AN: I wanna thank everyone for all the reviews, love and support they've given this very old fic! Just a tidbit before we begin, Amber's last name isn't Potter. Only Harry carries that last name as Zander is not a Potter. Rose is Lily's sister in this AU, so her maiden name is Evans, but their last name is Darken.

"Rose," I turned from the kitchen sink, having been cleaning the dishes to see Sirus walking through the front door, an odd look on his face.

"Where were you?" I asked sternly, like me, Sirius was not to go outside, without Xayla or Zander. Honestly, it was probably even more important for him, as it was imperative that he not get caught by wizarding authorities. If he did, it would be very bad for all of us, so we avoided that risk as much as possible.

"I need to talk to you." He said, ignoring my question.

"I'll talk to you, when you've told me where you've been." I huffed, pressing my lips together as I turned, dried my hands and hung the towel back up before looking at him once more.

"Can we at least go into the living room to talk about it?" My brows furrowed, I nodded and reluctantly followed him out of the kitchen. We walked into the living room and making our over, we sat on the couch. From his robes, he now pulled out a stack of what looked like photos and holding them, he glanced from me to them and back again before finally offering them to me. "I was at my old house and found those." He gestured at the stack of photos that I'd taken into my own grasp.

I sucked in a sharp breath, my heart jumping into my throat as I looked through the photos. There were pictures of James, Sirius, Remus, Peter and even some of Lily. The pictures moved as the people inside them smiled and waved or gave a cheery thumbs up. In one that made me let out a breathy laugh, James and Sirius were wresting, with James eventually sitting on Sirius face as they cackled. They all looked so happy in these photos, so excited to be alive and near each other.

I handed the photos back to Sirius and just sat there for a moment, trying not to cry before I asked in a quiet voice, "What is it you want to talk to me about?" By the contents of those photos, I had a suspicion, but I needed him to say it, needed him to confirm to me that this was really what he wanted.

Sirius watched me intently for a long moment before he let out a breath. "I want to find Remus, convince him I'm innocent and tell him about Harry."

I knew it. "We can't," I said flatly. "He's too close to Dumbledore." I knew Sirius loved Remus more than he could comprehend, but we couldn't risk it. The danger of exposing everything so soon after we'd gotten Harry settled was terrifying to me. One wrong move and everything could be absolutely demolished,

Sirius ran an anxious hand through his hair, his face scrunched in emotional agony as he plead his case to me. "We can tell him and if it seems like He'll tell Dumbledore, then we could always just obliviate him."

"Siriu-"

"Rose, please- he was one of my very best friends." He said and I could feel the desperation radiating off of him. If he ever needed a favor from me, it was this. "I miss him so much and I can't imagine how lonely he must be feeling."

"I don't know." I bit my lip, looking at him thoughtfully. Lily had told me about Remus years and years ago and later on, when I'd asked, Zander had told me how unfortunately, werewolves were shunned and treated badly by the greater wizarding community. When I'd first heard of it, I'd been appalled, not understanding how any person could be treated with such callous disrespect.

"Please." He begged, "Remus is the only friend I have left from school." As he spoke, his voice cracked and there were tears brimming in his gray eyes. I looked from him to the photos in his hand, this sudden need to share our secret scaring me. I was already anxious about the future and thinking about sending the kids to school, but then, seeing Sirius Orion Black cry like this- it only added to my severe anxiety and made me want to cry, too. "Plus, Remus has a right to see Harry, He was just as much James' friend as I was."

I took a very deep breath, then another and then, another. We could do this, I'd only been told good things about Remus, so it couldn't go too badly, right? "Alright, let's go talk to Zander and Xayla and if they say it's okay, then I'll do all I can, to help you track down Remus." I said reluctantly. Years ago, I had met and absolutely adored Remus but things had changed with time and now, I was more inclined to be suspicious than anything.

"Let me talk to them alone, first." Sirius said, hugging me tightly. "This is a very personal conversation Id like to have with everyone.' He blinked away his tears, hope replacing the desperation.

"You really love him, don't you?" Sirius nodded and I could feel it in my heart that this was true.

I honestly hadn't thought he'd be able to convince Xayla, let alone Zander, but when they all three came to me some time later in confirmation, I knew that this was something that needed to be done. Despite all the paranoia I felt, Remus was not only Sirius' friend after all, but he had been James' friend, too and was a Godfather to Harry. Zander had met and known Remus' father, who'd been a mentor to him when Zander had wanted to help the order, so he'd also met Remus, which helped my stomach ache less.

So, about six hours after my friend had first approached me, Sirius and I stood silently outside a small muggle apartment, each looking from the other to the door in anticipation. We'd left Zander and Xayla to watch the children, but I'd wanted to come, despite my feelings. Sirius was my friend and I had more history with the marauders and Lily, so I felt I could help more if things became strained.

I glanced at Sirius, who nodded for me to knock. We were as ready as we'd ever be, so lifting my hand, I knocked on the door. We only had to wait a couple of minutes before the door opened to reveal a man with chocolate brown hair and tired, honey brown eyes. He looked shabby, like a man who needed more sleep than he could ever catch up on. His robes were old and worn and he had scars and fresh scratches lining his body.

"Can I help you?" He asked, not being able to recognize us because Sirius had changed our looks before we had left.

"May we come in and speak with you?" I asked politely, my heart beating hard against my chest.

He looked at us suspiciously and asked, "Again, who are you? And What do you want to talk about?" The war had hardened his trust in others and I could tell that he didn't get out much, didn't communicate, had stopped caring and that broke my heart more than anything. This once bright and shining beacon had become a shell of his former self.

