Hello and welcome back to another chapter! I hope you enjoy it!
I don't own RWBY, please support the official release.
Ruby's POV
I wake up from my slumber and stare up into the ceiling of our room. It has been three days since we completed the initiation and our first day of classes is today.
I climb down from the top bunk that I was sleeping on. I smile at the thought, we packed a decent amount of stuff on our way to Beacon, so much so that we didn't have enough space to house the beds separately. Thankfully I came up with the solution for bunk beds. It was something we actually always wanted when we were back at the house, though dad did convince us to have our own rooms.
The bunk beds themselves were surprisingly stable all things considered. With Yang putting them together using literal duct tape and whatever else she could scavenge from our belongings. It was a tight fit, but she was able to put those engineering skills to good use and came up with our current arrangements.
I look around the dark room, the only light being the moon outside. Weiss and I were sharing one of the bunk beds, with me on top and her on bottom. For Yang and Blake, it was decided that since Yang did all the heavy lifting she should sleep where she wanted to. She decided that she wanted the top bunk and that left Blake with the bottom one.
I heard the sounds of bodies turning in their sleep and notice that the three of them were awakening. With stretches all around, they blinked the last bit of sleep out of their eyes and were prepared to start their day.
I look to a clock that Weiss brung with her and read the time. 2:00 A.M., exactly four hours since we went to sleep.
I still can hardly believe that we only need four hours of sleep. It was needless to say, but those extra four hours were godsends when it came for us to train and do whatever else we wanted. We gained hundreds upon hundreds of more hours over our fellow students over the years. If it wasn't for this power of ours, then we would be nowhere near as good as we are now.
"Our first class starts at 8:00, so we have some time. What do you guys want to do?" I silently question them.
Weiss gets up from her bed and does one more final stretch before turning towards me "I say we go to the cafeteria and get some coffee." She says, slipping on her slippers.
"Why get coffee when tea is clearly so superior?" Blake called out to her twin. I just sigh, they've had this argument for what's felt like a million times and if they got their way, I'll hear it a million more.
Weiss rolls her eyes at the question "Because I don't want my tastebuds to experience the torture that is your clearly inferior drink." She said back to Blake, making sure to remain quiet.
Blake just scoffs at that "Inferior? At least my drink doesn't taste like literal dirt when I drink it." She fired back at Weiss.
All I could do was sigh, how can tow people be so similar yet so different? I just shake my head and intervene before they can escalate this even further "Guys quieten down, there is still people trying to sleep." I tell them. They look at me like they were about to argue, but they held it in. I only smiled at them "We'll go down towards the cafeteria and get some coffee and tea, I could use a cup of either of those right now."
"I say that after we do that, we head towards the gym, get some exercise in before classes start." Yang chimed in, descending from her bed.
We all nod at that, a good exercise to get our blood pumping sounds great. We change into proper clothes for working out and pack another change of clothes for afterwards, Beacon has locker rooms for students that have showers in them and we plan on using it after the gym.
After we are sure we have everything, we head out the door and tread quietly down the hallway towards the cafeteria. Upon entering, we head towards the coffee brewer and start a pot. Blake in the meanwhile makes me and her a cup of tea each.
Once both were done brewing, we sat down at a table and quietly talked amongst ourselves. We sat there for about 20 minutes, sipping down our choice of drink.
After we got done drinking, we cleaned up and headed off towards Beacons gym.
"It's a miracle that this place has a gym open 24/7. I wonder why they do though?" Yang spoke to us, a hand resting on her chin in contemplation. I only shrugged my shoulders at her, honestly curious as to why they did as well. "Maybe it's for the staff? Or maybe for people with a semblance that allows them to sleep less?" I threw out to her.
"That... actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it." Yang started "The staff would be busy most of the day with teaching, leaving them with not much time to train. The only time they would have would be in the evenings or late at night." She finished, seeming satisfied with the answer. We continued on our way in relative silence, enjoying the peace of the late hour.
We finally arrived at the entrance to the gym, and using the student ID's that were given to us the day after initiation, entered the large room.
There were many machines in here, all suited and aimed for people with unlocked aura. The weights in here weren't made for regular people in mind, they were meant for people who took on monsters that weighed in the tons of weight. People like us.
We lay down our bags near the wall and made our way to a mat and began some warm up stretches. We done so for about ten minutes before Yang got up and headed towards the dumbbell rack. I noticed that she decided to warm up a bit when she chose the 100 pound ones.
Weiss and Blake headed towards a treadmill together while I stayed on the mat, doing some final stretches. It wasn't much longer until I started to do my routine for the day.
I started with some standard pushups, 10 reps of 30. It took me about ten minutes to complete all my reps, by the end of them I was sweating a little bit and took a small break before I went back at it.
And that is how it went, I done some one handed pushups, followed by some knuckle pushups before I then done those one handed as well. To finish them up, I done some finger ones, starting with all them at first, until eventually I got down to only a single finger.
I heard the sound of footsteps approaching and noticed that it was Blake who was approaching, sweat dripping down and soaking into her top. I wonder what she wants?
She didn't say anything but only sent a mischievous smirk my way before doing a perfect handstand, then proceeded to do a pushup while still doing a handstand. I send a playful glare her way before doing the same thing, accepting the untold challenge.
I done one myself and look her way, she only smiles before taking one of her hands off the mat and then did another one that way. Not to be outdone, I copied her once again. She then done one on her fingers and just like before I answered right back.
We continued to do this until we were only on our thumbs and if I had to be honest with myself, I was starting to feel the pressure. The sweat was pouring off of me in buckets. I was consecrating as hard as I can so I wouldn't fall over, Blake on the other hand, was as cool as a cucumber, not at all acknowledging that the only thing holding her up was her thumb.
She continued to only smile my way, egging me on to continue and I wasn't about to disappoint. For five more minutes I continued to go at it with her, but in the end I finally conceded defeat and fell over, my heart was beating a mile a minute while my lungs greedily took in air. I looked to Blake and noticed that she was at least now sweating a decent amount. I send a half hearted glare her way, annoyed that I lost our little match.
"You done real good Ruby, you lasted longer than Weiss and Yang did at least." I smile at that, satisfied that I did better than those two, "But, you all failed to match my greatness in the end." Blake ended with a mock look of pity thrown my way, her smile still ever present. I just roll my eyes at that and instead of responding I just send a sour look her way that also contained a hint of awe as well. Blake's stability and flexibility was honestly awe inspiring, the way she has total control of her body was a sight to observe.
"So, why did you come over here?" I question her and the smile she had only got bigger "To aggravate you." She said cheekily. I can only deadpan at that, not because I don't believe her, but because I do believe she would stop her workout just to aggravate me.
"Really? That's it?" I questioned her in a monotone voice, the glint in her eyes told me all I needed to know "It is my sworn duty as a big sister to do so." I give the biggest eye roll I can manage before I sit up and take a gulp of my water. As I was screwing the lid back on, I heard Blake speak again "So, what else do you got to do?" She said, plumping her sizable rear on the floor. I shake the thought from my head and I answered "Sit ups, planks, stuff like that." I tell her and she just nods. We sit there for a moment before she stands back up "Well, I've messed with you long enough, enjoy the rest of your workout Ruby."
With that she turned around and headed towards Weiss who was currently getting ready for a bench press it seems. My eyes though weren't focused on that, instead they darted down towards Blake's butt for a brief moment, the way it shook and jiggled when she walked was hypnotizing. I again shake the perverse thoughts from my head for probably the millionth time, why did puberty bless the three of them to look so good? Why did it curse me with such perverse thoughts? I again shake my head and continue my workout.
Two hours passed by in no time at all, with me doing all different kinds of exercises. After I did some sit ups and planks, I done pull ups, some two handed, others one handed. After that, I lifted some weights and got on the treadmill for the rest of the time.
