"But in every other way..."

Harry received the mirror call from Sirius who told him that they had arrived outside Potter Manor. He allowed the wards to let them in before his godfather and Daphne apparated inside the main hall. Remus and Astoria arrived too. Harry noticed the look on Daphne's face and realized something had happened. However, he decided not to ask her about it since he thought she might not want to share it with so many people present there.

"Did you get it?" Remus asked looking at Sirius and Daphne.

Daphne took out a small box from her pocket and enlarged it. Once it was its normal size it was about five feet tall and looked like a cabinet. She then flicked her wand and the thing opened, revealing what resembled a pensive.

"It's a pensive?" Sirius asked. Even he hadn't seen it.

"It just looks like one," Daphne said as she took out the locket from around her neck. She then put it in the large shallow bowl that was part of the locator. As soon as the locket touched it the bowl got filled with a translucent liquid before starting to form ripples around the locket. A minute later the liquid darkened in colour and its ripples started to form contours, similar to those in a map.

"How does this thing work, exactly?" Remus couldn't help but ask.

"The locator," Daphne said, "is using the trace on my locket as a point of reference to detect those of similar magical signatures." She then pointed to the first set of contours which had formed. It had taken a rough shape of the land where the Potter manor was. "You see this set? The locator detected it first through the trace on Astoria because it's the nearest one to mine. It is now looking for the ones that are on my parents. The farther they are the longer it's going to take."

"It can locate Astoria's trace even though she is under the heavy wards of this place?" Sirius asked. Daphne nodded. "That is bloody brilliant! And also powerful. Who came up with the concept?"

"My father," she said. "He knows a lot about wards which is why he made this thing in a way so that it could work even when our location was masked by heavy wards..." she paused as the final set of contours finished forming. They were overlapping which told Daphne that both her parents were in the same place. She conjured a piece of paper that was as large as the locator's bowl. She then put it on the grey liquid and an imprint of the contours appeared on the paper. She then dried the paper before turning to face everyone. "It's done," she said. "They are there," she pointed at the two small dots inside the larger contour marking on the paper.

"That looks like a muggle neighbourhood," Remus said.

"You know the place?" asked Harry.

"Probably," said the lycanthrope. "But it will take me a few tries to get there."

Sirius immediately took out his communication mirror and a few seconds later Amelia's face appeared on it.

"Sirius? Is everything okay?" asked the DMLE head.

"We are hanging," he said. "Listen, I called because I was wondering if I could borrow a few of your aurors."

"What for?" she asked seriously.

Sirius looked at Daphne and Astoria before sighing. "Matt and Ann are missing," he said.

"What? Since when?" Amelia asked.

"Yesterday," Sirius said. "But it's alright now. We have found them. I was wondering if we could get a little help from your aurors in bringing them home, you know? Just in case things turn out to be a little complicated?"

"Yeah...yeah, definitely," Amelia said agreeing immediately. "Come by the ministry. You will have a team ready."

Sirius thanked her before cutting the call. "Alright, I'm heading out. Remus, I'll need your help so you're coming with me. As for you three, stay put. Harry, you have the ward controls of this place. Don't let anyone else through unless it's us. We will arrive outside the wards and then mirror-call you to let us in."

Harry nodded before the two adults left. With Sirius and Remus gone, the kids were left in the manor all by themselves. He turned towards Daphne. She looked at him knowing what he was going to ask her.

"What happened?" Harry asked. "Are you okay?"

"I won't tell you anything unless I know them first," she said slowly before hugging him and breaking down.

Harry hugged her back. He said nothing, because he knew Daphne wouldn't like that. He saw Astoria watching them from the sofa. She then came and hugged them as well. Daphne chuckled as she grabbed her younger sister into a tight hug along with Harry. She knew she could trust them with her life.

Narcissa was in her room, looking at herself in the dresser's mirror as she pondered over her family's future. Lucius had left under Voldemort's order to recruit as many death eaters as possible, leaving her in the manor with hundreds of death eaters and Voldemort himself. As such, she barely left her room. She felt like a prisoner in her own home and worrying about her family's safety was only making it worse for her to spend every minute of every day.

Suddenly she heard a knock and the door to her room opened halfway.

"Ma'am?" a man in black robe peeked inside. He was young, in his early twenties with a skinny face and an average build.

"What is it, Henry?" Narcissa asked signalling the man to enter. He was wearing his death eater robe and had his sleeves rolled up till the elbow, which revealed the dark mark on his forearm. He was wearing the silver skull mask on his head though, which made Narcissa smile a little. He had always been careless with that which other death eater found a bit offensive towards themselves and Voldemort as in their eyes, it meant for them, a sign of disrespect of who they were.

Henry walked in before standing in front of her. He then took out a letter from his robe. "Lord Malfoy told me to give this to you," he said.

Narcissa took the letter from him, looked at it for a moment and then put it aside. "Thank you for bringing it to me," she said. She liked Henry. Unlike other death eaters, he wasn't brutal or enjoyed torturing others. It was weird when one thought about it. He had been taken in by the death eaters when he was still a kid. Lucius had trained him most of his young life and that had earned Henry the man's trust. Which is why he was made Narcissa's personal guard whenever Lucius wasn't around and he had been serving that duty ever since.

Narcissa noticed that Henry didn't leave. "Is there something else?" she asked.

"I was told by Lord Malfoy to make sure that you read his letter," he said.

"Why? What does the letter say?" she asked.

