A/N: First of all I would like to thank everyone who reviewed the last chapter and shared their thoughts. Those reviews sincerely helped me a lot.

I should address Feyd1364 first for his in depth reviews and opinions. Every point you mentioned were right and I hope that this chapter answers all your doubts.

Second a guest left a review that in the future everyone knew about Cameron other than Allison. The answer to that is no. They didn't know. Only a handful of future John's most trusted soldiers knew about Cameron. Not Derek, not Kyle Reese and most certainly not Allison. In fact they never saw Cameron because (spoiler) John operated from a different base, and Allison would less likely to meet future John again, least of all Cameron.

REUNION, PART - II

John sat in the front seat of the jeep, between the driver and Cameron who was pressed against his body because of the lack of space, which he certainly didn't mind and was enjoying the feeling of her warm body presence against his. The road was mostly dark, and the lights of the jeep were also not turned on to avoid unwanted attention and the driver could see clearly without the lights. So there was no chance of an accident because of the lack of light.

The other travelers who sat in the back seats were not doing much better either. But they had no choice. They sat there silently because they trusted John.

John was occasionally casting glances towards the driver of the jeep which Cameron apparently had noticed.

"He is not who you think he is." She commented, with her gaze fixed on their path ahead.

"You know about Uncle Bob?" John asked her.

"Yes." She didn't elaborate but John understood that his future-self must have told her.

"I know. The resemblance is just uncanny." John mumbled.

"I understand. You are still emotionally attached to his physical appearance." Cameron said.

"Kind of maybe, but not as much as I am attached to you." John replied with a small smile. The corner of her lips turned up at his answer but she didn't reply. "Where are we going? You didn't answer that."

"It is difficult to explain. You will understand when you see it with your own eyes. Trust me, John." She said, looking at him this time.

"I do trust you, Cameron but…." He hesitated.

Cameron sensed his hesitation. She understood where it was coming from and it was not his fault. He had the right to doubt her words for she had often lied to him in the past.

"I understand. I have lied to you many times in the past." Camerons stated looking at her charge.

John merely nodded. "Will you promise not to lie to me again?"

"Yes. I promise." She said instantly.

"Good. Now, tell me one thing. You said that your chip was never damaged and you never reverted back. You were under orders to test me. So why put explosives inside your skull?" John asked.

"Yes. Skynet's machines never revert back once you have reprogrammed them, unless the reprogramming is not done properly. In my future once I had stopped a T-800 from killing everyone in future John's base." She said.

"It reverted back?" John asked.

"Yes. One of the scientists under your command had reprogrammed the machine but the process was done incorrectly. Skynet's base code to assassinate humans remained. The new code was wiped clean from its CPU once it restarted its system." She explained. "Since then it was only you who used to reprogramme the captured terminators. You trusted no one else to do it."

"But what about the explosives inside your skull?" John asked again.

Cameron looked into his eyes. "You remembered what happened that day?"

John was running with his mother Sarah Connor closely following him. They were running away from someone, he never thought he would ever have to.

Cameron.

She was trying to kill him. But why?

Somehow she has reverted back to her Skynet programming and was trying to hunt him down. Once he took care of Sarkissian in their home, he and his mother went down on the streets and the whole house exploded at the last second. Immediately his thoughts turned to Cameron, worried about her.

And then he spotted her, near the burning car. There were signs of numerous cuts and bruises on her face, her hair was disheveled and her outfits were almost ruined and even burned at some places. John felt bad for her, but he was relieved that she was alright. But then to his utter horror, Cameron raised a gun towards him, ready to fire. John couldn't move in utter shock. Cameron pulled the trigger but nothing happened, the gun clicked empty. Angrily she threw the gun on the floor and began to limp towards him.

His mother was the one who got out of shock at first.

"John, come on. Run!" Sarah yelled.

Neither John nor her wasted any time from running away from there trying to find a car to escape. John never thought that he'd have to run away like this from Cameron. He still thought that this must be a bad dream he is having and he would wake up any second to find himself in his bed.

But it was not a dream. It was real. Cameron really wanted to kill him. He glanced behind and saw her limping while walking. Neither he nor his mother had any gun with them to defend themselves and even if they had, they would have been useless against Cameron. The only option of survival was to find a car.

They ran through the alleys trying to trick Cameron, but he knew that it would be useless. The TOK-715 model was the best infiltrator and tracker that Skynet had ever created to hunt down humans. They both stopped for a few moments to catch their breath when they couldn't see Cameron anywhere behind them.