By the time we all decided to head for the showers, we were all covered in sweat from head to toe. I knew we smelt awful because Blake looked like she took a bite out of the worlds most sour lemon. It was both a blessing and a cures to have such great sense.
"That got the blood pumping, did it." Yang said to three of us. We all nodded at her statement, a little to winded to answer back immediately.
I was the first of us to recover "Let's do some cool down stretches then we can head towards the locker rooms." They nodded in agreement and with that we spent about 15 minutes doing some more stretches. After we were done, we got our bags and made our way towards the locker room.
It took about five minutes, but we finally arrived inside and set our bags back down. We started stripping our selves of our sweat soaked clothes all the way down to our birthday suits. A slight shiver went through my body at the cool temperature of the room, goosebumps appearing on my bare skin.
"A little chilly in here isn't it?" I say aloud. "That it is Ruby, but the warm water is about to change that." I heard Weiss say from behind me, letting out a small moan at the thought of a nice warm shower.
I couldn't blame her either, that sounded amazing right about now. I turn around and take out a towel before laying it on a bench. I then take my workout clothes and place them inside the bag, all the while unconsciously glancing at Yang, Blake and Weiss. I've seen them all naked before when we either tried on clothes or bathed together, so I wasn't surprised when I saw drop dead bodies. I gain a small blush. I have however been looking at those bodies more than I have before.
I've been sneaking looks at Yang's very sizable breasts whenever they were bare, including now. I've stared at Blake's butt for far longer than I have ever before and Weiss's beauty has never been more defined and prevalent than it has been. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I just can't get them out of my head.
I shake the metaphorical cobwebs out of my head and turn back around and retrieve my shampoo, conditioner and body wash from my bag.
"Well, I'm going to shower, see you three in a little bit." I tell them and speedily walk off towards one of the showers.
To offer as much privacy as possible, Beacon had walls that separated each shower. It also had a curtain that you could pull close to offer even more privacy. It was a nice little touch.
I closed the curtain behind me and turn on the water. I stood to the side as the water started blasting, anticipating the cold water that first came out. After properly adjusting the temperature to a suitable degree, I let the hot water flow over my form.
I let out a low moan at the feeling of the water rushing over me, easing the tension and soreness that had befallen my muscles. I continued to let the water flow over my bare body and face, enjoying the feeling it left me. I eventually take out the shampoo and conditioner and squirt some into my hands before rubbing it through my short black and red hair. I scratched deep into my scalp, enjoying the sensation that my fingernails left.
After throughly coating my hair in the stuff, I rinsed it all off. It washed from my hair and the majority landed on the ground below, and was sucked into the drain.
I let my hair soak for a few more minutes before I turned my attention to my body. I took out a sponge and after throughly wetting it, I applied some body wash.
I throughly scrubbed my body down, from the top of my neck to the bottom of my toes, I didn't leave a single spot unclean. I did however pay special attention to my relatively impressive breasts, my nice shapely butt and my thighs. I was getting lost in the feeling of the sponge scrubbing across my body, it's rough texture sending goosebumps across my body. My free hand ideally slipped down towards my buttocks, my hand felt like it was touching velvet.
I began squeezing, my fingers melting into the soft tissue. I laid down my sponge, completely forgetting about the shower. The now free hand goes straight to my chest, finding purchase on one of my perky boobs. I then began squeezing it to, my pointer and middle finger lightly pinching my nipple.
I let out a low groan of pleasure, my mind being filled with lust. I started to pick up the speed and pressure with my hands, a fantasy manifesting in my mind.
In it, soft but firm hands found their place on my skin, feeling it up and down. They then began going towards my privates, slowly but surely. Their nails were slowly scraping towards their destination, every inch they moved felt like paradise to my nerves, making me shiver in anticipation.
They finally found their destination, firmly grasping my butt and boobs, leaving me lowly moaning in pleasure. More hands soon came, at first it was only two, now there were six, all exploring my body. Some found their ways to my thighs, another found it's way to my throat, ever so slightly adding pressure. I shivered in pleasure at the imagination, yearning for more of the touch.
Their breath was heavy, freely flowing over my neck and ears. My hand that was on my butt slowly let its grip go, moving towards the front and towards the grave between my thighs. Just as it was about to make contact, a cough snapped me back to reality.
"You ok Blake?" I heard Weiss question. "Yeah I'm fine, just some water that got up my nose is all." I heard her reply back.
My hands sprung away from my body at lightning speed, my heart was beating a mile a minute and breath was rough and ragged. I shut off the shower, and placed my hands on the wall, trying to get my bearings straight.
After gaining my breath, I slicked my hair back to get the water out of my eyes and opened the curtain to the shower and immediately made my way to my towel, wanting nothing more to dry off and forget what just happened.
"Hey Rubes, are you out?" It seems that wouldn't be happening. I collected my thoughts once more before replying "Yeah, I am. What is it?" I question her.
"Can you come here? I need some help." I will freely admit that my heart stopped for a second at that, what could she want? Did she actually need my help or did she hear me in the shower? Was she mad? There was a million thoughts running through my head at the moment but there was only one way to find them all out.
I walked up to the shower I heard her voice from and stopped in front of it "I'm here. What do you want?" I asked.
"Can you come in here and here and help me wash my hair? You know how much of a pain it can be sometimes." My heart rate slowed at that, so she didn't here me.
"Yeah, I'll help." I tell her and then open the curtain. The first thing that I saw was the very bountiful chest of my oldest sister. I pry my eyes from her chest and look at her eyes, trying not to look back down. "So, what do you need me to do?" I say as I walk up to her, trying to keep a blush off my face.
Yang looks down at me with thankful eyes and speaks "Thanks Ruby, can you shampoo the bottom of my hair while I get the top?" She asked me, I nod and take the shampoo bottle and squirt some of it into my hand.
I take the bottom half of Yangs hair and start running my hands through her thick golden locks. Yangs hair was amazing, and in Blake's Weiss's and my opinion, the best out of us. She prided herself on her hair, taking extremely good care of it, and it paid off massively. The vibrant golden mane was a sight to get lost in, something you could stare at for countless hours and still be amazed by its beauty. The blush Yang gained when we said that exact thing to her was just as funny as it was adorable.
I continued to run my hands through her hair, my thoughts wondering about.
"Enjoying the sight Ruby?" Yang questioned me suddenly. I blink and then go completely scarlet. I was too lost in my thoughts to notice that I was staring straight at Yangs butt for a unknown amount of time. What is wrong with me? I've never been this bad.
What I said next didn't help at all "Yeah, I am." My eyes widen immensely at what I just uttered from my mouth, why did I say that? What is wrong with me!?
I look to Yang's face, trying to think of anything to save some face, but nothing comes up. Yang just stared at me, seemingly perplexed that I answered that way. Just as I was about to apologize, I was stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed Yang gain an absolutely predatory grin. A dangerous glint forming in her eyes. Why do I have a bad feeling about this?
"Oh, you like staring at my ass? And here I thought these were my best assets." She said, turning around and grabbing her boobs, shaking them about. My face somehow goes even more red and all I can do was stare in the complete opposite direction, trying not to look Yangs way.
Yang's smile diminishes somewhat as she takes her hands off her boobs "Hey, Ruby, don't look so down. I was only just playing with you." She said, walking up to me. She turned my head her way, worry spreading across her face "Hey are you alright? I know you were just staring off into space, so don't think I'm mad at you." She said, trying to make me feel better. It works, so I smile, trying to cheer her up as well. "I'm fine Yang." I tell her and by the looks of it she didn't believe me. I didn't believe me either.
"Are you sure? You know you can tell me anything." She tried again, her hand squeezing my shoulder. I only continued to smile "Yeah, I was just thinking about what classes would be like is all." I told her. I didn't technically lie to her, because I was wondering what they would be like today, it's just that it wasn't on my mind at the moment. From the looks of it, Yang caught it as well but she decided not to press the issue.
She let go of my shoulder, still with a melancholic look in her eyes "Alright, good to know. Again, I'm sorry about that Ruby, it was uncalled for."
