PRESENT TIME

FBI Agent James Ellison groggily and slowly opened his eyes, trying to adjust his vision which was still blurry. He took a few moments for his vision to clear. He immediately realized that he was tied to a chair tightly and his mouth, hands and legs all were tied with a thick rope. He tried to understand where he was and looked at his surroundings. It was some kind of cellar, dark, slightly smelly and damp. He could tell that no sunlight has access to this cellar. He remembered before he blacked out he saw none other than Sarah Connor, herself, standing there in front of him completely healthy and alive. He was in the hands of the why would they kidnap him….unless they knew something? He also saw a teenage boy who must be John Connor, Sarah Connor's son and a teenage girl. That must be the girl everyone was talking about who was responsible for wasting a group of mercenaries all by herself. Ellison was almost ninety nine percent sure that the teenage girl was the same one who saved John Connor near the mall a few days ago. But who is she? Why is she with the Connors? Then his thoughts turned to how he got himself landed here in the first place.

Ellison was sitting in a café with a cup of coffee in front of him, which the waiter had served a few moments ago. Now he was waiting for his contact to arrive. This is a secret but an important meeting. He got orders and pressure from the top that both Sarah and John Connor must be dealt with immediately. His superiors were not ready to hear him out in any way about his belief regarding the Connors. The Connors would get no trial or arrest, they would be shot on sight. That was his order. But he, James Ellison, was not a person who shoots people without giving them a chance to surrender, or the criminals pose a critical threat or where public safety gets involved. Ellison believed that Sarah Connor did not commit the crime for which she was accused. Yes, she did blow up the entire Cyberdyne facility, but she didn't kill Miles Dyson. He knew the reports said otherwise. Some members of the SWAT team who tried to stop the Connors from blowing up Cyberdyne, testified that they saw Sarah Connor shoot Miles Dyson with their own eyes. They couldn't stop it as they were just too late. Miles Dyson's body was never recovered for autopsy, because the explosion had destroyed every last bit of Miles Dyson's body. But he didn't believe that. Miles Dyson's wife herself claimed that she didn't believe that Sarah Connor killed her husband. There were multiple reasons. She had told him when Sarah Connor first assaulted the Dyson residence to kill Miles Dyson, she could've easily killed Miles Dyson, including the rest of the family.

But she didn't.

Tarissa Dyson said Sarah Connor couldn't do it. She couldn't kill Miles. She had backed away on her own. Tarissa Dyson also testified that Sarah Connor never once tried to harm her or her children. Her only intention was to kill Miles Dyson and change the future, change her son's fate. But she couldn't do it, she couldn't kill a human being, even for her own son.

So Ellison doubted that Sarah Connor killed Miles Dyson that day in Cyberdyne building. She had no reason to do so because Miles Dyson was helping her. And adding to that not a single member of the SWAT team received any fatal injury that day in the fight against the Connors. According to witnesses the large man who aided Connors and disappeared after that incident had destroyed the entire SWAT team alone. Ellison had asked the witness how it was possible that a single man stood alone against vast numbers of highly trained SWAT members, but what the witnesses said led Ellison to believe that Sarah Connor may not be delusional at all. As per the testimonies of the witnesses the large man didn't kill them but he had injured them by shooting their legs and whatever the SWAT team threw at him that day had no effect on him, even at an extremely close range. Their testimonies were exactly similar to that of the retired police officer Ed Traxler, who saw the same thing happen once in West Highland Police Station in 1984.

But there were some gaps in Tarissa Dyson's testimony. She told that both her and her husband had believed Sarah Connor that day about the machines from the future and war. But she never mentioned the reason why she or her husband had believed Sarah Connor that day. She even looked scared to death when Ellison asked her about it. Miles Dyson's belief was so strong that he agreed that day to take part in a terrorist activity being just a civilian. In fact he kind of offered to help the Connors to destroy everything he worked on for years.

So far, all the evidence Ellison has gathered pointed to a single way - Sarah Connor wasn't a liar.

