A/N: Heeeeey, how are you guys doing? Good? Emotionally damaged from how last couple chapters ended? I know I was, but doing worry, it gets better- maybe :)

Anywaaay, this is the official start to the second arc but don't worry, it'll be great! I've been working really hard on it and I've even gone back through and have started editing and revamping the previous chapters in the story, so be looking out as I do that. Now, onto answering some reviews!

Don'tForgetThePincers - Sam is almost exactly one year younger than Henry. He was Born September 1st, 1981, so he'd go to Hogwarts when Hen starts his second year, not his first!

Guest - As for your comment, it's very important to note that when I write stories in a first person perspective as I do here, I don't write it without each characters bias and beliefs. Each and every character has intricate and unique thoughts and feelings that go into every word I write, so if that character has a belief in fate, then it will show in how I write them. If I were to write in a third person perspective where the narrative is told outside of the character, then that characters bias wouldn't matter but in this case it does.

Now, that was a lot, but finally! We can get on with the story! Yippy !

I hope you enjoy and please Review when you're done, your feedback really means a lot to me!

Once upon a time, many ages ago— yes, even long before Merlin, even before the founders of Hogwarts roamed the Earth and even before the birth of Nicholas Flamel, a young wizard was born unlike any other, and his name was Jarich Lu'ire Stanova.

Hailing from the seas, Jarich was born to a young couple aboard his maternal grandfather's pirate ship and thus, right from birth, his adventures began. From sea to sea and shore to shore, Jarich's parents went around pillaging and making mayhem wherever they went, while their son however preferred a different way of life.

Though his parents were minimally educated and tried their best to raise him up to be just like his father and grandfather, he wasn't happy unless he was laying under his covers and learning. Because of his differences with his family, the only thing Jarich ever stole for the first seven years of his life were books and school things from the various villages his parents plundered through and it wasn't until he turned eight years old, that he found the thing that would change his life.

Written by an old wizard explorer, it was a book of the world's geography and some history, though to appeal to young boys, the information was told through the tales of a young explorer, who slew many beasts, saved princesses and found friendship and courage along the way.

It was a book to rival any other and it's stories of adventures untold and worlds unexplored inspired Jarich so much that when he was ten, he decided that he wanted to follow in the explorer's footsteps.

When his parents docked their ship near a small island, Jarich got off and left to explore. It was only when his parents were back at sea that the couple realized their son was gone and when they went back to look for him, he was nowhere to be found and they grieved, thinking he'd been lost.

For Jarich Stanova though, the word "lost" didn't seem to exist and he went on and around the island, exploring for days and weeks, not even caring that his parents had left him. Living off of the plants he found along the way, he used all the knowledge he had to survive and explore. His reading had helped him learn many things about how to survive on adventures and as he went about, finding new places, it was then that he was taken by a batch of rough, and dirty pirates.

They'd docked at the peer on the little island on that day and curious, he'd wandered aboard their ship, only to be apprehended and locked up. He then worked for these pirates for the next six months, scrubbing planks and doing loads of really hard chores. He always did as he was told, when he was told, in fear he'd be killed, it wasn't until it was time for him to protect a young maiden on the ship, that everything came to a head.

The nasty pirates had kidnapped the girl of about thirteen and were going to hurt her but in a burst of accidental magic, Jarich threw the men overboard, then stole their boat to sail away. For months, he and the maiden were lost at sea and though they had the food the pirates left behind, they would run out soon enough and then, Jarich feared that they would die.

Before this happened however, they finally found themselves on land, where they left the boat forever and Jarich took the young lady with him as he went exploring ever more.

Months, and soon years passed them by and along the way, Jarich began to learn how to use and hone his magic, with the maiden right by his side. The more he learned about magic, the more he wanted to grow his own and learn and use it for exploring.

In doing this, he soon found himself traveling through many villages, where others who had magic could teach him things he hadn't already learned, so that by the time he had already lived twenty-five years, he was becoming quite the well educated wizard and a far cry from the dirty little pirate child he'd been in his youth.