Again, I just continued to smile. "It's alright Yang, looking back it was actually kind of funny, I was just caught off guard is all." I said to her, trying to bring the atmosphere back up. It seems it worked as a smile reapers on her face. I'm glad as well, she didn't look like herself without it.
"Well Blake and Weiss should be getting out soon so we should hurry up." She said. I nod at her and she nodded right back, turning around towards the shower head. I do have one last thing to say to her though "Yang" she turned her head my way "your best asset is your hair." I tell her with a smile on my face. One appears on hers as well, a genuine one at that. She nods my way again and we start back on her hair.
Yang's POV
It wasn't much longer until we finally washed the behemoth that was my glorious mane of golden hair. It might be a nightmare to maintain sometimes, but it is well worth it.
We exit the shower with Ruby taking the lead. I look at her, thinking about the conversation we just had. I still feel bad that I called her out for starting at me even though I knew she wasn't. That was an asshole move on my part. Though, her reaction was quite peculiar. Any time I've done something similar to her she never quiet reacted like that. Sure, she would blush sometimes but she never admitted to actually liking what she sees.
That did get me thinking, Ruby has been staring at the three of us a lot more recently. It was honestly quite flattering but it does bring up the question, is Ruby starting to develop crushes on us? I look at her more closely, trying to find any indication of the fact. She glanced over to her left and saw the naked forms of Weiss and Blake, who were talking while blow drying their hair. I noticed the slightest blush flake her cheeks when she looked at them.
It isn't definite, but she really well could be developing a crush on us. A blush appears on my cheeks at that. I thought I would be more uncomfortable with the fact that my little sister may have a crush on me, but it surprisingly didn't bother me at all. But for all I know I could just be misinterpreting things, she might not even have a crush at all. I'm going have to test to see if she does.
After thoroughly drying myself off with my towel, I walk up to one of the blow dryers they have on the wall. I start drying it off, getting every spot that I could, however, I could tell this was going to take a while. Again, my hair looks amazing but it was nightmarish to maintain.
I felt someone tapping my shoulder so I looked back to see who it was. I saw it was Weiss, Blake and Ruby with dryers themselves. They looked at them and then to me, not having to communicate anything. I smile at the kind gesture and just nod. They smile right back and with that I leaned backwards in my seat and relaxed.
I usually ask for help when drying my hair, but given the fact that they were doing the same I didn't ask them for help. They must have been close to done though as I did just start on my hair.
I felt the hot hair blow into my hair, evaporating the water clinging to it. I felt their hands grab some strands, getting a better position to continue drying. This is nice. I wouldn't trade moments like this for anything in the world I thought with a content smile.
It was much longer until I heard the sounds of the dryers clicking off, my hair now completely dry. I stand up and observe it in the mirror, it was all over the place and messed up, but I can brush it before we leave for breakfast. I turn around and hug each of them out of appreciation, our naked bodies touching one another.
A blush starts to forms on my face for some reason, wired, I've never felt like that before. I shake the thought from my head and look to the three of them. "You three ready to head back?" I ask them, and I received nods of approval. With that, we got dressed and packed our bags, making our way back to our room.
On our way back we noticed that the early risers of Beacon academy was starting to get up. I looked to a clock on the wall and saw that it was 6:00, meaning there was an hour until the breakfast line began. We enter our room and throw our bags to the wayside.
"I'll clean our clothes after classes today." Blake ideally told us, plopping down on my bed. I sit down next to her and laid down, enjoying the soft feeling of it. We still had about twenty minutes to do whatever we wanted before we should start getting ready but I had nothing I really wanted to do.
I looked to Blake, trying to think of something to say to pass the time, but I couldn't think of anything. I laid their awkwardly for a few more moments until I came up with something to do. With a sly smile I grab Blake by the shoulders and force her body onto the bed next to me, adopting a big spoon position. The little 'eep!' sound she made was absolutely adorable.
She looked over her shoulder, annoyance clear in her eyes. I stick my tongue out at her, daring her to escape my clutches or say anything. She continued to stare at me, but with a small smile and a roll of her eyes, she turned back around and relaxed. Happy that I'll get some snuggle time for a few minutes I place my arms around her slender waist and lay my head on her shoulder, enjoying the close contact with her.
Ruby and Weiss in the meanwhile was fixing each others hair. They went with their usual styles, Weiss with hers in a ponytail and Ruby with it just regularly brushed.
We sat in silence for a few more minutes, just enjoying the company of one another until Blake finally got up and sat down in a chair with a brush of her own. Just when she was about to start, I take the brush from her and start doing it instead. She looked up to me, confusion clear in her eyes "What's got you in such a good mood?" She asked me, a smile on her face. I to smile down at her and with a shrug of my shoulders I answer "I don't know, just having a real good mood." I tell her. She smiles and leans back into the chair, awaiting my grooming.
I run the brush through her hair, styling it the way she usually always wore it. She had the longest hair next to me so it took a minute to do so, but I finally got it the way she wanted.
I then take her place in the chair and lean back, awaiting my turn. Ruby and Weiss come over with brushes of their own to help her with the job that is brushing my hair.
With the three of them it didn't take all that long to properly style and brush it the way I usually did. While they were brushing it, we talked amongst ourselves, trying to guess what the day would be like.
When they were finally done, the time on the clock read 6:50.
"You guys want to head on down towards the cafeteria?" Blake asked us all.
"Yeah, let's go, they might start the line early." I respond to her. Weiss and Ruby nodded in agreement with me and with that we made our way out the door and started our way to the cafeteria.
When we opened the door, we heard commotion from across the hallway in JNPRs room. There was the sound of someone falling, something crashing and the sound of a girly scream all at once.
We looked at one another, bewildered at what we heard.
"Should we check up on them?" Ruby asked, sounding mildly concerned that something bad happened. There was another crash followed by the sound of someone laughing and followed by a groan.
"I'm sure they're fine." Weiss reassured Ruby, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. She hesitantly nodded at that and started walking towards the cafeteria.
We entered with about three minutes until the line officially opened. There was a few people walking about, mainly staff, I noticed. I looked over them all and spot that Winter woman.
I eye her curiously, she does indeed look like a grown up Weiss. From the way she held herself to her looks, she radiates what I imagined Weiss would look like in a few years. 'It seems that Weiss will somehow get more beautiful.' I ideally thought to myself.
I look to Weiss who was also looking at Winter, a contemplative and complicated look on her face.
"I know I've seen her before." Weiss said, a little frustrated that she couldn't remember where she saw her. Ruby, Blake and I unconsciously place a hand on her shoulders for support. She gained a small appreciative smile at those actions and took Blake's hand in her own.
She shook her head, probably trying to forget about the situation and to focus on something else "Well, the line seems to be open, come on, I want to see if they can beat dads cooking." She told us, taking the lead to the breakfast line. I was concerned for her, we all were concerned for her. Winter may very well be a lost token from before she arrived on Patch and Weiss knows that as well, it wasn't hard to tell that it was eating her up.
The same could be said for Winter as well, anytime she saw Weiss she always had a complicated and forlorn look, like she knows exactly who Weiss was. There was always the chance that we could be wrong and that it was just a coincidence that the two looked alike and that they just so happened to see each other in passing before, but something is telling me that's not the case.
I shake the thoughts from my head as well, putting it at the back of my mind. We can cross that bridge when/if we have too, not right at the moment.
I followed behind them all and entered the line. We didn't have to wait long due to us being early, and I must say, it was a great decision.
There were many trays filled with some of the most mouthwatering food that I've ever seen. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, hash browns, bread, gravy and so, so much more. Oh we are going to eat like kings here.
It took us about five minutes to get through the whole line and by the end our plates were nearly overflowing with food. We chose a place to sit down and began devouring the food at head turning speeds.