"That I don't know, ma'am," Henry said. "But please read it before we leave."

"We leave?" Narcissa said sounding confused. Henry said nothing else so she opened the envelope and took out the letter. He waited patiently for her to finish reading it and once she had he stood a bit straighter.

"I am supposed to escort you to the location that is mentioned in the letter," he said. "If you have read it, please destroy it so others won't know."

Her eyes became wet as Narcissa quickly tore the letter before throwing it in the fireplace where it turned to ashes. She felt a new sense of relief and hope after knowing that her husband hadn't given up on their family yet. "What about Draco?" she asked.

"I have passed Lord Malfoy's letter to young master," Henry said. "He will know. Please be prepared with everything you need to take. We will be leaving at midnight."

"They are here," Harry said as he received Sirius' mirror-call. He let them in and the two apparated in the main hall with an unconscious Matt and Ann. Daphne and Astoria ran over to them, checking on their parents who Sirius carefully put on a conjured bed.

"The auror medic said that they are fine. They are just unconscious, that's all," he said.

"Thank you," Daphne said. "I owe you a life debt."

"No you don't," Sirius said. "Your family helped me prove my innocence. It's the least I can do."

Daphne hugged the man who was surprised by it. He glanced at Harry who was looking at his godfather with a smile on his face. She then hugged Remus as well.

"Dobby and I have prepared them a room," Harry said. "Let's take them there." Remus and Sirius nodded before they floated Ann and Matt over to the room. "How long do you think it will take for them to wake up?"

"Probably half to one hour, from what the auror medic said," Remus said. They settled the couple in the room.

"Come on," Sirius said putting a hand on Harry's shoulder. "Let's leave them alone." He nodded before leaving with Sirius and Remus. The sisters stayed in the room with their parents.

"Tori," Daphne said once the Greengrasses were alone. Astoria looked at her sister. "There is something I want to talk to mum and dad in private, once they wake up." Astoria nodded, knowing what Daphne meant.

Outside the room, Harry, Sirius and Remus were in the main hall when the werewolf spoke. "So, will you tell me what is going on?" he asked looking at Sirius.

Harry followed Remus' glance. "What...is going on?" he asked in confusion. Sirius remained quiet.

"Something happened when he and Daphne were at Gringotts," Remus said.

Harry realised that Sirius probably knew. Even he wanted to know what had Daphne looking like that when she and Sirius had returned from Gringotts. He looked at his godfather, hoping that Sirius would tell him.

"It's not my place to tell," the man said. "It's Daphne's. And it's not an easy thing to know or talk about. So, I am sorry."

Remus and Harry shared a glance. "Don't be," Harry said. "We didn't know."

Inside the room, Ann woke up first. Astoria wasted no time and hugged her mother even before the woman could realize where she was or what was going on. She looked confused before slowly sitting up on the bed.

"Do you know how worried we were?" Astoria said wiping her tears.

Ann looked around. "What...happened?" she said when her eyes fell on Matt. She then looked at her daughters. "Where are we?" she asked.

"At Potter Manor," Daphne said. "Do you remember what happened to you?"

"No," Ann said. "I remember we were at..." she paused just before she could say where they were as she quickly stole a glance from Daphne. "No, I don't," she said finally.

Just then Matt groaned and woke up too. Daphne held Astoria before she could shock their father by hugging him like she had Ann.

"Honey?" Ann said looking at Matt.

Matt opened his eyes and just like his wife, was confused as to where he was when he saw his whole family in the room. "What...is going on?" the words escaped his mouth before he could even think.

"You and mum are at Potter Manor," Daphne said again. "Everyone risked their lives to find you and bring you here."

"What?" Matt said sounding confused. "What happened?"

"You don't remember," Daphne said. She then looked at Astoria.

The youngest Greengrass seemed to not want to do it but she nodded and left the room. Matt and Ann watched her leave before they looked at Daphne. They knew she had something important to tell them...or ask and they were worried that it was probably the latter.

"You two had been missing for over twenty-four hours," Daphne said. "Polly called me when you didn't check in with her. Remus and Sirius brought you back after we found you in an abandoned muggle home, unconscious. That is what has been going on." She then paused, waiting for her parents' response. However, Matt and Ann still looked confused and didn't seem to give much attention to what Daphne had just said. This made her angry and the next set of words came out of her mouth on their own. "I know you are not my real parents."

This had their attention immediately. Daphne's eyes were wet as she held back her tears.

"Daphne, that..."

"No kind of excuse will make me not want to believe it," she said, interrupting her mother. "Do you want to know how I found? I went to Gringotts to get the locator so we could find you. But when I tried to open our family vault, the blood seal didn't work. I tried a few times until it set off an alarm and Sirius and I were apprehended by the guards. If it wasn't for Ragnok I don't know what the goblins would have done to us."

"What...did he tell you?" Matt asked.

"Nothing other than the fact that I didn't have the Greengrass blood in me," Daphne said. "He told me that he couldn't tell me anything more and that I should ask you two about it. But I realised what he meant to say."

"Daphne..."

"Is it true?" she said. "Is it true that I am not your daughter?" Daphne couldn't hold back her tears anymore. Her voice quivered as she tried her best to not cry.

The couple exchanged glances before Matt spoke. "Not through blood, no. But in every other way, yes, you are."

Daphne sniffled before wiping her tears and looking at them with a serious look. "I want you to tell me everything," she said in a low calm tone which Matt and Ann knew they would have to listen to and respond if they didn't want to make things worse.
