tried to make him understand. "If what you are saying is even possible."
"We do not need a lot of infrastructure to do this. I just need a computer." John said.
"You? How do you know what to do?" Kyle asked.
"I know things. I know about the Terminators. I know how to kill them. My mother and Cameron taught me everything they knew about the machines." John said. "It's time to fight back."
PRESENT TIME
Sarah Connor was working in another temporary job as a waitress. She contemplated her life.
Waitress.
Survivor.
Mother.
Mental patient.
Soldier.
Terrorist.
And back to being a waitress again. She brought a plate full of food to a customer who was waiting for her. She had no idea how long they would stay here? Three months? Yeah probably. Then they would run again. Every night she had her nightmares about machines and the end of the world. But her concern was about her son, John. What would he do once she is gone? She couldn't give him a life. The Police are still actively hunting them, even after all these years.
She was thinking about her life but then the news on the TV caught her attention.
"Yesterday a pair of tourists discovered this strange curved hole on the ground. You can see the depth is only a few centimeters but look at the smoothness of the curves. The most unrealistic thing is that for about five meters the entire ground can be seen naked, burned. Scientists cannot explain this new phenomenon. If this was a lightning strike more area should have been affected, but we can see everything is normal after five meters distance."
Sarah stopped what she was doing and stared at the screen of the TV. Her heart was racing because she knew what caused the ground to burn. Effect of TDE. Someone or something came through.
Someone changed the channel to another news channel.
"In the midst of the public at around 2 P.M. We have an occurrence of shootout right on the streets. According to spectators only one bullet was shot, at a young boy. Police are saying it was a sniper shot."
The Reporter now had his mike in front of a spectator. "You were there Miss? Please tell us what happened."
"It happened all of a sudden. The boy was standing a few steps beside talking with a girl around his age. Next second I saw she tackled him to the ground and that glass….." She pointed towards the door of the mall. "Shattered to pieces."
"Did you see what happened to the boy?"
"No. At that moment I had no idea what to do. I was running for my life."
Sarah didn't see anymore. She was out of the restaurant before anyone could stop her. She immediately got in her van, and drove forward, fast. John is in danger. She could tell. First the sign of TDE and then the shootout near her home. She has to go faster.
Sarah was at the front door of her house within a few minutes. She forgot how many traffic rules she broke while she drove back to her home. She didn't care. What mattered to her was her son - John.
She looked around and saw nothing suspicious or out of place. Slowly she stepped forward towards the door and unlocked it. She stepped inside and found the house to be empty and dark.
"John!" She called. But she got no reply. She got the feeling that her son wasn't in the house. Her heart beat rose after thinking about the possibility of what happened to her son. Suddenly she felt someone's presence right behind her, but before she could react she felt something heavy hit her head from behind and she saw darkness.
Sarah regained her consciousness with a groan. She felt the back of her head throbbing. But at that moment she could care less about her, where is John? She looked around and realized that she was still in her home. She was sitting on a chair with her hands and legs tied. She tried to break free, but she couldn't.
At that moment someone appeared in front of her, wearing a black suit. "It is of no use."
Sarah looked up, and found a man, wearing an expensive business suit, was staring down at her with a smirk on his face.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Sarah asked while glaring at the man.
The man smiled and came close to Sarah's face. "Isn't it obvious, Sarah Connor? We want your son's head." Then he leaned back and folded his arms over his chest. "Now tell me where is John Connor?"
"I don't know where he is and even if I knew I would never tell you." Sarah said, while glaring at the man.
At that moment three more men stepped inside the room. The man who was interrogating Sarah looked at his men. "She is a feisty one, isn't she?" He asked, looking at his men. They laughed at Sarah's expense. The man again came close to Sarah's face and whispered, "You know I have my methods to make people talk. It's not nice. But sometimes I have to, and I must accept that I enjoy breaking people's minds and spirit. After all, I am a professional."
"Do whatever you want. I'll never give John away." Sarah said, greeting her teeth angrily.
The man sighed dramatically and pulled out a taser from his pocket. "You have left me no choice."
Sarah prepared herself for the pain she knew was coming for her.
For you, John.
Sarah's chair was pressed against the wall, she couldn't even push back. The man came near her slowly and held the taser near her face.
"Having second thoughts?" He asked.
"None." Sarah replied immediately. One thing she was sure of was that these people couldn't get to John. He had escaped. That was a big relief to her.