"You know, us having to eat more is both a blessing and a curse." I threw out between bites, the three of them just nodded at me relaying their agreement. Ever since our auras unlocked we've had to eat a whole lot more food. Usually that would mean just eating twice as much as regular people who haven't unlocked their aura. For people who have unlocked auras, they have a increase in their metabolism. It's still unknown why that was the case, but it was speculated that aura itself breaks down calories at a increased speed, leading to people having to naturally eat more.
But, we aren't regular people, we have to eat four times as much as someone without an aura. It was still something we all pondered, what happened to us that day?
I put the question in the back of my mind, we haven't been able to answer it for years now, so better not worry about answering it now.
After we got done with the plates we currently had, we stacked them up and took them to the designated place to place dirty dishes. We then got back in line, that was now much longer due to more students now pouring in. It was about three minutes until we finally got more food and went to sit back down.
"Oh look, there's Team JNPR." Ruby said, making her way over to them. They already had their food, so they were in front of us in the line the second time it seemed. Nora just so happened to look our way and upon noticing us, a great big smile crossed her face, "Hey, you guys! Come over here and eat with us!" She yelled out across the cafeteria.
When we finally sat down, Nora spoke once again "Did you know they have pancakes!? That's amazing isn't it!" She hollered, still hyper active as ever. Ruby smiles at her and responds "Yeah, we actually got some on our first go through." She said, earning an approving nod from Nora and a confused glance from Jaune "First? You went already?" He asked, confusion lining his voice.
"Yeah, we got here as soon as the line opened." I told him, taking a bite of bread. We devoured the food just as fast as the last, the mountain of food disappearing in no time at all. We looked over Team JNPRs way, stunned looks on their faces. Jaune looked to our faces, then to our stomachs then back again, not quite believing what he witnessed.
"When our auras were unlocked, it kicked our metabolism into high gear." I answered their unasked question, everyone always had the same question when they first see us eat.
Nora was the first to get out of her stupor and looked at us like we were the most fascinating things in the world, with a hand under her chin she started asking questions "So, how do you four know each other? The way you four worked together in the forest was something only people who have worked together for years would be able to accomplish." She asked, a big smile on her face awaiting an answer.
We looked to one another, small smiles gracing our faces, I bring Blake into a shoulder hug while speaking "Were sisters actually." I tell them. If they were confused about our eating habits then they were dumbfounded when we said that. Their eyes darted to each of us, trying to connect the pieces together. Jaune was the first to speak "Sorry if this sounds rude, but, you four look nothing alike." He said, particularly looking Blake's way.
Blake noticed his look and just smiled, "It's not rude, you wouldn't believe the amount of times we've had to explain this." Blake said, looking at Team JNPR, staring her tale, "A little over a decade ago, an accident happened that left me and Weiss orphaned and with no memories of who we were." She started off, with Weiss now taking the lead "Thankfully we were rescued and given proper treatment of our injuries. The people who done so just so happened to already have two daughters." She said, pointing at Ruby and I.
"They couldn't find any living family members for us, so, them being good people, adopted Weiss and I." Blake said, finishing up were Weiss left off.
"We've been with each other ever since." I said, bringing Blake in closer. I then looked over to JNPR and spoke myself "Ruby and I share the same dad but have different moms, so that's why we don't really look alike." I answered the unasked question about Ruby and I.
They looked between the four of us, a little stunned at our story. "Wow, that's some story." Ren spoke for the first time, quiet intrigued by our story. "That it is Ren, that it is." I say to him, taking a sip of my water.
We sat there and chatted for a few more minutes until all our food was gone. Wiping my mouth, I spoke "Well, that was delicious but it falls just short of dads cooking." I say, with Weiss, Blake and Ruby nodding in agreement.
"I got to try your dad's cooking then, because this was the best food I've ever had." Nora set, patting her stomach in content.
"You'll fall in love with it, especially his pancakes." I say, and at the mention of pancakes, she perked right up, a great big smile appearing on her face. It seems that dad is going to gain a new fan of his cooking.
Weiss's POV
We left the cafeteria and made our way towards our first class along with Team JNPR. Our teacher for our first class is someone called Professor Port, who I'm pretty sure attended mom's funeral. I'll have to ask him after class. He teaches Grimm studies, so this should be a fun class to attend. The real challenge today is getting Blake to focus on the classes themselves, so that is going to be fun.
We make our way to the door of the classroom and with a lurch the room was revealed. At the main front was a stage for what I could assume was to observe Grimm more up close and for the teacher to do his job from. The seating was leveled in increments, with about ten desks per row and ten more above those. In total, there was about fifty desks, quiet a large classroom all things considered.
We took a seat in the third row towards the right and sat down, waiting for the teacher to arrive. We didn't have to wait long, as soon in came Professor Port.
He stood on the stage in the center and gestured to all of us, "Good morning students, and welcome to your first class at Beacon!" He started off in a joyful tone.
"Incase you don't already know, I'm Professor Port, your Grimm studies teacher for the year." He said, looking at us all. "In this class, you will learn all about the different kinds of Grimm you will face in your careers, from the smallest of Rapier Wasps, to the biggest of Goliaths." He continued, "Thankfully you all have a wise Huntsmen teacher with decades of experience to learn from! So pay attention! It may very well save your life someday!"
Come to find out, it seems that he's quiet sure of himself. If the stories he was telling was any indication at least. After he finished his introduction he started to go on about his exploits against the Grimm in his younger days. It was actually starting to get aggravating and extremely boring.
I looked around and noticed that the rest of the student body was in the same situation as me, completely bored out of their minds. I look to my sisters and notice they were barely paying attention. Ruby was scribbling in a notebook, Blake was staring off into deep space, probably having the worlds most interesting day dream and Yang was nearly half asleep.
The class droned on and on with Professor Port still going on about his exploits. I was nearing unconscious with the only thing keeping me awake being the scribbling of Ruby's writing. I looked over to see what she was doing and noticed she was drawing doodles. My attention soon focused on that instead of the lesson that was going on at the moment. I'm sure I wasn't missing much.
Professor Port suddenly asked a question, but I only got the tail end of it due to not paying attention. Mentally berating myself, and promising myself to pay more attention from now on, I embarrassedly raise my hand to ask him to repeat his question. His eyes dart to me "So Miss Xiao Long thinks she is already a capable Huntress?" Blake and Yang soon wake from their stupor upon hearing our last names be called, probably thinking they were being called on.
I was about to speak up and say that I wanted him to repeat the question but I was a moment to late "Well come on down here!" He said, waving me on down. I could still tell him that I was just going to ask him to repeat his last sentence but then he would know I wasn't paying attention. That would be embarrassing.
With a sigh, I got up from my seat and made my way towards the stage. Professor Port then made his way to the back of the stage and rolled in a cage. I could hear snarling and squealing from within. The cage shook as the Grimm within slammed itself into the side of it, trying to break free.
"Now, Miss Xiao Long, I should let you know that you are perfectly safe with me here, so there is nothing to worry about." Professor Port told me. I just roll my eyes and take out my weapon and prepare for battle.
Professor Port turned towards the student body and addressed them "Now pay attention! You may very well learn something from Miss Xiao Long!" He said, making his way to the cage.
It seems that my sisters were now paying full attention to the class, as I soon heard words of encouragement, "You got this Weiss!" I heard Ruby exclaim from her seat.
"Yeah! Kick its butt Weiss!" Yang shouted soon after.
"Go Weiss!" Blake said next, holding up a little flag that said RWBY. That is absolutely adorable, I'm going have to get her to make me one.
Now properly motivated and with a smile on my face I straighten myself out and await the Grimm. Professor Port nods my way and with that, he lifted the cage door.
Out from the cage came a Grimm I was pretty familiar with, memories of hopping on one of these things backs sprung to my mind. I had to stiffen a giggle at that, those were some fun times.
I switch over to fire dust for my weapon, already knowing how I would take it out. It looked young, so it should...
