*CLANG*
The battle lasted for 8 days.
The Leviathan is no more.
It's body cut, burnt and twisted in unnatural angle.
It's eye sockets empty, both eyes were floating in the water tainted red, both eye having a single hole in them, as if they were pierced and forced out of their sockets.
The man, him, was still alive.
Well, as alive as one can be in the face of certain death.
He lost his right arm and both legs.
He used crude replacement that he moved with his arts.
They clearly were made on the spot to fill a gap.
His face was disfigured, a chunk of his chest was missing.
Having completly destroyed the corrupting heart, he knew what must be done next.
The sea monsters don't need the corrupting heart to survive, they just need it to lead them so it'll take less time to take over the world.
The thing that they truly need to continue existing is another leviathan.
Or rather, it's rotting corpse.
"Time to up lift a giant tree."
Dipping in the water, and using the remain of the leviathan as a surfing bord, he advance towards the place he knows hides that 'thing'.
Caerula Arbor.
If the sea born loses their ability to feed the new born, they will slowly dwindle out from their fighting. Their number unable to ammount to the same as before.
That is why he must destroy it, no matter the cost.
Arriving close to the tree, he has to dip down under.
Using the corpse of the Leviathan as a giant air duct, he dives down.
Getting close to the tree, sea born arrives close.
But their primitive mind sense him as an 'ally'.
So they do not react fast enough.
Uprooting the corpse, he takes the most care to take it all out.
As if seperating a cancer from the earth itself, the tree was slowly but surely taked out.
The sea born, now considering him as an enemy attempt to devour him.
...
Well, they tried.
The halo on his back burn brighter, winds that have no reason being in the depth of the ocean starts to rage.
The solar winds that rages cuts the sea born one by one, the ones that doesn't get cut start to burn, being boiled alive by the intense heat.
Thousands upon thousands of sea born slowly attempt to eat him, yet none even come close to him, never reaching even close to him.
The tree, ever so slowly starts to rise.
On the surface, the corpse of two leviathan are lifted up in the sky.
Then, as if to mock their near divine status, are thrown like garbage as high as they can be.
And finnaly, just like the garbage they are, burn ever brightly.
The man, simply wanting to die, to end it just as it began.
Utilising every single ounce of strengh in his body, even using the lasting ember of both corpses, use his ability one last time, at it's Zenith.
The halo starts to create a bright white light, and expands uncontrollably.
It expands exponatially, reaching a size so ennourmous that a part of the sky is envelloped by a band of light.
The man, the two corpse and the sea below melts.
In his final moments, he hugs two objects.
A broken staff and a red feather.
Smilling in acceptance, he lets himself go, thinking that, it should be enough.
The light engulfing the continent, finnaly reaching its limit starts to collapse.
Until finnaly...
There is rain.
A rain of rainbow.
Like a machine gun, arrows of light rain down on the ground, exterminating every single sea born on land.
And, as if guided by providence, not a single arrow hit a place other than the sea born.
After the firework, the world wakes up.
Everyone open their eyes towards the sky, and after the eight day of terrors and an hour of pure brightness, the sun rises.
One by one, people steps into the light.
The sea is silent.
After a long battle, the world takes a new breath.
The people who could only bear witness in horror as their world was slowly being devoured, a man leading the charge.
Some people knew him as a friend- not understanding the situation.
Strand of blue hair and red feather littered that battlefied.
The rest ? Burnt to a crisp.
One of the staff used as a makeshift explosive in a last ditch effort to at least try to wound the man.
The other, snaped like a twig.
The other person had both of her arms craked like an egg, and her head smashed into the ground.
Her weapon allowed her only to slightly singe a small part of exposed skin.
As for a certain orca, her body was used as an offering for the Leviathan complete revival.
Becoming a heart for the corrupting heart.
...
He who wanted to live in peace, got what he wanted.
In an extreme way.
To silence everything in the world, is to be in peace, that was what he got.
As for everyone else, why care for those who whouldn't understand his reasoning ?
Who wouldn't understand his plea, when he made it clear to everyone around him and got ignored ?
His fate, to struggle, twist and turn in every possible way so as to at least make a impact in this world, to at least fill the empty void he felt as an outsider, used againts him so as to utilise his outstanding strengh.
...
Of course, this was useless in the end.
To live, kill and finnaly, die.
That was the only thing anyone in this world does.
It's as if everyone has ten lives and can't go on without sacrificing a few.
All for nothing...
Crack of Dawn, In the Capital of Yen.
A white haired girl with red horns and arms look towards the direction where the monster who plunged this world into chaos went.
She always knew that meeting him would signify either the end of Yen or him.
She'd wager it was much more likely that Yen would end right there than him losing.
... She was right. If he wanted to destroy Yen, he would have succeded, even if the incomplete Sui would've been revived.
Not because Sui is weak, but because the people of the sea wouldve overwhelmed it at some point.
It was only a single entity after all.
How many ants does it take to kill a elephant.
100 000 ?
100 000 000 ?
Something in between ?
But it doesn't matter.
She wondered.
Why was the monster that terrorized the world looks so... Lost ?
Empty ?
As if he just found out people thought of him as a monster ?
More like, he just woke up and found himself the target of contempt, of something people think he did but didn't.
This confused her.
The emotion she saw on him were genuine, which is the weirdest part.
Everyone saw his bloodthirst on the battlefield, when he slaughtered every people he came across.
Ironicly, this was the first time in history were everyone were in accordance.
To simply kill this man.
...
She'll tell this to her oldest sister.
She'll probably be able to make at least a little bit of sense of this.
Hopefully she'll be too drunk to understand the implication...
...
Welp, Here is part 2.
You guys might've wondered where I was ?
Finnishing my exams.
And other stuff.
I'm ending tomorow (technically).
As for what happened, essentially he got corrupted and turned into a sea born.
With the near endless energy of the corrupting heart and his overpowered art he bacame capable of creating what is essentially solar winds through his halo, which tilted verticaly on his back.
Well, I'll start writting more stuff.
As for the translation, I'll post them all in one go.
Eventually.
...
I may or may not have already translated like 20 chapters and not posted them.
Oops.
I'll get to it one day...
T'ill then.
