Happy birthday, Mike!

Dear Will,
I've checked that email address a hundred times. I'm sitting in a Taxi right now, on the way to the police station. I woke up, and your email was the first thing saw. I thought I was still dreaming.
This email is the best birthday gift I've ever gotten. The only way to top it is you bursting through my door. I would be happy even if I received nothing else for my birthday. The confirmation that you're alive is all I will ever need.
I just got out of the police station. I forgot Max and Lucas were coming into town today. They've been blowing up my phone. I should've told them where the extra key was so they weren't just standing out in the hall. Their marriage has been off to a good start. Then again, I can't remember if I locked the door. I was rushing.
Okay, I just got home. Max and Lucas found the spare key. I showed them the email. They're freaking out too. We're going to go and try to have an average day. Lucas gave me a critical role t-shirt. I'm wearing it today.
My lock screen is still the same. The one of me, you, Max, Jane, Lucas, and Dustin at high school graduation. It's only been a few short years, but everything has changed.
You said for me to find love. After this email, I can't. I don't want to find love with anyone other than you. I want us to sit in matching rocking chairs one day, yelling at those darn kids. We can run Dungeons and Dragons campaigns for elders.
I love you. I want to scream it from the top of a skyscraper. I will yell it to anyone who will listen. I will never give up on you.
Love, your boyfriend,
Mike
