Chapter 7: Intruders
"Mmm, so soft," Legosi murmured as he shifted in his sleep.
"What is this?" The wolf thought to himself as he rubbed his hand up and down whatever it was he was holding. "It's so soft and it smells nice."
Legosi, despite still being mostly asleep, pulled the soft object even closer to him so that it was right against his chest. He then shifted his head once more so that what he was holding was resting just under his muzzle.
As he continued getting comfortable, he felt the object moving. This caused him to open his eyes slightly and see something yellow. Still in his groggy state, the wolf allowed his instincts to guide him in taking a whiff.
Legosi sniffed it and was filled with a sense of warmth and familiarity. He smiled and took another whiff, giving him a strange sense of pleasure.
"Mmm… Jack," he murmured.
"... JACK!" Leogis shouted as his eyes shot wide open.
He quickly sat up and as he did, his hand slipped off the bed, causing him to fall out of his cubicle and startling his roommates.
"Legosi! Are you alright?!" Durham asked as he reached down to help his friend.
The wolf shook his head. "Y-Yea, I'm alright."
Jack poked his head out from the curtain. "Hey Legosi, is something wrong?"
"Yea, why did you freak out like that?" Collot yawned as he climbed out of bed.
"I uh… I guess I was just surprised to find Jack in my bed," the wolf said, still feeling groggy.
Everyone looked at him in confusion.
"But Legosi, you asked him to spend the night with you," Miguno said, looking at the larger carnivore as if he had two heads.
"Wh-what? I-I don't-" Legosi shook his head before looking down at the floor, his ears folded back.
"I don't remember asking that though."
"Really?" Jack asked. "Didn't you ask me to stay with you after we watched that movie?"
"What are you talking about Jack? What movie?" Collot asked.
"The movie… the one we watched last night," the labrador answered, starting to second guess himself.
"I don't remember watching a movie," the white sheep dog replied. "Come to think of it, I don't even remember going to sleep last night."
Everyone looked at Collot before turning to each other.
"Actually, now that you mention it," Durham said as he tilted his head. "I don't remember going to bed last night either. I remember everyone being worked up about some stuff, but the rest is a blur."
"Yea, I remember that!" Miguno said as he stood up from his bed. "We were talking about that Manny guy that Jack and Voss were friends with. I remember you getting upset and Collot asking if it's really alright to trust him."
"Do you remember what happened after that?" Jack asked. "Cause to be honest, I don't remember that conversation at all. I remember telling you guys about him and all of you being upset that we were hanging out with the guy who started a fight with us, but nothing else. I only remember the movie we watched."
"Uh… hey guys," Legosi interrupted. "Where is Voss?"
The others looked around and realized their tiny roommate was missing.
"Voss?!" Jack called out.
"VOSS, WHERE ARE YOU?!" Miguno yelled.
"Did he go out?" Collot asked.
"Not unless he woke up before us," Legosi said as he searched the beds. "Speaking of which, what time is it?"
The others looked for their phones, but couldn't find them either.
"What the heck, where is it?" Durham barked. "I always charge it before I go to bed."
"Did we fall asleep with them?" Collot asked as he searched his pockets.
"They're not under the covers or pillows." Legosi replied. "Nor are they under the mattresses either."
"Found it!" Jack barked, pulling his phone out from his backpack. "Well, I found mine anyway."
The labrador turned mobile on and saw that it was 8am and that he only had 25% of battery left.
"Good thing it's a Saturday," he said with a sigh.
Just as the 701 guys were about to start their morning routines, the door opened. They turned their heads and there, hanging on the doorknob, was their missing roommate.
"VOSS!" they yelled.
Their diminutive friend jumped down as the five roommates gathered around him.
"Where were you?" Collot asked.
"Why didn't you wake us?" Durham questioned.
"Did you bring breakfast?" Miguno asked jokingly.
The others squinted at the hyena before they rolled their eyes and looked back down at the fennec fox.
Voss, who was being bombarded with questions, put his hands up, signaling for them to give him some space. As they did what he asked, the tiny carnivore walked past them before climbing onto the table and turning to them.
The fennec fox looked at his roommates and noticed just how out of it they were. He asked them why they seemed so dazed, only to be met with confused stares.
After hearing about their amnesia in regard to what happened last night, the small fox began to make several hand gestures as he told them his story.