"Just like I thought." I quietly murmur to myself. The Boarbatusk charged straight at me, intent on impaling me on its horns. Not wanting that to happen, I point my weapon down and fire a shot at its legs. The round impacts and the Grimm goes tumbling towards me.
Quickly switching to ice dust, I rush the Boarbatusk as it came tumbling to a halt. Just when it was about to get up, I stab straight through its soft underbelly and let lose a quick burst of ice dust, completely freezing the insides of the Grimm. It let out one final squeal of pain and hatred before I brung my foot down on its now frozen belly, shattering it in two.
It immediately began dissipating, the ash of its body being swept up by the a/c of the room. The sound of three people clapping entered my ears, followed by the sounds of congratulations. I smile up at my sisters, appreciative of their support.
I look to Professor Port who had a stunned look on his face, it seems that he didn't expect me to kill it that fast.
"Well, that was unexpected." I heard him faintly murmur. I gained a smile at that, glad that I exceeded his expectations. He comes out of his stupor, a great big smile appearing on his face "Well done Miss Xiao Long! I couldn't of done it better myself!" He said coming up to me clapping me on the shoulder. He turned towards the students and spoke again "I hope you all paid attention! That was a textbook perfect way to take down a Boarbatusk!" He exclaimed out to everyone.
Another round of applause came from Ruby, Blake and Yang, but unlike before, more people also joined in. A small blush appeared on my face but it was completely overshadowed by my smile.
Professor Port then looked to me "You may now go sit back down Miss Xiao Long, well done again." With that, I headed back up towards my seat. When I got to my row, I high five my sisters and sit back down, now in a much better mood than I was before.
It was about ten minutes later when the bell rang to signify that it was time for the next class. Professor Port seemed surprised by this, seemingly caught quiet off guard but he quickly recovered, "Make sure to read the pages I assigned for you, they might be on an upcoming test!" He got out before students started pouring out of the room.
We left soon after, heading towards our next class when I remember I forgot to ask him if he went to my moms funeral. Mentally slapping myself, I promised to ask him the next time I saw him.
Time skip, lunch
It was lunch time with us and Team JNPR were sitting down at a table enjoying our food.
"They have even more options for lunch!" Ruby exclaimed, devouring a pice of stake.
"Yeah, it's good but it ain't pancakes." Nora said dejectedly. Everyone deadpanned at that, it seems that pancakes are really that girl's favorite food.
"Hey, cheer up Nora, you at least have to look forward to them for tomorrow!" Jaune said, trying to cheer up his redheaded teammate. It works as Nora regains her smile and perks right back up.
We continued to eat until we heard the sounds of footsteps from behind us "Hey, you're that Weiss girl right?" A male voice said from behind me. I turned around to see who it was and saw that it wasn't someone I recognized.
I look at him with a confused expression "I am, why do you ask?" I say to him. He gains this smile that just doesn't seem right, like it was more malicious then friendly. Something is going to go wrong, I can feel it.
"The name is Cardin Winchester and I just want to say that you were mighty impressive in that clown Ports room. Man, was he's a boring son of a bitch, huh." The now named Cardin said, and it seemed like my feeling was going to be correct, this won't end well, I already know it.
My eyes glance to Blake who was sat beside me, it seems that she came to the same conclusion that I did if the brief eye contact we shared said anything about it. This guy just radiated bad vibes.
Trying to be as... diplomatic as possible, I responded "Thank you for the compliment, though Professor Port wasn't that bad." I tell him in a neutral tone of voice. I didn't even know Cardin for not even thirty seconds and he was already somehow pissing me off.
He shrugged his shoulders and continued talking "Eh, your wrong on him not being a boring bastard but whatever I guess." He said looking off in the distance before directing his attention back to me. I really don't like this guy.
He continued to run his trap "Anyway, I was wondering if you would want to come sit with my team and I." He said, pointing his thumb over his shoulder towards three more boys, who were currently eating their food.
"I'm sorry, but I'm going have to decline your offer, I do appreciate it though." I didn't appreciate it at all, every second this guy was still around I got constantly more agitated. Blake seemed to have the same feelings that I do as her cat ears were twitching in clear agitation at his presence.
A surprised look came upon his face, clearly not expecting me to decline his invitation, "Are you sure? I'm sure we're better company than this animal fucker right next to you." He said, flicking one of Blake's cat ears.
I heard the sounds of small gasps from behind me, clearly not expecting to hear something like that at all. To say I was pissed right now was a understatement, I was livid. My knuckles clutched so hard that they turned white and my heart rate skyrocketed. Oh I really don't like this guy.
"Pardon me?" I heard Yang say from behind me, voice cold as ice. Cardin, clearly not getting the sign at all repeated his statement "I said this thing right here is an animal fucker, her and the rest of her kind, am I right or am I right." He said, chuckling at his own joke.
I was just about to clobber the son of a bitch but Blake spoke up before I could "You want to say that to my face boy." Blake called out, venom dripping from her voice. She was pissed, but she had her anger under control.
Cardin turned her way, not controlling his anger nearly as well. "What you say, you abomination." He said, rage seething in his voice.
"I said," Blake started, getting out of her set and getting real close to Cardin, almost touching him "Do you want to say that to my face, boy." She said, making sure to stress the word boy. Her face was real close to Cardin's, staring him straight in the eyes.
Cardin's snarl became all the more apparent on his face "You better sit your mangey animal ass back down before I beat the manners your whore of a mother apparently forgot to." He said, not backing down whatsoever.
I was this close to explode and launch myself at the guy, but Blake spoke up once again "Go ahead, try to lay a hand on me. I dare you." Blake said, not backing down either, her amber eyes seething with rage.
Cardin's face was now one of pure rage, but it seemed that he still had some intelligence to him. He glanced over at and behind me, and stopped himself from raising his balled up fist, a look of fear plastering his face.
My eyes were ones of ice cold fury, promising nothing but harm if he laid even a single finger on my twin. I glanced behind me and saw that Ruby and Yang had the same looks, ready to spring into the defense of Blake.
Yang's hands were balled into fists, her knuckles completely white and her eyes were literally blazing red. She was ready to pounce and knock Cardin the fuck out. Ruby had a hand on her weapon, her itchy trigger finger ready to fire at any given moment.
Cardin backed down, but not before throwing hate filled glares our way. He turned around and stomped off towards his table with his tail between his legs.
Blake too returned to her seat, clearly agitated with her ears twitching like crazy. It was completely silent, no one knew what to say. I placed a hand of mine on her shoulder like usual whenever she got this heated and she visibly relaxed, sending a grateful smile my way. Ruby and Yang place a hand of their own on one of Blake's hands each. She sent a smile their way as well.
The rest of the lunch was spent in relative silence, though it wasn't much longer until we had to leave anyway for our next class so it didn't really matter.
We made our way towards the last class of the day, which was combat class.
"Man, I really hope I get paired with Cardin today, I desperately want to knock him the fuck out." Yang said, cracking her fingers, still clearly pissed at the situation. I was in the same boat as her. "You and me both Yang." I tell her, my grip on my rapier was like a vice, I really wished he tried his luck back there.
"Don't leave me out, I want to as well." Ruby said from the front, voice cold as ice. "As much as I appreciate you guys wanting to get at him first, I call dibs, he won't get away insulting mom like that." Blake spoke up, voice just as cold.
A new wellspring of red hot anger shot threw my blood, there was few things that collectively made us mad as a bull, Cardin just so happened to poke one of them when he insulted our mom.
We continued our march towards the classroom. When we arrived there was still ten minutes till class but the doors were open. We walked inside and noticed that it was just like the Grimm studies room, but a decent amount bigger. We made our way towards were we would sit in that class and plop down, eagerly waiting for the class to start.
It wasn't much longer until students started pouring into the room and soon after the teachers as well. I was mildly surprised to see that we had two teachers but was even more so to see that one of them was Winter.