By the time he had lived twenty-eight years, he had become a master of apparition and transfiguration, which served the young explorer well on his journeys. The maiden, who was now a woman that the explorer lovingly called Maire Butterfly had decided herself to settle down, but not quite ready to do so yet, Jarich continued on his journeys, and eventually, he began to do things that would help others, who in return began to call him The Legender.

Unlike heroes and explorers before him, however, Jarich had made a point of never solving a conflict with his wand or sword, but instead, he chose to solve things with a loving heart and a thoughtful mind. Instead of slewing a dragon, he would capture the beast and take it away, instead of fighting an evil wizard, he would trap him in an extra dimensional bag, then cut ties from that bag to this world. Every decision he made was based on caring for others and he thought that this was a perfect model to go by.

His biggest and most notable challenge however, came in the form of an evil wizard by the name of Atschenan the Ambitious, who was a very powerful and dark wizard of his time.

With an animagus of a Dragon, Atschenan went around, killing many, so he could gain power and that was his main ambition— power, so though he started off by killing off humans, then those in the magical community, he soon moved on to bigger prey, such as Hippogriffs and even once a Sphinx. Hated by many and feared by many more, he got whatever he wanted by taking it and killing anyone who got in his way; human or beast, he didn't seem to care.

Jarich was made aware of Atschenan the Ambitious, when the dark wizard had gone and killed a sparkle, right in front of its unicorn mother. The mother had run off in grief and had gone to the nearest child it could find. The little girl stayed with and comforted the unicorn and once the creature had gone, the little girl went and told her village and from there, word spread until it reached Jarich's ears.

Jarich made his way to investigate the scene, but when he arrived, the dark wizard had already gone. However, the not so young explorer wasn't going to give up that easily and made it his mission to go after Atschenan, who he would find fairly quickly, but not before the evil wizard could start an evil plot to hurt another valuable creature. When Jarich found him, Atschenan had taken a Phoenix Egg and had planned to use it to gain immortality.

Jarich wasn't about to let the dark wizard get away with taking the Phoenix egg, so when they met up, there was a fierce fight, that was so powerful, that it is told by muggle that in the field of which the battle occurred, a lightning storm like no other before it occurred and the sky, lit up like the it was light itself, burned with powerful energy as spells and incantations were delt from both sides. Both fought to their last inch, neither willing to give up until the other was vanquished, but it was ultimately over, when Jarich sacrificed himself to save the egg.

When this happened, when the great sacrifice was made, the unborn Phoenix had a surge in power that resulted in Atschenan the Ambitious losing his life and Jarich managing to stay alive was greatly humbled to see that not only had he saved the life of an unborn Phoenix, but so had it saved his own life.

Once the battle was won and the unborn Phoenix was secured and safe, Jarich was tasked with returning it to the volcano of which it had been taken from and with confidence, he did so diligently and without protest, crossing seas, battling enemies and even dealing with mental and emotional hardships as he did. Getting the baby safely home seemed to be the only thing that kept him going, even when most others in his position would've given up, doing so was never an option for him.

Along the way though, the hero began to worry a great deal, because the bright, red, Jewel-like egg, that once sparkled in the bright sunlight had started to turn a nasty purplish color, as if it were bruising and eventually, Jarich worried that the egg was dying, Thinking hard on what to do, the wizard eventually decided to put the egg in a jar with blue fire surrounding it, since if one read the stars, blue stars are said to burn the hottest and brightest. He knew it wouldn't be too hot for the baby, so it was better to risk that option, then to let the cold, unborn Phoenix die on the journey. As he'd thought, the blue fire seemed to help the egg remain alive, however, the purple had begun to change into a dark, royal blue color. Something Jarich would later claim must've been the result of the magical nature of the fire he'd put the Phoenix egg in.

Jarich reached the volcano after a long journey, and once he arrived, it then became his job to hatch the thing, which he did by taking the egg out of the blue flame and throwing it into the volcano. He watched it fall, anticipation etched into his soul. What would he see? Would the egg slowly crack open like a chicks egg? Or would it glow and the shell melt away?

He soon learned that neither of these things would happen. Instead, as the beautiful egg slammed into the volcano, sending fire and molten rock shooting into the sky there was a massive explosion and In a fiery explosion of dark blue flames, the baby Phoenix was born. It flew from the volcano and landed on a rock before him, before bursting into flames and turning to ashes.