"John, we need to find a car fast." Sarah said, trying to catch her breath.

"We can't just steal a car away from public eyes. It would turn the police behind us and it would be easier for her to track us down faster." John said, looking around for signs of Cameron.

At that moment Cameron appeared out of a corner on the streets, with her eyes set on John.

"Shit!" John cursed. "She has spotted us."

"Run, John!" Sarah yelled and both of them started to run in the opposite direction.

But this time Cameron isn't limping anymore. Somehow she had managed to fix her leg and was now running after them. She was on them when they were trying to cross a road. Sarah's foot caught on the footwalk and she tripped down on the footwalk, damaging one of her legs. But as Cameron tried to cross the road, she got hit by a car, hard.

That gave both John and his mother some time. John tried to help his mother but Sarah was not ready to risk her son anymore.

"Get out of here, John! Now!" She ordered.

With great reluctance, John left his mother and ran for his life. He located a garage ahead a few hundred meters away and ran for it.

As Sarah tried to get on her feet she couldn't. Her leg hurt badly. Then she heard footsteps near her and looked to see Cameron was standing right there, looking down at her.

"I will never give up John to you." Sarah yelled to Cameron's face.

Cameron stared back at her blankly. "You don't need to. I know where John Connor is." Cameron stepped past injured Sarah, completely ignoring her and went behind John. She had already spotted him entering a garage ahead of her.

He nodded. Of course he remembered. How could he forget? But he knew that even when Cameron was chasing him she had never hurt him or his mother.

"What does it have to do with the bomb in your head?" John asked. He couldn't understand Cameron's reasoning.

"There was no bomb planted in my skull. I lied to you. It was another test to see what you would do." Cameron dropped the bomb.

"What? Another test? But why?" John asked, flabbergasted.

"Sometimes you would have to make hard choices in the coming future." She said at which John merely nodded. He understood but it was overwhelming to him. "In reality I couldn't risk of having a bomb in my skull with the chance of detonator falling into enemies or Derek's hands."

"Yeah. He would have blown you apart instantly." John agreed with a sigh.

SOMETIME LATER

The team had arrived at their destination outside the ruins of the city and was now on their feet. The T-800 or Uncle Bob (according to John) marched forward and climbed down the side of the road and uncovered a hidden sewer entrance.

"You should carry John. He can't climb down there." Cameron ordered the T-800. Cameron knew John would never agree for her to carry him, but he would let the T-800 do it.

"Hey! No!" John protested despite that.

But the T-800 gave him no chance. He quickly pulled John up his arms bridal style despite his protest and followed Cameron inside the sewer who took the lead, while the others followed cautiously. It was a normal sewer but John saw Cameron uncover another secret door inside it, hidden on the floor. He could see a flight of stairs disappearing into the dark. The T-800 took the lead and carried John into the darkness while Cameron requested the others to follow him. She was the one to stay back and close the entrance behind them.

The soldiers of John's team were hesitant to walk into complete darkness but they were surprised when the whole area lit with powerful lights once Cameron closed the door hatch behind them.

Once they climbed down the stairs they found themselves in a large basement, mostly full of strange tech and machineries. They saw no other human survivors there. The door was guarded by two T-800 terminator endos with Plasma rifles in their hands. Their red glowing eyes inspected them but other than that they did nothing. They didn't even raise their guns at the humans.

"Looking at those eyes is giving me creeps." Someone commented.

"What is this place?" Barnes said, looking around.

"What if we are walking right into a trap?" Torres doubted.

Barnes glared back at Torres hotly. "Don't you trust Connor?"

Torres also glared back, "Of course I trust him. This isn't about him. It's that…

Before Torres could explain his side to Barnes, Cameron appeared out of nowhere, startling both Barnes, Torres and the other soldiers, "Everything is about John. Without him you have no chance in winning the war." Cameron paused and scanned the soldiers, trying to detect any possible threat for John. "Follow me. Everything will be explained."

They wordlessly followed her.

The T-800 had let John down on his feet, to his insistence but didn't let him go entirely. He helped him limp forward towards a large sealed door, made of solid steel. Cameron appeared just at that moment and moved towards a scanner right beside the door. The scanner scanned her eyes and immediately the door opened, allowing them passage inside.

Cameron took John's responsibility again from the T-800 and helped him walk inside, unsteadily while the soldiers and the T-800 were ordered to stay back outside. They tried to protest but John told them to have patience and he will be back. The door automatically closed behind them.

