Ruby's POV, City of Vale, dust shop

'This is interesting' I thought to myself. I was in the back of the little dust shop at the current moment, looking over some weapon magazines that the kind old man pointed out to me. It talked about some of the recent weapons used by Huntsmen that have been spotted around the kingdom. Nunchucks that turn into pistols, a sword that turns into a sawed-off shotgun, and so much more!

Along with my earphones blaring music and this magazine, it was a nice cooldown from the day that I've had so far. Nothing bad actually happened, it's just that Yang, Blake and Weiss had to get school supplies for Beacon, and doing school shopping was just plain boring... I also came here to get my mind off the fact that they are going to Beacon. I am immensely happy and proud that they got into Beacon, I really am. It's just that they are the only friends I got, sad, I know, but everyone else at Signal just wasn't... them. There is no other way for me to explain it, all three of them check everything I'm looking for in friends.

Oh well, I needed to spread my wings anyway and make some more friends, so it isn't all bad I guess. Two years isn't so long, after all, I can still see them when I come to Vale or when they visit Patch, I just won't be able to see them as much.

That last thought brung down the smile I had on my face, I've been with them for as long as I can remember, the thought of them not being near me anymore brings a lump to my throat.

I swallow the lump and focus back of my magazine, it's only two years, I can make it that far.

I continued reading for about five more minutes before I felt someone tap my shoulder. Thinking it might be the old man, I take my earphones out and turn around. The first thing I notice is that it isn't the old man, it's someone comparatively younger and much more threatening looking. The second thing I notice is that he has his right hand extended out and open, almost like he is asking for something.

I didn't get to ponder my thoughts any further as the man spoke "Hey, kid! I said give me whatever you have on you now!" The only thing I can do is stare at the outstretched arm in slight disbelief, is this really happening?

To make sure it's not just someone trying to pull a subpar prank, I ask him a question "Are you... robbing me?" I couldn't keep the confusion out of my voice, I'm just that bewildered at the situation.

"Yes I am! Now hand what you have over now!" He confirms my suspicions.

I let a slight smile appear on my lips, it seems that I will get to blow off some steam in a more fun way! My smile must of been unnerving for the man, because he slightly flinches backwards, but he quickly recovers his nerves. The sneer on his face tells me all I need to know, and what he does next doesn't surprise me at all.

He lunges forward with his arm outstretched, trying to grab me. That's all the invitation I need to retaliate.

I drop the magazine I was holding and swipe the arm that was going for me to the side. Striking lightning fast, I jab him in the face. His aura takes the blow, but he is clearly stunned. Not one to let these kind of advantages go to waste, years worth of bruises from sparring being my teacher, so I strike again.

I jump and knee him right in the face, knocking the mask he was wearing to the side a bit. While he stumbled back a few more paces, I pulled out my weapon and fire a fire dust infused shot center mass into the man. He goes flying and smashes through the glass window of the shop. I do feel kinda bad now, not for the would be robber, but for the damage I caused to the kind old man's shop.

Putting the thought to the side, I activate my semblance and within a second I'm outside the shop were the robber is laid flat on his back, taking a involuntary star gaze. That thought brung a small smile to my face, Yang would of probably loved that joke.

I glance at the scythe in my hand. Just a moment ago, it was a sniper rifle, but now it's a large scythe, scaling above me in height. I smile at it, my pride and joy, my precious baby, Crescent Roes. It is truly an amazing weapon. It took me a long time to design and forge, but the results speak for themselves.

I hear the pitter-patter of feet from inside the shop and I turn around. There, three men with similar looks as the one lying on the ground appear in the now broken window. Behind them stood a peculiar looking man, and if I had to guess, the leader of them.

He wore a nice tailored white jacket, with red lining the inside. He wore a bowler hat and had on both a black shirt and pants. In his hand he carried a cane, a combination weapon I could tell, and stood proper looking. He radiated a aura of 'I'm better than you' and wore a smirk that for some reason irritated me.

Before I could make any other observations about him, he spoke "Well, now that wasn't nice at all Red. Don't you know it's considered rude to blast people through a window? Or were you not taught proper manners?" The tone of his voice made me even more irked, and I responded in a irked tone "Well, maybe he wouldn't be involuntary stargazing if he didn't try to rob me. I would consider that being pretty rude as well, wouldn't you?" I reply.

His smirk widens a bit and responds "Yes, that was quite rude of him, wasn't it." He said, taking a quick glance at the man. "However, we are still going to need you to hand over your valuables. Oh, and if you would be so kind, please do not resist, it makes things so much easier." He finishes with a mocking tone.

I roll my eyes at what he says, and twirl CrescentRose in my hands, ready to do battle. The man too rolls his eyes and looks to his goons and speaks, "Well, go get her." With that, the three goons charge directly at me.

Deciding to punish their bad tactics, I fire off a quick shot with Crescent Rose at the person in the center of the formation. He gets hit with a fire dust round at high speeds, knocking him off his feet and sending him flat on his back.

While the one in the center went flying, the ones on the flanks arrive at the same time and strike at me with downward slashes. I tilt my weapon at the right angle, blocking both attacks. Their surprise couldn't be hidden, even behind their masks. I take their lack of awareness and use it to my advantage.

I quickly jump back a pace, them falling forward a bit due to pour posture. I take a wide swing with Crescent Rose and hit both of them, sending them flying back.

They land with a thud, but the one on the left groggily starts to get up. I don't let him though. I take a quick shot at him and it impacts, shattering his aura and sending him back at the feet of the strangely dressed man.

The man looks down at them all with a deadpan look and speaks "You all were worth every cent, truly, you were." Though his comment had hilarity in it, his tone said quite the opposite. He was pretty aggravated that they all lost so fast, can't say I blame him either, they were quiet bad. I had harder fights against people from Signal than those four.

He then takes his eyes off his henchmen and turns them towards me and speaks again "Well, Red, you are quiet good, but I must bid you farewell, that little skirmish was sure to attract unwanted attention." He finished, and with a tilt of his hat, he took off.

Not wanting to let a criminal escape, I quickly use my semblance to move in front of him. Like the red blur that I was, I quickly appeared in front of him, Crescent Rose slung across my shoulders.