He got out of his thoughts when someone greeted him. "Hello, Agent."

Ellison looked up at his contact with a slight smile on his face. "Thank you for coming on such short notice." He gestured towards the chair on the opposite side of his table. "Please, take a seat."

His contact sat down with a grim expression on his face.

"Coffee?" Ellison asked.

"I have not come here to chit-chat with you Agent. I hope you have a very good reason behind calling me here. I hope you understand the risks I am taking right now." Ellison's contact frowned.

"And I appreciate it, Mr. Salceda. I could've met you in your home or at my office, but those places may be watched. So, I chose this place." Ellison said and leaned back on his chair. "Anonymous." He then called the waiter and requested another cup of coffee for his guest.

Enrique frowned. "Don't be so sure, Agent. You don't know Sarah Connor."

Ellison smiled slightly. "Precisely. I don't know Sarah Connor. But you do. That's why we are here today Mr. Salceda. So, you can tell me about her and her son."

Enrique frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Tell me Mr. Salceda, will Sarah Connor ever kill a man in cold blood?" Ellison asked, and took a sip from his cup.

Enrique sighed. "Sarah is many things, but not a murderer. She would do everything for her son John. But murder? No. I don't think so."

Ellison nodded. "How do you know Sarah Connor?"

"I know Sarah truly believes what she says about the machines. I have seen her training her son John, since he was three years old. Guerilla training. For survival but never to kill. During that time she had requested me to prepare a cache of weapons for John, which she believed her son would need in the distant future." Enrique explained.

"Where is that weapon cache?" Ellison asked.

"Long gone. Sarah had taken it away. I don't know where." Enrique answered.

"Very well. What can you tell me about John Connor? What was he like?" Ellison questioned again.

"John was a normal kid. But he went through extensive hard training which a normal boy or girl of his age would never even dream of. I remember though that he had an interest in playing chess. He had exceptional talent in strategy and forming plans even when he was just three years old. I had seen him defeating people who were experts in playing chess for years." Enrique smiled fondly.

Ellison had to agree with Enrique that what he heard about John Connor was really extraordinary. "What about the young girl who stays with them? Have you seen her before?"

"Not until recently. No." Enrique shook his head.

"What can you tell me about her?" Ellison asked, leaning forward on the table, looking at Enrique. He was really interested in the girl who is living with the Connors.

"Can't say much about her except that she seems a bit odd." Enrique said.

"Odd?" Ellison asked, confused. "In what way?"

"Well, when she visited my house with the Connors her behavior was rather odd, as if she was looking for any incoming danger all the time. She got confused in simple conversations. The most bizarre thing which made me a bit nervous was as long as she stayed her eyes never wavered away from me, even for a second. I told them a lie that day, which I know both Sarah and John believed, but she did not. I could tell by the signs of doubts on her face." Enrique explained.

Ellison fixed his tie disturbed from what he heard. "You know this girl is probably responsible for murders of at least twenty people?"

"Murder? That girl?" Enrique snorted a bit. "Impossible. She is just a petite girl, who will face difficulty while holding a simple auto-rifle in her hand, let alone shoot them. Believe me Agent, I have seen her. I can tell."

"Maybe. Maybe not." Ellison muttered. He then stared back at Enrique. "You were close to both Sarah and John Connor and they seem to trust you. Then why did you betray them? You obviously know that Sarah Connor will not take this betrayal nicely."

Enrique cast down his eyes with regret. He looked ashamed of himself. "I had no choice."

Ellison again leaned back on his chair. He was getting more and more interested in the Sarah Connor case. "Please explain."

Enrique sighed before continuing, "Before Sarah blew up Cyberdyne facility she, her son John and the big man you had shown me in the photograph met me. They needed weapons and ammunition. The big man was odd too, somewhat similar to the girl you were talking about. But he always remained silent, spoke when it was absolutely necessary and it was with John only." Enrique paused for a moment thinking about that day in his past, while Ellison waited patiently. "Anyways before Sarah left, she had warned me that the authorities would be after me. She told me to relocate. Which I did. I ran with my family for years, here and there. Never stayed in the same place for more than a few months. But the day arrived when it was enough and I was caught with my family."

