A Couple of Days have passed, Nadia and the Formerly Wounded Ant were seen walking together as they make their way to the latter's colony.

Along the way, They've encountered and fought several wild monsters lurking about and took occasional breaks to gather their energy.

Although, This wasn't necessary for Nadia as she was the one who handled most of the creatures. The true reason regarding their breaks is her enduring the sight of the Formerly Wound Ant devouring the corpses they come across.

Despite Nadia's distaste for it, she understood the reason behind this behavior. The Formerly Wound Ant, as well as the Enemy Ants, have a skill known as [Adaptation].

The Insectoid Ants gained this skill by nature and it allows them to gain greater strength by consuming organic substances. But they gain even more so if they consume corpses of wild monsters or deceased ants.

Cannibalism was not a problem for them since they were similar to that of ants. When it comes to the dead, they are merely another means to provide for the colony.

Right now, The Formerly Wound Ant had gained so much that he considered himself as a stronger ant than he once was. There were a few instances that he would join in on the fight when the duo encountered a monster.

After their long walk, The two soon saw something tall from the distance and Nadia was somewhat in awe by the sight ahead.

"We're here..." The Formerly Wounded Ant stated,

What was up ahead was a tall building with several smaller buildings and a wall with wooden spike fences. There were also guards stationed on the walls and by the gates with their spears at the ready and their patrols tightened.

The Formerly Wounded Ant momentarily glanced at Nadia with concern. But soon stopped as the two walked their way to the gate.

But when they were halfway there, The Formerly Wounded Ant stops and Nadia took a few more steps before noticing him stop.

"What's wrong?" Nadia questioned,

The Formerly Wounded Ant stayed silent and was about to ask again. But her alter ego answered her question for her.

[Nadia. I'm detecting multiple people coming from all sides. You're being surrounded]

Nadia was alarmed by this, but she forced herself to remain calm as to avoid anything rash for the time being.

A moment later, Several Soldier Ants from the colony appeared with their spears and pointed their spears towards Nadia alone.

Meanwhile, one of the Soldier Ants went to the Formerly Wounded Ant and started conversing with each other.

Strangely though, Nadia couldn't understand a word from them as they used another form of communication to converse with one another.

'What are they talking about?' Nadia wondered,

[I'm afraid I can't help you with that one, Nadia]

'I didn't ask for your help yet. I'm just wondering,' Nadia said,

After a while, The Formerly Wounded Ant finished conversing with his own kind, and the Soldier Ant that talked to him soon approached Nadia.

"Foreigner. Why have you come to our lands?" The Soldier Ant questioned,

'Huh, Now I can understand him,' Nadia noted, before clearing her throat to speak with the Soldier Ants, "Not much. I just stumbled upon one of your own and decided to help him from one of your rivals since I've got nothing else to do. In exchange, he would take me here to your colony,"

The Other Soldier Ants murmured to one another in their own way while taking several glances at the Former Wounded Ant. To which, the latter simply nodded in confirmation.

After a while, They turn their eyes back to her.

"Who are you, Foreigner," The Soldier Ant questioned,

"My name is Nadia, pleased to make your acquaintance," Nadia greeted herself followed by a curtsy,

This confuses the Soldier Ants while the Formerly Wounded Ant simply sighed at their reaction since he had already assumed what would their reaction be.

But not a moment later, The Soldier Ants shook off from their confusion and remained wary to her.

"Though we appreciate you saving one of our own. But regardless of the circumstances, you are still a foreigner and we ask that you leave this instance," The Soldier Ant stated, "If you resist, then we will use force against you,"

'I knew he'd say that,' Nadia presumed, while she cast a few glances at the other Soldier Ants

[Are you going to fight them?]

'Of course not. If I do that, then I'd only be making a bad impression on myself,' Nadia stated, 'After all, I came here to see their colony. Not fight it,'

Before Nadia could say her piece with them. The Formerly Wounded Ant beats her to it, "Wait,"

Everyone soon turned their attention to the Formerly Wounded Ant as he continued, "I'm aware that she is a foreigner to our colony. But I'm afraid that I can't turn back on the one who saved me,"

"That's odd, a few days ago you were against the idea of me following you here," Nadia reminded, "Now you want to vouch for me?"

"Indeed. At first, I was concerned when you followed me to my colony," The Formely Wounded Ant stated, "But after we've been together for the past couple of days. I've finally recognized your power. And if it weren't for you, I would have never returned to my colony alive,"

"Aw... That's so nice of you to say such things," Nadia cooed,

"Therefore, I will take responsibility should anything happen while you're here," The Formerly Wounded Ant declared, which surprised the other Soldier Ants,

Eventually, They began to conserve with the Formerly Wounded Ant while Nadia calmly waits for them to finish. Even though she couldn't understand them, she had already assumed that it's their doubts regarding the Formerly Wounded Ant's declaration.