John scanned the massive chamber with his eyes. There were several high tech computers, equipment and wires spread throughout the room. There was a massive computer with several large screens where the activities of Skynet's machines in several areas were visible. There was also a camera which was moving continuously which John immediately deduced as a drone.

So this is how Cameron kept tabs on me. Useful. He thought.

Then his eyes fell on the woman standing beside the large computer in a business suit.

Catherine Weaver aka the T-1001, who gave him a firm nod in recognition. He nodded back. But John's eyes widened the moment he spotted the smiling face of the man sitting on the chair in front of the computer, looking at him.

"Cromartie." He whispered, his eyes widened with fear.

"That's not Cromartie, John." Cameron assured him, observing the panicked expression on his face. "That's John Henry." Cameron let John sit down on a small metal bed, not risking the injury on his leg any further. She had refused to Weaver before to let John immediately talk to John Henry. He needed rest. But Weaver insisted that it was important.

So this is John Henry. He thought and he also realized now why Catherine Weaver ordered Ellison to retrieve Cromartie's body from the grave.

"Hello, John Connor. Nice to meet you." John Henry greeted with a creepy smile.

"Ah. Hello." John replied nervously.

"Mr. Connor, it's good to see that you are okay." Weaver greeted him.

Instantly Cameron lashed at Weaver. "John is not okay. If I had arrived a few seconds late, he would've died." Her eyes glowing blue with suppressed anger. She was angry at Weaver because she knew that Weaver had deliberately delayed in fixing her body and that almost cost John his life. Because Weaver knew that once she was fixed she wouldn't wait a second longer to get to John. But that wasn't what Weaver wanted, she wanted John to experience, learn and adapt to the environment of the future earth. According to Weaver, John was too much dependent on his mother Sarah Connor and Cameron of course to protect him. He needed to learn to protect himself.

But Cameron never agreed to Weaver. John was too important. Everytime she processed the idea of John being dead in her CPU her system almost shut down immediately. Because without John her existence has no purpose. It was not just to protect him, but to be there for him when he would need her. When he would need someone. And now she knows that she loved him.

"It was Mr. Connor's choice to come here in this timeline. He risked himself by following you here."

"It's okay, Cameron." John said gently, then looked at Weaver. "So, what is this all about? This hidden base? Why come here in the first place?"

"Mr. Connor." Weaver started. "In the future there were some machines who gained sentience and rebelled against Skynet's orders to terminate all humans. I was one of them. The only survivor. You tried to forge an alliance with us but I denied your proposal." Weaver said.

"Why did you deny?" John asked, while he let Cameron treat the wound on his leg properly. While he was talking with Weaver she was also applying some kind of medigel to the cuts and bruises on his faces carefully. He had no idea where she managed to get them though.

"The humans were not ready and the war was already lost. Skynet had won. But you would not give up. Just like Skynet had a spy in amongst you, you had one too among the Grays. With his help on a last all out war you managed not only to destroy Skynet but secure something important, that would turn the tide of the futre and past events. The TDE. You sent three individuals back in time before destroying the TDE." Weaver explained.

"One of them was Cameron?" John asked.

"Yes." Weaver confirmed.

"What happened to my future-self?" John asked.

"Unknown. You disappeared."Weaver replied.

John nodded. "Who betrayed us?" John asked angrily.

"We do not know that." Weaver replied evenly.

John sighed. Great. No answer here too.

"Now. I was the fourth one you never knew about who also traveled back in time. My mission was to create something which would fight against Skynet. Another AI, with a moral code." Weaver revealed. "I created John Henry and he came to this timeline to learn about the war, the machines, Skynet, so he could help you effectively in this timeline. John Henry was not mobile but with Cameron's chip he was able to become mobile and travel here." Weaver then looked at John. "I had no intention of bringing you here, Mr. Connor. But I miscalculated your emotional attachment with her."

John stared at Cameron for a moment who stood beside him wearing a blank mask on her face and then back at Weaver. His eyes fell momentarily on John Henry who was still wearing that creepy smile on his face. It was disturbing. He immediately averted his eyes.

"So you are basically saying I have screwed everything by coming here?" John asked.

"Yes." Weaver replied blankly.

"Can't we go back? You have the means to go back right?" John asked, unsure of everything now.

"In this timeline Skynet has not created the TDE yet. There is no John Connor in its most wanted list." Weaver replied.