The irritated look in his eyes and sigh of resignation told me all I needed to know, but he spoke again "Not going to let me go easily, are we." He tried to add some comedic undertones, but it was clear he was anything but amused. I just smile at him and bear my weapon towards him.

"Fine, have it your way." With that, he quickly pointed his cane at me and fired a round from the bottom of it, confirming that it was, indeed, a combination weapon.

I quickly jump to the left and take my own pot shot. It seems that he has more sense than his goons, as he dodges to the right. Not letting him rest, I fire another shot and this time he jumps back.

While he was in the motion, I sped blitzed him with my semblance, closing the distance in less than a second. It seems he also has better instincts than the others, as he swings his cane, catching my own weapon at were the blade and staff met.

This probably would of stopped anyone else, but having Yang as a sparing partner forces you to gain some sort of muscle. So while it slows my swing a little bit, it wasn't enough. With great force, I send his cane flying, disarming him and leaving him weaponless.

He clearly wasn't expecting that, his surprised face giving that away. Bringing my weapon back around, I fire a shot directly at his face. He was apparently still to surprised at my strength, as he didn't even make an attempt to dodge my shot. It impacts and he is sent soaring back. It also seems that he has great reflexes, as he rolls when he hits the ground and springs back up onto his feet. The shocked look he had was replaced with irritation, and he speaks again "I must say, I wasn't expecting that." He says as he bends down and picks up his hat that he lost in flight, his eyes never leaving me. It seems he has stopped underestimating me, unfortunate as he will probably be more cautious now, but I can still work with this.

He dusts his hat off and mutters something under his breath before turning towards me "Well Red, as much fun as this was, I must bid you farewell, I've still got a lot of work to do."

I was getting ready to blitz him, but he throws something at me before I could. I instinctively jump back, but it was too late, a loud explosion and bright light appear from the object he threw. If I had to guess, he threw a flash bang.

I keep jumping back, gaining distance in case he decides to rush me. It wasn't much longer until my eyesight returned and the ringing in my ears stopped. Thank the gods for the regenerative abilities of aura, as I probably would still be blind and deaf without it.

I looked around and I didn't immediately see the man. I looked to were his cane was and saw that it was gone just like him. At that point I heard the sound of someone climbing a ladder and I turned towards it. There, climbing up onto the roof of a building, was him.

I took off with my semblance, arriving at the ladder within a second, and start ascending it. It took me a few seconds, but I was able to make it to the roof.

I didn't get much room for rest, because as soon as I got on to the roof itself, the man fired his cane at me. Years worth of surprise attacks and common sense saved me from being blasted off the roof. That would of been embarrassing. I rolled to the right and take out Crescent Rose again and take another pot shot.

He dodges the shot and takes another one at me. I side step to the left and fire another. Again, he dodges.

We didn't get to continue our little skirmish, as at that moment, a blast of fire careened towards me. I barely spotted it in time, mainly thanks to the sound of the Bullhead that just suddenly appeared.

The side of it opens up, I try to get a good look at who's inside it, but the interior was to dark for me to see properly.

The man looks up at the Bullhead, before turning back to me "Well Red, looks like this is the place where we part." He throws a two-fingered solute and jumps into the Bullhead.

Not wanting to see him and his new friends escape, I fire at them. But again, that fire appears from the interior and tanks the shot for them.

The Bullhead starts to fly off and as I was about to go off after them, a white bird impacts the side of it.

It clearly startles the occupants of the Bullhead, as that guy came back to see what is going on. The look of irritation and slight fear spoke volumes.

At that moment, more birds fly overhead and impact it, rattling its structure. More and more keep coming, dozens if I had to guess, and just as I was thinking that the thing might actually be grounded, fire again escapes from the Bullhead, impacting the last of the birds that were making their kamikaze runs.

Seeing an opportunity, I take a shot at the thing's engine while they were distracted. But it seems that my luck ran out, as again, fire sprouts from the interior and with it, any chance of taking it down.

The Bullhead quickly turns and speeds off like a bat out of Hell, growing smaller and smaller as it put distance between me and it.

I release a sigh of mild frustration, disappointed in my self for failing to take it down. But I quickly replace it with excitement, whoever's semblance that was super cool! The way those birds attacked and the way they looked! It had to of been a Huntsmen!

I quickly turn around to see if I can spot whoever helped me, and when I do I see... Weiss?

The woman in front of me looked a lot like my sister. She had the same snow white hair as Weiss, however, instead of a ponytail that Weiss wore, she had her hair tied up in a bun. She had on what appeared to be an Atlas military uniform, the colors white and blue. At her hips were two swords. The look on her face was the pinnacle of discipline, completely stoic, ready to take on anything thrown at her. She looked absolutely beautiful, her uniform doing her form justice. She looks like what I imagine Weiss would look like in a few years, and if she is anything to go by, then Weiss is going to look gorgeous.

I apparently stare for too long, as the woman clears her throat. That breaks me from my trance, a small blush dusting my cheeks at being caught staring. Shaking the last bit of fog from my mind, a big smile appears on my face and I start rambling "Oh, my goodness that was so cool! Was that you! Thewaythoesbirdsflewandattackedandallthatstuffwassupercool!" I finish, catching my breath, with another blush appearing on my face. It's a tick I've came to adopt, one that my sisters love to poke fun at. The amount of times I've been called 'cute' and 'adorable' while doing my ramblings could fill an entire novel.

The woman, a bit perplexed that anyone can talk that fast, I imagine, was going to respond, but before she could, another woman appeared on the roof.

"Winter! What the hell happened here! What was that commotion all about!" The newcomer said. She had platinum blond hair, that was a little braided, that fell down just below her shoulders. She wore a white and black corset and had glasses on. The riding crop on her hip didn't look to threatening, but appearances are deceiving, because in front of me stood Glynda Goodwitch! One of the best Huntresses in the kingdom! I was about to fangirl and most definitely embarrass myself, but the now named Winter spoke before I could.