Ellison sat up straight hearing Enrique's confession. "You were arrested?" He asked, flabbergasted.

"Why do you look so surprised, Agent? You didn't know?" Enrique asked, confused.

"No. And no one even bothered to tell me." Ellison murmured. "Please continue."

Enrique seemed hesitant now. The hand that held the coffee cup was now visibly shaking in fear and Ellison had noticed that immediately. "I….it was horrible." He paused for a moment, trying to calm down his racing heart. Then the expression on Enrique's face changed from fear to anger. He glared at Ellison. "I told you that I had no choice but to give away the Connors to the police. It's true. Your superiors have forced me to spill everything I know about them. They had tortured me, my wife and didn't even spared my children. They not only forced me to betray Sarah and John but they also forced me to work for them and give them intel about the whereabouts of the Connors."

Ellison was looking at Enrique with wide eyes. He never thought that his superiors would sink that low to get information out of this man. They tortured an innocent woman and her children? This is not the way of the FBI. They are public servants, responsible for the protection of the society, not torture innocent people. The way Enrique described his superiors they acted like maniacs, terrorists who would go down to any length to achieve their goals.

But maybe Enrique was lying, trying to cover up the real reason?

"I am sorry I can't believe your words, Mr. Salceda. This is not the way the FBI works." Ellison denied the charges made by Enrique against his department.

"Believe what you want, Agent. But your belief won't make the truth turn to lies." Enrique replied angrily.

Ellison sighed. He didn't believe Enrique at all. "Where is your family now Mr. Salceda?"

Enrique glared at Ellison. "You tell me Agent!" He spat angrily. "I have never seen my family after that day. Your superiors told me that my family will be returned to me once they arrest Sarah Connor and her son. Not before that and if I even try to warn or contact the Connors in any way I would never see my family again."

Ellison was already suspicious about the charges that were brought against Sarah Connor and then the shoot on sight order from his superiors. But now with Enrique's revelations he was not sure for whom he was really working for anymore. Is it really the FBI? Or someone else?

Enrique may be lying. But he had no reason to lie when he had already spilled everything on the table and whatever he had told Ellison everything seemed to fit now.

Ellison placed one of his hands on Enrique's shoulder sympathetically. "I believe your words, Mr. Salceda. But I am afraid I can't help you with your family. I don't know how to."

Enrique smiled sadly. "Of course, you can't Agent. You are one of them."

Ellison shook his head. "I am not one of them, Mr. Salceda. Not anymore if your words are true. But I need evidence."

"No!" Enrique protested, looking terrified. "Please! Don't! They will kill my family."

"Mr. Salceda…." Ellison tried to make him understand but he was not listening.

"Go to her. Tell her everything you know. She will help." Enrique requested, catching Ellison's hands with his own. "Seek Sarah Connor. She can help us all." He blabbered again.

Ellison closed his eyes and sighed. "Mr. Salceda, you said that if you get in touch with the Connors your family will die. Why are you asking me to find Sarah Connor? Do you trust her?"

Enrique rubbed away the unshed tears in his eyes. "What choice do I have now? I don't even know whether my family is still alive or not and I certainly do not believe your superiors. The only person I can trust now is Sarah." He stopped for a moment as if he was considering something. "Let me tell you something Agent. It is not only my belief or trust that I know Sarah didn't kill Mr. Dyson that day. After I was arrested and tortured, your superiors were talking about the false case on Sarah. They admitted with their own mouth that they know that Sarah did not kill Miles Dyson. The members of the SWAT team who testified against Sarah are the one who killed Mr. Dyson that day."

Ellison's eyes widened in astonishment. The SWAT team killed Miles Dyson? Yes, he was helping the Connors but he was still a civilian and had no past crime record. So why would the SWAT team shoot him on sight? This doesn't make any sense, yet everything fits now, like pieces of a puzzle.