Jarich, mesmerized by the birth of this bird, sat where he'd been sitting since throwing the egg and as he did so, a swarm of Phoenixes moved upon him in gratitude. Never had such a simple wizard ever gone so far to save one of their own. Every day he'd faced hardships that everyone would expect to make him quit, but withstanding it all, he'd arrived and now, in their gratitude, the phoenixes wept over him.

It was when Jarich kneeled before the great birds and bowed in humbleness, that it was decided that a ritual of blessing should be done upon him.

The Blessing ritual is a rare thing to be done to a mortal man and has only been done twice before. What it does however, is bestow upon the blessed, a new name, a Phoenix given name that Jarich would take as his new surname — the name of Skyknight — and certain magical Phoenix-like gifts. Not all are well known, but the few that are, are that firstly, he could not die and when he did, he would burst into flame, only to be born again as an infant, though he retained all his memories from his previous lives and second, it gave his tears and blood healing powers and lastly, it is a gift that can be passed down and given away, though the succession of power can only be given from the blessed to one who is pure of heart and innately good in their nature.

With his new gifts, Jarich swore that he would use them only for good and that he did. Leaving that volcano that day, he continued his exploration though now, with an even wiser mind and a heart of gold. It also helped that Jarich had a special friend with him along his journeys.

It was soon realized when Jarich went off, that the bird had grown so attached to him over the journey he'd taken it on, that it ultimately ended up with the baby Phoenix following him wherever he went, starting when he tried to leave it there at its home. It wouldn't be for many years, that Jarich would return to the maiden who he'd once spent so much time with and settle with her, but during this time, the bird always stayed faithfully loyal to him and remained by his side.

The most peculiar thing to Jarich though was about the bird. It was found that having spent so much time away from its volcano and in the magically made dark blue flames that Jarich had tirelessly made for it, the bird had changed from it and instead of being a red and gold Phoenix, it had become a blue and silver Phoenix, with the silver being pale and almost white in the light.

His Maire Butterfly and he settled for some time before deciding to have any children. Jarich was wanting to wait because he was unsure if he was completely finished with his exploring, but once he did have children, he felt that an all new adventure was awaiting him already inside of the little ones he raised up.

From the time he'd gotten his blessing, Jarich knew that one day, it would go to one of his beloved children, but he had no idea who it would be. That is until the birth of his youngest child, Octavian. Octavian was a bright-eyed, adventurous young spirit, but most of all, he had the purest heart of all of his siblings and when the boy reached sixteen years of age, Jarich knew his time had come when he sensed within his youngest son, that the time had come to bestow upon Octavian, the blessings of the next Pheurix.

When his son was just sixteen, Jarich began to train him and teach him in all the things he knew and eventually, after many years of work, Octavian was to be tested with seven different kinds of tests that very much reflected what his father had gone through, just before he'd been blessed.

There is said to be the test of magic, strength, wisdom, chivalry, selflessness, ambition, and balance. All these things must be found within to be one to receive the gift of the Phoenix blessing. After Octavian was trained, tested and received the gift, Jarich would no longer have it and would die a mortal man. After him and his son, others would go on to be tested and then receive the blessing thereafter, until it finally came to a young Jacob Skyknight, who is now said to be the one Skyknight currently blessed.

(Remus POV)

I closed the book and looked at my sleeping daughter as she snored softly in her bed. I knew she'd only just fallen asleep as I reached the end of the book, but I didn't mind as I leaned over and kissed the side of her head. At almost just six, she was my pride and joy and the only thing in this world that really seemed to make me truly happy.

Even if she was a werewolf, I felt that with her indignation and lack of care of what others thought of her, she was going to grow up to be a strong woman, even despite the odds. I was so glad she liked tales like the legend of The Phoenix Blessed. It gave her good role models to look up to and a since of hope for the future.

We would all need that hope with Lord Voldemort returning and Harry and Henry gone.

I stood up and rubbed my face. It was only eleven, and I was exhausted, but there was no time to sleep, not when we were preparing for war.