"Professor Goodwitch, to start from the beginning, I was on patrol, looking for anything out of the ordinary. I was patrolling for about thirty minutes before I heard the sounds of gunfire. I immediately sprung into action and sprinted here at full speed. Upon arriving, I saw a shop with a broken window, signs of a fire fight, and four masked men sprawled on the street. The sounds of gunfire still came from the top of this roof, so I climbed up here as fast as I could. Upon reaching here, I saw the criminal Roman Torchwick board what appeared to be a commandeered Bullhead. Assuming he was the cause of this commotion and with him being a wanted criminal, I along with this girl, who was already here fighting Torchwick when I got here, attempted to ground the Bullhead but were unsuccessful. This lead to his unfortunate escape." Winter finished her report. It seems her Atlas uniform wasn't just for looks.

Professor Goodwitch just sighed and rubbed her eyes "I can tell this is going to be a headache, I just know it." She said, before turning towards me. I was about to ask her a million questions, but the look she sent my way killed the action before it could even begin. I shriveled up on myself a little. Why do I get the feeling this is going to be a long night?

Police station, thirty minutes later

It seems my thinking was correct, as at the moment I was being chewed out by Professor Goodwitch.

"You shouldn't of gone after Roman Tortchwick. Defending yourself against him was perfectly fine, expected even. However, you messed up when you decided to go after him, when he already retreated. You could of got seriously hurt, or worse, killed, by going after him." She finished, thoroughly chastising me, the look of slight annoyance on her face goes away though, replaced with a soft look of relief.

"Be glad that you are not hurt, and make sure to thank your dad for his training. Not many can say they have gone up against Roman and not leave without some sort of injury." She said with a soft voice, before speaking again "There is someone else who would like to speak to you." As soon as she said that, the door opened up and in came the headmaster of Beacon itself, Ozpin.

I couldn't keep the look of awe off my face, standing in front of me, is one of the greatest Huntsmen on Remnant. His feats are absolutely legendary, such as easily taking on hoards of Grimm by himself. Him also becoming the youngest Headmaster of a Huntsmen Academy in all of Remnants history just propelled his legend even further.

He had silver hair, with glasses framing his face. He wore a well tailored predominantly black suit with some dark green incorporated as well. His weapon, also a cane like Torchwick himself, was in his left hand. In his right hand he held my favorite food of all time, chocolate chip cookies! The aroma from them was absolutely amazing, almost making me salivate a bit.

He walked up to the table I was sitting and placed the cookies directly in front of me. I looked up to him, silently asking if I could have some. He just smiles and speaks "By all means, take a cookie if you wish, there is plenty after all." That was all I needed to know. I haven't ate in a long while anyway, so I am quiet hungry at the moment.

I tear into the delicious treat with reckless abandon, scarfing down cookie after cookie. Were before there was at least three dozen of them, within the span of thirty seconds there was none left.

Ever since our auras unlocked all those years ago, our appetites became a lot harder to satisfy. Yang, Blake, Weiss and I could clear a buffet if we wanted to, and we have. The amount of times we've been banned from buffets isn't even funny.

I look up from the now empty plate and observe the people in the room. They all have bewildered looks on their face, can't say I blame them, I don't look like I could devour three dozen cookies in half a minute. Ozpin blinks away his confusion and snaps his fingers towards the entrance at the door. Not long after the gesture, a police officer appeared at the door and Ozpin spoke "Would you be so kind as to get us some more cookies, it would be much appreciated." He says, and the officer just nods and walks off.

He turns to me and speaks "I must say, that was quiet the accomplishment, it takes serious skill to eat that fast." I blush at his words and just nod, not trusting my voice to geek out.

I was thankfully saved from that, as he took out a remote from a pocket of his. He presses a button and the window in the room is replaced with security camera footage from the robbery.

We watch it for a little bit before he turns to me again "That is some impressive skill you got there, I've only ever seen one other person handle a scythe like that before. Tell me, who taught you to wield your weapon with such impressive skill." I again blush at his praise, but I do speak.

"That would be my uncle Qrow. Before he helped me, I was absolutely abysmal with it." I awkwardly laugh as I finished, calling myself abysmal didn't even come close to how bad I was before uncle Qrow helped me.

"Qrow huh. That makes a lot of sense." He says, before we again continue watching the footage. We continued for a few more moments before Ozpin paused the recording and turned to me.

"Tell me, miss Rose, do you know who I am?" He says.

"Of course I do, you are Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon Academy, one of the best Hunters on Remnant, and so much more. You are a legend to the people of Remnant." I finished, failing to keep the excitement out of my voice. It isn't everyday you get to speak to one of the best Huntsmen on Remnant after all.

He just smiles "I'm glad you already know who I am, makes this conversation easier." He says, straightening up his posture "Tell me miss Rose, do you go to Signal?" I just nod my head "I thought so, tell me, where do you plan on going after Signal? Any specific Huntsmen Academy you wish to attend?" He finished.

I look at him and speak "I hope to go to Beacon, my mom and dad went there and now my sisters are." I say.

He raises an eyebrow and asks a question "Oh, and just who might your sisters be?" I can tell from his tone that he already knows, but I guess he wants to here it from me.

"Their names are Yang, Blake and Weiss, sir." I say with a smile.

Out of the corner of my eye, I spot Winter stiffen up a little bit. I thought that was odd, why would she do that? I didn't get to ponder it any further, as Ozpin asks another question.

"And just how good are they miss Rose?"

My smile brightens and expands even further, and I can't quite keep the reverence out of my voice "They are amazing, the absolute best of the best, cream of the crop and so much more! They have only lost sparring matches to each other, and sometimes me. You won't get any better students this year than them, sir."

He just smiles and speaks "Quiet high praise, I'll be on the lookout for them and probably even you, if you accept my proposal."

I just tilt my head, confused at what he said, what did he mean by keeping an eye on me? I decided to voice my confusion "Sir, what do you mean keep an eye on me? I still got two years at Signal." I couldn't keep the confusion out of my voice.

He just continued to smile "What I mean, miss Rose, is how would you like to go to Beacon now and not wait two years to go. You could get even better training at Beacon then Signal and you would be able to go with your sisters. Do you accept my invitation?"