I looked at Sirius because I had no idea what to say. Sirius didn't even glance at me as he said, his voice even and quiet. "We want to talk about Padfoot."

Slowly pulling out his wand, he opened the door for us to come in and asked "Do you know where Padfoot and Harry are?"

"Before we say anything, I'm going to tell you a story." Sirius said, his voice still steady. He was going to say his piece and he was going to be heard. We entered the small apartment and sat down in the living room, glancing at one another as we did, we were determined to tell Remus everything. The young werewolf raised an eyebrow, sighed then nodded for Sirius to continue. Despite not even realizing who we were, it was as if we were all already bonded together. As if in spite of everything, he was just another piece that fit ever so perfectly into our family.

"Once upon a time," began Sirius, leaning forward on the couch, so his elbows were on his knees as Remus closed the door. "There were four young men, now these men were as close as brothers. They had known each other since they were boys. Only... One of the young men had a wife and son-"

Remus held up a hand, interrupting Sirius. "I knew you'd come eventually. You're Padfoot aren't you?" The way he said this made me flinch. there was nothing short of pure hate in his voice.

Sirius bowed his head as he blinked tears from his eyes, he did not want to look weak, not now when he needed to be so strong. "Please Remus, you have to believe me I'm innocent. Please, let me explain." He pleaded, voice cracking.

Remus waved his wand and Sirius and I turned back into ourselves. "Who are you?" he asked me. He was pointing his wand at Sirius' chest.

"My name is Rose Darken, née Evans and please before you kill us or call Dumbledore, or whatever it is you're going to do, you should at last hear our side of the story." I said, sounding more calm than I felt.

Remus grit his teeth, "How am I to tell if you're telling the truth or not?"

"Sticking my hand in my pocket, I pulled a small vial with clear liquid out and held it up for Remus to see.

"Is that?" Remus asked stunned. Even Sirius looked rather taken aback, obviously not having thought of doing this.

"Yes it is." I said grinning as Remus gently took the vial from my hand and walked into the kitchen. He came back out several moments later with two cups of what I soon found out was pumpkin juice.

"Just had to make sure it was real." He said and I agreed that on his part, that had been the smart thing to do.Remus handed a cup to each of us and We drank deeply. Me being a muggle, had never had Veritaserum, and to be honest, It felt really weird. I had complete control over my thoughts but I had no control over what came out of my mouth unless it was truthful.

Walking over to sit now, Remus began the interrogation. "Is Sirius innocent?"

"Yes" We said in unison.

"What happened?" Remus asked, looking directly at Sirius.

"I convinced Lily and James to switch secret keepers at the last second, I also convinced them not to tell you because at the time I believed you to be Voldemort's spy because of what you are." Sirius explained then he continued, "Wormtail is the traitor, I'm innocent. I tracked him down that night and we fought. Zander- her husband detained me before the ministry could."

"Is Harry with you?" Remus said and I could tell he was hurt, having now realized that despite everything they'd all been through, his friends had still assumed him a Death Eater simply because of his "furry little problem".

"Yes." I answered truthfully.

Remus turned to look at me and asked "Just to make certain, tell me again who you are, How do you know Harry and is Harry safe?"

"I am Lily's oldest sister. I'm a muggle and from what Sirius has told She rarely mentioned me to any of you, because for a little while as a teenager, she thought I, like our other sister, thought her a freak, which I don't. I was quite older than her growing up, seven years older to be exact and yes Harry Is safe and with my wizard husband and his sister." I said.

"And Why are you here?" Remus finally asked.

"Because Sirius wants to prove his innocence to you and we want you to meet little Harry. We know this is what James and Lily would have wanted." I said because Sirius had gone completely silent.

"Why doesn't Dumbledore know about you? Why take him from his other aunt?"

At this, I gave a sarcastic laugh. "Petunia despises anything magic or abnormal to her. If Harry had lived with her, she'd have been awful to him." Remus bit his lip as I continued, "As for Dumbledore, he and my husband don't get along. I don't know all the details, so you'll have to talk to him about it, but if he doesn't trust the old man, neither do I."

"We love a supportive woman." Sirius nudged me and I grinned.

Remus watched us for a long moment, his eyes suddenly wet, but managing to blink away the pain, and sudden realization that not all in his world was lost, he walked over to Sirius and without warning, yanked him up and wrapped him in a tight brotherly hug. Sirius hugged him back as again he blinked away the tears that filled his eyes as well. Sirius then, seriously began telling Remus how he had cornered Peter and how Peter had blown up all those muggles and faked his own death.

He explained how Zander and Xayla had got him and then he began telling him how things have been since then, how Harry was, how he and Xayla had fallen in love and how now, he was going to be a father. At this news, Remus cheered and they hugged again, crying to one another as they shouted in glee. Remus congratulated him and Sirius beamed with pride.

As I watched them talk, I noticed how there was no more anger or hatred in Remus' voice and eyes, nor apparently could he keep the hurt for very long for when he talked and\or looked at Sirius, I had to smile to myself because I knew Remus would not do anything to mess up the friendship that was just mending and I knew he would not be going to Dumbledore and telling him about this little meeting. There was just so much love and trust there and it was beautiful to witness. More than anything, if made me miss my own sisters and how close we used to be before Lily went off to Hogwarts.

"I'm floored- Sirius finally got himself a witch." Remus said, then to me. "Let me guess, she keeps him in his place?"

"Oh, she sure!" I said with a laugh and Sirius lightly shoved me with a laugh.

"I'm not a white knight, Rose. That's your husband you're thinking of."

"Oh, I bet he's a total white knight." I cackled and gave Remus a big hug, he would fit right in with us.