Images start flying through my head as I look at her, and if I had to guess, they were memories of a long forgotten past. Everyday they get more and more detailed but it was still all to vague to really point anything out. It is a complicated mess that only gave me a headache the more I think about it, and I already was in a bad mood so I put it to the back of my mind for now.
"Hello students, and welcome to your first day of combat class." Professor Goodwitch started off, her eyes looking over the entire student body. "I will first go over what will happen in this class and what is expected of you." She said, and with that, a great big board lit up.
"In this class, you will develop your combat skills for when you become a Huntsman. This will include, but not limited to, hand to hand sparring, weapons sparring, one on one sparring, team sparring and much more to come." She said, with every subject she listed popping up on screen. She came prepared it seems.
"You are expected to participate in each of these categories at least once during your time here, with one on one being the predominate focus for this year." She told everyone, an expectant look in her eyes.
Silent murmurs erupted once she finished her statement, dozens of conversations taking place in one moment, well, they were, until the loud crack of Miss Goodwitch's riding crop silenced them all. Seeing that she got everyone's attention once more, she continued "You will be graded on different aspects of fighting, the most common one you will be tested on will be your actual performance in battle against one another, though if I do prompt it, you could be tested on observing how others fight." That last bit of information elicited a great many groans from the majority of the students.
Miss Goodwitch only rolled her eyes at the cries of discontent, "It may sound boring, but it is necessary to know your fellow Huntsmen's abilities while out in the field. They may exceed in certain places that you don't and vice versa. It is imperative that you learn how to fight with multiple people who have vastly different semblances than you, if you don't know how to, it could easily get them or you killed. So make sure to pay attention to your fellow students abilities." She finished, a serious look on her face that soon softened the slightest amount.
"Now, let's get to the fun part." She said, pressing a button on a remote she had. With it, a screen descended from the ceiling and lit up. She turned back around and spoke again "Now normally I would ask for volunteers, but Miss Schnee right here volunteered herself to take on a student at random. After their match, names will be selected to fight at random, so best prepare yourself." Professor Goodwitch said, pressing another button on her remote.
The room was filled with murmurs about who would take on Winter, with many of them voicing hope that they wouldn't picked. I can't blame them, who would want to go up against a teacher, one who was an Atlas operative at that. The screen went through many different photos, with me even spotting Ruby, Blake and Yang. It continued to randomize until it stopped on a picture... my picture.
From the corner of my eyes I saw my sisters turn their heads my way, surprised that I was the one picked. I was right there with them, just as surprised.
"Will Weiss Xiao Long please come down to the arena." Professor Goodwitch's voice rang in the room, taking me out of my stupor.
I made my way down and stood opposite of Winter, eyeing her up and down. She had a small smile on her face, with her eyes occasionally glancing in Professor Goodwitch's direction. Did they set this up? I didn't have time to question it further as Goodwitch spoke up again "The rules are the normal tournament rules, if your aura falls in the red, then you automatically loose. Is that understood?" Winter and I nod at her question, our eyes never leaving each others. "Good, now sync up your scrolls." She said and both Winter and I took out our scrolls and synced them up.
On the screen, two bars appeared out from pictures of the both of us, with them both in the green, signifying a healthy aura. Professor Goodwitch looks both our ways and then started a countdown.
"Alright, on go." She started, and with it we both drew our weapons. Me with my rapier and Winter with her swords.
"3" I straighten myself up, properly adjusting my stance.
"2" Winter does the same, preparing for the signal.
"1" Our eyes never left on another's, ready to do battle.
"Go!" With that, the battle began.
Winter took off right at me with blistering speed. She was fast, there's no doubt about it, but she wasn't faster than Ruby. I quickly fire a fire dust round at her, hoping to trip her up. However, years of training were not be done in so quickly, she sidestepped the first shot, still charging straight at me.
I was able to get off two more shots until she was too close for me to do so again. She slashed at me with one of her swords but I blocked it with my own. It seems the melee now beings.
A hail of sword slashes descended upon me at such speeds that they started to blur. Each slash tested my defenses for any kind of weakness to exploit, they were unrelenting in their pursuit. I blocked at every chance that I could and stepped out of the way when I needed to. Winter was a woman with mission right now, her swords were like a twister of steel, never giving any chance to counterattack or breath.
I was thankfully able to get a good deflect on one of her swords, messing up her footing in the process. I tried to exploit it, but she was smart and quickly got out of the way, repositioning herself all the while.
I to reposition myself, getting ready to go on the offensive, but Winter had other plans. She stabbed one of her swords into the arena floor and glyphs very reminiscent of mine appeared around her. I wasn't completely caught off guard when out of those glyphs came birds careening towards me, Ruby gushed a lot about Winter's semblance and about those birds and it seemed that she wasn't lying, I'll have to thank her later.
I throw up a glyph of my own in defense and wether the storm of constructs. Dozens slammed into my defenses, their power great, but I've trained them to take hits from Yang, I should be fine.
I quickly came learn though that quantity has a quality all of its own, as dozens upon dozens more slam into my glyphs. I was starting to buckle. I may have a high aura capacity, but I can only sustain this for so long under these kinds of conditions.
It was unfortunately my defense that gave way first, though the kamikaze petered out soon after wards. Some of the birds got through my the final defense that was my rapier, but it was only enough to lower my aura by what appeared to be 5%. All things considered, it could of gone a lot worse.
Winter and I were breathing a little bit heavier, sweat clear on our faces. We stood there for only a moment longer until we charged each other once more.
We clashed in a hurricane of steel, our swords zipping out at one another at breathtaking speeds. We danced around one another with our glyphs, bouncing from them to get a better angle. The battle was going on for an unknown amount of time, the only thing I was focused on was just Winter and me. If I paid close enough attention then I would of heard Ruby, Blake and Yang screaming in support of me.
I stabbed, slashed, blocked and parried, but Winter's experience was making itself known. All the engagements we've had left me coming out the worse for it. For every strike I landed, she got three of her own. The only thing saving me at the moment was my large aura reserves, without it this fight wouldn't of lasted nearly this long.
We clashed once more, with my rapier blocking both of her swords. She pushed in on me, intent on breaking my guard. I held strong as she tried to push me down, I've fought Yang many times, I wasn't going to buckle under her.
It seems that it wouldn't matter though, as she loosened her grip on her swords. Seeing an opportunity to possibly end this battle, I took it and immediately regretted it. She tricked me into thinking she was letting up to go for another attack and I fell for it. I pushed her off, and charged at her, then she struck. When my rapier stabbed forward, she blocked with one of her swords, sending it and me stumbling in another direction. Taking advantage of my poor foot placement, she tripped me up and backhanded me, sending me right on my back. I lost Myrtenaster during my fall and was left weapon less on the floor. She placed the blade of sword's directly at my neck in a scissor like fashion. The battle was over. I lost.
"Winner Is Winter Schnee." Professor Goodwitch said. I looked up to Winter who had sweat pouring off her face, her breathing was heavy but the smile of hers couldn't of been missed. She enjoyed our little engagement. Winter sheathed her swords and offered me a hand to get up. I took and she pulled me up to my feet, clapping her other hand on my shoulder.
"That was very well done Weiss, you sure gave me a run for my money." She said, breath still heavy.
"Thank you Miss Schnee." I replied to her, breath just as heavy.
She looked me up and down observing every aspect of me, trying to find something "If you had a little bit of extra training along with some field experience, then this battle could of easily been flipped. You have unparalleled skill with the sword at your age Weiss, your going to go far, I can tell." She said with a great bit of pride. I don't know why, but for some reason my heart clenched at those words, like I heard them from Ruby, Blake or Yang.
I give a genuine smile her direction and nod in appreciation. This battle has taught me a great many things, and I intend on learning from them.
I look up to the screen and notice that my aura was just about to hit red while Winter still had about half of hers still left. Not so bad against an Atlas operative if I say so myself.
With a final nod I turn around and finally register the applause that was currently happening. I was so focused on the battle and Winter that I didn't notice anything else. Blushing a little bit at the praise, I made my way up towards my seat. As soon as I made it to my row, I was bombarded by hugs from my sisters.