"How do you know all these?" Ellison asked with surprise in his voice.

"After they tortured me they thought that I had passed out because of pain. But I was conscious and had heard everything. There's one other thing too." Enrique said.

Ellison looked at him with more surprise on his expression. "What other thing?"

"Although they are looking for both Sarah and John, their main target is John. If they find him, they will kill him. Sarah is only a means for them to get to John." Enrique said.

Ellison was a bit confused now. "You could've warned the FBI when the Connors came to you asking for help. Why didn't you?"

Enrique seemed hesitant. But Ellison wouldn't let go. He gave up and told Ellison the truth. "I wanted to but at the same time, I couldn't. Sarah and John are like family to me. Even if your superiors kept their word and returned my wife and children, I wouldn't be able to bear the look of hatred on their face for me." Enrique smiled slightly looking at Ellison. "What can I say, Agent? I had a change of heart, you could say."

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" Ellison asked, slightly angry.

"I was not sure who to trust. But now I know that you are not one of them and my only chance to contact Sarah. For only she can help us all. Seek her. She is in this city." Enrique requested.

Ellison nodded and agreed to find Sarah Connor immediately. Fast. But he didn't know that the Connors would get to him before he could get to them. Once Enrique had left the café, Ellison paid for the bills and tips, then headed outside the cafe. He went for his car which he had parked near an alley off the main street. He was unlocking the door of his car, when suddenly a young girl with a frightened expression on her face came running to him for help.

She desperately grabbed the front of his coat with tears in her eyes.

"Please, sir. Help my brother. They are hurting my brother." She mumbled.

Ellison tried to calm down the girl but she wasn't listening. "Please, sir." She requested again.

"Fine, lead me to your brother's location." Ellison agreed.

The girl smiled gratefully and ran towards the alley. Ellison followed hurriedly. She turned left, right, left, left and then stopped. Ellison stopped beside her and looked around. But he saw no one there.

"Where is your brother?" Ellison asked, a little suspicious but it was too late.

With lightning fast reflexes the girl stuck his wrist which forced him to drop his gun on the ground. Before he could even react he felt a blow on his neck and then he knew no more.

Now Ellison heard footsteps climbing down the stairs to the cellar where he was. Among the darkness his vision suddenly flooded with a bright light.

"Agent Ellison…" A woman came to his view. "Do you know who I am?"

"Sarah Connor." Ellison said, looking into the woman's eyes.

"What are your intentions, Agent, apart from trying to arrest me?" Sarah asked.

Ellison shook his head sideways. "My orders were not to arrest you but to shoot you on sight. Including your son, John Connor." Ellison said the truth.

Sarah immediately tensed. Immediately a gun appeared in her hand. She pointed the gun towards Ellison's head. "I can't let you do that, Agent."

Ellison was not scared, not really. He had faced situations like this before. "Not my goal anymore. I don't know who I am working for anymore. The FBI is corrupted now. And…." Ellison slightly hesitated looking at Sarah Connor's anger which was clearly visible on her face.

"And what?" Sarah asked angrily.

"I can make him talk." Another voice said.

A girl appeared in Ellison's view among the darkness of the cellar. She was the same girl Ellison was looking for. "You!" Ellison said, looking at Cameron.

Cameron remained silent.

"You have no choice but to tell us everything, Agent." John said, appearing beside Cameron and his mother. "What do you want?"

"You said you are not looking forward to killing us anymore. Then what do you want?" Sarah asked.

"Look, I was looking for you people for help." Ellison replied truthfully.

"Help?" Everyone's eyebrows shot upwards, except Cameron's, who just stared blankly at Ellison.

"Why should we help you?" Sarah asked while glaring at the FBI Agent.

"Not me. Someone else asked for your help." Ellison said.

"Who?" John asked, coming forward.

"Enrique Salceda. He asked for your help." Ellison revealed and everyone looked shocked, even Cameron. "Please let me explain."