Did I hear him correctly? Did he say I can go now? He must of see the look of pure confusion on my face, as he speaks again "I can assure you, I am being serious. I'm not pulling your leg and I'm not getting your hopes up for no reason, you can go to Beacon right now if you so wish. Just say the word and you'll be on your way along with your sisters." He finished, losing his smile and staring directly into my eyes.

I don't even have to think about it, graduating early and being in the same year as them? It wasn't even a hard choice. "I would like that very much, Professor." I say, barely keeping the lid on my excitement.

Professor Ozpin just smiles and speaks again "Splendid, I'll contact Signal and get everything worked out, you just go home and pack your things. Welcome to Beacon, miss Rose, we hope you become the best Huntress you can be." He finished. Just as we were about to get up, we heard a commotion outside the room and heard voices speak.

I was about to go investigate but before I could get out of my chair, three heads appeared in the doorway. Three very familiar heads.

"RUBY!" They practically shouted at seeing me. I thought about dodging their attempts to get a hold of me, but I knew it would be worthless. It wasn't about if they would catch me, it was a matter of when. So I just sat there as the three of them slam into me, checking for any sorts of injuries.

While I would say this was annoying, I would be a massive hypocrite if I said so. I know for a fact that if something like what happened to me tonight, I would be doing the same thing as them right now.

They have gotten a lot more protective since mom died, and I must admit that I have as well. We have been inseparable even before mom died, that bond only grew since then. It took dad a little while to convince us to have separate rooms.

I ideally observe them as they check for any injuries. Puberty has been kind to them all, myself included if I had to be honest.

Yang is the tallest of us, in fact, she was the tallest girl at Signal, beating the next closest, Blake, by a few inches. But height wasn't the only thing that changed about Yang, she also grew in... "other places". She became the crush of nearly every straight male at Signal, including some girls as well. The amount of times I've eased dropped on people praising her breasts couldn't of been understated. The boyfriends and the occasional girlfriend she brought home agreed hold-heartedly with those statements, and I have to agree with them as well. With the amount of times we went bra shopping for her alone, I was able to see them in all their glory. They really are magnificent, with both Blake and Weiss agreeing with me. They were definitely the biggest out of us, that's for sure. It's like all the fat that she gets added to her body goes straight to her breasts. Much to the chagrin of her and the amusement of Weiss, Blake and I.

Add to the fact that she has a nice rear end, a glorious mane of golden blonde hair, as well along with some great hips, you get the bombshell that is Yang. The amount of horny teenagers dad has had to run off just for Yang is both hilarious and quite worrying. Though, any person she has dated hasn't lasted long at all. The longest if memory serves correctly lasted about a month. The amount of hearts she has broken couldn't be understated, though not as much as Weiss.

We actually asked her one time why she breaks up with people so fast, though Blake and Weiss really has no room to talk, with their relationships lasting barely longer than Yangs, her reasoning was sound though. In her words "I'm trying to find what I like in a relationship, it just so happens that I haven't found it yet." The reasoning was sound, and both Weiss and Blake agreed with her. I haven't been in a relationship yet, so I can't say the same but I would probably agree with them given I was in one.

Blake also grew a lot since mom, and just like Yang, she didn't grow in just height. Though she did gain a bountiful chest, not like Yang's but close, her butt gained the most attention from her puberty. With the training she went through and all those gymnastics and yoga classes she took, you get a recipe for an amazing butt. The amount of times I've heard people talk about it, just as much as Yang's chest, was not funny. Like seriously, I heard it at least once everyday. It was honestly getting kinda creepy.

Though I did have to agree with them. With the amount of times we went shopping with her to get pants or something of the like, I was able to see it bare naked. It is honesty the best butt out of all of us, with Weiss and Yang agreeing, you could honestly get lost in it if you stared to long. It was honestly kinda funny. Not for Blake, the amount of times she complained about having to get new clothes couldn't be understated. Weiss, Yang and I found it funny though. Yang even joked that it was revenge for making fun of the amount of times she had to go bra shopping, it got a good chuckle out of Weiss and I, that's for sure.

The boyfriend's and girlfriend's she brought home definitely liked it, but just like Yang, her relationships didn't last long at all. The longest for her was probably just a week or two more than Yangs longest. She gave the same reason as Yang as to why her relationships never lasted long, trying to find what she likes, it was a common theme for us I suppose.

Add to fact that she had some serious hips, long black hair and her mysterious personality you get the crush a lot of people at Signal has had at one point.

Weiss has grown just as much as the rest of us. Though while she was blessed with the same things a Blake and Yang, she wasn't blessed as much in those areas. Instead, she was given some out-of-this-world beauty. She was voted the most beautiful person for her class, one which she won by a landslide. The way she carried and presented herself was all that needed to be said. The amount of people that have called her "the most gorgeous person on Patch" was palpable. I got to agree with them as well, Weiss is unnaturally beautiful, Blake and Yang agree with me as well.

She too has had been in many relationships, not as many as Blake and Yang, but enough to know what she isn't looking for. The amount of heartbreaks that she caused had left her with the nickname "Ice Queen", which was absolutely hilarious to Blake, Yang and I. Weiss on the other hand was significantly less amused with the nickname. We still call her it to annoy her from time to time and it's still just as funny as it was the first time.

With her amazing looks, white-as-snow hair, and an hourglass figure to boot, you get Weiss, the "Ice Queen" of Signal. I couldn't help but let the smirk appear on my face, it was still just to funny.

They continued to check for any kinds of injuries, all along speaking and asking me questions.

"What happened!"

"Are you alright?"

"Who attacked you!"

They were bombarding me with so many questions that it was making my head spin, thankfully, I was saved.

Someone cleared their voice, I didn't know who, but I was thankful for it. As soon as the person cleared their voice, it seems like a switch flipped in their heads, as if they just realized that they barged into a police interrogation room. They slowly turn around and it seems that they finally notice who is in the room, if their stiffening up was indicator. I couldn't quiet suppress the smirk on my face, this was just to funny.

Weiss was the first to clear the cobwebs from her brain "Professor Ozpin! It's nice to meet you!" Weiss exclaimed, adding a little bow at the end. It looked like both Yang and Blake came back from their internal thoughts as well, as they quickly done the same thing as Weiss. If I had to guess, their faces were blushing red at the moment, oh what I would give to see it!