"You done amazing out there Weiss!" Ruby exclaimed, a great smile on her face.
"Yeah Weiss, the way you fought out there was exemplary." Blake said, her cat ears twitching about in excitement.
"I could of done better, but that wasn't half bad at all." Yang said in a teasing tone of voice, her smirk just as playful. I half heartedly sock her on the shoulder while rolling my eyes, a smile too on my face.
I finish up the hugs and sit back down, exhaustion hitting me like a ton of bricks. How long did we fight for?
"Hey, how long was I down there?" I questioned them, Ruby turned towards me and answered "About ten minutes." She said, a tone and look of awe from her. I gain a small blush at and pull her into a side hug, happy that she still looks at me that way sometimes.
Yang hands me a water and I gulp it down, savoring its taste. Blake's nose cutely crumples up a bit, her face turning sour "You need another shower." She said, holding her nose. I roll my eyes at that but I do agree with her, I do smell bad and the sweat wasn't a nice feeling on my skin.
I sit back and watch as the next two combatants take the stage, ready to do battle themselves. Cardin may of ruined the mood for a little bit, but it didn't last for long. My sisters were smiling again. A small genuine smile crossed my face, happy that I was able to lift their moods. Something is telling me we'll have problems with Cardin in the future, but we can cross that when we come to it. Right now, all I want to do was just enjoy the moment with the most precious people in the world to me.
Blake's POV
Classes were over and we made our way back to our room. Yang, Ruby and I never got to fight today, which was a bummer. Cardin however did get to fight, against Jaune at that, but the results were the opposite of what we wanted. Cardin beat Jaune quiet soundly, it was like watching a person who was brand new to fighting go up against someone who was a master at their craft.
While Jaune tried to beat him, I knew it was over in the first clash they had. Cardin just out classed him in everything, from raw power to sheer skill, Jaune was outclassed. The fight only lasted as long as it did due to his high aura reserves, but that was also a curse. Cardin was unrelenting and cruel in his fight, going for blows that were more painful than actually useful. It wasn't a fight, it was just Cardin bullying Jaune.
The silence was awkward as we made our way back to our room, not really knowing what to say to another. Team JNPR went to see the school nurse for Jaune, or otherwise we would be walking with them right now. It continued to be silent, that was until Weiss broke it, "Hey Blake, I forgot to ask, but where did you get that small flag of yours?" Her words brought me out of my thoughts, it took me a moment to figure out what she meant but when I did a smile crossed my face.
"You mean this." I said, taking out the little flag with the words RWBY on it. Weiss's face lit up at that and she shook her head excitedly "Yeah that! Can you make me one as well? It's absolutely adorable." She said, a star struck expression on her face.
Yang and Ruby, wanting to know what the commotion was about, looked our way with curious looks. When they saw the little flag I had in my hand, their faces brightened up just as much as Weiss's, stars in their eyes as well.
Ruby darted right in front of me, squealing in joy as she looked at the tiny little flag, "Oh, that is so cool and cute! Blake you got to make me one!" She said while lightly blowing on it. She giggled as it flapped from the breeze of her breath.
"Yeah Blake, so the same for me if you can." Yang spoke up, poking it and absolutely adoring the little flag. A giggle soon escaped from me, if I knew they loved it this much I would of made some for them. I nodded their way, making a promise to make more.
I handed the flag to Ruby, who seemed quiet confused as to why I handed it to here. I smiled at her and spoke, "Since that is the first one I made, and it is red, it only makes sense you should have it. I can always make another one for me." I tell her, and the way her smile shone at my words made it all worth it. Ruby is just the cutest.
We continued on our way in a much better mood than before, talking about what color they wanted their flags. The answers didn't surprise me whatsoever, Weiss wanted a white one, Yang a yellow and me a black. The only reason I chose red was because it is Ruby's favorite color and because of our team name, so it made since to choose red.
We finally made it to our room. Upon entering I saw the thing of dirty clothes that I said I was going to wash. Sighing, I turned to Weiss "Get rid of those clothes Weiss." I said to her, going to pick up the basket of clothes.
"If you wanted to see me naked, all you had to do was ask." She said in a teasing tone of voice. I roll my eyes and gain a small blush, turning back towards her. I hold out the basket of clothes, indicating what I meant.
She eyes them and then looked to me "You know, I can do them if you want to relax." She said, starting to strip herself, already knowing my answer. I eyed her body for a moment before focusing back on her face, "You still need to take a shower, I don't mind doing the laundry, Cardin didn't ruin my day so much that I can't do this." I say, gesturing back to the clothes.
Weiss nods and now completely stripped, turned around and went to retrieve some fresh clothes and a towel. My gaze dips down to her cute butt for a moment before a idea pops into my mind. It should be sufficient revenge for what she did in the forest.
I rear my hand back while she was still picking up some clothes and bring it down, slapping it across her bare ass. She let out a cute little 'eep!' and jumped in the air. I watched it jiggle for the briefest of moments before I sprint out the door towards the laundry mat, not looking back. I heard Weiss scream my name that was soon followed by the sound of laughter from Yang and Ruby. By the time I heard it, I was already halfway down the hall.
When I rounded it I let out a small giggle. She was probably blushing red at the moment and cursing me out, but it was well worth it. I'll make her flag first to make it up to her. I walk the rest of the way towards the washers, now in a much better mood than I was during lunch, actually doing a little skip along the way.
When I finally got there, I noticed that I was the only here for the moment. After placing the clothes in a washer, I took a seat and pulled out my scroll, browsing the internet.
It wasn't that much longer until I heard the sound that indicated that our clothes were done washing. After taking them out and throwing them in a dryer, I repeated the same thing.
By the time our clothes were done drying, other students had started to come in and started to do laundry of their own. After taking the clothes out and folding them properly, I headed back towards our room.
When I opened the door, I saw that Ruby and Yang were playing a game, while at the same time, Weiss came out from our bathroom, just now finished showering. She gave me an annoyed look with a blush on her face while I sent a sly one of my own towards her. She rolled her eyes, the blush still going strong, and went to sit down on her bed.
Feeling a little bad, I followed after her and sat next to her, bringing her into a hug. She hugs me back after a moment and we fall onto the mattress, looking up at Ruby's bed, laughing all the while.
Weiss looked over to me, a smile spread across her face, she looked absolutely beautiful. "So, what do you want to do for the rest of the day?" She asked, a hand of hers on her chin.
I look back up at Ruby's bed, thinking on what to do. An idea struck me and with a snap of my fingers, I turned towards her, "Beacon has a music room, we can go there and sing, dance and play instruments if you want to." I told her. Beacon does have a few rooms dedicated to the arts, they have them so the students and staff can distress after a long day or after a mission. There have also been a few performances that have been played in them if I wasn't mistaken.
Weiss's smile brightened even more at learning there was a place to sing and dance. Singing more so. She absolutely loved to sing and Ruby, Yang and I loved to hear it just as much. She has the voice of an angel, the best voice I've ever heard. The amount of times her singing has brought tears to my eyes was to much to count.
"Yeah, that sounds like fun." She said, turning towards Ruby and Yang who just got done playing their game. "You two want to go with Blake and I to sing?" She asked them. They nodded at her, probably also wanting to hear her sing.
With that, we all got up and made our way out the door, with me leading them towards it. It was unfortunately on the other side of school, but the exercise was nice.
When we entered, we noticed that we were the only people in the room at the moment, our company being a mishmash of musical instruments laid neatly out. Weiss noticed a piano and made a b-line straight towards it. If there was one thing that rivaled the beauty of Weiss's voice it was her skill on a piano. The way her fingers flew across it and the sound the keys emitted were otherworldly in nature.