Then Ellison told them everything. Both his and Enrique's side of the story. After he was done explaining his side of the story, everyone was silent. It was Sarah who broke the silence first. "So, you don't believe that I had killed Miles?"

Ellison nodded. "I do not. But evidence…."

"I am not looking for evidence." Sarah spat, she didn't care. Not really as long as John is safe.

"I do not believe your story about the machines though." Ellison said suddenly.

Sarah looked indifferent. She didn't care what the Agent believed. But John had other ideas. He looked at Cameron.

"Then we should give him the proof." John said, looking at Ellison. Then he turned to Cameron. "Show him."

Cameron came forward and lifted the Agent up clean off the floor along with the chair easily. Ellison was shocked that such a petite girl could lift him like that. Even a strong man would struggle to do this. But this girl didn't even break a sweat. Then in the darkness of the cellar Cameron made her eyes glow bright blue, scaring the Agent completely. Ellison began to sweat in fear. He had been through many dire situations before where he had to risk his life multiple times, but he never saw something like this.

"Wh…What are you?" Ellison stuttered looking at Cameron.

"Everything is true, Agent Ellison. The stories of the machines are all true. Even Skynet. I am a machine Agent. Cybernetic Organism. Terminator. Living tissue over a metal endoskeleton, designed for one purpose - to terminate humans." Then Cameron lowered the Agent on the ground again as easily as she picked him up earlier.

Ellison could only stare at her with slack jaws.

LATER, CONNOR SAFEHOUSE, DINING ROOM

Derek looked at the other three occupants in the room- Sarah Connor, John Connor and of course the machine sticking close to John, much to his distaste. He glared at her but the machine didn't even look at him, it was looking at John who was sitting on a chair while it stood just behind him, as if marking a territory. He tried to ignore it for the moment.

"Do you think that this FBI Agent is telling the truth?" Derek asked, looking at John, who seemed to be in deep thoughts.

"I believe so. Or at least he is saying what he believes to be true." John murmured.

"So what are we going to do about it?" Derek asked, while eyeing Sarah Connor, who seemed to be disturbed at all the revelations from the Agent.

John looked at his mother. "Mom, what do you think?"

Sarah seemed more than disturbed. She felt betrayed. "I don't know, John. This is all so unexpected. I still can't believe Enrique betrayed me, us."

John sighed. "To be fair, Cameron already warned us about Enrique. But we didn't listen." Sarah nodded but remained silent. "Mom." John called her softly. "We have to make a decision."

"I say we should waste him. He is a security risk." Derek suggested.

John knew Derek was right. Even Sarah knew that but still they couldn't just go around and kill him. And Enrqiue had a reason to betray them. He was coerced to betray them. He was given no choice. John shook his head.

"No." He said. "We will save his family."

"What?!" Derek asked, outraged. "John! You can't be serious!"

"I am dead serious, Derek." John said, looking into Derek's eyes. At that moment when Derek looked at John, he didn't see a kid who acted on impulse, but he saw his General, John Connor. The Leader of the Human Resistance. He saw the confidence in John's eyes.

Derek looked at Sarah helplessly. "Sarah, at least you will understand the risk John is taking by accepting to save the family of the man who betrayed us."

Sarah looked at her son. He was no longer the kid she knew even a couple of days ago. He has grown up several years within a couple of days. "Although I don't like the idea of risking John's life out there, he is right. We can't just leave Enrique's family out there in the hands of the Grays. We owe him a lot."

Derek sighed irritably. He sat down on the sofa. "Fine." He grumbled. "What do you want to do? We don't even know for sure whether his family is still alive or not."

"There is a chance that they are still alive.. I am willing to take it." John murmured.

"This is tactically very dangerous, John. This may be a trap." Cameron interrupted.

"See, even the tin can agrees with me." Derek protested.

John ignored him and looked at Cameron. "We need to do this, Cameron. Enrique had done a lot for us in the past. It is time to return the favor."