Professor Ozpin just chuckled and held up his hand "Good evening girls, it's nice to see that you care for your sister so much, but rest assured, we made sure to check for any kind of injuries." He said, placing his hand back down.

Weiss, Blake and Yang just kinda stood there awkwardly, doing their little quirks any time they do so. Weiss turning her head to the left, Blake holding her left arm with her right and Yang scratching her head. It was honestly adorable when they do things like that, it's a shame I never get to see it that often.

Yang was the first one to speak this time "Say, Professor Ozpin, you wouldn't mind telling us what happened would you? We kinda just ran over here when we heard Ruby was in a police station and was attacked." She said, resuming her previous action.

Professor Ozpin just smirked "I can do you one better, I can let you watch what happened." With that, he rewound the video and let it play again.

After the video was over, I felt Blake half heartedly bonk me over the head with her fist, followed by two more from Yang and Weiss. I guess they weren't happy about me pursuing Roman as well.

"You dolt! What were you thinking?"

"Yeah Rubes, why did you go after him?"

"You should of just waited for a Huntsmen to show after he escaped."

I just roll my eyes while speaking "Oh, don't give me that. We all know you would of done the same thing as I did if you were in my shoes." I finish, a little annoyed at them for chastising me for something I know they would of done as well.

They too roll their eyes, with Weiss speaking "Well it didn't happen to us, so who could say what we would do?" She finished with a grin on her face. Both Blake and Yang gain one as well, and the only thing I can do is just to continue to roll my eyes, failing in trying to suppress a grin of my own. We all know for a fact that they would of done the same, they are just poking fun and being protective. I know I would of done the same if it was one of them that was in this situation.

Blake then came up to me and gave a small hug "We're just glad you're alright, also, you did pretty good out there." She said with a smile before continuing "Though, how did you not see him reach for his pocket?" She finished crossing her arms. I just scratch the back of my head in embarrassment, I don't know how I didn't see it when it was so obvious he was reaching for something in the security footage.

"I don't know, I guess the angle? Though it should of been obvious, he is one of the most notorious criminals in Vale after all, of course he would have something like that up his sleeve." I said, embarrassedly chuckling to myself.

"Well, when we have time off from Beacon I'll make sure that you don't repeat the same mistake." She said, losing a little bit of her smile and light in her eyes. I can see that both Weiss and Yang to lost some light in theirs as well. They were just as sad as I was that we had to be separated. Well used to that is.

I look to Professor Ozpin, silently asking for permission to tell them. He just nods with a smile on his face and leans back.

I look up to them, a wide smile appearing on my face "Well, your not going have to wait, because I'll be going with you all too Beacon." I say, the smile on my face only getting bigger.

They look at me, confused for a second, until it clicked. You could see the precise moment it did as well, the widening of their eyes giving it away.

"Wait, your going with us?" Blake said

"As in, with us, with us?" Yang continued their train of thought.

"Not going in two years, but going this year?" Weiss finished for them, making sure they heard me correctly.

My smile just widens even more and I nod vigorously at their questions. Their surprised looks soon morphed into ones of excitement and happiness, with their eyes brightening up as well. They we're just as happy as I was at the prospect. Now, I won't be alone at Signal, I'll have my best friends, and more importantly, sisters, with me again.

Yang was the first to outwardly react, snatching me up into a crushing bear hug. I could feel my ribs creaking in me. It didn't help at all that Weiss and Blake joined in hugging me. Their strength was nothing to scoff at either, only falling behind Yang in that category.

"Guys... can't... breath."

I managed to get out. I then feel them significantly lessen their vice grip on me before slowly putting me down. The breath of fresh air was amazing.

We heard the clearing of another voice, Professor Ozpin I could tell, and we turned towards him. "It's been a long night and I'm sure you all feel the same. But I still have to discuss what happened with my staff. Miss Rose, you are free to go, thank you for cooperating and having patience with us." We just nod and stand up to leave. On our way to the door, Blake looks back one last time before turning around. Before her head darts back behind her again. Weiss, Yang and I, throughly confused as to why she did that turned around as well. I look to were Blake was looking and I understand immediately, she is looking towards Winter. I'm going to be completely honest, I forgot she was here and it seems that the others didn't notice her with all the excitement.

Blake and Yang look between the Weiss and Winter, probably confused as to why they both look a like. Weiss on the other hand just tilts her head to the side, just as confused as the rest of us.

Weiss spoke "You look... familiar, like I've seen you around before." She states, clearly confused as to why there is an older version of herself right in front of her.

I saw Winter stiffen up a little, but she developed a smile "I'm sure you are mistakenly identifying me as someone else, though I have been to Vale before. Maybe you just saw me in passing and just remember my face?" She said. The way she worded her whole response along with her tone was weird. Not to mention how stiff she looked.

Weiss again just tilts her head "Maybe, but I'm pretty sure I've seen you somewhere else, like a face I remember but can't place. But you're probably right."

We stand for a few moments before Weiss cleared her throat "Well, I'm sure it will come to me eventually." She said before turning to me, a predatory grin on her face. Why do I have a sudden sense of dread? "Come on Ruby, if you are going to Beacon with us, that means we have to go shopping for you." I couldn't contain my whine, I love my sisters, I really do, but they are some of the worst people to shop with if it's for me. If it's not for me, then shopping with them is a grand time, but the hours they spend dressing me up is hellish sometimes. Though it would be hypocritical of me to complain, I have spent just as long doing the same things to them so I can't say anything.

Blake and Yang turn around and adopt grins of their own, I could tell that is going to be a long night.

Before we left, another head peers around the door. In said persons hand is a plate of cookies. Darn, looks like I won't get to eat those. I even forgot Professor Ozpin ordered those.

"Oh, by all means, you girls can take the cookies if you wish." Ozpin said from behind me. I didn't need another invitation, as I darted in front of the man and gracefully took the plate. I turn around to Professor Ozpin and thank him for both the opportunity and the cookies, before leaving with my sisters, us all enjoying the cookies for what little time they would last.

1...

"Professor Ozpin, sir." 'Right on time.' I thought to myself. I was waiting for that question when Weiss came in. It seems like I'm going have to answer some questions.