It was late at night and Collot and Miguno were pacing around their dorm room. They were upset that both Jack and Voss were hanging out with the fox that was basically the cause of the cafeteria incident.
The sheep dog sat down at the table and let out a sigh, ignoring Miguno who continued pacing behind him. He turned to the labrador and fennec fox, their ears and tails drooping.
"Look, I don't like feeling like this," Collot said as he crossed his arms. "I know it's not like we have to tell each other about every little thing that goes on in our lives and it's not like we don't have friends outside our pack. It's just… why? Why didn't you say anything about this?"
"I mean, this guy could be taking advantage of you two. It definitely sounds like something he would do, from what Jack's told us about him."
Just as Voss was about to explain the situation, Durham walked in, giving his roommates a confused look.
"What's going on here?" the coyote asked.
Miguno began to stutter. "W-Well J-Jack here-"
Just then, their missing wolf roommate burst through the door in a panic.
"GUYS!" Legosi yelled as he walked in, throwing his bag to the side. "There's something I have to tell you!"
"LEGOSI!" Jack shouted as he stood up in surprise. "What's wrong?!"
The wolf stopped just short of the table before he slammed his hands on it.
"I-I don't know how to say this, but I think we might be in danger!"
"WHAT!" the canines shouted.
After taking a moment to catch his breath, their largest packmate explained what happened to him and Els. How he'd been feeling like something or someone was watching and following him for the past week. He also told them that Els had been feeling the same thing and that it couldn't have been a coincidence.
"Well, that's just great," Durham said in annoyance. "If it's not one thing it's another."
"So wait, you think someone is targeting the Drama club again?" Jack asked in a concerned voice.
"More like its members," the coyote retorted, letting out a groan.
"Do you think it could be the same animal?" Collot asked.
"I don't know," Legosi answered. "But if it is, we need to stop them before they hurt anyone else!"
Before anyone could respond, Voss jumped on the table and stomped his foot, getting everyone's attention. As they looked down at him, the fennec fox started making a series of gestures to explain why it was a bad idea to act on a whim.
He explained that just having a feeling wasn't enough to prove anything or get any help. Any actions on their part could alert the animal responsible, which would either scare them away or worse cause the predator to attack them.
"Yea, you're right about that," Legosi said as he let out a sigh.
"Leave it up to the big guy to be the voice of reason," Miguno said with a smile.
"For sure, but that doesn't really help with what we should do next," Durham said sadly as he looked to the side, his ears folded back and his tail drooping. "If this bastard is still hanging around, then everyone is in danger, mainly Legosi if he goes after his club again."
Collot let out a sigh. "Yea, you're right about that. I'll admit though, a part of me doubts they'll go after the club a second time considering what would happen. If they attacked the club again, the news would get out even faster than before and the whole school would be in an uproar. The security officers would no doubt uncover something that they could use to find them this time."
"I… I don't think that would be the case," Legosi said with a melancholy tone in his voice.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked.
"Think about it, if the club was attacked again, all eyes would be on the carnivore members just like before. They would no doubt use it as a springboard for any accusations they make."
"If the murderer is an outsider, then they would be able to frame any of us pretty easily. The way I see it, unless they're a carnivore in the club, there would be no downsides to attacking us again," the wolf explained.
The room went silent. As much as the 701 pack didn't want to admit it, Legosi's logic was sound. It made it hard for any of them to respond.
Legosi, seeing how affected his friends were, decided to change the subject.
"Listen guys, I know we are in a bad spot right now, not just with our murderer problem, but with each other as well."
Everyone looked up at their largest roommate.
"I know life hasn't been very kind to us recently. We've been doing what we can to get by, but I think we all know that we're at our wits end. So, why don't just hang out tonight and forget about what's been going on."
"Hang out?" the others said in confusion.
Legosi nodded. "Yea, hang out, just us. No worrying about the police, the rumors, or the crazed carnivore on the loose. I mean, I get it if you don't want-"
"That's a great idea!" Miguno cheered.
"R-Really?" Legosi asked in a surprised tone, his tail wagging happily.
"Yeah!" the hyena responded. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of feeling all sad and gray. For pete's sake, the last time any of you seemed to have any fun was during the festival and that was AGES ago!"
Miguno jumped up onto the table before picking Voss up and tossing him on his shoulder.
"Seriously, when was the last time we had a jam session or a wrestling match, or even played a game of 'Fauna Party 3'?"