Cameron nodded. "It is your decision, John. I will help you."

John smiled gratefully. "I know. Thanks, Cameron." He paused then looked at everyone else in the room. "But tonight we are going after the Japanese AI as per our planning.

Everyone agreed with him.

HAMPTON INN, 5500 HOURS

A car stopped several meters away from the main gate of the Hampton Inn. There were four occupants in the car. John and Cameron got down from the car.

"Be careful out there, John." Sarah requested her son.

John smiled. "I will be fine, mom."

"I will not let anything happen to him, Sarah." Cameron added.

Sarah glared at Cameron. "If you don't then I will take you apart piece by piece."

"And I will let you." Cameron replied sincerely.

"Listen." John said, looking at his mother and Derek. "You guys stay here and watch out for any suspicious activity. And if things go south, stop them from escaping."

"Yes, sir." Derek saluted with a smile.

John grinned. "Shut up, Derek." Then he turned to Cameron. "Let's go."

The two of them walked past the gate, together. John glanced at Cameron for a moment. She looked really gorgeous in the dress she was wearing. She has applied slight make up, which in his opinion was unnecessary, a red lipstick, which made her perfect features made better even if that was possible. She has also applied a slight eyeliner which John didn't fail to notice. Her nails were polished perfectly with black nail polish. In one word she looked perfect. He wondered how she managed to look so perfect all the time without even trying. Cameron had noticed John was staring at her.

"Anything wrong, John? I saw you looking at me." She asked.

"No. No." John flushed. "It's just that you are looking beautiful, Cameron." He complimented her..

Cameron smiled at him. "Thank you, John. You are looking handsome too."

John instantly turned red at her praise. "Thanks."

They got inside the Hampton Inn. But something was off. There were no other customers visible anywhere. The workers could be seen here and there though. As they were both guided to the dining area, John looked around for signs of something out of place. But he didn't see anything unusual. He looked at Cameron and realized that she had also noticed the lack of people here. The worker who had escorted them informed John that the area was solely booked for their meeting tonight, that's why there are no other customers today. But John didn't believe him entirely.

"Be ready, John. For anything." Cameron whispered to him.

John nodded.

Suddenly all the lights were turned off and everywhere was pitch dark. But not to Cameron. She instantly grabbed John and pulled him behind a large wall.

"What the hell! Do you see anything?" He asked Cameron.

Cameron indicated to him to remain silent as she looked for signs of threats.

"Fifteen men. All heavily armed. Equipped with night vision goggles." Cameron informed him.

"Damn it." John cursed under his breath.

"John Connor!" A loud voice sounded there. "It will be wise for you to give up and come out quietly."

John remained silent for he knew any sound from him would give out his hiding place. John couldn't see Cameron but he couldn't feel her presence beside him anymore. He knew she had already started working out a way from here.

Cameron left John at his hiding place and moved from cover to cover quickly and silently. Sure the Grays had the advantage here. They were greater in number and had night visions while John is completely blind. She needed to give back John his vision.

She had already spotted one Gray walking around with a gun in his hand, looking for John. Avoiding the enemies' visions was no problem for her as there were plenty of covers around. And she was silent and fast. The perfect assassin. She quietly crept behind the Gray who was slightly strayed away from the others. She grabbed him from behind and snapped his neck. She was even quick enough to catch the falling gun from his hand. It was an AK-74 auto rifle. She then detached the night vision from the man's head and again crept towards the hiding place where John was. She slowly approached him trying not to startle him. And when she was there beside him, he just knew that it was her, as if he could feel her presence.

"Cameron?" He whispered only for her ears.

She didn't answer. Instead she placed the night vision over his eyes and he'd let her without any protest or hesitation. John got his vision back and saw Cameron beside him with an AK-74 in her hand. He silently thanked Cameron.

"Fourteen to go." She whispered back to John. He nodded. He then immediately texted his mother and Derek about the situation inside. "Stay here." Cameron ordered as she slipped away again.