"Yes Winter"

"Permission to speak freely, sir." She said, coming to attention, head and eyes forward, arms crossed behind her back and legs spaced sufficiently apart. I can tell she's done this motion hundreds of times, if the way how perfectly she executed it says anything.

I sigh "This isn't Atlas Winter, please, speak your mind." I say, waiting for the inevitable question. I didn't have to wait long.

"Forgive me for my language sir, but how the fuck is my sister still alive." I internally wince at that. She isn't the happiest person right now. She is just starting straight ahead, a look of perfect calm on her face. I can tell though that she is both livid and relieved. She looks like she is about to strike me at a moments notice while at the same time running after her long lost sister. This is going to be a long night, I can tell.

I released another deep sigh before gesturing for her to sit down "That is a long story Winter, please, have a seat."

She does a perfect about face and with calculated steps, made her way over to the table. She pulled out the chair perfectly and sat down with as much grace as possible. This is going to be a long night indeed.

"What would you like to know first." I say, while gesturing for Glynda to go get us something to drink, we are going to need it. Glynda just nods and leaves the room.

It is silent for a moment, with Winter trying to straighten her self out. I can't blame her though, after all, her world just shattered with the revelation that her dead baby sister is, in fact, not so dead as she once believed.

She opens her eyes and was about to speak, but the words die on her lips, only coming out as a breath. It takes a few more moments, but she eventually gets something out.

"Why wasn't we informed that she was alive?" She says. I sigh, not because of the question, but because I have one that also needs to be answered, one that she probably isn't going to be happy with answering.

"Before I answer that, I have a question of my own, how did you know that was your sister? After all, white hair isn't that uncommon in Atlas." I tell her. I could of denied that it was her sister, but something told me I wouldn't enjoy those following moments.

She takes in a deep breath while closing her eyes, she is a pinprick away from blowing up. "I know that was my sister sir because of multiple different hints." She says, finally opening her eyes again. Those icy blue eyes of hers were living up to their color, because all I can see in them was an ice cold rage in them. Her voice was just as cold as her eyes as well.

"One being, that while white hair isn't as uncommon in Atlas as it is the rest of Remnant, it is still a rare hair color. Another being the fact that she has the name Weiss. It too isn't a common name, even in Atlas, and I've only ever personally known one person named Weiss. Add to the fact that she also looks like a younger me. Last, but not least, she would be the right age to enter Beacon right now. With her going missing at five add onto the twelve years that she has been 'dead' and you get her age. The perfect age for entering Beacon and the same age she would be if still 'alive'." She finished with barely retained anger.

I just sigh and lean back "Fair points," I then lean back up "I'll tell you why we didn't inform you, however" At that, I lean over the table a little bit "You are not to discuss what we talk about in this room. Even to General Ironwood. Is that understood."

Having this conversation in such a public place usually wouldn't be the best idea, but I made sure that this room was thoroughly cleared of any surveillance devices before I interrogated Ruby. Being the Headmaster of Beacon does have its perks after all.

Winter somehow straightens herself up even more and gave an affirmative nod.

At that time, Glynda came in with refreshments, water I noticed, and placed it down on the table. I took the pitcher and started filling up our cups. After giving Winter hers, I began.

"To get straight to the point Winter, we didn't inform you Weiss was alive because even I didn't know she was until a few months after the accident." She remained perfectly stoic at that information "By the time I knew of her being alive, Atlas and your dad already declared everyone on that boat dead. Menagerie also followed suit. It was, after all, one of the worst recorded storms in Remnant's history, so they naturally assumed that everyone on the boats died. Even if someone survived the initial explosion, land was still a few miles away, and with how bad the storm and waves were, they naturally assumed everyone died." I said, taking a sip of my water. Winter still remained stoic, arms placed firmly on her legs.

"But that isn't true, as you now know. Two survived, your sister and the Faunus girl, Blake. It was honestly a miracle that they even survived the explosion, let alone the waves.

By the time they were found by Summer Rose and Taiyang Xiao Long, they had suffered some injuries, Weiss more so, that's apparently how she got that scar on her face. The two of them took both Weiss and Blake to their house were they administered first aid. When the two woke up, Summer and Taiyang questioned them. Who they were? Were they alright? Stuff like that." I took another sip of my water.

"The thing is, they didn't know who they were, they only remembered their first names." That seemed to affect Winter as she slightly tightened up. I continued "No matter how much they tried, they could only remember their first names.

In any other situation, they would of contacted me and informed me of this development, however, Patch's local radio towers was down and so was the CCT. By the time the towers were back up and running, it had already been about two months since they were declared dead." I finish.

I could tell Winter was about to blow up at me, so I stop it before she could "I know I didn't answer your question, I'm just now getting too it." I sigh and take another sip "Tell me Winter, what was the Atlas ship carrying?" Winter looked directly into my eyes "According to SDC logs, that ship was carrying high amounts of fire dust, sir." She told me.

"Indeed it was, in fact, their was a lot of fire dust on it. So much so, that to contain it all you would have to cut some corners." I say, her eyes widening at that. "Sir, my... dad isn't the smartest of individuals but even he knows not to poorly contain fire dust. He..." She was going to continue, but she stopped, adopting a thinking face. Each second she was in her own mind, the more her eyes started to widen at each revelation she came to. "He... would be stupid enough to do that. He's greedy like that. He would put as much as he can into one ship just to save a quick buck. Doesn't matter about safety, only about the money. No wonder he didn't properly investigate it, he knew he would of been caught! He knew he would of faced a whole lot of backlash if people found out!" Winter finished, slamming her right hand on the table, leaving a noticeable dent in it.

"Damn you dad, damn you and your damned greedy hands." She muttered under her breath, before she looked to me "But that still doesn't answer my question, why didn't you tell us? If you told us, you could of busted him." She said, sending a glare towards me.

"Any other time I would of, however I couldn't this time and for good reasons at that." I lean back in my seat "You know the other ship, the one from Menagerie?" She just nodded "Well, that ship contained members of the White Fang." Winter's eyebrows shot up at that "I know this because of some informants in Menagerie, they later told me that there was indeed members on board. This was before they started getting violent, but do you really think your dad would care about that?" I question her, and she just stares ahead

"If he knew that there were members of a Faunus rights group on that ship, one that which particularly hates him, what do you think he would of done?" Winter continues to have that thousand-yard-stare and quietly replied "He would of sounded the alarm that they killed everyone on that boat, that they boarded and lit the fire dust itself."