After a while, the Soldier Ants finished and turned towards Nadia.

"The Queen will be the one to decide. But for now, you will be under watch as you enter the colony," The Soldier Ant stated,

"Alright," Nadia agreed, and The Formerly Wounded Ant followed suit,

Afterward, At least four Soldier Ants will escort the two to the queen's palace while the rest returned to their duties. Then they make their way to the queen's palace.

Along the way, Nadia took it upon herself to glance around as they passed through several buildings, establishments, and the citizens of the colony.

Their civilization was somewhat similar to that of humans in the middle ages. But what makes them different than humans is that every ant in a colony is literally related to each other since Ant Queens can generate up to thousands of eggs, and work is merely a part of their natural instinct.

But as the group passes through, the civilian ants noticed Nadia being the only odd one and cast some glances at her while also maintaining their distance from her.

Nadia paid no mind to this as she pressed on despite the obvious looks on their faces. But she soon trails off from her mind when she notices a building not too far from them.

Apparently, there was a building where young ants played and fought with one another and a few adults were assigned to them as proper caretakers to the young children of the ant queen.

As Nadia just stood and watched the children, she couldn't help but reminiscence her past life despite being a High Ranking Magus of her world. The sound of young laughter and cheery smiles brought memories of a building similar to its function.

A memory of which she has never forgotten.

"Hey," The Formerly Ant called out, and Nadia immediately snaps out of her thoughts as she turns to him, "Is there something wrong?"

"O-Oh. It's nothing," Nadia said, before rejoining the group as they went on their merry way to the queen's palace.

Queen's Palace

The group arrives in front of the palace doors. Two royal ant guards were present and Nadia took a brief moment to analyze the equipment.

Their equipment was much better, their expressions were more disciplined than normal, and their stature was firm. Hence, Nadia had concluded.

These were elite defenders, and their purpose was to defend their homes.

As the group was nearing the doors, two of the royal ant guards approached them and immediately pointed their spears at them.

"State your business," The First Royal Ant Guard demanded,

"We've come here to seek for the queen's judgment to this outsider," An Ant Soldier stated,

The two Royal Ant Guards glanced at Nadia, and she merely greeted them with a simple wave of her hand.

Not a moment too soon, the two Royal Ant Guards return to their post as the group went further into the palace.

Nadia wandered her eyes around as to examine the interior of the palace. It wasn't special or anything, but it does fit with the profile of a royal palace.

But at the very end, lies a throne with its queen and she was taller and larger than the average ant. After all, Queen Ants are the largest amongst the colony. (For those who want the scale of the Ants. Children Ants are about 3 to 4 feet tall, Regular Ants are 4 to 5 feet tall, Royal Ant Guards are 5 feet tall, and Queen Ants are about 7 to 8 feet tall)

Once the group stops near the queen, the Formerly Wound Ant and Four Soldier Ants gave a bow while Nadia simply stared at her appearance.

With just one wave of her hand, The Formerly Wounded Ant and his comrades stopped bowing then she turns her attention to Nadia.

"Who is this, child?" The Queen Ant questioned,

"Your Majesty, The girl is an outsider brought by this ant," The First Soldier Ant stated while narrowing his head on the Formerly Wound Ant and Nadia,

"I see..." The Queen Ant said, then she gestures the pair, "Step forward,"

Nadia and The Formerly Wounded Ant glanced at each other, before doing what the Queen Ant said and step forth to her presence.

"May I know your name, Little One?" The Queen Ant questioned directly Nadia,

"My name is Nadia, Your grace," Nadia formally introduced herself while doing a curtsy to her,

This earned her curiosity, as well as everyone else.

"Nadia? Alright, What brings you to my colony?" The Queen Ant questioned,

"Not much, your grace. I merely came here with him," Nadia answered, as she nudged her head towards the Formerly Wounded Ant, "Not only that, he also has a report he wishes to share with you,"

The Queen Ant then diverts her attention to the Formerly Wounded Ant, "Is this true?"

"Yes, Your Majesty," The Formerly Wounded Ant responded, "My Comrades and I have scouted the designated location, and we discovered that an army of Elite Soldiers is marching here as we speak,"

Excluding Nadia and the Queen Ant, everyone in the throne room started murmuring in concern over the report. But the Queen Ant simply raised her hand to them and all went silent.