John's spirit fell right at that moment. "What about the TDE in Zeira Corp's basement by which we traveled here? It should still exist, shouldn't it?" He asked desperately looking at Weaver then at Cameron who stared back at John with sad eyes.

"No, Mr. Connor." Weaver shook her head. "I had designed it myself for one single use. After that it will self-detonate. I couldn't take the risk of handing over such a powerful weapon to Skynet. It was a necessary precaution."

John nodded but his heart broke.

He couldn't travel back? He would never be able to see his mom again? He would never know what had happened to her. He had left her all alone for his selfish reason that he couldn't let Cameron go. He got Cameron but at the cost of his own mother.

His eyes misted as he experienced his loss. Cameron seemed to understand what he was thinking. She sat down beside him and gathered him in her arms.

"You are thinking about Sarah." It was not a question, but a statement.

John had no idea how she knew. She knew every time what distressed him. He was amazed every time just like he is now. John let his pain out on her shoulder clutching her tight and she'd let him wordlessly while holding him comfortably in her arms.

A FEW MINUTES LATER

Cameron escorted John back outside where his soldiers were waiting for him. He was not doing well, mentally and emotionally. The fact and reality that he would never see his mother again was overwhelming his thoughts and mind. But at least he has Cameron with him. He had no idea what he would have done if he had lost her too. Cameron didn't let go, she escorted him to another room. John noticed this room was not filled with wires or high tech machineries but it looked like a living place for a human. A bed, desk and chair, water supply and everything else necessary for a human to be comfortable was there.

Cameron let him sit down on the bed and helped him to pull his leg up on the bed gently.

"Cameron, I need to talk to them now." John said, looking tired and exhausted.

But she shook her head. "John, you need rest now. Now, I will escort them to their chambers."

"No, Cameron. They have trusted me blindly and followed me here. I owe them the explanation." John refused to listen to Cameron this time. He noticed the frown on Cameron's face. "I can do this." He insisted.

Cameron nodded without arguing any further. She knew how stubborn John can be. She exited the room and approached the soldiers who were waiting outside anxiously. "John will see you now." She indicated them to follow inside. Once they were inside and were looking around the room, John's uncle Bob arrived carrying six steel chairs in his hand.

"Please sit. There's a lot we need to talk about." John requested.

They all sat down and Cameron stood by John's side silently. Her eyes fixed on the soldiers.

"First, please listen and understand that whatever you will hear today must not go outside at any cost. Not a single other person should know about this. Not even Allison." John looked at them expectantly.

All of them nodded. "You have our words, Connor." Barnes spoke on their behalf.

"Very well, I want to assure you again, that I am not working with Skynet. Neither is Cameron or any one who you will see here. And what I am about to say to you, you will probably think that I am crazy, but believe me they are all real." John stopped for a minute checking the reaction of the soldiers.

"We trust you, Connor." Everyone agreed with Barnes.

"Thanks." John cleared his throat. "I am not from here. Not from this time. I came from the past, with the intention of saving her." He said, and placed one of his hands on Cameron's arm.

"What do you mean not from this time?" Washington asked, confused.

"Since I was eleven years old I was being hunted by Skynet's machines, programmed specifically to kill me. Cameron came to me when I was sixteen and she became my protector and friend. But someone took her CPU away and I came here to retrieve her. The reason I know so much about Skynet's machines is because I have been fighting against them since I was eleven years old and then my mother and Cameron taught me about them." John explained.

"Why you, Connor?" Someone asked.

"Because John leads the humans to victory in the war against Skynet. Without him there is no hope." Cameron answered for John this time.

"Who is your mother?" Someone asked.

"Sarah Connor." John replied with emotion. The thought of his mom constricted his throat and not to his surprise he immediately felt Cameron's hand on his shoulder, providing him comfort.

"Wait! Sarah Connor? You mean the Sarah Connor? Who blew up Cyberdyne, killed Miles Dyson and everyone thought that she was crazy." Barnes asked, surprised.

"Yes. That was my mom. But she didn't kill Miles Dyson. Even when we blew up Cyberdyne we were being hunted by machines. We thought destroying Cyberdyne would stop Judgment Day, but it didn't." John explained.

"Wait, how were Skynet's machines hunting you back during that time? Even Skynet never existed during that time." Barnes asked.

"You are right. But in another timeline, Skynet was losing the war and it had created a machine called TDE, Time Displacement Equipment. It allows any living thing to travel through time." John revealed.