John didn't dare even peek. Because the Grays could easily spot him with their night vision goggles. On the other hand Cameron took down one more silently, retrieving two mags from his body. She chose to remain silent as long as she could, trying to avoid firefight. If she was alone she wouldn't have hesitated but John could get caught between firefights.

"Come on out Connor. I will grant you a quick death. Just a bullet between the eyes." One of the Grays mocked.

Cameron looked around and she realized that they still didn't realize the absence of two of their men. "Where's the girl?" Another Gray asked.

"With Connor, probably." Another one answered.

"Kill them both?" The second Gray asked.

"Our orders are strict. Connor is one slippery bastard. We can't allow him to escape this time." The first Gray replied. "Watch the corners. He could be hiding anywhere."

As they talked and looked around for John, they failed to notice that their numbers were growing small one by one. Cameron took them down silently and efficiently, one by one, without firing a single shot. But they noticed now. They were fifteen in number and now they were only ten.

"Wait a minute. Where are the others? Why are we only ten?" One the Grays asked.

"Bastard." One of the Grays cursed. "Someone is out there."

"Is it Connor?" Another one asked while looking around.

"I don't think it is Connor. He is a fucking kid."

Cameron knew it was time to strike. Within a few seconds they would notice John's hiding place. And they have already spotted that some of them were already down. Cameron was directly behind the Grays. She opened fire at them with her rifle. Two men were instantly down, others scrambled behind covers. One of the Grays tried to peek at her and he was instantly shot between his eyes and dropped dead. The others open fire at Cameron's position. Like other terminators Cameron didn't just stay there to take shots. She ducked behind the cover and changed her place. They could see her but she was too fast for them.

Soon their numbers dropped to four.

But Cameron's gun clicked empty.

John had noticed that. He knew Cameron could take care of them without a gun but he didn't want her to take unnecessary punishment. From his place he had direct sight to one of the Grays behind cover. He didn't hesitate. He shot the Gray who dropped on the ground with a yell. But it did give away his position.

"There he is!" One the remaining Grays shouted. They immediately begin to fire towards John, completely ignoring Cameron.

The cover behind which John stood was not very thick. Against the auto fire of the rifles John realized it wouldn't hold longer. On the other side Cameron didn't waste any time. She was on top of the Grays and kicked him against his ribs, killing the man instantly. The other two whirled around towards her but she had already snatched the rifle from the man she just killed. Before the remaining two Grays could even fire, Cameron ended their life. Before they could even blink. She scanned the area and saw none of the bodies were moving. She wanted to be sure but John was already out from behind the cover and beside her.

"Cameron, are you okay?" John said, looking at her. He could see her dress was torn to shreds and the lower half of her dress was completely torn apart.

"John…." Cameron tried to say but her words had remained unspoken.

There was a loud bang and John's eyes widened. He dropped on the ground instantly. Cameron's eyes widened in shock. She instantly spotted the threat. The Gray whom John had shot didn't die. He now had a smoking handgun in his hand and was laughing maniacally.

Cameron instantly kicked the gun away from his hand and lifted up the Gray easily above the ground. Unbeknownst to her, tears were freely falling from her eyes.

"John Connor is dead. Skynet has won." The Gray said, looking at John's body.

Her eyes glowed blue in anger. She punched the Gray right through his torso. The Gray made a gurgling noise and his eyes rolled up in unimaginable pain as Cameron's fingers wrapped around his spine. Effortlessly she tore out his spine with her bare hand and let his dead body drop on the ground.

She moved lighting fast towards John, who was lying on the floor. She picked up his head from the floor on her lap. "John! John!" She called while crying. Cameron doesn't know what was happening to her. In similar situations like this she would have remained calm and assessed the situation and injury on the victim's body. But now she couldn't think straight. Logical choices and thinking vanished. All her systems were malfunctioning, giving her warnings in her HUD which she ignored. The only thing she could think about was John, who lay in her lap, his eyes closed, and his body unmoving.