Yang made her way over towards a drum set that was in the corner of the room while Ruby made her way over towards a electric guitar. They were both very skilled in those instruments, with myself being quiet good with a saxophone, but the three of us didn't have the raw skill that Weiss had for instruments. Seriously, when it came to music she was unparalleled in skill, and in our opinions, the best musician we've ever heard.
I pick up a saxophone that I saw and after giving it a little clean, I look over at Weiss, waiting for her to start playing. We've somehow came up with music that meshed our four chosen instruments perfectly. It took us a long time, but we eventually did it.
She nods our way and starts playing, the sound of the keys reverberate through out the room, sounding divine to my ears.
Timeskip, two hours later
To say that we had fun was an immense understatement, we had an absolute blast. At first, we just played our instruments in tune with one another, just enjoying the concoctions of sounds that our instruments made in tune with one another. That was until Ruby and I started dancing with each other while doing so.
It broke up our little music session, but it wasn't bad at all. Instead, we linked up one of our scrolls to the sound system in the room and started playing some music to dance to. We laughed and danced with one another, enjoying every moment we had with each other. The times I danced with one of them solo actually left my heart fluttering in my chest. They are the absolute best, never failing to make me smile. Their smiles and happy expressions were beautiful things to look at, so much so that I got lost in them many times. I actually came close to kissing them a few times.
That thought brought a blush to my face, sure, I've kissed them before, but those times were different. Those were pecks on the cheek or the forehead, not on the lips like I wanted to do at those moments. I shake the thoughts from my head, it was probably just emotions of the day running high, latching onto all the positives and juicing them ten fold. I'm sure they will calm soon enough.
After we got done dancing, Weiss said that she wanted to sing for a little bit and then leave. We agreed with her, we spent a decent amount of time here anyway and it was getting close to dinner.
We sat back and listened to Weiss sing, and just like all times before, her voice was heavenly. It brung me great peace to my mind and lessened the tension I didn't even know I had. I just sat back and relaxed, letting none of my worries enter my mind.
By the time she was done, I was left with tears of happiness streaming down my cheeks, completely at peace with myself. After we all gave her a hug for her otherworldly performance, we left with our hands slung over one another. This was an amazing idea, I'm so glad that we decided to come here.
When we got back to our room, the time was 5:30, leaving us with an extra thirty minutes until dinner time came about.
"That was so much fun!" Ruby said, jumping onto Weiss's bed. Weiss only rolled her eyes at our younger sisters shenanigans and plopped down right beside her, happy with the day she had.
"Yeah, that was well worth it. Great call Blake." Yang said, clapping me on the shoulder. I smile up at my older sister and head for the desk in the room, intending to start on the flags I promised them all.
By the time I was done with them, it was about ten minutes till the dinner would start. I looked behind me to see that Weiss, Yang and Ruby were cuddled up together on Weiss's bed, talking about whatever came to their minds.
I got up from my seat and approached them with my hands behind my back. They looked at me with curious looks, wondering what I had behind my back.
I bring my hands out and show them the cute little flags I made for Weiss, Yang and I. Weiss and Yang hop up from the bed, great big smiles plastering their face. They take their flags that had the colors they wanted and started waving them about, cute little giggles coming from them as they done so.
They turned towards me and brung me into a hug. I hugged right back, enjoying the feeling of their bodies pressed against me. We soon separated and I joined in on waving my flag as well.
"You guys like them?" I asked them and I got an immediate response. "Blake, I adore it! Thank you!" Weiss said, placing hers down on her bed. Yang done the same and gave me another hug before walking towards the door and put her shoes on.
"Well, now that that is over with, I say we go to dinner and then come back here and binge some TV. That sound good to you guys?" She asked us, I just nodded, binging TV sounds like a great way to end our first day. Weiss and Ruby nodded at her as well and with that we got put our shoes back on and headed out the door.
Dinner was just as good as breakfast and lunch, but still couldn't beat out dad's cooking. Then again, dad was pretty much a master class chef, so it was kinda a unfair comparison. By the time we got our second plates, Team JNPR had joined us. We talked about how our first day at school went and about our teachers.
They seemed a little bummed out though, especially Jaune. Cardin, who we thankfully didn't see, did a real number on him, but it seems what was most affected was his mentality. It was a complete contrast from how he was this morning, from happy and upbeat, to a downcast expression. I swear, I can't wait to get my hands on Cardin.
When we were back in our room, Ruby spoke up, "You know, we probably should of invited them to hang out with us today. They seemed like they really needed it." She said, slightly worried for our first friends at Beacon.
"Yeah, we probably should of, want to ask to ask them if they want to watch some TV with us?" Yang said, concern clear in her voice as well.
Ruby nodded and stood up from were she was sitting, "Yeah, I'll go ask them." She said, heading out the door.
We didn't have to wait long before she returned, a sad smile on her face, "They said they were going to turn in early for tonight, and start a fresh new day tomorrow." She said, plopping back down in her seat. I can't blame them, I would as well if I was in their shoes.
Weiss placed a comforting hand on Ruby's shoulder, bringing her into an embrace. Ruby melted into it and leaned on her, noticeably enjoying the cuddling.
Yang and I soon joined them, with me taking the other side of Ruby while Yang took the other side of Weiss. We leaned in together, getting comfortable before Yang pressed a button to turn on the TV. There was a slight problem though.
"We forgot to turn off the lights." Weiss complained, not wanting to get up. I didn't want to either so I looked around a little bit and spotted a shoe of mine. I took it in my hand and hurled it at the light switch. It rung true and with it the room descended into darkness. Weiss deadpanned at me for doing that and in return I stuck my tongue out at her. She could only sigh but the smile on her face betrayed her true emotions.
We turned our attention towards the TV and started to watch whatever was on. We spent the next few hours cuddling with each other and watching a few movies, content on letting the rest of the day pass.
Evening soon turned into night with the sun waning to the shattered moon to indicate so. I looked over at my sisters and saw that Ruby was nearly half asleep, her head laying on Weiss's shoulder. Weiss, Yang and I were in the same situation, ready to go to sleep as well.
"You guys want to go to our beds, or do you just want to sleep here." Yang said, I was about to respond but Ruby cut me off by pulling Weiss and I close to her, not intending to let us go. With an adorable "stay" our decision was made for us. A smile spread across my face and I leaned into Ruby, enjoying the warmth of her skin. Yang turned off the TV and leaned into Weiss, closing her eyes with a content smile.
I soon close my own. The day could've gone better, sure, but overall it was a great day. Beacon was going to bring a great many challenges to us I could tell, but with each other I knew we would be able to wether what ever comes our way.
My final thoughts before I fell asleep were on my sisters and the love that I have for them and that have given me. With that, I was off into a blissful slumber, dreaming of my wonderful sisters.
Holy crap, 15k words. I don't believe it.
This chapter wasn't supposed to be this long. I swear to you it wasn't. It was supposed to be about 8-10k, just a brief overview of the day Team RWBY had. That was, until I started typing and the words just came pouring out.
I liked this chapter, but I don't love it. There were a lot of things I could of done differently and that I probably should've done, but I didn't. Let me know what you think though, I really value all of your guys opinions.
As you can see, I switched up a lot of things from canon. Cardin attempted to flirt with Weiss and that went about as well as expected. I can tell you this, Forever Fall is going to be real different.
I actually had that lunchroom scene planned for a while, taking inspiration from Sisterhood. Though as you can tell, it went vastly different than that fic. I actually rewrote that part three times, so that was fun.
Also, Team RWBY is starting to notice each other more and more! So that's fun! I actually liked writing that Ruby scene with her in the shower. But please, let me know if you don't like it. I think I'm doing this as organically as possible, but you could see something I don't, so please, let me know.
One other thing, let me know how you felt on the fight between Weiss and Winter and tell me how I can improve in the future.
That is about all I got to say, other than the fact this is now on scribblehub as well, so go check that out if you want.
Please leave a review and let me know your ideas, praises and critiques, I LOVE to read them, so don't hold back.
Well that is all I got, so until next time and have an amazing day!