"I get it, we've been dealing with a lot, but we won't get anywhere worrying about stuff we can't control. So I say to heck with everything cause right now it's just us, as it's always been!"
"So I say screw the school, screw the police, and especially screw that idiot who's been causing us grief right up in the A.S.S. because we're not gonna let them get us down anymore! You all with me?!"
The 701 packmates looked at each other before letting out small bits of laughter while Voss pumped his fist cheerfully.
"Well, good to see Chuckles is back to normal," Durham laughed.
"Yea, I almost forgot he was the funny one," Collot said sarcastically.
"And the most unaware," Durham said with a smile as he rolled his eyes.
Legosi, who was watching, let out a hearty laugh. He simply looked up at his friend and gave him a genuine smile, something that, while not as exotic as before, was still pretty rare.
"Miguno, don't ever change," the wolf said in a calm and quiet voice, giving the hyena one of the most honest smiles he'd ever given.
Miguno, who was surprised by this, laughed awkwardly and started to blush. He rubbed the back of his head, his tail wagging with joy.
This made everyone laugh at their red faced friend, causing him to blush even more and his tail to wag even faster.
Just as the mid-sized carnivore was about to jump down, Legosi suddenly stepped forward and picked him up by his torso. Rather than putting him down however, the wolf brought Miguno into a hug, surprising everyone.
Miguno tried to speak, but couldn't once he felt the hug get tighter and his friend rubbed against him. It was here, where the hyena finally reciprocated the hug, rubbing his cheek against Legosi's as the two of them patted each other's backs.
Their hug lasted for a bit before the others joined in the hug as well, thanking Miguno for always trying to lift their spirits. The hyena didn't respond. He just hugged all of them back and smiled, knowing that he was able to put a smile on their faces once more, even for a moment.
Voss ended his story by explaining that after their hug, they all agreed to relax and watch a movie together. They even went as far as ordering take out. He unfortunately couldn't remember anything after that and shrugged. He wanted to tell them what happened after that, but his memory had ended there.
"Ok, so at least we're all caught up… for the most part anyway," Durham said sarcastically as he raised a brow, a neutral expression covering his face.
"Yea, it's definitely coming back to me," Jack added. "But I still can't remember what happened after that. I remember getting the movie ready and Legosi asking me to sleep with him cause you know, everything's been really hard and we just feel comfortable like that. Everything else though is a blur."
"I still don't recall that though," Legosi barked. "I sat down to watch the movie and then I remember… you, Jack, cuddling up to me and getting comfortable while I pet you and me leaning back against the wall while we watch the movie."
"I remember that too actually," Durham added.
"Yea, I remember that too," the labrador replied. "I got comfortable and Voss sat on Collot's leg and then once we sat down to watch, we ordered over the phone, but I can't remember what we ordered. What did we order?"
"I… don't remember either," Miguno said in a confused tone. "Come to think of it, I don't remember anything after the food arrived or even what we were doing before that beyond just watching the movie."
"You know, now that I think about it, I don't even recall who or what it was that delivered the food or even if we paid for it," Collot said in a somewhat concerned tone.
"So wait, no one remembers anything about the take out?" Durham asked.
"No, it seems like we don't," the wolf responded.
Before anyone could say anything else, they suddenly heard a loud scream from outside their window. They looked outside and saw a sheep panicking as she called for help. Legosi immediately recognized her as Els's roommate and ran out of the room without a word, prompting his friends to follow.
Just as he reached the door that led outside, Legosi suddenly caught a strong scent. The large carnivore sniffed the air and as he did, he felt his heart stop as all the color drained from his face. He knew this scent, it was the scent of iron, more specifically, the kind of iron that could only be found in one thing… blood!
Now desperate, Legosi rushed out of his dorm and raced over to where Els's roommate was. After finally making his way over to her, he saw a large number of students gathered, all off them having a look of terror on their faces.
As he made his way through the crowd, he noticed several herbivore and carnivore students passed out on the ground, their faces white as bed sheets. He also saw many herbivores curled up in a fetal position, panicking and hyperventilating.
He arrived at the scene and there… he saw what could only be described as his worst nightmare come to life. At the top of the staircase to the main building's door, was Els, laying in a pool of her own blood.
The world… went cold and all Legosi could hear was the sound of high pitched ringing and his own accelerated heartbeat.
"Hey, can you hear me?"
"PLEASE, WE NEED AN AMBULANCE!"