Sarah closed her eyes to accept the pain, but at that very moment the wall beside her exploded and a hand came in and grabbed hold of the man's throat. With an easy twist the hand broke the man's neck and let him fall on the floor. Sarah was shell-shocked when a girl just about John's age came in through the hole in the wall and came to stand beside her protectively.
Three other men in the room were so shocked that they even forgot what to do. She didn't give them any time. She was on them before they could react. She kicked one man on his chest, instantly breaking his rib cage and killing him. The other two scrambled on the ground and produced guns in their hands.
"Look out." Sarah warned.
But it was too late, one of the men had already fired. Sarah was completely surprised when nothing happened after the bullet collided against the girl's chest. A shiver went down her spine when she saw in the darkness of the room, the girl's eyes glowed blue.
"Shit!" One of them yelled in surprise and backed away. "Metal."
The girl jumped and grabbed the man's arm. With a twist she broke his arms and the gun fell down from his hand. The other one tried to escape but found his way blocked by none other than John Connor himself. The man was too surprised to react and that was all the time Cameron needed. She picked up the gun from the ground and fired, putting a hole on the man's head, killing him instantly.
Sarah was watching everything pensively. Then her son was beside her.
"Mom! Are you okay?" John asked, looking at his mother. He quickly began to untie her bonds.
Once free from her bonds, Sarah instantly engulfed her son in a fierce hug. "John? Are you hurt?"
John smiled at his mother's over protectiveness. "I am alright mom. She had saved me." John said, pointing towards Cameron, whose gaze was fixed on the man lying on the ground and groaning in pain because of his broken arm.
"John, what do you want to do with him?" Cameron asked, indicating the man.
John turned around and faced Cameron. "Ask him what he knows." John said.
Cameron immediately grabbed the man by his collar and held him with his feet dangling one feet above the ground. "Tell us what you know." Cameron said, glaring at the man.
At that moment Cameron spotted the man was chewing something in his mouth. She realized too late what was going on because the man in her arms was already dead. She let his body fall on the floor and turned to meet John and his mother.
"John, what the hell is going on? Who are these people?" Sarah asked, outraged. "Did they fire at you on the streets?"
"Mom. Listen. These are Grays." John answered.
"Grays? What's a Gray?" Sarah asked, confused.
"Humans, who went to Skynet's side and betrayed the Resistance." Cameron answered.
"Humans, working with Skynet? What?" Sarah was still confused.
"And the answer to your second question mom, yes they did shoot at me and she saved me." John said and shared a glance with Cameron.
Sarah's face reddened in anger. "John, how many times did I tell you not to…"
John stopped her mother's outburst which he knew was coming. "Mom, if I wasn't out of the house, I would be dead by now."
Sarah sighed and regained control over her emotions. "What about her?" She asked, looking at Cameron.
"She is Cameron." John said.
"I am here to protect John and prevent Judgment Day." Cameron answered.
"Judgment Day? I thought we stopped it, permanently." Sarah asked.
"It's not your fault. Skynet is already created based on Miles Dyson's research notes. His documents were already duplicated before you destroyed Cyberdyne." Cameron answered.
"Who did it?" Sarah asked.
"I don't know. Even future John had no idea." Cameron answered truthfully.
Sarah sighed. Her nightmare was back again. "So what should we do now?"
"We should get out of the city immediately. By now, the Grays have already informed the Police of this location." Cameron deadpanned.
"Why do the Grays want to involve the Police in this?" Sarah asked, confused. "Don't they want this to be secret?"
"There are Skynet's agents among the Police too. So, no one would suspect. With the help of the Police, Skynet wants to get to John. If you are arrested by the Police, you are dead." Cameron explained.
"Then what are we waiting for?" John asked.
A/N: I would like to mention some points here to avoid confusion -
-The first chapter was about the origin story of Cameron who is present in the current timeline.
-The second chapter had no link to the first chapter. While the first chapter showed the future and origin of Cameron the second chapter showed the present timeline, where Cameron was sent.
-As one reviewer mentioned in the comment, there is no connection between the first and the second chapter, not yet. The connection will slowly form.
-This chapter is partly regarding future John who sent Cameron back in the current timeline to prevent Judgment Day. Also the Allison Young in the current chapter and in chapter one are one and the same, and also in the same timeline.
-This story will reveal how John became the leader in the future, how he met Cameron, won the war and send her back.
-There are some similarities between the show and this story for now. But as the story progresses there will be more, a lot more.
-In the current chapter there are a few scenes and dialogues which I took from River2027's TSCC third season videos.
Please review and let me know your thoughts about the way story is progressing.