"When will their army arrive?" The Queen Ant questioned,

"In less than a few days, your majesty," The Formerly Wounded Ant answered,

"I see... With such little time left, We won't be able to mount a proper defense line and we don't have the manpower to train any more soldiers," The Queen Ant presumed, much to the concern of everyone in the room, "Even if I commanded my people to take up arms and fight, it wouldn't matter as a more formidable army will come and destroy this colony,"

Nadia took notice, and decided to speak her own piece to the queen, "So, you're just going to give up?"

The Queen Ant turns to her, and despite her ant-like face. Nadia could already feel her acceptance over the matter.

"It's not like that, Little One," The Queen Ant said, "I'm merely stating the inevitable. For you see, A few of my people and I are already aware that we are losing this war. Most of my formidable guard have already perished in the onslaught, the resources of my colony are diminishing in each passing season, and it's only a matter of time when a rivaling army will march their way here and do what must be done to my people,"

"If you know you're already losing. Then why did you send him and his friends to scout outside your colony?" Nadia questioned,

"It wasn't because I wished to find the rivaling army. I did so just to find anything we could gather what little I could to provide for my people," The Queen Ant said, "But sadly, It wasn't enough as some of my people resorted to cannibalism to ensure they wouldn't go hungry or they wander outside and search for their own food. Only to never return,"

Nadia felt pity for this colony as she scanned the room and saw the bitter expressions of the Royal Ants despite their efforts to not show it at all.

"So what happens if the army arrives?" Nadia questioned,

"First, they will kill me and all of my guards as proof of their dominance. Second, the rest of the ants would either submit or perish by the rivaling colony, and lastly, this territory will soon become theirs," The Queen Ant answered,

"And... what about the children?" Nadia questioned,

"Them?" The Queen Ant noted, "They will perish as means to prevent another Queen from reemerging. But I always make a few in secret and assign my most trusted bodyguards to ensure their survival for my colony,"

Nadia felt somewhat suspicious at this response, and decided to press in another question to confirm her suspicions, "But why? Why would you make one and assign your guards to protect that one, not yourself?"

"I am a queen... Not a soldier," The Queen Ant responded, "My purpose is here, and no place else. The rest, you can figure it all out yourself,"

Nadia then pondered to herself, and the part where the one-child is mentioned was already obvious enough. But being a more perceptive individual in her previous life, she had to think deeper before making a clear assumption to Queen Ant's motive.

First off, Nadia had already concluded that the one-child act is similar to an insurance policy should a kingdom fall by its rival. But that merely occurs to highly influential people and the current state of this colony wasn't one of them.

Second, she recollects their previous conversation and mentioned that Queen Ant and her soldiers will only be the ones to perish while those who aren't soldiers will submit to the rivaling colony or perish should they ever resist.

And the last one was to figure out an assumption on why should the children of the ant queen be killed after taking over the rivaling army takes over the colony.

These conversations and actions were like pieces for an unfinished puzzle. But when Nadia recalls the nature of kingdoms, predatory animals like lions, and anything revolving around those two cycles. This led to one possibility and gazes directly into the queen's eyes.

"You're planning on preserving the existence of your colony, Aren't you?" Nadia stated,

She waited for the queen's answer, but a simple nod is what she needed from her.

"You are correct... Little one," The Queen Ant said,

"Can you tell me how long has this been happening?" Nadia questioned,

The Queen Ant gazed around the room to see the stoic looks on her soldiers. After a while, she nods and gives her answer, "I do not recall the times... But what I do know is that I'm 56th Queen of this Colony,"

"56 times? You mean that this colony had suffered defeat 56 times?" Nadia questioned,

"Regrettably, Yes," The Queen Ant said, "This colony has been conquered several times by other rivaling colonies in the past few decades. The only queen to have survived for as long as two decades was the 13th Queen. As for the rest, they had only lasted for up to four to eight years due to the economical crisis caused by the war,"

"If so, Then why not just establish trade relations with the foreign nations like the other colonies?" Nadia questioned,

"This land has little to offer to them. Humans and Dwarves Nations have established trade with the northern colonies for they control the mountains with the richest minerals. The eastern colonies are located near the shores of a foreign land. As for the Western and Southern Colonies, the major colonies managed to preserve themselves due to the majority of the land they claimed," The Queen Ant stated,

"But what about this colony? Where is it located?" Nadia questioned,

The Queen Ant trails off, while the Royal Ant Guards were eyeing Nadia as a few were getting more and more irritated whenever she has a question for the Queen. But they tolerate it as they wished not to disgrace their queen.