"Exactly, and who would the Atlas council believe, your dad, owner of the richest company on Remnant and greatest supplier of dust in Remnant, or some Faunus rights group that hates said company, hates Atlas and is staged on a continent that is full of people who hate them. It easily could of lead to another war, one of which that could of surpassed even the Great War in sheer destruction." I sigh, the weight of tonight dropping on me "You can see why I didn't alert you now. It was to risky to do so." Add to the fact that world tensions were at the highest they had been in decades and you get a disaster waiting to happen. I was honestly surprised tensions didn't blow then.

"If I came out and said that I had the second born of the SDC still alive, those investigations would of happened and they would of found the same things we did. All that was needed was someone with an itchy trigger finger, and boom, the world goes up in fire." I finish with a deep sigh.

We remain there for a little bit before I broke the silence again "Another, though not nearly as important reason of why I didn't inform you, is because Summer and Taiyang wouldn't of gave up Weiss and Blake." I say with a smile "During the time when the towers were out, they formally adopted the both of them. They became attached to them almost immediately.

They didn't know if they had any family left. After all, why would two little girls be on a ship if it wasn't with their families after all." That made me stop to think, why the hell were they even on those ships?

"Winter, maybe you can shed some light, but do you know why Weiss on that ship?" I question her, now entirely curious as to why she would even be on there. Winter looks at me and with a sigh, speaks "I honestly have no idea. Best guess I have is that dad wanted Weiss to get some real world experience? I know, she was five, so it doesn't make any sense, but does anything that man do make any sense?" Winter said. I just silently agreed with her, he does make a lot of questionable decisions.

We are silent for a moment longer before Winter breaks it "Tell me, is Weiss happy with her new family?" She questions, worry evident in her voice. Even if she hasn't seen Weiss in over a decade, those big sister instincts are still kicking.

I just smile and let out a small chuckle "I don't know if you were paying attention, but just from earlier I could tell you she is extremely happy. Even excluding that, I can positively tell you that she is both loved and cherished. Both by her sisters and her dad." I tell her. She adopts a unreadable look for a moment before looking to me again "What can you tell me about her new... family." I could tell it was awkward for her to say that. In her mind, Weiss's only family has been at home in Atlas, though I could tell she is coming to terms that she has found a new family away from her original.

"I can give you one better, I'll let you read about them. Though I should tell you about her parents first before her sisters." I take another sip of my water "As I have mentioned, the people who took her in and adopted her were Summer Rose and Taiyang Xiao Long."

"Were?" Winter questioned.

"Yes, Summer Rose is unfortunately dead. She died a little over five years after the accident between the two ships, leaving only Taiyang to take care of them all. He has trained and guided them in the ways of becoming a Huntresses since the death of Summer. By the looks of it, it paid off tremendously."

At that moment, I take out my remote again press a button, before taking out my scroll and connecting it to the projector.

"You might want to listen as well Glynda, these are some of Winter and yours future students transcripts." At that she straightened herself up and paid full attention to the projector. She is a real good teacher.

I press a button and a picture of the oldest sister appears on the screen.

"Yang Xiao Long, she is 17 years old and has graduated from Signal Academy along with her sisters Blake Xiao Long and Weiss Xiao Long." I start us off, giving a basic overview of her and the others.

"Finished top of her class in multiple categories, including hand to hand sparring, were she went undefeated for the past two years in that category alone." I tell the two ladies in the room, who were quite shocked at that revelation. I can't blame them, I too was shocked to learn that.

"Who was it that defeated her?" Glynda questioned.

"According to the combat records, it was a student who was just about to graduate who specialized in hand to hand combat itself. Even then, apparently it was a very close match, with the other student winning due to Yangs aura getting below red with her opponent nearly dipping there as well. Apparently the next time they faced against each other Yang won soundly and has been going on strong since." I tell them what the combat records say. She is a Prodigy when it comes to that stuff.

I can tell by their looks that they are impressed with that, but I still have a long list of achievements to go.

"She finished with perfect scores in engineering, an elective, sure, but she had four years of it, never once getting below a hundred on all her written and practical quizzes. It was honestly shocking to learn that. She is a natural born Prodigy when it comes to engineering, with her magnum opus being a motorcycle she created herself that she nicknamed named "Bumblebee"."

Again I can tell that they were shocked by that, with scores like that she could get work for almost any engineering firm she wanted. She was actually invited to join a lot of them, but she had her sights set on being Huntress and I couldn't of been happier with her decision.

"That is indeed a massive accomplishment, in fact, I don't think we've had someone who has scored like that in engineering go to Beacon before." Glynda said, throughly impressed.

I just smirk "We aren't done with her yet." I say before turning my attention back "To add to the fact that she is absolutely prodigious at both engineering and hand to hand, she is also amazing at being a medic." That threw them for a loop just like it did me, who would of thought that the brawler would also be a healer. "Surprising, I know, I had the same face as you two when I learned that. But yes, it's true. While not as good as her engineering scores her medical work is nothing to scoff at. Scoring above a 95 average every year. She was the second best when it came to the written portion of tests, only beat out by Weiss. However, when it came to field work, she has constantly held the first place spot."

Again, they weren't expecting that "Just what can't this girl do?" Winter questioned. That was a fair question and honestly, she can do just about everything. All of them can, including Ruby.

"To be completely honest, she can do just about everything. In fact, she has constantly been in 1st-4th place in all core subjects. The only places she isn't first, is occupied by one of her sisters."

At that, I pull up the others files, excluding Ruby's as I don't have hers at the moment.

"As you can see, whatever places Yang doesn't place first, it is usually one of these two that take the spot."

I scan them all, looking at the gold mine of potential I've struck. By the gods is it a big one indeed.

I press another button, and it shows the placements of all the best students in each category, from math to stealth and tracking, it was all listed here.