"Someone get the teachers!"
"Why has no one called the police?!"
Legosi froze. He could feel his legs begin to give out beneath him as he started to panic. He tried taking deep breaths in order to calm himself, but his breaths became heavy pants as he broke out in a cold sweat. He grabbed his face, desperately trying to get a grip on reality, but to no avail.
The wolf became nauseous. No matter what he did, his whole world began to twist and bend as if it were being stretched and molded like clay. He fell to his knees and began to pant even more as his stomach was turned inside out.
"HEY! SOMEONE FELL OVER!"
Legosi continued to stare at the ground.
"Wolf guy! HEY SAY SOMETHING!"
Legosi was deaf to the world. He continued wrestling with himself in order to regain some semblance of control, but his efforts were wasted. Then, before anyone else could say something, Legosi puked, the smell of blood and the shock of seeing his friend torn up was too much for him.
He threw up a few more times before falling to the side and passing out, causing even more panic and confusion among the students.
"SHIT!" a leopard student yelled as he saw Legosi hit the ground.
"Oh my god!" a sparrow girl yelled before she too lost her breakfast.
"SOMEONE, ANYONE PLEASE HELP!" a doe student screamed.
Not even a minute later, the rest of 701 had arrived on the scene. They felt the same sense of nausea from the blood as their packmate.
"Hey! What's going on here, what happened!?" Miguno asked, trying his best to keep calm. "And why does it smell like puke?"
A male rabbit with white fur and a patch of brown fur around the top left half of his face turned to them. "It's… It's awful! SOMEONE WAS ATTACKED!"
"WHAT!" exclaimed the boys from the 701 pack.
"And that's not all," an elephant girl added. "This gray wolf guy with cream colored facial fur came to see what happened and started throwing up before fainting."
"LEGOSI!" Jack yelled.
The labrador pushed through the crowd looking for his secret boyfriend. He was able to find him with the help of one of the students who saw the whole thing.
"Legosi! Legosi wake up!" he called out as he shook the wolf's shoulder.
"Mmm… Jack?" Legosi moaned as he slowly opened his eyes. "What-"
"LEGOSI!" the rest of their pack called out.
"Alright, make way, give him some room," Durham commanded as they helped the wolf up to his feet.
Legosi, now being hoisted up by Collot and Durham, shook his head. His eyes widened as he remembered what happened.
"ELS!" He yelled, reclaiming his arms from his two packmates.
He ran over to his clubmate before falling to his knees right in front of her. Legosi then began to shake her shoulder.
"Els, can you hear me?" the large carnivore asked as tears began to form. "Please, please, not you too."
He turned the dall sheep over and to his horror, there was a large claw mark over her forehead and another on her torso where her uniform was ripped, blood slowly dripping out from both wounds.
"Oh my god! What happened to her?" a nearby doberman asked.
"What kind of animal makes marks like that?" a robbin boy asked.
"Where the fuck are the gaurds!" Durham yelled in anger. "Or the teachers for a matter of fact!"
Collot ran over to Els and Legosi. "Legosi, is she… you know? … Legosi?"
Legosi, who was frozen once again, could only stare down at his friend, his face now covered in tears.
"Legosi! SNAP OUT OF IT!" Collot barked as he shook the larger canine.
Legosi immediately snapped back to reality and placed his head near Els's chest. It was here, where he heard what could only have been a miracle.
"EVERYONE!" Legosi yelled as he turned to face the crowd of students. "It's faint, but I heard her heartbeat! Els is still alive!"
The students' eyes widened at the news.
"But she needs help! Please, I need two of you to help me! You need to have hands that are small but firm," the wolf barked. "And please, we don't have time to second guess ourselves!"
The students went silent. None of them knew what to do and they were too terrified to go near Legosi and Els. It also didn't help that many of them were still in a state of shock. That is until two students, a lynx and the rabbit boy from before, stepped forward.
"Alright, tell us what to do," the lynx said, trying his best not to panic.
"Y-yea, w-will follow your lead," the rabbit stuttered, doing what he could to remain calm.
The wolf nodded to them before taking off his shirt. He then began to tear it into strips.
"Collot? Do you have a water bottle on you?" he asked.
"No, we didn't bring one," the sheep dog said sorrowfully.
"I have one!" the elephant girl shouted before giving it to them.
"Thank you!" Collot said as he took it.
He opened the bottle and poured the water on both wounds, clearing the blood.