"It's located..." Nadia waited for the queen's answer as if she was recalling the location of the colony,

It took a few minutes, but eventually, the Queen Ant recalls and turns towards her.

"Well... It's not too far from where the Prime Colony once existed..." The Queen Ant answered, and it surprised Nadia a little, "Basically, we're nearing the center..."

'Near the Prime Colony? If so, then that means it's almost near the middle of the battlefield...' Nadia concluded,

[To be honest with you, Nadia. I'm surprised that this colony even survived the onslaughts that lasted for three centuries]

Nadia thought to herself on how to help them, but only this time. The Queen Ant notices the looks in her eyes and decided to lean forward from her throne.

"Tell me, Little One. Are you only here to question the history of this war, or..." Nadia turns to the Queen Ant, and she somehow caught on to what the latter was going to say next, "Do you wish to aid us in this battle?"

The Royal Guards immediately snapped their heads towards her and shot a look of disbelief. Even the Formerly Wound Ant was surprised as she Nadia was surprised by this question, but she soon scoff as she smile towards the Queen Ant.

"How perceptive of you..." Nadia commented, glancing around the throne room, then shrugged her shoulders before facing the Queen Ant, "But it looks like I can't ask anymore since you've asked this time. The answer to your question is a bit of both,"

This earned the Queen's interest as she listened to Nadia's motives.

"You see, I'm not actually from this world. I don't even know how or why I ended up here. But due to my sudden arrival, I had nothing else to do but ponder to myself what I was going to do next," Nadia admitted which made the Guards suspicious towards her, "But that's when I ran into this guy, and pretty much saved him from certain death against a group of your rivaling ants,"

The Royal Ant Guards immediately tensed up from this while the Queen Ant still listened to her tale.

"After that, I asked him about everything regarding this war of yours, then I thought 'I think I should help them with their situation'. So we traveled together, fought a lot of monsters that appeared out of nowhere, and the rest just leads up to this moment," Nadia finished, "Now for my next question, How can I help you with this problem?"

Before the Queen Ant could say a word to her, The Royal Ant Guards immediately acted with a moment's hesitation, surrounding the pair before pointing their spears at her, and at least four Royal Ant Guards positioned just in front of the Queen Ant.

The Formerly Wounded Ant showed concern to this while Nadia simply remained calm. Instead, she just closed her eyes and donned a smile at their immediate action.

"Well, If I didn't know any better. Your guards have some degree of tolerance before pointing their spears at me," Nadia commented,

"Silence, Outsider!" A Royal Guard yelled, "You have no right to make such a demand to the Queen!"

"I'm not making a demand you know. I'm just asking a question," Nadia said, but the Royal Ant Guards refused to listen,

"Nadia, I think you should stop asking..." The Formerly Wounded Ant advised,

Nadia raised an eyebrow at him, before turning back the Royal Ant Guards.

[Are you going to fight them?]

'No, I'm just want to scare them,' Nadia said,

[Then I recommend you use [Intimidation] for that.]

'Alright, but not too much. I don't want them passing out or something,' Nadia said,

Without another word between them, Nadia soon activates one of her skills [Intimidation] on the Royal Ant Guards. Not a moment later, Nadia generates a killer aura that causes not only the Royal Ant Guards to shudder before her very presence. everyone else felt this feeling.

One by one, the Royal Ant Guards were shaking their hands and feet as they gazed towards her, some even dropped their spears and fell to their knees as they stare at her in utter disbelief.

The Formerly Wounded Ant could only glance at her in fear, and thought of himself on how could she be this powerful.

As Nadia's aura dies down, The Queen Ant then spoke once more, "Stand down, everyone,"

"B-But, your majesty," A Royal Ant Guard protested, only to be given the hand or rather claw in response,

After that, The Queen Ant turns her attention back to Nadia, "My apologies for my guards' demeanor, Little One,"

"It's alright, Your majesty. They were just doing their job," Nadia assured, "As for what I did earlier, I just wanted to test them. That's all,"

[Liar...]

'Shut it you' Nadia told, before continuing her conversation with the queen,

"Of course you would, but despite this. I'm afraid I cannot accept your help with this problem," The Queen Ant declined,

"Really? Can you provide a reason why I shouldn't help?" Nadia questioned,

The Queen Ant sighs once, while the Royal Guards collect themselves and returned to their post while still fidgeting from experiencing Nadia's intimidation aura.

After a moment of silence, The Queen Ant made his answer to her.

"You're an outsider..." The Queen Ant said, "And that is why I can't accept your help?"