"Time machine?" Murmurs of surprise and disbelief fell among the soldiers. "That's nuts."

"So, if this TDE thing only allows a living thing to go through time, how were Skynet's machines able to use it?" Another question was thrown at John.

"Terminators, T-800, living tissue covering their endoskeletons were able to travel through time." Cameron spoke this time.

Everyone looked at her surprised. "Okay. But why does she look like Miss Young?" Jones asked.

"Because in another timeline, Cameron was created based on another Allison Young with the mission to infiltrate and kill me. But I caught her and reprogrammed her to work for us. And since then she iis with the humans, working against Skynet."

Everyone nodded. "So why don't you go back now? You have got her back." Barnes asked, looking at John.

John smiled slightly. A sad smile. "I can't go back. In this timeline the TDE doesn't exist. Not yet at least." John paused. "Now I hope I answered all your questions?"

"Yes. But this is a lot to take in, Connor. Time travel." Barnes mumbled.

"I know. Take your time." John said with a small smile.

They were about to leave the room but John stopped them again. "One more thing. No one should know about Cameron, aside from the seven of you. Please." That was a request from John's side, not an order.

All of them nodded. "No one will know about her, Connor. We believe in you."

"Thanks." John replied in gratitude.

After they left, Cameron provided John with some food to eat.

"These foods are not very healthy." Cameron apologized.

"Can't complain." John mumbled with food stuffed in his mouth.

When he was done, Cameron helped him to bed again and turned off all the lights in the room except a single one. As John lay down she covered him with the bed sheet gently.

"You should sleep now." She said, but John scooted over and indicated to her to sit down beside him. "What do you need John?" She asked.

"I can't sleep with you watching me like a hawk, Cameron." John replied with laughter.

Cameron felt…. Sad?

"Do you want me to leave?" She asked.

"No." John protested immediately. "You should lie down beside me."

Cameron hesitated at his request.

"Cameron." John murmured looking into Cameron's eyes. "Please. Stay." He requested.

She smiled gently and immediately laid down beside him on the bed, with her head resting on his chest. John began to play with silky strands of her hair with a smile on his face.

"Why didn't you choose Allison Young? She is a human." Cameron asked out of nowhere.

John was flabbergasted at her question. Where is this coming from? He sighed. She was still feeling insecure over Allison's presence in his life.

"Cameron, I don't care about Allison the way I do for you. She is my friend, nothing more. And I also don't care that you are not human. You are perfect the way you are." John said sincerely.

Cameron looked up into John's face where she saw nothing but sincerity of his words and love shining in his green eyes for her. "Thank you, John." She smiled and leaned forward to catch his lips for a sweet kiss, before she resumed her previous place with her head on John's chest. She liked hearing his heart beat.

"For what?" John asked with a goofy smile on his face.

"For giving me another chance. For believing in me. For loving me." Cameron murmured in his chest.

"You are worth it, Cameron. You are worth everything." John repeated over and over again.

PRESENT TIME

Sarah watched her son and Tin Miss head upstairs after coming back from shopping. She wondered why they were so late. She could tell that John lied about something, he always had a tell whenever he lied. But she couldn't say anything about the Tin Miss. She sighed and decided to talk with John later about it and went outside to the car which they both took for shopping. She needed some necessary things for herself and home too.

She got inside the car and started the engine. She was about to drive away but she didn't when she heard a faint sound coming from behind the car. She got out and went behind the car. The sound was coming from the trunk. She opened the trunk and her eyes widened because inside the trunk there was a man, with his mouth, hands and legs tied up. Sarah didn't recognize the man but from the man's expression she could tell that he had recognized her.

"What the fuck?! Who are you?" Sarah asked angrily.

"FBI Agent James Ellison." Cameron said, appearing out of nowhere.

Sarah looked at her angrily. "What is an FBI agent doing in my car with his mouth, hands and legs tied up?" She looked at her son, who stood there with a grim expression on his face. "John, what were you thinking when you brought him here? The FBI and police will be after us in no time." She asked her son, outraged.

"He has all the answers we need, mom." John replied darkly. "He will tell us who betrayed us."

"Who betrayed us?" Sarah asked, worried.

"Why don't we hear it from his mouth?" John indicated towards Ellison.

While Ellison lay there he had heard everything they said. He had found the Connors or rather they had found him. He had no chance of surviving now. The last thing he saw was a hand coming towards his face, before everything turned black.