Legosi took one of his shirt strips and started cleaning them. He then pointed to the rabbit.
"Ok, I need you to hold this down on her forehead and apply pressure. Do you understand?" Legosi asked.
The rabbit nodded and took the shirt strip from Legosi. He then pressed it down on Els's forehead, the lynx doing the same for her torso wound.
"Legosi!" Jack called out. "The security team is coming!"
Legosi turned his head and saw several adult carnivores in uniform running towards the crowd of students.
"Everyone! Clear a path for them," Legosi ordered, prompting the students to obey. Legosi and Collot moved out of the way, telling the rabbit and lynx students to keep applying pressure.
The security team hurried up the stairs and immediately got to work. They took out their first aid kit and started dressing the dall sheep's cuts. They then lifted her up onto a stretcher and ran off to the nurse's office.
"Do you think she'll be ok?" the lynx student asked.
"I don't know," Collot answered. "I hope so."
"Who could have done this?" The rabbit student asked no one in particular.
"ISN'T IT OBVIOUS!" a new voice shouted.
Everyone turned to the voice and saw Els's roommate, her fists clenched and her face covered in tears.
"It was you, wasn't it? You horrible wolf!" she yelled as she pointed at Legosi.
"What?!" Legosi barked in shock, everyone now staring at him. "N-No, it wasn't me!"
"How can you say that?!" Jack barked, backing the wolf up. "Legosi just saved her, how can you accuse him like that?"
"You monster, I knew she shouldn't have trusted you," the dall sheep said as she clenched her teeth, her face now full of rage. "You pretended to be her friend and then you tried to kill her!"
"Are you crazy? Didn't you just see that Legosi saved her?" Jack yelled.
"The labrador is right, he did save her. So why are you so sure?" the rabbit boy asked.
"He may have saved her but don't think for a second he didn't have anything to do with this!" she yelled. "I bet you saved her so that no one would suspect you," the girl ranted, "or maybe it was a guilty conscience, but it doesn't matter, because I know it was you!".
"But how do you know that?" Durham asked, visibly getting upset by the sheep girl's accusations.
"Because Els said so herself!" she shouted.
"WHAAAAAAT?!" the crowd exclaimed.
"It's true," she answered. "When I found Els, I asked her what happened and before she passed out she managed to say one thing."
"What did she say," Collot asked nervously.
"She said… 'Legosi'," Els's roommate answered as she pointed at the wolf!
All of the students' eyes widened. They then turned to Legosi, their faces full of fear and confusion.
"W-What?" Legosi said in a quiet voice. "She… said my name?"
"Yes she did!" the dall sheep snarled. "So there's no use in denying it. YOU DID IT!"
Legosi put his hands up defensively. "Wait, that can't be right! You must have made a mistake! There's no way I would ever do this!"
"He's right!" Jack barked. "Legosi would never hurt anyone! He's a kind and gentle wolf who cares about his friends and would never think about doing something like this."
"You tell him Jack!" Miguno cheered. "I have no idea how this happened or why Els would say Legosi's name, IF she even said his name. But I know that the last thing he would do is hurt a member of his club!"
"That's right!" Durham shouted. "You keep saying Legosi did it, but you don't have any proof it was him. All you have is a barely conscious girl whispering his name. That could mean anything. So get off your high horse and leave my friend alone"
"I agree," Collot said in a calm voice. "Perhaps she did say his name, but until we know why, all of this is just speculation."
"Ordinarily I would agree, but I'm afraid it's not that simple," another voice said.
The crowd turned to the voice and saw a tiger in uniform staring them down. He then pointed to Legosi and spoke.
"Legosi, I'm sorry to say this given what just happened, but I'm afraid you will have to be placed in our custody for the time being," he said before producing a pair of handcuffs.
The students were stunned by this. They tried to form an argument, but before anyone could say anything, the officer cuffed the wolf and started to lead him away.
"HEY WAIT!" Jack shouted, snapping out of his shock.
Suddenly, all eyes were on him. "Please… YOU CAN'T TAKE LEGOSI AWAY!"
The tiger let out a sigh. "Look kid, I get that he's your friend, but if what that girl said is true, then we have to at least talk to him. What's more, we have evidence."
"WHAT!" the 701 canines yelled.
The tiger shook his head. "Sorry, but it's true. We checked the security cameras and it showed that Legosi was with the victim last night."