Nadia was completely caught off guard by this reason, she initially assumed that the Queen Ant was going to give some petty excuse to dodge her question. But being told bluntly is what surprised her the most.

"That's it?" Nadia said, and the Queen Ant gave a single nod in response,

"Despite the brutality of this war, It still retains some of its rules we follow from generations of battle. But the rules are merely a part of our nature and it must not be disrupted whatsoever," The Queen Ant said, "Outsiders like yourself must not interfere. Regardless of your intentions to aid us in this war, I will still refuse your request to help us even if you threaten me to do so,"

"Oh, So it's that kind of rule..." Nadia concluded, 'I once read from a book that different ants would fight should they encounter one another. But if a threat is something bigger than the average ant, both sides would provoke a cease-fire and work together to take down the threat.'

[Guess helping this colony is now out the window. Huh, Nadia?]

'Indeed,' Nadia said, "But if that were the case, then why would the other colonies trade with foreign nations? Aren't they outsiders as well?"

"No... We can establish trade with any foreign species for as much as we want. But as long as they don't send an army or set up a fortress that obstructs the war. We will not act against them," The Queen Ant said,

'So it's kind of like the rule's loophole' Nadia noted, and wondered on how is she going to use this loophole to her advantage. However, that opportunity had revealed itself when the Queen Ant spoke to her, "However... There is something you can do..."

This not only earn Nadia's interest but also everyone else as they stared towards their queen with wide eyes as she continued.

"Since you can't help my colony to fight against the army. You can help by taking the last batch of my offsprings and start anew somewhere else..."

"That's allowed?" Nadia questioned,

"Indeed. For some of the royal guards here used to be my predecessor's guard when her rule had ended not long ago. They've not only performed their duty to serve under my rule, but they also provided the proper education and training to my offspring after they are born in this world," The Queen Ant explained, "But as long as you avoid any direct confrontation towards the other Colonies. You may act within this new colony to your discretion,"

"So basically, I'll be the one raising the newest queen of the Colony?" Nadia summarized,

"Precisely," The Queen Ant answered, "But if you wish not to take such a responsibility, then that decision is up to you. For I merely recommended this idea to you,"

While Nadia thinks about this, her Alter Ego speaks as she thinks.

[I think it's worth a shot]

'What's make you say that?' Nadia questioned,

[You were the leader of the Circle's Elite Executioners. Just imagine the potential of this opportunity]

'You do realize that we're in a different world. Also, I doubt I could train them to be at the same caliber as the Executioners,' Nadia doubted,

[Regardless of whether you can do it or not. It's worth a try, after all. This world is full to the brim of magic power. With that, combined with your newly obtained skills, Anything is possible]

'... Heh... You're still the same even after our death from our first life,' Nadia commented,

[We never change... A Fact that we both accepted in Life]

'And in Death...' Nadia finished,

With their mind in set, Nadia finally makes her decision and gave a sincere smile to the Queen Ant.

"If all I have to do is stay out of this war as I take care of your next generation. Then I will do what I can," Nadia answered,

The Queen Ant simply nodded at that, and slowly stood up from her throne.

"Follow me, it's time I show you the last batch," The Queen Ant said,

"You coming?" Nadia questioned directly to the Formerly Wounded Ant,

"No... This is between you and my queen. I wouldn't dare come unless my queen told me so," The Formerly Wounded Ant said,

Nadia just giggled and instantly requested to have him tag along as well. The Queen Ant simply agreed to her request and Nadia started pulling the Formerly Wounded Ant along the way.

With just a few days before the army arrives, Nadia simply makes her preparations within her mind along with a few lessons she can provide to the new generation of this colony.

One thing's certain, it was going to be big for her and the future of this colony.

That's it for this Chapter! But before you go, I should tell you a few things.

First off, I made this fan-made encyclopedia called 'League of Fate'. It only contains Notable Runeterra Characters with Servant Stats written by yours truly. But before you all question it, The Reason I made this is not only for fun. But it can also be a potential story to which Runeterra Characters interact with Heroic Spirits. (P.S.: I'm still deciding on whether Gudao, Gudako, or Both are the main protagonist of this story. Nadia is NOT an option though)

Second, I did some research about real-life ants and I discovered that two opposing colonies will stop fighting only to fight off bigger and invasive threats of their colonies. That's where the concept of 'No Outsider must interfere with the War' is from. If you have questions, let me know and I will answer.

And finally, When will the Servants appear in the new world? You'll get to that one very soon.

Until then, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, don't forget to pick which story should I work on after this (the Poll is located in my profile page), stay safe from the virus, and I will see you very soon!