"By the gods..." Glynda said in awe, and I can't blame her, these girls may very well be the best Beacon has ever received and probably ever will receive. Surpassing even Team STRQ in potential.

"Math: Weiss Xiao Long, first place for two years straight. Sciences: Weiss Xiao Long, first place for three years straight. Social Studies/History: Blake Xiao Long, for four years straight. Language Arts: Blake Xiao Long, for four years straight." Glynda read, absolutely flabbergasted at the rows of information.

"It's normal for a kid to excel at one, two maybe even three subjects, but this, this is ridiculous. They blow everyone else out in comparison. A student might be the best in one thing for maybe a year, but that's it. The course work changes and some are better than others in certain categories while worse in others. But I don't see that with them, if it wasn't for them competing for first against each other, then they all would be in first place in many other categories. The sheer amount of potential they have is absolutely amazing." She said, still marveling at the scores of what is to probably be her favorite students.

"I have a question." Winter says from beside me. She gets up and points to certain categories "What about this class, more specifically the blacksmithing class, who beat them there?" She pointed out. It seems that she noticed that as well.

"That would be Ruby, Winter." I say as I pull up the blacksmithing class. Here, future Hunters/Huntresses forge their own weapons, arguably one of the most important classes a Huntsmen school can teach.

"Let's see, it says here that Ruby has dominated this class since she first got into it. According to reports, Ruby took to it "like a fish to water", not once giving up the number one spot. She is apparently a natural savant when it comes to weapons. In fact, she helped create all her sister's weapons, being the primary designer for them all. When it comes to weapons of any kind, you won't find anyone else better for the job it seems." Again, the sheer amount of talent is amazing.

"In all the classes she has that only has students from her grade, she is number one in all. Her year's Math? Number one. Her year's Science? Number one. So and so on. She is just that good." If she gets put on a team with her sisters, it isn't a matter of if they come better than Team STRQ, but when. I'm glad I invited her, these four are going to shake the world, I just know it.

We silently just read over the transcripts until Glynda points something out "Hey, what about discipline? Have they ever got in trouble?" I pull it up, but I talk while doing so, already knowing its contents.

"Other than the occasional goofing off in class, they have been suspended only two times." Glynda sends a look my way and I answer the unasked question "The first time they got suspended was back before they went to Signal Academy, were a group of eight students was bullying Ruby. Weiss, Blake and Yang didn't take a liking to this and came to her defense. It soon escalated into a 4v8, with them surprisingly coming out on top. They were suspended for a few days due to fighting, but that is it for a few years."

I press another button and my expression darkens a little "The second time they had numbers advantage, before you say anything Glynda let me tell you what Qrow said what happened. As he was the teacher in charge at the time." She locks her lips, intrigued as to what Qrow had to say

I started Qrow's report "During combat class, Weiss was going up against a male student. She beat him in combat and was going to lend a hand to him. He proceeded to swat her hand away and started to verbally assault her, along with Ruby, Yang and Blake. He threw around insults, sexists remarks and racists comments at Blake. Some of them being, but not limited to, and I quote "Get your filthy hands off me you bitch!" "Shut the fuck up you whore!" "You shut your mouth you ducking rabid animal!" Along with many more. I, naturally, was... aggravated at his comments and was about to take him to the office. As I was approaching him, he turned around and was heading towards the door, though not before turning around and looking at Weiss and Blake and said his final remark "I hope your whore of a mother experienced as much pain as possible when she died. Fucking sluts, the lot of you." It should be noted that this person has attempted to get with them on multiple occasions, with them rebuffing him every time. I going to be honest and say I was a little bit peeved. Before I could reach him, he turned around and towards the door. Let it be stated that he went out of his way to get in Yang's path. Just before he came into contact with her he said "Out of my way you fucking whore!" Then proceeded to shoulder check and push her. She then retaliated with Ruby Weiss and Blake "coming to Yang's defense". It took me and the entire class to get the girls of him.

Let it be known, that they wouldn't of fought him if the boy didn't physically touch Yang in any way. We will be investigating and figuring out why the kid blew up like that.

That is all for my report."

I finish and I can see their expressions darken. "This happened about two years ago. The boy was later expelled and the four of them received a two week suspension, mainly due to the injuries the boy sustained." I tell them.

It was silent for a moment before Winter broke it "Going to be honest, they had more restraint than I would have if I was in that situation."

Glynda spoke soon after "I have to concur with you on that." She said, before turning to me "So you think that will be a problem for them here at Beacon? Insulting their mother, that is." I look at Glynda and speak "Trust me, if someone says something similar at Beacon, I may very well join them on the grounds of "protecting my students"." Glynda rolls her eyes, but I can tell that if something like that happened she would "accidentally" look the other way. You don't just insult someone like Summer, who gave up as much as she did for Remnant, and not get a licking or two out of it.

I drink the last bit of my water before standing up "Well, it has been a long night. Winter I hope I answered your questions throughly and if you have any more don't be afraid to ask. Here take a copy of their transcripts." I say to her, sending a copy of them to her scroll. Something tells me she will be pouring over them for a while.

"I'll see you all tomorrow, have a great night." With that, I walk out of the interrogation room and head my way to Beacon. My head filled with optimism for the future, I have a very good feeling about those girls, something is telling me they are going to be special.

Whew! Another 12k chapter! I didn't expect that!

I honestly liked this chapter quiet a bit. I'm kinda happy with it. Sure there were definitely ways I could of improved it, but overall I'm happy. But you could feel the opposite, please let me know if you do, it helps me a lot.

We are now in Cannon! Yay! As you can see, Winter is here early. Cannon was already derailed, might as well do so even more.

I actually got the idea from a Guest review. So please review! You may just have a great idea I might include in here if I like it, or if it's feasible.

As you can see, I decided to have Winter here as a teacher. But why is she here? Well, your just going have to wait and find out huh?

Also, let me know if you want me to write some of these scenes that I have mentioned but haven't fully expanded upon, like them getting suspended and stuff like that.

I had to take a lot of creative liberties this chapter so I hope you don't really mind them.

Also, that was my first ever fight scene. Let me know if you liked it or not and tell me were I can improve. It will only help.

Well I think that is all, so, until next time and have a great day!