"Hang on a sec," Miguno barked. "It's true Legosi was with Els last night, but that's only because he was bringing her back to her dorm. He even left her with her roommate before leaving."
"And even if Legosi was on the cameras, I have proof that he couldn't be the one who attacked Els!" the labrador proclaimed.
"What?!" the guard said with widened eyes.
"I'M SAYING THAT LEGOSI COULDN'T HAVE BEEN THE ONE WHO ATTACKED ELS BECAUSE WE WERE SLEEPING TOGETHER!" Jack shouted, his eyes intensely closed.
The yellow dog opened his eyes to see what the tiger had to say, but all he saw was the guard staring at him in shock. He turned around and was taken aback by all the students also staring at him, their faces red and their tails raised.
"Um… what do you mean by 'sleeping together'?" the lynx asked sheepishly.
Jack's face went red once he realized what he said. He raised his hands and spoke.
"It isn't what you think!" he protested. "Last night we were watching a movie, the two of us with our roommates, and we all ended up falling asleep."
"Oh, that's what you meant," the rabbit said as he brought a hand up to his chin.
Jack shook his head before turning to the guard. "A-Anyway, there's no reason for you take Legosi, so please let him go."
The tiger scratched the back of his head. "Look kid, I know you're only trying to help your friend, but between the security camera and the accusation, we can't just let him go."
"But she's lying," Durham barked. "She's only saying that because she wants someone to blame.
Just as the guard was about to say something, someone radioed in. He answered the call and upon being asked where the wolf was, he explained the situation.
The animal on the other end told the tiger he understood, but that they still had some questions. So they instructed the tiger to bring Legosi with him, but without being cuffed.
The tiger did as he was told and after explaining himself, he and Legosi walked off towards the nurse's office, the wolf now free of his cuffs.
Before they did however, Legosi turned to Jack and gave him a reassuring smile before mouthing to him that he would be alright. This awakened something in Jack and before he knew what he was doing, the labrador walked over to the wolf and grabbed him.
"Jack, it's alright," Legosi said softly. "I'll be fine."
"You don't know that," the smaller canine retorted.
The tiger let out another sigh before stepping to the side, clearly seeing that the two needed to talk.
"I do know that and it's thanks to you," Legosi said happily. "I don't have the cuffs on now and I'm sure this is all just a misunderstanding."
"What if it isn't though," Jack said sadly, his ears folded back and his tail drooping. "What if they take you away? I don't want to lose you again."
"Hehe, shouldn't I be the one to say that?" Legosi joked. "I'll be back soon and once I am, we can figure out what's going on."
"What if you don't? What if they decide to keep you?" Jack asked. "We don't know what will happen, so please, there's something I have to do."
Legosi tilted his head in confusion before nodding to Jack. Jack then looked back at the other students, more specifically, their roommates. He turned to face Legosi once more, taking a deep breath.
What happened next, took everyone by surprise. Jack grabbed Legosi by the head and kissed him, right in front of everyone.
The students and more importantly the 701 boys all froze. They couldn't believe what they were seeing and were all completely slack jawed.
Even the tiger guard was rendered speechless by the act of affection. It became even more shocking when Legosi kissed Jack right back after the labrador ended his kiss.
It was more than that however, Legosi grabbed Jack and pulled him into a full embrace as they continued to kiss. The two ended their make out session and smiled at each other as they petted each other's faces.
"Promise me you'll be back," Jack whispered.
"Promise," Legosi whispered back.
They let each other go and Legosi headed off to the nurse's office with the guard, the wolf now leading the way.
Jack put a hand over his chest and smiled before taking a deep breath.
"JAAAACK!"
The yellow dog froze as he felt a force of malevolence coming from behind him. He turned around slowly and right in front of him were his roommates, all with sinister smiles on their faces.
"Uh… hey guys," Jack said awkwardly as a drop of sweat rolled down his face.
Durham, visibly pissed off, grabbed Jack by the shoulder. "Well now, I know you two had been keeping secrets, but this is on a whole new level."
Here's this chapter's secret.
Did you know that despite his playful and often clownish nature, Miguno is actually the most emotional out of the group? It's thanks to this that he can connect with others so easily and why his words carry so much weight when he talks to his friends.
The duality of this however is that he's prone to getting upset a lot easier than most and is able to sense the emotions of others which in turn also affect him. In a word, Miguno is what's known as an empath.
